Story of a squirrel – Part One

Some close friends of mine have recently received notice that they are “declared”.  They did not receive a written declare order. They were not informed of the alleged declare by staff members. They were told by public – DM’s new cannon fodder.  Both of the most recent declares by rumor mongering and innuendo said that my friends were going to, allied with or somehow supportive of a squirrel.  No particulars, no specifics, just pure generalities.   To get a glimpse of what I am talking about visit this link:

DM’s inability to confront and communicate with the situation that confronts him is indicative of the EP of the “Scientology” his church now practices. We aren’t like that in the independent field. We give particulars, evidence and name names. And right now, I am naming David Miscavige as I tell the first in a series on his well-earned title as the mother of all squirrels.  By the time we complete this series, I believe it will become apparent that those who are currently being “declared” are being declared for the very crime the public who are informing them of their declares are guilty of. That is those public are remaining connected with and supporting with money and irrational zealotry the world’s biggest outright Squirrel.

Let’s start with basics – a word being given a whole new meaning by the man Tommy says “gives a whole new definition to ‘religious leader.'” Grade Zero has quite apparently been taken out of the line up. Anyone who knows the first thing about the Bridge knows that absent having one’s Grade Zero IN, one might as well not shell out another penny for the rest of his 1/2 million dollar Bridge. If one has not attained the ability gained from Grade Zero and continues, he or she is literally on a bridge to nowhere.   One certainly belongs nowhere near an auditor’s chair who is not a complete, thorough Grade Zero completion.

First, the church’s Mecca (Flag Service Organization) has been coerced into short-circuiting all orgs on the planet by ripping off their Grades pcs and potential Grades pcs. Once at Flag, pc’s are being so quickied that the pcs are in no shape for the rest of the Grades, and are easy marks for years of overwhelming mind games on their Clear statuses (subject of another part in this series) and a seemingly endless OT VII along with its expensive six month sec checks and gang bang regging sessions.  DM is so proud of this state of affairs that he has Flag committing serial violations of  HCO PLs Technical Degrades  and Keeping Scientology Working – and a host of C/S Series HCOBs – by promoting quickie Grades.

DM’s STASI-like execution of his own brand of “Disconnect” exacerbates the inability-to-communicate situation. With virtually no justice apparatus remaining within the Church, there is a vast network of rumor and innuendo keeping the faithful in line with verbal declares, statements that some are not in good standing, “so and so is disaffected”, etc.  In order to survive among the Scientology public sector one must become adept at watching what he says, watching with whom he communicates with, watching what he reads and watching what he watches. If you tiptoe artfully enough around the omnipresent egg shells, why, you’ve got a chance to make it along the Bridge.

But, at what cost?

Below are video’d success stories of three recently attested “OT VIIIs” aboard the Freewinds.  Here is the living proof of the EP of Miscavology’s Bridge to nowhere. I have never seen such petrified, solid, controlled, and nervous “success stories” in my life.  To be fair to these “VIIIs”  in the videos – they are being forced to read from prepared statements that were obviously coordinated, stacked with pat acknowledgments and, if you look really closely, in a way downplay LRH to the “the most famous name in Scientology” and/or his org that doesn’t even exist.  Their obsequious promotion of such off Source DM inventions as “Ideal Orgs” betrays their slavish adherence to the party line; even anti-LRH and anti-Scientology ones. That they submit to and comply to such indignities speaks volumes about their EPs.  If you think I am over reacting, and that you’d like to attain the independence, presence, communication skills, and reach of these fellows, then don’t bother Q and Aing with your doubts any more. Just head on into DM’s church and learn the lock step.

Dave Lebow of the infamous Las Vegas and Minton investigations fame (see SP Times Monday edition) is the perfect dramatization of the other Dave’s management style and case. He pitched up in Denver today. Was he going deep cover?  No. Was he doing some sophisticated investigation? No. He was attempting to terrorize Mike Rinder’s girl friend.

Yeah, like Tommy before him, Dave Lebow has been relegated to direct attempts to intimidate women.  Lebow tells Mike’s gal that he’s been staking out Mike’s apartment for days and sees no activity, he’d been surveilling her place and sees Mike’s car has been there but no sign of Mike. Lebow says he wants to know how to get hold of Mike, because “for god sakes, my photo is all over the St Petersburg Times.”  Dave is apparently livid at what he considers a terrible invasion of his privacy. Kettle…Pot…Black?

