I REMEMBER by Tiziano Lugli

 I remember when Scientology was fun…when Scientologists were actually UP TONE!

When staff members were eager to get on their posts and produce the VFPs of their Hats, not to be turned into 24/7 All Hands Regging Particles.

I remember when CC Int used to be fun. When there were not cliques of celebs and big donors, not A-B-C-D lister. Where you would have a friendly environment where people where actual friends.

I remember when you knew that when you’d get off your o/ws in session on FPRD they wouldn’t use them against you in case you leave in the future.

I remember when going to the Freewinds and Flag was a peaceful, relaxing and pure theta experience.

I remember when the Fort Harrison was NOT a 5 star Hotel with an alleged 5 star service, but was FULL all of the time, instead of empty as it is now.

I remember when you could talk freely about the tech with friends, questions you had, share your wins and rely on your friends for advice without getting into “ethics trouble”.

I remember when it was all about OT phenomena and Theta wins and not just mere lousy MEST and money wins.

I remember waking up and wanting nothing else but to go on course, having the excitement to KNOW the next part on the checksheet, where pure understanding and application was the only goal of our Supervisors, not just a machine to shove you through a course in record time to show how DM’s new line up is 10 times faster.

I remember when Scientology would actually raise your IQ and make you more able at challenging knowledge.  When it made Lions out of people, not scared and wounded sheep.

 

I remember when you used to finish a drill and be really happy about it knowing that you REALLY got it, instead of already feeling invalidated because you would have to re-do it 5 more times by the Golden Age of Tech new checksheet.

I would dare ANYONE even only after a week of passing the test, to tell me 20 Tone Levels and their respective arbitrary number that goes with it, or how about the thirteenth law of L&N, or how about ALL of the manifestations in order of the Misunderstood Word. I remember when full conceptual understanding was senior to verbatim patterns.

I remember when you could take some new friend who had newly found admiration for you and was interested in your wins, and you would tell them, “yeah, it’s Scientology” and they were able to come into the org, and meet upstat and uptone people, get greeted as Beings, not as Div Six particles. They were able to walk in and out freely, without the Div 6 Regs overwhelming them and making them into nothing, so that they could at least sell them something, and have a fake statistic to report to their seniors.

I remember when Sea Org Members were there for the products they’d create, they were friendly…and when the stats were not the goal, they were simply a by-product of their good work.

When an SO member was not just another obstacle you try to pass at an event or at session/course break trying to reg you in every which way they could – buy this, the new books, the new lectures, come to the seminar where we’re gonna sell you something, there’s an IAS special briefing JUST for you, we gotta get you active on Human Rights, Criminon, Narconon, you gotta take a post in a mission – and when everything was said and done (and you were still broke) – do you qualify for the Sea Org?  I need you to come see a special slide show…

The Church of Scientology we once knew is DEAD.

What was once lost can be found again, and what was once great can be greater… and we surely do come back.

At the top there is the biggest traitor of the freedom it proclaims it instills and with nearly a billion dollars in the bank, the torch of the IAS is now and forever dead.

In this church of conformity the pretence of “we disagree” remains just a lousy sales pitch to make the few rebels for freedom enslave themselves to the degree that they NEVER agreed.

Never ‘play’ with your own integrity in the hope of some future freedom…it just never works out that way.
 
Be TRUE to yourself, in EVERY step of the way…whichever way that is.
 
 
 
You can’t scream to calm somebody down. You can’t fight a war for peace. You can’t hate to preserve love and you cannot enslave the people if you’re trying to free beings.

Haiti

By now most of us probably have an idea of just how catastrophic the Haiti earthquakes have been for the people of that nation.  Relief efforts have dominated the news for the past week. WH suggested on this blog that people give something to those efforts. Someone commented it was not clear what charities one could trust. I commented that I personally trust Paul Haggis and his Artists for Peace and Justice, http://www.artistsforpeaceandjustice.com/. I know that Paul has been working on Haiti relief for years – and not just as a photo op.  I spoke to Paul yesterday. He was on his way to Haiti, despite being in the midst of round the clock production on a film. He said it was rather personal for him, since a number of close friends were killed by the quakes. That speaks volumes as to Paul’s deep ties and commitment to the beleaguered nation and its people.   

WH also suggested that if you could just donate a nominal amount it would make you feel better. Well, Mosey and I took her advice. I’ll tell you straight up, we were only able to contribute $25.  It is all relative. It made us feel like we were doing at least something. 

