OT VIII – Hallucinatory Cause?

Here is a reality check on where the Scientology Bridge leads, at least within corporate Scientology.   The following is a published ‘success story’ of a recently minted OT VIII.   With all you have read on Super Power and the Super Power building on this blog – use the search feature in the right hand column if you haven’t read much – please consider just how hard this OT VIII is working on creating delusory reality after expending God knows how many years and how much money attaining the supposed state of not having to continually do such.  Really take some time to think about this.

Don’t get me wrong, I feel for the guy.  But, look at what’s what here.  He’s apparently been listing incessantly why, after completing the highest pinnacle of the Scientology Bridge, he caved to ruthless regging not only for more rundowns (Super Power) but no doubt status-raising donations for completing the grounded space ship that is going to take the planet by storm (the $200 million plus Super Power building).

If it is even possible that a person could spend decades and hundreds of thousands to achieve the state of ’cause over matter, energy, space, time and life’ and wind up in such a delusory, perhaps even hallucinatory, state don’t you think it might behoove you to take a little time to evaluate this path against some standards not instilled along that path?

SUCCESS

Dear Theta Buddies,

While trying to wrap my wits around a particular item  on the BC Level F checksheet, I decided this was a good time to see Rebecca, the word clearer. In the process of sorting out my confusion, I was reading a couple  of the pages from the transcript for the lecture I was listening to, and lo and  behold… I had a HUGE cognition on how Super Power was going to work!

This particular lecture is called “Routine 3A.” It was a modification to
the existing Clearing Procedure, Routine 3. But this theory behind this “little”
modification was the reason why thetans hold onto aberrations for eons:
counter-intentions; counter postulates. In other words, problems, created by
oneself, or other intentions agreed to by the thetan. What does this have to do
with Super Power? LRH had lectured in the mid 50s about how he didn’t really
know why it worked, but when a person who was having trouble with his spouse,
received problems processes auditing on the spouse, the spouse ceased to be
trouble. The EP of the modern day Suppressed Person rundown is that the terminal  antagonistic to the PC originates a friendly communication to the PC! The reason  for this is that when you have two terminals (or even the PC himself with a postulate/counter-postulate) with equal force holding a problem in place, when one side of the problem is unbalanced through auditing, there’s nothing (or much less) force to keep the problem in suspension. This results in the terminal(s) on the other end of the problem feeling compelled to communicate to the PC.
All of a sudden, I got how Super Power was going to work its magic for World
Clearing. Many of the rundowns on Super Power address third dynamic areas:
Ethics, Justice, Consequences, etc. Based on the above, I see how when one does
Super Power, he removes his side of the problem. The result should be, that “the
government” in the form of the individuals holding posts in it, will originate
to those who have completed the rundowns, asking for help! And this is how I see Super Power as “auditing the government”! Our solutions, with our National
Affairs Office right down the street from the White House, will replace the
false solutions the government has been using, with true solutions. Truth
as-ises lies. Entheta becomes theta.

The missing step has always been,  getting the government (PC) interested in its own case (the problems of the representatives themselves and the nation as a whole) and willing to talk to the auditor (Scientologists with the true solutions). Super Power IS that step!

Needless to say, I got WAY MORE from that word clearing cycle than
I expected!

I highly recommend you stop by ASHO (or any Qual Library  with a full set of BC tapes) and pull the binder numbered Lectures 77 – 88.  Pages 64-65 of the transcript is where LRH covers this piece of  technology.

The above also explains why ANY auditing, especially the NOTs  band, results in unbalancing the problem of theta vs entheta which has been going on for eons. Maybe that’s why LRH said it’s the faintest chance this universe has…

Billion Dollar Babies – Cruise and Miscavige

While I was going through my decompression from Scientology Inc. my wife and I watched Paul Haggis‘ Oscar-winning film Million Dollar Baby.   The movie prompted me to have the first in-depth discussion on the subject of Scientology that I had had since leaving the cult.   I pointed out to Monique Haggis’  wonderful depiction of a number of elements of L. Ron Hubbard’s seminal work, The Code of Honor.

I was to later learn that David Miscavige and his deputy Tom Cruise had quite an opposite reaction to Haggis’ award-winning work.

Movie guys Tom and Dave on a date

I covered it in The Scientology Reformation: What Every Scientologist Should Know, as follows:

At first, Wilhere acted as if this surprise encounter and Tom’s immediate cottoning to Nazanin (Boniadi) would take priority over the “secret mission” for which she’d been selected. But after Nazanin lived with Cruise for a couple of weeks, the heights of Miscavige’s conceit apparently made him forget to inform Nazanin that the “secret project” had been cancelled. Nazanin began to suspect her encounter with Cruise was set up from the beginning.  She was so overwhelmed, though, by the affections of the number-one movie star in the world and the number-two Scientologist in the world, that she was afraid to create an upset. Her trepidation was exacerbated by the fact that she was constantly being coached by Tommy Davis and his then-wife Nadine, as well as Tommy’s future wife Jessica Feshbach, on how to act around Cruise. They were clearly working for the boss, David Miscavige, and the coaching was constantly reinforced with implications that her pleasing Tom Cruise was the most important thing in the world of Scientology.

Ultimately, Cruise’s own behavior became so erratic that Nazanin had difficultly continuing to play the obedient wife-to-be.

One evening, while Miscavige and his wife Shelly were visiting Tom’s home in Telluride, Colorado, they watched a private screening of the Paul Haggis written, Oscar-winning movie Million Dollar Baby. David Miscavige proclaimed extreme distaste for the movie, saying the content indicated that Paul Haggis, a Scientologist at the time, was a depraved person.

“Yeah,” Tom piled on, “what is up with Haggis? Is he back on board?”

Miscavige asserted, “No, that film was so low-toned and completely psych-oriented.”

“Yeah,” Tom double-piled on, “he needs to get his ethics in.”

Tom and Dave apparently prefer billion dollar babies to million dollar babies:

Chapter Eight

The Gates of Hell

Hell has three gates: lust, anger and greed.

                                – The Baghavad Gita

Some still caught in the throes of denial may be saying to themselves, “But still, to compare Miscavige to Pope Leo X? After all, Miscavige isn’t having naked little boys jump out of his birthday cake!”

If you harbored such a thought, you would be correct on one score. We have no reports of naked little boys jumping out of birthday cakes for David Miscavige. But, fact being sometimes far stranger than fiction, we have reports of far more degraded, cruel and outlandish depredations, regularly practiced by Miscavige on Scientology parishioners’ dimes and dollars.

Around 2002, already a narcissistic personality, David Miscavige went beyond the point of no return. After I had spent more than two years recovering Tom Cruise to the Scientology Bridge, auditing him for dozens of hours, indoctrinating his children to choose him over their mother (his former wife), auditing and guiding him through the entirety of OT V, OT VI, and onto OT VII (three of the highest levels of Scientology spiritual advancement), Miscavige became impatient. He wanted Tom’s affections and would stop at nothing to receive them.

Miscavige forbade me from letting Tom get on with his life as a free Scientologist.   Until such time as Tom “connected back up” with David Miscavige as a personal, cloying friend, I would be assigned to Tom Cruise full time. I was prohibited from telling Tom to call Dave; Tom had to come to the realization on his own that Dave deserved his gratitude and close friendship. Many of my after-session encounters with Tom ended up with this type of colloquy, with me attempting to steer him toward Miscavige:

Tom would say, “God Marty, thanks, you saved my life.”

“Don’t thank me. Thank Dave. He was the one that put me onto this full time. For me, auditing is fun. He is the one that has to handle all the rough parts of my post while I’m here with you.”

“Yeah, I’m gonna have to call him one day.”

After many such conversations, Cruise finally asked me for Dave’s number. He called Miscavige and was invited to the 500-acre Scientology headquarters near Hemet, California. The entire several-hundred-person headquarters crew was called into action to prepare. Every square inch of the property, inside and out, was cleaned, spic and span, to military white-glove standards. Exotic foods were flown in from around the country to satisfy the five-star, around-the-clock service Tom would receive, all compliments of Dave.

Cruise became a regular visitor, put up in the special multi-million-dollar L. Ron Hubbard guest house.  Miscavige lavished Cruise with praise, gifts and slave-labor services of every imaginable kind, all clearly compliments of Dave. Miscavige began regularly visiting the Cruise home in Beverly Hills. While there, noticing upgrades that could be made, Miscavige dispatched slave-wage Sea Org craftsmen to execute modifications to Tom’s home, all designed to bedazzle him. Tom’s personal bus was upgraded, as was his personal SUV.

