re: Yours of September 11, 2009

Dear Monique,

Thank you for your letter of September 11, 2009. Thank you also
for confirming:

1. That you, indeed, are the personal attorney of David Miscavige.

2. That your April 15 2009 trip to Denver, accompanied by four
staff members and another attorney, to attempt to intimidate Mike
Rinder into silence was directed by your client David Miscavige.

3. That you are an avid reader of my blog and Dave is apparently
paying attention.

4. That you and your client apparently believe that the only
utterance by me on my blog that you have any objection to is the
one you have noted in your letter.

With respect to your objection that I ascribed “false words” to
you and Mike Rinder, I never ascribed any words – either false or
otherwise – to either of you in my September 9 comment. If I
ascribe words to you, you’ll know it by the quotation marks I put
on either side of them.

With respect to your claim that I “ascribe[d] conduct to [you]
that [I] know to be false”, my two sentence description of what
went down in Denver on April 15 was indeed a fair and accurate
summation of what occured. Your repeated requests to “settle” in
an effort to prevent Mike from speaking to the media, and your
intimidations that to do otherwise would mean “war” cannot be
denied. I doubt that anyone other than your client would disagree
with my summation were they to hear the full content of the
conversations.

Monique, as far as your allegation about my “position in the
anti-Scientology community” is concerned, the sad truth is you
are being paid several hundred dollars per hour to carry out the
dictates of your client and thereby forward the aims of anti-
Scientologists. His heavy-handed tactics provide them with
ammunition to justify their misguided broadside assaults on the
subject founded by L. Ron Hubbard.

Sincerely,

Mark “Marty” Rathbun

911 – Hiro’s unsung Heroes

10:30pm Sept 11, 2009

In the midst of the activities of today, I have given many a thought and moments of reflection on the attacks that occurred on our country and our people in 2001, September 11th.

On one hand I feel shaken and awakened at the idea that our country was attacked, recently, and in broad daylight.

In reflection — from the videos, news reports, articles, pictures and first-hand accounts I received on the 9/11 attacks — I cannot , to this day, express how saddened I am for those who lost a love one, a friend, an associate, a boss, a junior, a neighbor, a teacher, a fireman, a policeman, a son, a daughter, a store owner, a pet, an office, a home, a church, a park, a school.

I know that on that day when the attacks occurred, my husband Hiro Kimoto was on the top of the New York Org Scientology building doing renovation work, repairing bricks. He had the radio on and heard that a plane had crashed into one of the Twin Towers. He looked up and saw the smoke rising in the sky behind the Time Square sky scrapers. He was with several others of the New York renovations team. They immediately got on the walkie-talkie to alert their superiors in the CLO … and while on the radio the second plane hit.

Hiro and the others realized at that exact point that they were at war.

They determined their priority was to get to the site of the damage and do whatever they could to help.

The CLO responded by organizing volunteers to get to the hospitals to assist the wounded. But when they found that volunteers were not needed, they concentrated on distributing the Way to Happiness brochures as their priority.

Despite orders to do that, Hiro and his friend Chris recruited about 10 people and jumped in a van and got to the location of the attack — later designated as Ground Zero. They first went to local restaurants and got them to donate food – any food they could give. And the restaurants did, with no questions asked — any place they stopped they gave them everything they could. Hiro and Chris packed their van to the gills with food and somehow made it through the first ten barricades. They then convinced the police at the later barricades that they were delivering food to those firemen and policemen who were at the site saving people. They eventually found a high school just a block or two from Ground Zero. They immediately set up a table and put out all the food they brought in. The exhausted and wasted policeman and fireman wandered in as this was the closest, safest place for them to come and eat and regroup. Hiro at that point realized this hat of feeding and energizing those people who are finding and saving lives needed to be worn, so he was now in charge of providing food and water to those who were saving lives. Shortly after, the emergency personnel started showing up to eat, Hiro also quickly realized he didn’t bring enough food…and by far. So he ran into the high school refrigerators finding there was food there, got together with the Red Cross In Charge and got her to get her volunteers to help gather this food and set up more tables and put out all the food they could find.

He recalls there were people in charge of feeding the police, but he found the police were coming to him as he had commandeered a safe space and had it all out and organized and it was large enough to service many people – so this was now the place they came to eat and drink water. Due to the state of things, nobody drank or ate anything the first many hours after the attack occurred.

Everyone was flat-out trying to dig through the rubble and save people. But eventually their energy would drain, they would be tired and dehydrated and realize they needed more energy to save more lives.

