Latest Corporate Scientology Felonies

UPDATE: Village Voice coverage,

http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/04/scientology_cri.php

David Miscavige and his plumbers unit have been busy this week.

Miscavige had his boys obtain Mosey’s social security number.

Yesterday while I was in session repairing Miscavige’s Black Dianetics on a woman whom Miscavige is actively attempting to shudder into silence Miscavige’s agents used Mosey’s social security number to access our phone account.   The agent obtained access and downloaded our phone records.

Don’t mistake this announcement for any cause for worry.

I am simply making a record, loud and clear and in real time.

Whether authorities act or not doesn’t make much difference to me.   I never held up hope that any money motivated spectators would have the balls to go up against the “war chest.”

If anyone thinks any of this is having an adverse effect on me, stay tuned. May is going to make April look like a seashells and balloons picnic.

And, yes we’ll be expanding on the delivery of repair of his Black Dianetics all the while.  You’ll hear more about that in the next couple days. Our philosophy is simple.   It is quite well summed up in these words:

When I’m on stage, I’m trying to do one thing: bring people joy. Just like church does. People don’t go to church to find trouble, they go there to lose it.

De-Ding: Here Comes The Wagon

Ok, so here is how the King of Squirrels has come full circle by becoming what he so forcefully resists and resisting what he so forcefully becomes.

The walking GPM.

KoS holds court with admirers

I am going to start by repeating an excerpt from an essay I posted on November 2, 2010:

Miscavige used such an abuse as part of his own push toward power in the early eighties.  A couple of Mission Holders, most notably one Kingsley Wimbush, used Responsibilities of Leaders as an integral part of a process called “De-dinging.”   Wimbush would gather staff and public at the end of the evening in the course room of his mission. He would have them read The Responsibilities of Leaders.  He would then insist that properly interpretted the policy required all of those who depended upon his “power” (all staff and public) to flow “power” to Wimbush.   He told them that the power flow he desired was money, and he’d pressure the staff and public to fill his hat with bills, the larger the denominations the better.

With this information Miscavige grotesquely violated this provision of The Responsibilities of Leaders: So to live at all in the shadow or employ of a power, you must yourself gather and USE enough power to hold your own – without just nattering to the power to “kill Pete”, in straightforward or more suppressive veiled ways to him, as these wreck the power that supports yours.

Miscavige did so by writing the most exaggerated, alarming and vicious reports about Mission Holders.  In fact, he used the Wimbush abuse of The Responsibilities of Leaders to unjustly paint dozens of Mission Holders with the same color.  His reports were so “Kill Pete” in nature that he led LRH to believe the Mission Holders were in fact government operatives out to kill LRH.

Ironically, or perhaps predictably, once Miscavige rose to power through such shifts, he eschewed virtually all LRH policy, but for one: The Reponsibilities of Leaders.  Apparently, Miscavige recognized how one (Wimbush for example) could get people to do the most irrational and off policy things by fixating their attention on this one policy.

from https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2010/11/02/worse-than-fair-game/

Now, here is what David Miscavige had to say about Wimbush and his de-dinging “tech” during this terrordome “briefing” to Mission Holders on 17 October, 1982 – while full-stride, headlong into his push for power:

“Earlier this evening both Kingsley Wimbush and Dean Stokes were here. They have both now been declared and we are pursuing criminal charges against them. They have been delivering their own squirrel tech while calling it Scientology. Kingsley Wimbush’s ‘dinging process’ is complete squirrel. You won’t find it in any tech, yet he has been calling it Scientology. That’s a violation of trademark laws and he now faces some serious charges for this crime. This sort of activity is NOT going to go on any more.”  – David Miscavige 17 October, 1982

Now, do you remember this bozo from last Monday on this blog, the Village Voice, The London Daily Mail, and Gawker?:

OT “VIII”, OT Ambassador John Allender.   A man so bereft of intelligence he travelled across state lines 1,500 miles in order to continue to stalk and threaten Lori Hodgson at my home in Texas, the same woman he was already under investigation by the San Jose Police Department for stalking and threatening.