Miscavige plied Cruise with bizarre, but apparently believable (at least to Cruise), world-views, allegedly supported by his hidden, insider, unwritten knowledge of L. Ron Hubbard. Miscavige convinced Cruise that he and Tom were two of only a handful of truly “big beings” on the planet.  He instructed Cruise that LRH was relying upon them to unite with the few others of their ilk on earth to make it on to “Target Two” – some unspecified galactic locale where they would meet up with Hubbard in the afterlife. Miscavige cleverly tailored the myths to parallel Tom’s ego, which already had him half believing he really was the superhero he portrayed in the movies and in his public life. Miscavige informed Cruise that Hubbard considered most of the inhabitants of Earth to be “degraded beings.” He created an inside-secrets-of-the-universe world for Tom, which was sort of an Ayn-Rand-on-steroids, social-Darwinism construct of the few lonely, strong beings, held down by the pathetic weaklings who were crippled by such degraded notions as compassion and sympathy.  Degraded beings gravitated toward, clung to, and parasitized the minority big beings. Most big beings, because they were unaware of Hubbard’s technology, ultimately were dragged down to the level of the riff-raff degraded beings. But Tom and Dave, being intelligent and perceptive enough to recognize Scientology as the only road to total freedom, were in a league of their own. High above the rest of the lonely minority of big beings on the planet. Tom took to Miscavige’s mythology like a hungry dog to a bone.  He became increasingly zealous, and more and more loyal to David Miscavige.

Miscavige was transformed. He had achieved the cherry on the cake of the man who had everything. He now had the undying loyalty of the world’s biggest movie star. He relished living the high life, traveling only in Cruise’s private jet, attending world premieres as the guru to America’s biggest star. Miscavige’s mythology was so effective in controlling Cruise, and Tom’s return of validation back to Dave for being his big-being mentor were so gratifying that Miscavige began believing his own creation.

As much as Miscavige’s head swelled in the Tom Cruise inner circle, he became more and more detached and individuated from the Sea Org members of international management who had built the empire he was profiting from. They slaved on in squalid communal quarters, working long hours with no time off and next to no pay. That was not good enough for Miscavige, though. Apparently, he needed to prove his own degraded-being mythology to himself. Miscavige needed to prove to himself that the world view he had painted to lure in Tom Cruise was truth. He set out to prove just how pervasive the degraded-being phenomena was. And he set out to make those surrounding him as degraded and dangerous to a big being as were those he’d described while explaining “the facts of life” to Tom…

Steve Poore: A Re-Introduction to Scientology

Dear friends and fellow Scientologists,

Some of you may have noticed that I haven’t been too active or visible at OTC meetings, OT Ambassador activities   (I have been an OT Ambassador since 1995), Int Events, Ideal Org fund raising meetings, Ideal Org openings, etc. over the past many months.  I haven’t been back to Flag for about a year.

Some of you may have wondered what’s happened.  Well, the truth is, I have been wondering that myself.  I have pondered this and even concluded that my withdraw must be caused by my own overts and withholds.  I’ve originated this to Tech Terminals at Flag, D of P, Flag MAA, to my FSM and even to close friends (that I must have O/Ws causing withdraw).  I have been in session at Flag several times over the past year or two and in metered interviews with MAA.  I have also written up OWs.  Still, I found myself not really reaching or wanting to participate in these church activities including my own Bridge progress. (And yes, I did complete The Basics about 4 years ago and had good wins).

There just seemed to be these nagging considerations of outpoints that would not as-is, go away.  As of this date, my Ethics File at Flag is very empty with the exception of many dozens of Commendations as an OT Ambassador for 17 yrs., Power FSM and Front Lines Disseminator in the WISE Sector for the past 29 years.  I’m not saying here that I am some perfect little angel, but those of you who know me, know that I have been an unwavering, staunch supporter and defender of our church, Scientology and LRH for 35 years.

Why am I communicating to you?

“We of the Church believe … that all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinion of others…” The Creed of the Church of Scientology, 1954.

Hung-up at Doubt.  “But if he’s PTS, he’s stuck in a problem and is unable to come to a decision.  When a person is faced with suppression…The first manifestation of and the first consequence of a problem is indecision…FALSE DATA.

False data can also cause a hang-up on the Doubt Formula…stuck with this suppressive false data.” – HCO PL 18 DECEMBER 1982 ETHICS CONDITIONS: HANG-UP AT DOUBT

Did I have “false data” was I under “suppression”?

I’ve realized in recent weeks, that I have effectively been in sort of a state of indecision and silent protest for many months, even several years now.  And that I have had some major and basic considerations that I just couldn’t reconcile.

Precept # 7 TWTH: “Seek To Live With The Truth.  False data can cause one to make stupid mistakes.  It can block one from absorbing true data.”

I also know as a trained Data Series evaluator, that behind Out-points there is a Situation and below that a Why.

“Personal  integrity is knowing what you know – what you know is what you know – and to have the courage to know and to say what you have observed. And that is integrity.” -LRH

There is a tag line message in Church Promo that states: “think for yourself.” I personally think this is good advice.

LRH states this another way:  “Look, don’t listen.”  HCO PL 7 February 1965 KSW Series 1, Keeping Scientology Working

“A true group must have a management which deals in affinity, reality and communication, and any group is totally within its rights, when a full and reasonable examination discloses management in fault of perverting or cutting ARC, of slaughtering, exiling or suspending that management.   ARC is sacred.”  Essay on Management

“[People] learn to keep their mouths shut, and it’s the wrong lesson. When in doubt, talk. When in doubt, communicate… you’ll be very successful all the way along the line if you just remember that.”  The Phoenix Lectures 1954

“What would happen if all men were free enough to speak?  Then and only then would you have freedom.”  HCO PL 8 February 1960 Honest People Have Rights, Too (OEC Vol. 0, p. 461)

“There is no slightest advantage in getting somebody to believe some fundamental truth uninspected. …and when he can inspect without fear, he can know the truth of things.  And the odd part of it is that once you know the truth of something, it can’t bite…”, excerpt from London Congress, TRUTH AND FREEDOM 23 June 1960

“Any management which operates as a censorship or a propaganda medium will inevitably destroy itself and injure the group.”  HCOPL 9 Jan 51 An Essay On Management (OEC Vol. 7 p. 567)

Okay, so I’m speaking freely and speaking out.  If my observations and comments are just lies, and I’m only attempting to rabble rouse, then how can reading this harm you or anyone?

There is an ironbound rule in handling things:  WHERE YOU FIND OUTPOINTS, YOU WILL THERE ALSO FIND A SITUATION.”  SITUATION FINDING, Data Series 30

Below are just a few of the outpoints and situations that I have been attempting to understand or to think with.  The outpoints and situations I’m listing here have become increasingly impossible to ignore.  This is of course my data and observations; you will need to think for yourself and decide for yourself based on your own observations and your own data.  “Look, don’t listen.”

New definition of Floating Needle at Flag.  About 2 years ago, I was given an interesting indoctrination by a Word Clearer in the OT VI course room at Flag. The Word Clearer insisted on me agreeing that the definition of “rhythmic” as in “…rhythmic sweep of the dial…” was that the needle had to swing three times before it could be called an FN.

Here is LRH’s definition:  “A floating needle is a rhythmic sweep of the dial at a slow, even pace of the needle.  That’s what an F/N is.  No other definition is correct.”  HCOB 21 July 1978 What Is A Floating Needle? (Tech Vol. II, p. 204) this definition of FN is also in the Tech Dictionary.

I also noticed over the past few years at Flag, in the AO HGCs, that at the after session examiner, the examiner would consistently sit there after I picked up the cans and stare at the meter, wait and wait.  This was very odd (outpoint) as in each case I obviously had FNed at the end of session and here I was having trouble FNing at the examiner.

After this happened a couple of times, I learned to sit there and review in my head or in some cases verbalize my wins and cogs in session, and even in some cases, when that didn’t work, begin thinking about just some win in life to get the meter to FN.  This experience was very odd (outpoint), as in all my 30 + yrs. of auditing, I’ve never experienced having trouble at the examiner.  I just sort of thought, oh well, I guess it’s just me.

Now, looking back on this over the past few months, I have also realized that maybe I wasn’t the only one experiencing this as I’ve noticed consistently long lines at the examiner.  I had the same experience at the Success Examiner, trouble FNing. The last time at Success I was red-tagged, sent to Qual and told by the Qual Sec after she watched the video, that I in fact did FN and then I proceeded to attest.  Recently, I was able to confirm with other Flag Public that they have had the same experience and observations.

