Declaration of Independence from a true friend of LRH

Anybody who has known Sarge for a while understands why I consider him a special friend.  He is the kind of person whom one just enjoys occupying the same space with. It is no wonder LRH considered him a true friend.

DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
My name is Steve Pfauth. I’m known by many other names: Sarge, Rodney, Richard, Alan and Joe, and others. There were times when I wasn’t sure who I was. I did a lot of security/comm stuff for LRH. I am from Michigan. I was as you a seeker of truth and freedom. I went from Michigan to FCDC, where my life as a Scientologist began. I left FCDC for the SO in Nov. 75. I went to Clearwater and was a security guard for LRH at Duneden. When LRH went to California I followed and went to “W’ (winter head quarters). When that went south I went to ‘S’ (summer headquarters) Int. I then went to ‘X’ when Mike and Kima Douglas blew. LRH didn’t just like me, he trusted me. After ‘X’ closed I came back to ‘S’. It was difficult because I had to stay in comm with Pat Broeker for comm relay between Int and LRH. I suggested I leave and go anywhere that I could operate without any hassles. I then became a ‘Rover’.

I was controlled by LRH via Pat. I just had fun! Being directly on LRH’s lines was very hard but I always had fun. After lots of adventures Pat took me to the ranch at Creston. I got there in May of ’83’ to help set things up. I was those “other Scientologists” that Vaughn Young talked about. That was a way to protect me. I was at Creston when LRH dropped the bod. I signed the death cert and the last will. If you don’t believe it look it up on the web. I blew the RPF in Jan of 89. I blow good! Still blown after all these years.

My only problem was leaving my friends behind. I have never met so many wonderful people as the dedicated Scientologists I had the privilege to know. Well, here I am comming to old and new. I would like to support my friends in a mission of truth and freedom. I am not a crusader. I do have to support truth and freedom. Hell, Thats why I joined the church in the first place. I do not like all the LRH bashing. LRH was not perfect. Forget all the PR. The Tech was real and the Tech works. LRH was a genius. How did LRH audit every day without an auditor or CS? Could you do that? Please understand we need to save the Tech. Please discard all the black PR. I got so much case gain, there is no way I can bash source.

Marty and I go way back together. He is going to allow me to post stories on his site. I consider it a privilege. I am going to try to keep my ego out of it and just tell the truth, as difficult as it may be. I need to tell the truth about the last days. I am no longer connected in any way with the current Church of Scientology but I cannot abandon all of LRH’s efforts to help people and clear this planet. Till his death he lived Scientology.

I’m proudly waiting for my “Golden Rod”.

 As many of you might know I have dedicated the past 15 years of my life studying and practicing Scientology as the pure philosophy of L. Ron Hubbard aligned with my desire to help people and to create a sane, happy world. I’m today one of the few Scientologists that has achieved top levels of training and spiritual awareness.

I’m now part of the many Scientologists that have chosen to leave the Church due to Management that I believe to be corrupt (NOTE: I’m officially leaving the Church of David Miscavige, I’m not leaving Scientology. Scientology being the pure technology from Ron Hubbard ONLY). 

I’m today one of the few that has had the courage to openly leave, disconnecting from a Cult that I observed turning a philosophy of freedom into an activity of entrapment called Black Scientology.  I personally witnessed several incidents of injustice, of flagrant lies, extortion, cases where unethical and violent people were protected, where false PR prevailed and where good people were deprived of their rights.

The true Scientology by Ron Hubbard has nothing to do with lies, blackmail, extortion, censorship, human trafficking and racketeering.

L. Ron Hubbard says: 

“I think of (…) Scientologists as the free people.  (…) I don’t expect (…) Scientologists to instantly agree with or seize upon whatever I say. I would be offended if they did and would feel they weren’t free people. Since they are intelligent I expect them to think over what’s said, try it, and if it’s good for them, use it.”

