De-Ding: Here Comes The Wagon

Ok, so here is how the King of Squirrels has come full circle by becoming what he so forcefully resists and resisting what he so forcefully becomes.

The walking GPM.

KoS holds court with admirers

I am going to start by repeating an excerpt from an essay I posted on November 2, 2010:

Miscavige used such an abuse as part of his own push toward power in the early eighties.  A couple of Mission Holders, most notably one Kingsley Wimbush, used Responsibilities of Leaders as an integral part of a process called “De-dinging.”   Wimbush would gather staff and public at the end of the evening in the course room of his mission. He would have them read The Responsibilities of Leaders.  He would then insist that properly interpretted the policy required all of those who depended upon his “power” (all staff and public) to flow “power” to Wimbush.   He told them that the power flow he desired was money, and he’d pressure the staff and public to fill his hat with bills, the larger the denominations the better.

With this information Miscavige grotesquely violated this provision of The Responsibilities of Leaders: So to live at all in the shadow or employ of a power, you must yourself gather and USE enough power to hold your own – without just nattering to the power to “kill Pete”, in straightforward or more suppressive veiled ways to him, as these wreck the power that supports yours.

Miscavige did so by writing the most exaggerated, alarming and vicious reports about Mission Holders.  In fact, he used the Wimbush abuse of The Responsibilities of Leaders to unjustly paint dozens of Mission Holders with the same color.  His reports were so “Kill Pete” in nature that he led LRH to believe the Mission Holders were in fact government operatives out to kill LRH.

Ironically, or perhaps predictably, once Miscavige rose to power through such shifts, he eschewed virtually all LRH policy, but for one: The Reponsibilities of Leaders.  Apparently, Miscavige recognized how one (Wimbush for example) could get people to do the most irrational and off policy things by fixating their attention on this one policy.

from https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2010/11/02/worse-than-fair-game/

Now, here is what David Miscavige had to say about Wimbush and his de-dinging “tech” during this terrordome “briefing” to Mission Holders on 17 October, 1982 – while full-stride, headlong into his push for power:

“Earlier this evening both Kingsley Wimbush and Dean Stokes were here. They have both now been declared and we are pursuing criminal charges against them. They have been delivering their own squirrel tech while calling it Scientology. Kingsley Wimbush’s ‘dinging process’ is complete squirrel. You won’t find it in any tech, yet he has been calling it Scientology. That’s a violation of trademark laws and he now faces some serious charges for this crime. This sort of activity is NOT going to go on any more.”  – David Miscavige 17 October, 1982

Now, do you remember this bozo from last Monday on this blog, the Village Voice, The London Daily Mail, and Gawker?:

OT “VIII”, OT Ambassador John Allender.   A man so bereft of intelligence he travelled across state lines 1,500 miles in order to continue to stalk and threaten Lori Hodgson at my home in Texas, the same woman he was already under investigation by the San Jose Police Department for stalking and threatening.

What might motivate such a bonehead move?  Perhaps a Simon Bolivar wanna be with a Napoleon complex?

Hold your hats.

In 1982 when Kingsley Wimbush and his brother Bernie and their pal Clay Primrose were literally holding public Scientologists prisoner in the Course Room at Stevens Creek Mission, the public were so terrified very few raised a peep in protest.

But, there were a few exceptions.  One was  a young woman named Lori Hodgson.  Lori wrote up to management that the D of T (Director of Training) at Steven’s Creek was literally imprisoning public and passing around a hat at the end of each course period collecting cash for the executives of the org.

That D of T’s name?

You got it.  John Allender.

You’ve heard of the Ideal Org.

Now, meet the Ideal OTA:

Miscavige’s New Shock Squads

One major reason why we are having such huge and lasting effect on Scientology Inc is that we have refused to underestimate the calculating cunning of David Miscavige.   While I have noted that he is a virtual idiot when it comes to understanding such building blocks of mankind as ARC and compassion for one’s fellows, I never said he was anything but a genius at Macheavellian maneuverings to take out potential threats to his power and greed.

Try as we do to prevent people from listing out of session, this listing question seems to have taken on epidemic proportions: How does Miscavige get away with his smoke and mirrors gig to this day?

I haven’t been listing on this question for some time. The answer lies in the first paragraph above.

Tonight, we’ve got some documentary evidence to support that idea.

OT VIIIs Sherry Katz and Geir Issene left clues some time ago on this blog. Both exposed how Miscavige handles OT VIIIs to make them think they are the cat’s ass provided only that they kiss the COB’s ass.

Geir related how Miscavige marched into a restaurant on the ship and “tone 40” announced to Geir that he would be the new ED of the Oslo org. He didn’t care about any lack of OEC training, Org experience or anything else. Geir was an OT VIII – and that is all that mattered, you are automatically trusted by the COB to take over a country.

Sherry later exposed a pattern along that line – OT VIIIs (OT Ambassadors) being appointed as org ED’s willy nilly by Miscavige. Sherry also hit the nail right upon the head as to why. Miscavige considered OT VIIIs as his “Ambassadors” will listen to him rather than read policy to direct an org. Obviously not the case with Geir, because he told COB what to do with that offered job).

There is another reason Miscavige thinks OT VIIIs will willingly do his bidding, irrespective of what L Ron Hubbard has to say on the matter. He’s got them hoodwinked (and desperately hoping) that Miscavige really does have more OT Levels for them. He’s been dangling that carrot for twenty-five years. While enturbulating VIIs and VIIIs no end with his endless “arbitraries cancelled” arbitraries, he holds out the promise of the next levels that will handle the enturbulation he carefully manufactured on his little own lonesome.

But, how does the public keep falling for his unceasing parade of alterations of L Ron Hubbard Scientology, foisted off as Miscavige’s latest “breakthrough”? First and foremost by brainwashing the most gullible and conditioned of all Scientologists, those OT VIIIs who eschew the ability gained at that level (to see, live with, and tolerate nothing but the TRUTH) to act as Miscavige’s personal agents, OT Ambassadors, to shill and pimp his lie laden agenda. They, being opinion leaders within the Scientology Inc public community, are the first to defend Miscavige, and the first to forward his OFF POLICY, OUT TECH PROGRAMS.

Miscavige has conditioned his OT Ambassadors to not question a single word Miscavige says. In fact, they cheer him when he makes utterances Miscavige would be forcibly removed from the stage if he uttered in a broader public event, say at the Shrine for example. Miscavige treats the Ambassadors to their own little, private briefing aboard the Freewinds during Maiden Voyage week each year. This is the only “public” venue in which he has not got a pre-written speech hard wired to his head through teleprompters.

He artfully mis-uses HCO PL Responsibility of Leaders, to create a “tight conspiracy” with OT Ambassadors. He takes them into his confidence and shares “secrets” with them, not intended or shared with the general public.