LRH:  “One often wonders why people are so ‘reasonable’ about intolerable and illogical situations.  The answer is very simple: they cannot recognize outpoints when they see them and so try to make everything seem logical.  The ability to actually see an outpoint for what it is, in itself is an ability to attain some peace of mind. …The human reaction is to react to an outpoint. And then get ‘reasonable’ and adopt some explanation for it, usually untrue.

You can safely say that ‘being reasonable’ is a symptom of being unable to recognize outpoints for what they are and use them to discover actual situations.”  HCO P/L 30 September 1973 Issue II Data Series 30, Situation Finding (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 128)

“A lot of people are on a stuck flow of being sensible and sane — and that winds up in stupidity.   So they get reasonable.  Their confront of evil isn’t up to it — basically, their confront of outpoints.”  HCO P/L 18 March 1977RA Data Series 43RA, Evaluation and Programs (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 167)

“It is horrifying to behold how easily people buy dub-in.  This is because an illogical sequence is uncomfortable.  To relieve the discomfort they distort their own observation by not-ising the outpoint and concluding something else.”  HCO P/L 18 May 1970 Data Series 7, Familiarity (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 29)

Back to this new definition of FN. Was there a Hidden Data Line?

“The first goof relating to Releases is the one done for fifteen years — running past a free, floating needle on any type of process. THIS is the goof that held back all Scientology.  And if it continues to be done, known as well as it is now that you mustn’t, one can only consider it suppressive — not just ignorant — as who now doesn’t know you wreck a Release by running past the floating needle?”  HCOB 2 August 1965 Release Goofs (Tech Vol. VII, p. 631)

“But how would one, who has not studied policy or is not very far advanced in his tech training know when he was being given an off-policy or out-tech order?

1. If it seems kind of stupid it is probably off-policy or out-tech…

2. Require that one be shown in the exact issue or book what the policy or tech actually is.

3. Read it for yourself and don’t listen to any interpretation that seems far-fetched.”  HCO P/L 13 January 1979 Orders, Illegal and Cross (OEC Vol. 0, p. 145)

“Some students have believed there was a “hidden data line” of tech in Scientology, a line on which Scientology tech was given out by me but not made known to students.

… There is no such line. The whole of technology is released in HCO Bulletins and HCO Policy Letters and tapes I do and release.  I don’t tell people anything in some private way, not even Instructors. ‘…If it isn’t written, it isn’t true…’ Somebody says ‘Ron said to — ‘ and on a veteran staff you hear the rejoinder ‘Let’s see it…’ So we have learned the hard way —  ‘If it isn’t written, it wasn’t said’.   HCO P/L 16 April 1965, Issue I KSW Series 22, The “Hidden Data Line” (OEC Vol. 4, p. 347)

“A ‘hidden data line’ is a pretense that certain data exists outside of HCOBs, books, and tapes.”  HCOB 1 September 1971, Issue I C/S Series 57, A C/S as a Training Officer—A Program for Flubless Auditing (Subject Vol. 1, p. 214)

IS THIS NEW DEFINITION OF FLOATING NEEDLE BEING IMPLEMENTED BY RTC AT FLAG? – read on or go to the attachment here and read 31 Factors for Scientologists to Consider.

I discovered that “Since this redefinition of F/Ns was first incorporated into the Pro Metering and Solo courses, students have been referred to sources as far-fetched as the Art Series, the Marketing Series, a physics text, and The Encyclopedia of Music, in order to understand it.” www.friendsoflrh.org     Friends of LRH web-site.

Incorporated into SOLO COURSES?

“Psychotics deal with doing people in. Their whole mission in life is destruction.

They inveigh against lower levels gains and seek to discredit them since these run contrary to their aberrated purpose.

But when it gets to Clears and OT levels, psychos go berserk!”

…OT LEVELS HCO BULLETIN 10 MAY 1982

The above (re-defining FN) is JUST ONE example of gross corruption of the Tech, Policy and KSW.

“ANY PERSON FOUND TO BE USING VERBAL TECH SHALL BE SUBJECT TO A COURT OF ETHICS. THE CHARGES ARE GIVING OUT DATA WHICH IS CONTRARY TO HCO BULLETINS OR POLICY LETTERS, OR OBSTRUCTING THEIR USE OF APPLICATION, CORRUPTING THEIR INTENT, ALTERING THEIR CONTENT IN ANY WAY, INTERPRETING THEM VERBALLY OR OTHERWISE FOR ANOTHER, OR PRETENDING TO QUOTE THEM WITHOUT SHOWING THE ACTUAL ISSUE.  ANY ONE OF THESE CATEGORIES CONSTITUTES VERBAL TECH AND IS ACTIONABLE PER THE ABOVE.”  HCOB 15 February 1979 KSW Series 24, Verbal Tech: Penalties (Tech Vol. XI, p.447)

“So we can assume that people who are a bit inclined to malign, knock apart and shoot the human race, and have that as their only goal, can get into Scientology and can remove things from the technical line, or pervert or alter things in the technical line, which then makes Scientology unworkable.”  “And the higher on a command line the power is drawn from, the wider area the alter-is covers.”  Class VIII TAPE 1 “An Introduction To Standard Tech” 24 September 1968

CHURCH  MANAGEMENT (RTC):

It has been very perplexing to me why so many high profile senior execs (most on post for decades and are now “blown” or declared), have resorted to talking to the media about alleged injustices and human rights violations occurring at the very highest level of our church.

I couldn’t think with this approach.  I considered this an obvious violation of Church policy …reflecting badly not only on The Church, but worst of all, dragging Scientology and LRH’s name through the mud.

This has been very upsetting to me and I’m sure to you too.  My consideration has always been, if there are disagreements of church policy and programs or injustices, then, the thing to do is handle it on the correct lines and within the group using Scientology Ethics and our Justice System.

As I began to check into this, I discovered that these terminals did in fact attempt with great persistence and personal sacrifice, to handle these outpoints on the correct lines.  And in many cases their efforts extended over many years and even decades.

Church management’s response has been to discredit them by asserting they suddenly “went bad” and so have declared them as SPs.  The church has even gone further by proceeding to call them apostates, heretics and squirrels and have orchestrated Black PR campaigns to affect their destruction.

Apparently, each had concluded that there was no justice available and no change/correction forthcoming under current church management.  But instead of keeping quiet as ordered, they eventually resorted to going public in the media and courts rather than just letting it go, or going away—silenced.

This situation of course has made it increasingly difficult for me as a front lines disseminator in the WISE Sector over the past 29 years to do my job and contribute to our mission of a cleared planet – it makes it hard, really, near impossible for all of us to forward our purpose.  Currently the public’s perception of the Church of Scientology is the worst it’s been in our history! This is from my personal experiences of having done thousands of Handle Steps on Raw Public over these many years, and still do in PT as a front-lines disseminator and Power FSM.

It has become a glaring outpoint of the obvious disappearance over the last several years at international events of our senior church leadership/executives.  For example the many senior and veteran Int Execs and WDC members, and CMO Execs including our President, Heber Jentzsch, Ken Hoden, Norman Starkey, Janet Light, Guillaume Lesevre, Ray Mitoff, Mark Yeager, Greg Wilhere, Karen Hollander, Diana Horwich – Hubbard, and even David Miscavige’s brother and father Ronnie Miscavige Jr. and Ron Miscavige Sr. and so many more. Oh yes, Guillaume Lesevre did speak at an event some months back but not as ED INT, and is now absent from the scene once again.

Ever increasingly, veteran SO staff who have served faithfully for decades seem to disappear for years and then curiously re-appear; out, off staff and in many cases declared and now resorting to telling their horrific stories of physical abuse and injustice to the media.

Interestingly (outpoint), the attacks through the media (even the ones we hear about in Europe) in recent years and months are not coming from the real SPs on this planet, the international bankers and their government agencies, the CIA, Interpol, etc and their lapdog controlled media they use to forward their Black PR.  NO, the attacks are coming from the Media, but with who’s data?  Mostly from ex-church staff, especially SO members and high profile public Scientologists who have had to resort to the media and to the courts for the purpose of seeking justice and correction, but mainly to expose the crimes of top leadership in our church, namely David Miscavige.

Why do all the attacks in the media seem to be coming from within; ex-members and ex-SO staff members?  What/who is creating this horrific out-PR situation and poisoning the church’s image?  Why is the public perception of Scientology at an all-time low, even though we are supposedly doing more public outreach programs than ever before?  Why is the media and the entertainment industry incessantly and increasingly making a mockery of and holding up to public ridicule Scientology celebrities, our Church, Scientology and LRH?

