I detailed how Miscavige practices Reverse Dianetics day in and day out at International Management headquarters; and how Miscavige avoided meeting with me to discuss the ceasing of that practice.
Now, read this quote from Miscavige’s recent 80-page Freedom magazine created to respond to the St Pete Times Truth Rundown series:
“He [Miscavige] personally verified all books and lectures, their contents and their sequence so Scientologists can now study their religion in pure form and chronologically. This project alone represented thousands of hours of Mr. Miscavige’s time in ensuring every word conformed precisely with Mr. Hubbard’s original works by reading and re-reading each manuscript and final book as well as listening to all 2,500 of Mr. Hubbard’s lectures. ”
Please keep this passage in mind as you continue to read. Chris Collbran – a freedom fighting brother – provided me with some research he conducted, demonstrating a very curious edit performed on a Philadelphia Doctorate Course lecture.
The following text is an accurate reproduction of the transcript issued with DM’s re-release of the Philadelphia Doctorate Course lecture of 6 December 1952 Formative State of Scientology, Definition of Logic. The words in bold face appeared in the cassette tape version of the very same lecture available in every Church of Scientology for many years prior to DM’s new edited release (copyrighted 1982). If you have a set of the newly issued DM-edited PDC on CD, you can listen to it for yourself – the bold faced words below have been deleted. If you have the same previously available PDC lecture on cassette you can listen to it too, and the bold face words, lo and behold, are audible.
“You’ll find almost any preclear can be given Creative Processing. And you could get ahold of him and flip the PDH out. That’s interesting, isn’t it? In other words, you can take them out as fast they lay them down.
“Therefore, we really do have the remedy before the assault weapon is produced. Did you ever read poor old George Orwell’s 1984? Yes, yes, that’s wonderful. That would be — could be the palest imagined shadow of what a world would be like under the rule of the secret use of Scientology with no remedy in existence.
“It’s a very simple remedy. And that’s just make sure that the remedy is passed along. That’s all. Don’t hoard it and don’t hold it; and if you ever do use any Black Dianetics, use it on the guy who pulled Scientology out of sight and made it so it wasn’t available. Because he’s the boy who would be electing himself “The New Order.” And we don’t need any more new orders. All those orders, as far as I am concerned, have been filled.”
That is correct, all of the words in bold faced type above have been removed from the CD released lecture and accompanying transcript. And yes, all those words appear in the same lecture previously available on cassette tape and they also appear in the tape’s accompanying transcript (copyright 1982).
I leave it to the reader to come to your own conclusion as to why Miscavige might edit LRH in that fashion.

This is nothing new. Miscavige started doing periodic minor edits on the books after Hubbard’s death in 1986, mainly to expurgate harsh opinions and remarks that might be deemed intolerant or racist. A guy using the name “Safe” did some word-for-word comparisons of early and later editions beginning in late 1998. I know because I sent him a box of old Scientology books from the early 1970s.
Then in mid-1999, OSA somehow got his identity from his ISP (AT&T), and he disappeared due to fear of being Fair Gamed. Were you around for that episode, Marty? I’ll bet Mike Rinder remembers it.
This is dynamite. Well done to Chris Collbran on doing this research – every online Scn should know about this. They may forgive DM all sorts of sins, but NEVER for altering the message of LRH. This, beyond all the other sickening acts of this individual, truly shows him in his rightful colours. He is not stupid, and knows the omitted words would strike a chord with many scientologists. Electing himself “the new order” is EXACTLY what he has done. The Brave New World of DM’s corporate Scientology isn’t just antipathetic to everything LRH stood for, it is 180 degrees in the opposite direction. The result? Less delivery of tech, less field auditors, smaller missions and groups and a public field that dare not speak, or even think, a word out of place.
Personally I think Davy is setting up a “Government Approved” mind control operation. Probably an Mk Ultra subproject of some kind (which we all know according to Sidney Gottlieb was discontinued in ’63, yeah right) or some other project like the ones the Ol’man mentioned in 51 in Science of Survival which were probably Bluebird and Artichoke (neither an animal or a vegetable, unless your discussing the condition the subjects end up in).

Eldon, I am not aware of the incident you mention. I’ll check with some others. Do you know where “Safe’s” work product is now?
I was on staff at a Class V org when the Basics came out. Part of the event was devoted to the technology used to “restore” old audio recordings. If Gold is able to “restore” the recordings as skillfully as demonstrated, then they would be able to remove or change portions of them seamlessly as well. The ability to commit the crime was on full display.

Marty this is terrible for scientology – we need to take it back! Dave needs to be made to resign. This is the smoking gun! This piece of evidence is the tipping point! I’ve been arguing with scientologists about the golden age of tech being squirrel for years and about KSW being thrown out the window and I get told I’m disafected! Damn straight I’m disafected I read KSW and took it seriously – but it is wrong that scientologists now cannot think for themselves! I think they are being mass brainwashed in the events! We must start a movement to get scn back on track.

