Eric Sherman (then-corporate Scientologist writer), who is good friends with Lloyd Kaufman (independent film maker), contacted him about South Park. Kaufman knows Trey Parker and Matt Stone and has been friends with them for years.
Ortega reported today on his interview with Kaufman, Ortega interview Kaufman. Kaufman, clearly an unwitting target of OSA operative Eric Sherman’s advances, confirms that Sherman indeed pumped him for data on Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

SOUTH PARK: A PI met with a young filmmaker who recently graduated college (who was a student of Eric Sherman). The filmmaker recently did an interview with Lloyd Kaufman, a friend of Trey Parker and Matt Stone. He has agreed to assist to establish some comm lines in the South Park Studios and to try and get intelligence on their plans with regard to Scientology. He is going to approach Kaufman to see if Kaufman can get him an introduction to Parker and Stone and either possibly get a job as an intern there or as a writer (he has seen every episode of South Park).
Since Kaufman said he has been approached by so many film students so can’t recall whether anyone connected to Sherman followed up with him, the need for Eric Sherman to step forward increases. So far Sherman has remained true to my prediction in an earlier post, he’s gone AWOL.

I think this story will strike at the heart of a lot of Hollywood insiders…. they will no longer see Co$ in the same light that has been painted by Scientology stars Cruise and Travolta. Instead, they can see the dark underbelly of the Beast. A Beast that can slash out at anyone of THEM… The Hollywood stronghold of Scientology is burning down before our eyes and DM is playing the fiddle!
Robert, right. There is a lot to be learned from this series. Here is the most important point in my view: As long as David Miscavige runs Corporate Scientology every Corporate Scientologist is a spy. For example, every conversation Tom Cruise has with David Beckham, WIll Smith, Steven Speilberg, you name it, is dutifully reported back and is memorialized in a report and filed under that name. The buttons divined from those reports are used to control and manipulate each of them in many nefarious ways. Eric Sherman got called out in this series. Many more, and bigger names, will be called out in later ones – provided they not see the light and come figure out a way to make a clean breast of it without having to expose half of Hollywood and Washington.
Just like the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, any and every totalitarian regime.

That’s what this is in technicolor. Some of us got together and watched that movie after you recommended it Marty. The parallels of this moving story and what cob’s mob is doing gave us goosebumps. I think part of the effect it created was how well the osabots and “see-no-evils” have their covert ops justified AND how entrenched I was in that mindset at one time.

Kind of interesting that you’re supposed to be able to say anything to your auditor, and can only freely be in session and making case gain when you feel that way. So, knowing that anything you say to the CofS, OSA-controlled auditor can later be used against you, how free do you feel to actually be in session. NOT!!

Under the radar as I am, I have to say that I have experienced direct intimidation by e/os using old case data that has since as-ised. The fact that an e/o would use case(the way a person reacts to the world around him by reason of his aberrations) data to make a person feel less stable is more inquisitor like than a shepherd leading his flock. This is definitely ‘stazi’ secret police intimidation B.S. like the info described the the movie mentioned above.
How in the world could a new public with this data expect his innermost personal information remain sacred in the existing Co$. Truth is, one can’t. Only in the Independent World, where an auditor doesn’t have connection to a corrupt organization with an axe to grind, can a public trust his auditor to have his/her best interests in mind.
One could say I am in the crepuscule of my life and altho’ I have many “friends”(one’s you know and can trust) who are still ‘In’, there are many more in the Independent world who would not turn their backs on me if I turned toward them. The policies on disconnection are very strong in the Co$ and people should know that the bullshit that KP and other execs are slinging, ” that it is up to the parishioner to decide” is in fact a policy that one is REQUIRED to follow or get the axe as so many in the Independent world know.
It is some incredible strain to be under the radar as I know in my heart what my personal integrity dictates, otherwise I wouldn’t have demonstrated, “inquiring minds need to know”. I thought I remembered Eric Sherman from the early days but wasn’t sure.
Quick google search will bring up his website, along with a 3 minute or so blurb by Eric about Eric.
We all age differently so I shouldn’t really bring attention to how he looks BUT if Brian Culkin can talk about middle aged women and hair — I can say — Eric looks HORRIBLE. Too thin and too serious.