Dave told the woman he wanted to know how to get hold of Marty. Hey Dave, my email address is on my blog for tens of thousands to see and use daily. A photo of my freaking house is in your boss’s “Freedom” magazine.

Get a life.

If anyone listened to my interview on CBC radio last week, you may recall I said the church would not be foolish enough to mess with Paul Haggis. Well, my friends in and around the OSA Network and within the journalism community have informed me of facts that have disabused me of the notion that the church retains any smarts.  Apparently, I sorely underestimated DM’s level of desperation and madness.

OSA has instituted a Cold War era operation wherein Paul’s counseling files have been culled for “transgressions” the church thinks might make news. Tid bits have been leaked to “independent journalists” (who in fact are not independent and are not really journalists). It is being done in a J Edgar Hooveresque manner, making it look like  “reporters” have on their own initiative found some cracks in Paul’s armor and “old friends” have had some come-to-Jesus moments where they feel compelled to talk about Paul.

As much as I have underestimated DM’s depravity, he has underestimated our resources.  We are watching this unfold and when and if it comes to what DM considers fruition, he will be hoisted by his own petards.

And that is when I read the recent articles in the St. Petersburg Times.  They left me dumbstruck and horrified.

These were not the claims made by “outsiders” looking to dig up dirt against us. These accusations were made by top international executives who had devoted most of their lives to the church. Say what you will about them now, these were staunch defenders of the church, including Mike Rinder, the church’s official spokesman for 20 years!

Tommy, if only a fraction of these accusations are true, we are talking about serious, indefensible human and civil rights violations. It is still hard for me to believe.  But given how many former top-level executives have said these things are true, it is hard to believe it is all lies.

And when I pictured you assuring me that it is all lies, that this is nothing but an unfounded and vicious attack by a group of disgruntled employees, I am afraid that I saw the same face that looked in the camera and denied the policy of disconnection. I heard the same voice that professed outrage at our support of Proposition 8, who promised to correct it, and did nothing.

I carefully read all of your rebuttals, I watched every video where you presented the church’s position, I listened to all your arguments – ever word. I wish I could tell you that they rang true. But they didn’t.

I was left feeling outraged, and frankly, more than a little stupid.

And though it may seem small by comparison, I was truly disturbed to see you provide private details from confessionals to the press in an attempt to embarrass and discredit the executives who spoke out. A priest would go to jail before revealing secrets from the confessional, no matter what the cost to himself or his church. That’s the kind of integrity I thought we had, but obviously the standard in this church is far lower – the public relations representative can reveal secrets to the press if the management feels justified. You even felt free to publish secrets from the confessional in Freedom Magazine – you just stopped short of labeling them as such, probably because you knew Scientologists would be horrified, knowing you so easily broke a sacred vow of trust with your parishioners.

How dare you use private information in order to label someone an “adulteress?” You took Amy Scobee’s most intimate admissions about her sexual life and passed them onto the press and then smeared them all over the pages your newsletter! I do not know the woman, but no matter what she said or did, this is the woman who joined the Sea Org at 16! She ran the entire celebrity center network, and was a loyal senior executive of the church for what, 20 years? You want to rebut her accusations, do it, and do it in the strongest terms possible – but that kind of character assassination is unconscionable.

So, I am now painfully aware that you might see this an attack and just as easily use things I have confessed over the years to smear my name. Well, luckily I have never held myself up to be anyone’s role model.

Merchant of Chaos

LRH begins The True Story of Scientology with this:

“The true story of Scientology is simple, concise and direct. It is quickly told:

1. A philosopher developed a philosophy about life and death.

2. People find it interesting.

3. People find it works.

4. People pass it along to others.

5. It grows.

“When we examine this extremely accurate and very brief account, we see that there must be in our civilization some very disturbing elements for anything else to be believed about Scientology. These disturbing elements are the Merchants of Chaos. They deal in confusion and upset. Their daily bread is made by creating chaos. If chaos were to lessen, so would their incomes.”