Uncertain about Clear for eternity

This pic signifies that we are back for the time being. I apologize for a number of responses to this post being nuked by hackers.  There were a dozen or so pending when the attack occured.  Since this is a hot topic, apparently affecting many please resend any comments you can easily reconstruct.

Here is the original post in full:

A number of people have come to see me to help sort out arduous, extended mind-games the church has played with them concerning the subject of Clear.

It is quite remarkable that the church has had such success in confusing so many people about a subject that is simplicity itself.

The basic on the chain is the McPherson case. In the summer of 1995 DM personally wrote an extended C/S r-factor to Lisa McPherson that denigrated all Flag tech terminals on her case and falsely declared her as Clear. Apparently having recognized herself she was not experiencing the calm that others had described the state as including, and having lost all faith in anyone beneath the COB himself sorting out what he had declared sorted out, Lisa became increasingly frantic and desperate about what was going on. Within three months Lisa had a psychotic break and died after a seventeen day squirrel Introspection Rundown at Flag.

After McPherson died, Miscavige successfully withheld from even those handling the criminal and civil cases that he in fact had initiated the chain of events leading to her death. Then in his inimitable every-outpoint-is-a-why style of evaluation, DM instituted a number of arbitraries to make the attestation to the state of Clear an engramic episode. He created a pendulum swing whereby it became an increasingly complicated process to attest to Clear.

DM briefed Flag tech terminals and tech and admin staff in a number of SO installations that there was no such thing as past life Clears. He said that all past life Clears had long ago been accounted for. Anyone with much technical training knows how specious and illogical such a claim is. But, for the many staff and public who were caught up in never ending Clear invalidation at the hands of the church, and subject to non-stop propaganda about DM’s immaculate conception, it seemed their confusions about Clear would go on for eternity.

Two people who were directly invalidated by such Miscavige briefings have visited me, had their confusions about Clear sorted out, attested and quite happily moved on.

Another trick perpetrated by DM is to pester those who have already attested to Clear with doubts and never-ending interrogations about their states before allowing them onto OT Levels. He’s got the tech heirarchies at Flag and AO’s programmed to program such people with endless sec checking. It seems the EP of those sec checks is not to have someone certain about Clear, but instead to become “certain” that DM is Source.

Two people who were subjected to that type of treatment visited, were easily sorted out and are now solo auditing their OT levels.

DM has g0ne so far as to redirect public who have been on the OT Levels for some time back onto Dianetics auditing; a high crime of some magnitude. This is particularly suppressive when one considers LRH devised a simple C/S to handle terminatedly anyone who might have gotten onto the OT Levels absent certainty about his or her Clear state.

A bloke who had been put back onto engram running after NOTs visited, the LRH C/S was performed, and he no longer has any doubt or reservation about his Clear state.

If five people thoroughly confused about their Clear states, all of whom sorted out next to instantaneously, could find their way to the middle of nowhere to get resolved – I fairly wonder just how many there are similarly situated within the C of Mestology.

There is no reason to be confused about Clear for eternity.

ARC is sacred

LRH from An Essay On Management (9 January 1951):

He who holds the power of an organization is that person who holds its communication lines and who is a crossroad of communications. Therefore, in a true group, communications and communications lines should be and are sacred. Communication lines are sacred. They have been considered so instinctively since the oldest ages of man. Messengers, heralds and riders have been the object of the greatest care even between combatants on enMEST missions. Priesthoods hold their power through posting or being communication relay points between gods and men. And even most governments consider cults sacred. Communication lines are sacred and who would interrupt or pervert a communication line within a group is entitled to group death – exile. And that usually happens as a natural course of events. Communication lines are sacred. They must not be used as channels of viciousness and entheta. They must not be twisted or perverted. They must not be glutted with many words and little meaning. They must not be severed. They must be established wherever a communication line seems to want to exist or is needed.

Any management of anything can raise tone and efficiency by establishing and maintaining zealously, as a sacred trust, communication lines through all the group and from outside the group into the group and from in the group outside the group.