And then, below that is the photo of him in the video. Good grief! My first thought was that he looks terminally ill. It is creepy just how nefarious Miscavige and Radical Corporate Scientology (RCS) can be in relation to celebrities and others for that matter. Your comment reminds me of the flap that occurred at RCS management in Los Angeles, just before Lucy and I left, in spring of 2006.
Tom Cruise had been trying to get his friend James Packer roped back into Scientology. The Packer family was a media dynasty in Oz and James Packer had inherited it all. Cruise “befriended” Mr. Packer in 2002 a la David Beckham but with more success. But by 2006 James Packer wasn’t having it and the attempt was made to “recover” him.
RCS was using three Scientologists who worked for Mr. Packer. These three reported Mr. Packer’s every move to RCS including who he hung out with, what time he got up in the morning, etc.
James Packer was gotten into RCS’s advanced organization in Sydney but it didn’t go well which of course was a big flap within RCS. As the international manager over of all advanced organizations Lucy was called in to help and so witnessed the whole affair. To brief her, Lucy was handed the private/confidential dossier on James Packer that Celebrity Center International had on him which contained all the reports and intimate details of his life channeled back to them by his three “employees”.
Anyway, Tom Cruise wasn’t happy the move had failed and Celebrity Center International was baying for blood as a result. They wanted everyone involved disciplined, big time. One of the main people to take the fall for his failure to resume Scientology services was one the three reporting Scientologists who worked for Packer. She was rounded up by the Sea Org in Australia (someone from Celebrity Center International flew down there) and was disciplined and replacement for her was sought. Yes, RCS sought to replace an employee of a private company because she didn’t try hard enough to influence her employer. Part of the pretext used to discipline her within RCS, was the fact that she had taken a monetary bonus from James Packer, despite the fact that he gave bonuses to all his staff. I guess she forgot who she was really working for.

Today, in Marty Rathbun’s blog it is all about how David Miscavige has, personally or otherwise committed a large number of crimes against people and Scientology itself. It seems to be all about his betrayal of trust and the so many reasons he should be brought to justice. Over the years in this blog here have been so many good people helping and contributing with evidence of Misvavige’s crimes, which is correct and as it should be amongst the honest people of this world. However, all of these correct actions should not distract us from what Marty’s basic purpose is: KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING.
Recently I had the opportunity to spend time talking with my old “comrade in arms” Mike Rinder, and during that time I came to see more clearly that Marty is not “out to get David Miscavige” as his main purpose. Because he is a person who took the time and effort and has the intelligence to, fully understand LRH’s works, Marty’s aim, in spite of all the barriers he has encountered, is that he just wants to help people with the application of genuine Scientology. I was told that if it wasn’t for all this Miscavige issue, he would just be auditing day in and day out. Simple as that. He is also one of us people who, many years ago, agreed to sign a very long contract to help LRH and Scientology and it’s purpose of helping the Human Race enlighten itself towards Peace, Understanding and Unity. You see, many of us never saw Scientology as a cure to our problems. We saw it as a method of achieving a more rational, clearer way of thinking to improve our present and future lives and that of our fellow Human beings.
And that, as I understand it, is Marty’s, Mike and his closest friends, purpose.
By all means we must continue with our efforts to see to it that LRH’s Scientology’s integrity is protected and preserved for future generations to benefit from it. LRH made it clear in his policy letter Keeping Scientology Working and from what I understand, that’s what Marty and Mike and others means to achieve.
Wheather it be David Miscavige or other individuals out there inventing a better version of Scientology by reason of misunderstoods or because they know best or because they think KSW Policy is a violation of the right to “improve” things, the fact is that Scientology only REALLY works as it was intended and as it has been proved again and again and again, when it is applied STANDARDLY AND CORRECTLY. Other methods may appear similar but they are not the same as STANDARD SCIENTOLOGY. Sorry to beat my drum so loud but I know and you know it’s true.
I do believe that KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING is what Marty’s blog is all about. I believe that, while we must do everything possible to remove this insane MFer from his position in space, we should not lose sight of the REAL Purpose, which is much higher on the Tone Scale than Let’s get Criminal David Miscavige and his well paid minions, the real purpose being: TO KEEP SCIENTOLOGY WORKING.

