Bad To The Bone

Excerpt from Chapter One of The Enemy Formula:

Chapter One

The Zen of Basketball

Zen:  A total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind. Zen is a way of being. It also is a state of mind. Zen involves dropping illusion and seeing things without distortion created by your own thoughts. – The Urban Dictionary

Caveat emptor (buyer, beware). I may be crazy – and this book of my recollections therefore may just be laced with delusion.

It all depends on whether you buy into the genetic theory of mental health. That is the school of thought that maintains we are simply organisms, unthinkingly carrying on the genetic, cellular commands we are born with. That is the very theory that L. Ron Hubbard eschewed in developing Scientology. Scientology is predicated upon the idea that the spirit (called thetan in Scientology) and its considerations are senior to the mind and the body, and that ultimately every one of us is capable of sanity and of becoming the captain of his own destiny – irrespective of genetic or biological make-up.

The church of Scientology has apparently done away with such core Hubbard principles.  Corporate Scientology leader David Miscavige sent my former wife to Clearwater Florida to visit reporters Tom Tobin and Joe Childs of the St. Petersburg Times (now Tampa Bay Times) in mid 2009. She came with a script to read to the reporters, one no doubt carefully crafted by Miscavige himself. It would be Corporate Scientology’s answer to an interview I had given, exposing a culture of violence created by Miscavige at the highest levels of his church.

In embarrassed, halting phrases my former wife told the reporters that I had a family history of insanity and the “church” was concerned that I had picked up the insanity gene. When the reporters attempted to make some sense of the relevance of those claims, my former wife, on cue, stood, turned and walked from the room, noting with finality, “This is not a deposition; I’m not here to answer questions.” When official Scientology spokesperson Tommy Davis was confronted with the claims I’d made about violence in the church, he shouted, with veins popping from his neck, “Marty Rathbun is a fucking lunatic. He’s psychotic!”

Miscavige came up with this brilliant public relations move based on an analysis of my church counseling folders. Those folders note, in meticulous detail, every significant event of my life, and of many prior lives as well. It is a policy of the corporate Scientologists to find bits of embarrassing confession from a former member’s past, and then allude to one of these bits publicly.  The hope is that the target will quail, for fear of any more particulars being revealed.

In order to erase any influence such attempted blackmail might otherwise have, let’s get right to the heart of Miscavige’s allusion to the matter he seems to believe is my Achilles’ heel.

Insanity runs deep in my family. My mother received multiple electro-convulsive shock therapy treatments while pregnant with me.  I found that out through Scientology counseling which probes into pre-natal, and even previous lifetime, incidents of the being.  I told my Scientology counselor that I recalled my mother being taken off to a private psychiatric facility while I resided in her womb.  When she was hit with electro-convulsive shock I, the spirit, was hurtled out of the body and witnessed the rest of the ‘treatment’ from above looking down at the psychiatrist and his assistants and my mother’s body strapped to the table.  When the violence was over, I contemplated leaving and finding another mother and another fetus to occupy.  But, my conscience struck me and I decided I would weather the storm, stick around and help the mother I had initially chosen.  When I was in my early thirties I told my aunt about these recollections and her jaw dropped.  My descriptions of the facility and the surrounds and the event were accurate in all details.  And that, in essence, is Scientology Inc.’s blackmail on me: I am a lunatic by virtue of carrying my mother’s genes, complicated and compounded by my fetal electro-shock experience…

  1. Only a madman is absolutely certain he is not crazy. And one of the few people I know that fits that description is David Miscavige. Not only not crazy, but also always right.

Your ability to look at yourself and intellectual honesty are admirable qualities that I can only hope to match.

I cannot wait to read the whole book — when will it be available Marty?

  2. Yvonne Schick

“By their fruits you will know them”. I can observe what you have produced. I have heard first hand accounts from a considerable number of people you have helped directly with counseling. I have heard from another ten times that many the benefits they have derived from your writings. I’ve had the privilege of sitting in the room while you gave all a man could to planning of strategies with no intention other than helping someone else (in fact, even to your own personal detriment).

I know you, Marty, do not need to hear this. You already know who you are. My comments are for any other readers.

Crazy, insane, mad? These are labels, used most often as gossip by those with less than pure hearts to influence the thinking of others. History is littered with men and women labeled as such often because they could think and act beyond the limits of “normal”. I only wish I could conceive and take actions bold enough to deserve being labeled crazy.

  3. Mike put it succinctly. Tommy Davis and your X proved that they were the fucking lunatics and psychotics. The insanity gene? I don’t think so. My grandmother suffered from electric shock therapy and the aftermath is what triggered my desire to help people. Really help them, not destroy them.

  4. Rory Medford

Yes Miscaviage is a MADMAN!!! & a crazy one at that!! He is such a friggin idiot!! Miscavige is the sole reason Scientology is going down the tube! He just can’t help himself, you will find him in the history books just like Hitler, Sadaam Hussein and the rest of the crazies. Go Marty go, keep exposing!!!

  5. roger weller

i look forward to reading your book,it will be quite revealing, you have great stories. congratulations on writing it. you are just as crazy as the rest of us, makes life interesting.

  6. Intelligent honesty is so powerful . The work you are doing is invaluable.

  7. Marty,
It looks like your book is going to be another one I will read cover to cover in one seating.
Is it possible that your testimony about the Co$ violating confidentiality of folders could help the case of forced abortion in CA?

  8. E.T.C is used (in the hope) to break up depression. The symptoms are in the mind, however it is an emotional or psychological illness. Not a mental illness.
Therefore an attack based on a misdiagnosis (M.U.) must be suspect.

  9. And with a single blog post this part of your past has no power for them and no liability for you. I hope you are filled with validation today for who you have become Marty. You inspire many of us.

  10. I was only last night thinking of watching the “blame” in society come full circle. When I was growing up, the psychiatrists had laid the frame work to “blame it all on your parents”. My mother’s generation blamed everything on their parents , and their parents had to raise us that were neglected because our parents were too fucked up to raise children because of them. Although we didn’t seem to suffer as a result of them.

Arriving into Scientology, it was then “the reactive” mind that was to blame for everyone’s “bad behavior” and woes.

Coming full circle, now the Church of Scientology blames the psychiatrists for all of the evil and bad behavior in the world.