The most vital lines of a group are not operational lines, although this may appear so to management. They are the theta lines between any theta and the group and the goal maker and the group. Management that tampers with these lines in any way will destroy itself. These actually have tension and explosion in them. It is as inevitable as nightfall that these lines will explode, when tampered with, at the exact point of the tampering. This is a natural law of communication lines.

A line is as dangerous to tamper with as it has truth in its channel. It is safe and even preserving of a line to cut it when it contains entheta. For example when a true line is cut, it charges a little power into the cutter and he has authority for a moment thereby. But it is only the authority of the cut line. If the line is thus made to perish, the cutter loses his authority. If there is much truth in that line, it does not give authority to the cutter, it explodes him.

A group has the right to exile anyone it discovers to be guilty of tampering with any communication line.

A management which will pervert an affinity or sever one may gain a momentary power but the laws here are the same as those relating to communication and an affinity tampered with will lower the tone of a group.

A management which will pervert or suppress a reality, no matter how “reasonable” the act seems, is acting in the direction of the destruction of a group. It is not what management thinks the group or the goal maker should know, it is what is true. A primary function is the discovery and publication, in the briefest form which will admit the whole force of the data, the reality of all existing circumstances, situations and personnel. A management which will hide data, even in the hope of sparing someone’s feelings, is operating toward a decline of the group.

A true group must have a management which deals in affinity, reality and communication and any group is totally within its rights, when a full and reasonable examination discloses management in fault of perverting or cutting ARC, of slaughtering, exiling or suspending that management. ARC is sacred.

Where we are going

DM has sent agents close to me and close to Independent friends, clamoring to find out where we are going.  In myriad ways they try to discern our “strategy.”  It is quite apparent that until and unless someone comes up with an answer that resembles something DM would do (like compete to take over the monopoly, or exact revenge by any means necessary), the agents will continue to be sent in trying to get or even manufacture the answer he wants to hear. Yes, “manufacture.” He’s even had a “cell” contact me about leading an allegedly well organized group to execute a coup d’etat.  Somehow he can’t get it through his head that some folks really just want to free the technology from sinking out of sight with the ship.  I continue to find LRH references that capture my philosophy and that of my best friends. Here’s another:

“I try to look far enough in the future to forecast and predict what might be, so as to not do too many things wrong. You must allow me some percentage. And as I look into the future, I see that we are handling, here, material of a potential control and command over Mankind which must not be permitted at any time to become the monopoly or the tool of the few to the danger and disaster of the many.  And maybe in this I am simply being overly proud, conceited or optomistic. But I would never for a moment step back from the role of being conceited just to be approved of or just to be wrong in a prediction. And I believe that prediction is right.

“And I believe that the freedom of the material which we know and understand is guaranteed only by a lightness of organization, a maximum of people, good training and good, reliable, sound relay of information. And if we can do these things, we will win. But if we can’t do these things, sooner or later the information which we hold will become the property of the untrustworthy few. This I am sure, because it has always happened this way. But that’s no reason it has to keep happening this way. I am not of an inevitable frame of mind.

“I have no illusions about either the unimportance of Scientology or its importance. You see, it’d be very, very easy to get a swollen idea either way. It’d be a very simple thing, you know, to take a look at it and then take an opinion of it, independent of its actuality. Scientology, well understood, is a very powerful thing. Well used, it can do a great deal for the social order and for the individual. Poorly relayed, poorly communicated, monopolized or used exclusively for gain, it could be a very destructive thing.”

     While many want to argue about how and where and by whom Scientology may be used, many of us are out here moving ahead just using it the best way we know how to help improve conditions for ourselves and others.  Everyday we feel like we are doing more good with the subject and more good for our environments than we ever did during our years and decades behind the Wall. 

     Strategy?  To use Scientology to improve conditions by the best means we are individually equiped to do so with; and to help our fellows do the same.

