Now this is a test. Phillips refused to answer my communication to him two years ago about correcting a litany of false, black ops PR he has posted on me. He knows how to get hold of me. If he refutes the comments about Islam, and wants them removed – notwithstanding it being posted with the opinion of Mark Bunker – all he has to do is communicate. My bet is he won’t – because he is hiding like the little rat OSA operative he is and doesn’t want to open himself to return communication about his obligation to take down his OSA propaganda designed to destroy a number of people.
I also suggest people write to the “religious experts” who have been paid to legitimize Phillips OSA op page – and tell them a thing or two about who they are whoring out to.

I tried to read some Joel Phillips stuff to get a sense of him. I have trouble getting through the disjointed thoughts. He comes off as very aberated. As a Christian, I dont contact people’s business contacts if someone writes deragetory remarks about Jesus. so what if he writes whatever he writes…its all crap anyway that no one will take seriously. JD, what if he put up a derogatory website about YOU and made it known to all your business contacts, friends and family? What if it accused you of being a child molestor, or a jigolo or prostitute? Do you think exposing the person that did that would be harassment? I understand the christian philosophy of “turn the other cheek”, which has a wide interpretation often with lots of “excepts” – bit like “thou shalt not kill” (except for the death penalty or in war or in defence of your right to bear arms and so on); apologises if you’re not a gun toting right wing christian but you have to accept they exist. I digress.
The website is IMHO a proportionate response to RFW website. Kinda tooth for tooth, eye for eye but like RFW merely a counter weight to something that has little weight.
The whole issue of the Co$ OSA doing the dirty and hacking phone records etc is a whole different ball game.
I know of a couple card carrying Co$ staff who work in telecoms companies (2nd job) and so might have access to such information. It has long been my position that one cannot trust a Co$ person with access to any personal information from flight manifests to payroll to tax returns to phone records and so on because Co$ demands and usually gets allegiance to them above all other considerations.

Joel Philips’ company, American Coast Title, has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau and is no longer BBB accredited. (The scale is A+ to F) The reason for its F rating is “Failure to have a required competency license and 1 complaint filed against business that was not resolved.”

I think it’s good for any onlines Scientologist to have a good look at the RFW site and any other of that type of stuff the Church puts out (Freedom etc). It’s one of the things that woke me up. It’s so hateful and vile and 1.1 it should make anyone with any slightest hint of awareness left in their being wonder if they are in the right group.
I tried to use a link to that site a long time ago on a Craigslist distussion forum (Religion I think) in response to an “attack” on the Church. I was using that viewpoint and trying to defend the church and Craig himself deleted my handle. I emailed him and he said he thought I was critic trying to make the Church look bad.

I’ve just tried to too – and ‘tried’ is the operative word here. I was asked to be the Executive Director of the “Scientology Parishioners League”. (Our job–to “handle black pr re Hubbard’s name”). This was in 2000, and I just went to a meeting to “Help give us some ideas”. The others there was some writer whose idea it was to start it, a few others and Joel Phillips. She asked what we’d each done, and at the end she decided “Tory-you’re going to run this”. I didn’t want to—but hey, I did for a few months. (I escaped out in July of 2000—so mine was short lived, and pre-RFW).
However, before I left Los Angeles …I called Joel and said: “I’m leaving Scientology …so you can run SPL”. He laughed. I said, “I’m not kidding–it’s yours” and left.
Roll up to 2003 or so, and I’m at a picket with Andreas and Joel shows up. He announces there “I run Religious Freedom Watch”. I’m grossed out as I’m quite sure that was created and run by OSA, and that he’s just being used as a doop, in case any of us file for Libel, which they ARE doing on that site.
I tell him this, at that picket, AND that he has “Flat out lies about me (and many others) and the least you can do is hear *my* side”. He said e-mail him, but of course he never will be in communication.
This is a VERY stupid thing for Joel, and as I tried to tell him way back then, this WILL come back to haunt YOU—as you’re taking ownership for lies you don’t even know are on there, about many people, and that IS Libel. I highly doubt he’s writing RFW–as it just reads so much like something OSA would write, and he wouldn’t have access to all those lies.
However, he IS saying he runs it, and that site IS a flat out hate site with libelous words and images about many, many people. We should protect him? Sorry, I don’t buy that. It’s time.