The thing is, when you come into the Church and “handle” your reactive mind, people still hold you accountable for all that happened while you had that “reactive mind” for the rest of your life. As if, on some level, they actually do not believe you have ever been helped or have been changed through the therapy!

Then, yes, the CHURCH acts as your NEW reactive mind. The minute you “step out of line”, they dig through your records, just like a file clerk, and THROW UP your “past”, to control you and keep you in line. They go right into the purpose of the reactive mind and dramatize it.

Every time you are sec checked or sent to the M.A.A., you have an outside “file clerk” digging up your “past” and pushing it back down on you to control you.

    Very funky.

  11. When my friend told me in December 2009 that Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun had left the church, I was shocked. These were the “model, ethical, and effective” Sea Org members of Scientology events and promotional materials.

Yet still, I was flinching a bit, from earlier ventures onto the ‘enemies’ Internet’ (curiosity has killed this cat a few times!) which turned out bad for me in Ethics handlings (especially OSA Int-style). So when I ever-so-cautiously clicked onto the ‘enemy’ Tampa Bay Times site for the ‘pretentiously’-named “Truth Rundown,” I was looking for the ‘church’ response, so that I would know the party line and be able to better defend ‘our’ position.

But this is what I found, just as Marty stated:
”When official Scientology spokesperson Tommy Davis was confronted with the claims… he shouted, with veins popping from his neck, “Marty Rathbun is a fucking lunatic. He’s psychotic!”

Egregious violations of the PR Series! I double-checked and yes, Tommy Davis KNEW and agreed that this tirade would be part of the publicly-viewed videos. Especially at that time, I knew that he wasn’t doing anything that wasn’t being okay’ed at the very highest levels!

My first reaction: “this is not Scientology!”

I went from sincere, dedicated believer, to shocked, betrayed and disappointed, in just 5 minutes – now eagerly watching Mike and Marty on video and learning things I had no idea could possibly have been going on in the ‘religion’ “built on ARC” with its First Policy: “Maintain Friendly Relations with the Environment.”

So I’ll forever be indebted to Tommy Davis for his brilliant performance on behalf of his master and coach, David Miscavige, revealing in one bursting epiphany, the true colors of the operation they were all pretending was ‘Scientology.’

  12. Good going again Marty ~ I love the way you have made your life in to such an interesting and intriging story to present your facts to the world. Im mid The Phychopath test and I cant put it down. This study perhaps belongs in the PTS/SP pack ~ perhapes we alI could have absorbed more having more mass. Im not sure if DM would have remained but Im VERY anyone reading this book would have spotted him right off as a psychopath and handled hos power or left. Perhapes that is the good that is going to come out of DM and Scientology. Population will get hatted on psychopaths and by being recognized they will lose their power.
Thanks for the recomented reading list. Im working hard to get thru then b4 your next book.
    Cece

  13. “Everything Zen, everything Zen… I DON’T THINK SO!” Bush whackers!

  14. DM is like a little Hitler….
God will take care of him just like he did the big one 🙂

  15. Forrest Crane

I like a good read. Will this become a movie? Paul Haggis, can you make this into a movie?

  16. Wendy Munro

Miscavige and Anne Rathbun – trying to convince others of something they do not believe themselves. One of them relied on you heavily for years, and one of them married you (and probably also relied on you for years…..) Who do they think they are kidding?

“This is not a deposition, I’m not here to answer questions.” So they invoke the principles of law when it suits them, and hide behind “religiosity” when it doesn’t. How convenient. No-one forced them to make the statement – why now run from questions that undoubtedly follow? Because there is no good answer to any question that will be raised. Who do they think they are kidding?

  17. “Crazy, insane, mad? These are labels, used most often as gossip by those with less than pure hearts to influence the thinking of others. History is littered with men and women labeled as such often because they could think and act beyond the limits of “normal”. I only wish I could conceive and take actions bold enough to deserve being labeled crazy.” Well said Yvonne!

  18. Marty, If DM is using the tactic that you’re crazy due to your “genes” and the invivo shock treatments, then he is negating everything LRH wrote and spoke about. These are engrams that the reactive mind has filed away. Using simple Dianetic auditing, these engrams can be erased quite easily. And since you are Clear and above (OT actually), that says that you are no longer under any influence from these shock engrams. And Ron was big on debunking the brain is all myth, that we act according to brain imbalances or genes or anything else like that. Yes there is contagion of aberration but that is as a spirit and not from genes. And even that is easily handled using the tech.

  19. Paul Durand

Marty what you write is moving. first I feel sadness because I know how hurtful this kind of circumstances. can be. And then I am reminded of: “An enemy generally says and believes what he wishes (Thomas Jefferson)“
This brings the topic of forgiveness. I have found it very difficult to forgive, and yet whenever I was able to do it, I derived great levity, great progress from it. It does not mean that my path will cross again with the people who did these things to me. Sure not. I am clear that my path will never cross theirs in this lifetime again. The moment I was able to forgive for some of the big hurts I was carrying, felt like I grew three feet taller. A ton was lifted off my shoulders. I had not expected that. I realized that when I forgave, you changed not just my relationship to the past, but also my present, and my future. While forgiveness appeared to be a gift given to others, I realized that it was a gift to myself. IT is a contribution to one’s healing, not to others’ well-being. Forgiveness cools the stings, as someone said, and warms the heart. Forgiveness gave you back some lightness in my life. Lewis Smedes had an interesting point of view: “ To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” I’ve experienced that.

When I left the organizational side of the spiritual movement I was involved in, after a period of grief, I realized that unless unless I let go of the hurt and memories of what had been done to me. unless I forgave the situation, unless I put the situation into a “past business” folder, I not be fully able to accomplish my personal journey in this lifetime.
So reluctantly made a decision to not dwell anymore on what went wrong and to focus on what to do/where to go next with my life—not just with the circumstances of my life, but where and how I would find fulfillment.

This was not easy and it did not happen in a day. It took many months of repeating myself every day that I needed to move forward. As I did that, it reinforced each day my aspiration to see new sights in new ways, to enjoy new landscapes with new eyes, in the journey of life. Looking back, I see how slowly I have progressed, but I am glad for every step I have made away from the hurt, and in making peace with what happened. I’ll close with a great quote from Michele Obamna: “When I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don’t invest any energy in them, because I know who I am.” I wish I could feel like this all the time.:)
    Best wishes to you.