Evidently the plan is to get Scn’s to “FSM” or solicit donations from other Scn’s for the IAS –and in exchange the person doing the FSMing gets 10 or 15 % of the donation. It works like an MLM. If I get you to donate $5000, I get $500.
While I am pretty sure that the MLM type payments have always been the case for courses and auditing, ( I am sure someone has the correct data here) ; the leaked email below would indicate soliciting others for IAS donations is now part of a scam to raise more money for the church without delivering anything to the buyer.
At least now they are being honest about giving nothing in exchange for the money they are coercing.

A point made by someone else about EO’s bringing up data out of one’s case: when the data was first looked at in session it was handled. When the EO brought it up for the person to do amends for, the original stuff was gone but now a second “echo” of the incident was being created. After this the guy is trying to handle the original again, thinking that’s his problem, but it’s really the “copy” made by the unnecessary handling in the EO’s office that needs handling.
Now with them chasing after you with some loony thought that you should be intimidated by your past, they are creating a third “copy.” Sounds to me like a reactive mind in full operation. Only this “Reactive Mind” is called a church!

UPI reported the event as a 80,000 sq ft building in major city… but see “Robert” comment that today people are gotten onto the SCN basic books and basic courses for the purpose of fleecing these Scientology newbees into IAS, Idle Orgs, etc…. There is little delivery of Scientology anymore, except in the basic courses and books….
DM made middle and upper level auditing ineffective in terms of a practice by re-defining F/N and bunch of other stupid GAT stuff.
Today, in the Co$ there is only belief that if you continue on and on, that somehow, somewhere you will get some of the Scientology that you are reading about. GFL… Good .F… Luck!

Sometimes it seems as though the Church of David Miscavige does not know that Scientology works! I had a case where a student on the Ethics and Justice Detection, Routing, and Handling course (say that five times fast! I think that was the name) acting as the deputy MAA at ASHO once declared me a “borderline suppressive” because I was not getting TA in session – had my PC folder open right in front of him. Said that I was getting 1 or 2 divisions of TA per session, something like that.
Guess what we were auditing? Method 1 word clearing, where a large amount of time is spent off the cans. How can you measure TA when you are off the cans?
This guy was caught and crammed. This was also 1982 or thereabouts, when the tech was still breathing in the orgs.
But the other outpoint was as you mentioned: If you audit and handle something, what the cuss does the MAA have to do with it?
A major reason why I no longer considered being an auditor for a living was this very thing: Having to write “non-actionable” KRs on overts found and cleared in session. This was anathema to me, since I know O/W theory and what happens when you truly find and handle these things.
As Ron said in one of the BC tapes of that period about overts: “We don’t CARE what he did. We don’t CARE.” From a whole-track perspective (and even this lifetime for most) people in general have done some pretty petty and evil little things. And some major things. You can’t be alive without having done some transgressions against someone. The whole point of O/W is to get the person cause over it, take ownership and responsibility for it, to stop justifying why they did it, so they can unfix their attention and stop any compulsions to continue doing it, and own up to it. O/W done correctly is an amazing thing – and no MAA or teenaged CMO kid need have anything to to do with it.
Apparently, DM did not get the memo. He certainly does not understand the tech.

like any group Scientology is formed and held in existence by common goals and ideals shared by its members. By betraying these ideals the CofS has betrayed Scientology. Through their actions the CofS actually has left Scientology. They have copyrighted labels, they have empty words, obedience instead of freedom, attack instead of help. To dramatize “The Lives of Others” is not Scientology. Hate is not Scientology. The copyrighted label the CofS has is misleading.
Scientology is those who uphold the spirit of help and helping others, of new horizons, of hope (and means) to leave the traps one feels he is in. This is fun and very rewarding. It is understanding and to me it cannot be separated from loving my brothers and sisters on this planet.