What follows is the first in a series of disclosures on the verbatim words that David Miscavige has spoken to the ears of only the OT Ambassadors. Theses were uttered during the Maiden Voyage 2004. Please note the parenthetical notations of crowd reactions to certain parts of his talk. Those were noted by official transcriptionists of Miscavige himself. This is taken from a transcript of the talk recording that was prepared by his own staff.

.

Now, other things on Tech. Something I mentioned last year and I’ve been working on quite a bit. But one thing you will see coming up by the end of the year is the LOC course in 15 languages. (Cheers & applause.) There’s actually going to be some fascinating new things in there. I hate to tell some of the people who did it. And no offense, we’ll work out how you get it, okay. It’s not like that. But generally, we’ve briefed you before, but as time goes by and you finally get through all of the Archives. Which by the way, we keep talking about Archives, I wish you could get a reality on it. It’s like you take a look at LRH materials. You see the published ones. You can not believe—I cannot to this day imagine how it happened—but there is a tunnel that is oh, twice as long as this room and about 25 feet deep with high density shelving and it’s all originals stacked end-to-end. [Wow.] Now, of course, that includes a lot more than just the materials of Dianetics and Scientology. His writings, his letters, etc. But still—well, one day we’ll figure that out. We just keep going. (Laughter.)

And just keep going” he has done to this day. If this is not TECHNICAL DEGRADES – the Policy Letter (and all of the KSW series for that matter) is meaningless. If the slavish response to such degrades is not HIGH TREASON, then LRH’s legacy truly has been burned and buried.

David Miscavige has apparently convinced OT Ambassadors, as of June 2004 that he has an unending source of justifications for continuing to revise tech forever. Interesting it should start with LOC (Life Orientation Course) a course he makes mandatory at all levels and which establishes a person’s hat (and thus purpose in life). And his products of the entire bridge are applauding, cheering, and…laughing to the inside skinny that Miscavige will “just keep going” with issuing his brave new version of the tech.

For the most part Int Execs, and the rest of management for that matter, are not even players any more. They are not applauding, cheering and laughing. They are prisoners.

Miscavige put a whole new set of shock squads in their place date coincident with imprisoning management (early 2004). After all, it was the OT Ambassador 2009 Annual Program that helped destroy Class V orgs by having OT Ambassador’s divert grades and NED pcs from the orgs to Miscaviges cash cow, Flag Service Organization. The most fraudulent place on earth where you can conservatively estimate they blew off the bulk of the new arrivals with medieval reg tactics. What other chaos and destruction are they cheerfully carrying out for the mad man?

But, look at the brighter side. He can’t keep his new shock squads hidden behind razor wire topped prison fences. They are public. They are accessible and they can be communicated with by caring, creative people.

Care and create to your heart’s content. Or just chew it over and recognize you are doing the right thing already.

Richard and Vicki Palmer

My whole history in Scientology will have to wait. While it may be interesting to some, amusing to others, helpful to others still and cathartic for me – it’s too long to post here.

Having started in 1988 I’ve had the unique experience of being in Scientology after LRH departed but with the organization still having the “feel” of the earlier era (or at least what I imagine it felt like). I was fortunate enough to get training and auditing both pre and post Golden Age of Tech. And I’ve also held positions that gave me a unique view of the church.

I trained and interned as a course supervisor & Pro Word Clearer on the TTC (Technical Training Corps) and held a supervisor position for a number of years before going into the TTC again and training as an auditor & C/S. My last post held in an org was that of Snr C/S and I held it for 5 years.

I’ve done training, auditing and staff activities in Los Angeles, Flag & the Freewinds. And due to my staff status I’ve met people and been witness to things I wouldn’t have as a public. This led me to have many un-reconciled dichotomies about the subject – and left me with great conflict over the years. Some examples:

  • Reading about ARC being the universal solvent and then witnessing the LRH Comm of ASHO “rip the face off” the Commanding Officer.
  • Studying at great length the comm formula and the power of it only to then listen to David Miscavige (and RTC/Int Management staff) denigrate my peers with gross disdain at the Snr C/S Conference.
  • As an extra in a tech film seeing mistreatment of many SO staff, while one or two were treated like kings.
  • Training as a minister and coming to understand the benevolence of the subject, but then working with & around RPF members and seeing how they were treated.

While I can cite example upon example of dichotomies like the above (as a public, as an auditor, as a C/S, as an OT) I still continued with the subject. I was of the frame of mind that there was considerably more good happening and had thoroughly bought the PR that upper management was an idyllic heaven of standardness – it was just us idiots down lower on the org board, goofing things up. I was, for many years, the ideal “bot” for the church. I forwarded the PR line of management and was as much an example of what was expected of me as possible. If there was a program – I would forward its objective.

I had unique comm lines that most staff didn’t have. I was the Snr C/S so I had a Network post – this put me on the lines of management directly. I also had a direct line to RTC, complete with weekly reports. And as the Birthday Game I/C I had other unique comm lines. Being close friends to the DSA of the org also put me on unique comm lines.

As the only OT in both Day & Foundation orgs I’d had more hours of confessional auditing than the entire staff of both orgs combined. Yet I continually found myself in ethics trouble. Despite having been the only staff member I knew of in over a decade to complete a program (and gain signification of it from management) I still was a failure. And despite recruiting over 30 people for staff, C/Sing for both orgs and doing HGC & Review auditing I was still a downstat.

I watched year by year things change. The things that I noticed first were “statistics” at events that didn’t add up. They were things that didn’t really have any bearing on anything – or didn’t directly correlate to the business of orgs. Hearing about “column inches” of press didn’t mean much to me after I’d been involved with the DSA to get something posted in the newspaper for her stat. And things like “Number of books sold” became meaningless when I saw thousands upon thousands of dollars being spent on them by fellow Scientologists – and when the “25 books equals a Scientologist” quote would get tossed into the mix, it really stung.

Being trained pre-GAT and having true ARC in a session was very remarkable. Even if I goofed or didn’t know what to do next it hardly mattered. I was there with the PC and we were both doing our best. The C/S was caring and gentle with both of us – and why wouldn’t he be? And while internships were difficult, at the end of the day I was a PC’s friend. The GAT changed all of that. Personality, ARC, charisma, care – all of it went out the window. I had a realization shortly after finishing my GAT training (which at the time I thought was a good one – in hindsight it wasn’t), that with the advent of the GAT we no longer had “good” or “bad” auditors, we simply had auditors.

As Snr C/S I watched as the subject was systematically ruined – doing our best to churn out rote, robotic “auditors” as fast as possible. And I was running dozens of programs to ensure this happened. The irony is the GAT is such a pile of crap, there’s no way those programs will ever be completed. It’d be like having a series of programs that “extinguish the sun” by using acetone – just not going to happen, no matter how much effort you put into it.