  20. The entire concept is completely unworkable as a blackmail material on planet Earth. It may or may not work as a red flag for Scientology public which is about one out of 3 million–if that. Prenatal ECT means diddly dooda to the remaining 6 billion people. Electro-convulsive therapy was and maybe still is in some places a valid medical practice taught in Medical Schools. The priests of medical religion did their Masters and PhDs on it and yoked their living by zapping the faithful with great abandon for many years. Should all those zapped and all their children be now considered insane? By the same measuring stick, insanity is living in a wrong reality, out-R.

This blackmail just doesn’t work. It only works to show once again how far off the mark DM’s and his faithfuls’ Reality has strayed. We only have A, R and C. R is out.

I could probably loosely advance here that ARC corresponds to Spirit, Mind, Body. DMs and Scientology’s Mind is in tatters. The Spirit is now Money and Communication is now Disconnection.

  21. It seems that mental health depends both on spirit and genetics.

I know that as a spirit, I can improve my mental health.

But I know also a little girl with the Rett syndrome: she cannot talk and cannot walk. That is caused by a defect in the gene MeCP2.

As the genes are determined at the time of conception, the thetan probably is not already here to cause this issue.

Or would it be possible that thetans interfere with the conception and cause genetic issues?

  22. martyrathbun09

I think your answers might lie in Bruce Lipton’s The Biology of Belief.

  23. Bbbbbbad Bbbbbbad Bbbbbbad to da bone!
    Why Yes, you are!
(a quality severely lacking in the spines of Cof$ leaders)

  24. Perfect analogy…

  25. I’ve seen through the years of being “out” that the general population do not have much of a correct idea of what real craziness/evilness/psychosis is made out of. They know they are looking at something that baffles them or that they disagree with, but at the same time they don’t know why and are confused–so they tend to not say what they know they saw–total harmful anti-social craziness. They also tend to think it’s a one-time occurrance, when in actual fact these people do it all the time and it takes a lot of mental wherewithall and confront to see this for what it is and accept that this person just keeps dishing it out–whether it be a family member, associate, lover, or someone on TV who is acting evil and criminal enough to get their 15 minutes of fame.

DON’T turn your back when you see something that is against your better judgment, or that you know darn well is illegal, or if you think by calling them out it will “hurt” the one you are observing as doing the evil. By doing so you are allowing that one evil person to go on harming or destoying even more people.

When you see someone doing something evil think back….do they do this regularly? Have I seen this before? And if you realize the answer is Yes then you are making your way through Psychotic/Evil People 101. They are there, doing what they are doing, and will only stop when called out enough times. They latch onto people who just take it and don’t fight back.

The original teachings of Hubbard nailed this phenomena (of course it has been altered in recent years by Miscavige so he does not get recognized as one of the evil-doers…) and those early works are well worth reading and studying. These works that I studied many years ago were some of the things that raised my own awareness finally to a point where I saw through the Crap of the Day from Miscavige and his Minions. Wasn’t hard to get the heck out after sifting through what it was supposed to be vs. what it was turned into by someone(s) who fit the old descriptions Hubbard wrote about decades earlier.

I suppose the first step is realizing that there really are people like this and that they are busy doing a heck of a lot more evil that what you’ve already seen. It’s tough to do for good people who just want to live their lives as happily as possible, love their families, go to work and get a paycheck and try to enjoy life. And that’s exactly what the evil-doer prays on the most.

  26. Bruce Pratt

To one “fucking lunatic” from another, I salute you. 🙂

If this is fucking lunacy, I only regret not having arrived earlier from the purported sanity of that which I left. Thanks for the flashlight (headlight, oncoming train, candle?), Marty.

Ah, it’s a good day to be a lunatic. A number of my friends have been admitted to this virtual asylum.

    Bruce

  27. Mary Rathernotsay

    Marty, you’re a good man.
Your book is going to be a great read.
You personify the ideal of redemption, in my view.
Forsaking the corrupting influences of yesterday (RCS)
and bringing us light and a great example today
    I am grateful

  28. Marty – don’t mean to derail this thread – but can you go to Tony O’s blog and explain what is going on with Luis Garcia’s lawsuit…I am totally confused. Can you do that? Thanks.

  29. Marty, I reviewed the cult’s Super Bowl ad to see if I missed something, but no. It turns out they are looking for people just like you. Not people who fit their description of you, but people who, like you, are lifted above their origins by their curiosity and zest for life.

Too bad they no longer know what to do with them when they find one.

  30. Errol Sayin

Dear Marty, I respectfully disagree. I want DM and Tommy Davis to
re-up for another billion. They do a great job of spreading mayhem
and making Scientology infamous. All the braying, scurrying and
skulking around lets the world know what a great cult they are.
And, of the 7 billion people on the planet, only about 20,000 are
really in it. That’s only one in every 350 thousand. What about
the other 349,999 that aren’t? It’s a great way for them to learn
about LRH. How are they going to learn about eternity without having
someone show them how to have your head stuck up your ass
for eternity? DM and Tommy Davis have bravely chosen that
role. And I want to commend them for it. It makes it easy for
the world to learn about LRH. Its simply Scientology without
    the cult.
Someday this train wreck is going to be over. And your going
to realize that “They also Serve.” Consider the sonnet “On
    Blindness” from John Milton

When I consider how my light is spent
Ere half my days in this dark world and wide,
And that one talent which is death to hide
Lodged with me useless, though my soul more bent
To serve therewith my Maker, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide,
“Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?”
I fondly ask. But Patience, to prevent
That murmur, soon replies: “God doth not need
Either man’s work or his own gifts: who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state
Is kingly; thousands at his bidding speed
And post o’er land and ocean without rest:
“They also serve who only stand and wait.”

Consider the Parable of the Talents:

    Parable of the Talents
The parable in Matthew 25:14-30 tells of a master who was leaving his home to travel, and before going entrusted his property to his servants (property worth 8 talents, where a talent was a large unit of money, as discussed below). One servant receives five talents, the second two talents, and the third one talent, according to their respective abilities.