Of course Karen. My logic on the matter. I have always thought this and Scientology helped to make it even more real to me WHY. Of course, a person that has clean hands leads a happy life BUT…the Church of Scientology? Who would have ever even thought their hands might be dirty if they themselves had not come forward in so many ways to verify this. One point. If the authorities should choose to investigate a Church of Scientology, send OSA OP’s to steal their trash and film them, rather than just say “May I help you in your investigation?”. Karen, this has been going on for so long, since even before you were a the guest speaker in New York City that night I went to see you at the Americana Hotel. I knew this one lady and this is all she did was LIVE for her 10%’s off of people’s donations, and almost always from wealthy or affluent people that I know she really didn’t care about as much as she cared about LRH’s tech. She was in it for the money, only along with some of her close friends. Now I don’t mean to boast, but I want to be honest, how close can those people really be to each other if all they can think about is “how much money they are going to get off of the next sucker”. Why would anybody consider anybody that wanted to go Clear or OT a “next sucker” to get money from instead of impart tech and truth to. It is unheard of Karen and it is an original idea of the current management inherited from “devout members” like the lady I just mentioned. I will give you a hint who she might be, first name Debbie {former NY DAY Reg}. 🙂

Tom Cruise reported to his master (David Miscavige) that Steven Speilberg’s wife is an “SP” and Speilberg would like to divorce her but is afraid to do so because there is no prenup between them and if he divorces her, she will take away all of his wealth. 4a. Conditional Target . If an “Official Response ” is issued, and it is not in our favor, ruthlessly invalidate the “response” as illegal, or interfering with religious freedom. Force our “Government assets”, (using the previously assembled “smear packs”) to publicly make statements accusing President Obama and his Administration of “Bigotry” and call for a Public Inquiry into the “religious Intolerance” being specifically directed at The Church of Scientology and it’s parishioners.
5.By whatever means gather any information that could be used to “silence” anyone involved.
7. Using the information gathered in # 1 above, attack any and all persons involved in the whole process, their families and their friends, by using the compromising data found. Write articles, naming names and alluding to or publishing “indiscretions” on the part of these people. BE RUTHLESS!. This thing MUST BE STOPPED at all costs!
8. Using “Freedom Magazine”, get this malicious information and innuendo into the hands of all their contacts, associates, and their neighbors.

I use to know the auditor of J Packer way back in the 90s at ASHO ANZO. Her name was Janice Piesley. She was truly a wonderful person and accomplished auditor. But at that time Shane Brochtoff was the Snr C/S (this is the same SNR CS that ordered black DNs on Carmel Underwood), and as far as standard goes he was a loose cannon. Any command intention blew him off course. The more important the terminal the more he would panic and listen to instructions from above. He was a gutless SOB. Janice was shipped off to FLB and when she returned ages later was grey in complection, her husband (SO) had disappeared around that time as well.
Also Janice audited the first successful heart transplant recieptent in Australia, Fiona (forget her last name). She too failed to follow through with Scientology. Peter Sparshot, another ANZO C/S died, a whole host successful auditors disappeared with the intro of GAT. The CL6 & 8 course rooms emptied out and have remained so. A pattern is all to easy to see.
So much sadness and so much treason. It’s relatively easy to get results with Scientology, it takes incredible effort and persistance to f..k it up.
Their response punctuates their obvious and blatant arrogance and contempt towards anyone and any system that counters them in any way. The right to petition is a practice in our country. They are now attacking the White House for providing a venue for the American people to voice themselves and be heard.
Their arrogance, conceit and self-righteousness holds no bounds.
Lynne, you make a VERY significant point here. I got involved in my last “ethics” cycle (I was a BC student) in early 2006 after getting off some overts to an ethics terminal. Then I was told to write up a brief record of the overts this LT, then threatened with expulsion, then made to listen to some pretty good LRH tapes on getting off OWs which said one got them off for relief and rise in responsibility, then a FULL OW writeup in the area (I had already been extensively sec checked on most of them already), THEN declared PTS, then forced to contribute 10 Gs to continue the ethics cycle, THEN told I needed to start buying sec check intensives……
It became VERY clear to me that I could NEVER get off these overts. They would be “stuck to me” for years of tens of thousands of dollars of sec checking. Do you realize how completely contrary this is to LRH theory on the subject? You CANNOT… you are not ALLOWED to get off your overts/witholds and end cycle on them. Anything you say will continue to be used against you to make you wrong and OF COURSE…..to make you pay up, pay up. pay up for continuing to be degraded by others…..oh yeah, exchange, right. And if one is at all sane, one realizes that there are SO many better things to do in life than this.