RJ — thanks for the scholarship. Another great read is Naomi Klein’s The Shock Doctrine. The Dr. Ewan Cameron she details as having done some of the first CIA work on perfecting torture interrogation techniques, is the same fellow who lead some of the first official attacks on Dianetics and LRH. She doesn’t mention that connection, I know that from my own research from back in the day. She documents how interrogation torture has not been used for gleaning information. Instead, it has been used to annihilate political dissent. Precisely the purpose Miscavige uses it for, as Dylan sang in the Hurricane, “they took him to the jail house, where they try to turn a man into a mouse.”

Anonymous a.r.s poster “Safe” had his true identity revealed to
Scientology by AT&T this week.
“They totally betrayed my trust. That the Church of Scientology has
betrayed my trust again is nothing new though. Telecommunications Giant
AT&T gave in to the CofS Management bullies. Now AT&T has opened me up to
being ‘fair gamed’ by the church of Scientology to ruin me utterly if
possible.”

“A law firm affiliated with the Church of Scientology on Monday compelled
AT&T’s Internet service to reveal the name of a subscriber who had been
critical of the church in an online newsgroup. ‘It is terrifyingly easy to
rip off the cover of anonymity,’ said Daniel Leipold, a Santa Ana, Calif.,
attorney who represents the man. Bridge Publications Inc., which publishes
literature for the Church of Scientology, recently took advantage of a
federal law enacted last year – the Digital Millennium Copyright Act –
that allows subpoenas to be issued even without the filing of a suit in
cases involving potential copyright infringement. The man, known only as
‘Safe,’ had posted documents to the alt.religion.scientology newsgroup.
His attorney argues that the postings are protected under ‘fair use’
doctrine because they commented on how ‘suppressive’ some of the church’s
rules are, and then supported that contention by listing 274 ‘crimes’
against the church cited in one of its publications.

Caveat: I Am Not A Lawyer
Larry Brennan’s name comes up as expert with regard to the C of $ corporate structure because *he is the one who designed it*.
One would go to the original engineer of building or other structure to ask questions about design considerations, load-bear capacity, or likely failure conditions and modes. Larry Brennan is the original engineer of corporate C of $, so he is the man to go to for those kind of questions about C of $ corporate structure.
The Veritas IRS conspiracy theory does not take the documented legal facts about the corporate structure and relationships into account. Therefore the conclusions are of the Veritas authors are – at best – erroneous.
The CST corporate By-Laws determine exactly what the legal relationships really are between CST, CSI and RTC are under the law; and that document has been made available on-line by Larry Brennan.
According to the By-Laws, the CST Board of Directors members may be removed and replaced at will by the CST Board of Trustees, whose members may only be Scientology OT’s whom are members in good standing with C of $.
David Miscavige holds the power to determine who is or is not in good standing with C of $, therefore he can remove anybody from the CST Board of Trustees at will, therefore David Miscavige actually controls the CST Board of Directors (on a via).
That is what the corporate documents say.
If you disagree with Larry’s analysis, then have some corporate legal experts do their own analysis and let us know the results. The Veritas site authors are not such persons nor did they have even the tiniest involvement with setting up the C of $ corporate structure.

LRH spoke of creation and the second dynamic in a lecture from 20 Nov 52, Assessment of PC, the Dynamics, Be Do Have.
He says as a fair use quote: People have been hammering at me to get sex as an act differentiated from sex as children. I’ve never quite been able to see why this was, because the truth of the matter is that the creation of one’s own universe gives one the sensation of creation and can have far more joy in creation than the creation of children through the sexual act. There’s an urge in that direction, but it’s the urge toward creation, it is not the urge toward just one sex or something of the sort. This urge toward creation gets all wound up in an act, which is no more and no less than an energy flow. So again, we’re doing with an energy flow. ”
The idea of the second dynamic and creativity is an early one. On the other hand, I never saw any advice or issue cancelling sex and children.

Mike Hobson’s analysis of the CST, RTC, CSI docs and the erroneous conclusions of the Veritas site jibe with my analysis.
CST is described in its docs on the Veritas site as to its structure. Add to this the statement by Sherman Lenske that LRH oversaw these documents as part of his legacy and trusts.
Larry Brennan’s part in all this, as he describes it, rings true.
The actual documents are clear. It is also clear that DM has stymied the whole thing by being a sole dictator and exercising his dictatorship overtly or covertly as Mike points out.

posted the altered PDC tape many times.