LRH follows that introduction with a series of characteristics of the Merchant of Chaos.  Think these through and see if they remind you of anyone:

“It is to their interest to make the environment seem as threatening as possible, for only then can they profit. Their incomes, force and power rise in direct ratio to the amount of threat they can inject into the surroundings of people.With that threat, they can extort revenue, appropriations, heightened circulations and recompense without question. These are the Merchants of Chaos. If they did not generate it and buy and sell it, they would, they suppose, be poor…

“…This is the cold-blooded manufacture of ‘a dangerous environment.’ People do not need this news and if they did, they need the facts, not the upset. But if you hit a person hard enough, he can be made to give up money. That’s the basic formula of extortion…”

“…The world simply must not be a better place according to the Chaos Merchant. If people were less disturbed, less beaten down by their environments, there would be no new appropriations for police and armies and big rockets and there’d be not even pennies for a screaming sensational press…”

The person who came to mind when I read this has attempted to re-write the True Story of Scientology as follows:

1. He has taken studied, extreme measures to write the author of Scientology out of the picture. Most recently he had the LRH biographer once again drop the biography of LRH and write 110 pages of PR copy on himself as the author of the greatest breakthroughs in Dianetics and Scientology in their histories.

2. He doesn’t find it interesting in the slightest. So much so, he hasn’t audited in nearly twenty years.

3. He has taken measures to use Scientology in the reverse so that it works in reverse to a detrimental result.

4. He diverted and socked away nearly a billion dollars that otherwise might have been spent on dissemination – a central management function – for his own personal aggrandizement.

5. Under his leadership the movement has had unprecedented shrinkage, to the point it is now being held afloat by a captive, elite public that are lavished with statuses in exchange for lucre.

I’m just sayin’.

IAS 25th – DM has made zero ethics change

I listened to the IAS event last night – within an hour of its conclusion. I have a number of observations based on the words of David Miscavige.

First, all the exposure about his socking away hundreds of millions of dollars into IAS has resulted in him coming out with a new dead agent caper.  He is now having IAS sponsor certain “Ideal Orgs” in areas of political significance:

“So, there you have it, three new IAS sponsored Ideal Churches of Scientology at the very pivot points of this planet.” (Rome, D.C., and Brussels)

He doesn’t say how much IAS ponied up, but you can rest assured DM is very uneasy about his hoarding of nearly a billion dollars becoming public.

Second, Miscavige’s 25 year recap of IAS was a continuation of the myth that the IAS had a single thing to do with overcoming attacks. He went so overboard as to suggest that IAS is EVERYTHING, to the exclusion of international management and RTC itself:

“Let’s take a good, hard look at how we arrived at today.  Its all because who we are as the IAS. New orgs, new A.O.s, the top of the Bridge itself. Omit the IAS and there’s none of it. So, yes in a very real sense it is the IAS and ONLY the IAS that ensures the Bridge remains pure in the face of darkest suppression and in the most important cultural centers of earth.”

Next time an org rips you off, breaks up your family, or commits out tech on your case try giving IAS a holler and see what happens.

Third, Miscavige continued to fraudulently assert that Scientology has inherent enemies that threaten its very existence just because of its core practices:

“Because of the nature of what Scientology is, it WILL be opposed by the status quo, the power elite, and those who abhor the thought of freedom for another. So it has been, so IT IS.”

What Miscavige has not told his followers is that the only attacks for nearly twenty years have been on account of his own personal abuses, his off-Source and criminal counter policies, his ordered insane regging practices, and his personally executed out-tech. For the past six months I have been witness to his having spent many millions of dollars to suppress the truth of the source of attacks from being published and aired.

Fourth, Miscavige used the affair to propagandize that to “abandon”, “betray”, or “lose faith” in him would be to lose Scientology.

“Because we never took our eyes off the ultimate prize, we stand where we are today. Twenty-five years of magnificent accomplishment, and more than that a future more glorious than we could ever have imagined. And all because we have never abandoned each other, because we have not betrayed one another, because we have kept faith with one another, because we have been true to one another, because we know we are in this together, because shoulder to shoulder, now and forever, we are the IAS.”

You can take it to the bank this is a plea to the high rollers (including TC and JT who sat in the front row taking all this blather in) to “not listen to natter” about der Fuehrer.