Returning after a long absence, the master asks his servants for an accounting. The first two servants explain that they have each put their money to work and doubled the value of the property they were entrusted with, and so they are each rewarded:
His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
    — Matthew 25:23, World English Bible
The third servant, however, has merely hidden his talent in a hole in the ground, and is punished:
He also who had received the one talent came and said, “Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.” But his lord answered him, “You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter. You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest. Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away. Throw out the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
    — Matthew 25:24–30, World English Bible

David Miscavige and Tommy Davis are the modern versions of the third
servant. Of course DM hid real people in the hole, not just his talent.

They are a reminder to the rest of the world of what not to do. Sure, you would like for people in the CO$ to notice that all the braying, scurrying and skulking is insanity.
But “they also serve”. A good cult can be very useful
to have around; letting the world know about the non-cult part of Scientology; the Independent part. So I say, have em re-up for a billion more.

  31. Marty, as part of my doubt formula on leaving the church, one of the things that really pissed me off was that ANYONES pc folder should be invaded and his or her past be paraded for ridicule or scorn. In my eyes any assumed overt committed by that person or “fault” was instantly absolved. Its the act of a very low level being!

  32. Marty, you’ ve already said it about your mother and for one thing I acknowledge you. That you stayed with that fetus in her womb (her child) and decided to help her. Your mother is proud of you!

All the rest I think others have covered for me… We know Who is the insane… we were not born yesterday. We got a Tech and use it to find out things. Your story is corroborated by the facts of life and so many people coming out and saying what they saw, and I thank You and Them for having done that.

  33. gretchen dewire

Marty, I read Bruce Liptons book on your suggestion, thank you. It was a very uplifting experience and certainly in line with what I have intuitively thought for years, but I am no scientist. On another note, I got a call from some kind of reg last week for something, cant remember really and I told him I wasnt interested. So of course he goes into “salvage mode” So I tell him I am now an independent scientologist and he says oh I am very independent too. And I say no no I mean out of the church you know, all those scientologists who have left the church. He says “what?” And I say like Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder. And then he says oh Marty Rathbun, That does not surprise me one bit. I hung up on him. But as Sonia DaDa sings ” crazy, crazy, crazy is just another point of view”Keep up the great work

  34. The foolosophie of the PR machine of Micavology at its best.
    Poor devils.

  35. Yeah well.
What can I say? Miscavige’s bad reputation is because of YOUR DNA? Um, OK.
I am so very sorry that you were subjected to this betray of trust. All of those involved in this act have stabbed themselves in the heart, compounding their own felony. Betrayal doesn’t get much “badder” than this example.
And so, here’s another thought about “Bad to the Bone”:
…..Let Miscavige be bad – “To the bone” if he is that foolish.

You , on the other hand, have found so much enlightenment.
You know that you are a spirit, not a body or a mind and you LIVE that.
You are on the road to truth and are also helping others to find their own personal enlightenment along that road.

And so, here is another song for you, Marty:

    Teach Your Children Lyrics
    by Crosby Stills Nash Young

You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
    And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good bye.

    Teach your children well,
Their father’s hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you’ll know by.

Don’t you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

    And you, of tender years,
Can’t know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.

    (Counter Melody To Above Verse:)
“Can you hear and do you care and
Cant you see we must be free to
Teach your children what you believe in.
Make a world that we can live in.”

    Teach your parents well,
Their children’s hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you’ll know by.

Don’t you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

  36. Tom Gallagher

From one lunatic to another, thanks for all you do!

  37. Absolutely brilliant observation!

  38. I am ready to purchase your new book Marty.
As far as D.M. goes, he’s like Ariel Castro in Cleveland, he puts on a perfect
exterior outside his house, but” inside” the locked rooms is another story. Referring to the “Hole” at Int. Base.

  39. Where there is Love, there is Life.
    Gandhi

  40. People spreading others O/W’s about are seldom taken seriously. Why? Because other people’s O/W’s is not anything that is needed and wanted by anyone to better the world with 🙂 Just common sense! 🙂 Marty also makes the church look bad too, because why are they so fixated on what happened to him in his mother’s womb? Is it really any of their business? Why do they think that breaking trust with people whom other people get along with, is going to help their religion? There is so much wrong with the Church of Scientology there is not enough room on this blog to mention it to anyone. 🙂

  41. Your “P.C. folders” are full of “reactive mind content” the Church RECORDS, keeps in storage, and throws back at you when it decides you shouldn’t keep your gains.

It holds a record of your reactive mind and then tries to USE it against you for control. Yes they will mock up and use your former reactive against you! They HOLD ONTO the reactive content you have LET GO OF and hoard it!

Then they try to use it to control you. They really don’t LET you walk away from that content! As you sit and itsa, the auditor makes notes and stores it! These “files” act as the Church’s file clerk! Whenever they get threatened or keyed in, they lean on YOUR reactive mind content and throw it up there at you! I am telling you they have become an organized reactive mind with held down 7’s!

The Church keeps records of all painful incidents! It is right there in their folder storage P.C. folders, ethics folders. justice cycles, legal flaps…. they keep reams and reams and reams of records and of EVERY painful incident experienced in that Church!

If you caused a scene there and walk back in the front door ten years later, they will DIG through their files and RETURN right to the painful incident and TAKE IT UP AGAIN! Look what happened when Mike Rinder showed up at the front door of the F.H..

They relied on their “records of painful past incidents” to RESPOND to him! (By blocking the door and calling the police) A little OVER REACTIVE but you get the point?

WE are DEALING with a reactive mind when we are dealing with the C of S!

  42. Very few people believe anything the church says anymore, except, of course, those still trapped in the ever-shrinking bubble.

Scn PR is so bad right now, I’d say most people think, “Well, if Scientology said it, it’s probably a lie.”

  43. David, Please do go through MY counseling folders and read the stories and notes scribbled by auditors. I am sure they wrote with great interest, as they they told their story of their time with me. I hope you find the authors interesting. Please do bring them to court is you choose to publish their notes and stories as FACTS about MY life. Please ensure you have not violated any copyrights by publishing their manuscripts as well. Please bring the authors of the stories, their emeters they used for verification as to the accuracy, doctors statements as to their eyesight and mental condition currently. Also how many P.C.’s they have audited over the years and how many hours and why they will be able to recall talking to me in those sessions, and explain the stories they wrote and how they were living at the time they wrote the manuscripts.

    Re: P.C. Folders.