But as a Scientologist, I was still trying to do it all. I was moving through OT levels, was trained and on post in a Class V org, had my wife moving up the Bridge, my son was in an Applied Scholastics school and we were even donating thousands to the IAS. But therein lied the rub – this was just too expensive for a “regular” family to do. I could see the writing on the wall, albeit too late. I was already in the hole for well over $100,000 and hadn’t even started OT VII yet. I’d been working days, nights & weekends for over a decade and was tired. There were very little days off, no vacations and no normalcy for my wife and son.

In 2002, I finished my staff contract, but as many of you know, there’s no “Congratulations/Thank You” for completing a contract and leaving. Oh no. And while there’s no golden watch, there can be goldenrod. 🙂

A Comm Ev was begun a couple months prior to me completing my contract and was issued a month after I left (but was still C/Sing for both orgs out of my home). The Findings & Recommendations were pretty gross. After all the years of work/exchange I’d given, all of my auditing & C/S certificates were suspended pending re-train (among a long list of other things). I was left with a sickening feeling of being “lucky” I hadn’t been declared. Still I soldiered on.

Interesting to note, my wife pointed out to me that most people after leaving staff (or being Comm Ev’d) simply disappear. At some point in the future there will be an attempt to get them “recovered” and at that time it will be disclosed how valuable they’ve always been and what a great contributor they were. But I decided to buck the trend. I was no enemy of Scientology. I wanted everyone to win!

So I got involved with the OT Committee and eventually took the position of D/Chairman. The Chairman & I sat down with some others and came up with a great idea – we’d get a public-level project going to buy the org a building! We started working on it and after a while had a building located, inspected and the initial checklist of actions done for management approval. It was affordable and was constructed & zoned for more stories on top of it for future expansion!

But as you can guess, that building was disapproved (without anyone looking at it) and the OTC was “in trouble” for acting without authorization. It was about this time I got a knowledge report written on me for “being too uptone” in the face of my unfinished F&Rs. Clearly I should have been more hangdog and stayed quietly off-lines. Well, as there was a Sea Org ethics mission in the org, this single KR got me hauled in – and I was told in no uncertain terms that if I didn’t pay for and route onto the Ethics Specialist course immediately, I’d be declared…

I got on course and worked on it diligently. I did my best to be a model student and help the supervisor out (whom I recruited and is still on staff to this day as far as I know) , gave wins, etc.. And yes, I completed it in checksheet time.

I then stopped working with the OTC and went flat out for months to get through my F&Rs. Why did I go through all of this? Well, because I wanted my wife and I to go to the Freewinds and do the OT Debug service, of course! The idea was simple. They promoted 98% of people doing this service are onto their next major service within 2 weeks of returning from the ship. I was thinking I liked those odds – because there was no way I’d be seeing a major service (simply from a financial aspect) for decades at the rate things were going. I was all-in, in the dark (poker parlance).

It was an expensive action but also a defining moment. Doing that service cost well over $25,000 (that we didn’t have) but helped open our eyes like no other. Doing the debug resulted in us having one of the most miserable times of our lives, being invalidated as to our intentions & abilities and left with no route of help.

After the debug we spent the next few years recovering financially. There was no option of doing more Bridge activity. I went to events and helped out however I could, but as far as services/donations go, I was no longer in the game. I was a broken piece…

And that’s why the OT Debug was also the most valuable thing I’d done in a long time. My wife and I both agreed that the church could no longer “help” us and we would have to rely on ourselves. It allowed me to take a step back and do what I knew to be the right things – work, pay off existing debt, never go into this kind of debt again, etc. It had the unexpected effect of allowing me to see how far astray the church had gone from my earliest days with it.

Over the next few years of just going to events (but not doing services or giving money) I was seeing a gross pattern – and recalling earlier instances of the same, substantiated things in my mind. My only thought was that sometime in the future things would be different. I had nothing left in the tank to give, so wasn’t really able to “pitch in to fix things”.

In July of 2009, Vicki and I found out about the St. Petersburg Times article & videos. I of course, was pretty knowledgeable about Marty, his post and relationship within RTC. Similarly with the others giving video testimony. Clearly I didn’t know them as well as those working/living with them all, but as far as “non-SO” went, I had much more knowledge than most.

To say I was in shock would be an understatement. The “problem” I was having was how everything was all of a sudden making sense to me. The church would like people to believe that the testimony given in those videos is what causes a negative effect in the wayward Scientologist. But that is a slap in the face in and of itself. I’d been observing things for YEARS with only partial data, unable to ascertain the truth of them because of incomplete data. No explanation given by the church EVER reconciled them for me. But these videos absolutely did.

I started thinking about how well little Dianetics book clubs & impromptu groups did. And how well Missions seemed to work, compared to Class V orgs. And how increasingly more difficult it got to get the job done as you moved up the org board. I was getting memories flashing of things I observed in Class V orgs, ASHO/AO, how much more poorly people were treated at Flag, the Freewinds, what it was like at the CLO/FOLO and what it was like at FB. The higher you went on the org board THE WORSE IT WAS! But I only ever saw up to FB so never personally witnessed the abuses at Int. But it now made sense – the idea of things “coming down the org board” was really true.

It now made sense why the RTC Reps in SO orgs were the rudest, most unfriendly, out-of-ARC people I’d ever met. It made sense why the MAAs in upper orgs were so concerned with petty overts. It explained why every Class V org EO eventually acted like a douche bag, pretending to be a big shot with a “badge”. It explained why the OSA network had the seediest, most no-gain-case personnel all over their lines. Why so much money went to “defense” of orgs. Why the church needed so many attorneys. Why the church’s PR was so horrible world-wide. And why the subject was being used the way it was on parishioners.

From the moment I had these realizations, I was out…

There is no way I can advocate, condone or support an organization betraying the very foundation of its existence. The Church of Scientology has become a fraudulent, human rights violating, cult of greed.

Step three of the Doubt formula states, “Decide on the basis of ‘the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics’ whether or not it should be attacked, harmed or suppressed or helped.

I firmly believe the church is no longer deserving of ‘help’…

Imagine

Imagine.

I want you to imagine a scenario for a moment if you will.

Imagine that with every step you ever took in Scientology the following ACT ONE was in.

Please read ACT ONE again. Here it is:

“The auditor and pre-clear are a group. To function well a group must be cleared. The clearing of a group is not difficult. It requires but little time. The relationship of the auditor and pre-clear is not parity. The auditor lends himself to the group as the control center of the group until the pre-clear’s subcontrol center is established under his own control center’s command. The role of the auditor ceases at that moment.

The auditor necessarily owns the pre-clear. He owns the pre-clear on a lessening basis until the pre-clear owns himself. If the auditor wishes to successfully own, to the end of NOT owning the pre-clear, he must not use the pre-clear to the service of the auditor for this establishes and confirms the ownership and inhibits the pre-clear from owning himself.

