A new friend of mine handed me a copy of a remarkable little book on Sunday. It is called As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen. The book contain this little, precious pearl on freedom from slavery:
It has been usual for men to think and to say, ‘Many men are slaves because one is an oppressor; let us hate the oppressor.’ Now, however, there is among an increasing few a tendency to reverse this judgment, and to say, ‘One man is an oppressor because many are slaves; let us despise the slaves.’ The truth is that oppressor and slave are cooperators in ignorance, and, while seeming to afflict each other, are in reality afflicting themselves. A perfect Knowledge perceives the action of law in the weakness of the oppressed and the misapplied power of the oppressor; a perfect Love, seeing the suffering that both states entail, condemns neither; a perfect Compassion embraces both oppressor and oppressed.
He who has conquered weakness, and has put away all selfish thoughts, belongs neither to oppressor nor oppressed. He is free.
Moving On Up a Little Higher 
Interesting indeed, specially the concept of putting away selfish thoughts. Why? Because then you are not introverted and effect of others around you, nor fighting them either; rather find yourself extroverted and creating the moment and thus, free.
Big words, didn’t help the slaves much in history, I want to believe those profound words and in the clips I posted with Hubbard talking about hypnotism he talks about the psychiatrist enslavinfg many intelligences so that he himself becomes a slave to them.
But nevertheless fine words

Has it ever been said before in history that one is slave to one’s lack of knowledge? Knoweldge is one gives one one’s freedom? I guess not! 🙂 But, anyway, I believe people are enslaved by their own ignorance stemming from their own O/W’s. And although many people in this world have tried to seek out and explore the truth with a Church of Scientology as a guide, using the Church of Scientology as a guiding light to one’s freedom is out-ethics in itself and can lead to O/W’s. Who needs that? 🙂 All you need is the tech and it’s good for the duration! 🙂

And Marty, one thing that I changed in myself after reading the Stephen Mitchell translation of the Tao that you recommended on your blog some years ago was recognizing and being in the moment with, “When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.”
As time has gone on, I have gotten better and better at recalling that tenet before acting – and recognizing where an act is not necessary.
As you and Mosey embark on this new adventure, all I can say is that that one piece of wisdom is worth more than any library full of volumes on the subject of child rearing.

The concept of “pull it in” that is in Scientology is true. But abusers, being abusers, even use this truth to abuse: “You pulled it in!!!!!”, as a shame and blame dig.
We, as energetic beings magnetize to ourselves circumstances and people to fit into our blue print of learning.
The lessons of the abuser and the abused are different.
For the abuser, the lesson is to stop hurting people. And the realization that there is something inherently wrong in causing pain.
And the lesson for the abused is to have enough self respect to refuse being abused. In a word the lesson for the abused is: boundaries.
Well defined boundaries that are self created. Personal respect boundaries.

Some of the doctrines of Scientology(L Ron Hubbard) are tailor made to be used by abusers. They give a religious justification for abuse.
If L Ron Hubbard’s value system had love and sacrifice, honesty and humility as the cornerstones of his philosophy, Miscavige could never have taken over because his behavior would not be church sanctioned. In Scientology power and money are the ideals. They were Ron’s.
Ron argued against love and humility as rational when you take into acount Tibet in a tape called “the last OT” or something like that. Maybe it was the Whole Track tapes. In this tape he basically defaulted to force as the answer sometimes. And although that may be true when dealing with certain mentalities, his paranoia and persecution complex tool it a bit far.
To bad he never considered Gandhi as a model of power. Gandhi kicked the crap out of the English with real power.
The abuser and the abused are ultimately children of God playing certain karmic roles in this cosmic school house.
Somewhere along the line I stopped putting myself in abusive situations. It a self respect thing. When we are tired of suffering, we work to extricate ourselves from it. We are worthy of happy lives.

Both the oppressor and the oppressed are motivated by F.E.A.R (False Evidence Appearing Real). The “perfect Love” this “precious pearl” referred to, is the antidote. For “…..perfect love casts out fear …..” 1John 4:18, and where there is perfect love there is no condemnation.

