Ronnie Bell and Personal Integrity

Another Texan! What’s up with Washington, Florida and Cali these days?  And the rest of the world for that matter. By the way, if you haven’t already done so, go to Scientology-cult.com and sign the Indies 500 list.  I think Steve Hall is right – it’ll take just about 500 to mark the final tipping point.  Welcome aboard Ronnie. This write up right here Smokes, with a capital S.  – Marty

Dear friends and family,

I’d like to share something very personal with you.

Scientology is a subject that teaches about, and helps one to attain personal freedom. Anti-social personalities are, of course, threatened by this, and suppress others’ freedom to discover truth for themselves.

“What is true for you is what you have observed yourself. And when you lose that, you have lost everything.

What is personal integrity? Personal integrity is knowing what you know. What you know is what you know and to have the courage to know and say what you have observed. And that is integrity and there is no other integrity.

Of course, we can talk about honor, truth, nobility—all these things as esoteric terms. But I think they would all be covered very well if what we really observed was what we observed, that we took care to observe what we were observing, that we always observed to observe.”

L Ron Hubbard
From the essay “Personal Integrity”

The freedom to observe is part of being a free person. Free people come to their own conclusions by freely making their own observations and investigations. A free person also keeps their own counsel, and selects their own decisions.

You’re certainly intelligent enough to reach your own conclusions about facts you freely investigate.

If you’re commanded to not investigate, is that freedom?

Why would someone bar you with fear of excommunication for the crime of simply observing?

There can be only two reasons:

1) The internet is so dark and evil that your whole being will be swallowed up forever in a paralysis of eternal damnation, if you so much as dare to look.

2) Someone is trying to hide something from you about them.

Relax for a moment and put your TR-0 in. Ask yourself: which of these answers seems more reasonable?

I think that educated Scientologists are smart enough and observant enough to differentiate between harmful third party and reports from honest individuals who are simply revealing what they themselves have observed.

In that spirit, I’d like to say that it’s possible that you may not have granted yourself the right to freely observe and investigate the many hundreds of honest reports about the true scene in our church.

I recently chose to put on my personal integrity hat, and do my own free investigation of these reports.

What I can tell you is that there are more of them than you might imagine. Secondly, the character and worthiness of the individuals making these reports is of the highest order. Many, if not most of these individuals, are highly trained and processed, and most have long careers of service on staff in the Sea Org and Class V orgs. In fact, you probably know many of these people personally.

After months of personal investigation, and comparing the reports of other Scientologists to my own observations of ‘things that should not be’ within our church, I applied the Doubt formula to the situation. My final analysis is that certain suppressive individuals within our church have done great harm to our religion and the third dynamic over the last thirty years. I have chosen to remain in that group who are loyal to LRH and to the Standard Tech of Dianetics and Scientology.

Please see my attached write-up.

In closing, I value you as a friend, and hope that you grant yourself the freedom to make your own observations, and draw your own conclusions about the current state of our church.

It’s very likely that you’ll soon be pushed to disconnect from me because of the position I’ve taken in regards to the church. Just know that LRH canceled the policy of disconnection in 1968 and never re-instated it (see RJ-68). No one has the right to force you to disconnect from anyone. Only you have that right.

Thank you for being there, and for communicating.

ARC,

Ronnie Bell

RONNIE BELL’S WRITE UP

My name is Ronnie Bell. I am now, and will always be a Scientologist.

After about a year of searching, I found Scientology in early 1973, when I was nineteen years of age. I attended a standard Dianetics lecture at the L.A. Org, and routed right onto the Hubbard Apprentice Scientologist (Comm) course. Long story short – that course was run Flag-style, and the incredible wins I experienced made me a Scientologist for life. Although I didn’t do a lot of training after completing the Comm Course, I read most of LRH’s books, did the HQS Course, and an introductory Ethics course, all in my first two years.

Over subsequent years, I completed Life Repair, the Purification Rundown, and the CCRD, as well as many Div 6 courses, and the Student Hat. I paid for OT Preps and Solo 1 at ASHO and AOLA (respectively) in the summer of 2005, and received six weeks of full time auditing at ASHO. That auditing began with my Clear status being de-certified, and went downhill from there. The final results of that auditing were inconclusive. I did not make it to the Solo 1 course.

I also served as a hired staff member in the Sea Org renovations org from 1988, to 1997. I worked on all of the major church projects in that time, including (but not limited to) HGB, LRH Exhibition, Manor Hotel and C.C., Saint Hill Castle, ASI, Flag Land Base, Sandcastle, Super Power building, Coachman, Clearwater Building, and PAC Base renos.

I’ve also worked on many volunteer projects, including the ASHO Central Files project in 1994, where I was the Volunteer I/C.

Since at least the early 1980s, I’ve noted a great many disturbing things occurring within my church. Some of these outpoints have been acute, one-off instances, while others have become chronic, down-trending situations of great magnitude and seriousness. Most of these are of such seriousness, that they’ve become real and present threats to the viability of the Church of Scientology as a group.

These chronic outpoints have grown to such a state of magnitude, that they have caused me a great deal of spiritual distress, resulting in decreased reach for the Bridge, lowered ARC with my natural constituents within the group, feelings of hopelessness about the health and well-being of my religion, and doubt about church management’s ability to correctly apply LRH tech to handle these issues.

Perhaps worst of all, I found that I’d fallen into tacit agreement with the suppressive and unspoken command to not look – not listen, and that I’d cut myself off from any information channel which did not emanate from church management. By doing so, I violated my own Code of Honor, and caused myself to operate in something of a PTS condition in life for many years.

I have recently looked over all of the outpoints with the existing scene in our church, and have given myself permission to become informed of the great number of Knowledge Reports by upstat Scientologists around the globe. Having looked at all of the evidence, and having consulted my own reality on what I’ve personally observed, it’s my conclusion that the corporate church and its officers have violated and degraded the tech of Scientology, and have sunk into lower conditions on the third dynamic.

As they say, ‘what has been seen, cannot be unseen’. Therefore, I have chosen to withdraw my allegiance from the corporate church, and to make it known that I intend to stand with those who remain friends of LRH, and who practice and disseminate the Standard Tech of Scientology, as developed and written by its founder. The following is a partial list of major outpoints within the corporate church that I am personally aware of.

Outpoints and Things That Should Not Be within the Church of Scientology

1. By direct observation, the number of students on major auditor training courses has fallen continuously and precipitously over the last 30 years.

2. Most Int level execs known to the public, have virtually disappeared from public view. In fact, the whole of the Int Exec Strata which was widely known to Scientology public has now become virtually invisible or non-existent. Letters and KRs to individuals, posts, and offices at that level, now routinely go unanswered.

3. Orgs have become more like new car dealerships, than oases of spiritual freedom. Public are often trapped into crush sales situations by staff of every level whenever they venture into an org. This aggressive over-reach on the part of church staff even extends to parishioners’ homes and businesses.

4. HGCs are much quieter and emptier than in decades past. Again, by direct observation.

5. The practice of disconnection is in full use by church officials today, despite the policy being canceled by LRH more than 40 years ago (see RJ 68). This has been attested to by hundreds of Independent Scientologists, whose friends and family members have been coerced into disconnecting from them after they have left the corporate church.

6. Clears and OTs have routinely had their Clear state invalidated on auditing lines for close to a decade. This has apparently been done by executive order, and has no basis in the written technology of LRH. This is a monstrously suppressive act, and has caused untold anguish, hardship, and disaster for thousands of Clears and OTs. Many have been spiritually crashed by this action, including myself.

7. An unwritten rule that parishioners should ‘not look – not listen’ has somehow solidified into a tacit agreement over the last three decades. Scientologist public are often warned by org terminals to ignore widespread reports about the church in the news media and on the internet. This violates a person’s right to freely give and receive communication, per the Code of Honor.

8. As a result of this suppress on Scientologists’ comm lines, most who are actively on lines in the church have no idea of the very real outpoints and failings of church management, both domestically, and internationally.

9. The international church puts on at least four major international events each year, which is a violation of LRH policy on the subject. LRH specifically forbid such gargantuan galas, as they take staff and public away from auditing and training, and drain precious financial resources.

10. All such international events are staged for the primary purpose of crush selling the public on new books and lectures, or for donations to the IAS. This is proven by the fact that public who attend such events are routinely funneled through a physical gauntlet of registrars and high pressure sales people when these events conclude. Church staff are even posted at the exits to force the public into the crush regging area.

11. Donations to the IAS from the Scientology public now number into the hundreds of millions of dollars, but there has been little result shown for such a massive outpouring of support. The public has been told that the IAS is keeping the church safe from outside suppression, but anyone availing themselves of widespread news coverage of the church’s court battles and struggles with governments, can see that this simply isn’t so. For the most part, church parishioners aren’t even dimly aware of what a precarious position the international church is in right now, as regards its reputation and PR with the broad public. In fact, parishioners have almost no awareness of the fact that the corporate church is primarily engaged in legal battles with Scientologists who have dared to speak the truth about gross outpoints, and even crimes they’ve witnessed within the church.

12. The public has been crush regged to donate to many ‘Ideal Org’ projects around the world. They’ve been led to believe that if they provide swank new quarters for their orgs, that they will attract new public, and help to expand the Scientology religion. Neither has occurred. Every such ‘Ideal Org’ is as empty of bodies as they were before their publics set them up in much more expensive digs. Now these orgs are in even worse shape than before, because their monthly building expenses have increased many times over. This program has forced orgs into ‘having to have before they can do’, which is a complete reversal of the natural order of Be – Do – Have. The ‘Ideal Org’ program also violates several LRH advices about procuring real estate for orgs. See HCOPL 23 Sept. 1970 Quarters, Policy Regarding on org premises. See HCOPL 24 February 1964, Issue II Org Programming on demanding donations for buildings.

13. The so-called Super Power Building in Clearwater is a glaring outpoint. It has been under construction for at least 18 years now, and is still not finished or occupied. This has flapped all over City of Clearwater lines for years, and the Flag Service Org has taken a lot of heat from the city about that idle real estate. This has caused inestimable damage to the PR of Scientology, both in Florida, and around the world.

14. Those on OT VII are forced to report to Flag every six months for a ‘check’. As it turns out, this ‘six month check’ is nothing more than a Sec Check, which is not required in the written LRH materials regarding that level. It’s also inspection before the fact, which is expressly forbidden by LRH ethics tech advices. Reportedly, the cost for this service is $10,000 per intensive. Not only is it out-tech, but it’s an absolute rip off of dedicated and upstat public. It is also highly destructive to parishioners’ income production, and family stability.

15. Per widespread reports, 30 of the 54 Class XII auditors ever made, have been declared SP. All 8 of the Class XIIs personally trained by LRH have been declared SPs. It is illogical in the extreme that such a high a percentage of a single group of people, are actually suppressive persons.

16. Most of the first 100 Clears have also been declared, including John McMaster, Clear #1. Again, this is a strong indicator that the true SP is active within the church.

“Now any time you find thirty people on staff being removed because they were suppressive, you know they had the wrong Why, because the percentages are wrong. It’s just as mathematical as that.

If they’ve done that then I can also assure you they’ve left the suppressive on the staff and I can also assure you the guy that did it was suppressive.”

17. The standard floating needle has been redefined by COB, David Miscavige, as a “three swing” needle. This is a squirrel definition of a phenomenon that has been well defined by LRH for well over half a century, and which has been learned and used by thousands upon thousands of successful auditors. Since this squirrel definition has been enforced, auditing times for processes and rundowns of all types has lengthened greatly, and over-runs on processes are now the rule, rather than the exception.

From Friends of LRH.com ~ http://www.friendsoflrh.org/Section2/ :

The contrivance of COB’s interpretation is borne out by the fact that, from the release of the bulletin What Is A Floating Needle in 1978 to the Senior C/S Conference in 1995, there isn’t one known instance of a student or auditor, from Class XII on down, having come to COB’s understanding of F/Ns on their own, despite thousands having word-cleared the definition.

Since this redefinition of F/Ns was first incorporated into the Pro Metering and Solo courses, students have been referred to sources as far-fetched as the Art Series, the Marketing Series, a physics text, and The Encyclopedia of Music, in order to understand it.

LRH’s definition of an F/N, on the other hand, couldn’t be simpler:

“A floating needle is a rhythmic sweep of the dial at a slow, even pace of the needle.

That’s what an F/N is. No other definition is correct.”

18. The so-called “Golden Age of Tech” has turned out to be an enormous invalidation of pre-existing technology developed by LRH. The hundreds of drills and verbatim memorization of materials has resulted in robotic auditors who have little ARC, Understanding, or Duplication, while auditing.

Per LRH:

“The only allowed practical drills on any Scientology course including PE [Personal Efficiency] are:

    1. Modified Comm Course for PE

    2. Original Comm Course TRs 0-4

    3. Original Upper Indoc TRs

    4. E-Meter drills contained in the Book of E-Meter Drills

    5. Dissemination drills when I write and release them.

NO other practical drills of any kind will be permitted.

    Other practical drills are abolished.

Reason: They consume time uselessly, suppress actual processes and mess up data and cases. I did not authorize these drills and have now seen that they teach alter-is of easy processes. They are not needed. They make poor auditors. I have just reviewed this matter thoroughly and have traced several training failures to these wildcat drills. Further, I traced several failed cases on course to them.

Somewhere along the line somebody went mad inventing “drills” and “TRs”.

If this is permitted to continue, we will no longer turn out good auditors. The standard drills as listed above have proven sufficient for years.”

        (OEC Vol. 4, p. 616)

The length of checksheets has also vastly increased over those in use during the true golden age of Scientology (1965 – 1980). There are many tech references by LRH that advise against long checksheets for auditors, and which do advise getting newly trained auditors in the chair and auditing. Per LRH, an auditor learns to audit by auditing – not by endless course study and drilling.

The following is from Friends of LRH.com ~ http://www.friendsoflrh.org/Section2/ :

With the issuance of RTC ED #450, COB announces his revamping of every single auditor course checksheet.

These include the Academy Levels, NED, Grad V, and the Briefing Course.

He also heralds new checksheets for all Div. 6 (Introductory) courses, such as Life Improvement, Dianetic Seminar, Success Through Communication, and HQS.

Finally, he announces the restructuring of all co-audit courses, such as TRs and Objectives, Scientology Drug Rundown, and Method 1.

Each of these checksheets has since been compared to its earlier versions. In almost every case, they were found to be far, far longer — often two to three times or more.

LRH warned of the devastating consequences that overly long checksheets have on training:

“Speedup of HDCs, Class IV, VI, VII, VIII and ‘HGC Auditor’ courses at all orgs, AOs (and SHs) would encourage more students. My time for it is 3 weeks. This was up to 5 and even 11 to 13 weeks at once by illegal checksheet increases.

    …Fast training gets students in.

Slow training messes up the whole field and denies enrollments.”

19. Through deceit, and the suppressive practice of dissuading Scientologists from accessing widely disseminated news and media, church management has caused Scientologists to believe that they are the only source of LRH’s spiritual technology. The vast majority of staff and public within corporate Scientology have no idea that LRH’s technology is widely in use outside the corporate church. There are literally hundreds of Independent Scientology groups and practitioners delivering On Source training and processing outside of the established churches. In fact, it’s been reported by thousands of ex-corporate church members, that these individuals and organizations are delivering far superior results, and are more On Source, than any corporate church orgs. The truth is, the entire Bridge is available outside the corporate church.

20. The corporate church has discontinued measuring their production by the only two stats that LRH considered to be of primary importance. Those are; number of case completions, and number of new auditors graduated. Today, the public is wowed by stats at international events such as, ‘number of new square feet added’, ‘Basic books and lectures sales’, ‘number of people studying the Basics’, ‘number of books translated’, ‘populations of countries where Scientology has taken hold’, etc. All of these are impressive, but they’re simply sub-products of the only stats that count – number of case completions, and number of new auditors made. Unsurprisingly, those two vital statistics are never mentioned at major church events, or in any of the church promotional materials.

“Orgs have only 2 major final valuable products.

One is well-trained auditors. The other is satisfied pcs.”

(OEC Vol. 0, p. 14)

21. A recent comparison of auditor training completions published in church magazines from the mid-70s to the present day, shows a ten-fold decrease in the number of auditor course graduates and major case completions. Despite the glitz and glamor of church magazines, Ideal Org buildings, and international events, the fact is, the corporate church of Scientology is shrinking fast.

From: http://www.friendsoflrh.org/Section2/ ~

“In early 1971, ASHO’s The Auditor magazine, Issue 61, listed the total number of Scientologists who had trained on the Hubbard Standard Dianetics Course (HSDC). This list includes graduates from the course’s initial release in May 1969 to the publication of this magazine less than 2 years later.

Here is a summary:

LA Org                  209 (over 2 a week)

    ASHO                    146 (about 1½ a week)

    San Francisco     88 (1 a week)

    Toronto                83 (1 a week)

    New York            64 (1 every 11 days)

In contrast, completions of the New Era Dianetics (NED) Course — the modern equivalent of the Hubbard Standard Dianetics Course — compiled from 2004 to 2005 revealed the following:

LA Org                  0

    ASHO                    3

    San Francisco     4

    Toronto                0

    New York            2

The number of NED comps for 2006-08 varied slightly from 2004-05, but averaged out roughly the same. Compared to the figures from mid-1969 to early 1971, this represents a decline of 95 to 100%.”

