As Jason Beghe noted on Tony Ortega’s blog, overcoming intense, directed negativity is not an exception for stars, it is the rule for those who dare to leave Scientology.
Jason also talks plain truth as to the provenance of the vengeful nature of the Scientology cult.
In my view, the moral of the ongoing story is:
Regain your positivity and contribute to the resurrection of others who are similarly situated. Help one another to gain your own definition.

I think the combination of blows dm has suffered starting with the truth rundown, then Debbie Cook, then Leah Remini, and now the Rathbun lawsuit and the Garcia lawsuit are having the little guy reeling. Of course had he resorted to LRH PR tech, which is pretty good (though not really his), he could have recovered. However, he forgets that these people are no longer under his influence, hence his mafia techniques of intimidation are not working.

The group that prides itself on “help”, absolutely wants those who escape the cult to fail, and as Jason remarked, even to die. The irony is that we thrive and we promote and encourage the success of others. This contrast, which is becoming more apparent with each passing day, will prove to be the “church’s” march into oblivion.

In that short quiet moment with Tony, Leah spoke some very revealing truths. As an ex-int base staff member I can say she is absolutely correct. If someone “blew” from the base (better word would be “escaped,”) they would eventually be announced at a group meeting and it would be explained to us how they were tracked down and how they are doing really badly in whatever way might make sense to us. And they deserved every bit of it that they were experienced. Couldn’t find work, not making money, unhappy…whatever they did though certainly had to be more that the $2,500 or so we’d make a YEAR. And no one at the base could realize that they WERE much happier being out of that negative, manipulative and demeaning environment–no matter what else was happening to them.
Leah has the whole crowd, and no doubt the entire TV audience, rooting for her and rooting against the Bad Evil Church. She’s winning that one by 110%. Plus she don’t dance half bad either! 🙂

Leah! You are my hero!! It is incredibly brave for her to get out there on DWTS as a new dancer. And she is Florishing and Prospering in the wake of the Suppression from The Church. So well done. Great that she is communicating about what happened. But not in any annoying, over the top way. She is real and people see it. And people love her, as they should. I remember once night, blowing from one of the higher orgs from some insanity and just going out into the city. I was a mess. But, a street musician i knew was playing that night, lots of people around. I went into a coffee shop and ordered hot chocolate and the waiter gave me a refill. I felt safe, loved, comfortable. People are wonderful out here in the “wog” world.
There was a time when thuggery, punishments and escalating punishments were done on Sea Org members for whom escape was difficult. Then it trickled down to non Sea Org staff in the Orgs. Finally, it was occurring on *PUBLIC*. Held against will at Flag, punishments and threats hurled at them in increasing intensity. Leah Remini, even with Celebrity Status was given a procedure given to those in the dreaded Gulag “RPF” Rehabilitation Project Force “The Truth Rundown.”
Leah Remini was quoted in the Huffington Post an New York Post of stating she endured “5 years of interrogations”. In Scientology Inc. stating something against the party line labels you as “disaffected” “a black propagandist” and the “treatment” is the “Truth Rundown” which can be ongoing for months, if not a year or 2. I agree and want to add: watch out for “ex’s” who haven’t really left yet, even though their body has exited the Cof$.
Every now and then I run into an “ex” who is so deeply trained in abusive, manipulative Scientology tech, they will run you over in their pursuit of bossiness, and use and all inval/eval necessary to get you to do what they want, which always serves their own agenda.

When I was in Scientology, there was a staff member who was caught giving “squirrels” information from the incomm system..Thumbs up mate…anyway he was declared and we all had to have an emergency meeting…In that meeting it was drummed into us on how he was going to go down the dwindling spiral and how he deserved it….about 2 years later someone on staff told us that he had seen the guy (john) on a park bench homeless and failing in life…This caused another meeting where we were all told “that is what happens when you don’t do Scientology”….It was like they were electrified by it. I didn’t really believe it but it did scare me a little at the time….moving forward to not long before I left and I saw John…WOW!!..Healthy and fantastic. So that staff member had full on lied to us…how surprising!……I intentionally leave my facebook page on public so anyone that might look from the church can see I am alive and well. Love the way Leah Remini is so keeping it in the news, wish we had DWTS america here, then more Aussies would see it.

It’s great to be alive, great to have such a wonderful community and a privilege to help.
That’s OK. Everyone deals with their experience in their own time, and every experience is individual. Life will show them what is needed and wanted. And at some point they will reach for change and healing, or seek refuge in a new indy group to re-enact it all. It is their choice.
I am very Happy for Leah. She seems to be a lovely person, and so full of life. I wish her healing and loads of joy!

The Oracle, you wrote that now it is illegal to study Scn Basics in your own home and must and have to go to a Scn church to read it. When did this change happen? So does that mean that they are no longer letting people do the extension courses for their Basics study? Extension courses were done at home and you either email or mail in your answers to the Sup who reads them and scores your answers and sends you back your grade. Is that not done now?
Late viewing this as I have been on holiday and just got home. Leah Remini – bless her heart. She’s not all that famous here in England, but I do remember the odd episode of King of Queens and her appearance on the John Sweeney documentaries. Poor woman, it sounds like she’s been put through the ringers by DM’s goons 😦 I hope she will be OK, and she really acquitted herself well with her dancing.