    1. The content of P.C. folders are auditors notes. For the Church to assert that any part of what is in a P.C.’s folder is valid or true, the auditor that wrote the notes must be available to testify. The auditor is considered source on these notes, not the P.C..

Or, if the P.C. is complaining, the P.C. is considered a valid source. If you have the P.C. and not the auditor available to testify as to the validity or accuracy of the auditors notes, the P.C.’s testimony will stand. Not the auditor that took the notes.

    2. According to Church scripture, “Dub In” is imaginary fantasy. If the Church also publishes content as fact, the burden is on them to prove it is not “dub in”.

    3. As far as hand written documents in the P.C.’s writing, emotional condition and circumstances are taken into consideration as to the validity or force of such documents. Also whether according to Church doctrine the person writing was dubbing in or not, according to “tone level” and how that aligns with the Church’s OWN scripture as to “handling of the truth” as laid out on SOS. The Church must provide evidence the P.C.’s tone was above 2.0 for their own members to regard any written documents by the P.C. as truth.

In other words, auditors are the authors of the P.C. folders, NOT the P.C..

For the Church to publish any part as fact falls back on the Church as the auditor worked under supervision and training by the Church. Your P.C. folders are a book of auditor notes authored by someone else and held by the Church to the extent the Church believes the auditor was employed by them so it is their property.

They have taken ENORMOUS liberties publishing notes made by auditors as truth, or publishing members who were under stress or forced to write anything, as truth.

There is NO emotional blackmail the Church really has with your P.C. folders. These are records kept by employees and the source is the AUTHOR of any notes. People under emotional stress ordered or forced to write memos, such as you may find in ethics folders, those documents are considered invalid the same way a contract signed duress is invalid.

For David or anyone in the Church to go through notes kept by some author and publish these as history or fact is blatant reckless handling of the truth.

Let’s start insisting the Church provides the auditors who wrote the notes inside the courtroom. It is their observations and notations.

The Church breaks the law that protects priest-penitent confessions any time an auditor writes a K.R. about something that came up in a session and forwards it through comm lines to the M.A.A. and it sits in his in basket! Just SENDING that to another person is a breach of trust! The folders go to the C/S instantly after a session!

Secretly videotaping is a real breach of priest-penitent trust. I think there are quite a few witness’ that can talk about that.

If it is all about “priest-penitent trust”, as you claim in your most recent FALSE REPORT entered into the court records, WHY are there video cameras in all of the auditing rooms now?

  44. Pardon me, English is my 2nd language. What does this post mean? Did you mean that everything is not Zen? Why is I DON’T THINK SO in quotation marks? Who whacks Bush and is that legal?

  45. Marty,

I know you as my auditor and friend, and a friend of the one who introduced us and one of my best friends-Carol.

I’d like to preface what I have to say with- I am not well trained, although I’ve been a Scientologist since 1977. However, I consider I have a lot of knowingness, as I’ve been in this or a venue very much like this before.

So, please allow me a moment to expound upon my experience with you: First off you scared the shit out of me (I haven’t told you this before, (w/h)), as I was about to meet “numbero # 2” in the CoS organization. But, within minutes of sitting across from you I sensed your ability to size me & the situation up, and although I wasn’t totally comfortable I knew I would be in good hands.

Most of what I remember is, you granted so much beingness, to the point I wasn’t aware of you being there. It was nothing short of perfect TR’s & total duplication, allowing me to “see or whatever perceptic it was that “as-ised” the question”.

In my 34 years of Scn. this was the best auditing I’ve had!

In my curiosity I also googled your name and saw what you’ve stated here about your mother and EST and as well as what Miscaviage said about you. And, it only made me more compassionate for us “homo sapiens”, and validated why we are searching for a higher state of being. Moreover, it made me think of my days in student nursing, where the Psych ward was a mandated part of training, when I was told to assist a patient being given EST. It made me both physically & spiritually sick-and I vowed to never allow that to happen again in my presence. The irony is this procedure was performed by a Dr Tom Harris, who wrote the book “I’m OK, Your OK”, and who later committed suicide!

So, we all have a past, some more horrific than others, but we now have the tech and people like you to lead us to the truth!

    And, I commend you.

I look forward to your new book and more enlightenment!!!

With much admiration, Midge (pre-OT, not for long!)!!!

  46. Hey man, what do you do when it is finally and irrevocably confirmed that your former fellows don’t believe their own bullshit???

Call to the bartender! Look man…

  47. And what about when financial data is taken from the P.C. folder by the C/S, and the C/S bolts to the registrars office with it and announces it to a room full of registrars?

What about using a session to obtain financial information which is then passed onto the entire registrar division? Oh yes! Yes, it happens more than you would care to know. Like a former drug dealer that ripped off the BIG drug dealers and stashed the cash?

That guy was out of session all of fifteen minutes at the F.S.O. before EVERYONE in the registrar division knew about it! How ELSE could I know his name and address unless I was there and overheard this? How could I possibly know? It was P.C. folder data!

Let’s talk about that use of “counseling” and information to enrich the I.A.S..

How many people out here, have been prodded in a session as to financial disclosures?

What about the woman who confessed she had 40 grand in a coffee jar she had embezzled over the years from her husband’s wallet?

How many people here were prodded about financial disclosures / “with holds” by an auditor? How many times has the Church used “counseling” to obtain financial data from people which was forwarded right away to the “registrars”?

    You would be surprised!

  48. Good idea Forrest !

  49. Right On, Jane Doe! on both of your thoughtful comments!

  50. Luis Garcia

I look forward to reading your new books. I find your writing very enlightening.

  51. hahaha, SKM…. the foolosophie….. hahaha. Miscavige has made it to bring down a whole philosophie to the level of… foolosophie. That now is a term that describes that circus.

  52. Regular Dog

    Perfect description Oracle…

  53. Regular Dog

    Marty,
I look forward to your new book.
And as for Miscavige taking the private priest-penitent protected information and publishing it….well, he just proves again that he is not a Scientologist and cares nothing for the subject or LRH Hubbard.

  54. What’s really striking about this excerpt to me – and indeed the prior two books for that matter, is that clearly they come from a pen held by a man who is at peace with himself. “This is the way it is as I see it, this is who I am, this is what happened; …” No assertiveness or make-self-right. Compare and contrast the frothing, babbling ranting of CofS mouthpieces and the Toxic Tosser himself, who is not only at war with himself and everyone around him, but gives every impression of wanting that same condition thrust upon everybody else. The laughable contradiction of concluding Marty (and therefore everybody by extrapolation) is a only a body by virtue of effects on his Mother’s body is – well, laughable. Can’t wait for the finished book.