THE FIRST ACT of the auditor concerns himself. He assesses the task rather than the pre-clear and assesses the matter within himself. He establishes whether or not he desires the pre-clear to become established under the pre-clear’s own center of control. To do this the auditor may find it necessary to straight-wire himself for the removal of any reason why he does not want this pre-clear to be owned by the pre-clear. He then postulates to himself what he wants to happen with this pre-clear and postulates as well that he can do this task with this pre-clear. He must feel these postulates solidly. If he cannot he must discover why he cannot. Thus the first session’s first minutes with the pre-clear are concerned with the auditor himself. He should take time out from the pre-clear until he himself is established in his task and then readdress the pre-clear. “

– L Ron Hubbard, Advanced Procedures and Axioms

Now, when I say imagine that it was in, I do not mean “sorta in”, “a lot in”, “a little in”, or “most of the time in”. I mean, in unconditionally.

To get what I mean by completely in, please take a few minutes to review a segment of an interview I did with the St Petersburg Times in 2009. You can find it at this link, http://www.tampabay.com/specials/2009/reports/project/rathbun.shtml

On the right hand side of the image, there is a list of topics. Click on the one entitled “Abuse of Trust.”

The conditions I describe in that video interview are Church of Scientology conditions making the definition of in-session unattainable – that is “interested in own case and willing to talk to the auditor.” I mean, unconditionally “willing to talk to the auditor” with no consideration present that there are any adverse ramifications possible for what one might say to the auditor.

There is no such thing as “kinda in session”, just as certainly as there is no such thing as “kinda pregnant.” One is either willing (completely without the slightest allowance for concern of repercussion) to talk to the auditor, or one is not. One is either unequivocally interested and willing to look at whatever he is directed to inspect and arises and then discharge it by exposing it to the light of the auditor or he is not. If the pc has that 100% confidence it causes exact time, place, form and event to as-is. If he/she does not then that time, place, form and event is altered to that degree and tends to solidify and thus mass and energy and uknowingness accumulates in the universe of the pc.

There is one condition precedent for creating the condition of “in session.” That is, ACT ONE is IN.

Imagine ACT ONE being in with TONE 40. I don’t mean the corrupted, sacrilegious, low-scale force that Scientology Inc has foisted off on people as TONE 40. I mean TONE 40 defined: “Intention without reservation.”

Imagine now that every session you ever received was received with absolute confidence that ACT ONE at Tone 40 was in with your auditor.

Now imagine every session, every training action, every cycle ever “administered” under the name of Scientology was done so with the unequivocal intent to return free theta to you so as to return more of you to you so as to enhance your control over your own destiny.

Imagine further that ACT ONE was in with every person within the organization administering that auditing and training. That means the Case Supervisor, the Examiner, the D of P, the folder pages, the Ethics Officer, the Chaplain, all Qualifications Division Terminals, all Tech Division Terminals, all Div Six terminals. That also means all OSA terminals, Int Management, including its alter ego who micromanages it to suit his intentions and image.

Imagine further that ACT ONE was in with all Division Two terminals.

And, yes I know it is difficult, but also please imagine that all Registrars had their ACT ONE in with respect to you.

Absurd? Why? How could ACT ONE – the creation of a third dynamic for the spiritual betterment of the pc – mean anything when that auditor’s participation in it is dictated utterly by a larger third dynamic for other purposes, some detrimental to the pc? When that auditor reports in detail everything that goes on within the created auditor/pc third dynamic and subjects the pc to the effects that larger third dynamic wishes to create on that pc? When that auditor does not utterly control the auditor side of the e-meter, but instead subjects the preclear to the whims of another much larger third dynamic?

I don’t care if God wrote the policies that dictate the actions of that larger third dynamic, there is no ACT ONE if the auditor’s contract with the pc does not bind every single member of the larger third dynamic under whose auspices and control he is carrying out his auditing duties. And no matter how closely the members of the larger organization follow God’s policy, the moment any single one of the members of that larger third dynamic violates the pc’s contract with the auditor under ACT ONE, that contract is broken. And that pc is for it.

An unattainable absolute? Ok, imagine every org terminal who exerts any influence upon you went through the process of ACT ONE on you before he or she ever gave a command or suggestion? And imagine that each did his or her darned best at keeping that ACT ONE postulate clean and in with respect to you.

Now, if you haven’t already done so, lightly scan your history in and around Scientology organizations and imagine all departures from ACT ONE by all terminals connected with those organizations had not been present. Instead, each terminal did his level best to operate with ACT ONE in with respect to you.

Imagine where you’d be right NOW.

Imagine.

An Ode to L Ron Hubbard

You said your legacy would be the tech
but the dictator said otherwise
and the church began its demise
and hurt came to those who would object

You said there was no hidden data line
but the dictator said he knew better
and burned all of your policy letters
and the church went into long term decline

You said the tech was timeless and free
but the dictator wanted power and cash
and made your truth a confusing hash
and status and greed replaced the state of OT

You acknowledged the loyalty of your gracious wife
but the dictator used her as a stepping stone
and she died forgotten, friendless and alone
and thus he erased your dear Manuela from your life

You raised three fine children and one who died too soon
but the dictator wanted them forgotten too
and your progeny turned from sunshine to blue
and the many who loved you wept under a sorrowful moon

You had faith that your friends would make it come out right
but the dictator mis-used your treasure to enervate them
and black dianetics, reverse scientology internecine mayhem
and with violence did he destroy their willingness to fight

You said only truth could penetrate thick armor plate
and though the dictator protested this fact
it was your ace in the hole that has our back
and everyday now more are working to reverse your fate

And alas, it may take time and a perilous struggle
but we assure you it is too late to reverse our tide
you’ve got friends to the end of time on your side
and come hell or high water we’ll emerge from this jungle

Because we know you were right that the truth shall set us free
and that is one thing no dictator will ever take away
it will be your real friends standing at the end of day
humanity freed, the only proper acknowledgment of thee

Italian translation available at http://indipendologo.wordpress.com/

Grateful acknowledgment is due to Karen De La Carriere for supplying the LRH images for this Ode.  She worked tirelessly at her own expense over decades to amass perhaps the largest collection of LRH images in the world.  Images that show LRH in all his humanity, images that the church would never allow to see the light of day.

Bryan Ubaghs – Another Seattle Superstar

I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan Ubaghs (pronounced You Bozz) during the November Seattle Independents gathering.  A friendlier fellow you may never get to know.  A great artist.  A very productive long-term Scientologist.  And a valuable contributor to the blog under the handle Idle Org.  And on top of all that I  love the way he’s got Tony and Marie-Jo’s backs.

My story is a simple one. I entered Scientology in 1989, at the age of 21. It didn’t take much indoctrination to quickly decide that LRH’s tech was indeed what I had been looking for.

By age 41 I had been a Scientologist for twenty years. I had defended LRH and the tech many times by then. I had helped on numerous artistic projects, painting murals, playing drums with Bill Bertinot and The Fabulous Spontanes during ASHO events, creating artwork for Mark Arnold’s fiction writings, and too many other actions, along with commendations, to mention here.