What might motivate such a bonehead move?  Perhaps a Simon Bolivar wanna be with a Napoleon complex?

Hold your hats.

In 1982 when Kingsley Wimbush and his brother Bernie and their pal Clay Primrose were literally holding public Scientologists prisoner in the Course Room at Stevens Creek Mission, the public were so terrified very few raised a peep in protest.

But, there were a few exceptions.  One was  a young woman named Lori Hodgson.  Lori wrote up to management that the D of T (Director of Training) at Steven’s Creek was literally imprisoning public and passing around a hat at the end of each course period collecting cash for the executives of the org.

That D of T’s name?

You got it.  John Allender.

You’ve heard of the Ideal Org.

Now, meet the Ideal OTA:

What Miscavige is Trying to Stop

You may have seen that I informed “OT VIII” OTA John Allender, his three companions, and their boss David Miscavige by extension, that they were interrupting the delivery of Scientology services at Casablanca. Allender annoucned that they would be here “for weeks and weeks” and his Sonny Barger wanna be sidekick, added “for as long as it takes.”  Based on information from excellent sources, the “it” is very clear. Miscavige has ordered me closed down by any means necessary. Even if that does inestimable damage to the image of Scientology in the process.  Miscavige is reading the successes, he is seeing that his institutional implants are being remedied and exposed in short order here in a very safe environment. Therefore, he “reasons”, make the environment unsafe.

Just so people are not confused about the intentions and PRODUCT of David Miscavige, let’s see an example of what it is that he is investing millions in trying to STOP.

April 6, 2011

What I’m about to write may not seem like such a big deal. And the truth is that it may only be a big deal to me. After all, it’s about my life and my freedom.

I’m clear.

I am clear. Simple statement. I am clear.

But one week ago, I could not say or write those words. One week ago I thought I had a difficult case that might never be resolved. You see, I attested to clear at Flag in 1979 and again in Washington, DC after a DCSI in 1981. After that, I was repeatedly sent to the bottom of the Bridge to fill in what I had missed, until 2001, after 11 weeks on a CCRD at Flag, when I was told I was not clear. Once again, it was back to the bottom of the Bridge, after a few sessions of Dianetics to “prove that I can run Dianetics.”

That day, I was made small and I was told that my own knowingness, my own perceptions, were just not true. One week ago, I was confused about my case and about myself. But what’s worse is that I started wondering if I could know anything and I started wondering if the tech could work for me. One week ago, I made long explanations and excuses about where I was on the Bridge. One week ago, I thought I needed strange and complicated tricks and props to get into and out of session.

That was one week ago.

Then, last weekend, I went to Casablanca, where Marty Rathbun gave me back what the church took from me.

I am clear. I have been for a long time.

I’ll write it again in case anyone missed it. I was clear. The church took that from me and drove me into confusion. Marty Rathbun, probably the most on-source and effective auditor I have ever met, gave it back to me.

Everything about my trip to Casablanca aligned to provide one remarkable experience. To say that Mosey is an exceptional hostess who creates a safe and caring environment is to give her half the credit she deserves. She was that and much more.

To say that Marty has Act One in, is a weak understatement. With the standard tech that LRH gave us, and superior auditing skills, Marty audits as I imagine LRH audited. He didn’t audit the meter, or a folder or a piece of paper, or even my body; he audited the being that is me. I truly understood for the first time how the auditor and the PC work together.

And if David Miscavige, or any other SP for that matter, has trouble sleeping at night, it is because he knows that Mosey and Marty Rathbun are freeing people. He knows that Marty is undoing the church’s carefully constructed suppression. He knows that Marty is something David could never be: a great auditor. And what did LRH say about auditors? I think it had something to do with them being valuable, yes?

“There is a higher goal, a better goal, a more glorious victory than gutted towns and radiation-burned dead. There is freedom and happiness and plenty and a whole Universe to be won.” — L. Ron Hubbard, Dianetics The Modern Science of Mental Health

Thank you, Marty, Mosey, Chiquita and Cat.