22. By my personal observation and experience, many old timers (those who’ve been in Scientology for 30 years or more) avoid going into the orgs, and many have nearly given up on progressing up the full Bridge this lifetime. In my view, they, like me, have noted most of the outpoints above, and have quietly withdrawn from the church for the most part, because they don’t know how to fix what’s wrong with their church, and are afraid to rock the boat.

From: http://www.friendsoflrh.org/Section2/ ~

When confronted with proof of an unprecedented crash at all levels of training, staff and public often respond with justifications and reasons why. LRH wrote extensively about the mental mechanism behind this phenomenon:

“One often wonders why people are so ‘reasonable’ about intolerable and illogical situations.

The answer is very simple: they cannot recognize outpoints when they see them and so try to make everything seem logical.

The ability to actually see an outpoint for what it is, in itself is an ability to attain some peace of mind.

…The human reaction is to REACT! to an outpoint. And then get ‘reasonable’ and adopt some explanation for it, usually untrue.

You can safely say that ‘being reasonable’ is a symptom of being unable to recognize outpoints for what they are and use them to discover actual situations.”

HCO P/L 30 September 1973 Issue II

    Data Series 30, Situation Finding

    (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 128)

“A lot of people are on a stuck flow of being sensible and sane — and that winds up in stupidity. So they get reasonable. Their confront of evil isn’t up to it — basically, their confront of outpoints.”

HCO P/L 18 March 1977RA

Data Series 43RA, Evaluation and Programs

    (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 167)

23. The corporate church has priced Scientology services far out of reach for the average man and woman. LRH references exist wherein he goes into detail about how to properly price auditing and training, so that the vast majority of public can realistically afford it. Per LRH, services should be priced within reach of the lower middle class. That is certainly NOT the case with today’s prices for services, which can only be realistically reached by those in the upper middle class or higher. This is a suppressive act, as it puts Scientology auditing and training out of reach for most people.

Prices should be set according to HCOPL 23 Sept 1964 which is actually based on “the average lower class of lower middle class pay scale.” Such is clearly not the case today, where it costs upwards of $29,000 to become an auditor in a Class V Org, if one is an IAS member. This is more than half a year’s salary at the U.S. median income. In fact, that figure represents 100% annual salary for the average lower class of the lower middle class today.

In Summary

I can no longer ignore that which is clearly right in front of my eyes. I have not-ised the many outpoints I have seen within the church for over two decades now, and have paid dearly for my non-confront of evil and my tacit agreement with the fallen state of my church.

I have taken the time to make my own evaluations of the hundreds of reports written by upstat Scientologists outside the corporate church, and have found them to be not only credible, but solidly backed up by LRH advices, policy, and tech. Most of what I’ve read is also consistent with my personal observations, experience, and reality.

The overwhelming body of evidence to hand proves to me that the Church of Scientology has been taken over and transformed into a dictatorship by one David Miscavige, and that he has turned it into his personal fiefdom. Voluminous testimony by scores of formerly well-respected, highly placed officers of the Church, tells a sordid tale of betrayal, violence, illegal acts, manipulation, suppression, lies, alterations, and outright destruction of the Church hierarchy by this one man.

It is abundantly clear to me, that this one man has quietly been destroying all that LRH, the Sea Org, and dedicated staffs built, in the 30 years before he wrested control away from the duly appointed officers of the Church. He is the primary driver of every outpoint listed in my write-up above.

“So we can assume that people who are a bit inclined to malign, knock apart and shoot the human race, and have that as their only goal, can get into Scientology and can remove things from the technical line, or pervert or alter things in the technical line, which then makes Scientology unworkable.”

“And the higher on a command line the power is drawn from, the wider area the alter-is covers.”

Until David Miscavige is brought to justice, and removed from his position of corporate control over the Church of Scientology International, I consider the corporate church and all who remain connected to it, to be PTS, and in lower conditions.

I hereby assign COB, David Miscavige the condition of Treason.

Resignation

In the By-laws of the Church of Spiritual Technology, LRH differentiates between the RELIGION of Scientology and the CHURCH of Scientology. He EXPLICITLY says that the RELIGION of Scientology and the CHURCH are not necessarily “co-terminal.”

Exact quote:

“Religion of Scientology” and “Church of Scientology” shall not necessarily be coterminal.” http://www.savescientology.com/cstbylaws.pdf

In light of the above, and the contents of this write-up, I now formally resign from the Church of Scientology and hereby declare myself to be an Independent Scientologist.

I’ve examined the stats of the corporate Church of Scientology, versus the stats of those upstat Scientologists who have been falsely declared and banished from their religion, and have found in favor of the banished. I now declare my allegiance to those who remain friends of LRH and the true technology of Dianetics and Scientology.

Thank you, Cindy. I was trying to measure up to many of the other statements I’ve read by fellow Scientologists on this site and elsewhere. When in such stellar company, it behooves one to do their very best.

That statement by LRH where he differentiates between the the Religion of Scientology and the Church of Scientology is powerful and basic, isn’t it? I remember making that distinction to my mom 30 years ago when she was upset with some org terminals. I’m sure lots of others have, too. Glad to see an LRH reference on that very thing.

  6. Ronnie welcome to the group!

Hello Ronnie Bell, truth rings in your write-up. I’m going to use it to help someone over their hump if that’s ok with you?

  15. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! If that’s not a Tone 40 Doubt Formula, than such does not exist! If only every Scientologist could read and duplicate THIS…..
    Thank you Ronnie

There have been many fine write ups posted that list the outpoints and crimes of Miscavige and radical corporate Scientology. They were so well written I really didn’t think anyone could improve upon them. I was mistaken. Ronnie, this write is fashioned phenomenally well. Your logic and use of source is flawless.

  17. WOW!
My word… You are the MAN!
NO one has yet said it so well as you have so truthfully, technically, and skillfully spoken the truth here today.

Ronnie, I’ve called you my Friend before. You are hereby promoted to Hero!

You need anything… Call me. I’ll make it happen. You truly Rock!

  18. Ronnie Bell

Much appreciated, Christie. I hope my write-up helps someone to come into the light, just as others have done for me.

  19. Ronnie
You’ve clearly taken some considerable time to carefully examine the evidence available to you and form your own conclusions in alignment with your integrity in relation to the oorporate CoS.

To what extent have you had the opportunity to carefully review and form conclusions on the following, from the vast body of material available on LRH himself:

    1. fact and fiction re LRH
    2. strengths and weaknesses of LRH
    3. claims of human rights abuses perpetrated by LRH
    4. relevance or irrelevance of outcomes of 1, 2 and 3 to Scientology’s potential to benefit humanity

  20. Ronnie Bell

    Hi Dan,
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, the family and I have been in Texas since early 2006, so I’m not surprised that I seem to have been M.I.A. 😉

  21. Ronnie Bell

…truth rings in your write-up. I’m going to use it to help someone over their hump if that’s ok with you?

Absolutely! The embedded links to Friends of LRH.com are extremely helpful. I got more data from there than I could put into my write-up.

  22. Thank you Ronnie Bell. I hope I don’t sound too mawkish or sentimental, but I sense a group of true heroes forming here. The stuff of great story, the quest for true spiritual freedom with character, ethics and integrity as the banner.

What is possible from this gathering storm is limitless.

Hey, thanks Miscavige! What would a hero be without a great nemesis! Your darkness has inspired an army of gathering light. Keep up the good world ole’ boy. Lol :-))))

Your ignorance has single handedly invited people to “Moving On Up A Little Higher.”

Marty, maybe you should give Misacavige the credit. The poor thing has worked so hard to be so repulsive that this little band of truth seeking Scientologists has been finding each other. How sweet of him. 🙂

Sweet poetry, your enegmatic ways enchant me.

  23. Ronnie, your write-up is very thorough and well backed by the research of appropriate references, the logic is without fault. Welcome to the Indies!
I did the HSDC before NED came out but am amazed at your comparison of the numbers of Dianetic Auditors then and now.

  24. Ronnie Bell

If only every Scientologist could read and duplicate THIS…..

Thank you, G. I also wish for more of our brethren to avail themselves of the mass of information and clear-headed analysis that exists in abundance on this site and others. The truth here is blowing holes in all sorts of lies and suppression.

  25. Michael Fairman

    Ronnie
Your declaration needs to be nailed to the Church door. It encompasses everything that has gone wrong due to the current leadership. A magnificent write-up! Welcome to the world of free beings.

  26. Ronnie Bell

Haydn, you humble me with that praise. I just hoped that it measured up when I wrote it. Thank you.

It’s my wish that hundreds of thousands of Scientologists who still live under the shadow of suppression, avail themselves of the vast body of personal testimony and excellent analysis here and elsewhere.

  27. Ronnie Bell

Oh, my goodness. I’m seriously blushing now (and that’s hard to do for me! LOL)

Thanks, Boz. It’s so good to see you here. My brother in Truth.

  28. A true masterpiece!!! I’m speechless actually.

Thank you for your integrity to stand up with all of us. This group on the outside is a phenomenal group of beings and you’ll be proud to have joined it.
On another note, personally, I have experienced a blossoming of my life since leaving the true source of suppression!! Our family is finally flourishing and prospering, and we have never been happier, save for the tears of being disconnected from my now 21 year old son. We miss him so badly and if more people would stand up we could end this true suppression. Thank you my new friend!

    Meshell

  29. Ronnie Bell

You betcha, Tom. As an old hand, I recognize the look and feel of “Ron’s style”, and it’s in abundance on Marty’s site. Thanks for the welcome.

  30. I concur. Haydn is right. Ronnie, this was cogent, point per point, and it covered all the bases. You clearly did your research and your conclusion match the data you gathered from LRH policy and tech. It matches what I have observed for myself. Don’t be too hard on yourself for missing it earlier or failing to act. But here we are now. We observe what we observe. Let’s move on up a little higher.
Hope to meet you this summer.

  31. Welcome to the real world Ronnie Bell. Gratz on waking up. Hope you enjoy your stay. May you inspire those around you to wake up too.

  32. Fabulous write up! Pure reason. Welcome to the Independent Movement! We don’t bark, and we don’t bite!

  33. Wow Ronnie – that was one hell of a write-up!!!

I’m very glad you’re among us! You made some very astute observations and laid out some differentiations which haven’t been touched upon much and for that extensive research and well-written information I thank you!

    Cheers, Ulf

  34. Excellent Ronnie! Your write-up will help me and others. You have really written it up so well, Perfect. Hope you don’t mind me using some of it.
Welcome, now you are in a truly good place. I am happy for you. Please let us know what, if any, response you get from your friends. Thanks.

  35. Glad to meet you, Ronnie! Will meet you in person at the Indie Party this year.

Today we had to explain to some people from a government office why one of our employees had left. We wound up admitting that we’d all belonged to the same “church” and when we dropped out, she was forced to stop talking to us. No one used the name of the church in this meeting but they all knew what was meant. Miscavage is getting his product!

  36. Hello Ronnie.
Congratulations and thank you for the additional data I’ve found in your write up.
Enjoy your Religion outside the Church!

    Love,
    SKM

  37. Ronnie Bell ~~
Thank you for this very carefully thought out write up which covers so much.
Many lurk on this site and you have clearly pointed out issues which will help many.
Warm welcome to this blog. ♥♥♥♥

  38. Chad Braunersrither

I’m not sure if Kirk is out or not, he didn’t care that I was out when we spoke several years ago.

  39. Chad Braunersrither

Meg, Teresa and Jeff L. Havent cut me off as friends on Facebook and have liked some of my statuses although we rarely talk.

  40. Another OPERATING THETAN. Independent thought, decision and action. Excellent write-up!!! It IS better out than in!

  41. Oh wow! I just blew some major charge reading your write up! Nice to meet ya!
I was reminded that I did each of my levels in check sheet time, which averaged 2-3 weeks each and my class 4 internship in 1 month at AOLA. I audited any and everybody, new & old, on every possible action below NED. Tough, but amazing ly smooth at the same time.
    So, that’s approximately 17 weeks… (I went on through grad 5

  42. An excellent and carefully crafted piece – I am impressed.
This will help another wave of people to see more clearly.
You have found some refs that I hadn’t seen before – ones that are exactly relevant to the PT scene. Very well done!

  43. Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense in Scientology, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in OSA/RTC confiscated Life Histories and a confusing melee of sec checks called his birth date to be reading as incorrect.

Common Sense in Scientology, lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (do not breach your own Code of Honor and violate your personal integrity).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing and unrelenting DEMANDS were set in place. Report for 6 months Sec checks to find his crimes, demand to maximize credit cards on every visit to an Org, even pleas from the Captain of the Org to “Help us out” when it meant coughing up another $50,000 for IAS.

Common Sense in Scientology lost ground when Sec Checks for “Ellig” lasted one year at a time and staff members waylaid him at every opportunity for more money..

His health declined even further when Knowledge Reports were written on him for daring to say that he did not want to attend INT events, and did not want 24 harassing and invasive phone calls a week, along with house visits for more $$$.

Common Sense in Scientology, lost the will to live as the his CHURCH became a business and only those with high IAS statuses were treated well, and lower level statuses were thrown repeatedly into Ethics where the MAA did not let you come out of an Ethics condition until you bought 3 more sets of BASICS.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live when Nightline told the world how the Church is “Expanding” and was so “Powerful” due to the THUGGERY of OSA. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, The Blind Leading the Blind and GAT for all, He leaves behind his wife, Discretion, his daughters, Responsibility and Integrity and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I can think clearly, I am not dependent on anyone for my spirituality, I read the Internet, I’m not a Victim of C of S. Not many attended his funeral because Sheeple do not read the Web and are intimidated by Facebook Police.

However Common Sense in Scientology was jubilant to read and hear posters like Ronnie Bell and others which luxuriate in everything Common Sense stood for.

  44. (oops) NED was @ 2 + 2 & grad 5 was @ 2 + 2, if I recall correctly. (That’s all full time & not factoring in prerequisites.)
But still! I’m not special. We just did it by LRH check sheets! Simple as that!

  45. This was a parody of an Obituary in the London Times

  46. Really really well done and thorough write-up. Thanks for this and welcome out into the sunshine. Each one out widens the path for others.

  47. threefeetback

    Ronnie,

    EXCELLENT write-up.

Now that you have personally assigned David Miscavige the condition of TREASON, perhaps you should compile an INTERNATIONAL AMNESTY that M&M would approve of to get thousands over the hump, once David goes down for the last time following his last gasp.

  48. Floating Needle

Welcome Ronnie! That was an awesome write-up!

I want expound on your point: “With the issuance of RTC ED #450, COB announces his revamping of every single auditor course checksheet.”

RTC ED #450 also says that ALL the basic books were gone through and revamped, yet, in 2007, with the release of the Basics it was no longer an SP on the line as vaguely mentioned in RTC ED #450, it was those damn transcriptionists! Do you think DM was referring to HIS transcriptionists and not LRH’s when he released the Basics?

    HELL YES HE WAS!

But DM forgot to mention that during his condemnation speech at the Basics event, but that didn’t stop him of reminding us all how stupid we were and “never really got Scientology in the first place.”

Well, not in his orgs! You just can’t get Scientology in COS orgs anymore.

Very spot on with your observations. Thanks for including those pesky reference links ( it will help all the newbies to the blog make sense of what’s really going on).

  49. happybaby89

Ronnie your writing just radiates common sense. It is so true, sincere and complete that it will resonate maybe even with the darkest soul this community knows.

  50. Amazing. I am 25yearsout@freeatlast and it brought tears to my eyes. So articulate, so spot on. This should be madly disseminated!

  51. Tim Swanson AKA Ann Howe

Hello Ronnie and welcome to the independents, where real Scientology is taught and delivered as you aptly pointed out.

A terrific write up. Point by point, observation, policy, conclusion. Nicely done.

  52. As a matter of fact I have a few BRE envelopes sitting around that just may find a copy of your letter in them.

  53. Truly awesome write-up!!! I especially liked this quote:

Data Series 30, Situation Finding (Management Series Vol. 1, p. 128)

“A lot of people are on a stuck flow of being sensible and sane — and that winds up in stupidity. So they get reasonable. Their confront of evil isn’t up to it — basically, their confront of outpoints.”

I was feeling it. Thank you!!!

  54. Superb write-up, Ronnie! Welcome!
I’m so glad you started with,
“What is true for you is what you have observed yourself. And when you lose that, you have lost everything.”
Scientology is based utterly on this premise, Ron could not have developed it any other way.
Thank you for the accurate detail and hard work you put into this write-up, it was well worth it!
    Richard Kaminski

  55. Ronnie, fantastic write-up with the exact references. Beautiful and true.

    Thank you very much!

  56. Wow Ronnie-beautiful write-up. There are so many intelligent people in the Indie field now and it just keeps growing. There won’t be any sentient beings left in the RCS.

  57. Chris Johnson

Holy Smokes, This guy can write!!!

    Bravo, my good man, Bravo!!

  58. Hi Ronnie,

I agree with Bozz, “. . . you have so truthfully, technically, and skillfully spoken the truth here . . .” My heart was racing as I read your post. It rang so true for me as I had just a few hours before posted on another section of this site a summary of my viewpoint regarding this, so I’ve pasted it here to share with you the similarities.

DM’s behavior didn’t occur in a vacuum. Obviously there were witnesses; even if the only witness in each instance of abuse was the person DM’s behavior was perpetrated against. Those witnesses who remained in the church year after year from the first time they were witness to abuse consented to the treatment they themselves and others received, as well as validated DM’s behavior. Consent that is inferred from signs, actions, or facts, or by inaction or silence is – implied consent. Every single person, public or staff, who has witnessed abuse by DM, including the trickle down abuse by other execs, who turned a blind eye or deaf ear and did nothing in an attempt to stop it, by their silence gave implied consent and handed their power over to DM and those execs.