For those who have an attitude that Haiti is not their problem, fine. But, I did a lot of research on Haiti a couple years back while writing a book. I am going to share with you the draft chapter that dealt with Haiti below. It is rough, and it might shock your sensibilities and some of your stable data. I am not attempting to go political on anyone. I’m not recruiting anyone for anything.  I’m just sharing some facts that have been kept from the public view by the powers that be for some time. If nothing else, it might help dispel some ingrained false perceptions you did not even know that you carried around with you. From my perspective, a contribution to Haiti ain’t a hand out,  it is a hand back.

Chapter 4

The American media and entertainment industry is fond of portraying Africa as a land of inherently savage, backward people. A review of the history of Africa vis a vis American media, politics, literature and film reveals a studied 350 year campaign to denigrate an entire race of humanity and the very land from which it was born. And it continues to this day, albeit more subtle than in the earlier days.

 We briefly examine two countries that white America has defined as the epitome of failed black rule; the Caribbean island nation of Haiti and the heart of the African continent, Nigeria.

 Haiti has become a modern metaphor for “failed state.” History has been very cleverly written by the conquerers to misrepresent who made it fail.

 Haiti was the first and last slave state that was liberated exclusively by the slaves themselves. Prior to the 19th century, Haiti was widely considered as the richest land in the world. It was estimated that a significant percentage of France’s economy was built on the exports from its Haitian plantations.

 Toussaint L’Overture is known as the liberator of Haiti. He lead some of the most heroic campaigns in world military history against technologically advanced and numerically larger French and British forces. For generations his revolution was cited by both pro and anti slavery forces as the most barbarous in history. Pro-slavery advocates used Haiti as the example of what would occur to white America if black slaves were not physically and psychologically tamed to obey their masters. Anti-slavery folks pointed to Haiti as a scare tactic against plantation owners, predicting the most blood curdling atrocities when the black slaves ultimately revolted in the South.

 Yet, the truth is that Toussaint L’Overture was anything but savage. L’Overture was given a measure of freedom by his master that the vast majority of slaves were not. His master encouraged L’Overture to become educated, which he took full advantage of. Ultimately L’Overture came to the rescue of his former white master and curbed the natural impulses of the Haitian revolutionaries to exact revenge and inflict punishment upon their esrstwhile overlords – an impulse carried out to one degree or another in all Caucasian revolutions. The acts of the Haitians against their former masters were tame by comparison to the atrocities committed during the nearly contemporaneous French revolution.

 The carnage that would falsely paint Haiti and its then-African governors as savage for the next two hundred years occurred years after L’Overture had wrested control of the island nation. Upon forcibly severing the yoke of slavery over his people, L’Overture initially did not even declare independence from France. He was willing to allow white French to remain in Haiti and for the country to remain under French jurisdiction. All that he demanded was that slavery be abolished forever.

 The most astounding aspect of the Haitian revolution – which you will find in no standard European/American history texts – was the record time in which it rebuilt itself. With the majority of its population forbidden any sort of education,  even the right to learn to read, for many generations the prospects for reconstruction were dim. Yet, L’Overture quickly rebuilt agriculture and commerce, and collected taxes and used them to build infrastructure, most importantly, schools.

 Within two years of the revolution, Haiti’s gross domestic product was 2/3rds its pre-revolution level. Nowhere in any land has a country so rapidly recovered economically from a revolution or war that ended in a newly formed government.

 L’Overture’s efforts were so steller, the three powers of western civilization conspired amongst, and against, themselves to put period to Haiti’s rise. 

 The French violated a number of internationally recognized conventions among nations to attempt to regain effective control over Haiti.  By deceit they lured L’Overture into captivity, and shipped him to France. When L’Overture arrived he was  imprisoned in the Alps, where after several months of subjugation to inadequate nutrition and shelter he perished.

 Meanwhile, the United States government was conspiring with the British to make Haiti fail. Thomas Jefferson himself expresssed concerned that a successful black nation would send the wrong message to the slaves on US plantations and sought to ‘confine the plague to the island.’ Representatives of the Jefferson administraton and British counterparts embargo’d Haiti, isolating and choking off its interaction with the rest of the world. When the embargo began to destroy the Haitian economy, the British and Americans told L’Overture’s successors that the only way it could enter the world of trade and commerce would be if the Haitian’s executed all remaining French on the island and cut all ties with France.