That was first started in the mid 90s by the Pomerantz/Roberts travelling IAS Road Show for parishioners to reg each other. Even at that Time a substantial Portion of the Membership stopped showing up for these Events, and it was mostly a Number of OT Ambassadors trying to brown-nose some OT Eligibility Points bleeding down their VISA Cards. Serves them right. When the Donos & Attendances started to dry up, they’d call people to try and “Handle” those who were expected to show up. By 2001 they started to get real heavy on those “not contributing”, and that was a Year of major public Exodus. They are doing it all to themselves. I have no Idea what they are thinking beating People to be financially into the Ground for Decades expecting Scientology to expand. Even then it was quite apparent Scientology was most definitely shrinking exponentially. Well I guess by now it’s become quite cumulative.

Over 100,000 young people attended a recent rally to learn about a return to the old Buddhist ways. My 19 year old daughter is going to Sri Lanka in a few weeks to visit temples, investigate the holy life, and report back to us.

What is the biggest crime, truly suppressive, brain numbing and a violation of my reality in the extreme is that the IAS and OSA bots truly believe that THEY are who is saving the planet, without them it couldn’t be done. Auditors? Supervisors? C/Ses? peons in these guys eyes. If you want to be upstat be the top money-sucker of the week for donations that get you nothing but maybe a one-line commendation for you ethics file only to be followed by a KR on you the next week if you don’t keep your stats up…
The people LRH says are the most valuable beings on the planet better stop being so damned humble and stop dramatizing the “granting so much beingness” false data and get busy actually BEING what LRH says they are and put ethics IN on the administration!!!

I really hate to keep nagging on this widow business, but this is a good place and topic on which to further comment.
During Dr. Denk’s illness, we had an AO auditor in our home. His metered sessions were video’d. The auditor also filled out and turned in a daily “observation report.” She told me about this.
When Dr. Price’s “To Whom It May Concern” letter came into our home, I sent a copy to RTC via the auditor with a note that Dr. Price was demonstrably not capable of handling the administration of the Shaw Health Center affairs due to the false data he had. In then end, Dr. Price took four long years to eventually buy out my half of the building.
After Dr. Denk’s death, I requested an investigation regarding the matter through RTC and offered to help. Dr. Denk had been having trouble on Flag lines, through the Center and then we now had Dr. Price’s letter bringing up Dr. Denk’s work with LRH. There was no comm on this request and no investigation that involved me.
After Dr. Denk’s death, my home trash was gone through.
After Dr. Denk’s death, I had an immediate D of P and CS change through Flag.
After Dr. Denk’s death, I was escorted off post and out of ASI. I asked “who” ordered the action but was never told. Instead, the T/HAS disappeared from the org.
After I returned to post/ASI, I requested a B of I on the personnel change(s). This was never done as far as I know.
When I eventually made it to Flag for a refresher (I had missed two during Dr. Denk’s illness), I was sec checked on “security” at ASI.
That’s all I can think of for now. But, yes, what is expressed as willingness to help and cooperate by an individual becomes subverted into an intelligence activity by the “church.” This is extremely subversive and only leads to further trouble down the line, i.e. a well-stated and signed petition to the President of the United States.

We have some time since passed the point of achieving uniformly workable technology.
The only thing now is getting the technology applied.
If you can’t get the technology applied then you can’t deliver what’s promised. It’s as simple as that. If you can get the technology applied, you can deliver what’s promised.
The only thing you can be upbraided for by students or pcs is “no results”. Trouble spots occur only where there are “no results”. Attacks from governments or monopolies occur only where there are “no results” or “bad results”.
Therefore the road before Scientology is clear and its ultimate success
is assured if the technology is applied.
So it is the task of the Assn or Org Sec, the HCO Sec, the Case
Supervisor, the D of P, the D of T and all staff members to get the correct
technology applied.
Getting the correct technology applied consists of:
One: Having the correct technology.
Two: Knowing the technology.
Three: Knowing it is correct.
Four: Teaching correctly the correct technology.
Five: Applying the technology.
Six: Seeing that the technology is correctly applied.