I spent about 10 years in the church. My last few years, I and many others as staff, SO or public witnessed and reported the abuse of tech, policy, and people that resulted from the trickle down abuse originating at Flag. As a result of our reporting we, in turn, were targeted, so many of us finally chose to take a stand and withdrew our consent of the bad behavior by literally and openly resigning from the church in the early 80s, I’m sure many remember that schism.

Sadly, there is a chance the abuse will continue even after DM is gone. It will be propagated by those execs who take his place, that have or will model themselves after him to a greater or lesser degree. At first the behavior will go into covert mode until this wound appears to have healed or been forgotten. Slowly but surely it will progress evolving again into the horror it has become . . . unless, EVERY SINGLE PERSON, INCLUDING ATTORNEYS, WHO AIDED DM, BY THEIR ACTION AND/OR INACTION, IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE AND DEALT WITH.

I think what Debbie is doing is highly commendable, courageous and a long time coming; I see it as the culmination of events that had its beginnings in the early 80s, The First Wave – Recognition and Confrontation, hopefully followed by The Second Wave – Accountability and Reformation, leading to The Third Wave – Restoration and Liberty.

  59. Ronnie, that’s calling it like it is. Well done.

  60. i think ron trained more than 8 Class Viiis and not all are declared. Albert megraw is not

  61. Wow.
I have never heard it put so well before. You started in the right place. Personal integrity and freedom.
    Thank you and welcome

  62. Brian Culkin

I thought you were the guy in Bell Biv Devoe at first …. 🙂

I really enjoyed reading. All the best to you and your family.

  63. Ron Bell… I think I remember you from Seattle… were you there in the 70’s? Wendy

  64. This is clearly written by someone who knows his business and that of LRH. A big commendation!

  65. PersonalJudas

Agree with Haydn, flawless write up.
Another blistering salvo against the lame-assed, off-policy, thumb-suck,Borg-drivel that spews out of Corp. Scn and seems to pass for DA action these days.

If cream rises to the top, this place is Cornish Clotted Cream. Got to get me some scones and strawberry jam!

This group validates everything that’s good about Scientology.

    Thank you, Mr. Bell.

  66. Dizzy Mizz Lizzy

WOW! This write up is phenomenal! No anger, no resentment, just the pure statement of facts – backed up beautifully by LRH references. I have read many fantastic letters of resignation, but this one tops them all! Very well done! And welcome to FREEDOM!

  67. Richard Royce

    Ronnie,
That was a very well written formula and you have my Huzza!

  68. mark mckinstry

    Ronnie,

First of all … welcome. Proud to have you as a member of our group.

As a kid playing in the snow, I once threw a snowball about 40 yards, and against all odds hit my brother right on the top of his head. A feat that could not be duplicated.

I got the image when I read your announcement. It is so precise and to the point. And dead on target. I am sure DM felt the impact of this one.

Glad to have you on board. Looking forward to your progress up the Bridge.

  69. Welcome to the independent field!

I need to echo Haydn’s comment. Fantastic write-up – as good as any I’ve seen. Thank you for posting it!

Just before I departed the church in 2010, my personal integrity was out the bottom. It took some work but it felt good to get it back – I’m sure you know what I mean!

Another Quality arrival at Marty’s tent!

I keep hearing the quote from “Field of Dreams”

“If you build it they will come”

Well Marty et Al you are top quality builders!!!

  71. mark mckinstry

General DM, like Napolean in is pompous gold braid, hat, and stature, surrounded by a phalanx of attorneys, PI’s and other henchmen in his well guarded camp.

Ronnie lets one fly from out of nowhere and knocks DM on his ass. A shot so remarkable, even his henchmen have to admire it.

Maybe a shot heard round the world.

  72. This is quite a lenghty formula with lots of data. Back in 80ies had been Ethis Officer and on the first big wave of leaving the then evolving Corporate Scientology I had many on my desk turning in a similar doubt formula. I did accept it and filed it and let the people leave. But if you publish your data that you based your decision on then those data can be used to make you unshure about your decision. In addition to that, a being can decide without data. Especially when dealing with Corporate Scientology simply do your doubt and let them know your decision. Simple as that. That cannot be fought. If someone asks you „give me the reason why you decided soandso?“ simply answer „this is my will“ period. And that is also the truth. You decided. No need to justify anything.

  73. There has been a lot of evidence, knowledge reports, complaints, out P.R., out media, down stats, and otherwise red flags put forth about David Miscavige. Many people are still viewing it as just an inconvenient truth they do not want to be bothered with looking at.

But I will tell you this, this is the biggest Red Flag. Scientology has every instrument to forgive a person for failing and provide second chances. This is the success of any religion. The mere fact that he keeps people imprisoned for years when ethics conditions could have them back in life, the L’s can crack their case, for years, it testament that he cannot forgive or neither give people a second chance.

That in itself disqualifies him instantly from any form of leadership. For that matter in itself, you cannot deny this is a serious outpoint. He will not use the Scientology at his fingertips to grant others rightness or fix them. This in itself is suppressive.

  74. + 1

  75. Pass the Scotch

    Ronnie,

What a phenomenal write-up! Even though I don’t recognize your name, I feel like we’ve known each other for years.

Like you, I feel a debt of gratitude to Friends of LRH. That website did more to open my eyes back in around 2007 than any other single source. (I found it a little before Marty started his site, and I didn’t find the Scientology-Cult site till later). I couldn’t believe that a group of obviously highly-trained Scientologists had laid out almost every major tech and policy alteration currently happening in the church.

I STRONGLY recommend that everyone read or re-read this wonderful site– all 3 articles. And re-look at the stats they publish. Even though most of the outpoints they originally wrote about are now old news to us veteran readers of Marty’s site, it’s still BRAND NEW data to all the current Kool-aid drinkers out there. And when it comes to reaching THEM, I’ve never found a better tool.

    Here’s the link: http://www.friendsoflrh.org

Thanks again Ronnie for a brilliant write-up and for being a great example of what LRH expects of a Scientologist.

    Karl Riehl
    (aka Pass the Scotch)

  76. Ronnie: I believe you have succinctly delineated what David Miscavige has done and why.

His destruction of the church is now legion. I have tried to find friends of mine still IN the SO at Flag only to be given shore stories, leaving me with the sad conclusion they are gone – either actually deceased (like Annie was) or on some RPF program deeply hidden.

Well done on your obvious decompression and strong look to your future the future of others.

    Love,
    WH

  77. Hello Ronnie! Great to see you out and communicating!

  78. Robert Earle

Welcome Ronnie. I find myself nearly speechless. What an awesome detailed write up.

  79. Nice to see you hear Great write up / For DM Treason it is. He already got this someone else notification of this from Free zone Indepts way back when Doesn’t hurt for reminding him where he is at great !

  80. Ronnie,

Your write-up is so well observed, reasoned and written. Just extraordinary! Thank you.

    JM

  81. Ronnie,
That one takes the cake: Numero Uno!
The real beauty of what you wrote and the way you presented it is that it will passed around from person to person because of its clarity, quality and positioning.
Marvelous! Splendid! You’re a quality guy!
    Thank you.

  82. Time to define a new term.

When something is made perfectly clear and is documented beyond question and leaves no question as to meaning it should henceforth be known as “Clear as a Ronnie Bell,”

Wonderful to see you here Ronnie. You landed in the pool with a perfectly executed reverse double inward pike….

    Thanks for joining the party.

  83. !!!!!

  84. “..nailed to the church door.”
    +1!! Love it!
    Can I use the hammer??

  85. Your humble servant

    Excellent, Karen!

  86. +1 with Just Me!!!

    Ronnie,

Beautiful write up!! Your care for others shows through, big time!! much love from west Texas, Laura Ann
ps I was just thinking about (yesterday) some of the issues you so eloquently covered. Those people following and supporting a shadow of LRH’s philosophy are treading all over his dream for all of them. Thanks again!

  87. Fantastic write-up Ronnie. So much so, it could almost be put into a mini-hat checksheet format for those newly out! Welcome!

  88. Ka blam!

Nail this to the doors of every church. Post on all the announcement boards (do these even exist in idle morgues?). Post bills outside the retreats of the Lunatic Anti-christ of Hemet as well.
    Thanks Karen.

  89. Heeelllll yeeahhhh!

That incessant but pleasant ringing in my ears is the sound of Ronnie Bell putting his foot down and taking a stand for personal integrity.

    Thank you sir.

  90. Beautiful !

One could interchange KSW and common sense !

    Roger

  91. Welcome Ronnie !
    Bravo !

  92. Random Stranger

Bob Dylan’s response to Ronnie Bell write-up:

  93. Found those Quotes from Orders of the day by Lrh on Ortega’s news. They are very interesting and I’ve never seen it applied !
    By the way:
Weren’t the L’s developed in conjunction with the FEBC and wasn’t it mandatory that each FEBC graduate had the L’s audited on him and only then he would be the powerhouses a envisioned by LRH ?
I can remember that LRH states that on the FEBC tapes.
    Simplicity in itself !

“We already had data on this. One OT working alone in an area can get clobbered.
An old, most successful Whole Track pattern (probably the most successful space society, lasted 80 billion and probably still going) always ordered TWO beings to a command post.
It takes FIVE FEBCs to totally man an org’s upper echelon. C/O or ED, PRODUCT OFFICER, ORGANIZING OFFICER, HCO AREA SEC and PES or DIST SEC (Consumption Officer).
An ED/Product Officer and Org Officer is evidently the minimum pair.
In the SO we only send a single out to observe. To get anything done we always send two. Bitter experience has made TWO mandatory. ”

At least we have MR and MR.

This makes TWO. And with Debbie THREE. Oh I forgot Steve, so we have FOUR. Is Tony part of the Team ? Who else ?

“This is clear as a Ronnie Bell”

    Roger 🙂

  94. Wow Karen #1 — I can’t wait to hug you …

  95. John Fennessey

Welcome home Ronnie. You have travelled far and reconnected to that group whose members have the purpose to help others for as long as it takes as encompassed in the sea org motto and the bodhisattva vow. Its the same group and guiding spirit you joined back in 1973. Glad you found the new address. Its a comming home of sorts, though you never left. Enjoy the company here. Its a full house getting fuller every day but has unlimited expansion potential and you will feel right at home in every sense.

  96. Ronnie,

    That’s a killer write-up. Fantastic job.

I have to comment on point #10 of the outpoints you listed regarding the gauntlet of reg’s at events and staff being posted at the doors. What I saw was worse. At the Ft Harrison auditorium I saw them lock the side doors so that people were forced out the main entrance, by the reg’s. This was a Fire Marshall’s worst nightmare! What IF something happened and people had to exit quickly? The results would have been catastrophic.

I recall on time when this happened during an event. I had the distinct feeling of being trapped and it wasn’t any out-int kicking in. I was trapped! When we were leaving I insisted they unlock one of the side doors so I could exit. The staff member complied. Crazy, dangerous, illegal sh*t.

  97. excellent!

  98. In fact The Ronnie Bell Tolls for you david miscavige. The sooner the better

  99. Welcome Ronnie!

Excellent write-up, you laid it all out perfectly.
Glad to have someone of your caliber with us.

    Luis

  100. Awesome write-up Ronnie!
I am relax, Tr-0 in, and don’t ask my self anymore why?, why?, why?…
Cause, i’m free of the Vulture Culture, free of the endless phone calls for $$, free of the David Miscavige’s hypnotic events, free of the PTS-ness, free to think, to look, to take my own decision and free to choose who are my friends!
Life is good again and playing it without insanity is a joy by it self!

This blog is incredible… Thank you Marty and all!

  101. Ronnie,

You are not only a keen observer, but also one hell of a writer! It occurs to me that the average IQ of the Church membership must be going steadily down as all of the smart ones find their way here.

But I liked your viewpoint that you choose to “remain” in the group that’s true to LRH. You’re not leaving. It’s the Church that left you.

  102. Tom Gallagher

    Ronnie,

That is one hell of a Magnum Opus! Like a hot knife through warm butter. Thanks!

  103. Durn, I’m so late commenting, all the superlative adjectives and analogies have already been used. Still, I must chime in.

Ronnie, this is one of the VERY BEST write-ups yet. You did an outstanding job. So very well expressed and very well documented. As a group, our communications are moving up in quantity and quality. You just set a new standard for quality.

Thank you for this contribution, but even without the great announcement, even if you said nothing more than “I’m out”; you have taken a stand for right and justice – for your personal integrity – and that is what I most want to acknowledge. I appreciate your courage and willingness to take responsibility.

Not to mention you make a Texas girl proud to boast you are part of our group. Look forward to meeting you.

  104. moneca ryane

Wonderful write up. Every word of praise much deserved. A beautiful reminder to look. The truth is always there to see if will only confront it. The reading of your write up brought clear as a bell understanding and lit up many of the dark counters not often observed, or recognized. Thank you!

  105. Wow, Tara, that makes sense of how it should be. After GAT, just finishing the Pro Metering course at ASHO in ’97 -’98 took 11 months full time and I am a good student. I saw people on that course for 3-4 years – full time. I know of two who (were former certified auditors – class VIIIs) who were on the course so long they died, never getting a chance to finish. Interrogatories were going on monthly trying to find out who was holding down the line. Imagine, if they could have considered the originator of GAT as the one doing it could they have written that up? Miscavige, you are the stop of training. You are the who!!! Time for you to leave. Go away now!

  106. Defender of Theta

    Ronnie, thank you

Your writing ability is out the top – clear and articulate.

What is particularly good is the lack of HE&R in your piece. Even though negative emotions toward the tyrant and his helpers is understandable, if we want to reach those who have not yet joined the movement, HE&R is, as LRH says, “a primarily barrier” to getting a product.

Specifically, your piece does not contain negative attitudes towards those who do not yet understand the full facts regarding David Miscavige. Your piece has ARC and grants beingness to such readers.

Too many times, our writings show a contempt for those we seek to enlighten. The problem is that they can pickup it up, if we think they are “sheeple” or “koolaide drinkers”, which works against our own goal, of getting them to cease supporting the tyrant.

Your piece is a great demonstration of your grasp of the basics of Scientology: ARC and granting of beingness. And, your understanding of the power of good scholarship (the power of using clean facts, analytically presented).

    Thanks,
    Frank

  107. Theo Sismanides

Hi Ronnie, great analysis and data you put there! thanks a lot. I have one more outpoint on translations and the non application of specific HCOBs if you want to add it up, I can explain it to you. Write to me at thetamag@yahoo.gr

Your write up is so analytical and concise and thorough.

I said it before, we are now hundreds, getting into the thousands. All we need to do is keep acting as a team of independent and free teammates.

  108. Awesome write-up!!!!! Wow, welcome to the Indies. You are a guy with integrity and smarts!!!!We all have our journey and I’d bet others will read this and unless they are completely blind will board the train!

  109. Re-read that paragraph: “15. Per widespread reports, 30 of the 54 Class XII auditors ever made, have been declared SP. All 8 of the Class XIIs personally trained by LRH have been declared SPs. It is illogical in the extreme that such a high a percentage of a single group of people, are actually suppressive persons.”

He is referencing Class XIIs, not Class VIIIs…

  110. an OT7 Free Being

    Just the facts:
OJ Roos, Liese Klingvall, Tommy Klingsvall, Mike Mauerer, Leon Steinberg, Quentin Hubbard, Alex Sibersky and Brian Livingston = 8
    Some deceased, living declared.

  111. Defender of Theta

    Hello, Archer

I understand your feelings regarding holding to account those who aided DM by action or inaction. The problem is that:

    1. that is almost all of us and almost all people in Scientology
    2. that policy does not work; by actual statistic, tyrants are brought down by spreading the truth about their nature and acts, and making it safe for their supporters to change sides.

Ronnie’s article is brilliant in many ways – one is that he clearly understands the above principles.

    Frank

  112. Tony DePhillips

    Hi Ronnie!!
That was a great write-up. I loved the way you broke it down on why a person will or will not look.
It takes people like you to get this job done and I thank you for your courage and confront. Welcome to the free people.
Hope to see you at the Inde party!!

  113. This isn’t simply just a brilliant write-up…..it’s a bloody work of art! Beautiful, succinct, informative, educational, honest, intelligent and…..it COMMUNICATES! (per LRH’s definition of art). I thought Ulf’s was awesome (and it was) but this is icing.
Well done Ronnie. You sound like a straight up guy….just like so many others I have read on this site. I applaud you.

  114. Tony DePhillips

    To Ronnie!!

  115. Ronnie, Wow! that was some smoking hot write-up. I think ‘the best’ so far. The references that have been abandoned pierced my heart. You are such a stellar example and can not wait to meet you. I am part of the Texas gang, in Austin, so come down our way and we’ll stir up something fun to do.

I just wish to acknowledge your perfect example of keeping one’s integrity. Such a beautiful thetan you are and here’s a formal welcome toast.
    love, Kay

  116. Defender of Theta

    Correction, adding “with references”:

“(the power of using clean facts, analytically presented, with references)”

  117. Very good points D of T.
We have to remember not to lose sight of the ideals that epitomise the spirit of the group and which LRH worked so hard toward. Ref: What is Greatness?
Not always easy but not a bad ideal to aim for.