Coincidentally, I just purchased this book last week. Read it a few days ago. Although first published in 1910, there are many concepts that rang true to me. By the way, my sincere congratulations to all three of you! William is a beautiful child! Very happy news!

This is beautifully put. I am going to have to add that book to my list of must reads. I just finished Hardcore Zen by Brad Warner. I think you would dig his writing a lot. He has 6 books total and I am feverishly working to get through them all. Zen is working well for me in helping to unshackle myself from the past and from Scientology. It is a slow, arduous process. Thank you for putting this blog here and helping with that process!

Marty, this post of yours featuring an excerpt from James Allen’s, As A Man Thinketh, is…as so often is the case…yet another positive synchronicity for me. Inspired by my communion with marildi on your post Siddhartha a while back, I was prompted (from within) to begin, after a long abcense, writing and posting blogs on a local ‘community online’ website. The subject matter being the ‘Fort Smith Experience.’ Experience that is ALWAYS preceded by choice. Of course, when one begins to address choice you cannot not address the artificial constructs of belief systems (both conscious and unconscious) that any choice is connected to. Anyway, I’m having lots of fun in writing what has become a blog series (now on part 5) and when I read what James Allen is saying in his book with regard to this series….well, the phrase ‘kindred spirit’ comes to mind.
Also, and this synchronicity is now more expected than not, today’s lesson in A Course in Miracles (lesson #325) is just another voice from the choir chiming in on this subject of thought being the source of experience. Here it is in part:
“This is salvation’s keynote: What I see reflects a process in my mind, which starts with my idea of what I want. From there, the mind makes up an image of the thing the mind desires, judges valuable, and therefore seeks to find. These images are then projected outward, looked upon, esteemed as real and guarded as one’s own. From insane wishes comes an insane world. From judgment comes a world condemned. And from forgiving thoughts a gentle world comes forth, with mercy for the holy Son of God, to offer him a kindly home where he can rest a while before he journeys on, and help his brothers walk ahead with him, and find the way to Heaven and to God.”
By the way, just as an FYI sort of thing….I recently subscribed to a website called Audio Enlightenment (audioenlightenment.com) where many, if not all, of James Allen’s works are available to listen to. There are also many other authors’ works available as well. The first book that I have started listening to, and I am finding it very interesting, is titled: Christ Returns: Speaks His Truth. The book is nine letters and 16 articles that supposedly come from Jesus wherein he tells what really happened to/with him. This book is also available on YT.

I just read Tony’s blog with Jefferson Hawkin’s review of “Responsibility of Leaders” as it relates to ethics.
Jefferson relates how Bolivar is DM’s fav writing. He even sent bound copies of Bolivar to celebs.
Herein lies proof of what I said regarding Scientology supporting abusive behavior.
Only I think I would use the word violent behavior.
L Ron Hubbard sanctioned violent behavior. That is why Scientology is dangerous. That is why there is so much violence in Scientology.
Ron is Source of the violence.
But first the escape from abuse. A wise man said, “don’t preach God to a hungry man, give him food.”
And when a person is safe, then it is time for spiritula practice.
BTW Vinaire, I had one of the most amazing experiences practicing mindfulness in the desert this last August. It gave me a tool that I always use. Such a powerful practice. Being the witness is such a relief to all the crazy noise of the mind and world.

In Ron’s own words from The Responsibility of Leaders:

Think over this one and then consider the level of violence and inhumanity that has been sanctioned by Ron.
It is my opinion that Ron perceived in Miscavige a “willing hound.”
And then he praises the bravery of viciousness.
Take that one into some critical analysis. Just stay on that one for a little while.
Ever conceive of the fact that you’ve been considered a “willing hound” fighting the shadows of an one man’s unbalanced mind.
It seems that most of the people I know, myself included, are or have been slaves mostly to their own decisions. Decisions about data; authorities; advisors; loves; hates; plans; actions; reactions and desires.
One of my PCs recently sat pondering for several minutes while his TA floated. Eventually he looked up and me and declared “I decide to react in an aberrated way or not. It really is absolutely my cause whichever I decide and I truly am the one who decides.”
We gently ended the session.
Can you tell me in your comment posted about violence and why you think
Hubbard being the reason violence was in Scientology is justified.