  55. I don’t think such a betrayal of trust, to (mis-) use data from the parishioner’s “confidential” folders, can happen without backfiring on the persons doing such, no matter the circumstances and justifications.
As far as I can see, this behavior is seen with disgust by the general public and gives the “Church” a very bad reputation, not the (ex-) parishioner who is so betrayed. And for the members who are somehow seeing it, it unwittingly will lead to the question if their “confidential” folder data is or will also be compromised.
That for confidentiality of priest–penitent data!

I am looking forward to read your book.

  56. Reminds of a quote from John Woodward Philip who, while commanding the battleship Texas, participated in the Battle of Santiago de Cuba, in which the Spanish Fleet was destroyed off Santiago de Cuba. During the battle, upon watching the burning of the Spanish cruiser Vizcaya, he famously told his men “Don’t cheer, boys. The poor devils are dying.”

  57. MIdge wrote, The irony is this procedure was performed by a Dr Tom Harris, who wrote the book “I’m OK, Your OK”, and who later committed suicide! Wrong..that was a rumor reported as early as 15 years BEFORE his death. He died at age 85..no suicide.

  58. Marty,
I found your recollections a triumph of the spirit. Yours is an incredible story of Theta overcoming MEST, it is just beautiful!

To me, that is what Scientology is all about, it has no other purpose, and it is of no use to anybody, other than to bring the spirit back to witnessing life and to emerge triumphantly once again.

What David Miscavige and his Church’ of Scientology minions have done is a tremendous betrayal, a complete travesty of the best of what this philosophy can do, and frankly, it is nothing short of a very ugly BLACK OPERATION.

Marty, you have my respect and deepest admiration for what you have gone through and what you are doing now.

    Peace.

  59. Nice post Marty. Impossible to blackmail anybody when they are willing to admit anything about themselves. But isn’t it amazing how stupid Miscavige is with his attacks on you in particular, based on a premise that defies the very workability of the product he is selling. I thought we were all supposed to be able to “run-out” traumatic experiences. I guess Miscavige doesn’t really believe that. Can you imagine how ignorant, dull-minded, and cowed must be those people who still cheer that clown at International Events?

  60. Good call Scott. One of my favs!

  61. Thanks!

According to your story, the thetan “picked up the body” in the womb.

That would be aligned with the auditing of prenatal incidents in book one.

But later Hubbard stated that prenatal incidents were run in fact on the genetic entity, not on the thetan, and that the thetan picks up the baby body a few minutes after birth.

Modern science tends to validate the hypothesis of a conscious life in the womb: I have seen pictures and even films where the fetus is smiling or yawning.

I just checked the Buddhism viewpoint: according to the Garbhāvakrāntisūtra, the spirit must be present at the time of intercourse, and picks up the body at the time of conception.

I knew a scientologist woman who aborted with no qualms as, following Hubbard, she considered that the fetus was not yet inhabited by a thetan and was just an unconscious piece of meat.

If the fetus is already inhabited by a conscious entity, as your own story and medical imagery tend to indicate it, then abortion would be a crime, like killing a baby.

I am not a fundamentalist Christian; I am just trying to understand.

  62. it all depends on how much of the “hardware” is damaged.
You, as a spirit, can be completely intact, but when your body lacks both hands you will have a hard time trying to use them.
The brain is a part of a body and the center of the entire nerve system of the organism. If it is damaged too much, the thetan can’t use the vessel any longer.
That’s why “Chief” decided to free Randle in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. He considered him, and rightly so, a full capable being in a useless vessel.

It is also not true that LRH dismissed the concept of genetic inheritance completely. In “Science of Survival” he said:
“The seventh type [of abberation] would be aberration due to missing or malformed portions of the human structure, either through genetic inheritance or through accident of psycho-surgery.

However in Marty’s case it is just ridiculous. Using PC folders to invalidate someone who dedicated his life to serve in the sea org, to help others, who trained his way up to a level where he would be auditing the top celebrities of Scientology, who himself went the bridge up way above Clear…. Jeeezzz..
    It’s just toxic.
Nothing is more disgusting to me than hearing that the church uses pc folders and ethics folders as a means to introvert. This company has nothing to do with religion anymore. barf

  63. I look forward to your book Marty. And I think Mike Rinder should write a book too. We need to just keep putting truth out there no matter the smarmy pay offs and intimidation DM uses to make it go away.

  64. The “blame it on your parents” is psychiatric philosophy.

The fact the David Miscavige is PUSHING that on MARTY just goes to show how indoctrinated and in agreement David is himself, with psychiatric teachings.

  65. Actually Rory, I believe you will not find him at all. He will be forgotten like he never existed, as he deserves.

  66. one of those who see

Dearest Marty, Thank you for setting such a great example of Courage and Confront. You wrote: “In embarrassed, halting phrases my former wife told the reporters that I had a family history of insanity and the “church” was concerned that I had picked up the insanity gene.” The amount of harm she has done to her self by this action is horrific. Luckily for her there is real Scientology to help her dig herself out when she is ready.
Miscavige and friends continue to violate and invalidate the tech and policy they are promoting. What they write about upstats such as Marty, Steve, Paul Haggis, Mike Rinder, Anderson Cooper etc.. – THAT is what looks like lunacy to the public. And the public is correct. It is lunacy.
Either we have the tech to free thetans or we don’t. I think we do. We all have been through the most incredible sh*t on the track. All of us – and we can all be free of it’s effects by way of Dianetics and Scientology. Thank you Marty for the Sanity you bring to all of us everyday.
By using info in PC folders and Ethics Folders Miscavige has put the final nail in the coffin that was the Church. The trust is gone and without that, all he has is empty buildings.

  67. Paul Durand

The question of the influence of heredity on a person’s psyche is very interesting.