  118. Welcome Ronnie, excellent doubt formula. Hope to meet you at the party. Best to you. Kat

  119. More amazing to me than Ronnie’s super clear and superbly reasoned argument is what should be being printed off right about now: Ronnie’s SP declare. To the remaining few who are totally blotto on Kool-Aid they will now be ordered to view Ronnie as an antisocial personality who is bent on destruction of everything and everyone, stuck in a whole track engram so devastating that it plays out in constant dramatization in present time. That anyone for a second would read Ronnie’s statement and then place this man in that category is truly over-the-top astonishing. Love hearing your voice in the choir, Ronnie Clear As A Bell. Welcome.

  120. Hello, just a hint, as I wasn’t able to find this quote in the above reference.
The correct reference for this quote is:
    HCO PL 18. 03. 1977RA, Data Series 43RA,
    “EVALUATION AND PROGRAMS”

“There was a fellow out in the field saying, U I think we have done all right in the past” -meaning “without the Data Series” – “in our thinking and planning.” He didn’t think he had to take a Data Series course or something. Whereas I was literally getting rivers of outpoints from him and his area. He didn’t recognize them as such.

Well, what he didn’t appreciate is that this is a brand-new way of thinking. Man prides himself on being logical so that he has never based any system on illogic—except humor. You have to learn to think backwards—you learn to think backwards, and boy can you think forwards. It’s like a dichotomy, positive-negative.If everybody omits the negative all the time, they never get to the positive.

A lot of people are on a stuck flow of being sensible and sane — and that winds up in stupidity. So they get reasonable. Their confront of evil isn’t up to it-basically, their confront of outpoints.

THE ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE OUTPOINTS WILL EXACTLY MONITOR THE SPEED OF EVALUATION AND THE ABILITY TO HANDLE THE SCENE.

An evaluator cannot say, when he hasn’t received any reports for 2 1/2 months, that he doesn’t know what to do because he hasn’t received any reports. He’d better be able to recognize an omitted report when he sees one and that there is a situation and he had better take action to remedy that situation NOW.”
    – L. Ron Hubbard

  121. Ronnie, that was one of the best write-ups I’ve seen here. It’s obvious that what you wrote you personally witnessed, researched and analyzed in such a way as to communicate your findings in a clear and believable form. I’d say anyone who read your write-up and was still drinking cool-aid would most likely be a disguised robot, metal, wires and all. It’s beautiful. And you should realize how effective that write-up will be on many many people. A warm welcome to the world of independence and best of fortune to you.

  122. Ronnie Bell

To what extent have you had the opportunity to carefully review and form conclusions on the following, from the vast body of material available on LRH himself

I’ve never felt any compelling reason to look at LRH with a critical eye, or to dig into old tales about his life and times in the early days of Scientology. When he was still among us, Scientology was growing and healthy. We may not have had all the glitz and glam in those days, but at least the Tech was sound, and auditors and case completions were in abundance.

He himself said that no man is without sin, and that all have done things for which they could be censured by their fellows. He never claimed to be a saint, and I never applied that label to him.

What I do know, is that he achieved something that no one before him did — a workable route out of the trap.

  123. BRAVO, BRAVO,!!!

    The very best writeup ever…

I am number 22…Have been for years

I never answer a call from the COS

    From the Code of Honor

Do not give or receive communication unless you yourself desire it.

If they happen to get through. I just keep repeating I am just not interested. Drive them crazy.

  124. Ronnie Bell

I sense a group of true heroes forming here. The stuff of great story, the quest for true spiritual freedom with character, ethics and integrity as the banner.

Beautifully said, and I believe it to be exactly that.

  125. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, Sinar. I’ve personally observed everything in my write-up to be true, but I gathered many of the references from Friends of LRH.com. The stat analysis on trained auditors came from their site. It’s in a piece called “What Happened To Training?”

Take a look at it. It’ll knock your socks off: http://www.friendsoflrh.org/Section2/

  126. GetTheConcept

I hope this doesn’t divert from the great write-up of Ronnie, but I just have to ask you Martin, are you related to Alex Gibson, who at least when I was last there, was the senior intern sup at Flag?

    Dave Fagen

  127. OMG Jerry! 11 months on the GAT pro metering course?!?! That had to be torture.

  128. Ronnie Bell

Your declaration needs to be nailed to the Church door.

And I just may do that, Michael. Thank you so much for the kind ack.

  129. Ronnie Bell

Thank you so much, Meshelle. I am really looking forward to that complete sense of quiet peace and release.

You said that your life has really blossomed since disconnecting from the PTSness in the corporate church. Well, something interesting happened to us last week, as we were working our through Doubt. Business shot through the roof. My wife and I were just looking at the date coincidence of this last night. Curious, eh?

  130. Ronnie. Wow.

  131. Ronnie Bell

    Much appreciated, Jerry.

I’ve been watching the slow erosion of our beloved church for thirty years now. I always knew it wasn’t natural, and that someone was pushing the stats down. I simply never suspected that it was DM, until I gave myself permission to inspect the hundreds of KRs online. A friend sent me Debbie Cook’s email, and that was that. I HAD to look.

Towards the end of my write-up there are a couple of LRH quotes where he explains why people fail to spot the real Whys of falling stats and conditions in a group. That was actually very helpful to me, as it shed a great deal of light on my diminished state during the dark years.

  132. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, Dean. The world is a bit brighter today 🙂

  133. Ronnie Bell

Welcome to the Independent Movement! We don’t bark, and we don’t bite!

Well, I’m right at home. I never have suffered bullies well, and have beat several down in my time. I’m just an old scrapper from the big city gritty.

  134. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, Ulf. The observations are all mine, but I got valuable assistance with the LRH references from Friends of LRH.com.

  135. TO, wow, what a profound point you make here. Seems so obvious, maybe so much so that it needed to be highlighted as starkly as you did.

Talk about Squirreling – DM’s application of medieval, wog, barbaric forms of punishment to his subordinates instead of correcting them with Scientology BASICS!

(Assuming they needed correction in the first place, which I don’t)

David Miscavige – not only the Biggest SP in the history of Scientology; also the Biggest Squirrel!

Calling John Allender: you need to get yourself, your camera crew and rubber rafts out to Int Base ASAP!

  136. Ronnie Bell

Perfect. Hope you don’t mind me using some of it.

Not at all. It’s a public announcement for broad public issue. I don’t own the truth. Please use what I’ve written at will.

Please let us know what, if any, response you get from your friends.

Responses from friends and associates are starting to trickle in. Most are higher toned than I’d predicted, but I’ve gotten a couple of snarly comments from some guys I owe money to. That wasn’t entirely unexpected, and I let them know that nothing’s changed, and that I remain committed to repaying them in full.

  137. Ronnie Bell

Some folks are going to react in a PTS fashion to a friend or associate going Independent. It’s something I had to confront and come to terms with before I published my write-up.

Funny thing is, a lot of those same people will come around eventually, and will screw up enough courage to take a look for themselves. I went through those exact stages myself, when all this first hit my plate. Fortunately for me, the person who led me out of the darkness persisted long enough to pique my curiosity. I guess it was a bit like a reach and withdraw process. The third time was a charm, and I opened my eyes.

  138. Ronnie Bell

…thank you for the additional data I’ve found in your write up.

You’re most welcome, friend. Thank you for the welcome.

  139. Ronnie Bell

Many lurk on this site and you have clearly pointed out issues which will help many.

Thank you, Karen. I’ve discovered so much reading here. I wish I could summarize it all, and put it into one big write-up. Actually, I think they call that a book .. LOL

  140. Dizzy Mizz Lizzy

    What does HE&R mean?

  141. Ronnie Bell

    Another OPERATING THETAN.

I’m honored by that, Martin. Thank you so much. I would have acted much sooner, had I just given myself permission to read the hundreds of testimonials and KRs online. Once I did that, there was no Q&A possible.

  142. Ronnie Bell

Thanks for backing up what LRH says about auditor training time, with your personal account. That’s how you crank out auditors in volume, and get the show on the road. NOT by squeezing money out of the public to buy glitzy buildings, and NOT by forcing them all to study the basic books.

    Thank you!

  143. Ronnie Bell

You have found some refs that I hadn’t seen before – ones that are exactly relevant to the PT scene. Very well done!

Thank you, Axiom. I found most of those references here: http://www.friendsoflrh.org/

  144. martyrathbun09

    Well put.

  145. That was a good one!

  146. It really is a great song!

  147. Ronnie Bell

    Wow! Bravo!

  148. Ronnie Bell

Really really well done and thorough write-up. Thanks for this and welcome out into the sunshine.

Thank you so much, Claire. I’m just ‘paying it forward.’

  149. Ronnie Bell

DM forgot to mention that during his condemnation speech at the Basics event, but that didn’t stop him of reminding us all how stupid we were and “never really got Scientology in the first place.”

A more insidious, and destructive communication, has rarely been delivered from so elevated a pulpit. It was a suppressive act of the highest order.

  150. Ronnie Bell

…your writing just radiates common sense. It is so true, sincere and complete that it will resonate maybe even with the darkest soul this community knows.

Thank you for saying that, Happy.

What I wrote, is based upon 39 years of being a loyal Scientologist who has simply endured the ever worsening state of his religion. It’s supported by half a lifetime of disappointments, both large and small. I’ve observed far too much to squeeze it all into one write-up. I just hope that some of what I’ve witnessed and experienced comes through between the lines.

  151. Ronnie Bell

So articulate, so spot on. This should be madly disseminated!

I’m humbled, Michael. Thank you so much for that enthusiastic acknowledgement. I do hope that my write-up helps others to see the light.

  152. Ronnie Bell

A terrific write up. Point by point, observation, policy, conclusion. Nicely done.

Thank you so much for saying so. Quite honestly, I was simply trying to measure up to all of the other fine write-ups I’ve seen here.

The bar is high around these parts. Some of the most excellent thetans on the planet hang out here! 🙂

  153. A suggestion to all:
When you receive emails from the Orgs, hit “reply” and then copy & paste Ronnie’s write-up into the body of the email. Send it off. The beauty of doing this is that the recipient doesn’t have to click on any link and risk being found out. He/she can sit there all by himself, read it and make his way to the nearest door.

  154. Ronnie Bell

I’ve got an OT VII buddy who is stuck in that exact phenomenon right now. I thought of him when I first read that reference. He read Debbie Cook’s email and Luis Garcia’s write-up, and responded that I should go into the org and write up my O/Ws.

    Geeez Louise…..

  155. Ronnie Bell

I’m so glad you started with,
“What is true for you is what you have observed yourself. And when you lose that, you have lost everything.”
Scientology is based utterly on this premise

When I first sat down to compose a cover letter for friends and family, I searched for a way to break it gently to them. Reminding them of that one senior datum seemed to fit the bill. Glad you thought so too!

  156. Ronnie Bell

You’re welcome, Val. Thank you for saying so.

  157. Ronnie Bell

There are so many intelligent people in the Indie field now and it just keeps growing. There won’t be any sentient beings left in the RCS.

One of the biggest revelations I had, when first coming into contact with the Independent field, was how many upstat, honest Scientologists were out here. I really had no idea. Falling into tacit agreement with the insidious command, Don’t look – Don’t listen will do that to a person.

Finding that so many highly trained and respected people were Independent, helped me greatly to make my own escape. One of the most effective blows one can make against the enemies of Scientology, is to overtly announce to the world that you’ve chosen to be an Independent Scientologist.

As LRH said, beings are not normally courageous. Seeing that one will not stand alone in the wilderness is of great comfort to anyone who’s on the fence.

  158. Ronnie Bell

    Thank you, Chris. I am a wordy sumbitch, ain’t I? 😉

  159. Bravo Ronnie. Well written indeed!!

  160. YEE HAW!! Howdy, Pardner! Another Texan joins the shoot-out! Ronnie, your write-up was written so well, and I loved the references about auditing and training auditors, and your stats as well! Your shot the Golden Age of Tech all to hell, right where it needs to be. I know you will enjoy your New Life, with your integrity back in good standing. Thank you for your courage in knowing what you know and having the courage to say it publicly! Hope to meet you someday soon!

    Happy Trails,
    Catherine Von Ach

  161. Ronnie Bell

Wonderful post, Debora Ann (I love that name – it’s my sister’s).

Yes, as indicated in the LRH quote at the end of my write-up, if anyone had knocked the crap out of that little bully when he was on the way up, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Untold amounts of damage and heartbreak could have been avoided, if someone had simply said, “Over my dead body, asshole!”

As you said, though, he didn’t get to where he is without the aiding and abetting of other low-toned beings around him, and even after he’s gone, it’ll take a herculean effort to put the church to rights. Such is the never-ending battle against evil.

What’s that LRH says about “Constant Alertness and the Willingness to Fight Back”?

  162. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, Mat. Just trying to do my part.

  163. Ronnie Bell

i think ron trained more than 8 Class Viiis and not all are declared. Albert megraw is not

Thanks for telling me that. I got the data about the declared Class VIIIs from elsewhere.

  164. Ronnie Bell

You started in the right place. Personal integrity and freedom.
    Thank you and welcome

Much appreciated, John. That seemed to be the logical place for me to begin a comm that others might have a hard time experiencing.

  165. Ronnie Bell

    Heh… thanks, Brian. 🙂

  166. Ronnie Bell

I think I remember you from Seattle… were you there in the 70′s?

No, but I’ve been mistaken for another black guy by the name of Ray Bell. Folks used to get us mixed up all the time, back in the 70s.

  167. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, Tessa. I’m just an average, run o’ the mill Scientologist, speaking up. Much appreciated.

  168. Ronnie Bell

If cream rises to the top, this place is Cornish Clotted Cream. Got to get me some scones and strawberry jam!

This group validates everything that’s good about Scientology.

Amen. It’s why I rolled up my sleeves and gave it my best with my write-up. The bar is very high in this group. Here be the upper tenth of the upper tenth of mankind.

  169. Mrs. Meshell, I miss my disconnected son too, but as you say, if more people stand up we could end this true suppression. Integrity is the operating word.

  170. Ronnie Bell

Thank you so much for that humbling ack, Lizzy.

There’s a time and place to unload ones’ charge on the abysmal state of our church, but such a write-up isn’t one of them. Besides, I’ve been getting that particular charge off in session for years now.

I’ve got my sore spots about a few things, but I don’t dwell on it much. What’s more important, and the thing that I hadn’t been doing for so many years, is applying the basic ethics tech of Scientology to everything that spun me in. Doing that write-up went a long way in that direction for me.

  171. Ronnie Bell

    Thanks much, Richard.

  172. Ronnie Bell

I am deeply humbled by the many accolades and acks that I’m receiving on this thread.

Thank you so much for what you said about accuracy in my write-up. It stands on the shoulders of others who’ve documented the facts much better than I.

I certainly hope that I hit the target from 40 yards out 🙂

  173. Robert Earle

It is an abbreviation which stands for “human emotion and reaction. A dramatic expample would be, David Miscavige hears that Debbie Cook has sent out her e-mail New Years Eve. He then screams, yells, kicks the dog,etc.etc.etc,etc,orders Private investigators, sues, etc, etc, etc.

  174. Ronnie Bell

Thank you for the fine ack, Ron. I appreciate that very much.

What you said about regaining your integrity is just starting to bite on my own universe. There’s something liberating about finally standing up and speaking my mind.

  175. Ronnie Bell

Ronnie lets one fly from out of nowhere and knocks DM on his ass. A shot so remarkable, even his henchmen have to admire it.

Maybe a shot heard round the world.

Back when I was a practicing musician, I dreamed that I’d one day have a hit record. I had no idea that this would be it 😉

Thank you so much for that powerful ack.

  176. Robert Earle

The above goes to Dizzy Mizz Lizzy’s question above.

  177. Ronnie Bell

If someone asks you, “give me the reason why you decided soandso?“ simply answer, this is my will“ period. And that is also the truth. You decided. No need to justify anything.

Very good point. That’s personal integrity in a nutshell.

  178. Robert Earle

As slight detour from Ronnie’s announcement. I just noticed some interesting news articles appearing. Miscavige is clearly off his rocker. Apparently he’s positioning himself with nursery rhymes and promoting to 6 year olds now. See it here.

  179. Ronnie Bell

Amen to that, Karl. I don’t see how anyone could read through the data on that site, and not come away with the firm conclusion that our church has been actively suppressed into oblivion for three decades running.

The folks at Friends of LRH also correctly target the real SP in this sordid incident. Certainly there are others. His PTS henchmen and cowed execs also share responsibility for the devastation that’s been wreaked upon our group and the technology. I must add, that, even we lowly parishioners share responsibility for our unwillingness to confront evil, and for becoming suppressively reasonable about the degradation and destruction we’ve witnessed.

Producing a write-up about what one has seen, and then broadly publishing it, is just the first step of amends, in my view.

  180. FCDC Class of 74

Eye opening write up, a beacon of truth. It is so comforting as it was experienced in the mid seventies that you referenced the tech, and quoted source. You did that and more. Thanks and welcome.

  181. Ronnie Bell

Well done on your obvious decompression and strong look to your future the future of others.

Thanks, Windhorse. I am experiencing a bit of decompression right now. I woke up feeling very calm this morning. I didn’t know whether it was me, or whether it was all of the ARC that’s being flowed toward me, but it does feel good.

  182. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, Tune. I’ve been sitting on that communication for far too long. It feels really good to get it off my chest.

  183. Ronnie Bell

What an awesome detailed write up.

    Much appreciated, Robert.

As I’ve said upthread, I stand on the shoulders of some of the finest OTs on the planet. That includes Marty and Debbie, without saying. I’m eternally in their debt.