Yes Hadley, I’d be happy to share my thoughts and the process at arriving at my conclusion.
Over at Tony Ortega’s blog today, Jefferson Hawkins is commenting the ethics tech of keeping power and protecting power. The Power formula and it’s locked in relation with Ron’s essay “The Responsibility of Leaders.” Or Simon Bolivar. Jefferson knowing DM relates that it is DM’s favorite essay by Ron. DM even had bound copies handed out to celebs.
Lets take one line of Ron’s essay, commentary on Bolivar and how Ron considered Bolivar failed because he did not use people for certain things:
“He (Bolivar) feared their blunders. So he did not dare unleash his many willing hounds…It is a frightening level of bravery to use men you know can be cruel, vicious and incompetent.” end quote
Ron wrote Bolivar for one reason. To teach his disciples how to protect him/Ron. In this small idea above, Ron is saying to unleash hounds. What do you do to release hounds. You hunt something down and kill it or put it behind bars.
In the above statement by Ron, he is praising the bravery of viscousness to accomplish the goal of keeping power. Who’s power? His power.
Think about Paulette Cooper and Ron Orchestrating Operation Freakout.
DM’s favorite essay by Ron………. and how is DM?- completely viscous. Marty and Mike were both their willing hounds as well as any person from the GO to ASA who set out to harm human beings to protect Hubbard from the law and from his own shadows.
Children in chain lockers, over boarding and in some cases a broken arm, a man rolling a peanut around on the wooden deck of the Apollo with every one looking on and Ron watching. The man’s nose was bleeding.
Ordering DM to spit in someone’s face. Ordering DM to have someone beat up, held and punch by DM.
Teachers teach and students learn. And the proof of a lesson well learned is mastering what the teacher knows.
The Old Man saw a willing hound in DM. He chose him because he saw someone who could be viscous and incompetent, just like Ron’s description in that sentence above.

Sometimes I feel sorry for Mary Sue. In Bolivar he instructs her how to keep him safe. She was loyal to the end, and he used her up and through her away to the Sea Org thugs.

They are there now for the reading. The fangs of the beast are being removed. And the willing hounds are on our side now. Thank God!! LOLOLOL