What you should know.

The establishment in UK and USA is still fearful of alligations of religious persecution with respect to the church of scientology although they recognise it as a dangerous organisation.
I believe one role of you indies is to do what Marty did with Ursula in Germany, get the authorities to realise the difference between scientology and the church of scientology as it stands.
Any agency Government or private that gives access to employees to sensitive personal information should be on guard if they employ someone who is associated with the church of scientology. They should certainly keep tabs on their record access.
The PIs are only as good as their sources and the church of scientology still has many misguided sources.

Someone clarified for me a while ago that exposing another’s misdeeds is not “third party”. There is a big difference between slandering with false data – and exposing someone who does that – just as there is a big difference between a blackmailer and the cop who exposes the blackmailer. Contacting Joel Phillips’ business contacts to inform them of his actions in not slander. Slander is “making false statements”, and is prosecutable. Libel involves publishing false statements. The distinction is between true and false. Anyone not clear on this is far too wrapped up in listening to what they’re told about “non-discrimination, equality, fairness, etc.” instead of thinking a little bit about it.

I decided *I* needed to go LOOK on the Net (which I’d never done before this time, as Bill had scared me on that, too, with Nancy Many’s story–telling me “She went insane due to reading the Net”). I know that sounds crazy that I’d believe it, but back then the Net was new, and I did). Once I SAW they were spamming the one newsgroup w/ baking recipes and in between were people saying: “I didn’t say that, Scientology is changing my words”. I realized right then they were using these accounts not to help anyone, but to stop free speech. Also, that Bill had gone PTS to David Miscavige and this concept was frightening. mmmm Not when I was part of it. The OSA Int Internet Mafia group was separate from SPL. It was ***totally*** secret, only a few people belonged to it, and their job was to handle OSA attacks and hate pages on the internet.
SPL was to handle any bad Press in the media, be it TV, Radio or Papers. We got 4 “products” while I was there:
1) We got A and E to take David Miscavige off a TV show they were doing on Cults.
2) We handled some radio show.
3) Someone handled a paper that had “falsehoods about Scientology”
4) I personally got MTV to take off from the Simpsons wiping their asses with the Dianetics book, on some big awards show they were doing…and I did it the DAY of the Awards show (they changed it to a personality test).
I woke up shortly after that, escaped out, and the rest is history.

The police arranging media coverage for their raid was a very savvy move. The posted prices alone mark the Moscow org as an exclusive club for rich oligarchs, so the church is positioned as an enemy of the common people. Just watching the news from London is a reminder that we’re living in an age of terrorism. And, sad to say, almost all terrorism has something to do with Islam and Muslims, you just won’t find much of it that is not in some way connected.

First World Trade Center Attack: a blind Egyptian guy was behind it. No one contests it.
Oklahoma City: don’t forget that McVeigh served in the first Gulf War. There is good reason to think he was recruited by jihadists in Iraq who were active at the time.
9/11: Islamic suicide extremists, forget the other theories. They were Taliban zealots hoping for 172 virgins and palaces in Islamic heaven.
Spanish train bombs: more Jihad extremists, basically the same bunch as the 9/11.
London train bombs: not the same 9/11 and Spain guys, but more British Muslims from Pakistan.
Virginia Tech: This one is so sad. Psychiatry started Cho out. Then Islamic recruiters told Cho he would get infinite sex in Muslim heaven from the 172 virgins so he converted. By trying to destroy Virginia Tech he thought he was attacking Bush’s aggression in Afghanistan.
London night club bombs: Good for the Brit cops, they have caught some of the guys and it is more of these Pakistan guys and doctors at that, some of them were even psychiatrists. Maybe it is time to have a serious think about what to do about Pakistan. Mixing up Islam, Muslims, psychiatry and Pakistan is a recipe for mass murder and terrorism. Trust me on this one.