I even tried my hand being on staff several times, although briefly.

If I had a dollar for every person I’ve body-routed, every piece of promo I’ve stuffed or every project I’ve helped on over the years, I’d be rich.

My point is that I fully support LRH’s goals toward a better, safer, saner earth.

And that is exactly why I have officially left the Church of Scientology as it exists under its current leadership.

Today the emphasis is on money. It is also on force. Force to join staff. Force to think like the group. Force to figure out how to pay what will easily amount to half a million dollars to attain the highest OT levels, keep the IAS coffers filled, and purchase brick and mortar Ideal Orgs (which absolutely have not been earned if we are honest about confronting the actual production stat trends over the long term).

On the subject of Ideal Orgs, I personally feel that they are simply a camouflauged hole. A very unusual, utterly off-policy “solution” to hide the fact that the course rooms are empty. That zero Scientology celebrities promote being in the church any longer in the public eye. That dozens of OT7’s and 8’s have not only left the church recently, but have gone online to publish their names, photos, contact information and personal horror stories regarding the above items I’ve mentioned.

The IAS has collected hundreds of millions of dollars over the past couple of decades, yet there are more big pharma ads for drugs today than ever before, by a long shot.

But the thing I simply cannot ignore is that far too many long-time, highly-trained Scientologists are not only abandoning their church world wide, they are unanimously calling for the removal of one David Miscavige.

The glaring outpoint here is that you are not allowed to look at anything critical of Scientology or COB. You are not allowed to search the internet on these matters. You are not allowed to take full Knowledge, Responsibility and thus Control of the situation. You are not allowed to evaluate all of the data for your own, personal self.

Instead, others are deciding what is and isn’t “acceptable” information and then forcing this massive blind spot upon you, with threat of heavy “ethics” and even expulsion if you merely begin querrying the outpoints you may have noticed.

Well, this is NOT the work or intention of LRH. It is a trap.

Right now, differentiate between L. Ron Hubbard and current management. They are NOT the same thing, at all.

The glaring outpoint is: You would be totally free to look at and decide upon whatever you please as a free citizen of America and other nations if current Scientology management had nothing to hide.

I’ve done the research. I’ve dared to look. And current Scientology management has a LOT to hide. It is a fact that the FBI is now investigating COB specifically. I’ll let you do your own research on that one. It’s too incredible to believe. Literally.

If you are currently afraid of being your full self, speaking freely and obtaining any data you like, anywhere……then you are utterly and completely in a trap. And you know it. You absolutely do.

That said, there is a massive, world-wide movement right now to free the tech and make it affordable and available to the masses on this planet.

For most people of earth don’t even know where their dinner is coming from tonight, let alone how to come up with impossible funds to go up the Bridge.

Please do not buy into the gross lie that Tony DePhillips is the kingpin of evil in the NW. Please have some dignity and integrity regarding this matter. Tony and his wife, Marie-Jo, have done more to help LRH in terms of cash donations, effort and energy than most in this city. It is ridiculous, shameful and massively unethical to declare these good people as “Suppressive Persons”. In fact, it’s downright embarrassing! Another camouflauged hole. And since the DePhillips’ departure, have student points shot upward? Have Clears and trained auditors been coming off the assembly line in sudden abundance? Have bodies in the shop advanced one bit? No. They certainly have not. And reports from across the world are that most Ideal Orgs are graveyards of inactivity, despite the flashy presentation and PR at events.

Fancy buildings will never hide the fact of massive unpopularity.

There are lots of friends on the outside. There is life on the outside. Many are going up LRH’s Bridge on the outside, minus the group-think, the heavy ethics, the forced introversion, the unbearable expense.

Best of luck. Your own integrity is very definitely far more important than anything your seniors in the church try to force you into agreeing with.

Truth be told, they are NOT your actual seniors, in any way, shape or form.

That is, unless you decide that they are.

Statistics

The post that follows was submitted by Northwest Independent Coordinator Tony DePhillips.  Tony coordinates an impressive network of prominent, smart OTs from Alaska to Oregon and from Washington to Wyoming – many of whom, for a variety of good reasons, are still flying missions under the radar.   This little gem on the subject of statistics was written by one of them. An indvidual, by the way, who has accumulated considerable Scientology expansion statistics of his own over the years.

I am going to introduce his post with the answer to his implied question: why aren’t statistics being shared and operated on by Miscavige and co?   Well, it is one answer, straight from cob:

Sworn deposition testimony of David Miscavige taken in a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court in April 1990, three years after having invented and then appropriated to himself the highest “ecclesiastical” position in the church, Chairman of the Board RTC:

Q. HAVE YOU BEEN CERTIFIED AS HAVING TAKEN THE ORG EXECUTIVE COURSE?

A. I DON’T THINK SO.

Q. HAVE YOU GRADUATED FROM THE ORG EXECUTIVE COURSE?

A. NO.

(RECORD READ AS FOLLOWS: “QUESTION: DID YOU HAVE ANY COMMUNICATIONS FROM MR. HUBBARD, IN WRITING, EITHER BY TELEX OR TYPEWRITTEN FORM, REGARDING THE MANAGEMENT OF OTHER SCIENTOLOGY ORGANIZATIONS OR CORPORATIONS AFTER YOUR ARRIVAL AT GILMAN HOT SPRINGS?”)

MS. PLEVIN: CONFERENCE —

MR. HELLER: DO YOU AUTOMATICALLY —

MS. PLEVIN: — BETWEEN WITNESS AND COUNSEL.

MR. HELLER: — NOTE IF THERE’S A CONFERENCE?

THE REPORTER: YES.

MR. HELLER: SO IT’S NOT NECESSARY FOR YOU TO SAY THAT EVERY TIME.

(ATTORNEY-CLIENT DISCUSSION HELD OFF THE RECORD.)

THE WITNESS: TELL ME WHAT YOU MEAN BY “MANAGEMENT.” YOU DEFINE FOR ME “MANAGEMENT.”

BY MS. PLEVIN:

Q. WELL, WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND “MANAGEMENT” TO MEAN, MR. MISCAVIGE?

MR. HELLER: NO. NO.

THE WITNESS: I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION.

MR. HERTZBERG: HE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION. WOULD YOU, PLEASE, EXPLAIN THE QUESTION?

BY MS. PLEVIN:

Q. DO YOU HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING AS TO WHAT “MANAGEMENT” MEANS?

A. I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE QUESTION. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN BY “MANAGEMENT” WHEN YOU USE THAT TERM. YOU ALSO ASKED ME NUMEROUS THINGS.

Statistics

by Nanook of the Northwest

The biggest omission in any Scientology event or International Scientology News magazine is the statistics of Scientology.