Firstly, huge congratulations on the birth of your son. As a father myself I can tell you your whole world is about to change – for the better.
There is a big media story in the UK at the moment about three women who have escaped thirty years of “slavery” – some are calling them the Lambeth Slaves if you want to Google it.
It would appear the women were free to come and go to a limited extent, and could use the phone from time to time, but had been manipulated to remain in domestic slavery. In the end they watched a TV programme which helped them realise they were in fact slaves, and phoned a charity to help them escape, although no physical escape was required, they were just terrified of leaving. The local police were understanding of the situation and helped with the “escape”.
This has been a big story in the UK all week. People can’t understand how someone could be domestically enslaved for so long, right under the noses of the local residents. The charity and the police were concerned that even if they “rescued” these people, that given their level of “brainwashing” they might ask to go back. However, they have had access to skilled counsellors and with the help of the experienced charity workers they are safe and well and the two people who had held them against their will have been arrested.
I’ve been shaking my head at all this, given the HUNDREDS in the same situation in the Sea Org, who are deliberately refused access to the real world so they never have the cognition that they are in reality, slaves.
Well Congrats!!! So happy for both of you and that baby is lucky to have 2 amazing parents. Good luck to the two of you. If you need any clothes. diapers or anything please don’t hesitate. I have two of my own and boys are the best. A handful but the best. You are on the biggest adventure of your life now Marty and Mosey. Welcome to parenthood. Marty, Some time back I started feeling sorrow and compassion for the oppressed and particularly the oppressors, especially THE HEAD OPPRESSOR. This was after, of course, I did what I had to do to free my son from the oppressors! I wondered at the time if I had fallen into some sort of complacency. The Only Valid Security Check
Policy Letter May 22, 1961 (Amends all existing data on Security Checks)
Since a Security Check failure can compromise or injure a person’s position or economics, and because we are not moralists, it is better to be more positive on the subject of a Security Check failure, leaving no part of it up to judgment.
The question of what constitutes a Security Check failure has now troubled enough people to make it necessary to lay down the following policies.
A Security Check to be used for any organizational reason must be made on a Hubbard Communications Office World Wide form.
There are only three ways a Security Checker may flunk any person.
The Security Check may be considered flunked if there is no needle response of any kind to any question with meter sensitivity even at extreme high. Rise as a reaction is ignored throughout a Security Check. A rise is not a useful reaction.
The Security Check may be considered flunked if any compromising or important question still persists in getting a consistent reaction (not a rise) even after the Security Checker has done his best to get the person being checked to clear it by answering truthfully.
Refusal to be checked.
Lie reaction failure may no longer be considered a flunk. Important questions always have enough charge on them to cause a reaction even on bad criminals and the reaction will continue consistently or sporadically if the person is still withholding information.
The question of something reacting because of past life crimes is ruled out it, when a question fails to clear, the Security Checker adds “In this lifetime?” to or in the question and works on that question continuing to use that added phrase. Reactions by reason of past lives tend to drop out and clear if this is done.
The task of the Security Checker is to carefully question and clear if possible changes of meter needle behaviour caused by the question. Plainly note any level that failed to clear. This fails the person.
The lie reaction questions were originally used in Scientology only to study the needle pattern of the person being checked so that changes in it could then be judged in their rue light. Some preclears, for instance, get a slight reaction every time any question is asked. Some get a reaction only when there is heavy charge. Both can be Security Checked by studying the common pattern of the needle demonstrated in asking the Lie Reaction questions. The purpose of the Lie Reaction questions is returned to the original intention.
A totally stuck needle can be freed by processing, or by getting off withholds. If a person is flunked by reason of 1. above, they require auditing before another check is taken, the auditing to be taken at the responsibility of the person being checked.
All Security Check sheets of persons Security Checked should be forwarded to Saint Hill, complete with all markings and the reason why the question would not at first clear, if important, or the drop marked which would not clear and whether or not the person was passed or failed.
Nothing in this Policy Letter changes the responsibility of the Director of Training in preventing Scientology from being taught to persons who would use it in violation of the Code of a Scientologists.
In reprinting this check sheet leave all directions as part of every sheet.

Faggot!” Do you get it? 🙂 I finally got it, a little to late to day anything substantial about it, but I got it. 98% Of the people I meet in life have no familiarity with Dianetcs, Scientology or L. Ron Hubbard at all. Would you mind posting any comments you would like to make about this book, now that you’ve finished reading it? I’ve read some parts of it and find it to “ring of truth.” A good example is the following from the above Article 8,:
“…that you THINK and FEEL with the same energy as your world is created from, that your thoughts are electro-magnetic blueprints which eventually externalize as events and things you have either longed for – or greatly feared OR as those things which, good and bad, you have done to others [overt-motivator sequence].”
The above quote aligns with LRH’s description of theta, postulates and the overt-motivator sequence – but expressing it as “electro-magnetic blueprints” puts it more in physics terms, which I believe is the actuality. I have the idea that there are other things in the book that also supplement what LRH discovered – and also add entirely new concepts as well.

I thought it was a perfect metaphor for Black Dianetics, as all that an hypnotic trance is, is the displacing of the source point of control and perceptions from the subject to the operator. Thus the Hypnotist assumes the status of Source point for the person under a trance.