 After complying with US and British demands, the Haitians learned they’d been subjected to a bait and switch con. Instead of lifting the embargos, the world powers broadly disseminated the ‘atrocities’ the Haitians had commited against the remaining French in Haiti to paint people of African descent as having an inherent inability to civilize or govern themselves. The American sanctions against Haiti stayed in place for more than fifty years, when they were finally cancelled by Abraham Lincoln’s administration. By then Haiti was a virtual anarchy with much of its natural resources stolen by western powers. And once the American Civil War reconstruction efforts were discredited and abolished, more sanctions and lopsided trade policies were inflicted upon Haiti for decades to come.

 For over one hundred and fifty years western corporate interests have looted Haiti for its natural resources and have twice incited the US government to invade and occupy the country to protect their interests.

It fairly makes one wonder what would have become of the emerald island nation had its independence been nurtured rather than suppressed.

The final words of Martin Luther King

Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King conquered hate with love.  He gave his life so that our lives might be filled with more love, tolerance and forgiveness.  If you think I am overstating that, I invite you to  listen to the speech he delivered in Memphis the night before he was gunned down.  He knew what was coming.  His closest advisors suggested he get out of Memphis. But he stood tall so that millions of others might  do so too.  Here was the Code of Honor in application; not just theory. He never compromised with his own reality. His integrity to himself was more important than his body. His self-determinism (nay, pan-determinism) and his honor were more important than his immediate life.

I find it very relevant to from whence we have come, where we are at, and where we are going. It is about being a man or a woman and standing for what is right and what is just. About being counted as a human being. About standing up straight so that the man cannot continue to make you crawl. Or as King himself said in this speech:

“Whenever men and women straighten their backs up they are going somewhere because a man can’t ride your back unless it is bent.”

Regardless, of whether you find any parallels, today is the King’s day.  I don’t think it is too much to ask that we take twenty minutes to listen to, and reflect upon, his final public words.

The final purges – Part One in a series

DM took out Cruise by making him in his own image

Miscavige pulled off three purges in the past couple years that included the annihilations of three critical Commanding Officers in the Scientology network: Captain Flag Service Organization Debbie Cook, President IAS Janet Light, and Commanding Officer Church of Spiritual Technology Russ Bellin. The depowering of those three terminals cleared the way for the entire Church of Scientology network to finally be converted into one, huge crush regging operation. This series begins with a little handi-work that DM performed to clear the way for his carnage. By 2004 Tom Cruise was on fire, in great case shape, and gung-ho about expanding Scientology’s reach. As such, he constituted a real threat to DM.

During mid-decade, Miscavige spent increasing amounts of time at ASI in Los Angeles. Ostensibly, it facilitated his paling around with Tom Cruise which indeed he did plenty of.  Unbeknownst to Tom, DM was very effectively taking TC out of the running too. Whether it was a warm up for the final purges or a separate objective undertaken to satisfy some other sick purpose, the fact is the techniques he used to nullify Cruise were  similar to those he used on executives internally (including Debbie Cook, Russ Bellin, and Janet Light).

Miscavige pandered to Cruise to the point of collapsing the latter’s bank by converting his Church (auditor) into his pc. Miscavige slavishly changed the Church’s entire direction on a whim in response to mere comments by Tom. Tom was concerned for having Churches around the world that were upstat enough he’d feel ok sending VIP friends to them. DM, in his inimitable Ralph Kramden evaluator-who-calls-the-first-outpoint-the situation style, abandoned the LRH St Hill size orgs strategy and diverted hundreds of millions to his new “Idle Orgs” strategy. If some remarkable event does not intervene this strategy alone will likely destroy the entire Church of Scientology network.

DM’s pandering turned into pimping during 04-05, literally. Miscavige directly ran missions to find a 2D for Cruise, again based on a mere comment from Tom that he’d like to have a 2D who was OT or at least a dedicated Scientologist. DM directed his missionaires Greg Wilhere and Tommy Davis to perform a series of Scientology High Crimes during those missions, acts that not only violate the most fundamental ethics principles of Scientology, but would be considered aborhent to the society at large. Those missions will be covered in a later series on this blog.  