Scientology is now a household word, not because of its good works publicized but is sadly now because of the human rights violations and atrocities being committed and condoned at the very top level of church management.

There comes a time when allegations of Senior Sea Org Management Terminals who were speaking out could no longer be ignored.  SO terminals who I respected and admired over the past 35 years, including Mike Rinder, CO OSA, Debbie Cook, CO FSO, Mark “Marty” Rathburn, Inspector General RTC, Vicki Aznaran, ex Pres. & COB, RTC, Marketing Execs: Steven Hall, Jeff Hawkins, veteran FSO registrar, Hy Levy, LRH Trained Class XII, Karen de La Carriere Jentzsch and many more including former FSO CL XIIs and CL VII Auditors & CS’s have come forth and told their experiences of outrageous suppressive behavior from Int Execs including mostly David Miscavige.

There are many more senior execs at the highest level of our church who have “blown” and have been effectively silenced.  There are many high profile celebrities including Paul Haggis, film producer/director, Lisa Marie Presley, Larry Anderson (orientation film) Michael Fairman, Dianetics TV Spokesperson, Jason Beghe, actor and many more who are “out” – some silent but many others blowing the whistle.

ARE ALL OF THESE PEOPLE REALLY SPs??

HCOPL 15 March 1977, DS 41, Evaluation: The Situation

A few relevant excerpts from this policy:

a) – “Back of wrong data you will normally find an impure intent.”

b) – “Now any time you find thirty people on staff being removed because they were suppressive, you know they had the wrong Why, because the percentages are wrong. … I can assure you they’ve left the suppressive on the staff and I can also assure you the guy that did it was suppressive.”

c) – “CLOUDING UP A SITUATION – Occasionally you’ll find a scene wherein a person’s or area’s PR is greater to him than production – PR, personal PR, means more than production.  And that is a characteristic of a suppressive.  He’ll fog the situation up with big PR about how good it is so it can’t be handled.” -LRH

You might ask yourself; Who is causing all this Internal Strife, creating all these enemies, all this hate that the media loves to report on?  I know I have asked myself these questions.  If any of this concerns you (and it should) go to my attachment and read 31 Factors for Scientologists to Consider.

“There are people who suppress. They are few. They often rise up to being in charge and then all things decay. They are essentially psychopathic personalities.  Such want position in order to kill. …They arrived when they arrived, in charge of things, because nobody when they were on their way up said ‘No’.  They are monuments to the cowards, the reasonable people who didn’t put period to them while they were still only small bullies and still vulnerable.”  HCO P/L 7 December 1969 Ethics, The Design of (OEC Vol. 1, p. 483)

Every OUTPOINT or SITUATION that you or I can observe can be explained, clarified or be backed up by an LRH Reference or LRH References and this can be successfully done without taking said references out of context to apply to these Outpoints or Situations.

PLANETARY DISEMMINATION ORG:

I have been wondering about the big broad Div 6 Dissemination Campaigns that we have all been hearing about at Int Events by COB for years.  These would flood the Orgs and Missions with brand new public.

Over a year ago, I was briefed (regged) by Planetary Dissemination Senior Fundraiser, Rudy Kempner.  He told me that we were very close to securing a huge $1 Billion PR & Marketing Campaign, that as a complete package it was only going to cost the Church $100 Million.  He just needed me to donate $5K.  This all sounded great to me!  Wow!  This would be a dream come true and I shared my excitement by briefing many of you about this.

Of course this has never happened.  Sure, I’ve seen a few of the PR ads, and PSAs, (mostly at Int Events).  The problem is, even if there was big volumes of these in the media, they don’t align with what LRH says about marketing “Books make Booms…” (DMSMH), and he was not talking about all the Basic Books in raw publics hands, or in libraries.  We hear about the millions of website hits, and all the “public reaches”, but why are the Orgs and Missions not flooded with New Raw Public?  Don’t believe me, go to your local orgs and missions and look, and not just at existing Div 2 public on Basics.  Where are the floods of New Public?  Who’s stopping the Big Broad Raw Public Dissemination Campaigns that we so desperately need to boom all the New Ideal Orgs?

And besides all this, LRH clearly states, “Word of mouth is a superior form of advertising to newspapers, radio and TV ads. People tend to believe their friends.”  HCO/PL PR SERIES 41

Is this (good and positive word of mouth) really possible in this current environment?

I have heard some say: “The public is out-ethics” or “PTS”, “The society has degraded and that’s why we don’t see floods of raw public…” as an explanation for why there are so few new public on lines.

“I’ve learned this over the years: The entirety of our stats are internally caused.  WE CAN CAUSE STATS AT WILL.  External actions don’t affect them.  A newspaper can write reams of entheta and it doesn’t affect our stats at all.”  HCO P/L 18 March 1977RA Data Series 43RA, Evaluation and Programs (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 167)

“The public is always there.  Any enemy action does not change our stats.  They are changed inside the org or by higher orders only.”  LRH ED 104 INT Auditing Sales and Delivery Prg #1 2 June 1970 (OEC Vol. 5, p. 258)

“It has been proven continually that orgs which function on policy deliver and prosper.  Periods of decline have been preceded by gross omissions, unwarranted changes or destructive actions which obstruct or distract from delivery.”  HCO P/L 29 December 1971RB, Flag Representative, Purpose of (OEC Vol 7, p. 1407)

Here are some other concerns I have:  The never ending delayed Release of Super Power, The Ideal Orgs Program, All Orgs St. Hill size for the release of OT IX & X.  IAS Fund Raising.  What is the difference between “Command Intention” and LRH’s Intention?  If any of this concerns you (and it should) read my attachment The 31 Factors for Scientologists to Consider

“If the tech/admin ratio of 2 admin to 1 tech is kept and even brought up toward 1-1, and if promotion is excellent and effective and tech service and org service is good, it is easy to lay aside enough to earn new quarters.  So the image can be improved.” LRH

“So the ogre which might eat us up is not the government or the High Priests.  It’s our possible failure to retain and practice our technology.”  HCO P/L 7 February 1965  KSW Series 1, Keeping Scientology Working (OEC Vol. 0, p. 7)

“All right.  As far as the state of the organization is concerned, this organization of Scientologists will be as successful as it communicates, one with another – and not necessarily into a central office – but as successful as it communicates, one with another about its problems and antipathies and demonstrates these into a reality and says what’s going on and discusses it and keeps together, you might say, as an understanding. …

“So there is no barrier in Scientology to good communication.  There are no fixed convictions across the boards, one way or the other.  The only thing you’re invited to do is just, please, understand what is going on.  Don’t make a wild guess at it and a fixed conviction and jump down somebody’s throat.

“I have, time after time, restrained the organization and parts of the organization from trying to unmock Scientologists and, just yesterday, restored the certificates of a fellow who’s evidently been quite wronged by another organizational member in Australia.  Why?  They’ve both got good intentions, I sent them cables and told them to talk.  It’ll all work out.

“There is no organizational trouble we can’t solve.  But there is a world situation that will remain unsolved right down to the last whimper unless we stay together, work together and do something about it.”   LRH – 4th London ACC, The Role of a Scientologist, 27 October 1955

http://www.friendsoflrh.org/  this web-site has been created by some of the most highly trained Auditors, C/Ses and Execs on the planet.

I lay full responsibility for this gross corruption of out-tech and illegal policy development and implementation directly at the door step of RTC but moreover and specifically with COB David Miscavige.

“It is more than policy that one gets the condition he fails to correctly and promptly assign and enforce.

It’s a sort of natural law. If you let your executives goof off and stay in, let us say, a Danger condition, yet you don’t assign and enforce one, they will surely put YOU in a Danger condition whether it gets assigned or not.

Remember that when your finger falters “on the trigger.”

(HCOPL 30 Oct 67-I, CONDITIONS, HOW TO ASSIGN, OEC Vol 1, p. 566ff)

Of course, predictably, for speaking out like this, there will now be a full blown concerted effort by the church (OSA) to orchestrate a smear campaign against me and trump up all manner of false charges of “suppression” on my behalf and proceed to Declare, and Expel Me – all in an effort to silence me and disconnect me.

That’s okay. I will not be stopped from doing my Bridge or from supporting and defending LRH and his legacy – and will not be stopped from forwarding my purpose of helping people with Scientology.  And one day, my sincere hope is – that sooner rather than later, we will all get our Church of Scientology back and then we can restore LRH’s legacy, and his aims and goals together.