I first listened to the audio version of the book and now I’ve started reading it. With this type of material I actually prefer reading it for myself as to listening to another read it. However, as I’m continually being prompted by what I read to venture off into all manner of excursions into various levels of consciousness, reading the material takes me much, much longer. But, that said, I do seem to get a great deal more out of the material by reading it so the time spent doing so is really irrelevant.
Marildi, when I first got into this material via the audio version, I experienced the aspect of my mental machinery, that is never not comparing one thing or things to another thing or things, shift into high gear. At the top of the list of things for the book to be compared to was the book A Course in Miracles, which is also metaphysical material dictated to a scribe. Now, I have to say that I do recognize that making comparisons is quite possibly the most efficacious device for learning, while seeming to exist in a world of perception, that I have had. However, I have recently begun to notice that where I am now with regards to exploring in consciousness, the constant making of comparisons has lost its effectiveness. Indeed, it is now more of a distraction than it is a help. So, that being the case, I made a conscious effort to suspend all comparisons while I took in this material. Consequently marilidi, I have found the information Jesus has conveyed through “the recorder” (the woman who actually wrote the book), to be remarkable, expanding and enormously useful.

That woman certainly has the capacity to “reach” with her communication! Btw, I read one time that in some language (I think it was one of the Scandinavian languages) the word for “confront” also means “touch.” I found that to be very interesting because when confronting something or someone there is almost a “physical” feeling of touching. Anyway, I was reminded of that and thought it might mean something to you too.

Cat Daddy, I just want to tell you that Diana Hubbard absolutely loved her father, L. Ron Hubbard, and was positively enamored with him,., in her early thirties. She visited Austin, Texas, to do an event and I was appointed as her hostess, chauffeur, etc., and spent many hours with her. She was a very free spirit herself, a very talented entertainer, and I can assure you with all vehemence, that she would not be like this if her father had suppressed her free spirit in any way. She had been a ballerina, could play the piano like a concert pianist, and played such classics as Chopin, etc. She wrote her own music and it was some of the best I have ever heard. She was fun loving, spirited, and wanted to go “kicker dancing”, (country music dancing, much in vogue at the time), but was not allowed to by the then Assistant Guardian for Public Relations, Donnie Webster, who thought it might be a security risk for her.. She desperately wanted to go and I was ready to take her. This after having been up all night before getting her stats up as CS-6, (Commodore’s Staff for Public Divisions), traveling on an airplane, coming to Austin, giving a concert that was delayed by several hours, and then going out with a bunch of Scientologists for dinner, where she laughed, joked and was kind of a prankster, making a mess out of the condiments on the table. She is one of the more free spirits I have ever met, and I know one when I meet one! I cannot imagine her being this way, if L. Ron Hubbard didn’t like the free spirit of children!
She told me that her father, “ever the gentleman”, (her words) had sent her a dozen red roses for Valentine’s Day, (which had just passed), and she told me also that her mother, Mary Sue Hubbard, was an extremely organized lady. She also told me that Ron and Mary Sue, her parents, had met in Austin, Texas “across the street” (her words again, as we were getting in the elevator at the Austin Org at the time, which is across the street from the main part of the University of Texas.) She said Mary Sue was going to school there and her Dad gave lectures there. This was corroborated by another man who came into the Austin Org one day while I was at the reception desk, and asked about L. Ron Hubbard, saying that he had listened to LRH give lectures at the University of Texas, some thirty years earlier!
It was very clear to me that Diana loved and respected her parents very much, and I just want you to know that so that you don’t have any misconceptions.
Additionally, there are many early lectures where LRH talks about the free spirit of little kids, and how they can be more sane than adults. I would love to give you exact references, but it would take me hours and hours to find those references. I know there is one lecture, where he talks about a little kid not being able to watch a football game on TV with his parents more than a few minutes, because he just can’t sit around that long and would rather be in motion! He said this from the perspective of the little kid being active and he was complimentary about him not being a spectator in life; that the little kid would be more inclined to go outside and play football himself! That really resonated with me at the time, because I was a very active little kid, and I could only watch football for a few minutes and then I wanted to go out and play! Later, as an adult I would spend hours and hours watching football with my Dad!
I always enjoy your posts, Cat Daddy, and if you ever come to Texas, I’ll take you and your wife/sweetheart “kicker dancing” and we’ll have some fun!