Seven: Hammering out of existence incorrect technology.
Eight: Knocking out incorrect applications.
Nine: Closing the door on any possibility of incorrect technology.
Ten: Closing the door on incorrect application.
One above has been done.
Two has been achieved by many.
Three is achieved by the individual applying the correct technology in a
proper manner and observing that it works that way.
Four is being done daily successfully in most parts of the world.
Five is consistently accomplished daily.
Six is achieved by instructors and supervisors consistently.
Seven is done by a few but is a weak point.
Eight is not worked on hard enough.
Nine is impeded by the “reasonable” attitude of the not quite bright.
Ten is seldom done with enough ferocity.
Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten are the only places Scientology can bog down
in any area.
The reasons for this are not hard to find. (a) A weak certainty that it
works in Three above can lead to weakness in Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. (b)
Further, the not-too-bright have a bad point on the button Self-Importance.
(c) The lower the IQ, the more the individual is shut off from the fruits of
observation. (d) The service facs of people make them defend themselves
against anything they confront, good or bad, and seek to make it wrong. (e)
The bank seeks to knock out the good and perpetuate the bad.
Thus, we as Scientologists and as an organization must be very alert to
Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten.
In all the years I have been engaged in research I have kept my comm
lines wide open for research data. I once had the idea that a group could
evolve truth. A third of a century has thoroughly disabused me of that idea.
Willing as I was to accept suggestions and data, only a handful of suggestions
(less than twenty) had long-run value and none were major or basic; and when I
did accept major or basic suggestions and used them, we went astray and I
repented and eventually had to “eat crow”.
On the other hand there have been thousands and thousands of suggestions
and writings which, if accepted and acted upon, would have resulted in the
complete destruction of all our work as well as the sanity of pcs. So I know
what a group of people will do and how insane they will go in accepting
unworkable “technology”. By actual record the percentages are about twenty to
100,000 that a group of human beings will dream up bad technology to destroy
good technology. As we could have gotten along without suggestions, then, we
had better steel ourselves to continue to do so now that we have made it. This
point will, of course, be attacked as “unpopular”, “egotistical” and
“undemocratic”. It very well may be. But it is also a survival point. And I
don’t see that popular measures, self-abnegation and democracy have done
anything for Man but push him further into the mud. Currently, popularity
endorses degraded novels, self-abnegation has filled the South East Asian
jungles with stone idols and corpses, and democracy has given us inflation and
income tax.

Our technology has not been discovered by a group. True, if the group had
not supported me in many ways I could not have discovered it either. But it
remains that if in its formative stages it was not discovered by a group, then
group efforts, one can safely assume, will not add to it or successfully alter
it in the future. I can only say this now that it is done. There remains, of
course, group tabulation or co-ordination of what has been done, which will be
valuable — only so long as it does not seek to alter basic principles and
successful applications.
The contributions that were worthwhile in this period of forming the
technology were help in the form of friendship, of defense, of organization,
of dissemination, of application, of advices on results and of finance. These
were great contributions and were, and are, appreciated. Many thousands
contributed in this way and made us what we are. Discovery contribution was
not however part of the broad picture.
We will not speculate here on why this was so or how I came to rise above
the bank. We are dealing only in facts and the above is a fact — the group
left to its own devices would not have evolved Scientology but with wild
dramatization of the bank called “new ideas” would have wiped it out.
Supporting this is the fact that Man has never before evolved workable mental
technology and emphasizing it is the vicious technology he did evolve –
psychiatry, psychology, surgery, shock treatment, whips, duress, punishment,
etc, ad infinitum.
So realize that we have climbed out of the mud by whatever good luck and
good sense, and refuse to sink back into it again. See that Seven, Eight, Nine
and Ten above are ruthlessly followed and we will never be stopped. Relax
them, get reasonable about it and we will perish.
So far, while keeping myself in complete communication with all
suggestions, I have not failed on Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten in areas I could
supervise closely. But it’s not good enough for just myself and a few others
to work at this.
Whenever this control as per Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten has been relaxed
the whole organizational area has failed. Witness Elizabeth, N.J., Wichita,
the early organizations and groups. They crashed only because I no longer did
Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. Then, when they were all messed up, you saw the
obvious “reasons” for failure. But ahead of that they ceased to deliver and
that involved them in other reasons.
The common denominator of a group is the reactive bank. Thetans without
banks have different responses. They only have their banks in common. They
agree then only on bank principles. Person to person the bank is identical. So
constructive ideas are individual and seldom get broad agreement in a human
group. An individual must rise above an avid craving for agreement from a
humanoid group to get anything decent done. The bank-agreement has been what
has made Earth a Hell — and if you were looking for Hell and found Earth, it
would certainly serve. War, famine, agony and disease has been the lot of Man.
Right now the great governments of Earth have developed the means of frying
every Man, Woman and Child on the planet. That is Bank. That is the result of
Collective Thought Agreement. The decent, pleasant things on this planet come
from individual actions and ideas that have somehow gotten by the Group Idea.
For that matter, look how we ourselves are attacked by “public opinion” media.
Yet there is no more ethical group on this planet than ourselves.
Thus each one of us can rise above the domination of the bank and then,
as a group of freed beings, achieve freedom and reason. It is only the
aberrated group, the mob, that is destructive.
When you don’t do Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten actively, you are working
for the Bank dominated mob. For it will surely, surely (a) introduce incorrect
technology and swear by it, (b) apply technology as incorrectly as possible,
(c) open the door to any destructive idea, and (d) encourage incorrect
application.
It’s the Bank that says the group is all and the individual nothing. It’s
the Bank that says we must fail.