It was the first morning after the attacks, when Hiro and his team were rapidly distributing water to anyone and everyone that they started to realize that the air they were breathing was bad.

After Hiro and team established the food station, he realized they needed other basic supplies — such as water, ice, shovels, gloves, masks and rain gear. Water was needed most. He got the word out and got the volunteers he’d recruited activated to search for and get these items brought to him. He was stationed inside the high school as the coordinator to get more food brought in from NY, NJ and as the trucks filled with supplies arrived, they reported to Hiro who organized another crew responsible for unloading these trucks.

By the second day toiletries were needed – soap, tooth brushes, tooth paste etc. So he had these brought in. Then linens, beds and towels so the emergency personnel had a place to rest and clean-up.

By the third day the trucks were coming in from farther and farther places. Even trucks of dog food arrived and Hiro and his team unloaded, organized and made it known that these supplies were there for those who needed it.

It was a race for the authorities to find the living in the 4-story high rubble. He recalls that at the end of the first night, a bunch of fireman arrived at the high school and they were all upset and in tears because they had just lost a bunch of firefighters in their team as a part of the building had crashed down on them when they were trying to save people. Hiro never saw this reported in the press. He said people trapped in the rubble were calling on out on their cell phones hoping to be located before their batteries ran out.

Drinks, juice, energy bars, T-Shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets, rubber boots etc all donated from department stores and the lot came pouring in – so Hiro set up another room with everything hanging so the emergency personnel could come in and take whatever they needed.

There was one incident wherein there were emergency nurses who needed help bringing items to the innards of Ground Zero, so Hiro and his crew would assist the Nurses by loaded up their medical items in wheelbarrows and carry them into the site for them. He recalls that one nurse he personally helped ended up passing out later that night due to the bad air and physical exertion.

Note that Hiro and the people who went with him to Ground Zero never got “official approval” from the Church to go there. He said it was always at the back of his mind whether they were going to be considered “blown” or not. But due to their level of responsibility they each realized that handingout brochures at the hospital was not the right thing to do. It wasn’t the right place to be. Ground Zero was.

The next day –everything was closed off and no one could come into the high school. Everyone who was in, was in. So later on, when Hiro saw the CLO EUS PR waving at him behind the barricade trying to get in, Hiro spoke to the guard and convinced him to allow her in. And thus Scientology was allowed in to Ground Zero, along with the Red Cross and Salvation Amy and other volunteers.

After Hiro got the CLO EUS PR and others to able to come to Ground Zero other Scientology volunteers arrived and helped with the efforts he was doing as well as gave needed assists to those who needed it. The Scientology PR then met with the Mayor of NYC and Hiro was proud to be part of this and be able to help and get his Church on the front lines and helping.

Hiro continued to receive all the food supplies at the high school, organize it and set up stations. He then set up other stations closer to the site so the people digging out the debris could have water while doing so.

He did this because he realized his efforts in this way would be more effective than personally digging the people out. He realized it was the police, firemen, National Guard and other volunteers who needed to be taken care of so they could do their jobs.

Hiro and team were there at the most gruesome and difficult time. Before the dust settled. Three days later, the actual damage could be viewed. They worked hard and diligently and created Scientology Org presence at Ground Zero.

Yet in the end, when it came to acknowledge our heroes within the Church who showed up, took action and took charge, our church didn’t do so. CLO EUS PR submitted to Int the exact list of names of who took action on 9/11, but as it turns out DM didn’t have the guts to acknowledge our real heroes and instead deleted their names from the silver plaque that was awarded to the CLO, from COB, for the actions taken at Ground Zero.

During the presentation, the people who were previously from Int and had taken action at Ground Zero (and whose names had been deleted) looked at each other and realized that they were in a never-ending condition that they were never going to be allowed out of — a condition of “a menace and who needed to keep a low profile” as Hiro stated.

This is a true story that needed to be told. It is just the essence of the type of injustice, evilness (and fear) that DM and his minions exude and perpetrate.

None of which has any similarity to LRH policy and technology.

In standard Scientology, there are real condition formulas that anyone can apply easily and to great wins and results. There is never a condition that cannot be applied or gotten out of. There is never a good deed that is gone unacknowledged.

I could go on, and on, and on.

All I can say is that LRH is Source.

Anyone else who attempts to exude he/she is Source is a Squirrel and is anti-LRH and Anti-Scientology.

Even though I am declared, I have the ability to tell right from wrong,

the ability to recognize and acknowledge Source,

The freedom to think for myself and make my own decisions…and to communicate truth.