None of what we have covered so far constitutes the biggest crime Miscavige has perpetrated and perpetuated. In my view the most destructive thing he’s done is to convince Scientologists to continue to contribute to his plans to force Scientology upon populations by converting the very “power elite” whom out of the other side of his mouth – in the same event – he warns will always be one of Scientology’s biggest threats.  He has managed to take a subject that LRH created and bequeathed to the common man in a bottom up effort to improve the planet and turn it into an elitist, materialist, top-down corruption that will “become public policy with a simple hand shake” (and no doubt handsome greasing of palms).  Read his description of the IAS sponsored new, improved, Ideal, Founding Church of Scientology of Washington, D.C.:

”And while it is still situated in and among foreign embassies, one hundred and seventy four of them to be exact, what rises today at 1422 Sixteenth St is seven stories of 21st century Scientology. The design is classically American and exactly what you would expect of our new church in the heart of the U.S. Capital. And make no mistake it is as elegant as any address on Embassy Row. After all, diplomats and decision makers will soon be formally introduced to Dianetics and Scientology, very much including the LRH beginning library…And lest you need be reminded why this is an IAS sponsored Ideal Org, let’s not forget that a decision made in this town can effect the lives of billions…After all, here is where our human rights initiatives, our drug free world, and Way To Happiness campaigns can become public policy with a simple hand shake.”

Miscavige has confirmed suspicions he first sewed in me in late 2003. At that time he told Tom Cruise in my presence: “I wouldn’t mind (George W) Bush becoming our Constantine*. I mean, he’s dumb as a rock, but he has no problem at all enforcing his stupid decisions no matter what anybody says.” You think he doesn’t get it that Scientology cannot be enforced on somebody against his or her own determinism?  I think he gets it.  I believe he has no intention of forwarding Scientology for any other purpose than his own personal aggrandizement.** And the way he is pursuing it , unchecked, will only result in the subject’s demise. It is a good thing more and more folks ain’t cottoning to his notions anymore.

What to do about a tyrant

There  have been some rather incendiary comments of late outlining all sorts of horrible fates that people wish for DM. Some I allowed to let people vent, but some I deleted as they were crossing the line. I note that most of the more vehement cries demand that someone else do something about DM. And those people have yet to even take the square zero step of standing up and being counted.  Why is that important? All of  the power of a tyrant derives from people’s willingness to listen to him. Miscavige knows this all too well. See the following from a 1998 interview  in the St. Pete Times:

“People keep saying, ‘How’d you get power?’ ” Miscavige said. “Nobody gives you power. I’ll tell you what power is. Power in my estimation is if people will listen to you. That’s it.”

I recently listened to the Thought, Emotion and Effort lecture series. LRH makes a very strong case for it being a stupid idea to fight force with force. Even when you are dealing with a tyrant. Read this excerpt for example:

“And, you see, when you have operated oppressively, if you operate oppressively, then it’s much easier to fail because there’s a bunch of causes standing around who want to cause you to be an effect. And the more people you try to effect, the more thoroughly they’re going to try to cause you to be an effect until all of a sudden you cave in. People watch this modus operandi. They say,’Well, if everybody sat down and hated Stalin for fifteen minutes a day he would die. Now we will all play ‘The Girl I Left Behind Me.” It’s not true. Possibly have some modus operandi, if he knew about it, possibly. You might be able to shove that many in. No, the way to fix up Stalin is to invite him on an enormously broad program where everybody’s going to be an effect but then rig it in such a way that he fails. He’ll cave in. That’s the only way he’ll really cave in.” – 19 Nov 1951, Cause and Effect (continued).

Don’t waste your time with fantasizing the dramatization of evil purposes.  Get on with life, help others get on with theirs. Create communities where the subject is no longer monopolized by a suppressive madman.

Flag Squirrel Organization

Below is a promotion sent out to the Flag Service Conultants internationally. Attached to it is a briefing by Snr CS FSO, Richard Reis. I had heard about Flag requiring people en masse to do one hundred hours of objectives and was floored by that news of outright squirreldom. I doubted the veracity of the report. Now that I have it in writing, let’s confront what is really happening in the Church of Miscavology. Its collapse is happening much faster than I ever imagined it could occur.

First, if you have not already seen it read my post regarding the insanity of Flag promoting the delivery of Grades.