Dear friends, please ask yourself this question:  Is it really possible to go full OT and reach true spiritual freedom in this environment, when day by day the Tech and Policy that LRH worked so hard for, and devoted his life’s work to, is being chipped away, little by little, altered, perverted and even reversed (see Black Dianetics) in very subtle ways and on a very subtle gradient?  This trend is not reverting but only accelerating over the years.  Let’s end this madness!

After much consideration, deliberation and evaluation over the past few weeks and realizing that I can no longer support Church Management or those who support it, I have decided to withdraw my support for current Church Management and am hereby announcing my resignation and disconnection from The current Church of Scientology led by David Miscavige and all those who support him.

My Goal Finder is LRH.

Today I join the world wide group called, ‘Independent Scientologists’ where honest, on source, LRH technology is being delivered by some of the highest trained, On Source Auditors and CS’s (CLVIIs, CL XIIs)  per KSW.  And where exposing the out tech and criminal activities of the current Church of Scientology Management is the order of the day.

AM I PTS?  NOT ANY LONGER!

Best wishes.

Combatting Disconnection

A most significant advance in the cause of disintegrating DISCONNECTION (Scientology Inc. brand shunning) was announced here late last week. For those who missed it during the flurry of breaking news, you can see it here, Fairmans’ Disarm Scientology Disconnection.

In the wake of that long bomb, Renata and Claudio Lugli advanced the ball further on a Italian national TV program.  (English subtitles included)  They also helped in our ongoing efforts to differentiate corporate Scientology from the subject of Scientology itself and the independent movement.

Karmic vortex*. Meet spiritual juggernaut.

*term coined by J. Swift, Karmic Vortex.   He posted this on 30 March 2008.  Though he had no way to know it through PMR (physical matter reality) channels, at the time he wrote that Mat Pesch and Amy were just connecting up with Mosey and me – the first Scientology-related connection I had made since leaving corporate Scientology, which led to everything else.

The Luglis Reveal Truth in Italy

A rather significant front-page article ran this week in a major Italian newspaper.   One of its subjects, Renata Lugli, wrote a short introduction to the piece.   It precedes the article below.

Anyone that studied and understood the materiel contained in the PTS SP Course , knows that suppression decreases when the person can do something about it.

If I have to choose from the many suppressions that I received from David Miscavige, thanks to his deadly tentacles of his “church”, the one that was most damaging was the violent intrusion in the very personal matters that relate to my family .

No church, that can call itself a church, can assume this right. But this conduct has been pursued by the use of third parties with a vicious ability to turn theta truth into ENtheta perversions.

The effect that David Miscavige wanted to create in doing that was to instill in my son Flavio, a Flag Staff, an unnatural sense of hatred toward me, with the purpose of convincing him to work against me and my family by having him perform the ungrateful task of spying on us and report to OSA.

The intention of David Miscavige and his minion in OSA was to “punish” me and my husband because we did not wanted to disconnect from the other son of ours Tiziano, that left the Corporate Scientology . Even after Marion Pow and Mike Sutter (RTC/OSA mission) had come to Brescia and stayed for one week to convince us to disconnect from Tiziano and after that our son Flavio was for hours on the phone trying to convince us to do the same. The famous or better infamous policy of Disconnection!

For two long years I had to bear this suppression, till the case of Karen De La Carriere/Alexander Jentzch made it explodeIt was exactly then that I took a firm decision: it is our duty to make the Italian public aware of what David Miscavige and his minions are doing.

And by “chance” after a week I met with the news reporter Leonardo Piccini that works for LIBERO and thanks to his interest in the matter we have been able to send back the flow to David Miscavige & Co. to balance the flow we as a family received from them.

What was Miscavige expecting when he designed all of his plan against my family? That a mother would let someone steal her son and would just take the violence and abuse of that and stay silent? Just look at someone destroying the most precious things that one has:, his/her family, and just sit in a corner like a beaten dog and do nothing?

David Miscavige does not have the faintest idea to which extent a mother will go.

He can possibly stop the President of The United States with his lobbying, but he will not stop a mother!

I want to cite to you a sentence taken from a song that Lisa Marie Presley just wrote, and this goes to David Miscavige:

“You haven’t seen nothing yet!”

You should have known that you better not touch a family, and you should have learned this lesson from Sun-Tzu:

There are roads one does not follow. There are armies one does not strike. There are cities one does not attack. There are grounds one does not contest. There are commands of the sovereign one does not accept.

The Exposure of The Designer Lugli

‘I WAS ONE OF THE BOSSES OF SCIENTOLOGY AND NOW I TELL YOU THE  TRUTH ABOUT THE CULT’

Written by LEONARDO PICCINI

The accusations do not come from a nobody, but from a major figure in Scientology, who starting from 1974 has done all of the awareness steps required to reach the top called OT VIII. This person is Claudio Lugli. He is a fashion designer.

§§§§§§§

THE PERSONAL STORY

I Will Explain What Kind Of A Nightmare Scientology Is

The Fashion Designer Claudio Lugli has been for years a leader in the Church founded by Hubbard. Since he and his wife got out: ‘They take away from you your money and your dignity. They even took a son from us!

…. He is a fashion creator, dressed people like Miles Davis, Pino Daniele or movie stars like John Travolta, and Chick Corea, but also the charismatic leader of the church founded by Hubbard, David Miscavige.

We meet in a luxurious loft in Brescia, and words flow like a river: “Me, my wife Renata and our two sons Flavio and Tiziano have been following Scientology since ever. We have been amongst the pioneers and the founding members of the Church of Hubbard in Italy, and we took great care in expanding and financing its operations. But today we decided to end with the Miscavige Organization”

“It has not been an easy decision, because it is never easy to find out a truth that makes vanish, just in one shot, 36 years of dedication and support to values that have been trampled on used just to support greed and personal interests.”

Because his majesty David Miscavige, lives the high life, the thousands of Scientologists that are still part of his cult  are totally unaware of this.

Renata Lugli is even more direct: “We found out that through the years a lot of things changed and that ‘Church Management’ betrayed the faith and the ideals in which we believed in”

To follow the story has been necessary to address issue that every Scientologist has at heart and discuss of what is happening in Hemet, California, the International Base where David Miscavige lives.

“For us is not easy to talk” – says Renata – “because one of our sons Flavio , a 35 years old boy, is still inside what I define as the MISCAVIGE CORPORATE Scientology. He lives in Clearwater Florida, north of Tampa, and it is 15 years that he is working as an auditor in the Sea Org, the advanced organization of Scientology. People there are made to work even 20 hours a day, sleep in a modest room and have a salary of $ 20 a week. But when you talk about Miscavige … things change. A friend of ours worked directly under him in the “Special Personal Service Unit”. This unit is reserved only for Miscavige and his wife. While other staff members almost starve he spends more than a  $1,000 just on food per week”

Miscavige and his wife have one Chef full time working for them plus an assistant Chef and several stewards and butlers. The head of Scientology eats every two hours, and he follows a specific diet, a low fat diet.

“Naturally all the food must be extremely fresh and of the best quality available. And for lunch and dinner Miscavige must have two different choices always available to him , and this means a 4 full course menu for two different people every single day”

Salmon for Miscavige comes fresh from the East Coast of USA or Canada, but the lamb must be only the one coming from New Zealand that has been fed by a special kind of corn. And steaks?  Everything absolutely biological, like filet mignon first quality.

“When Miscavige celebrate his birthday or when he is having guest of the caliber of Tom Cruise  – (The actor has been a Scientologist since years now-)  Claudio lugli says – everything becomes even more  fancy and extravagant: preparations began even 3 or 4 days ahead and servants have to follow a special “wish list” . And if what the master Chef created is not considered good enough, then, orders are placed in the best and most fancy restaurants available, and there is no limit, because the boss needs to be satisfied.  Foie Gras and truffle are the norm.”

And let’s talk about his residence:

“It is comparable to royalty, things not even imaginable to the Sea Org rank and file or the regular Scientologist.”

Miscavige owns fabulous buildings in Gilman Hot Spring, in Los Angeles and at Flag. In England he even has a castle at his disposal.

“Everything has been designed and custom made for him, only the very best and state of the art is used furniture wise”

Miscavige has a fleet of cars that only international collectors normally have, and also a large number of bikes and:
“If there is anything expensive that he does not own yet , there is no problem, it will be put in the next birthday or Christmas wish list “

Mrs Renata adds: “Per what Mr Hubbard wrote, money donated by parishioners had to be used to disseminate Scientology, they have never been intended to make live a life of luxury to somebody at the helm of the church. Hubbard never lived a kind of life like that, with such a flaunted style of life like Miscavige does, and this is also another proof of how much the original ideals of Scientology have been betrayed.”