Story of a Squirrel Part II – Black PR and Disconnect

The Mother of all Squirrels is now butchering LRH justice policy and even public relations and external affairs policy. While his henchboy Tommy Davis is out telling media outlets that DISCONNECT has been canceled, DM has Church staff and public applying PR Series 18 – How to Handle Black Propaganda Campaigns while literally coercing DISCONNECTION.  Just as he has reversed Scientology tech to introvert, belittle and control staff and public, he is now reversing policy. In this case, instead of defending against “whispering campaigns” and outright attempts to destroy by making minority group members social pariahs through false propaganda (which LRH accuses the criminal ilk from the very best persons’ set of doing to Scientologists in the PR Series HCO PLs), DM is directing staff and even public to carry out such campaigns against dedicated Scientologists.

DSA Orange County has been busy-bodying all around SoCal on a whispering campaign against Independent New OT VIII Mary Jo Leavitt, spreading rank generalities that are allegedly the basis for a declare which nobody has seen. When that failed to put a dent in Mary Jo’s resolve,  the Church sought to directly split up her family, beginning with attempting to alienate her intelligent and gracious son Greg.  The Church put the screws to the “OT” parents of Greg’s fiance.  The pressure was upped until the fiance was coerced into threatening to disconnect from her future husband. When Greg refused to agree to throw his mother under the bus, the fiance called off the wedding and disconnected from Greg.

Laying waste to a future generation of Mary Jo’s family apparently was not good enough for the DM crowd.

Public Miscavologist Jojo Zawawi was rolled out by the Church after  running a similar disconnect black propaganda campaign against Independent OT VIII Sherry Katz.   After being exposed on this blog for running that dark operation, she found time to attempt to undermine  Mary Jo and Greg. The church’s tactics have gone from cowardly to sub-sniveling.   Jojo joined the fray by recently writing to all of the Facebook friend’s of Greg urging them to disconnect from Greg because he did not comply with ORDERS TO DISCONNECT FROM HIS MOTHER.  Here is is the message verbatim:

“Greg has joined his mother (Mary Jo Leavitt) in leaving our
church. Mary Jo is publicly attacking the church and is being
declared.
I have personally verified this with OSA Int. I recommend you
delete your Facebook friend connection. If you have any questions
on this, you can contact your local DSA / OSA representative.

–JoJo”

Neither Mary Jo nor Sherry Katz have received an official declare order. Yet, dozens of erstwhile friends have disconnected from them based on the Black Propaganda whispering campaign waged against them. Three other close friends of mine have been similarly dealt with; nothing but rumors, black propaganda – and a lot of disconnection. They have heard on the grapevine from now-former associates that they have been declared without receiving anything in writing.  That is a direct violation of a number of Hubbard justice PLs.

DM doesn’t want to issue  written declares because it will expose that he has nothing on these people. All any of them has done is speak up about DM’s escalating attempted cancellation and  nullification of LRH (LRH Policy, LRH Tech, and even the memory of LRH) from his Church. If he issues a declare the recipient is entitled to a comm ev by a panel of his peers  per the Suppressive Acts PL  and DM doesn’t want his closely censored minions being exposed to any of the tomes of evidence of that that the accused possess.

All of the alleged verbal declares though have one thing in common; all recipients have been told he or she is an SP for being connected with an alleged  squirrel.

To Mary Jo, Sherry, Christie, and my other friends whose names will appear here soon: Don’t you ever doubt that you are in better standing with LRH than anyone still pledging allegiance to DM will ever be. If you ever receive that Golden Rod, wear it like a badge of honor. To we in the know, it will always signify that you stood up for LRH by refusing to do precisely what you were accused by the Church of doing.  You refused to remain connected to a squirrel, in fact the mother of all squirrels.

Massachussetts Independent – Ken Urquhart

It is my honor to introduce to you, from the cradle of American Independence, Ken Urquhart:

Hello.

My name is Ken Urquhart and I am an Auditor. Here is some information about my background.