Host Note:   Shannon is a former Inspector General RTC Communicator. I had five competent Communicators assigned to me from 1982 through 2004. Shannon was by far the best. She was taken out and RPF’d by DM’s Asst. and wife because Shannon reported to me on RTC squirreling in Qual Gold while I was gone for more than a year in Clearwater on the McPherson case. I sincerely apologize for not taking a stand for you at the time Shannon. At least we’re both standing now – along with a lot of others. My hat is off to Hiro and his crew. They were a sub-group of approximately ten Int staff who were swept up in the 2000 purges wherein DM demanded scores of people he did not like, or did not sufficiently kow tow to him, were deported to far-flung Sea Org outposts forever labelled to be on low posts. More on them in a follow up post later this week as I recollect some of the more disheartening travesties of justice that were visited upon them.

Dear Marty:

I have read your internet posting of September 9, 2009 to Robin Scott in which you ascribe words and conduct to me you know are false.  You are lying. Not only do you ascribe false words to me, you also ascribe false words to Mike Rinder. This conversation never took place and you know it. The fact that you would knowingly lie about a conversation Bill Walsh and I were both party to only strengthens our conviction that you are lying about all of your other allegations. You need to correct the record and retract this and all your other false statements. You have made it abundantly clear in your recent posting that your allegations are all about you and your position in the anti-Scientology community and having nothing to do with the truth.

Sincerely,

Superpower Rip Off

I just read an interesting post on the Leaving Scientology blog, at http://leavingscientology.wordpress.com/

More than $142,760,000 dollars has been raised for the Superpower building. One public recently learned that one reason the Church keeps crush reging for Superpower – even though an official Church spokesperson told the media recently it would cost no more than $90,000,000 grand total in costs to complete – is that Superpower donations have been siphoned off for projects other than Superpower.  The Church spokesman
also said that $40,000,000 has been spent so far on the empty shell.

You ever wonder why the Church has let that $40,000,000 building shell languish for close to ten years? There are at least four reasons.

First, they don’t have a clue what Superpower is. See Joe Howard’s piece for details at http://www.scientology-cult.com/super-power.html

Second, it is one more excuse to crush reg huge sums of money that one of their Reges has already admitted is used for other purposes.

Third, there is no OT IX and X on the horizon. And DM needs some carrot to keep the OT VIII’s on the reservation. He falsely leads them on as if Superpower is some next step on the Bridge for them. Future posts will detail how OT IX and X are not even over the horizon.

Fourth, the elaborate groundbreaking and immediate heavy construction activity to build the shell was not done for purposes of getting Superpower delivered in the first place. I participated in the planning of that 1998 groundbreaking event with Tom Devocht, Mike Rinder and DM. The groundbreaking show – with bleachers brought in and packed with Scientologists, fireworks, and other bells and whistles- was put on within a couple short weeks after the Church was indicted for its involvement in the death of Lisa McPherson. It was ordered by DM at great expense for the sole purpose of diverting the public’s, the media’s and the Tampa Bay area population’s attention off of McPherson.

Once the last civil case connected with McPherson was settled in early 2004, the Church really put the brakes on the building, racking up nearly $250,000 in building department fines for not completing the building in a timely fashion.

But the reg machine never slowed down one iota. Already, it has created a $50,000,000 slush fund of DM funny money.

Consider Thomas Paine – my two cents

I am working on an ethics paradigm right now – while continuing to deliver tech. I’m sort of following my man Malcolm’s lead: “The greatest mistake of the movement has been trying to organize a sleeping people around specific goals. You have to wake the people up first, then you’ll get action.”  When asked by the Village Voice, “Wake them up to their exploitation?”, he clarified, “No, to their humanity, to their own worth, and to their heritage.”  He later added, “We have got to get over the brainwashing we had.”

I am agnostic at the moment as to whether there is even a need to worry about organization or governance in the future. It seems a lot of bright minds think differently.  While I won’t be participating in that debate, I do have two cents to offer to those  engaging.

The First non-plantation-owning President of the United States, John Adams, said: “Without Thomas Paine, there is no American Revolution.”

The President who abolished slavery and united a hopelessly divided nation, Abraham Lincoln, said: “I never tire of reading old Tom Paine.”

If America had not been created, and liberated through the Second revolution of the mid 1800s, would Scientology have ever been discovered?

I think it makes sense for all those engaged in considering concepts of organization or governance to do some study of the real architect of many of the freedoms we enjoy today.