What Miscavige did to Tom Cruise and his career was a well practiced pattern. It is an operating basis described by LRH in Science of Survival:

“From 2.0 down to 1.2, efforts to change people or dominate them are recognizable as such. From 1.2 down, all forthrightness vanishes and the most devious and insidious and complex methods are employed to nullify. The individual in this area of the Tone Scale very often has a complete belief in his or her superiority, which is a justification for using the methods he uses. Such people commonly fasten themselves on strong personalities well up the Tone Scale and then continue to assert their superiority (without ever giving, of course, any demonstration that the superiority exists) until the higher level becomes nullified. The individual in this area seeks death not only for himself and his own projects, but also for his entire environment. At this level we have murder, by slow erosion of individuals and the culture, and the actions are masked with voluminous “reasoning.” 

Miscavige nattered incessantly and viciously to Cruise about the then-leading figures in Scientology, including – but not limited to – Mike Rinder, Marc Yager, Guillaume Lesevre, Ray Mithoff, and Greg Wilhere. Miscavige did not limit his rantings to staff, he included such noteworthy public Scientologists as John Travolta and Paul Haggis (and a host of other celebrities). Miscavige inculcated Cruise with the bunker mentality that it was two big beings (DM and TC) against a world of degraded beings. While servicing every personal demand of Tom’s, DM implanted Tom with the idea that it was a matter of scientific fact that DBs automatically and reactively conspire to bring down big beings. Cruise snapped terminals with DM and became his mini-me. He began to treat his own staff much the same way Miscavige treated his.  

Cruise became power drunk, losing sight of his own goals and purposes. He explained to associates emphatically: “You don’t get it. First, there’s LRH. Then there’s COB. Then there’s me.”

His public antics were obvious dramatizations of DM’s valence.

Much like DM, he began directing manic actions with his own staff and professionals that severely undermined his credibility and power base. For example, he ordered his long-time personal assistant Michael Doven to assemble all the big shot agents at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). They were told they had to listen to a special briefing from Mike Rinder and do everything in their power (use every line they had) to help. Doven was shuddering on the way to CAA, receiving regular micro-managing calls from Cruise. Rinder briefed the CAA assembled on the South Park episode coming up and how important it was to spike it. I asked Rinder, “now let me guess Mike, all present looked at you as if you had just landed from another planet.”  Mike replied, “Mars, Marty, they looked at me like I was from freaking Mars.” 

The results of DM’s influence on Tom’s career and professional power were predictable and are now history. Once the most influential and on Source public Scientologist had been compromised and enervated, pulling off his last three purges were like child’s play for Davey.

Latest OSA cyber terrorism backfires again

Thanks for the heads up to the dozens of people who forwarded me the email from an address “indychicago@hushmail.com“.  Your information in terms of routing confirmed my initial suspicions that the entire communication (the indychicago comm along with the attachment which seeks to position me with David Mayo and Bill Robertson and thus dismiss me as someone LRH would abhor) is a sloppy and glutz OSA intelligence op.  Based on a survey of a number of the addresses people received the communication at, OSA blew its cover.  Again, our lightening fast communication lines – and propensity for communicating whenever we perceive a doubt – unearthed yet another exhibit in the case of the people vs. David Miscavige. 

Several of you have asked whether I knew about the blog spot OSA constructed purportedly all about me that was linked in the indychicago message. Yes, I’ve seen it. It is fabulous advertisement for our forum. It is one of five active web sites the Church has put up about me or even purportedly by me. Since June many people have originated to me that the church has directed them to me; though not apparently intentionally.  An example, one gentleman who recently came down for auditing and brotherhood told me how he was pulled in to FSO based on a report that he had looked at “some enetheta” on the internet. After receiving a number of accusatory sec check questions about whether he’d looked at Marty Rathbun’s blog, the first thing he did  – once he was out of the clutches of the FSO  – was to search and peruse my blog. They did the same thing with the obnoxious Freedom magazine. Many people reported going to the St Pete Times site and then my blog in order to find out who Kingpin, Fact Checker, et al. were. Already today I reunited with a long lost friend who found me through the OSA Op email informing him of what a boar I am.

I think today’s lesson is, don’t be so anxious about spreading the word. DM’s minions are doing it for us. Let’s just carry on having fun.

I’m proudly waiting for my “Golden Rod”.

 As many of you might know I have dedicated the past 15 years of my life studying and practicing Scientology as the pure philosophy of L. Ron Hubbard aligned with my desire to help people and to create a sane, happy world. I’m today one of the few Scientologists that has achieved top levels of training and spiritual awareness.