So just don’t play that game. Do Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten and you will
knock out of your road all the future thorns.
Here’s an actual example in which a senior executive had to interfere
because of a pc spin: A Case Supervisor told Instructor A to have Auditor B
run Process X on Preclear C. Auditor B afterwards told Instructor A that “It
didn’t work.” Instructor A was weak on Three above and didn’t really believe
in Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. So Instructor A told the Case Supervisor
“Process X didn’t work on Preclear C.” Now this strikes directly at each of
One to Six above in Preclear C, Auditor B, Instructor A and the Case
Supervisor. It opens the door to the introduction of “new technology” and to
failure.
What happened here? Instructor A didn’t jump down Auditor B’s throat,
that’s all that happened. This is what he should have done: grabbed the
auditor’s report and looked it over. When a higher executive on this case did
so she found what the Case Supervisor and the rest missed: that Process X
increased Preclear C’s TA to 25 TA divisions for the session but that near
session end Auditor B Qed and Aed with a cognition and abandoned Process X
while it still gave high TA and went off running one of Auditor B’s own
manufacture, which nearly spun Preclear C. Auditor B’s IQ on examination
turned out to be about 75. Instructor A was found to have huge ideas of how
you must never invalidate anyone, even a lunatic. The Case Supervisor was
found to be “too busy with admin to have any time for actual cases”.
All right, there’s an all too typical example. The Instructor should have
done Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. This would have begun this way. Auditor B:
“That Process X didn’t work.” Instructor A: “What exactly did you do wrong?”
Instant attack. “Where’s your auditor’s report for the session? Good. Look
here, you were getting a lot of TA when you stopped Process X. What did you
do?” Then the Pc wouldn’t have come close to a spin and all four of these
would have retained certainty.
In a year, I had four instances in one small group where the correct
process recommended was reported not to have worked. But on review found that
each one (a) had increased the TA, (b) had been abandoned, and (c) had been
falsely reported as unworkable. Also, despite this abuse, in each of these
four cases the recommended, correct process cracked the case. Yet they were
reported as not having worked!
Similar examples exist in instruction and these are all the more deadly
as every time instruction in correct technology is flubbed, then the resulting
error, uncorrected in the auditor, is perpetuated on every pc that auditor
audits thereafter. So Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten are even more important in a
course than in supervision of cases.
Here’s an example: A rave recommendation is given a graduating student
“because he gets more TA on pcs than any other student on the course!” Figures
of 435 TA divisions a session are reported. “Of course his model session is
poor but it’s just a knack he has” is also included in the recommendation. A
careful review is undertaken because nobody at Levels 0 to IV is going to get
that much TA on pcs. It is found that this student was never taught to read an
E-Meter TA dial! And no instructor observed his handling of a meter and it was
not discovered that he “overcompensated” nervously, swinging the TA 2 or 3
divisions beyond where it needed to go to place the needle at “set”. So
everyone was about to throw away standard processes and model session because
this one student “got such remarkable TA”. They only read the reports and
listened to the brags and never looked at this student. The pcs in actual fact
were making slightly less than average gain, impeded by a rough model session
and misworded processes. Thus, what was making the pcs win (actual
Scientology) was hidden under a lot of departures and errors.
I recall one student who was squirreling on an Academy course and running
a lot of off-beat whole track on other students after course hours. The Academy
students were in a state of electrification on all these new experiences and
weren’t quickly brought under control and the student himself never was given
the works on Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten so they stuck. Subsequently, this
student prevented another squirrel from being straightened out and his wife
died of cancer resulting from