Love,

Cindy

And I leave you with this, just because it feels right:

When Scientologists Attack – The Village Voice

After two days in the edit bay Miscavige had the OSA baby blue shock squad post a version of his take of the incident at my home on Monday.   I commented on the link to it someone posted on this blog, words to the effect that I would go to court with his version – but I’ll also get all the footage from all four of his cameras before trial.  Within minutes the “church” took their video edit down.  But not before some members of Anonymous mirrored it and spread it far and wide.

Editor in Chief of the Village Voice Tony Ortega reported on the entire affair today, http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/04/when_scientolog.php#comments

UPDATE: Since been picked up by the Dail Mail in London: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1379274/Scientologist-Squirrel-busters-stalk-church-defector.html

While I suggest you read the entire story at the the link provided, and yes, please see the church’s edited version of affairs while you are at it, here is Mr. Ortega’s take on the church’s edit (that they broadcast and tried to squeeze back into the tube too late):

Three observations…

1. The Scientologists preface their video with a scene of Rathbun jawboning with employees at the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida, a Scientology headquarters. The point here is to suggest that if Rathbun can show up and demand information at the doorstep of a major Scientology installation, then Scientology is in its rights to do the same to him. But that hardly explains why a church would send a goon squad to intimidate a former member at his home as a way to disrupt his private religious practices.

2. The video is consistent with what Rathbun had told me earlier. When Allender gives his name, you can see a look of recognition wash over Rathbun’s face. It dawns on him that Allender has traveled all the way from California to disrupt Rathbun’s auditing of Lori Hodgson, who had told him that Allender, while still in San Jose, had intimidated her about leaving Scientology. Enraged, Rathbun then pulls the microphone from Allender’s hand.

3. To me, the creepiest part of this video comes near the beginning, and is not seen or heard on Rathbun’s version. You hear Allender telling Rathbun that the reason the group is there is to check his equipment. It’s a taunt, meant to rattle Rathbun about the fact that he is not allowed by official Scientology rules to deliver Scientology auditing using Scientology equipment (an e-meter) outside of the purview of the “church.”

To understand how chilling that is, let me give you an analogy. Imagine that Rathbun had been a high-level member of a Baptist organization who has left over a doctrinal dispute. And say that individual Baptists who share his views also shun the organization and instead join him at his house to hold Bible study or prayer.

Can you imagine the spurned Baptist organization sending a goon squad of four camera-wielding men taunting Rathbun that he shouldn’t be holding Bible study without first making sure his “equipment” — his Bible, say — had been checked out and approved by the goons?

The mind boggles, doesn’t it?

Miscavige Shock Squad Hits Casablanca

We interrupt the ongoing exposure of David Miscavige as the greatest suppressor in Scientology history for this News Flash. David Miscavige has directly responded to the posts over the last two days, entitled and subtitled King of Squirrels respectively. Apparently, unsatisfied with ending standard tech delivery behind the walls of his “church”, he’s sending goons clear to Corpus Christi to stop it where he heard it is happening.

The assault by his Scientology (OT Ambassador “VIII” John Allender and friends) Shock Squad was captured on video tape, which can be watched below.

Just a bit of background and context is in order.

This morning I had just completed Lori Hodgson’s first two STANDARD sessions, which incidentally included cleaning up the trauma of having been stalked, assaulted and threatened by “OT VIII”, “OT Ambassador” John Allender.  That assault occured the day after she returned from her first trip to Casablanca in December. For the back story see, https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2010/12/15/lori-hodgson-is-back-in-the-saddle/

While on a lunch break, our quiet theta environment was interrupted by loud pounding at my front door.  When I opened the door, there was John Allender with three other Miscavige goons in full Miscavige squirrel regalia.  Check it for yourself – it is documented below.

After the Sheriff got done interviewing me and Allender and co separately, the Sheriff told me Miscavige’s boys wanted to make a deal.  If I did not bring CRIMINAL TRESPASSING, STALKING, AND CRIMINAL HARASSMENT charges, Allender and co would not bring “assault” and “criminal mischief” charges (the latter for having took the microphone Allender shoved in my face out of his hand and off its cord  – the former for a 250 pound guy who looks like Sonny Barger on a bender sticking his stomach into my path of progress in the doorway of my own home).