And Mr Lugli adds:

“Miscavige invented a new, perverted mechanism to take money from the parishioners: the so called “Ideal Orgs”. I saw with my very eyes, in Padova at an event, a lady going up on stage and announce to a crowd of Scientologist that she would donate the three apartments she had just got as an inheritance fron her parents to the “Ideal Org Project”, the Scientologist were in ecstasy.

And what can we say about Mr Richie Acunto, he was rewarded as “Diamond Meritorious” because he had donated something like 10 million dollars to the “Ideal Org”! Richie was a good friend of Tiziano, my son, he married Tiziano and Jamie, but the point is that part of the money he had donated have been used to hire and pay something like 50 Private Investigators that for MONTHS besieged my son house in Hollywood because he had left the Church. Richie Acunto shortly after went bankrupt with his company the “Survival Insurance”, a huge insurance company, but this was of no interest to Miscavige. He has a very big team of people that specialize in fund raising, they even go to the parishioner house in the middle of the night and force him to pay some money.

It looks like that a parallel organization named IAS has accumulated funds in the order of a billion dollars.

But Miscavige’s perversion knows no boundaries: like a new born Caligula, that became famous because he appointed his horse as Senator, so Miscavige decided “to put the rank bars” to his dog and appointed the dog Captain. And if the dog barks at you that’s a sign that you “are out ethics” and so you will be punished.

“Ethics” in Scientology is a word that comes up continuously.

“If you are there you are like a prisoner in the STASI” – says Renata – “Things keep getting worse and worse, sons and daughter are estranged from their families, and they can keep just casual contact by phone with their parents or family members, and there is always somebody there listening and monitoring their calls.  You have to report each other to the “Ethics Officer”., he is the person that has to know everything so that things run smoothly without ANY external influence. And if your family thinks differently, or worse get out of the Church, they are considered immediately “apostate”, and barred for ever.” Renata keeps on telling me: “One week ago a boy that had just turned 27, his name is Alexander, died in very obscure circumstances. His father is Heber Jentzch, the President of The Church of Scientology International, but his mother, one of the highest trained auditor on the planet, and directly trained by Hubbard, was not allowed to see her dead son. The Church had imposed to Alexander not to have any contact whatsoever with his mother . This type of behavior is called “DISCONNECTION”, and now this practice became very usual and families are thrown in despair because of it.

But I would have never thought that this practice could go beyond death! That situation troubled me very much, because I have a son too that disconnected from us, two years ago, when we decided to leave Scientology.”

“In Scientology, a follower can be punished” her husband says- “they use what they call the RPF, Rehabilitation Project Force; it is in essence like forced labor, and you have to clean toilets, paint a wall, and various menial jobs for 8 hours a day, plus 4 hours you have to study, And this goes on for years, for some even more than 10 years. And what about THE HOLE ? That’s a place where staff members are kept against their will for weeks and weeks, intimidated and prisoners, and they have to sleep on the floor and eat some slop – armed guards are always present , movement sensor are in place, and doors are locked. Plus there is the constant threat of physical violence, and people in the HOLE are subjected to physical and mental degradation of the worst kind.”

MISCAVIGE IS ACCUSED BY EX MEMBERS IN USA

IN THE USA THE SUPREME LEADER BEATS HIS JUNIORS .

ONE OF THEM WAS TREATED LIKE A PUNCHING BALL

Scientology in the USA is under a very serious schism problem. Some ex members are giving unprecedented accounts of information on what happened at the highest levels of their organization.

Those are statements that are coming from the highest ranks and people broke the conspiracy of silence and started giving interviews to the media.

People like Tom De Vocht that was managing for years the “Headquarters” of the Church in Clearwater – Or Amy Scobee, that was managing the network dedicated to all the celebrities in Scientology – a key figure that had daily contact with people of the caliber of John Travolta or Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes or the like. And even more, top managers like Marty Rathbun that worked almost his entire life together with David Miscavige, as second in command, handling legal affairs.

Or Mike Rinder  for 20 years the head of OSA the Office of Special Affarirs: they left Scientology and decided to give very detailed and strong interviews like the one they all gave to the St. Petersburg Times, in where they reveal the methods that David Miscavige used to keep his power.

Miscavige in 1986 became the undisputed leader of Scientology. Miscavige is 49 and is described by many as being very charismatic.

Many call him just COB, because he is the Chairman of The Board – basically the owner of the Church now, Church that was founded back in 1954 .

The ex members are accusing Miscavige of physical violence , a reality that is permeating the whole of Scientology. Mike Rinder even said that: “I have been beaten more than 50 times by Miscavige”. Rathbun, Rinder, De Vocht they also admit of beatings they did and they did it to “show the boss of what they were of “.

De Vocht says that there is no particular reason why people are beaten or abused by Miscavige: “Miscavige goes crazy for nothing, it is enough that what you say to him something that is not what he was expecting from you. And it could be something that happens, just for his whim – it can be the way you looked at him, or because you were too slow in answering his questions.”

There is a list of people that have been abused and Rathbun and Rinder made this list public in interviews:

Marc Yager: “Has been beaten about 20 times, he was treated like a punching bag”

Guillame Lesevre, about ten times, and Ray Mithoff was regularly beaten very violently on the head and strangled or thrown on the ground – per what Rathbun said.

Rathbun also says that Mike Rinder has been beaten at least a dozen times.

For Rinder: “Was not much the physical pain, but was the humiliation . Because you cannot defend yourself, you cannot raise your hands against the boss.”

But their accusations go beyond that and they say: “ Staff are disciplined with a justice system that include “public” confessions of your sins and the isolation of the sinner and he/she is sentenced to manual forced labor.”

Those are all very heavy accusations and more: “The Church has covered the Lisa McPherson death case. They made a mess trying to take care of her , but Lisa Mc Pherson died after was kept isolated for 17 days at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater.”

Rathbun was in charge of handling the resulting mess media wise, and he admits to: “I ordered the destructions of incriminating proofs and documents.”

THE QUESTIONS THAT LIBERO ASKED TO SCIENTOLOGY

Libero for several weeks tried to get the following questions answered by the people responsible for Scientology in Italy, but no answers were given.

Here are the questions:

  1. What are the aims of Scientology?
  2. In which areas of the society Scientology  operates?
  3. How many followers there are in the world, and in particular haw many in Italy?
  4. David Miscavige is the highest in rank in Scientology?
  5. How are the living standards of your religious leader, related to a normal member of your Church?
  6. Is it true that David Miscavige owns  luxury cars and bikes
  7. We were informed that many families  because of your policy of “Disconnection” have been separated. Does this policy exists. If so how does it works?
  8. What are and how do work the “Ideal Orgs” . What are the services they offer to followers and members of your Church?
  9. How many people left the Church so far?
  10. What is your attitude toward two famous of those high ranking ex members like Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder?
  11. What are you saying in relationship to the very precise accusations that Debbie Cook gave under oath in an American Court of Law, in where she talked about THE HOLE and the abuses she experienced   while there?

Scientology And Saving The World

In 1950 L. Ron Hubbard burst onto the scene tackling the attainment of the ends of Eastern spiritualism with the practicality mindset of Western materialism.   He developed two related subjects toward that end, Dianetics, and its outgrowth, Scientology.  Within two to three years he had described in pratical English terms having seen the universal truths as outlined in the Vedas and in the Tao Te Ching.  He also described modern exercises that he discovered and developed to bring others to that experience.  He spent the rest of his life attempting to undercut the route so that virtually anyone from any station in life or of whatever educational background could traverse it.  In that effort to reach and effect all, matters eventually became complicated.  An insidious parallel to helping and saving all peoples of earth evolved throughout Scientology writings.  That is, the stress became not so much to make Scientology accessible to everybody as much as to make Scientology mandatory for everyone.  This approach led to a type of dual personality for the subject.  On the one hand it intended to release an individual from the restraints of life and to restore freedom of choice.  On the other hand, it usurped freedom of choice and imposed restraints in the attempt to get every person there.