physical abuse. A hard, tough Instructor at that moment could have salvaged two
squirrels and saved the life of a girl. But no, students had a right to do
whatever they pleased.
Squirreling (going off into weird practices or altering Scientology) only
comes about from non-comprehension. Usually the non-comprehension is not of
Scientology but some earlier contact with an off-beat humanoid practice which
in its turn was not understood.
When people can’t get results from what they think is standard practice,
they can be counted upon to squirrel to some degree. The most trouble in the
past two years came from orgs where an executive in each could not assimilate
straight Scientology. Under Instruction in Scientology they were unable to
define terms or demonstrate examples of principles. And the orgs where they
were got into plenty of trouble. And worse, it could not be straightened out
easily because neither one of these people could or would duplicate
instructions. Hence, a debacle resulted in two places, directly traced to
failures of instruction earlier. So proper instruction is vital. The D of T
and his Instructors and all Scientology Instructors must be merciless in
getting Four, Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten into effective action. That one
student, dumb and impossible though he may seem and of no use to anyone, may
yet some day be the cause of untold upset because nobody was interested enough
to make sure Scientology got home to him.
With what we know now, there is no student we enrol who cannot be properly
trained. As an Instructor, one should be very alert to slow progress and
should turn the sluggards inside out personally. No system will do it, only
you or me with our sleeves rolled up can crack the back of bad studenting and
we can only do it on an individual student, never on a whole class only. He’s
slow = something is awful wrong. Take fast action to correct it. Don’t wait
until next week. By then he’s got other messes stuck to him. If you can’t
graduate them with their good sense appealed to and wisdom shining, graduate
them in such a state of shock they’ll have nightmares if they contemplate
squirreling. Then experience will gradually bring about Three in them and
they’ll know better than to chase butterflies when they should be auditing.
When somebody enrols, consider he or she has joined up for the duration
of the universe — never permit an “open-minded” approach. If they’re going to
quit let them quit fast. If they enrolled, they’re aboard, and if they’re
aboard, they’re here on the same terms as the rest of us — win or die in the
attempt. Never let them be half-minded about being Scientologists. The finest
organizations in history have been tough, dedicated organizations. Not one
namby-pamby bunch of panty-waist dilettantes have ever made anything. It’s a
tough universe. The social veneer makes it seem mild. But only the tigers
survive — and even they have a hard time. We’ll survive because we are tough
and are dedicated. When we do instruct somebody properly he becomes more and
more tiger. When we instruct half-mindedly and are afraid to offend, scared to
enforce, we don’t make students into good Scientologists and that lets
everybody down. When Mrs. Pattycake comes to us to be taught, turn that
wandering doubt in her eye into a fixed, dedicated glare and she’ll win and
we’ll all win. Humor her and we all die a little. The proper instruction
attitude is, “You’re here so you’re a Scientologist. Now we’re going to make
you into an expert auditor no matter what happens. We’d rather have you dead
than incapable.”
Fit that into the economics of the situation and lack of adequate time
and you see the cross we have to bear.
But we won’t have to bear it forever. The bigger we get the more
economics and time we will have to do our job. And the only things which can
prevent us from getting that big fast are areas in from One to Ten, Keep those
in mind and we’ll be able to grow. Fast. And as we grow our shackles will be
less and less. Failing to keep One to Ten, will make us grow less.
So the ogre which might eat us up is not the government or the High
Priests. It’s our possible failure to retain and practice our technology.

An Instructor or Supervisor or Executive must challenge with ferocity
instances of “unworkability”. They must uncover what did happen, what was run
and what was done or not done.
If you have One and Two, you can only acquire Three for all by making sure
of all the rest.
We’re not playing some minor game in Scientology. It isn’t cute or
something to do for lack of something better.
The whole agonized future of this planet, every Man, Woman and Child on
it, and your own destiny for the next endless trillions of years depend on
what you do here and now with and in Scientology.
This is a deadly serious activity. And if we miss getting out of the trap
now, we may never again have another chance.
Remember, this is our first chance to do so in all the endless trillions
of years of the past. Don’t muff it now because it seems unpleasant or
unsocial to do Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten.
Do them and we’ll win.