A friend of the family introduced me to scn in 1957, and it has been by far the most important element in my life. My brief scn background is this:

I did basic training the the London HASI in the late fifties and early sixties. In 1963 I started work at Saint Hill and did staff tech courses there. I worked as LRH’s Household Officer, saw him every day, and he would chat to me about many different things — including his current R6 research (which became the Clearing Course). Between 1965 and 1968 I was mostly on LRH Communicator posts at SH or World Wide. LRH called me to the ship in 1968 and soon made me his Personal Communicator. As such I was his principal executive and administrative aide (but had nothing to do with the running of the Guardian’s Office, which was Mary Sue’s hat). Later, he created the post of Staff Captain to take the burden of executive support.
Of course, I closely observed, and learned a very great deal from his operations but what I found most revealing and valuable were his activities as Senior C/S on the ship. Now and then he’d take the crew c/sing into his own hands. When he did that, he liked to have me sit with him. He’d tell me what he observed as he started looking into a folder, what he would then look for, what he’d find, and what he was going to do about it. What struck me most was the infinite kindness he would show towards pc, auditor, and crew c/s, while at the same time remaining loyal to the highest standards of ethics, tech, and admin. It remains a delight to this day to remember experiencing LRH enjoying his great competence as a Senior C/S and the great power of his intention to mold the delivery line into what he saw as the Ideal. I try to carry that kindness into all my sessions and do my best to uphold ethics, tech, and admin as I know them.

In 1978, I moved over into tech delivery, and became a Flag NOTs auditor in early 1980. In 1982 I was the top-performing auditor in the NOTs HGC, averaging over 40 Well Done Auditing Hours a week, with 6 pre-OTs or more on my daily line-up. When David Mayo did a tech mission on the NOTs auditing at Flag, he commended me for “good metering, good TRs, and excellent TR4.” Many of the pre-OTs that came to me had had their NOTs setups in the Class XII HGC. Some of them voiced the opinion that I had to be a Class XII since they found my auditing “so smooth.” Of course, I corrected them, but the error continued into the 80’s and 90’s as I was usually listed amongst the “original Class XII’s” that the Sea Org had kicked out. In pointing out my pre-OTs’ misconception, I mean no disrespect whatever to those great Class XII auditors whom I cannot hope to match.

Since leaving Flag, I have audited at David Mayo’s center at Santa Barbara, then on my own for many years. I have done a lot of different kinds of projects but I enjoy auditing the most. I audit most levels, but not Power Processing or the L’s. I’m happy auditing any level and consider myself a specialist in NOTs and related actions.

I am available for some traveling to clients. I live in Western Massachusetts. I would be happy to be part of a delivery community somewhere but am not making any decisions about that for the moment.

What to do about a tyrant

There  have been some rather incendiary comments of late outlining all sorts of horrible fates that people wish for DM. Some I allowed to let people vent, but some I deleted as they were crossing the line. I note that most of the more vehement cries demand that someone else do something about DM. And those people have yet to even take the square zero step of standing up and being counted.  Why is that important? All of  the power of a tyrant derives from people’s willingness to listen to him. Miscavige knows this all too well. See the following from a 1998 interview  in the St. Pete Times:

“People keep saying, ‘How’d you get power?’ ” Miscavige said. “Nobody gives you power. I’ll tell you what power is. Power in my estimation is if people will listen to you. That’s it.”

I recently listened to the Thought, Emotion and Effort lecture series. LRH makes a very strong case for it being a stupid idea to fight force with force. Even when you are dealing with a tyrant. Read this excerpt for example:

“And, you see, when you have operated oppressively, if you operate oppressively, then it’s much easier to fail because there’s a bunch of causes standing around who want to cause you to be an effect. And the more people you try to effect, the more thoroughly they’re going to try to cause you to be an effect until all of a sudden you cave in. People watch this modus operandi. They say,’Well, if everybody sat down and hated Stalin for fifteen minutes a day he would die. Now we will all play ‘The Girl I Left Behind Me.” It’s not true. Possibly have some modus operandi, if he knew about it, possibly. You might be able to shove that many in. No, the way to fix up Stalin is to invite him on an enormously broad program where everybody’s going to be an effect but then rig it in such a way that he fails. He’ll cave in. That’s the only way he’ll really cave in.” – 19 Nov 1951, Cause and Effect (continued).