  184. Welcome to the party pal! 😀

  185. Ronnie Bell

Thank you, JM. I really didn’t consider it to be my very best work when I put it together. Essentially, I simply unloaded a stream of things that have built up inside me for decades, and located some pertinent references to back it all up. It wasn’t that hard to do, given the weight it’s been exerting on my shoulders all these years.

  186. Karen # 1, you are a lovely and intelligent girl.

  187. Ronnie Bell

Thank you for the very kind ack, Laura. I really do care about every Scientologist who’s been harmed, and even those who are just now beginning to experience the altered tech and importances of DMology.

  188. Ronnie Bell

…it will passed around from person to person because of its clarity, quality and positioning.
    Marvelous! Splendid!

Gosh, I hope that others pass it on. I feel humbled that others think so highly of what I wrote.

  189. Ronnie, Just another voice in accolade, but I have to say that was a stunningly good write-up. I thought I had seen what must be the best but you have achieved a new benchmark in compelling and thoughtful analysis. VVWD sir.

  190. Ronnie, please ask that person to share the approach that they used to disseminate the truth, if you think it might help others of us here to effectively put the word out. Obviously it worked for you, so maybe it would work similarly-well with others. Thanks for your write-up.

  191. Ronnie Bell

Time to define a new term.

When something is made perfectly clear and is documented beyond question and leaves no question as to meaning it should henceforth be known as “Clear as a Ronnie Bell,”

Oh, my goodness .. LOL! I sorta kinda always thought that just maybe I’d become famous for something, but I never dreamed it would be this.

I tell you what….LRH once originated a comm to me (made the hair stand up on the back of my neck at the time!). He asked me how it was going on my intention to become an auditor. I gulped, and had to reply back that I hadn’t made it to the course room yet, but that I still had every intention of doing so. That even came up in session recently, and it brought tears to my eyes. I felt for so long that I let the old man down.

I can only hope that what I’ve written here, will help to strike a blow against ignorance and suppression for others, and assist in the movement to restore our beloved church. I hope that wherever he is, the old man got my comm, and is quietly giving me a VWD.

Mike, I’m more honored than you know, that you appreciate my write-up. I feel that it stands as but a small contribution, compared to what you, Marty, Steve, and others have done for us all.

    Thank you.

  192. Ronnie Bell

…it could almost be put into a mini-hat checksheet format for those newly out!

Wow! Cold chills here. Thank you ever so much!

  193. Ronnie Bell

That incessant but pleasant ringing in my ears is the sound of Ronnie Bell putting his foot down and taking a stand for personal integrity.

Helllllll Yeahhhhhh back atcha, bud! 😉

It wasn’t all that hard to unload a partial list of everything I’ve witnessed over the last thirty years, but I appreciate that others think so much of it. Frankly, I think that any one of us could have put that together. There are actually a lot more outpoints that can be written up. I hope to see some in the near future.

  194. Ronnie Bell

    Thank you, Roger. Much appreciated!

  195. Ronnie Bell

Amen, friend. The times are indeed a’changin’, thanks to those OTs who’ve blazed the trail. A grateful world will one day sing their praises.

  196. Hey Neil,
What you asked Ronnie about reviewing materials on LRH regarding the 4 points above, have you done that?

  197. Ronnie Bell

Love hearing your voice in the choir, Ronnie Clear As A Bell.

“Clear as a Bell.” I like that 🙂

And yes, I am but another voice in the choir. Many others have stepped forward with statements more eloquent than mine. And then there are DEEDS, like those of Marty Rathbun, Steve Hall, Mike Rinder, and Debbie Cook. I can only hope that I’m worthy to stand in the company of such enormous beings.

  198. Neil, Fact and fiction re LRH has no more relevance to Scientology than fact or fiction re Thomas Jefferson or George Washington has to do with the US Constitution and the nation as a whole. Scientology is about life, not LRH. Scientologists do not worship LRH. He was just a man, fallible like anyone else. But he did one thing you and I did not do. He engineered a technology that restores a being’s spiritual abilities. The merits of that technology stand on their own.

When I buy a car, I don’t care if the car’s designer was able to drive it or if he had any traffic accidents behind the wheel.

Example: I drive a Corvette Zo6. It goes 0-60 in 4 seconds flat and pulls 1 G in a turn. No one from the CoS has ever bothered to even try to tail me. That car does everything it is supposed to do and more. Never has the thought crossed my mind to write to Chevrolet and ask them to please tell me their thoughts about,

    1. fact and fiction re Corvette designers
    2. strengths and weaknesses of Corvette designers
    3. claims of human rights abuses perpetuated by Corvette designers
    4. relevance or irrelevance of outcomes of 1, 2 and 3 to Chevrolet’s potential to benefit customers

Why would I care what the Corvette design team did in their personal lives? All I care about is “Does the car work?” In my case the answer is hell yes. I’m not alone in this as I am pretty sure that despite millions of cars on the road, Chevrolet has never received a single letter from someone who was so confused in their thinking that they would judge merits of the CAR on the behavior or personal lives of the individuals responsible for designing it.

Your question is a good one because many people ask this same question. As far as I can see, all such questions are from people who are confused about what Scientology is because it is called a religion. Well, the fact is it’s far broader than just a religion. Actually it’s an applied spiritual philosophy — that’s what it is. It legally qualifies as a religion because it deals with the rehabilitation of the spiritual abilities of the human spirit. But it is not a belief system per LRH and it requires no faith. We do not worship LRH.

Truth be told, it was made into a religion as a defensive move against vested interests (the fathers of psychology and psychiatry, etc) who saw Scientology as a threat to their violence-based criminal racket. And anyone doesn’t think psychology and psychiatry are criminal, despicable, violence-based frauds, I invite them to have a taste of their own medicine: show us how therapeutic their methods are by getting a weekly dose of shock treatment for 6 weeks. This rejoinder has been made to cagy snake oil salesmen by wise consumers for thousands of years: “If it’s so good, let’s see you drink it.” I don’t think you will find a single psychiatrist in the world who is willing to have his brain fried by electricity for the same reason that when your hard drive goes on the blink, few people are stupid enough to “solve” it by striking it with 40,000 volts.

I have a friend on a medical disability. To get treatment, he is required by the state to see a psychiatrist. That psych put him on various drugs and is now wanting him to get electroshock. Yeah — it’s still going on today in 2012. Barbaric brain damage in the name of therapy. If that’s not a criminal racket, you tell me what is. I call it spiritual murder.

Okay, in the 1950s these same film-flam murderers were lobbying hard to take control of the certification of Scientology practitioners. Well, we’ve all seen what happens when the control of Scientology is handed to a murderer and David Miscavige is the perfect example. LRH’s 1951 solution was to make Scientology a religion. It legally qualifies because it deals with the human soul. If the subject hadn’t become a religion, it wouldn’t have survived.

    Hope that helps.

  199. George M. White

Ronnie Bell – Congratulations on your independence!
    Great,great write up.
1973 – Ronnie Bell entered; 1973 David Stokes entered,
1973 I entered. We have something in common.

…Ronnie’s SP declare. To the remaining few who are totally blotto on Kool-Aid they will now be ordered to view Ronnie as an antisocial personality who is bent on destruction of everything and everyone, stuck in a whole track engram so devastating that it plays out in constant dramatization in present time.

It hasn’t failed to cross my mind that someone, somewhere, will read what I’ve written, and driven by their own PTS condition and lack of integrity, craft an SP declare on me. That would really bother me, if I thought such would be issued by an in-ethics, well-informed, OT, On Source, and non-PTS staff member.

Fortunately for me, I’m on the right side of this thing, and whatever declare is forthcoming won’t be worth the paper (pixels?) it’s written on.

Which brings another point to mind. I haven’t moved. The church has. I’m still standing right where I’ve always stood – by LRH’s side. So are you all.

  201. Ronnie Bell

Thank you for validating what I’ve been feeling about this ‘home coming’, John. It’s exactly how I feel. Until recently, I didn’t know that there were so many of ‘my kind’ of people still around, or that most of them were outside in the light.

That has been one of the biggest revelations of all for me, and I am so happy to be here with you all.

  202. You have posted Incorrect data on Class XIIs.

Alex Sibersky only trained on Ls after we landed at Daytonna in the US. He was never an Apollo Class XII. He lasted less than 9 months after that before he departed and got declared.

Mike Mauerer had OKs to audit the Ls, he never completed the interneships and never graduated. He merely studied the courses. Likewise Quentin who only did the courses, no interneships.

David Mayo, Jeff Walker were original XIIs both declared by David Miscavige under the pretense and guise of figurehead “IJC” who rubberstamps and uses his figurehood name when ordered to declare someone by OSA who is ordered to declare someone by RTC who is ordered by “Office of COB”.

Now and again a local person might get declared by order of OSA INT, but in the main, especially on a veteran, celebrity or high profile Scientologist it is always David Miscavige’s order.

Yes, he is a profound LIAR even at INT events on tape, Yes he is a street bully ~~ punching, beating, assaulting, ~~ yes he orders sadistic acts and others to beat others, (even for 2 hours as Debbie Cook testified to) Yes, he laughs at acts of torture he commands, yes he has ordered Mark Nelson to lick the bathroom floor for 2 hours

    BUT

He apparently feels he has the Moral Authority to state who is a Suppressive Person !

  203. I don’t think Neil’s question could possibly have been answered any better – what a beautiful, accurate, and truthful statement!

  204. I just want to point out something very obvious here. Something really big is happening. We are accelerating towards a tipping point. While I was still in the SO I kept in touch with the outside world and I had a library card and often spent my CSP time in book stores. I red two books that are very applicable for what we are witnessing with the independent movement. One was Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell and the other one is Linked by Albert Laszlo Barabasi. These books wonderfully explain with pure, easily digestible science and logic the process of reaching a tipping point where a sudden change will happen. The indicators are clearly there. Science is behind us my friends.

  205. Ronnie Bell

Pat, I remember attending a big event at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles maybe 12 years ago. When my wife and I noticed that the staff had blocked the exits, I went through a whole series of disagreements, and an intense feeling of outrage.

How dare they? And what about the potential safety hazards involved with that? My God, my two toddlers were outside the main hall in a space set up for child care!

I took my wife by the hand, and walked over to the reg area, where I made it known in a loud voice that I didn’t have any money, and that I was going to retrieve my kids. We turned around and headed toward the exit, where we brushed aside the staff member manning the door, and got our children.

It was the last major event we ever attended.

  206. Ronnie Bell

Excellent write-up, you laid it all out perfectly.

Thanks for saying that, Luis, but your write-up is the Gold Standard that I attempted to live up to. I can only imagine the avalanche of acks you’ve received for that awesome piece of work. It helped inspire me to craft my own.

    Thank you!

  207. Ronnie Bell

…i’m free of the Vulture Culture, free of the endless phone calls for $$, free of the David Miscavige’s hypnotic events, free of the PTS-ness, free to think, to look, to take my own decision and free to choose who are my friends!
Life is good again and playing it without insanity is a joy by it self!

I’m almost there, my friend. I’m still puzzling over this curious bright light that’s bathing me all over 🙂

  209. Ronnie Bell

I liked your viewpoint that you choose to “remain” in the group that’s true to LRH. You’re not leaving. It’s the Church that left you.

Thank you for noticing that. It was a fact-based write-up, so I didn’t want to belabor that point, but it’s one of the most important points I wanted to communicate. I’ve never swerved or deviated in my allegiance to LRH, or the Standard Tech of Scientology. Others have.

For the longest time, I was dummied into believing that only squirrels and SPs were outside the corporate church. I really had no idea that a revolution of the white hats was underway outside the corporation.

My response to that dummied condition was to quietly withdraw into my first and second dynamics and work. I knew what I was seeing and experiencing, but I had no answers that would help me to as-is it. That is, until Debbie Cook stepped up and made her famous statement. Once I got a look at it, the blinders came off, and I was on an unstoppable path into the light of truth.

Thank God for Marty, Mike, Steve, and Debbie. I would never have made it out without them.

  210. Ronnie Bell

That is one hell of a Magnum Opus! Like a hot knife through warm butter. Thanks!

You’re most welcome, Tom. Thank you so much for the enthusiastic ack.

  211. Ronnie Bell

Yvonne, I’m honored that you’re responding to me. My hat went off to you, when you ran for office. I was pleased as punch to finally see a Scientologist of your stature taking such enormous responsibility. That took guts, and I salute you for it. You’re definitely an Operatin’ Texan 🙂

I very much appreciate your kind words. They mean a lot, coming from an OL such as yourself. Thank you!

  212. Ronnie Bell

The reading of your write up brought clear as a bell understanding and lit up many of the dark counters not often observed, or recognized.

Wow. Thank you. That’s exactly the product I was looking for.

  213. an OT7 Free Being

Karen, Thank you for the corrected data and the additional data. You were there and I wasn’t.

  214. Ronnie Bell

Thank you so much for the very kind acknowledgements, Frank.

I’ve been posting to political boards for some ten years now, and have had a lot of practice at fully fleshing out an argument, and presenting the facts, less H,E,&R. It’s no more than simple application of The Way to Happiness precepts.

I suppose that I’ve grown accustomed to presenting a comprehensive argument in such a fashion. Honing that skill has helped me to win the day in more discussions than I can relate, and has enabled me to help others see fresh viewpoints, as well.

    Thank you for noticing.

  215. Bruce Pratt

That’s Operatin’ Texan mind ya. 🙂

  216. Many thanks Ronnie and Marty.

It would be much appreciated if anyone could explain for a fascinated non-scientologist, trying to make sense of the seas of conflicting information:

    – what are the key benefits that Scientology at its best has to offer ?
    – how consistently are these benefits typically achieved / maintained ?
    – what resources ( time, money, other ) are required for an individual to achieve & maintain these benefits ?

Alternatively, if there are better questions I could be asking, please feel free to substitute.

  217. Ronnie Bell

Theo, I just know we’ve crossed paths somewhere before. The first time I saw your name here, I thought I recognized you.

    Anyway, you said:

I said it before, we are now hundreds, getting into the thousands. All we need to do is keep acting as a team of independent and free teammates.

That is actually a VERY large concept for people who are new to Independent Scientology. It may be old news to those of you who have been out for a while, but I assure you that it’s Big News to many who are just now poking their heads into the light.

Most who are still living under the silent suppress of corporate Scientology have no idea that thousands of their brethren are quietly withdrawing their support of DM’s failing agenda, and are stepping away from association with that PTS organization. What they don’t yet realize, is that thousands are coming up to present time with all of this, and are asserting that it’s the church that has moved – not them.

  218. Ronnie Bell

I’d bet others will read this and unless they are completely blind will board the train!

Thanks for the big ole howdy, Carol. I hope like heck that others will come into the light after reading my write-up. That’s the whole idea.

  219. Ronnie Bell

I loved the way you broke it down on why a person will or will not look.
It takes people like you to get this job done and I thank you for your courage and confront. Welcome to the free people.

Thank you, Tony. Believe me, I had help confronting everything. No one coached me, but after reading Debbie Cook’s email, and everything at Steve and Marty’s sites, what else could I do?

I’ve been looking askance at what’s wrong with our church for far too long. Once I got many of the facts that I hadn’t been apprised of, it was easy to unload in a write-up.

  220. martyrathbun09

Neil, just read through this blog – more than 700 articles, all your questions are answered within.

  221. Beautiful, succinct, informative, educational, honest, intelligent and…..it COMMUNICATES! (per LRH’s definition of art).

Thank you so much for that grand acknowledgement, Blue.

I’ve been an artist all my life, and have always been something of a wordsmith, but like many people, I rarely think much of it. That’s not to say that I don’t know that I do good work, but I guess I just don’t see it from the exterior viewpoint that others do. I do appreciate your view, though. Thank you.

  222. I’m definitely feeling it, Tony! Just putting my own Code of Honor in on all of this, is a great feeling.

  223. Thank you so much, Kay, and thank you for the big ol’ Texas welcome! Don’t know when we’ll get down to Austin, but we will. I’ll be sure to give everyone a holler before we get on the road.

Yes, putting in one’s Code of Honor is powerful magic. I’m feeling wonderful about finally getting all of that off my chest in public. It’s been gnawing at me for far too long.

  224. Hope to meet you at the party. Best to you. Kat

I haven’t had much time to read up on the big Indie party. Depending on where it’s going to be held, my family will definitely make it. It’ll be wonderful to meet and greet with so many excellent thetans.

  225. Thank you for the kind words, and the warm welcome, Roy.

…you should realize how effective that write-up will be on many many people.

I’m certainly hoping that that write-up will help others to see the truth of what’s occurred in our church. It feels good to put my personal integrity in on this, and to do so in public.

It’s also a thrill to publicly stand with such an awesome group of high caliber individuals. Truth is, I’ve always been here. I just didn’t quite see it until recently.

  226. Very well said, Ronnie. I too had various things that weren’t sitting right with me, that I sort of vaguely thought would “get handled” some day. That’s how it was when the Old Man was around, but it appears we have to grow up now, eh? And as you say, once I got the facts, I was able to put it all together.

And also thank you for your write up. It is awesome.

  227. From the Code of Honor

Do not give or receive communication unless you yourself desire it.

That’s definitely a point I need to keep in mind. This is just Day One of my public Independence, and I have no idea what sort of effect I’ve created within the corporation. I have no idea whether I’ll be singled out for “special treatment”.

  228. When you receive emails from the Orgs, hit “reply” and then copy & paste Ronnie’s write-up into the body of the email. Send it off.