I’m now part of the many Scientologists that have chosen to leave the Church due to Management that I believe to be corrupt (NOTE: I’m officially leaving the Church of David Miscavige, I’m not leaving Scientology. Scientology being the pure technology from Ron Hubbard ONLY). 

I’m today one of the few that has had the courage to openly leave, disconnecting from a Cult that I observed turning a philosophy of freedom into an activity of entrapment called Black Scientology.  I personally witnessed several incidents of injustice, of flagrant lies, extortion, cases where unethical and violent people were protected, where false PR prevailed and where good people were deprived of their rights.

The true Scientology by Ron Hubbard has nothing to do with lies, blackmail, extortion, censorship, human trafficking and racketeering.

L. Ron Hubbard says: 

“I think of (…) Scientologists as the free people.  (…) I don’t expect (…) Scientologists to instantly agree with or seize upon whatever I say. I would be offended if they did and would feel they weren’t free people. Since they are intelligent I expect them to think over what’s said, try it, and if it’s good for them, use it.”

Kathy Braceland – Los Angeles Independent

Kathy Braceland is an OT with a lot of Scientology training. She is a great artist. You should check out her work at http://www.k-jostudio.com/, but only after you’ve read her declaration of independence below. Kathy is one of the most compassionate beings I have had the privilege of coming to know during this great adventure. She is a valuable friend to me and to all of us. 

Lucky me, I worked with a guy who was on HQS way back in 1973.  I was already fascinated with people but I found him most interesting because he carried himself differently than anyone I knew.  As we became friends, I told him things I had stopped telling others because they thought I was “a little off” for thinking such things.  I told him I was interested in telepathy.  Instead of laughing, he agreed with me but said he didn’t know how to do that yet.  I told him I thought that we didn’t just live one life, the body died but we continued to live.  Surprisingly, he didn’t laugh or run away.   I said I wanted to help people and I wanted to know how the mind worked.  He said I should become an auditor, then brought me into the Mission in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada).  I was 17.

Lucky me again, the staff consisted of 2 Cl VIII’s, 2 Cl VI’s, 1 Cl IV and all of them were at least OT III.  I happily paid my $25 for the Comm Course and started my adventure to become an auditor.  I did every course the mission offered, ending with HSDC.  My wish came true.  I learned how the mind worked and I could help people.  I was on cloud 9…this is what I wanted to be…an auditor.  I audited and audited, hundreds of hours of Dianetics.  It was wonderful.  The wins and gains were absolutley mind blowing… literally…ha ha…. 

At the end of 1974, I flew to FCDC.  I was going to be a Cl IV auditor!  Having absolutely no reality on a Cl IV org, nor the USA and Americans, I didn’t know what I was in store for other than I was going to be amongst the big boys that LRH talked about in Keeping Scientology Working.  I was up for it.  I brought my own pc with me just in case they didn’t have one.  I figured he could train up to Cl IV to keep himself busy while he waited for me to audit him.

The training was awesome…rough, tough and standard.  I did my HSDC internship and was a certified, gold sealed Dianetics auditor…wow!  I started my Academy Levels.  TRs and metering every morning, then study and drill.  The course rooms and HGC were full — FCDC was buzzing.  It was exhilarating!  I threw myself into study 7 days a week, 9am until midnight or more.  I would audit any pc I was asked to, on any action. I audited the staff too.  I became the flub catch auditor and the course sup’s little helper.  I did my Cl IV internship and was now a gold sealed, certified Cl IV auditor.  A dream come true!

I returned to Edmonton to audit in the HGC.  I did lots of Life Repairs, Dianetics, repair lists, grades…everything I could audit.  My pcs were flying and I was having the time of my life.  In 1976, I was asked if I would train to be the Cram Off and Qual Sec for the Mission.  I figured, I could help even more pcs at once by assisting other auditors and I could also help the Mission.  Cool….  So I went to FCDC and trained as a Qual Sec.  Ooohh…FEBC tapes, ESTO tapes…awesome!  I returned to Edmonton, set up my Qual and went to work.  I also continued to audit in the HGC. 

In 1977, I went to FCDC and did my Senior Cl IV auditor training.  I kept a rigorous training schedule and would be the first to arrive and last to leave the course room each day.  I couldn’t get enough of the tech…oh man, it was incredible!  Life is just getting better and better.

In 1978, the Edmonton mission became a Cl IV org.  So I graduated into being an org staff member.  Cool….  Life was good.  Our newly formed org rocked!  The course rooms were full, the HGC was alive and full, there were lots of staff and more coming on board…it was fun…it was the best!