On one side, there are studies that say that nearly all psychological traits or tendencies that can be reliably measured turn out to have heritabilities ranging from about 25 to 75 per cent. This is not that muchL this leaves a 25% to 75% possibility that the person will not inherit certain traits.
The traits measured in scientific studies include for example IQ, extroversion, neurotic tendency, musical talent, creativity, scientific and other interests, even for religiousness, authoritarianism, and ability for happiness. For example, well-validated measures of right-wing authoritarianism produce correlations of about .60 in twins. And self-report measures of happiness or subjective well-being show a heritability factor approaching 50%. That’s a lot but that’s only 50%.

Now… to something even more interesting. The hereditary factor in the hereditability of “Genius”. Human genius has always been a problem for hereditarians to understand. There have been a few families of genius, like the Bernoullis, Bachs, Darwins and the Huxleys, or the musical Marsalis family.
But the solitary genius, rising in many ordinary families challenge all scientific predictions.
Gauss, ranked with Archimedes and Newton as one of the ´princes of mathematics,’ had illiterate parents, he taught himself to read and do simple arithmetic by are three. When Gauss was 10, he could compute the sum of the integers from 1 to 100 in a few seconds.
The great Hindu mathematician, Srinivasa Ramanujan was reared in a one-room adobe hut in southern India and his mathematical education consisted just of two books. In 1913, he wrote from Madras to the Prof. G.H. Hardy at Cambridge, asking his opinion of some 120 theorems which he enclosed. Shakespeare] came from undistinguished parents, and none of his siblings distinguished himself. Benjamin Franklin, came from a large family and had two children. None of them had any achievements in their life. One of the luminaries of 20th Century science, John von Neumann, was capable of such extraordinary intellectual feats that some of his academic colleagues suggested that his brain had different order of complexity than those of ordinary mortals. No one in his family even graduated from an institution of higher education.
The genius of all these people never manifested elsewhere in their lineage.
So, for people whose’ ancestors are nutty, things dont’ look as bad as one may thing… from what research says only 25% to 50% of nuttiness gets transmitted, and –bonus– genius apparently strikes like lightning: without correlation to heredity!

  68. Transporter

Hi Marty…GREAT post! It reminds me of the 1990 Dudley Moore movie “Crazy People.” The main character is put into a mental hospital because he supposedly had a nervous breakdown. But…the crazy people help him stabilize and they all start doing advertizing campaigns and have great success. The rulers of the institution go beserk with their success and try to quash it. They become even more successful. Gee…that sounds familiar!!!

  69. Ol’ George is playing down here at the Doheny Blues Festival next week!

  70. David Miscavige is one of the more stellar examples of people with “total freedom” and ZERO KRC. This is the DM Basic Wellness Formula:
ZERO KRC + O\W’s = ARC. DM Should write a book and call it “I Did It My Way”. 🙂

  71. In 07′ I received my first DVD of A SC event from the church (I had been away from the church for five years by this time) I couldn’t wait to watch it so within minutes of unwrapping it it was playing. This was the infamous event about how LRH’s basic books had gotten all screwed up and how DM had come to the rescue and fixed it all. Well, I found the event weird as hell but there was one very profound moment that brought me into a moment of recognition of what I had been suspecting for years yet had been denying most efficaciously. The profundity came from DM. He said, as he was referring to a person responsible for gross errors in a particular book (paraphrasing here), this guy came from the wrong end of the gene pool. And the audience laughed large. I instantly thought “WTF!” What is the head of the church doing talking like that? Who is he talking to? Certainly not scientologists. And why such a howl of laughter from the audience? Anyway, like I said, this was a profound moment for me. It verified for me that, indeed, the CoS had gone off the rails. However, for another two years, until I watched Marty and others on ABC’s Nightline, I continued deny, but not nearly so efficaciously, what I knew to be true.

  72. Joe Pendleton

And there you have it folks – the most vindictive and mean “church” on Earth. No entity on the planet invalidates Scientology more than the “church” of Scientology.

Take people who spent decades in the “church” working their asses off and reaching the highest levels of both sides of the grade chart ….. and then call them crazy and suppressive (go read your “clear” section of DMSMH again – a clear is supposed to be rational and ethical – that’s the claim Ron makes).

This has been going on since the 60s.

The truth is that Marty was too sane for the “church.”

  73. Paul, I very much appreciate your comments regarding forgiveness. Although, I must say, that until recently I was more than a little antipathetic to the concept of forgiveness. But, what I came to recognize was that the concept of ‘forgiveness’ that I was simultaneously holding onto and rejecting, was ego based. Ego based forgiveness is not about letting go, instead, it’s about validating an illusion (making it real). In other words, forgiveness as used by the ego, requires that I acknowledge that something wrong had occurred and that by ‘forgiving’ it I would elevate myself (I would take the power position) above that which I was forgiving. And while I do get some personal peace and relief in forgiving in this way, I am perpetuating the illusion of there being a right and wrong. The ‘wrongness’, even though I had forgiven it, still existed in time, albeit, in the seeming past.

In studying A Course in Miracles I have learned a different way to forgive. A way that is not based in the ego but comes directly from the Spirit (source of all illusion including the ego), which I truly am. A way to forgive that actually removes the seemingly ‘real’ incident from the illusion. By the way, the ‘miracle’ in A Course in Miracles, is forgiveness.

Paul, this is how I now forgive…I apply it to any grievance regardless of what arbitrary significance and order of magnitude I have chosen to assign to it. Looking at the grievance, whatever it may be, I address it in silence and communicate:

You’re not really there. If I think you are guilty or the cause of the problem, and if I made you up, then the imagined guilt and fear must be in me, since the separation from Spirit never occurred, I forgive “both” of us for what we haven’t really done. Now there is only innocence and I am Spirit in peace.

As you can see Paul, in this method of forgiveness, I don’t validate the illusion. I don’t validate the perceived grievance nor do I validate that a separation from Spirit i.e., me being a body in a physical universe, ever occurred. I acknowledge that I am source of the seeming grievance I believe I perceive and by forgiving “both” of us for what was never really done, I acknowledge the illusion is not real. Finally, I state the truth…there is only innocence and I am Spirit in peace.

Forgiveness, originating from Spirit is so simple yet so powerful.

  74. Perfect families don’t exist. And if they did, they’d be boring. Becoming human and living a human life is an adventure, to say the least. Marty, you understand that well. Keep rockin’ in the free world.

  75. With all due respect to Patsy Cline…

    Crazy…
Davey says my genes are crazy
    But maybe,
I’m “crazy” for showing his crimes.
I knew he’d dig through my auditing folders,
And then publish things that he thought would fool you

    Worried…
    Little McDavey is worried
    Knowing,
That I have more dirt on him too!