You know, I almost did that this morning, in response to (the umpteeth) email I got from Flag. Good suggestion!

  229. Thanks, Dickie. Much appreciated.

  230. Howdy, Catherine! Pleased to meet you.

I sure hope that I shot some lies all to hell. I love to shoot. I really miss living in the country, where I could shoot in my back yard anytime I pleased. I’ve really gotta get some range time in soon.

Thanks for the big ol’ Texas howdy!

  231. It is so comforting as it was experienced in the mid seventies that you referenced the tech, and quoted source. You did that and more. Thanks and welcome.

    Thank you, friend.

Being from the Class of 74, you know exactly how it used to be in our orgs. I can remember that the Academy had to set up tables in the parking lot at night, because there just wasn’t room for all of the students inside the building. Auditing space? Good luck! LOL

It’s so nice to be among a group of people who embody the very spirit of those times. I now know that it wasn’t just a dream that such days would return. Those who produced that miracle are right here in present time.

    Just wonderful!

  232. It refers to inappropriate emotions and reactions in particular. I believe it is defined as the ways a person acts out of his aberrations.

  233. Thank you, Sam. I’ve enjoyed your posts here. You always make me smile.

  234. …you have achieved a new benchmark in compelling and thoughtful analysis. VVWD sir.

Wow. That’s one huge ack, there. Thank you very, very much.

  235. As clear as a Ronnie Bell. Superb. Nice to meet you and I look forward to an “in person”.

  236. The Class of 73! You betcha!

    Thank you.

  237. He could nail it to the church door, but very few would see it because public are no longer walking through church doors. LOL!

  238. You’re most welcome, Ronnie, and thanks so much for the great ack. The future is brightening up, auditing and training are here and now.

  239. OneFlyingUpTheCuckoosNest

    Hey Ronnie-

Many see nothing—-hahahaha. I am glad you got up this morning.

  240. I just want to point out something very obvious here. Something really big is happening. We are accelerating towards a tipping point.

I sense that, too, Happy. I really do. Call it intuition, or theta perceptics, but the fact that an effective revolution is building, is perceivable. I clearly see that tipping point coming, and am glad that I could add just one more weight on that scale.

  241. I just found out that I’m number 276 on the Indie 500! Yahoo!

    The Indie 500

Come on y’all. There’s room for plenty more!

  242. Yeah, I’ve got Kirk, Teresa, and Meg on my friends list, as well. We talk once in a while, but I haven’t sent them my write-up. I sent it out to everyone I had an email address for, and figured that it will percolate through cyberspace. They’ll find out soon enough. Scientology is a small world (thanks to DM).

  243. Thanks, TFB. Much appreciated.

Compose an International Amnesty, eh? I’m glad you think so highly of my compositional skills, but I’ll bet there are far better people to handle that task than I. I’m sure they’re posting here today.

Speaking of that, I think it’s coming. Right after ole Dave get his hot day in the sun. There are going to be a ton of commendations all around when this is all over.

  244. Gee! I’d love to see your good stuff then.
    JM

  245. A most awesome reply to the question, Steve. Brilliant!

(Can I ride in your Corvette? LOL)

  246. Dittos…

  247. Neil, here’s my 2 cents as another non scientologist who has a fascination with spirituality, beliefs, religions, and philosophies. For simplicity I’ll use the term belief system to refer to all of them.

Rule #1: There is not one true belief system. Belief systems offer tools and inspiration and should be applied with the frame work of one’s own intergrity; if you find the application is compromising your integrity either the doctrine is wrong or you’re doing it wrong.

Rule #2: All belief systems are open to abuse by those who seek to use them to lead (manipulate) others.

  248. Congrats, Ronnie! Beautifully written and your observations really struck home.

  249. Ronnie, please ask that person to share the approach that they used to disseminate the truth, if you think it might help others of us here to effectively put the word out.

I’ve talked to her about it, and have thanked her for her very gentle approach. That’s what worked for me. She just never acknowledged my fear and out-of-valence reactions, but simply gave me time, then sent another gentle comm.

  250. That’s Operatin’ Texan mind ya.

Heh…you betcha! May it be on earth, as it is in Texas!

That is simply criminal, and violates everything LRH wrote on the subject of training auditors. If he were still on the line, heads would be rolling down LRH Way.

  252. Cont from previous coz my phone threw a wobbly and posted before I’d finished.

Addition Rule #2: All belief system are open to abuse… If someone tells you that your belief system insists you do some thing chances are they are trying to abuse you; often the abuse if far more subtle though.
Never blindly follow a belief system, always question it and especially question those who give orders in the name of it.

Rule #3: All belief systems contain inconsistencies because by their nature they’re complex and the author(s) change their nature as they grow leading them to reflect differently. In the case of multiple authors they never agree.

As to the church of scientology and LRH, I have my views and opinions but frankly they are moot by comparison to the realisation I hope I’m seeing here: that regardless of your choice of beliefs, inspiration and tools your life is your journey. It is up to you to make the best of it.

Okay so most here choose scientology as their tool set and LRH as their inspiration but the fact they’ve freed themselves from the church of scientology religion under Miscavige is a big step, one I hope will lead them on to make all their own choices.

As I’ve said before I have my own philosophy but as far as I’m concerned if you treat other people as you would like to be treated you can’t go too far wrong.

Having used belief system as a collective noun I must point out that religions are fossilised philosophies – philosophies are dynamic and evolve.

  253. Random Stranger

Yeah, younger or older, Dylan permeates to the essence of any deeply felt issue without even addressing it directly.

  254. Ronnie,

    Fabulous write up.

Like many before me, I just want you to know I very much appreciate the LRH reference:

“Religion of Scientology” and “Church of Scientology” shall not necessarily be coterminal.”

Great to see you here in the Indie movement…

I have been here in Marty’s “internet living room” for some time, but just signed up for the Indie 500 after reading your write up. Hope others are also inspired.

    Thanks,
    Robert Almblad

  255. I too had various things that weren’t sitting right with me, that I sort of vaguely thought would “get handled” some day. That’s how it was when the Old Man was around, but it appears we have to grow up now, eh?

Papa’s not on the scene anymore to root out and handle the bad hats. It’s up to all of us now. He left us every tool we need to accomplish it.

  256. Same here, Jim. It’s so nice to be among such an incredible group of high toned Scientologists. Feels just like home.

  257. Y’all are wecome! And you did definitely shoot some lies to hell. By the way, there were a number of us Indies that did some shooting at the Indie 4th of July party last year! It was great fun, and there are some real good shooters in the group! Since we were on private property, out in the country, we could do it. Don’t know if we’ll be able to shoot this year, since we’ll be at a resort. But glad to know that you like to shoot! I miss it, too.

  258. Thanks, Don. I had a pretty high bar to reach. Some pretty awesome write-ups have been published here. I’m glad that my write-up indicated to you.

  259. Is it true that David Miscavige gambles? How high? What kind of money does he use to gamble?

  260. Awesome write up, loved the Dianetic auditor comparison! Talk about orders of magnitude! This point quoted below is very real to me because I feel certain that the people I knew would not condone what is going on IF they looked. Welcome to Scientology!

“What I can tell you is that there are more of them than you might imagine. Secondly, the character and worthiness of the individuals making these reports is of the highest order. Many, if not most of these individuals, are highly trained and processed, and most have long careers of service on staff in the Sea Org and Class V orgs. In fact, you probably know many of these people personally.”

  261. “Common Sense in Scientology”…

Blessed are the parodies, for they show the truth with humor.

Yep, Karen, you’re still our #1 Guiding Angel!

    ΘTater/GaryLerner

  262. Having just finished this lecture, it is amazing how it describes David Miscavige’s intention to CUT communication, to alloy affinity and to deny reality. The prohibition of even looking at anything other than the drivel, and REVERSE Scientology BY DEFINITION. LRH gives a “process” below that is guaranteed to drive one down the Know to Mystery Scale.
“Scientology has moved up into a bracket of where one of its processes can process in reverse, right down to death or insanity, just as fast as it can go the other way. This is not a frightening fact, but it happens to be a true one. A Scientologist can handle life. Well, if he can handle life, he can certainly handle death.

“All right. Now; what would this process be? Be the one of the more interesting processes because it would sound to the preclear like you were running the most reasonable process under the sun. Because this is what he is doing and therefore this reasonable process would be acceptable by him and he would run it.

“Somebodywho had never heard me talk about this process, who had never heard it from anybody out in the field right now, would very happily run this process for you: “Give me some things you do not have to be in ARC with.”

“And they’re just sure that there will be an end to this somewhere. There will be a stop to this somewhere. And somewhere on down the line, why, all of a sudden the ridges they’re accumulating and this horrible mass they’re getting into and this terrific anger they’re going down into or this grief they’re going down into will suddenly alleviate. They’ll think this will be a very good thing, you see. “Look at all the charge I am building up here and I’m going to spill.” They never spill it. It just gets more and more and worse and worse. They
go down the Tone Scale.” Solution to Entrapment Series, Elementary Material: Know to Mystery Scale, 7 January 1955.

  263. Ronnie, LRH would be very very proud of you! Thank you for your awareness and integrity.

Welcome to the show that never ends – Independent LRH Scientology!

    Love and ARC,
    Gary

  264. OT7 Free Being 🙂

  265. I have been here in Marty’s “internet living room” for some time, but just signed up for the Indie 500 after reading your write up.

Ok! Now I feel like I’m starting to get a product. I hope that many, many others follow my example, and stand up for truth and LRH. Now’s the time. It won’t count count for much, after the heavy lifting’s been done.

  266. This is THE proven way to get off their lists. They’ll even take you off the postal mailing lists. Once I started sending blog posts in reply, I was taken off all their lists at warp speed.
I still get an occasional one from just one org; don’t know why. No, Miscavige I’m not telling you which one. You know it just dawned on me that maybe the sender likes reading the blog posts I send. God, is that funny or what.

    Ronnie Bell,
My heart and conscience is lighter now. I am so happy to see you here and to read your posting. From late 2006 I was prevented from helping any public, there was no longer any FOLO Tours activities. Ultimately I was routed out in Sept 2007 as medically unfit for the S.O. Not sure what Martin is doing these days, but when I sent him my Doubt formula he politely disconnected from me. I hope your family is well and send you all love and good wishes.

    Friends,

I just happened on the following quote:

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”
    –Thomas Edison

Independent Scientologists represent the quintessential quality of success.

As such, we’ll carry on. And it’s wonderful.

  269. I feel certain that the people I knew would not condone what is going on IF they looked.

And THAT is where we separate the wheat from the chaff.

A person has to be willing to LOOK, before they can see. Sadly, not all have granted themselves permission to do so. Yet even those people know in their hearts, that all is not well within the group.

I just had a dear friend email her response to my write-up. She asked me to remove her name from my contacts list, and told me that she’s routed my write-up uplines, calling it a “suppressive act”. I think it’s unfortunate that she viewed my write-up in that way. I can’t believe that she actually read the whole thing, then came to that conclusion.

I takes a bit of courage to look. Not everyone is up to the task, just yet.

    Hi all-
I just got an email from a friend telling me that at one of the Scientology homes in Los Feliz- some of you might know it- its on Franklin Ave, East of Vermont in Los Angeles, no one is allowed to watch TV. They’ve unplugged the TV so nobody could see Debbie Cook on TV!

    LOL!!!

How I’m going to ride out this storm:

    1) Offer Debbie and Wayne 50 tons of crazy money.

    2) Frame her lawyer.

    3) Get more denial affidavits.

    4) Let Heber out of the Flunky Hole and parade him around.

    5) Let Yager’s wounds heal so I can parade him around, too.

    6) Assign Leserve to the Flunky Hole’s RPF’S RPF for his stupid performance on Anderson Cooper, until he can get his TR Zero in.

    7) As soon as Tommy Davis gets out of the Flunky Hole, buy him a motorcycle for at least trying to commandeer the comm cycle on Anderson Cooper.

    8) Ferret out one of Baumgauten’s relatives who’ll help me frame and blackmail him.

    9) Buy a ton of advertising on all the major TV news channels.

    10) Keep expanding with these really cool Ideal Orgs.

    11) Increase the ethics penalties for looking at the internet.

    12) Ask Tom to help me with my PR.

    13) Check on my personal funds in the Cayman Islands.

    14) Optional: Hold news conference with Tom, JT, Kirsti, that stupid Bart Simpson girl, Louis Farrakahn, Lisa Marie, that famous bass player guy, Chick, Al Sharpton, Jason Lee, Will Smith, Catherine Bell, Anne Archer, Karen Black, Grant Cardone, Erika Christensen, Jenna Elfman, Doug E. Fresh, Geoffrey Lewis, Jim Meskimen, Bijou Phillips, Priscilla Presley, Kelly Preston, Giovanni Ribisi, Michael D. Roberts, Ethan Suplee, David Singer, Greta, Edgar Winter , Beck, Juliette Lewis, Mark Isham, Katie Holmes, Peaches Geldof and Sky Dayton and have them state how excellent a person I am and they are in shock that anyone would accuse me of such a horrendous thing as physical violence because they’ve never met a kinder, more caring, more compassionate, more competent leader of leaders than I.

    15) Make a new PR video showing the tremendous amenities for staff at the International Scientology Headquarters. (include footage of bathrooms, swimming pool, canteen, golf course, etc.)

    16) Dig up more crimes on everyone.

    17) Get an affidavit from that guy I hit yesterday.

    18) Take the bars off the Flunky Hole windows again.

    19) Remove razor wire near the front gate.

    20) Work on improving my body language and voice even more.

    21) Sign up for that next level of the Dale Carnegie Online Advanced Speech Class.

    22) See if Rathbun or Rinder have changed their minds about that money yet.

    23) See if Travolta wants to fly somewhere to help some third world nation with some crisis so I can get the PR footage.

    24) Buy back that video footage of Debbie Cook standing in the trash can being harangued.

    25) Quadruple check with that Constitutional lawyer and that IRS guy to make sure I really am protected.

After reading your write up I was struck by how much looking you did. I don’t know what got you started looking, but man did you look, and look and look. VWD!!!

I am over joyed you took the time to get this data of yours on paper. For me it was like the SHOCK & AWE of doubt formulas.

    COB DIRECTIVE

Since the SPs have destroyed the good name of Church of Scientology, and tarnished the name of the Religious Technology Center and thus my name and through association they have spoiled the name, Church of Spiritual Technology and seeing that we have the only workable technology on the planet and are the only ones who can do anything at the scene of a car accident or fire or terrorist threat (such as the drill we just experienced with the Columbian Navy where we brought them in and showed them how to really address a terrorist threat) or argument or overdue library books, I have started a new church, The Church of Spirituality.

The Church of Spirituality owns the Church of Spiritual Technology which owns the Religious Technology Center which owns the Church of Scientology which owns its staff and parishioners and the whole thing is owned by a file drawer corporation which I’m the only holder of so I can protect the technology from suppressives.

From this moment on, no other person has the right to call themselves, ‘Spiritual’. We will protect this right and defend against all intruders who do not have the money to prove their dedication and ability to make things go right. Those people are losers who will lose us right into oblivion, where the Ideal Orgs disappear and are replaced with shoddy buildings and half-ass celebrity wanna-bees, financial trouble, bad PR, less growth and misunderstandings of what we’re trying to do.

Tom Cruise agrees with me 100% and you know how influential he is, particularly with our most dedicated parishioners who’ve seen all his action movies.

I expect full and complete compliance with everything mentioned in this directive by the end of the day, today.

    Ronnie,

From memory, the most significant quote from LRH that has impacted my life is:

‘Look, don’t think. Feeling is a condensation of looking, And thinking is a condensation of feeling. So look, don’t think.’

  275. Thoughtful. Thank you. I appreciate the length you have gone to.

I wonder is it possible to take this conversation with yourself, Ronnie, Marty and anyone else who is interested just a little bit further. I think it could be of great benefit to how Scientology is perceived by outsiders.

My current thinking re whether fact/fiction, strengths/weaknesses & claims of human rights abuses … are relevant in relation to any inventor, depends, I believe, on the:
    – nature of the invention
    – potential consequences for those affected by it.

    For example, if
    a) I were considering buying a sweeping brush, I would be most unlikely to give any thought to the personal profile of the inventor. If it does the job, it does the job. And if it doesn’t, it’s most likely no big deal.

    However, if
    b) I were considering investing a considerable part of my life, aspirations, resources … in a new venture for which great claims for me and for humanity were being made, and it were not possible to establish the truth of those claims at the outset, then I most likely would be very interested in some aspects of the personal profile of the inventor (without expecting him to be any sort of perfect being).

Being aware of some of the conflicting claims that abound, I haven’t yet got any sense of clarity on this in relation to LRH and Scientology. If I’m understanding you, Ronnie and Marty correctly, I don’t think you’re saying either a or b.

From an outsider’s unavoidably limited view of Scientology, I think this is a very important area. If anyone can shed any further light on it, I suspect it would be a great help.

  276. Karla,
I’ve got a feeling that no children will be allowed to read or be read any children’s stories, in case Debbie Cook is in one of them. Soon it will be forbidden to read anything, even a cereal box at breakfast, in case Debbie Cook’s email is printed in the ingredients.

No cook books, that’s a given. No movies with Debbie’s in them. And soon, they’ll be wrapped up like a molecule. Unaware of anything and just pushed along by whatever pushes.

  277. Ronnie, your story reminded me how much that personal comm line to LRH meant. He really cared about all Scientologists and took the time to let them know they were important.