In particular I highly recommend, The Age of Reason, Common Sense, and The Rights of Man – all by Thomas Paine. Here is a Paine quote  to whet your intellectual appetites:

To understand the nature and quantity of government proper for man, it is necessary to attend to his character. As Nature created him for social life, she fitted him for the station she intended. In all cases she made his natural wants greater than his individual powers. No one man is capable, without the aid of society, of supplying his own wants; and those wants, acting upon every individual, impel the whole of them into society, as naturally as gravitation acts to a centre.

“But she has gone further. She has not only forced man into society by a diversity of wants which the reciprocal aid of each other can supply, but she has implanted in him a system of social affections, which, though not necessary to his existence, are essential to his happiness. There is no period in life when this love for society ceases to act. It begins and ends with our being.

“If we examine with attention into the composition and constitution of man, the diversity of his wants, and the diversity of talents in different men for reciprocally accommodating the wants of each other, his propensity to society, and consequently to preserve the advantages resulting from it, we shall easily discover, that a great part of what is called government is mere imposition.

“Government is no farther necessary than to supply the few cases to which society and civilization are not conveniently competent; and instances are not wanting to show, that everything which government can usefully add thereto, has been performed by the common consent of society, without government.

“For upwards of two years from the commencement of the American War, and to a longer period in several of the American States, there were no established forms of government. The old governments had been abolished, and the country was too much occupied in defence to employ its attention in establishing new governments; yet during this interval order and harmony were preserved as inviolate as in any country in Europe. There is a natural aptness in man, and more so in society, because it embraces a greater variety of abilities and resource, to accomodate itself to whatever situation it is in. The instant formal government is abolished, society begins to act: a general association takes place, and common interest produces common security.

“So far is it from being true, as has been pretended, that the abolition of any formal government is the dissolution of society, that it acts by a contrary impulse, and brings the latter closer together.  All that part of its organisation which it had committed to its government, devolves again upon itself, and acts through its medium. When men, as well from natural instinct as from reciprocal benefits, have habituated themselves to social and civilised life, there is always enough of its principles in practice to carry through any changes they find necessary or convenient to make in their government. In short, man is so naturally a creature of society that it is almost impossible to put him out of it.”

DM  played right into our hands with some very ill-advised haymakers in response to recent truths being shared. One was in the form of 250 pages of declarations sworn by twenty-five inmates of the Hole. They are designed to annihilate the credibility of me, Mike, Tom and Amy.  DM took the false rumors about me wanting to take over his little Jonestown so seriously that he had his minions go way overboard in electing him source in their sworn declarations.  Just as we predicted, he has now locked himself into some untenable positions, and more importantly, has left himself defenseless against what is coming a little ways down the road.

In any event, some of the statements in the declarations are so fawning, they are not only cultic and creepy, they indicate 1984 is upon them in full force.

From Marc Yager, identified as CO CMO INT and WDC Chairman:

“Statements made about our religious leader are inseparable to the religion itself and this is an attempt to attack and ridicule the Scientology religion, the ecclesiastical team that is dedicated to implementing our Founder’s scriptures, the millions of Scientologists that live both in the United States and abroad and the thousands of dedicated staff that have volunteered service to help humanity.”

From Russ Bellin, identified as Int Reserves Dir in CSI (he does not explain how DM busted him from CO and Director of the same Church of Spiritual Technology that DM has attested to the IRS is senior to himself as COB RTC):

“Marty Rathbun is openly attacking the leader of our religion, the very principles of Scientology and our Founder.”

Mark Ingber, identified as a WDC member:

“It is with considerable asperity that I look upon the handful of ex-Scientologists who are yapping vile lies to the media about Mr. Miscavige. That is not an attack just on Mr. Miscavige. It is an attack on L. Ron Hubbard and the Scientology religion.”

Sue Wilhere, identified as CSI’s AVC Aide:

“Mr. Miscavige is Scientology. He is the emissary of L. Ron Hubbard. Their attack on Mr. Miscavige is a direct attack on L. Ron Hubbard and on Scientology – they are not separable.”