As every Scientologist knows all Orgs and Missions dutifully collect and report their statistics each and every week. The basic statistics are: Gross Income; Gross Book sales; Number of book sold; Number of auditing hours; Total value of services delivered; Number of books sold to new people (who have never started a paid service in Scientology) and First Service Starts (people starting their very first paid service in Scientology). Bigger Scientology centers have stats like the Number of Auditors made, or People who made it to Clear. There are MANY more statistics; Scientology Orgs and Missions report as many as 30 to 80 statistics to management every week.

Statistics are tabulated for each type of Scientology center, Organizations, Missions, Advanced Orgs, etc. They are tabulated by country, region, continent and of course world wide. The record of statistics goes WAY back.

It is possible to see the complete statistics of Scientology stretching back to at least the 1970’s, if not earlier.

So the question is: Why doesn’t the church SHOW the stats?

If the number of new people starting their first paid service in Scientology was going up and up and up, don’t you think that they would show us the graph?

Of course they would!!!!!

If any or all of the major statistics of Scientology were going up and up and up for the last 40 years you can bet your last cent that the church would be showing the graphs to every one.

Its not that the Church does not show ANY stats. There are graphs shown at events and such. Maybe there will be a graph of the number of LRH books donated to libraries. Or the number of Way to Happiness booklets distributed. But these are not the real basic statistics of Scientology.

Any communication from Management to Scientologists should include the real statistics. Let’s see the Mission network stats, all of them as mentioned above for the last year, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years. Let’s see the same for all Class 5 Organizations. If the Ideal Org program is working than this should not be a problem.

The very fact that the statistics are NOT shown is a strong indicator that they are DOWN.

Of course one cant say they are down just by not seeing the graph, but simple logic dictates that the statistical graphs not being shown broadly indicates something negative.

L. Ron Hubbard has written literally hundreds of policy directives about management by statistics.

In the policy letter entitled: “False Reports” (2 April 1965) Mr. Hubbard says:
“You will find inevitably that where there is a false report, a false attestation or a no-report or a refused report many other offenses can suddenly emerge. These were hidden like a group cancer. Pulled to view, the group clears.” …”Troubles, commotions and upsets only occur after a series of false reports, false attestations, no-reports or withheld reports.” (Italics not added, they are in the original LRH text.)

In any sort of a true group the stats would be shown, good or bad. They are the reality of what is. Up or down, the stats show expansion or contraction. If they are up then the discussion is about why they went up and what can be done to continue the rise. And if they are down, then the group can discuss why they went down and what can be done to make the stats go up again.
But to not show the stats, or report false stats short circuits the process. Now there can be no real discussion of what needs to be done.

A no-report indicates either a complete incompetence or something is being hidden…or both. It is completely wrong to think that there are “other reasons” for not showing the stats. Some may dream up the idea that reporting down stats is bad for morale. But LRH does NOT say this is the case.

Any competent and honest management would NEVER withhold this information, they would report what is and then work with the group to improve things, unless they had something to hide.

If you managed a company and one department refused to report their regular statistics but instead reported a bunch of newly made up statistics promoting how great things were going, what would YOU do?

Worse Than Fair Game?

I have been criticized by Scientology haters for not laying blame for the abuses and demise of the church of Scientology on L Ron Hubbard.  Some have pointed to my refusal to credit the Fair Game Policy (SPs may be tricked, cheated, lied to, sued or destroyed without any recourse to Scientology justice) as being the chief motivating policy behind the evil and criminal deeds Miscavige’s Office of Special Affairs (OSA) and RTC routinely commit against those who refuse to comply with the dictator’s reign.  My response was, and is, that 99% of staff, including the Sea Org, have not even heard of the Fair Game policy, so of course they do not apply it.

What then does justify the criminality demanded by Miscavige in the minds of those who feel they must comply? Certainly he lacks the charisma personally to make people want to  harm others to protect him and his regime.  While providing some assistance to Daniel’s defense preparation, I was asked by some people involved, “what makes these people (OSA) think what they are doing is ok”?  It prompted me to do a little soul searching on the subject. I knew that I’d do something similar, perhaps not as over-the-top and vicious,  if I were confronted with similar circumstances back in the day. What motivated me to comply?  What justified my actions in working to destroy other human beings when I set up OSA and worked through it for so many years?

The answer was HCO PL 12 February 1967 The Responsibilites of Leaders

Please note that LRH wrote the Policy Letter for the Org Executive Course, and issued it as Admin (Administration) Know How Series 13.  He did not make it confidential.  He did not issue it to the Guardian’s Office (predecessor of OSA).

The Responsibilities of Leaders is one of the more widely recognized and revered policy letters of the thousands LRH wrote.

While the policy letter sets forth some interesting  and insightful principles concerning the subject of power, it has been abused by executives on many occasions throughout the years.

Ironically, or perhaps predictably, Miscavige was obsessed with the very paragraph I quoted above. But, not the line I quoted. The rest of the parapraph, from point 6 of the 7 points about power:

He (the Power) doesn’t have to know all the bad news, and if he’s a power really, he won’t ask all the time, “What are all of those dead bodies doing at the door?”  And if you are clever, you never let it be thought HE killed them — that weakens you and also hurts the power source. “Well, boss, about all those dead bodies, nobody at all will suppose you did it. She over there, those pink legs sticking out didn’t like me.”  “Well,” he’ll say if he really is a power, “why are you bothering me with it if it’s done and you did it.  Where’s my blue ink?”  Or “Skipper, three shore patrolmen will be along soon with your cook, Dober, and they’ll want to tell you he beat up Simson.”  “Who’s Simson?”  “He’s a clerk in the enemy office downtown.”  “Good. When they’ve done it, take Dober down to the dispensary for any treatment he needs. Oh yes. Raise his pay.”  Or “Sir, could I have the power to sign divisional orders?”  “Sure.”

Miscavige crammed me and ordered me to cram others on The Responsibilities of Leaders many times; all in the context of emphasizing the brutal, blind loyalty requirement aspect of it as outlined in the text cited above.

Miscavige and his wife Shelly required RTC executives to read several books on Simon Bolivar (the subject of The Reponsibilities of Leaders policy letter) to drive the point home.

Did anyone notice that one of the first Miscavige “re-issued” LRH books that was released in the late eighties after LRH’s death was the Ethics book, and that suddenly it had 12 pages of The Responsbilities of Leaders added?  From thenceforth, DM’s control manual was required reading and a part of one’s hat, not only for staff but for public.

You don’t think it has become part of every corporate church Scientologist’s hat?  Well, Miscavige also slipped it into Volume 0 of the OEC, the Basic Staff Hat.

I assure you it was David Miscavige who personally ordered The Responsibilities of Leaders into Vol 0 and into the Scientology Ethics book.