I continued on until 1981 and then moved to Los Angeles, where I trained on the HRD and CCRD.  I also attested to Clear.  I concentrated on my OT levels over the next few years and finished OT IV in 1985.  It was all completely fabulous and such a rocket ride!

Then things changed….

January 1986 came to be.  I was at the Palladium event where this guy I’d never heard of stood up and announced that LRH was dead and basically, he was taking over.  Enter David Miscavige.  My heart sank.  None of this was good news.  Through the rest of the event, my mind raced on how I was going to get up the rest of the OT levels quickly.  Over the next few months, I somehow paid for and did OT V and got onto Solo NOTS, finished that and then completed OT VIII in August 1988.  I did it…wow…I made it!  Thank you LRH!!

With the advent of Miscavige, I saw lawsuits spring up.  Prices for services 10Xed what they were, making the Bridge virtually unattainable for the general populace of earth.  Blanket C/Sing (i.e. insanity) was very quickly introduced where everyone going onto their OT levels were sec checked, whether they needed it or not… including in the non-interference zone.  We were all guilty until proven innocent.  This was all under the guise of protecting upper level materials from getting into the wrong hands.  Miscavige had to be certain that no one else would raise a lawsuit against the church and reveal data to the masses.  After all, a few slipped through the cracks.  Who knows who might be next?  It was absurd!

Public Scientologists were asked to drop their lives and help their church.  Nothing wrong with a call to arms, if the intent is clean.  But it wasn’t.  The public were encouraged to taunt, sneer at and hate anyone opposing the church.

Miscavige’s blanket, worldwide C/Sing continued into the 1990’s.  In 1991, Miscavige announced that no one had really finished NOTS, so everybody had to redo it.  At the same time, he said that it was voluntary.  However, if you wanted to get the gains that you’re obviously missing, you’d better get on it.

Miscavige introduced the Golden Age of Tech in the 90’s as well.  The training that we all did prior to this was awesome!  It didn’t need to be fixed.  But Miscavige, being the antithesis of LRH, thought differently than LRH.  Miscavige made a blanket statment to all auditors that we didn’t really understand what we’d been studying for all these years and weren’t we just stupid for thinking we did?  Apparently, none of us were auditing correctly over these decades.  Thusly, the blanket invalidation of all the pc’s that we audited — our pc’s truly didn’t get any wins from the tech that we misapplied.  So now all auditors had to retrain and do it the correct way.  I won’t go into the endless stream of out tech that exists in the orgs…I’ll only mention the out tech of 3 swings on the needle for the f/n and that will get everyone started….

The route to Clear became arduous.  You damn near had to give up your first born. Another blanket C/S was put in place by Miscavige to invalidate the state of Clear and those that had attained it.  Even OT’s were rechecked on their Clear status.  It got worse….  Miscavige introduced yet another blanket C/S on Solo NOTS comps.  Apparently no one did Solo NOTS correctly and no one really finished it.  Miscavige even issued his own laughable “confidential issue” that directly contradicted 2 upper level LRH HCOB’s.  Miscavige’s intent was to confuse, introvert and invalidate.  So now anyone who comped OT VII and anyone currently on OT VII, were supposed to do it all over again.

The same thing happened with OT VIII.   Miscavige claimed that no one did OT VIII correctly either, so it had to be redone.  More lies being spilled from Miscavige’s face.  His intent was to confuse, introvert and invalidate.

All of Miscavige’s cruel and evil inval took it’s toll on the public and staff too.  Increasingly, I saw SO members, staff and public looking like the wind had been knocked out of their sails.  It got to the point where my friends in the SO couldn’t even talk to me..or have lunch with me.  It broke my heart to see it like this….  Unfortunately, the guys in the church bought the snake oil.  They became what I call Stepford Scientologists.  It may be mean but it’s also true. 

A little about church events:  Events are thrown at a huge expense, standing ovations for every person that walks out on stage every 3 minutes, more money has to be donated for all the various networks to keep the bridge to total freedom alive, loads of talk about the expansive promo that’s going to be released (and never is) and LRH is mentioned just often enough at key points to keep the audience interested.  At some point in the late 80’s, the events became mandatory.  That makes me laugh….

Miscavige’s message is always the same — there’s a hidden data line that only he knows about. 

Miscavige has created a never ending mystery sandwich and holds a constant carrot in front of Scientologists. 