There was one letter that I had sent him as a fledgling staff member still learning the ropes of applying tech to my life and post. In it I mentioned to him that I liked a particular photo of him as it helped to keep me honest. I told him I’d torn it out of a magazine, framed it and posted it on the wall above my desk. I told him it always seemed to communicate to me. Sometimes if I had done something I shouldn’t have, the look in the picture seemed to communicate a mild disappointment but when I did something I knew was right, the look communicated that he was proud of me. I was surprised, pleased as hell and felt fully duplicated when I received that same print signed by Ron with a short note just a few weeks later.

Having the tech, we will always have that comm line with him. It is my belief that he knows what is happening and is pleased that we are taking things back into our control, preserving the tech he gave us. It’s almost like we are doing our real life practical on how would you apply KSW for real.

  278. Ronnie Bell

Ronnie, LRH would be very very proud of you!

I said upthread, that I hope that wherever he is, the old man has gotten my comm, and is quietly giving me a VWD. I really want him to know that I have never abandoned him, nor my allegiance to the true tech of Scientology.

    Thank you!

  279. Ronnie Bell

My heart and conscience is lighter now. I am so happy to see you here and to read your posting.

Thank you, Eileen. That means a lot to me. You were instrumental in helping me to gain an even greater degree of certainty on my Clear status than I had after the CCRD. I want to thank you for putting me in the right place so that could happen. It was a wonderful and totally validative experience.

Much love to you, and I’m so happy to be here with you.

  280. Robert Earle

Excellent reference Jim. Sure does hit the nail on the head when it comes to Miscaviges actions. Thanks.

  281. Ronnie Bell

I don’t know what got you started looking, but man did you look, and look and look. VWD!!!

    Thank you, Jack.

Well, I did look, and look, and look, but that’s all I did for years and years. I didn’t have a ready answer to the many outpoints which I was observing. None of it made sense, and it all just sort of rolled up into a ball that I didn’t know how to pick apart.

Giving myself permission to read Debbie Cook’s famous email, is what finally loosened the blinders for me. Once I did that, the friend who sent it to me, provided the web address for Marty’s site, and the rest is history. I read non-stop, for 27 hours, the first day I landed here. I simply could not stop reading the huge mass of reports from the intelligent, upstanding Scientologists here.

After about two weeks of daily reading, I felt like I’d seen enough to step up and do the right thing myself. I just could not do otherwise, seeing the great amount of responsibility that others here have taken.

Thanks so much for your kind words. It’s good to be home.

  282. Well done Ronnie, good to see. It inspired me to put my name on the 500 list.
I fell out with the phoney Church with the GAT – it didn’t work then and it doesn’t work now. I scratched my head for many years in wonder why such a departure from KSW Policy was so easily absorbed. Much on this blog has explained the issue and the comm lag (or the acceptance of the lies) within the 3rd Dynamic.
The interesting issue at stake here is that the game is really only just beginning with the data we have; eternity is thataway ->
Life doesn’t take holidays, Miscavige and his ilk just makes things messy.

  283. Karla,
Does that mean that You Tube is blocked too?

  284. Robert Earle

Well done. I just checked the list and noticed we have good number of new names there. As you said Ronnie there’s definately room for plenty more.

    Very Well Done!

Karen, please see my reply to your post below. I think I hit the wrong reply button when I posted to you. Thanks!

  289. Ronnie,

I have to tell you that your write up is a thing of beauty. Truly a comprehensive, cogent and honest look and the continuing decline of the C of S under the suppressive influence of Miscavige. Thank you for putting in all of the work and due-diligence to generate this fantastic “Things That Shouldn’t Be” report.

As for why people go into “tacit agreement” with the likes of Miscavige? Some believe in institutionalization and super-regulation of human behavior.

    Others, not so much…

  290. Ronnie Bell

‘Look, don’t think. Feeling is a condensation of looking, And thinking is a condensation of feeling. So look, don’t think.’

I remember running across something similar by LRH a long time ago, where he indicated that thinking is a low order of beingness. It rang true to me then, and affected me deeply. I don’t think I’ve done a whole lot of thinking, since.

  291. Ronnie Bell

Thanks for putting your name on the Indie 500 list, Sherb. The more people that stand up, the more others will find the courage to do likewise. I’m in debt to those who’ve stood before me.

The interesting issue at stake here is that the game is really only just beginning with the data we have; eternity is thataway ->

    Love that!

Thanks Ronnie for such a great summary. I now have all the references in one nice blog entry for use in responding to my ultimate declare notification.

Other posters have already written so much of what I feel so I will just saw +1000 to theirs and thank you. Welcome to the bastion of the free beings of the world. Freedom to be, to do and to have. Freedom to read, understand and apply the tech LRH left us without interpretation or enforced conclusions.

  300. Ronnie,

    VVWD!!! You are an inspiration!

    Thank you and continue!

You have enough common sense to make it clear as a Bell.

When David finally falls off of his perch and finds himself moraly, personally and corporately bankrupt, it is going to take a lot of competent people to catch the pieces and contain the confusion. With your resume, you should consider grabbing the hat of being the property manager of all those empty buildings to give other competent people some time to fill them up with auditors and PCs. Tons of work to be done.

  302. “The bar is very high in this group.”
Amen to that Ronnie – I always think twice – and maybe thrice before I dare to speak in these hallowed halls – these guys know their stuff and will let you know in a heartbeat if you are not right on the money.
This place is like QUAL for the Universe – right here. I and I love that it is so. It brings me hope !

  303. Hi, Bob,
I was on the FEBC program along with you, and I think you were doing KTL at the same time as I did my KTL, though you were ahead of me (did you twin with Vicky Dickie, or is my memory hazy on that point?)

Anyway, my real name is Ulf Samuelsson and I started on staff in Gothenburgh 1989, then got sent on the FEBC program in 1991. I later got recruited for translations in May 1992, and I arrived to Gold in July 1992. I routed out and left Gold at the end of November 1997. Not a moment too early.

I have been writing here now and then under the name Smeso, but I will write under my own name from now on. I told Steve Hall the reason why I haven’t been using my real name earlier when I sent him my application to the Indy 500 list.

    Who’s next?

  304. Ronnie,
I have read this thread for hours over the last couple of days, and what shines through very clearly is that you ARE an auditor already. Your comm cycles will all of those who have responded here have been PERFECT. Your TRs are so good that it comes across in this written form without a doubt. I don’t know what auditor training you have completed thus far, but I can tell you this: it will not take you long to be winning in the chair as an auditor should you choose to become one.
And I highly recommend that path to everyone. Some of my biggest wins on the bridge have been on the driver’s side of the E-Meter.

  305. Oops:
“Your comm cycles will all of those who have responded here have been PERFECT.”
    Should have read:
“Your comm cycles with all of those who have responded here have been PERFECT.”

  306. Hi Neil, Good questions and sincere ones. The philosophy doesn’t ask anyone to make any kind of commitment. It consists of tools that you can read and apply to life to help people and yourself. Nobody “joins” Scientology like they do other organizations or religions. They read a book, usually. And they come to their own conclusions — like Marty said, the philosophy generally resonates with people. If one day you decide you want to be a Scientologist, then you are. Just like that. You don’t have to do a course or gain anyone’s permission. If you don’t want to call yourself a Scientologist, you don’t have to. You can ignore what the Church does — they are crazy. You have to dismiss them. But the philosophy — spectacular. Used Scientology books are available pretty cheap if you know where to look. Here on this website and on mine (scientology-cult.com) we are mainly involved in exposing the mad tyrant who is destroying Scientology and harming thousands of people. If we are lucky, we will get rid of him soon and follow up by cleaning out all the corrupt pockets of disease inside the Church and eventually get it doing what it was supposed to be doing all along before it turned into a Gestapo: helping people. At that point these websites will no longer be needed and we can shift gears back into simply talking about what LRH’s discoveries are and how to use them to improve your life and the lives of people you care about. Thanks for asking such great questions and good luck to you.

  307. yep – that’s kinda cool…

  308. If Ronnie doesn’t mind, I have the series of emails where Ronnie started to read articles in depth. They are inspiring because you see truth dawning and Scientology coming back to life in his universe, the way it was alive for us in the 1970s before the long, bitter winter when we lost LRH and Mary Sue, and lost our way in the gloom darkness…

It is the springtime of my loving
The second season I am to know
You are the sunlight in my growing
So little warmth I’ve felt before
It isn’t hard to feel me glowing
I watched the fire that grew so low

It is the summer of my smiles
Flee from me, keepers of the gloom
Speak to me only with your eyes
It is to you I give this tune
    Ain’t so hard to recognise
These things are clear to all from time to time

    Oh, talk, talk —
I felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go
I cursed the gloom that set upon us
But I know that I love you so
But I know that I love you so

These are the seasons of emotion
And like the wind they rise and fall
This is the wonder of devotion
I see the torch we all must hold
This is the mystery of the quotient
Upon us all a little rain must fall
    Just a little rain

  309. Ronnie, writing and publishing this write up IS a deed.

When the sun’s just right, there’s a little of L. Ron Hubbard in the shadow of every Independent Scientologist. And a lot more of him in their hearts.

We are pulling this thing out of the fire. We are a group now. Can you feel the bonds?

  310. Excellent work Ronnie! You spent a great deal of time and effort and put it all together into a total package. We should print it out and send it to our people still drinking the Kool-aid. Thank you so much!

  311. “Thank God for Marty, Mike, Steve, and Debbie. I would never have made it out without them.”

That is so true, I believe, for many of us here. Thanks for saying that.

  312. Dean. Thank you. I missed your post earlier.

  313. I wondered if this might be Dickie Conn and I’m thinkin’ it is – after seeing your name on Steve Halls list.

Terrific. Another OTVIII … and former SO member … and upstat Northern CA scientologist.

    Love,
    WH

  314. Neil, what I got out of Scientology in a nutshell, for me, was being able to directly look at things within myself and outside myself and resolve problems and find answers.
I left the Church in the eighties but there are still things I love about what I learned that I still apply.
Another big one for me that I learned from Ron was the incredible power of listening to others. Its a revelation to know that perfect listening can actually bring another person to realizations and resolutions about themselves. Just by perfect listening.

  315. Wow! That was interesting. Advertising on nursery rhyme channel! They mus be sending recruiters in for CMO staff.

  316. I am thinking, when all is said and done, some of us here on the “outside” have had some losses.

All of this protest is still an attempt to “win”. Why shouldn’t we? Isn’t that what we bought into?

When you beat, torture, run can’t haves and berate people, are you setting them up for a win or a loss?

David, you have insisted on having losers in this game. We are all a product of your postulates.

You are on a determined path to ensure the lot of us will LOSE. Well how fucking sane is that? Are you not at least supposed to be pan determined?

O.K. the leader of the Church is not a pan determined human being. Well that explains a lot!

What would give him a big win this year? If we all got registered as road kill!

This is the man who has taken command of the “Free Earth” drill. He has his own mates on lock down! He wants his own commarades dead and on lock down. What kind of leader is that? A competent leader would ensure EVERYBODY on his team WINS in the game.

He fucked up. He fucked up to the point that there are more losers than winners! That is really fucking up! Go to ESMB and listen to the moans of the vets crippled in this war. They matter. If you think they do not matter you are falling into the same bag of dismissing people who trusted. That is not cool. Everybody was supposed to win in this game. I am not making excuses for those that did not. They bought in with hope. That hope should have been realized. David and his Church blow it all off as “people who did not matter”. They DO matter. I matter. We matter. And it was up to him as a leader to make everyone matter. I do not care about the Abra caddabra he did legally with the corporations the money whatever. He could have done it all and made everyone matter and win.

The point is, he took the whole theater to a place where he was the only one that mattered, and that is where he blew it.

The reason Marty is winning in this battle, is because he includes others as people that matter. I myself have been thrown under the bus as someone who did not really matter. And it has been run on me by others who had it run on them. When people’s children do not matter we have really hit a road block.

And I will tell you right now this battle will all go to Marty’s court in the long run because of one datum only. Marty consents that other people matter.
David only thinks that he matters.

And this is a real make break issue.

If nobody matters around DM, they will not and his power will fold.

If everybody matters around Marty, his power will grow because it all matters.

How elementary can you get? This does not take a rocket scientist!

David destroys the power at his disposal by making nothing out of it! It does not matter! Only he matters! Keep at it David and do not let me get in your way! It is the power you rejected that has come back to haunt you like a virus. You are only still obsessed with making nothing out of it, yet , now you cannot take your eyes off of it for fear that it has risen greater than you.

    This out does Shakespeare .

  318. Hello Ulf!! Welcome. Good to have you here!

  319. Not that anything I could say would matter. Not to a man with so many slaves and so much money and so little time to benefit from all of it. Unless I mentioned that I too, had made the same mistakes and learned from it because I was willing to confront wrongness and failure.

  320. Firebreathing Frog

    Great write up.
Part of your story so close to mine, brought tears to my eyes.
Also started Scientology on an HAS course in 1978, is an org so booming, you could hardly find any place to sit.
If you would go to the toilet in the middle of the course, by the time you’d come back, your place was taken by another students.
Tons of people training, 1000 of WDAH.
And Dear Leader have the balls to claim “more expansion in the last year alone than all the previous billion years combined.”
I start doing my write up now.

  321. CrashingUpwards

Oracle, Great points. First, there is a lot of pain in the other forums and we need to recognize its sources, acknowledge it, and remember it going forward. Secondly, the power formula is being grossly violated by DM. He has taken power from LRH and the tech and returned only an altered product and ruined reputation. From the Scientology community and staff he has financially bled them dry, flowed to them no power and blown up the bridge in key spots. He is thus left isolated and stranded on an island and the water is rising. Sadly, there are others stranded on the island with him who are looking for a way to save themselves and do not know how. Fortunately, the Royal Scotsman and Avon River have been put back into service and are on their way with a lot of their original crew and other seasoned staff veterans in the hope of finding survivors. Stay tuned.

  322. Hi Gary, don’t know if you have commented here with your name before, but if not, welcome! Nice to know who you are and what you have done. I hope you are using your technical skills to help others in the Indie field. Case Supervisors are extremely valuable, as are those who can establish organizations, especially on the frontier of “new people”.

Hi Ulf ! Nice to see you here.
Yes I’m the one you recall as stated above.
Thanks for the update on where you went from ITO in 92, I do remember you as well.
Well done on joining the Indy 500 club .
Perhaps we will collect up some more of the OEC/FEBC trainees from that time on the Indy list as well as here on Marty’s blog.
    Any takers on this offer?

  324. Robert Earle

    Welcome aboard.

  325. Thanks for the link to the news in France. A COUNTRY IS GOING AFTER SCIENTOLOGY AS A GROUP, BUT ALL THE CHURCH CAN DO IS SUE DEBBIE COOK? This is an extreme altered importance, and stupid, and I know that if Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder were handling things for the Church, the situation in France would never have been allowed to go that far. More proof that David Miscavige doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the reputation and standing of the Church of Scientology and L. Ron Hubbard. Excuse my language, that is a phrase I never use, and it is not lady-like, but it is the truth, and I am being sudden right now. He has gotten rid of the people who kept him out of trouble. The personnel he has left to handle things are bumbling stooges. You are right, he killed his own power, because he was the only one that mattered, and seems to be totally unable to apply the first and third dynamic power formulas, with the exception of being able to be ruthless. That one factor, he has down cold.

Thank you also for your moving commentary on the fact that nobody else seems to matter to David Miscavige. I have often said he is an “only one”, but you have described this in detail in such a way that it is much more real to me, the lives he has hurt and the damage he has done. I am still repairing my own life, after getting my son back, but have realizations every day about how things could have been different for me and others if the correct technology had been applied. I was also thrown under the bus, and my son was the one who paid the dearest price for this. I sat around for many years, doing nothing effective about my life and situation, and the Indie movement got me going again.

The wonderful thing about being an Indie is that one still has a chance to get the correct technology applied. Those still in the Church do not have that opportunity, unless they can read some unaltered version of what LRH has written, and apply it directly to their lives. I am certain the wins of those still in the Church, are this kind of win. I am very thankful that I got most of my auditing and training in the Church before David Miscavige took over, and it was wonderful beyond belief. Those wins and gains gave me a belief in the validity of the philosophy and its applications, that no person, agency, or church, can take away.

You matter to me, Oracle, and I hope that you are able to use the appropriate LRH tech to repair your life, also. That is the incredible part of being an INDIE. WE ARE FREE TO USE THE TECHNOLOGY WITH NO RESTRICTIONS. We can apply any part of it, any day of our lives, as we see fit, with no invalidation, no evaluation, just plain and simple: READ IT, DRILL IT, DO IT. I handled the situation with my son using LRH PR Series 18, HOW TO HANDLE BLACK PROPAGANDA, and simple TR’s. (Training Routines, drills that teach basic communication skills.) I went from being a total effect of this situation, to a very causative position. I notice Debbie Cook and her lawyer are using a similar strategy in handling her situation with the Church. I was scared to death to do what I did, but at that point I felt I had nothing to lose. I kept expecting the Black SUV’s to show up outside my door, but they never did. (Actually one did show up one morning, but it was just someone waiting to give a neighbor a ride, LOL.) My point is that the technology and policies that LRH has given us, WORK, even when we are scared out of our minds, and we just have to choose the ones that apply to the situations that we find ourselves in, and USE them.