Don’t waste your time with fantasizing the dramatization of evil purposes.  Get on with life, help others get on with theirs. Create communities where the subject is no longer monopolized by a suppressive madman.

News from the Mecca of Quickie Grades

Here is the latest from the Mecca of Miscavology:

Hello! I want to share the NEW news to you, that this past week at Flag Oak Cove the Grades completions were highest ever! One couple arrived to Flag last week to get moving on The Bridge, and the husband has completed HRD, ARC Straightwire and is now on Grade 0. The wife completed Grades II and III and is now on Grade IV!!! An elderly lady, who has been stalled on the lower Bridge for several years, started on her Grades 2 weeks ago.  When she was told to come and do her Grades at Flag and that “Yes, you can do your Grades!” – she worked it out to go in session daily and she completed ARC SW, Grade 0, Grades I, Grade II and is now on Grade III – all in a matter of weeks! What are your plans on getting through your Grades and NED?

My answer to the Mecca rep’s question is: I don’t have any plans for getting through Grades and NED, I am already through them. However, my plans for those I am getting through Grades and NED is to ignore the stat push Mecca, and continue to listen to and apply LRH. That includes, but is not limited to, the following three C/S Series references.

“A cognition at lower levels is not necessarily an ability regained. Thirty or forty cognitions on one lower level might add up to (and probably would) the realization that one is free of the whole subject of the level.”

Conviction without wisdom

Some food for thought from LRH:

“Now, the next one is: ‘Does Scientology have any religious conviction?’ Well, again we have the matter of a body of data having an opinion and it doesn’t have an opinion. I know a lot of witch doctors who  make more sense than a lot of priests, and I know a lot of priests that make a lot more sense than a lot of preachers, and I’ve seen the history records and found out that the Roman Empire didn’t kill many Christians. As a matter of fact, in one year, Christians killed more Christians in the city of Alexandria than the Roman Empire executed during all of the existence of the Roman Empire. Yes, one hundred thousand Christians were killed in one year by Christians in Alexandria. Well, that’s because of a conviction without wisdom. Because there must have been some kind of a conviction running counter to some kind of a conviction. And as far as having an opinion of this sort of thing is concerned, you can look on it on the basis of – this demonstrates there must have been real bad ARC around there someplace. But beyond that and the fact that it might be slightly amusing to you as a datum actually means nothing to the body of data.

“So a Scientologist’s political and religious convictions would be those that he held to be true and that he had been trained in. I mean, so he’s trained to be democratic in his viewpoint and he’s trained to be a Protestant. Why, he’s certainly democratic in his viewpoint and a Protestant, unless he sees fit to alter his convictions to some degree or another because a greater wisdom seems to have penetrated those very convictions. But what would he do in that case?  He’d probably simply modify or better his convictions.

“Now, one of the oldest things that was ever given into the training of wise men, that I know of, was simply this: The basic faith in which the individual was trained and the basic political allegiance of the individual must not be tampered with by the order training him. And it was the order itself which laid that down.

“That’s an old, old one. They were training very wise men and that was the first thing that they made sure that they did. They did not tamper with their early religious convictions or their political allegiances – did not tamper with those things.

“If the individual cared to alter these things himself, nobody was going to tell him to or tell him not to. Nobody was even going to vaguely persuade him to. It might be that in the course of his study that he found certain things that men did laughable or confusing or he found certain things that men did remediable, but nobody was standing around trying to lead him in to a higher religious or political conviction.

“And that is the case very much with Scientology – very, very much the case.”