In this whole discussion there are orders of importance on re-issues too. NSOL was always a compilation and changed through the years as to which essays were included in it. Tape edits are a part of LRH issues at Gold and they lay out specifics as to what to edit. The edit done on the PDC tape in question is NOT part of those specific items and is a gratuitous alteration of materials. Also on this line and not well broadcast are the changes made to such things as Fast Flow Training. The LRH material on this is gutted presently including the HCOB.
The amount of alteration on important things is one thing, the dispersal of attention by insinuation into the rest of the relatively innocuous items is another. By making lots of small changes in tape edits that LRH called for and continuously doing it, and adding in the myriad re-issues through DM’s reich, he’s able to disperse attention from alterations that are important.
Jim, what do you think of the alteration to OT TR 0?
When I did a TRs course in 1991, OT TR 0 included eyes closed confronting. I have since seen “corrections” to OT TR 0 that remove the confronting! I do not know if this has been fixed in PT, but if not, OT TR 0 has been reduced down to drilling someone on how to sit in a chair comfortably with his or her eyes closed.
My favorite screen play by Trumbo was “Executive Action” starring Burt Lancaster based on Mark Lanes “Rush to Judgement”.

I see your point on revisions however like Fundamentals of Thought which Davy also screwed up as well NSOL was supposed to be predicated on a series of articles written by the Ol’man.
In the case of FOT they were called the Translator’s Series of PABs (issues of basic Scientology concepts that could be translated into any language) and in the case of NSOL a series of Ability Magazine articles that Ron personally chose to put into book form.
Take the case of the Tech Vols in the original TVs HCOBs those written by Ron and BTBs that weren’t written by him (such as most of the Auditor Admin Series) maintained the original color flash and authors while in the newer Tech Vols these are palmed off as HCOBs (even though some BTBs in this series contradict actual HCOBs) creating unnecessary confusion on Tech Lines.
Also in the newer vols the original isn’t kept in its date order and the revision placed in the date it was revised like it is done HCO Mimeo. Instead they just put the revision in its place with no explanation why the original was revised.
These seem like ichy picky minor points but they are not as they can sabotage tech delivery and as you know as a Cram Off raise hell in cramming.
The danger of revising any HCOB, PL or Book is that the revision can at best be unnecessary or worse incorrect. This happened when Mayo revised many HCOBs relating to TRs. In that case we had to go back to the original HCOBs.
Now der Führer is demanding that all originals are to be destroyed which is insane ( or very “sane” if you are a suppressive psychotic bent on destroying Scientology) and Orwellian because there is no way you can now compare the current revision to the original and know if the revision was needed or not or if it completely alters tech which is the life blood of a Scientology Organization. Makes you look at Red on White in a deferent way. In other words it violates the “How to Defeat Verbal Tech Checklist”!
So on one hand I’d agree if it was just a few minor revisions. No big deal. But I feel it is much more than that.

The changes in issues are SUPPOSED to be done according to exact LRH references. To change a BTB to an HCOB without express approval of the single author of HCOBs is in violation of strict LRH policy. The revisions of issues have an exact protocol to follow.
DM has scrapped the protocol. Now, that is one thing. The other, which is way past that is the point you’ve suggested that he’s now destroying originals. I don’t know where you got that datum, but if it has any color of truth to it, this is way past any pale that I thought was uncrossable. He’s actually violating the Trusts of LRH if that is the case.
If you have credible evidence of this, then there are serious and immediate legal issues involved.
It is expressly stated in the Charter and basic documents of the Church of Spiritual Technology, which documents an IRREVOCABLE trust, that mankind, you me and the guy nextdoor, are beneficiaries of the trust establishing CST. If DM is now bent on destroying the gift of the trust, the unsullied, uncorrupted, original works of LRH, then he is in criminal violation to an extent that is ineffable to me right now.
Jim as far as I know the actual originals are still secured by CST , however when Miscavige brought out the basics he ordered the earlier books in the Churches destroyed.
In ’91 when Bridge reissued the Tech Vols all earlier Tech Vols in the Church were destroyed.
This wanton destruction of earlier Scientology materials violates policy on the Qual Library. Yet it was carried out by his idiot minions whenever a new revision came into being.

Thanks for clarifying that. Fortunately, there are plenty of versions of all the books and volumes. When this is all said and done, the LRH policy on the Qual Library will be put into effect. As a Qual terminal myself, I’ll personally pursue this one.

Roving, may I say book burners, went to field auditors to confiscate books. Sometimes even when the field auditor was not at home!

I finally got a hold of the old PDC lectures and transcripts and compared above mentioned parts for myself. I can confirm now that the above mentioned parts have indeed been deleted from the new CD release!
CORRECTION – Any sites etc., that list the alterations of Logic 4, SCN Axiom 3 and especially PDC 20 – should be attributing these disclosures as having been revealed by Virginia McClaughry. She did them in public posts to the newsgroups. More to the point of this blog post – her revelation of the gross alteration to PDC 20 was done 8 or 9 years ago, well before Chris, and is WHY it’s even known by him or anyone to check into it. This was a particularly devastating alteration to the Church of Scientology’s credibility, (not to mention a PR nightmare) from which they have never recovered, and I think she should be commended for this work.