marildi, just as a side note…For probably the past seven years I have had intervals of being quite prolific with contributing blog posts to the website you visited. Originally I blogged using my full name but problems developed around that so I switched to pseudonym. Blogging on that site in this community has provided me with an incredible classroom both within and without! When I moved back here I sort of took on Fort Smith as my cause. After concluding the city needed to be liberated I was going to step up and lead the liberation. LOL! I was a lone scientologist that was going to confront the suppression I observed in this community and better the conditions for one and all. I was going to accomplish something that was worthy of an IAS Freedom Medal Award. Well…that was the state of mind I was in when I entered this classroom. But did I ever have some things to learn! I was so naive.
I have always been a person who wanted to make things better across my dynamics (one of the reasons why SC had such a strong appeal for me) but working more from a ‘behind the scenes’ vantage point than a position of ‘standing in the spotlight.’ In Mission Fort Smith (that’s what I called it), though, it was necessary that I grab a bit of the spotlight (that’s another story). 🙂
As a being who has had a basic purpose of wanting to make things better, I had a core problem. The core problem was a ‘wrong target.’ I was constantly focusing my intention, attention and effort into the experience. I was attempting to change the experience from within the experience. And that is a wrong target but that is how I approached my personally assigned mission of liberating Fort Smith. Start of class!
In my Fort Smith classroom I have learned that the experience cannot be changed from within the experience. There is no cause and there are no actual ’causes’ to champion in the experience. Experience can only be changed in consciousness and that’s where all the change that seems to occur in experience takes place.
An excerpt from Letter #4 in the Christ Returns, Speaks His Truth book:
“As many of you are aware, you are entering a new phase of world history, during the course of which it will be realized that no longer is the great divide between the wealthy and the poor. The great divide will be in consciousness. The divide will be between those who have been able to find entrance into the higher spiritual consciousness and radiate love and acceptance equally to all – friends and foes – and who make it their goal to radiate Divine Consciousness into every facet of their daily lives – and those who remain encased within their ego-drives, seeking domination of the weak. They may appear to succeed for a while – but eventually they will fail and their suffering in their self-created darkness will be great.”
marildi, as I have been adjusting my consciousness to view everyone I perceive, to be a version of me and have the same interests (adopting a we are all One perspective), as I become more mindful of my propensity for judging others (a default response) and become better at disabling the default response before it occurs, as I become more adept at being able to respond in a loving way, as I learn to forgive without judgment….my life experience is smoothing out to be a joyful and peaceful journey. There are no longer any self created ominous disasters looming within the experience as likely probabilities. This is because the ones that were ‘on my table’ have been removed from my consciousness by me. As for any new ones that surface…they cannot endure Love.
Once again marildi, you have prompted me take yet another path within and have a look around. Thank you. I am most grateful.

Now, I honestly wasn’t meaning to make a comparison :), and it wasn’t a matter of metal machinery going into action; it was just that when I got the concept of your perspective (expressed in brief as the attitude of “we are all One”) I clearly understood how that would enable you to respond in a loving way – and at that point I couldn’t help but think of what I myself have been applying and practicing in recent times to achieve the same end, which happens to be Scientology principles.
It could be simply expressed as TR-0 with the intention and purpose of being pan-determined, which can be quite a challenging “drill” (or “practical”) in life! It takes not only being there and confronting but doing so in the broadest possible sense, along with using one’s whole spectrum of knowledge, which would include specifics about the situation at hand as well as basic principles about life in general (learned mainly in Scientology but elsewhere too). It could be worded as ARC and KRC. And it’s something one can keep getting better at, obviously.
Anyway, thank you in turn for prompting me to “have a look around” and put it into words. Carry on with your loving mission!

marildi, I get what you’re saying about TRO and I very much agree with you. Now…about the subject of comparing (yes, it’s now a subject 🙂 ), there’s much more for me to explore on this. I suspect that my consideration with regards to the process of comparing now being a hindrance is derived from a misperception on my part.