Apparently Miscavige just doesn’t get my repeated messages to him that I (and Mike Rinder, and others) just do not make deals with the devil.  I told the Sheriff I’d roll the dice.  Bring it.  Don’t worry about fees, I’m representing myself if the D/A decides to bring the counter-charges.

There will be a trial in the San Patricio County Courthouse, unless of course Allender and co plead no contest.  Should be interesting.

Deconstructing the Mayo Myth

Source of NOTs technology - L Ron Hubbard

When you create a huge, open tent a lot of wonderful things occur – many of which we have been sharing on a daily basis here.

With no admission fee, no pre-requisites, no qualifications, no screening – you also get your share of hucksters, clowns and pick-pockets.  I generally let people get along and encourage them to go along their own paths for the most part.  But when the crime rate starts to escalate it doesn’t hurt to warn people about certain dark alleys.

I wouldn’t even address this subject if it were not for the demand that I do address it by several OTs who have heard me tell the story of the origin of New Era Dianetics for OTs (NOTS) technology.  It seems that three decades of insistence by certain squirrels that David Mayo is Source of NOTs technology has had an effect in some quarters.  The Mayo myth has lead many a truth seeker down a rabbit hole of bizarre, albeit sometimes interesting, diversions. It has served several not-quite-bright folk (with king-size, self-importance buttons) a handy justification that has been used for decades to palm off all manner of alterations as LRH technology.

I realize some will launch the most vicious of attacks for my presenting the facts as I witnessed them.  No matter, this has never been a popularity contest.

I’ve got news:

1 – L Ron Hubbard discovered New Era Dianetics for O.T.s.

2 – L Ron Hubbard dictated the HCOBs for New Era Dianetics for O.T.s

3 – David Mayo did not discover New Era Dianetics for O.T.s.

4 – David Mayo did not write New Era Dianetics for O.T.s.

And for those wanting to practice standard tech outside of the suppression of the church, and for those lurking church of Scientology members I have good news: all of the NOTs HCOBs that have been readily available on the internet for the past fifteen years are FAR more on Source than anything foisted off as such in Miscavige’s church of Scientology.

OT VIIs and above, hear this about all those conditions formulas you did for out security, including the tens of thousands you might have been coerced into paying to get Ethics off your backs. Those conditions assignments were bogus and meaningless. In fact, they have been ruthlessly enforced by David Miscavige’s RTC for the past two decades for no other purposes than making money and controlling you and diverting attention from the fact that Miscavige, rather than being the savior of the sacred Bridge, in fact failed miserably in one of RTC’s few stated LRH purposes; to wit, protecting the security of the upper level materials of Scientology.

Here are the facts I witnessed that lead to the four conclusions at the outset of this post.

In the early eighties Robin Scott and some cohorts executed a rather clever scheme.  They dressed up as Sea Org missionaires and strutted into AOSHEU exuding airs of strategic cunning.  Scott announced they had been sent by Int Management to straighten out the org.  Having full run of the org, they walked out with all confidential Advanced Tech material from R6EW right on up through NOTS.

Shortly after, David Mayo began heavily promoting the delivery of NOTS at his Advanced Ability Center (AAC) in Santa Barbara, California, under the name Advanced Ability 5.  RTC sued Mayo and the AAC under the federal Racketering Influenced Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statute and the Trade Secret statute.

After a mini-trial (evidentiary hearing) a US Federal Judge enjoined Mayo, et al from using or distributing his AA5 material. During that hearing Mayo swore under oath that he had written the AA5 material from memory – without reference to the stolen Scott NOTs material.  The Judge made a specific finding that Mayo was not a credible witness – particularly in his claim that he had re-written the material from memory because he wrote it in the first place.

Having been found a liar, the man with the self-proclaimed eidetic memory changed his story.  He began stretching his claims to say in fact, not only did he write the materials, he discovered and developed them too.