Miscavige has invalidated every auditor, pc, Clear, pre OT and OT on this planet and introduced a hidden data line that only he is privy to.  So here’s a public person (or staff) that has been pounded into the ground and made to feel worthless and now Miscavige says he has found some lost tech that’s going to save them from hell.  He’s one sick individual….

Of course the truth of the matter is, there is no hidden data line.  Period. 

Being the little chatterbox that I am, I could go on and on.  I hope no one minds that I didn’t get into my own personal war stories or show my battle scars.  They’re not significant to my story.  Besides, it’s more fun live and in person to talk about that stuff because you’d get all kinds of wild gestures and facial expressions.  But seriously (or as serious as I can get) I really only wanted to give a “before and after” picture from my perspective. 

I guess I should close this up by saying that I’ve been an Independent Scientologist for a very long time and maybe it will help some by knowing this.  I think it will because I have to say, Marty — a man I have always had the deepest respect for — helped me immensely by publicly stating he was out of the church and the reasons for it.  When I saw that first interview with him…I thought “are you kidding me?  Marty Rathbun?  Awesome!”  I hope my little story will have a similar effect.

Murray and Exilda Pearlman – San Diego Independents

The Pearlman family is one to emulate. A beautiful mixture of love, loyalty, insouciance and understanding makes them a joy to be around and associate with. Now you all get to experience them.
 

We would be proud to come out as Independent Scientologists on your site.  We have no Kool-Aid drinking family members. So we Murray and Exilda Pearlman do hereby declare ourselves Independent Scientologists and formally resign from the Church of Scientology as run by David Miscavige.
 
Exilda and I do have some track.  She is a Permanent Class VIII C/S interned and certified by LRH. She got in Scientology in 1964-did the BC at Saint Hill and the 8 course at AOLA in 1970-71.  She interned at Flag for a year in 1973-74 and – LRH C/Sed quite a few of her folders.   She interacted with LRH quite a bit.  He was a playful bloke back then.  She was on staff from 1966 until late 1979 at the LA org as an auditor, Qual Sec and Senior C/S when she left staff.  She did OT VIII in 1994 and went back on OT VII about 2 yrs ago. 

I got on staff at the LA org in 1968 and went Clear in Dec of 1969.  I went to Flag and did the OEC-FEBC course and also had both L-10 and L-12 in 1971.  LRH was my C/S on L-12, it was than called L-10MX as it was experimental- It certainly was one of the best experiences of my life.  You could tell LRH was having fun with developing L-12.  I held many posts during my tenure at the LA org through 1975 and when I left Flag was personally appointed by LRH as the HCO AS (Area Secretary) L A org.   I than worked with the GO for a couple of years doing Social type things including CCHR through 1977 and than did Cl 5 of the Briefing course which was all material through 1971.  I finished OT V in 1995 & had routed onto OTVI- I got some set ups at Flag about two years ago.  The auditing during LRH’s time was definitely better than the Golden Age of Tech auditing.

Why we are Independent Scientologists now has been written on your Web site over and over.  The gross out tech including ethics and admin by Flag and the Orgs  because of David Miscavige setting himself up as a Dictator.  The Golden Age was when LRH was alive and his tech should be followed.  You know when someone comes up with some wild story I always say "does this person think I am an Idiot".  One of the idiot out-points was the Basic Book thing.  That is a Classic "do I look like an idiot".  Or better yet does LRH look like an idiot, which he attempts to make LRH look like.  Oh yes LRH had these books on his desk and knew they were filled with out tech for years. The Blind leading the Blind. Give me a break.  The gross injustice and ethics cycle with my son which is a story for another time.  The watching of the tech being perverted starting with the Golden Age of Tech.  The greed of money for money sake.  The Church is now the true definition of a Squirrel Group.
 
We look forward to the time when the tech is restored and the organization is back set up as LRH intended.   Our friends are those Scientologists and others that are looking for the truth and finding it for themselves.

Dr. Brad and Natalie Hagemo – Twin Cities Independents

Brad is a successful Optometrist who has been helping people see better for over 25 years in Minnesota. He has been a supporter of – not just financially, but as a time and effort contributor to – community causes involving keeping kids off drugs spreading the “Say NO to Drugs, Say YES to Life” message in the Twin Cities.

In addition to helping Brad manage his practice Natalie works as a freelance writer and columnist.  She is OT IV and writes a column for a local paper called “Outside the Box”, where she participates in activities that are outside her comfort zone and writes about them.