Again, Orwell explains:

“Orthodoxy in the full sense demands a control over one’s own mental processes as complete as that of a contortionist  over his body. Oceanic society rests ultimately on the belief that Big Brother is omnipotent and that the Party is infallible. But since in reality Big Brother is not omnipotent and the Party is not infallible, there is need for an unwearying, moment-to-moment flexibility in the treatment of facts. The key word here is blackwhite. Like so many Newspeak words, this word has two mutually contradictory meanings. Applied to an opponent, it means the habit of impudently claiming that black is white, in contradiction to the plain facts. Applied to a Party member, it means a loyal willingness to say that black is white when Party discipline demands this. But it means also the ability to believe that black is white, and more, to know that black  is white, and to forget that one has ever believed the contrary. This demands a continuous alteration of the past, made possible by the system of thought which really embraces all the rest, and which is known in Newspeak as doublethink.

1984: The Severe Reality Adjustment

(ref: earlier post: Reverse (Black) Dianetics – Scientology’s 1984)

Miscavige takes a great deal of pride in having created what has become an accepted term of Scientology nomenclature behind the Wall.  It is called the SRA, or Severe Reality Adjustment. An SRA entails getting into a person’s face, screaming a reality at the top of one’s lungs with such force that the recipient goes into overwhelm and accepts the enforced reality. Should the recipient show the slightest disagreement or even puzzlement over the reality being imparted, it is expected that the SRAer use physical force to finish the job. Quite similar to the many lectures wherein LRH describes implant technology.

Miscavige recently promised to “annihilate” the credibility of folks imparting truths about Miscavige’s history that are apparently unpalatable to Miscavige.

The above facts are quite interesting in the light of the following passage from George Orwell’s 1984:

“If the Party could thrust its hand into the past and say of this or that event, it never happened — that, surely, was more terrifying than mere torture and death.

“The Party said that Oceania had never been in alliance with Eurasia. He, Winston Smith, knew that Oceania had been in alliance with Eurasia as short a time as four years ago. But where did that knowledge exist?  Only in his own consciousness, which in any case must soon be annihilated. And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed — if all records told the same tale — then the lie passed into history and became truth. ‘Who controls the past,’ ran the Party slogan, ‘controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.’ And yet the past, though of its nature alterable, never had been altered. Whatever was true now was true from everlasting to everlasting. It was quite simple. All that was needed was an unending series of victories over your own memory. ‘Reality control,’ they called it; in Newspeak, ‘doublethink.’

“‘Stand easy!’ barked the instructress, a little more genially.Winston sank his arms to his sides and slowly refilled his lungs with air. His mind slid away into the labyrinthine world of doublethink.  To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which canceled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget, whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again, and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself — that was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed. Even to understand the word ‘doublethink’ involved the use of doublethink.”

Wake up!

Some thoughts to reflect upon on Sunday

“…And there is, deep down within all of us, an instinct. It’s a kind of drum major instinct – a desire to be out front, a desire to lead the parade, a desire to be first. And it is something that runs the whole gamut of life…

“…And the great issue of life is to harness the drum major instinct. Now the other problem is when you don’t harness the drum major instinct, this uncontrolled aspect of it, is that it leads to snobbish exclusivism. Now you know, this is the danger  of social clubs, and fraternities. I’m in a fraternity; I’m in two or three. For sororities, and all of these, I’m not talking against them, I’m saying it’s the danger. The danger is that they can become forces of classism and exclusivism where somehow you get a degree of satisfaction because you are in something exclusive, and that’s fulfilling something, you know. And I’m in this fraternity, and it’s the best fraternity in the world and everybody can’t get in this fraternity. So it ends up, you know, a very exclusive kind of thing.

“And you know, that can happen with the church. I’ve known churches get in that bind sometimes. I’ve been to churches you know, and they say ‘we have so many doctors and so many school teachers, and so many lawyers, and so many businessmen in our church.’ And that’s fine, because doctors need to go to church, and lawyers, and businessmen, teachers — they ought to be in church. But they say that, even the preacher will go on through it, they say that as if the other people don’t count. And the church is the one place where a doctor ought to forget that he’s a doctor. The church is the one place where a Ph.D. ought forget that he’s a doctor. The church is the one place that a schoolteacher ought to forget the degree she has behind her name. The church is the one place where the lawyer ought to forget that he’s a lawyer. And any church that violates the ‘whosoever will, let him come’ doctrine is a dead, cold church, and nothing but a little social club with a thin veneer of religiosity…

“…And so Jesus gave us a new norm of greatness. If you want to be important –wonderful. If you want to be recognized — wonderful. If you want to be great — wonderful. But recognize that he who is greatest amongst you shall be your servant. That’s your new definition of greatness. And this morning, the thing that I like about it – by giving that definition of greatness, it means that everybody can be great. Because everybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don’t have to know Einstein’s theory of relativity to serve. You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. And you can be that servant…”

Reverse (Black) Dianetics – Scientology’s 1984

For those who have not watched it, please view the Reverse (Black) Dianetics segment of the filmed interview of me on the St Pete Times webpage:

http://www.tampabay.com/specials/2009/reports/project/rathbun.shtml

I detailed how Miscavige practices Reverse Dianetics day in and day out at International Management headquarters; and how Miscavige avoided meeting with me to discuss the ceasing of that practice.