You seem to have overlooked L Ron Hubbard’s abuse of some of his own children: Ron Jr. his son by his first wife, Alexis his daughter by his 2nd wife, or Quentin his son – who committed suicide – by his 3rd wife.
And you seem also to have overlooked L. Ron Hubbard’s abuse of other people’s children: the 1961 Children’s Sec Check, the chain locker on the Royal Scotman, his use of children as servants, and the Children’s RPF.
Hubbard made sure that these abusive behaviors were maintained – even after he was gone – by having these behaviors institutionalized. He made them part of his so called “religion.”
Not a nice thing to do, especially as the nastiness is deceptively wrapped in a cloak of seeming enlightenment and sanity.
The chain locker incident of one one child who spent some time in there before Mary sue took that matter and that incident under her control and had the child removed at once.
Baren Barez was part of that scenario How and why do I know because I was there and was yeoman. to Baron Barez in HCO .at that time the ship was the Royal Scotsman.
The child was known as tiger.and due to risks involved with his behavior
the child was shortly after Both the mother and child were asked to leave
and arrangements made for them to leave.

No, sorry, Hubbard, and his alter-ego Scientology, despite the misleading candy-coating, are abusive, not only to adults, but also to children.
Where were the authorities? You know as well as I that Scientology, as established by Hubbard, was a secretive and insular operation, especially at Sea. The authorities didn’t know.
L. Ron Hubbard spent his last decade in deep hiding because he was the subject of investigations and grand juries, having to do with abuse and with fraud. Mary Sue, his wife, went to federal prison.
Every day, more is unearthed about this secretive operation run by L. Ron Hubbard. And the more that’s unearthed, the worse Hubbard and Scientology looks.

Yet there’s no debating that Hubbard placed children in servitude to himself, using children as servants, sometimes consuming their entire youth. Scientologists regarded that as an honor for the child, but it was a perversion and also child abuse.

In life, there is no percentage when it comes to responsibility. Two or more individuals can be 100% responsible for one occurrence. “To make things go right” whether others consider it your area of control or not. Hubbard didn’t always live by his own words, but they often had workable value. My own standards are the most difficult for me to live up to, but I never stop trying. There are many things he wrote that he should have re-read on a daily basis.

The parents were also responsible; unfortunately the parents were deceived, and brainwashed, members of Hubbard’s cult, who thought that L. Ron Hubbard, using their children as servants, was a high honor.
Here are some of Hubbard words that Hubbard lived by: “PR is overt [advertised]. Intelligence is covert.”
IMO, Hubbard’s Scientology, from its inception, mainly operated like an Intelligence operation [it was covert], with well-meaning [advertised] Scientologists as unwitting dupes, sincerely making promises that their guru, Hubbard, knew could not be kept.

After Googling him I bought his book “As a Man Thinketh” and these two sentences leapt out at me. “A noble and Godlike character is not a thing of favor or chance, but is the natural result of continued effort in right thinking, the effect of long cherished association with Godlike thoughts. An ignoble and bestial character, by the same process, is the result of the continued harboring of grovelling thoughts.”
I recall in the original editions of LRH’s books there would be a list of past wise men that he would credit for being forerunners of his contributions to mans’ understanding. In fact I remember a tape where he suggests challenging psychiatrists as to whether they believed in God
Over the years references to the eighth dynamic have become few and far between, and yet I would have thought that God and Theta are inextricably connected. If God is the creator of everything, ‘God’ by definition must be a no-thing, but that is the definition of theta. Once theta is removed from Scientology all that is left is entheta. Once God is marginalised all that remains is a downward spiral in other words without love understanding becomes “only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal”