    He’s crazy,
For thinking his antics will stop me
    He’s crazy for spying
    And crazy for prying
And he’s crazy for trying to fool you.

  76. Wow, I have never seen that video, but that is very telling.

  77. Applause! We are all a little bit, or even more, “crazy”. So what? The “Sea Org” as a family, isn’t exactly wrapped too tight either.

  78. Excellent observation O.

  79. The women at the Int base are actually married to David Miscavige. They might not be sharing the same bed but he is top of the list on who to “honor and obey”. When did you ever see a baby shower at the Int base? The news of a new life coming into the world is a major flap where staff members intervene between husband and wife! That is “sane”? At least our parents were capable of dissemination.

Do you know that Sea Org staff qualify as “special needs” people?

“Special needs” are commonly defined by what a person can’t do — by milestones unmet, foods banned, activities avoided, experiences denied. These minuses hit families hard, and may make “special needs” seem like a tragic designation. Some parents will always mourn their child’s lost potential, and many conditions become more troubling with time.

  80. What kind of learning disabilities does David Miscavige have when he slaps his own p.c.? When having read Dianetics, he comes out thinking structures monitor function? (The buildings will boom attendance) Who at the Int base can follow policy? Use policy? Apparently they can’t put together an Org board. The one who did, got buried in a vault somewhere as a weirdo (Shelly Miscavige).

They can not plan for uncertain futures that do not involve a morning muster. They can not adjust to new routines. They have self esteem issues and can not care for themselves out in the world.

When you are 50 years old and standing in line to be counted at 8:30 a.m. “muster” in a Halloween costume 365 days a year waiting for someone to cook your breakfast, you have serious developmental issues, I am sorry.

  81. “Special needs” legally defined :

Needing specialized services ,supports or monitoring.

Needing special education services. (If the RPF isn’t a “special education” I don’t know what is.

ƒ Has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities such as caring for oneself, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, and working. Has a record of such an impairment, or
ƒ Is regarded as having such an impairment.

The educational requirements of pupils or students suffering from any of a wide range of physical disabilities, medical conditions, intellectual difficulties, or emotional problems, including deafness, blindness, dyslexia, learning difficulties, and behavioural problems.

    ————————————–

Now, you tell me who of those staff at the Int Base can care for them self? They are DEPENDENTS for food, education, clothes, daily instructions on how to live their life.

They have problems speaking (not allowed). Hearing, (they have to write a K.R. on that) Working (Can only go by orders) Learning (Can’t see an S.P. even when he is slapping them in the mouth) Walking (needs two escorts to be on the street or special tunnels to travel through) .

The women cannot be trusted with a pregnancy. Given housing all over the place and billions of dollars they house people together in trailers. They can not use ethics conditions to remedy situations they can only isolate perceived hostiles.

Now, there is also a definition for “Special Master”.

“In law, a special master is an authority appointed by a judge to make sure that judicial orders are actually followed.

A court-appointed monitor is a type of Special master.
Cases involving special masters often involve situations where it has been shown that governmental entities are violating civil rights. High-profile cases in recent years where special masters have been utilized include some in which states have been ordered to upgrade their prison facilities, which were held to violate the constitutional provision barring cruel and unusual punishment; and state mental hospitals, which have been found so substandard as to violate the rights of their inmates. ”

So, what you have at the Int Base is a Special Master dominating people with Special Needs.

  82. David has had them all sterilized. As I understand it there has not been a marriage at the Int Base allowed in over ten years.

  83. Just Me: perfect families would not only be boring, they wouldn’t be human 🙂

Marty is demonstrably human – he has suffered but never defeated or lazy – and what I admire most is when you trust him, he never betrays that trust – regardless whether a seeming “fall from grace,” a change in external circumstances … whatever …

He isn’t locked into a “now I’m supposed to” or the viccitudes of ego …

I’m not assigning him sainthood (yet) but he is definitely on my short list 🙂

    Love,
    Christine

  84. “The wrong end of the gene pool”? A concept straight out of the mouths of the very best Nazi Eugenicists!

  85. It is like to compare the driver with his car he is driving. Oh he is driving Opel. Thus he must be kind of….
By the way I had an Opel. 17 years and 480.000 kilometers. No rust, nothing to replace for years.
But everybody knows that Opel is low qualitiy.
Actually I forgot most of the stuff I told my auditor. Hope that nothing is in there that could be used against me. Hope for them if they would try.

  86. Yes, what she said. What an apt illustration of the scene.

  87. The true story is becoming widely known and understood: the current Corporate Church of Scientology, highjacked by DM, is all about sucking parishioners’ hard earned money and destroying their desire to create and help. Its activities, as directed by DM and his henchmen, are opposite to the intentions of L. Ron Hubbard. Look and observe and you will know this.

    “Welcome to planet Earth.” Indeed.

  88. Yeah some thetans are of the kind that can be electric shocked. The current passes through to the inside of their universes, and causes theta bonging.

So much for the anti-psychiatry IAS…

  89. I must say I was shocked by the practises of th IAS, wink wink notch notch, know what I mean

  90. OK, I need to grok the concept of a ‘theta bong’……..

  91. martyrathbun09

I went. Seems Tony has explained it better than I can.

  92. Paul, you might appreciate the Course in Miracle lesson that I’m doing today. It’s lesson # 134 and it’s all about forgiveness. I mentioned that I was once antipathetic to the concept of forgiveness. Interestingly, this lesson describes why that was. Here’s the link: http://acim.org/Lessons/lesson.html?lesson=134

  93. Yes, it was quite something 😉 😉 It was a sign I was in the wrong game, but I was also too ‘reasonable’ to listen to myself.

  94. It was almost random, but nice mock up 😛

  95. Om my I forgot my manners, Nice to meet you Spyros, The guilt game that was

  96. I think this video reflects society’s current attitude just about towards the Church of Scientology. I have only met one person in the last 20 years in public that was not a member of the church and spoke “highly of them”. But he is drunk on alcohol twice a week and stoned on drugs 4 times a month so what to expect?

  97. Wisdom comes with time for most of us, a few are born with it

  98. You’re no more insane than I am, Marty. 😉