Kristi Wachter: she puts out a daily hate newsletter. She has paid for the theft of materials from churches. She says she used to run a record company but how much money could it make? It seems to me she is getting her money from bin Laden and his friends.

Conversion to another validated religion or acceptance of atheism are the only options I see. No other religion is associated with state sponsored terror as documented by the US State Department Report on Terrorism.
One thing that has to happen after is that women have to wear normal clothes. No more of these Islamic things. I mean local clothes are fine and kind of cute but no symbol of Islam can remain as it will just get cause restimulation of what started out as the worship of a giant magnetic stone by savage nomads. ok, I really looked some more at the website, namely clicking on all the names and reading what was written. . Bunch of no names mixed in with some names for scientology, positioning in the PR World. Interesting if one can look and see and evaluate data and what is true or what is written in the website or what one knows to be true – or namely what you have observed yourself vs look don’t listen. Very PR wise the site, namely have you actually see this or is it just written. No mention of position or status of ex-members in the church, or training level or self correcting ability of the church to correct it’s members.
My conclusion. The website is posted or written for current members of the Church of Scientology as no outsider would give a hoot nor look to right a wrong.. A average person would have no reality on it all. But current members would see the faults, I guess.

1. I do not think Joel Phillips wrote that anti-Islam rant. I doubt he even knows what Islam is. He is a KoolAid drinker with oak leaf clusters and as such doesnt deem it worth his precious time to learn what any other religion may believe or practice. In fact, it is waste of time to bother with anyone or anything that isnt in the RCS bubble…
2. No way does he write everything that appears on his hatesite. He is a cutout. Plausible deniability. About as transparent as the SquirrelBlusterers “nothing to do with the Church, its just an individual Scientologist practicing his religion.” But, just like the Blusterers, he is responsbile for his actions, and those that are done in his name.

Have you EVER seen a comment critical of or even correcting the RFW site (or any of the church hatesites) posted on that site?
I would wager that if Joel Phillips decided to post here to claim that the anti-Islam rant was not authored by him it would be posted. Even then others have brought forth the facts as they know them (Mark Bunker and others) and they too have been posted though they are not critical of Phillips.
On the other hand, the day a critical comment refuting any of his “facts” is posted on Phillips’ hatesite will be exactly one day AFTER David Miscavige takes out a full page ad in the NY Times apologizing for his human rights abuses and offering to do media interviews.
Don’t hold your breath.

Now this is a test. Phillips refused to answer my communication to him two years ago about correcting a litany of false, black ops PR he has posted on me. He knows how to get hold of me. If he refutes the comments about Islam, and wants them removed – notwithstanding it being posted with the opinion of Mark Bunker that it is not him (no source noted – just Mark’s opinion) – all he has to do is communicate. Agreed. When the RFW site had a “forum” I tried various means of joining it (proxied etc.) and not a single comment was published even the most innocous saying, with suble irony, how I hated bigots. In the end the forum disappeared.
After taking time to look over and read various resources on the Internet, including here, I do not believe that Joel Phillips is a valid source of information. He and his ilk have spawn recent political attacks directed against women, all in the name of protecting “religious freedom.” He is right up there with “Focus on the Family” and others that believe that anyone whose religious (or non-religious) beliefs differ from their own are involved in some sort of conspiracy to destroy their own religious freedom and therefore must be attacked. Joel has taken one step further and has personally attacked individual people with lies and slander, all in the name of “defending” his religion. What a shameful hobby. There is evidence that his lack of values and ethics extends into his professional business life. For me, Joel Phillips represents the very worst about the Church of Scientology.