One of the realizations that I had from your comment was a deepening idea of how much that L. RON HUBBARD CARED ABOUT PEOPLE, and how much they MATTERED to him. Every piece of the technology was developed in an effort to make SOMEONE ELSE’S LIFE BETTER. There is SO MUCH INFORMATION on how to make one’s life better, that the problem becomes finding out which piece of it should be used and applied to handle the situation one is in.

There are many Indies who are technically trained available to give help, advice, along with auditing and training. I got help from an Indie Class VIII, who didn’t charge me for her service, as money was an issue. I did a very simple program, and a few weeks/months later, was in an Affluence. So, help is available, if one is having trouble applying the correct technology. Most Indies would do anything to help a fellow Scientologist to get out of the soup, with or without a fee. We are all here for each other, and the value, help and assistance available to any Indie willing to reach for it, is beyond compare. We have a true community with no rivals anywhere, for love, friendship, assistance, communication, help, and caring. WE ARE THE NEW CIVILIZATION, AND WE ARE MAKING RON’S GOALS HAPPEN!

So, it took a few tire tracks across one’s back to get here, but we got here. Please e-mail if there is anything I can do to help. cvonach@gmail.com. Thanks for the reminder that there are still some of us under the bus!

  326. This was in response to The Oracle. Didn’t post under his comment.

  327. Replace the words Fed Reserve and put in David Miscavige’s name and OSA minions and it reads just as true. The principles are the same.

  328. I’ve been ‘hiding’ ’cause I’m owed money (10Gs) from ‘Scientologsts’. If I say who I am I get 0. Otherwise, I would put my name on that declaration. and help pin it to the walls. Very well done Ronnie. LRH would be proud of you.

  329. Ronnie Bell

Much appreciated, Scott. It feels good to see my work be given such high marks by people I respect and value so much. I’m very glad that I could add just a bit more weight toward tipping the scale back in the favor of good.

  330. Ronnie Bell

Thanks, SA. I really do need to get some shooting in. Problem is, my business has suddenly taken off like crazy (hmm….wonder why?).

Maybe I can sneak off to the range in a few weeks after things quiet down a bit. Thanks!

  331. Perphaps a video camera recording from the casino David Miscavige gambles at in the Bahamas posted to the internet might convince you. 🙂 He gambles at the casino in Nassua when the Freewinds is docked there with money pilfered from the ship’s guests. Trying to imagine LRH even conceiving of such a thing CLARIFIES the kind of sociopath David Miscavige is. Clearly. Yet he managed to become leader of the group. Not my group. Maybe his.

  332. That’s great Ronnie. As I was reading your report I thought “Thank goodness someone has finally come to their senses besides me!” 🙂 Your ability to communicate the truth to others is very great as well. No man is saint, but there is that rare individual that comes along and finds the route out of the trap, and LRH is there unequaled to this day. 🙂

  333. Ronnie Bell

    Hi Cre8 (cool nick!),

Yeah, it’s been a real kick keeping up with all of these responses, but I’m an old discussion board junkie, and sort of expected it. I’m just surprised and delighted that so many people think so much of my work. I really didn’t predict that it would be received so well. I am truly touched by the wonderful response.

I really do hope that my work travels far, and that it creates similar effects upon all that it touches. If I can help the healing process just a little bit, I will feel that I’ve achieved something of value with this.

    Thank you!

  334. 1) I would like to know who in france is liason to translations of Marthy ‘s Blog?
    2) Alain Rosenburg the guy mentioned in the french papers /and media was the head of the Celebrity Centre along with his wife Sara / I had personal contact with them for years / and got cut off.Who knows any link to locate them? Their family use to run a wealthy clothes business whether thats in tack haven’t a clue .If any one has a link or via some sort of tel email that could help lead to alain , to findout directly /I have a feeling quite frankly he would be diseffected by now. appreciate this asap.Thank you Hadley.

  335. Ronnie Bell

We should print it out and send it to our people still drinking the Kool-aid. Thank you so much!

Thank you, Gary. Please, be my guest! That write-up will do little good, simply making the rounds of the choir. The Kool-Aid drinkers are the ones who most need to see it.

I’d just ask that folks who do so, send both parts. The intro with the LRH quotes on personal integrity provides a gradient for the reader to step up to the meat and potatoes in the point by point write-up.

    Much appreciated, Commander!

  336. Ronnie Bell

And I will tell you right now this battle will all go to Marty’s court in the long run because of one datum only. Marty consents that other people matter.
David only thinks that he matters.

I believe what you say is true. Miscavige will lose in the end, because of his base motivations. He only cares about himself, and doesn’t give a whit how much others lose, so long as his own precious position is fed and protected.

An empire built on fear, mistrust, violence, force, greed, self-agrandizement, threat, and can’t haves – is pre-destined to fall. And fall, it will.

  337. Punpkin — Though I know nothing of your circumstances, but I just had to comment that if someone refuses to pay a valid debt based on your religious beliefs, they could be on the hook for a lot more than $10Gs…. That is not legal in any way, shape or form.

  338. Ronnie Bell

Part of your story so close to mine, brought tears to my eyes.
Also started Scientology on an HAS course in 1978, in an org so booming, you could hardly find any place to sit.

Thanks, fellow old timer. It’s up to those of us who experienced the joys of real, unadulterated Scientology to step up to the plate and push forward the movement to restore our beloved church to that beingness.

I’ve spoken openly with fellow Scientologists for years and years about that one huge outpoint. It feels very good to finally say it in a broad public issue. In my mind, that ideal scene is what the end product of this fight is all about. I would so love to report for course, and have to set up in a side room, because the course room is overflowing. That’s what I’m fighting for.

I’m glad that I helped inspire you to begin your own write-up. The more of us who do that, the easier it makes it for others to do the same. I believe that making the Independent environment safe, is key to getting our hidden brethren to stand in the light with us. It’s going to take a very large and vocal presence to force the needed changes in the corporate church.

  339. Of course.
    The same pattern, 100%

  340. This time in history should be a great study for exactly how to ruin an organization’s reputation completely. 1. – Deviate from original successful actions. 2. – Lie to and hide truth from staff, media and the public. 3. – Abuse people physically, mentally and financially. 4. – Kick out people standing up for doing the right thing and treating people with decency, so they go on to tell all of their family, friends and associates.

I’m sure there are many more things here not generally covered, but you get the point. Most on-lines public are afraid to disseminate because they’re either too embarrassed to admit they are part of the church or because they know their family and friends will not approve of the gross financial raping that occurs with every visit to the course room, the HGC, events, over the phone and even with suddenly-appearing people on your doorstep. Those who have left or been declared tell all of their associates about what is wrong, and the national and international media keeps away millions more. If word of mouth is the best form of PR, the reverse is also true, it will be the downfall of the organization. A bunch of empty buildings, a hugely ARCx field, and nothing but their own lies to defend themselves, which only makes things worse. It is the perfect storm of implosion, leaving all those out to try and salvage some sort of dignity and respect for the philosophy developed that can really help people.

  341. “I’m almost there”…
    Welcome Ronnie…There You are!
    🙂

  342. It appears Miscavige does not like the Indie 500 list. On Friday I received an OSA-stooge phone call, an email and one dirty op — my hushmail account was temporarily shut down for “violating” their terms of service which sounds like either an innocent mistake by hushmail or an OSA false report at work (and future foot bullet). So, flourish and prosper by keeping those names coming. The list already reads like a Who’s Who — veteran Scientologists, the highest trained auditors, staff with years of experience, ex RTC and Int base staff.

  343. Additionally, there is the factor, as LRH says, that public will stay away in droves from orgs that are not LRH (read on-Source) Orgs. Since King of the Squirrels Miscavige has remade the orgs into DM OFF SOURCE ORGS, it is no surprise the public stay away in droves.

  344. I would add to your list counter “inteligence” against defectors. Their only problem is that this is their type of “intelligence”:

  345. Mercury, I don’t mean to laugh all the time, I guess I do. I was just thinking about what would be a good name for David Miscavige and I came up with “Dotty”. 🙂 It is based on the kind of ignorant personality DM possesses and it is so funny. Say to DM – “Hi Dotty”. 🙂

  346. Kevin Tighe

Random comment: There is a pianist who performs nightly at one of our local restaurants. I’m told she is on OT VII and use to be a D of P at FSO. She plays classical music, broadway tunes, etc but only one rock song (at least when I’ve heard her): Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody! LOL!

Quentin, that’s a powerful post, and a great summary of the whole blasted situation. I would love to see you expand that post into a full-blown article. You’ve described the ongoing disaster within the church and the Scientologist field to a T.

I was just mentioning to my wife this morning how the Scientology field has greyed. When I first became a Scientologist in the early 70s, the average age of Scientologists was somewhere in the mid-twenties. The average age of Scientologists is now somewhere in the late forties, or early fifties. That reality speaks to an organization that isn’t attracting and keeping new members at a rate that is equal to, or greater than the rate that it’s losing them through natural attrition.

It doesn’t take a trained Data Series Evaluator to see what’s occurring. Something, (more like someone) is stopping the inflow of new bodies into the shop. And, the fact that the average age of church public has increased nearly two-fold, indicates that the suppress has been on the lines for a very, very long time.

Yet again, we see a simple, observable fact that puts the lie to all the distorted claims of “global expansion!” Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!!!

Oh my. Is someone feeling threatened by the sudden and increased expansion of the Independent field? Is the blistering white light of truth becoming a bit too warm? It must suck to see the cool and comforting darkness slipping away from one’s fortress of evil.

  349. Please keep keeping on.

  350. Ronnie

    Welcome.
    Very nicely done.
I very much enjoyed reading your writeup.
It is good to have you as part of this community.

    Eric S

  351. Thanks Lady Min. Don’t worry about me, I’m in a good place and have been on the bridge. The longest I was off the bridge was the six years I spent in the Sea Org. And I have others on the bridge too. It’s the others that matter to me and I just think this game was created for everyone in it to win. Not only one person. You matter to me too!

  352. Hi Frank,

I have been so totally out of contact with the CoS and anyone connected in or out of the church since the early 80s schism; I’m amazed I still understand the nomenclature. In the church I went from public to staff to FOLO back to staff and public. It was at FOLO I began witnessing a disenigration of the church. For years those who were witnessing and fighting back at the out-tech and off policy at our level by writing it up and reporting it, were then treated as criminals and declared left and right. At best nothing was being done. When I had had enough, I went into an ASHO examiner and formally resigned from the corporate church, making that distinction. Within days I began receiving phone calls from others requesting to know how and what I said to resign, I told them and then began hearing of other resignations. There were those of us that felt and knew something was really really wrong and feared for the loss of tech. Within a few weeks of resignations the OT levels were smuggled out of the church for preservation, in fact, I know the individual who did the smuggling. At that time the man I was married to, who had completed OTIII within the church, inspected the materials to assure they were authentic. Once these materials hit the field there was much fear and paranoia and with no comm line established, as it was pre-Internet, I guess we all just scattered to different corners of the earth. This blog is the first time I have had any real comm with Scientologists, independent or otherwise, in nearly 30 years.

Anyway, after your post to me I went to Scientology-cult.com and watched the videos of Steve Hall, Marty Rathbun, Amy Scobee, Jeff Hawkins, Gary Morehead and others. I now see what you are saying. Not only did all involved turn a blind eye and deaf ear to what was happening, they actively contributed to it themselves in some cases, and probably more than what has been disclosed. It was worse than I could ever have imagined. The violence experienced, witnessed, and committed against each other, then hidden, leaked out anyway. As I see it, one of the ways the trickle down effect of that abuse has been manifested was by wrong targeting those who were reporting the outnesses they saw in the church. OUTRAGEOS. And these people now are being touted as heros? Can someone please explain this to me?

  353. Ronnie Bell

    Very nicely done.
I very much enjoyed reading your writeup.

I appreciate that very much, Eric. It’s great to be home.

  354. martyrathbun09

I think you’ll need to explain it to yourself; if done so honestly, you’ll be happy.

  355. So true. That was part of the point of 1. above, but you have mentioned the exactness of it. Thank you.

  356. Part of the the reason for the aging population is that many of these people’s children have been recruited into the SO, treated horribly and blown/routed out. Those that stay in the SO adopt the punishment-drive viewpoint and that’s how you wind up with a 19 yr-old MAA believing it’s okay to demand for public to spend tens of thousands on donations as part of their “ethics cycles” and even arrival routing forms. All the while driving more and more people away. I’ve experienced many different staff and public situations various LA-area SO orgs, Flag and several Class V orgs in between. The outlook is grim, at best. Still having a tough time washing out the bitter taste of all the betrayal.

  357. Chris Black

“My name is Ronnie Bell. I am now, and will always be a Scientologist.”

Yowsa! Welcome back, Ronnie! The HAS course was my first course as well, also taken at the LA Org, Christmas of 1976. It was tough, and it made me a Scientologist. So I hear you! I’m very happy you’re here. Party’s in the next room! 🙂

  358. Chris Black

    Hey Eric,

A little birnie told me you were around. Nice to know. Say hi to the missus. I miss you both, but will try to see you this summer. Have fun meanwhile. 🙂

  359. Archerdeborahann – I’ve read a whole variety of stuff, but not so thoroughly or with sufficient background or understanding to justify the term ‘review’

  360. Many thanks to you all. I’m grateful for your responses

  361. Max Bleiweiss

    Hi Ronnie,
I guess my post yesterday got lost in the ether. I hope this one makes it.
I was on staff at L.A. Org from 1973-76, mostly course sup. Then SO
NWC Int 1980-85 (on the RPF from ’83-85, same time as Mike Rinder.)
I’ve been off lines for about 10 years and I had heard about the problems with Rinder and Rathbun but I didn’t really get my stable datums shaken
till the Debbie Cook interview the other day. That’s when I started to
research and found this blog and then your writeup. I am going through
quite a bit of anguish over this whole scene which I know everyone on
this site can sympathize with. I want to believe that everything I am reading
is not possible but it looks like I will have to confront what is so obviously
the truth. Your writeup helped me to do that and I thank you for it.
    Max

  362. your account still had something odd going on as of Sunday AM …?

  363. Chris

Yes, it has been a while. Good to see that you are auditing in the field.
At some point we will get to catch up for sure.

    Eric S

  364. Max

Take your time. There is a lot to digest. What I found is that as the dust settles one often gradually becomes more and more certain of oneself and more uptone.

You are welcome here. This is a good bunch of beings… perhaps some of the best you will ever find. Enjoy.

    Eric S

  365. Max Bleiweiss

    Thank you Eric S

  366. I can see your Reporter TRs are in use. Flunk, I’m not introverted. You are obviously incapable of dealing straight up with anyone yet, so I will just say this and be on my way. The CoS was not harmed by David Miscavige. It was actually harmed by those who carried out his orders, who knowingly, willingly and causatively did his bidding for decades. You failed to recognize and fight the real foe, instead you turned to and allowed reprehensible savaging of fellow Scientologists with malicious attacking, slandering and misrepresentation. This is tantamount to spiritual cannibalism. Miscavige gave the orders, yes, but you guys did the actual deeds. Certainly everyone confidently, consistently refusing to comply with his illegal, off policy, out-tech orders would have sent him into a psychotic break, at which point, all that it would have taken was a few minutes for security to walk him out of the org. If there was physical violence, a call to the police to have him arrested for assault and battery would have been appropriate. It may have taken a few more hours, maybe a couple of days for someone sane appointed to replace him. But obviously, no one lifted as much as a vocal cord to in the direction of responsibility. Instead you assigned that small little man even more altitude, directly proportionate to your fear. Then you scurried around like cowardly little mice in an effort to comply better and faster with his bidding to receive his approval. Until I learned the truth, I thought Debbie Cook’s actions were commendable. Now I realize they are nothing more than a defense of herself resulting from consequences of her actions and lack of actions over the years. Now, you sit around patting yourselves and each other on the back, treating each other as heroes, I think not. A hero is someone of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his/her brave deeds and noble qualities. There were no brave deeds done here and cowardess is not a noble quality.

  367. martyrathbun09

Easy for you to say from the bushes. Get a life punk.

  368. You fail at logic. The path of least resistance, the cowards’ way out, for these people would be one of quiet obscurity, to say nothing, to let David Miscavige’s church of scientology carry on unchallenged.

Confronting your past mistakes and misdeeds and accept you were wrong takes balls. To stand up and tell your story in order that it not be repeated takes balls. It is far from cowadice to rock to boat.

Yes Miscavige gave the orders, yes he created the environment in which abuse flourished, yes many people both lived with abuse and dished it out. But until some come forward and tell the true, accepting any part they may have played in it then it will continue.

It needs to stop and being prepared to face their own past in order to safe guard the future of others is the right thing to do and goes a long way to making amends for their own complicity.

  369. You also fail at morality.

You make a poor troll too; the quality of the troll is the ratio of their words to the responses. Bigger response to fewer words = better troll.

  370. Karry Campbell

    Ronnie,

Well done for such a great write up. Wonderfully complete!! Thank you for putting all of that together.

Good to be “alive” and “communicating” isn’t it?

    Best Wishes,

Thank you so much for being here with me, with us!

I knew there was someone else fearlessly on point for LRH. I have punished myself enough for not getting back in there to handle, not knowing what was really needed.

I saw something when we met that I wanted to hold on to.

OT perceptions and awesome affinity. Thank you so much for sharing!

Your eloquent observations are superb and based on LRH Tech which are what is most needed and wanted in our battle to keep Scientology Working.

I plan to sell this house ASAP; I am a target here being alone, my home is damaged consistently to cause me to sell for no profit.