Control and restraint themes developed throughout Scientology writings.  It was justified by the repeated idea that Dianetics and Scientology contain the answers to every problem and every question that every person ever faced; with the repeated emphatic idea that no one else has anything of use to contribute to those answers.  The theme was evident in a substantial body of proselytization and ethics policy that justified any means necessary to leading the clueless to the only show in town. These policies dedicatedly applied wound up appealing to a broad spectrum of people as intended.  That included people who wanted to communicate better, to find their sanity, to improve memory, to sell more, to be more successful, to have more meaningful relationships, to make more money, to dominate and control others, to reach higher states of spiritual awareness, to be more powerful, to get off drugs, to learn how to study, and even to reach immortality.  In promoting to all those looking for these answers and more, and representing to those publics that those wants were all that Scientology was interested in helping them with, all the while intending and organizing to direct such people toward ultimately making Scientology the answer to everything weaved a strain of fraud into the woof and warp of its organizations.

Fraud requires as its central element the making of a misrepresentation that the communicator knows is false.   In the case of Scientology, the recurrent, systemic knowing lie has nothing to do with the lack of efficacy of Scientology itself. When a Scientologist tells somebody that Scientology contains the answer to his problem, as well as every answer to every problem that person will ever face, that Scientologist believes that representation implicitly. The knowing misrepresentation that virtually every Scientologist is guilty of making over and over again is that whatever particular problem a seeker wants solved is the only problem the Scientology organization is interested in solving.  In fact, Scientology scripture very methodically details how to use the solving of a particular problem as the bait to be switched toward creating a new bigger problem for the bait biter to pursue.  Scientologists will vehemently protest my use of words such as “misrepresentation” and “fraud.”   But, the fact of the matter is that many of the significant problems that have nagged or lessened the reach of Scientology organizations stemmed from this inculcated lie.

This is not to say that Scientology does not contain the tools to solve every problem every person faces.  A trained Scientologist is well equipped to solve a wide variety of human problems.   In fact, selflessly and ethically practiced Scientology does wonders in putting a person into a position where he or she is well equipped to resolve any problem he or she may encounter.  However, in carrying out Scientology policy that requires everlasting steadfast loyalty and fealty to the organization, the organization is hard-wired to ensure a person never believes he or she is so equipped. It is quite a trick.  In order to enforce that fealty and loyalty – and its concomitant, escalating contributions -there must always be something more wrong with the person being handled. And so, all too often a fellow works his way up the Scientology gradients of enlightenment for decades, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in the pursuit of the promised state of ‘cause over life.’   In virtually every case the fellow winds up being convinced to spend several tens or hundreds of thousands more to find out and solve why he never made the vaunted state of ‘cause over life.’

Again, this is not to say that the methods of Scientology cannot produce such a state.  It is to say that the effectiveness of Scientology is never realized because of the original, well-embedded lie that Scientology organizations are not interested in anything other than providing help with whatever is troubling the person who reaches for help.  Intead, the organzations are constructed on the principle that once a person checks in, he or she never checks out.  Individuals connected to Scientology organizations are programmed to find another problem to solve for the seeker.  If they cannot find one, they manufacture it. Let’s examine more closely how it works in practice.

Let us say that a fellow wants to overcome problems with communication.   Scientology offers and delivers a course on communication that thousands have extolled the virtues of.  However, Scientology Inc. staff are bound by policy that prohibits the leaving of good enough alone.  It penalizes staff who fail to immediately ‘re-sign’ anyone who successfully completes a course.   While the course might be a complete success in the eyes of the person who took it, it is an utter failure as far the organization is concerned if that same person does not immediately open his wallet and lay down more money for more expensive courses or pricey personalized counseling.  Again, that is not to say that the expensive courses and counseling are not worthy.  It is to say that Scientology organizations are prohibited by their scripture from ever leaving good enough alone.  They operate on policy that uses Scientology’s knowledge of the mind to manipulate all those who complete course or counseling services to re-sign for more expensive future services.

Scientologists are blind to the bait and switch nature of their own day to day operations for a couple reasons.  First, they justify the hustle by the efficacious results that Scientology services can and do deliver.  Second, that justification is reinforced and complicated by a steady indoctrination into the idea that mankind is doomed, non-Scientologists are worse than aimless, and the only answers to everything – including immortality – are covered only in Scientology.

It might be that Scientology’s greatest sin stems from its greatest original virtue.  It might be that the policy discussed herein was initially developed out of an abiding, strong urge to salvage humankind.  However, like every movement throughout humankind’s history that has begun perpetrating harm once it is convinced it is the only one capable of ‘saving the world’, organized Scientology seems to have perfected the art of ‘controlling’ in the name of ‘freeing.’

This state of affairs led to my posing the question, ‘is organized religion an oxymoron?’

Being someone who finds tremendous value in the Buddha’s philosophy of the Great Middle Path, and L. Ron Hubbard’s use of infinity logic (there are no absolutes but instead an infinity of gradients at either side of 0 on any scale), I am interested in hearing peoples’ views as to the answer to the question posed.

UPDATE:

As a couple at least have challenged me to show any evidence whatsoever that Scientology Policy encourages bait and switch trickery, I picked up the 1140 page policy volume Scientology on sales and within a couple minutes found the two exerpts below.  The first is from Policy Letter entitled HANDLING THE PUBLIC INDIVIDUAL:
Example: Miss N has heard of processing.  She wants some.  She never did DECIDE to want some.  She just wants some. Now to ask her to decide ANYTHING about it blunts that purpose.  It is a thin purpose.  It quivers.  Don’t ask her does she want a book or want training or want a pin or want anything else. Say only, ‘Ah. You want processing.  That’s a good thing to want.  Be here Monday and bring ________ funds.’  That’s all. If she says timidly, “I only have _____ funds,” say, “Good. Bring them; you can owe the rest.  Be here on Monday.  In short MAKE Miss N RIGHT for WANTING, thus intensifying the want.  Make her RIGHT when she talks about money.  Then, being right she CAN come in Monday.  Simple.  Chances are, even if she works, she’ll still come in.  When she comes in she says, ‘I’m Miss N.  I’m here for my processing.’  Reception MUST say, “Ah.  You’re Miss N. Good. There’s the Accounts widow.  Sign up there.’ The Accounts says, ‘Here’s the slip.  Sign here.  Take the slip to Room _____.’  Reception says, ‘This way Miss N.’  Estimations says, “let me have your Accounts receipt.  Good.  That’s fine. Have you been processed before?  No?  Well, you soon will be.  This way please.  Your auditor is waiting.” The auditor says, “Over here, please,’ adjusts the pc’s chairs, etc., and sits down and says, “Start of session.”  At its end he says, ‘Be in this room at _______’ for Miss N’s next.  And so on.  When she gets her grade certificate she’s told, ‘That means you’re a Grade I preclear.  Get the book ____________down in Reception.  It will tell you all about Grade II.’  Miss N throughout is NEVER anything but 8-Ced. The general promotion told her what to want by saying she could HAVE it.  She expresses the want.  The org people say, “That’s a good thing to want.  You can have it.  And gives it to her.  That’s all. Just as you’d never ask a pc which command he wanted, you never as the public individual to decide.  You can teach them anything, particularly the truth.  But never ask them to decide.  By processing up the grades, this person will soon begin to see and be there and understand and decide.  And she’ll surely decide she’s a Scientologist, as it’s true all the way!’
Now, combine that with HCOPL 28 DECEMBER 1978 USE OF BIG LEAGUE SALES:
The caper is to assume the individual has already chosen to buy a specific item and then to get him to make some minor choice about it which involves him and makes him assume he has decided to purchase it.  It is a technique to bypass a large decision.  EXAMPLE: Person hasn’t decided to have processing, salesman ignores that and asks him if he wants his auditing afternoons or evenings.  The guy says evenings and forgets to notice he hasn’t decided to be processed in the first place.

UPDATE 7/9/12:

Pancho and Squirrel

Greetings to everyone who is independent and even those who have not made the decision who yet struggle to be independent while still in the church  (good luck with that!).

This photo was taken the day after I made the decision and told everyone.  The power of coming out of Doubt for real!

This PIG is the biggest fish I have ever caught, and it was out of a small river where he was marauding the trout population.

I named him “SQUIRREL,” and I’m going back for more!

Thank you ALL for your wonderful acknowledgements and welcomes to this community!  I have been working on acknowledging you individually but only just became Cause over Answering on Blogs!

My own blog will be up in a day or two.

Love,

Shreff

I have been told by a number of Independent Scientologist friends that Mark Shreffler has been perhaps the most effective and productive advocate and promoter of the religion of Scientology in the United States over the past thirty years.  Two of those friends are Dani and Tami Lamberger who are making international waves of their own at the moment, see Israel Goes Independent.   Mark made an announcement on USA’s Independence Day, and I think it is only fitting that we publish it here on day one of the third annual Independent Scientologists weekend celebration.  Judging from the clarity and wisdom of this communication, I can see why Mark is renowned as such a wonderful communicator of truth. Mark, you are more than welcome here in the sunshine.  I am sure your ability and purpose will lead others to see the light.
July 4, 2012For my Scientologist friends everywhere, good afternoon!Over 38 years of disseminating around the world and introducing many thousands of people to the miracles of Scientology, I have without a doubt established myself as a fan and a friend of LRH and the technologies he has developed for our benefit.  They offer salvation to anyone who honestly makes use of them.