Now, read this quote from Miscavige’s recent 80-page Freedom magazine created to respond to the St Pete Times Truth Rundown series:

“He [Miscavige] personally verified all books and lectures, their contents and their sequence so Scientologists can now study their religion in pure form and chronologically.  This project alone represented thousands of hours of Mr. Miscavige’s time in ensuring every word conformed precisely with Mr. Hubbard’s original works by reading and re-reading each manuscript and final book as well as listening to all 2,500 of Mr. Hubbard’s lectures. ”

Please keep this passage in mind as you continue to read.  Chris Collbran – a  freedom fighting brother –  provided me with some research he conducted, demonstrating a very curious edit performed on a Philadelphia Doctorate Course lecture.

The following text is an accurate reproduction of the transcript issued with DM’s re-release of the Philadelphia Doctorate Course lecture of 6 December 1952 Formative State of Scientology, Definition of Logic. The words in bold face appeared in the cassette tape version of the very same lecture available in every Church of Scientology for many years prior to DM’s new edited release (copyrighted 1982). If you have a set of the newly issued DM-edited PDC on CD, you can listen to it for yourself – the bold faced words below have been deleted. If you have the same previously available PDC lecture on cassette you can listen to it too, and the bold face words, lo and behold, are audible.

“You’ll find almost any preclear can be given Creative Processing. And you could get ahold of him and flip the PDH out. That’s interesting, isn’t it?  In other words, you can take them out as fast they lay them down.

“Therefore, we really do have the remedy before the assault weapon is produced. Did you ever read poor old George Orwell’s 1984? Yes, yes, that’s wonderful. That would be — could be the palest imagined shadow of what a world would be like under the rule of the secret use of Scientology with no remedy in existence.

“It’s a very simple remedy. And that’s just make sure that the remedy is passed along. That’s all. Don’t hoard it and don’t hold it; and if you ever do use any Black Dianetics, use it on the guy who pulled Scientology out of sight and made it so it wasn’t available. Because he’s the boy who would be electing himself “The New Order.” And we don’t need any more new orders. All those orders, as far as I am concerned, have been filled.”

That is correct, all of the words in bold faced type above have been removed from the CD released lecture and accompanying transcript. And yes, all those words appear in the same lecture previously available on cassette tape and they also appear in the tape’s accompanying transcript (copyright 1982).

I leave it to the reader to come to your own conclusion as to why Miscavige might  edit LRH in that fashion.

Ghost in the house

Check it:

“So, I feel responsible for having played a major role in developing a criminal organization. It was not a criminal organization at the outstart. It was an organization that had the power, the spiritual power, to reform the criminal. And this is what you have to understand. As long as that strong spiritual power was in the movement, it gave the moral strength to the believer that would enable him to rise above all his negative tendencies. I know, because I went into the movement with more negative tendencies than anybody in the movement. And just faith in what I was taught made it possible for me to stop doing anything that I was doing and everything that I was doing. And I saw thousands of brothers and sisters come in who were in the same condition. And then whatever they were doing, they would stop it overnight, just through faith and faith alone. And by this spiritual force, giving one the faith that enabled one to exercise some moral discipline, it became an organization that was to be respected as well as feared.

“But as soon as the faith in the movement, the faith in the minds of the people in the movement was destroyed, now it has become a movement that’s organized but not on a spiritual basis. And because there is no spiritual ingredient within the organization, there’s no moral discipline. For it now consists of brothers and sisters who were once well meaning, but now who do not have the strength to discipline themselves. So they permit themselves to be used as a machine for a man who, as I say, has gone senile and is using them now to commit murder, acts of maiming and crippling other people.

“I know there’s a brother sitting in here right now, tonight, who was beaten by them a couple of years ago — I’m not going to say. He knows. And if anybody should apologize to him, I should apologize to him. And I do apologize to him. Because he was beaten by the movement when I was in the movement, and I wasn’t too far from him when he got beaten.
“But this is what happens and this is what we have to contend with.  I, for one, disassociate myself from the movement completely. ”