Good on standing up for yourself, man. The further truth is that it IS part of the Church of Scientology objectives, built into the philosophy, to convert and thus eliminate all other religions from Christianity to Islam to anything other than the Scientology philosophy. It’s right in KSW #1.
It’s really a moot point whether a Scientologist wrote or didn’t write the Islamic elimination post. Any truly fully trained Scientologist has listened to LRH in lecture after lecture put forth facts and his opinion that other religions are either goofy, corrupt, harmful or unworkable and that only Scientology can save the world.
With all the various supposed social programs, dissemination campaigns and application of PR tech it gets purposeful not-is treatment for strategic reasons of application. Freedom of religion in Scientology is hypocritically espoused, but thinly veiled and highly contradictory in practice, unless the pretense of acceptance of other religions can be used to its advantage to convert and make inroads into society as a whole.
My undercover Int base source told me that Miscavige’s only comment about this was, “Beatings will continue until morale improves.”

If I remember correctly Ron was either going to or from Sth Africa in that clip. That’s what I remember I was told in the Org many years ago, could be true, yes it was theta in those days.

I have seen many websites with a distinct OSA smell, either debunking their self created opponents, or doing some kind of whitewash on Co$.

There is obviously a third party at work here. Independents are pissed of at agents of the church because they are putting up derogatory sites. The people at the church are pissed off at the Independents for doing the same. Both sides claim that the other is lying about them. Neither side can figure out how to apply the third party law as there is obviously a conflict between two sides.
There is another datum from LRH which goes as follows, “By being as kind and as decent, by being as well conducted as you possibly can be, you can throw completely into a spin and wipe out a person below 2.0 on the Tone Scale. And that is the most – that statement’s made without reservations.”

You and Marty may be trained by your years of OSA to attack the attacker but this datum by L. Ron Hubbard is an approach that is much more the high ground. That would probably drive them nuts.

I knew Joel Philips’ wife, Tina, for many years. She is a very kind and decent woman. Their daughter, Brianna, was in the SO the last time I heard.
Joel is up to his ears in kool-aid and will never extract himself from it. He is incapable of doing so. The cost to him would be his entire family. He is forever going to be a sellout to the concept of Scientology – because he will not be able to engage in living free of the invisible hold that DM has on him, whether he senses the hold, or not.
Joel is out of valence. Way out. One shudders to think of what he could do in life if he realized just what he is promoting and could extricate himself from it and fly free, in valence.
In fact, the interview he did with Andreas H Lund was a big factor in getting me to look deeper at the Church and DM. Joel just got steamrolled by Lund. His arguments and his ability to make cogent defenses were almost non existent. Pathetic for someone who is supposed to be defending Scientology. He argued like he had a 6 ton elephant on his back and was trying to hide it.
Joel, you are supposed to be fighting for human rights and dignity. This requires close inspection and honest assessment. Try pointing your abilities in the direction of what Debbie Cook is saying. Don’t cover your eyes and plug your ears.
I completely understand the outrage about those hate pages and will do what is necessary to defend the so attacked. But I have a few considerations.:
1. Independent Scientologists are better than the Taliban Scientologists, we have decency, tolerance and love.
2. There is no need to copy methodes of the corporate church. We are standing up against those methods. And while the invitation is tempting we are better than that.
3. I actually used these hate pages as the last nail in the coffin for any church supporters. They speak for themselves and any decent being will know what type of character is creating those pages. I hope David Miscavige never changes the style of the current “Freedom Mag” pages. It is the true testimony about what this church has become.

Once we did, we were “let go” being told “The Sea Org can handle it”. 2 weeks later, their “Stats” crashed and we were asked to come back. All of us by then had other jobs, and weren’t willing to be treated like that, again, so no go.
As someone who is ON RFW….I can say without a doubt it is A) Filled with Flat out lies about myself and others and B) Members of Scientology including Joel Phillips who says he runs it, refuse to EVER Speak with me (and others) and learn the true facts. Google our names, listen to both sides–make up your *own* minds. 🙂 CHECKMATE~!!.