Now, recognize that while this policy was being crammed into the skulls of all Scientology executives, with particular emphasis on the segment that would suggest to some that committing crimes including murder is quite expected of anyone “on board”, Miscavige was busy turning the entire church PR and Marketing apparatus onto positioning David Miscavige as being the ultimate “Power” of Scientology.  The guy who should have bodies slayed and disposed of quietly on his behalf by anyone who is “on board.”

As interpretted and applied by Corporate Scientology Responsibilities of Leaders in some ways is more nefarious than Fair Game. At least there were some boundaries with Fair Game.  It was couched in the passive. That is “may be” lied to, cheated, sued…..”without recource” to Scientology justice.  You also had to be declared SP to receive that treatment, and back in the day you could always get a comm ev to challenge the SP declare.  Now, Miscavige only has to look at someone sideways, or express his displeasure about someone, or finger someone for execution – and the bots are expected to rally into action, by whatever means necessary, in order to protect the power they depend upon.  Miscavige has slaughtered all Justice lines in the church and for going on twenty years there has not been a straight comm ev available for anything.

By any means necessary, towards anybody regardless of their status and worth, with no recourse possible.

I am not at this stage passing judgment on the wisdom of the inclusion of point Six of the seven points of power in the original policy letter. That may or may not be a debate at some time in the future.  Fact of the matter is, to focus one’s attention on that passage exclusively, to make the policy (originally an Admin Know How policy) part of the Ethic of a Scientologist, to make it part of the Basic Staff Hat, while continuously berating all high level executives of the organization to apply it unquestioningly on behalf of the only recognized “Power” of Scientology, resulted in a lot of otherwise decent people doing a lot of ugly things to other people who didn’t deserve that treatement.

Frankly DM, the Hamiltons don’t give a damn

Well, with mixed emotions, we are announcing we are now declared “suppressive persons” – the mixed emotions are amusement and embarrassment – our amusement, but not our embarrassment. It is embarrassment for IJC and CJC and all those involved in writing or approving this issue.

We will share part of it with you, so you can see that it must have been written quickly and under a lot of pressure to do so – thus it was general (in violation of writing an ethics order), full of out points and very inaccurate.

Number one, it says: “Mark and Lisa Hamilton of Henderson, NV”…now come on, don’t they read their emails? their mail? or any website? At least they could have looked in the phone book. We live in Gardnerville, NV – which is almost 500 miles north of Henderson…we have NEVER been to Henderson, nor do we even know anyone who does. We are debating if they are simply that sloppy or they thought there might be people trying to stay friends with us or find us and this might throw them off the trail….hmmm…

Secondly, it says we “were promptly encouraged to apply LRH policy [after we blew]”. Another blatant lie. Kirsten from OSA Int called Lisa’s dad to see if he knew where we were. He said no (which was the truth). Lisa wrote Kirsten a letter from Moose, Wyoming (as we were out and about seeing the Grand Tetons and Old Faithful) and said not to contact our relatives and we had no plans to come back at that point. We never talked to her or anyone else at that time or received any communication. We had NO comm from anyone in the church for about a year after that – after we had to flap about them not following the law as we could not get our year-end tax forms. The flap did impinge and got us our forms.

It says we violated HCO PL Leaving and Leaves as we “secretly planned to leave” – which is not true. We did not plan or talk about it until the morning we left – when we just could not take having our hygiene cut AGAIN in order to sit in a room and cold-call people and reg them for another Basics book package. We just decided to leave and left. No planning. Just pack and walk out. Then have fun driving to Wyoming.

Very spontaneous.

The rest of it is just as bad or worse. We can’t even tell what they are referring to in parts of it, even though it is us who supposedly did these dastardly deeds. Besides the dropped out time on events, it says Mark was assigned to “simple administrative functions” – he was an executive in his org. It seems to be made of frustrated, whole cloth and we guess they are trying to somehow “dead agent” us so people think they will get sick if they talk to us.

Some months ago, Lisa wrote IJC and asked for our Freeloader Bills as we were going to at least start paying that. We NEVER got what those were. There was some sort of rigmarole between IJC and PAC Security where we guess they were going to try to get us to come down to PAC for the information – very obviously had some sort of plan as it was a big Q&A. But after Lisa would not agree to violating her integrity and only be friends and/or talk to who they said was okay, she could never get a straight answer from either IJC or the Security guard as to WHAT exactly was our F/L debt. In fact, neither IJC nor PAC Security have answered her last email from MONTHS ago. CJC, who wrote this dumb issue, never even tried to contact us…or on second thought, maybe he was looking in Henderson….

Now, you may ask, how, then, did we get the declare if they forgot where we lived? The simple answer is a friend found it and sent it to us for grins….which we did get and for which they are thanked for.

Lisa can take some responsibility for the issue being so bad, as Richard Valle, the CJC used to be her junior and she is no longer there to verify the data is accurate. His senior, Lon Kloeffler, the Snr I&R, (who unfortunately was also her junior) is not usually concerned with truth, but with making people look bad, so his innate meanness and twisting of the truth to suit the occasion would have blinded him to the errors. We are, though, very surprised with IJC missing the gaping out-points, but then he must still be off post regging for the IAS or the Basics. Who knows?

Realize that the truth is that the church terminals did not want us to have a copy of our declare as they knew it was ridiculous and it would be exposed as such. The same is happening to others…they are being declared and then being told they cannot have a copy of the issue as it is “church property”… it is pathetic and cowardly, really.

This may seem a bit harsh. However, it is being done tongue-in-cheek and with laughter in our hearts. We are alive, doing well in – GARDNERVILLE, NEVADA – and are applying Scientology to our lives – openly, freely and for the better.

We hope you are too.

How Miscavige Killed Church Management

In January 1996 when I returned to the Int Base after two years of tech training at the Ship and Flag, Miscavige was well in progress on annihilating church management.

First, Miscavige was in the process of  busting Marc Yager off CO CMO INT/WDC Chairman and spent three years attempting to turn the man into a mouse.

Second, Miscavige had nearly all those who remained in Int Managment working on an evolution as massive in content and as destructive in result as Golden Age of Tech.  In his Stalinesque style Miscavige dubbed it New Era of Management. Like GAT, NEM consisted of endless binders of  Miscavige written and/or directed and approved material. Just as GAT forever altered and replaced LRH tech, NEM forever altered and buried LRH admin.

Miscavige had teams of key executives for Upper Middle Management (Int Liaison Office which he had previously dubbed Flag Command Bureaux which was originally back in the day of LRH called the Flag Bureau) and for every Continental management office up at Int Base for months preparing to fire to implement his grand NEM scheme in one, sudden, implant-like fashion.   Those involved in that evolution are well represented here and I am sure can fill in some of the details of their engramic several month Q and A “briefing” period.  If the “trainees” or “Missionaires in briefing” learned anything it was these two lessons that were implanted with an atomic branding iron:

a)  Miscavige and his NEM issues were senior to LRH and his virtual books (in the form of Flag Orders and Central Bureau Orders and OEC) on management.

b) Scientology did not exist at the International Scientology Headquarters.