Natalie was Mrs. Excelsior 2008 and competed in the Mrs. Minnesota pageant, all the while promoting her platform which was spreading the “Say NO to Drugs, Say YES to Life” message for the Foundation for a Drug Free World. That was until the church kept distracting her from that purpose by asking her to buy more basics and donate money etc.  Natalie was more interested in keeping kids off drugs. She emphasizes the strength of that interest by publicly relating that her biological father was and is a drug addict so this cause is near and dear to her.

You gotta love this couple.

Having been dedicated Scientologists in good standing for the past 20 years and patrons of the IAS, it is with a heavy heart and a firm resolve that I Brad Hagemo and my wife Natalie do hereby withdraw our support of and membership in the Church of Scientology International.  We wish to make it clear that we still support LRH, his goals and his legacy of the Tech.  We also want to acknowledge a clear distinction between the staff and public of our Churches and Missions still struggling to maintain a semblance of LRH‘s church, versus those who blindly follow the dysfunctional executive strata of  C of S International headed by David Miscavage.

LRH made it clear that we inherit the condition we fail to assign.  We all have an obligation as free thinking, responsible thetans to look honestly at the conditions which exist in our dynamics and apply the correct formula.  For too long we have ignored the true condition of the C of S because we wanted to believe the smoke and mirrors PR line that we were winning.  When we did look at the isness what we saw was a small, desperate group of individuals playing a new and off purpose game of acquiring real estate, which we cannot afford and cannot justify based on statistics.  Our Church had morphed into something that was both unfamiliar and unwelcoming.

At elaborate International events we would hear about the “demand” for C of S services as a justification for the off-policy fundraising for “Ideal Orgs”.  Fundraising done with full disregard of the very clear  LRH policy against it.  We looked at our own local org and saw no such demand.  We did see endless demands for time and money, overwhelmed staff, and a growing ARC broken field.

We did see tables put in front of doors to stop parishioners from leaving after a Maiden Voyage event turned into a fundraiser.  We did see upstat Scientologist physically stopped from leaving a recruitment cycle, and threatened with ethics actions if they did not stay, by a Sea Org member.  Further being told they wouldn’t be allowed to leave unless they signed the contract.

We did see attempts to break up families.  A recruitment cycle where the husband was encouraged to divorce his physically ill wife because she was “out-exchange” and “not contributing” so that he could then be on staff.   This same “out-exchange” wife made it onto Solo Nots before her health failed, and spent over 30 years of her life contributing to Scientology.  Many times at the detriment of her health.

We have recently seen attempts to break up our own family.  Local staff sent a package of “data” regarding our family to Flag in an attempt to third party us to our daughter, who was training there.  This was done with the intention to stop her from coming home for Christmas.  When that failed an attempt was made by a local  HCO terminal to encourage our teenage daughter to abandon her family and move in with her.  All of this because we as Scientologist chose to stop violating our personal integrity and instead be there and communicate.

We asked ourselves how could intelligent and well intentioned Scientologist be forwarding lines which are clearly not based on LRH policy.  The Church is out exchange and doing harm to the very people LRH intended to help. Scientology Churches are no longer operating on the basis that their products are thoroughly audited Pcs and well trained students.  We continued to look and found example after example of the power of the Church being used to intimidate those who would dissent and stifle free communication amongst Scientologists.

While there are many more examples of the off-purpose direction our Church has taken, our intention here is not to lay out a detailed indictment of the C of S.  Suffice it to say that we arrived at our decision honestly and not in a moment of caprice.  What is true for us is as follows:

1.  David Miscavage and his following of sycophants are the most dangerous squirrel group on the planet.

2.  KSW is being ignored while standard LRH Ethics, Tech and Admin are being altered to the detriment of the Church and its parishioners.

3.  As Scientologists trying to live by the Code of Honor we can no longer in good conscience be associated with a group, which is using the immense power that is the Church of Scientology to hide their crimes while betraying the trust of its members.

4.  We as Scientologist assign the condition of Treason to David Miscavage, RTC and all who continue to follow his illegal orders.

5.  We hereby declare our Independence as Scientologists who cherish personal integrity, and have the courage to observe what we have observed in the face of attacks from a rogue Church.

6.  Let it be known here and now that we are proud to stand in the presence of those who went before us and paid a far higher price in order to stand up for LRH.