I have recently gone through an extensive search for answers to troubling questions concerning the nature of various programs being forwarded by our church’s management.  These programs include the IAS, the “Ideal Org” project, the institution of “International Events” and a few other activities and anomalies for which I could find no support in policy and no answers at Flag.

I have learned that honest people do not squirrel, but squirrels need honest people to get away with it.  Honest people are more easily fooled and frequently generous.  Hence the very honest and helpful and generous congregation of the Church of Scientology has fallen victim to an operating basis that describes a very different church than the one I joined so many years ago.

It’s rather like discovering as an adult that your favorite pet when you were a child is actually a stuffed doll.  The first realization is not-issed, but as you continue to look you become more and more dumbfounded by the realization.

It used to be so alive!

I have awakened to the fact that many in our church today have lost their tongues and hide their notions that something is not right in our group.  Social personalities don’t like to accentuate the negative, and anti-socials rely on this fact!

Communication has become a crime unless it is along “company lines.”  There is the nagging presence of an outpoint yet unrevealed, and we have turned against each other as LRH said would happen in the presence of suppression.

The Doubt Formula today cannot be fully applied regarding these things because questions concerning intentions and activities and stats are treated like the spawn of the enemy, and one is not allowed to fully examine all sides of an issue. Full disclosure is a thing of bygone years.

To restore our group to it’s earlier glories – the 70’s and 80s when stats were going up –  requires a dramatic change of operating basis and a real and thorough examination of what is going on.

For starters, we have to STOP looking for leaders and START looking to LRH.

I am heartsick about these discoveries as I have many friends who match these sterling qualities of generosity and honesty and gullibility who yet do not perceive these foul winds and disturbing trends, and hence will be dumbstruck by my announcement:

I am hereby withdrawing my support from the current management of the Church of Scientology and from these programs they have created with no sanction from LRH or from the policies he wrote that form the very glue of our union as free beings.

I will henceforth be operating as an independent Scientologist in the field.

I welcome as friends anyone who wants to Keep Scientology Working and bring about the Aims of Scientology, and is a genuine friend of LRH.

And so forth…

Allender and Miscavige: Peas in a Botox, Roids Pod

Please see this.  It is a an utterly racist, xenophobic, sexist, political statement by David Miscavige and his dysfunctional Scientology Inc.

Now, I ask you, is the following a more accurate, rational, sane positioning for this fellow?  I won’t condemn you if you disagree.  Please express your true feeling on this one.  John Allender has perfectly snapped terminals with his demigod David Miscavige.

If you lack reality on the latter, go here and read, and I suggest it will make perfect sense:

What Is Wrong With Scientology?

Kirstie Alley Defends David Miscavige

I have appended below excerpts of a verified transcript of an interview by the BBC’s John Sweeney with corporate Scientology celebrity Kirstie Alley. The interview was ordered and orchastrated by David Miscavige.  It was conducted on 21 March 2007 at church of Scientology Celebrity Center International in Hollywood Caliornia. I think this interview demonstrates a couple things that Scientologists ought to know about David Miscavige and his management of Scientology Inc.

First, the interview shows how celebrities are used to cover up the serial crimes of David Miscavige himself.  As we all know by now, the premise of the initial questions by Sweeny about the penalties for daring to harbor a thought contrary to Miscavige’s views is based on well-established fact.

Kirstie does a yoeman’s job of pretending those facts do not exist and diverting the conversation by positioning Sweeney’s question as akin to asking about alien sightings.

Which leads us to the second point of interest.  Kirstie by raising the specter of “aliens” sends Sweeny right down the Scientology space opera rabbit hole.  So much for Miscavige’s religious persecution complex.

Kirstie even resorts to claiming that as of the year 2007 she does not access the Internet in order to feign no knowledge of the RPF (Rehabilitation Project Force, Miscavige gulag).  Even if true, what does that say about a prominent member of the church of Scientology?  Medieval mentality?  Controlled to the point of being shielded from the outside world?  Just plain dishonest?

Kirstie did an admirable job of defending her religion against a lot of loaded questions.

However misled she may pretend to be though, the facts remain:

a)      Miscavige is a liar and a coward having people like Kirstie thrown out as canon fodder to cover his crimes.

b)      Kirstie is in fact last on record singing Miscavige’s praises, denying his documented crimes, and thus helping to perpetuate them.

SEGMENT 1:

JS: People who have been in Scientology say that there are effectively dungeons of the mind.  Places where people who have annoyed the management, David Miscavige, end up in the desert.

KA: People say there are Martians.   Look, I am the tabloid queen.

JS: That’s wholly untrue?

KA: That is–That there are no Martians?

JS: That Scientology has got a punishment, it’s got punishment camps where people go—

KA: Listen, but John, I can’t take you seriously.  I can’t take you seriously.

JS:  –And live miserable lives.  That’s just not true.  You’ve never heard that?

KA: To my knowledge it’s not true, but I can’t take you seriously.  It’s like me asking you, when was the last time you saw a Martian?  Because I know some people in Oklahoma who totally see Martians in their backyard.  And there are those people.

JS: Okay, well let’s talk about that.

KA: But not all Okies.   I’m from Kansas.  Oklahoma’s good.  They don’t all believe in Martians.

JS: Let’s talk about aliens.

KA: Let’s talk about aliens.

(not surprisingly followed by questions about OT III)

SEGMENT 2

JS: Why–Hold on a second.  As the public face of Scientology—

KA: Am I the public face of Scientology?

JS: You are not the leader of Scientology.  As the leader of Scientology, why hasn’t Miscavige given an interview and answered these questions? What’s he afraid of?

KA If I were Mr. Miscavige, I would never sit down and do an interview with you. I love the BBC.  I love the BBC with all my heart.  Probably the best programs in the world.  I am a comedian.  I am an actress.  The best comedies in the world are on the BBC.

JS: Fine.

KA: I love your network.  But if I were Mr. Miscavige I would not sit with you because you clearly—

JS: I’d ask him a question about does he go around thumping people.

KA: And I think that that’s probably why he wouldn’t do an interview with you.  Just like I wouldn’t ask you if you’re still molesting children.

JS: … any other journalist since 1991.

KA: Pardon?

JS: He hasn’t given an interview to anyone, to a TV journalist, since 1991.

KA: Why would he?  My question is, why would he?

JS: He’s the leader of an organization—

KA: So.

JA: –that claims it’s a church.  Other people say, who have been inside it, that it’s a sinister, mind-warping, brainwashing cult.

SEGMENT 3

JS: Terrific.  So why can’t Miscavige.  Why am I talking to an actress who is a loyal Scientologist?  Why can’t we talk to the leader of the Church?  Why can’t we talk to Tom Cruise?  He’s the biggest—

TD : I already told you why.

JS: Look, I can only interview one person at a time.

KA: He has nothing to do—Look, I’d like to answer this.  I’d like to answer this.

JS: Okay. Yes.  Why is that man scared of something like the BBC?

KA: Well see, you’re putting that in there, which isn’t true. Every week I get about 250 requests for interviews.  Now, I don’t particularly like doing interviews.

JS: Well you’re doing this one.

KA: So I turn down about 249 of those interviews.  Okay.  So I can’t imagine how many interview requests he gets.  But for whatever reason, he’s decided to turn them down.  I did this one because look, it is not my job to run around the world and defend Scientology.  But I happen to know the kind of piece you’re doing.   And I happen to respect the BBC.  And I happen to love Britain.  You know, my shows have been huge in Britain.  I’m getting ready to do a show that was beloved in Britain called the Vicar of Dibley, the American version.   I admire your actors and your artists, and I admire so much and I wonder why, why would you think someone would participate in something that is—talk about immoral and talk about creepy. This is creepy.

JS: Okay.  What is RPF?

KA: I don’t know.

JS: Don’t you?

KA: No I don’t.

JS: Have you never heard of it?

KA: No I haven’t heard of it.

JS: Do you use the Internet?

KA: No I don’t.

JS: Why not?

KA: Because I’m a bit stupid on the Internet. I’m a little bit in the 1940s. I like the phone. I can’t do the Internet.  I don’t know.