That Flag promotes and delivers grades is a huge indicator that no Clears are being made around the world for Flag to reg to Flag for OT Levels. To have Flag bypass the orgs to deliver Grades further drives the shriveling orgs into the earth. Recent reliable reports estimate Fort Harrison occupancy to be less than fifty percent. Several years ago, anything under 90% was a flap of magnitude, and that was when Flag was delivering the upper OT levels.

With that backdrop, the latest news from Flag is that Flag Service Consultants are to reg T.R.s and Objectives Co-audit students to Flag! They tout having over one hundred students on T.R.s and Objectives already.

Note this little sleazy curve ball in the Reis briefing:

“Even on a case with only a light drug history, a TE of 100 hours for TRs and Objectives is not unusual.”

It is fraudulent to say “it is not unusual”, when in fact it is NOW STANDARD PRACTICE AT FLAG.

The one hundred hours of objectives order came from Miscavige. How do I know? First, Richard Reis is a freaking Oxford Rhodes scholar and has an eidetic memory of all of the Tech volumes. He would not order this without a gun pointed to his head. The only one with the power to enter such an off policy order (and the viciousness to put a gun to someone’s head to carry it out) is Miscavige. Miscavige specializes is off beat “failed executive C/Sing” actions, even in Cram Orders, like “50 hours of Op Pro by Dup”. Finally, Miscavige is the only dedicated practitioner of Black Dianetics who is on the chain of command above Reis. And this is Black Dianetics, simple and plain.

The first few independent groups I announced (CW, Mexico, and Mountain View) and others not yet announced are getting flooded with reaches by people looking for help to try to understand what has happened to the Scientology many of us used to know. I think the effort is going to need to be stepped up. Miscavige’s effort to destroy the Mecca is close to done. A lot of people are going to be looking for direction in a hurry soon if this suppression continues unchecked.

Currently at Flag we have a course room totally dedicated to delivering the TR’s and Objectives Co-Audit. We have over 100 students and our co-audit supervisors are also Flag trained Case Cracker Auditors. This course room delivers over 500 auditing hours each week. I am sure that many of you know somebody who is taking a long time on this part of The Bridge. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to experience Flag and move up The Bridge with very little financial strain and they can complete in a matter of weeks. Once someone has completed the Purification Rundown his next step on the Grade Chart is “TRs and Objectives”.

LRH said that a “Failure to run Objectives fully and completely, especially on a case with an extensive drug history, can set up the pc for less than optimum gain on Dianetics.” It is obvious that this is a key level that when fully done can set one up to rocket through the rest of The Bridge.

It is very definitely the key prerequisite for going onto the Grades and being able to move through the Expanded Grades in the LRH TE of one month with all EPs obtained.

TRs and Objectives is not necessarily a short rundown or level. For some cases it can run into hundreds of hours of auditing. Even on a case with only a light drug history, a TE of 100 hours for TRs and Objectives is not unusual.

The solution then is to Co-Audit which not only allows one to get as many hours of auditing as one needs without financial strain, it also affords one the invaluable experience and gains of helping another spiritual being advance toward freedom. Getting in both sides is highly recommended. Ask any trained auditor or C/S.

The Tech of Objectives is unique. The goal is to bring someone fully into present time. LRH said, “As you know a pc can get ‘stuck in the past’ and if you can get a pc out of his engrams and reactive mind (his perpetuated past), he becomes aware of the present.” Also, “The pc is stuck not just in engrams but in past identities. In fact the pc out of present time is being the past. The pc can be made to see he is being the past and that there is a present.”

Without this tech of Objectives, a pc’s chance of making it out is just non-existent. LRH said this flatly when he states, “Without Objectives, no being is likely to recover in his infinity of futures.”

The Tech of Objectives is quite extensive. Each Objective Process has its own unique EP, and part of the power of these processes has been the recovery of the tech of ensuring that each Objective Process is continued until all the EPs for each process run have been obtained. The C/Ses are fully trained in the mastery of this tech and can guide each pc and his twin through to attaining these EPs every time.

One learned while studying the Basics, “He (the preclear) has to come up to a full tolerance of it (the physical universe) before he can get out of it.” The TRs and Objectives Co-Audit is a major milestone on any preclear’s journey up The Bridge toward Total Freedom.