Third, the international tech heirarchy was effectively made leaderless by the busting of Ray Mithoff from the post of Senior C/S Int.  Oh,he retained the title, but he was made a mere figurehead (just as Heber had been made as President CSI and Guillaume as ED Int as early as the eighties).  Dan Koon was put on as Snr C/S Int Chief – administrative head of the Snr CS Int Office. Once DM effectively dead agented Ray with all Int tech terminals (including his own Snr CS Int office) Dan was posted elsewhere – and Ray from thereon out was nothing more than a figurehead (Note: Dan had no knowledge and played no part in the Miscavige Op – Dan is the last person in the world who would engage in denigrating a person into oblivion).

Next Miscavige appointed Mark Ingber as CO CMO INT/WDC Chairman.  Through continual barrages of verbal cross orders to not only LRH, but even to his own NEM, plus beatings and invalidation, Miscavige soon destroyed Ingber.

Miscavige replaced Ingber with Jenny Linsen Devocht.  Through the same methods that he had destroyed Yager and Ingber, sans the beatings, he destroyed Jenny.

Miscavige replaced Linsen with Wendell Reynolds of Int Finance Dictator fame.  But Wendell soon went the route of the other who preceeded him.

By the time Miscavige had made mincemeat of that troika, Yager had graduated the RPF (1999) and he was thrown back into the fire.  By then,  CMO Int and Exec Strata were choked by so many restrictions (such as no evals allowed; no programs that did not push NEM and Golden Age of Tech allowed) that International Management had become a mere functionless title.  To ensure no management would emanate from Int, Miscavige assigned the entire Int Base lower conditions from which they never were allowed to emerge.  Yager was declared SP, as were a number of Interntional managers, as were Mike Rinder (while WDC OSA) and I (while on the post of IG), as were a number of other Int base execs; all ordered by Miscavige, all while we continued to occupy our posts.

By the year 2000, Scientology Management was dead.

The proof of the pudding is the current scene.  Here it is in a nutshell:

Marc Yager is still holds the title CO CMO INT/WDC Chairman.  But there is no CMO INT nor WDC, with the exception of Angie Blankenship who holds WDC Ideal Orgs. But Angie doesn’t answer to Yager; she reports and answers to Miscavige.  Yager has been reduced to being a preps boy (culling pc folders and ethics folders at Int to find lurid details on the likes of us) for Dan Sherman (LRH Biographer) to write “freedom mags” and the myriad anti-Marty sites OSA has its operatives pretend spontaneously appear.

Yager does not even report to Miscavige, because Miscavige cannot look at him without leaping at him and pummeling him to a pulp every time he is in his sight. So, Jenny Linsen (whose post title is D/CO Production CMO INT) actually forwards and all communication between Miscavige and her nominal senior Yager.

Miscavige bypasses whatever is left between Int Liaison Office (Upper Middle Management) and Continental Liaison Offices and orgs by directly running every CO CMO Cont.  That is right, he receives weekly reports routed directly to COB RTC from each CO CMO.  The reports report on stats for each continent and org (as in Ship, FSO, PAC) where each CMO unit is located.  Miscavige then whips out his dictaphone and rattles off weekly orders to the CO CMO’s on a purely stimulus-response basis.  And that is what he calls management. Anyone with the slightest training or understanding of LRH FO and CBO and HCOPL tech recognizes that I do not exagerate when I say that management has long since died, and there is no such thing as management any more.  There may be bodies at the CSI Management building at Hollywood and Ivar, and there may be bodies in CLOS, but per HCO PL Danger Conditions, Why Organizations Stay Small – with such long term and thorough bypass, they do not in fact exist.

To exacerbate matters Miscavige utterly bypasses Snr CS Int Office, Tech and Qual bureaus Int and Cont, and even tech heirarchies of orgs such a FSSO and FSO and AOs by virtue of running all tech matters through his RTC rep NW.  They too write weekly reports to Miscavige and he replies to each one – when he is not too busy skiing, scuba diving, or attending premieres with celebrity pals.  Most of those reps have never audited a single grade on another person, nor even C/S’d a person up a single grade or level of the Bridge.

RTC at Int is reduced to nothing but service facilities for Miscavige – communicators, secretaries, mail clerks, stewards, maids, chefs, etc – and Warren McShane who handles “Legal”.   Incidentally, some wonder why OSA has become a toothless shadow of a network.  That too is answered by HCO PL, Danger Conditions.  DM and Warren have bypassed them, directly hiring and running an outside intelligence apparatus to “monitor” my “activities.”   And they are incompetent beyond belief.  Meanwhile whenever OSA does through blood, sweat and tears establish an intelligence line in my general vicinity, Miscavige blows it by ordering some knee-jerk (completely stimulus-response)  “expose” on Marty and Mike; expose’s that are so thoroughly chock-full of embellishment and lies they have zero impact.   And so,  the last thing Miscavige used to be able to rely upon (a network that at least could make people afraid of him) has also been decimated by Miscavige himself.

By the way, since the late nineties the one corporate and ecclesiastical post that could anything about this state of affairs technically has been usurped also by Miscavige. The CO Church of Spiritual Technology (CST, which holds an option to shut down and take over RTC’s function in the event of this level of departure from RTC purpose and function) Russ Bellin had been Miscavige’s project manager for such important matters as the Mark VIII E-meter that has been rotting in a warehouse for five years (and will likely remain there forever), and building unbelievably expensive CD and transcript productions lines (which are largely superfluous in this day of downloadable audio and video).  That all ended a couple of years ago when Miscavige (as is his habit) decided everything Russ did (that had been heavily promoted by Miscavige as being the only competent products on his lines) were all Overt Products (even though Miscavige publicly basks in the glory of them to this day).  Miscavige busted Russ to Int Finance Director, after he found out the previous IFD (Wendell Reynolds) had secretly financed the blow of an Int Staff member (God bless Wendell after all).

Russ got tired of  two years in the hole and this past spring made a break for it.   Unfortunately, his foot kicked the fence on his way over, and he was quickly apprehended and returned by Gold Security.

Miscavige has kept CST in check by a loophole he found in LRH’s estate planning that sought to guard against Miscavige’s type of destrcutive dictatorship.  That is, CST officers and directors must remain in good standing with the mother church CSI in order to qualify for remaining in CST.  DM controls CSI with an iron fist, and the moment anyone in CST shows the slightest sign of stepping out of line, why, Miscavige simply arranges their dismissal from CST into a lower corporation like CSI – as he did with Bellin.

Perhaps all this sheds more light on why I have no hesitancy in pronouncing the church’s death.

This true state of affairs is why I have been directing my attention more and more towards the future.

Worrying about the church, or hoping for its salvage, is a collossal waste of time and energy.

It is dead.