Later the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the injunction on legal issues, not affecting the Federal Court Judge finding that Mayo was a calculating liar.  The suit was amended to include copyright claims and Mayo was enjoined again.

Somebody will likely provide a special master’s finding of fact that Mayo wrote NOTs as a work-made-for-hire for the church (an excerpt was posted by I think Cat Daddy on an earlier thread).   They won’t explain that the upshot of that later ruling – by an off the wagon alcoholic ex-judge sitting as special master – means simply that anything Mayo may have written in the name of L Ron Hubbard while in the chuch was legally written by LRH because Mayo was an employee of the church and working under L Ron Hubbard’s direction when he did so.

What the alcoholic master did not comment upon was irrefutable evidence that was placed before him that L Ron Hubbard discovered and effectively wrote every NOTs HCOB with Mayo’s assistance as a transcriptionist/compiler.  The master didn’t comment upon it as he never reviewed the evidence, hated the church of Scientology and was doing everything in his power to help Mayo – whom  he sympathized with. Now, whether Mayo was deserving of any sympathy is a matter of a decades old debate, irrelevant to the issue at hand.

The evidence the master refused to consider consisted of the original submission files for each and every original NOTs Series HCOB. Each HCOB had its own folder.  Each contained one or more CSWs (completed staff work forms) written by Mayo to LRH asking for authorization to issue each HCOB of the NOTs Series.  Each folder included each draft that was rejected enroute to full approval.  I know this because I helped compile the evidence for presentation. Michael J Rinder knows this too – because he too reviewed and compiled the same evidence with me in a number of subsequent legal cases involving the NOTs materials.

Each proposed HCOB was accompanied by tape transcripts highlighted and numbered in the margins to demonstrate where each of LRH’s spoken sentences was lifted in order to compile each line of each HCOB.  The package included the original audio tapes of LRH speaking the words that would become the HCOBs.

The audio tapes were recorded after sessions where Mayo audited LRH.  After each session LRH would tell Mayo to turn on the tape player, then he would dictate exactly what had happened in the session, plus commentary of what the technical whys and wherefores for the phenomena of the session were and instructions for compiling HCOBs on the subject.  Throughout hours upon hours of those audio tapes, Mayo can only rarely be heard with short, respectful acknowledgments.  Most of Mayo’s responses consisted of “Yes, Sir”, “Got it Sir”, “I understand Sir.”  Virtually every word of the HCOBs is taken from LRH’s transcribed spoken words.

Mayo’s job chiefly was to turn LRH’s spoken English descriptions into written English. And for those who have studied the original NOTs HCOBs I think you might agree Mayo didn’t even do such a great job of that. And now I am glad he did not.

Of course Mayo was LRH’s auditor during this period. And yes, LRH was ill and being audited by Mayo when LRH discovered NOTs. However, one thing is crystal clear when one reads the transcripts in sequence, which I did.  Mayo attempted to audit LRH on Dianetics and LRH got worse. Clearly LRH recognized that there was something else at play, described it and instructed his auditor (Mayo) on how to handle it.  Most of the transcripts consist of LRH explaining all that to Mayo and how NOTs works, how it ought to be audited, etc.

David Miscavige has made numerous alterations with “new improved” NOTs and Solo NOTs over the years.  The most on Source, unaltered HCOBs on NOTs are the original NOTs series, the ones that have been readily available on the internet for the past fifteen years.  I know that and Mike Rinder knows that because we ran litigation for more than twenty years that sought to prevent those very materials from being available in the public domain.  And we compiled the evidence from LRH’s archives – described above – in years-long attempts to keep the materials secret. Alas, we (me, Mike, Warren McShane, and David Miscavige who micromanaged every step of the way) failed.  And I could write a book detailing how Miscavige himself sabotaged even these efforts. He should be the last guy on the planet bemoaning NOTs materials in the public domain, and enforcing very expensive conditions assignments on pre-OTs who have committed alleged security breaches far less significant than his own.

I am not saying Mayo was not a good auditor or C/S.  And I am certainly not condemning him as a person – after all, irrespective of his motives, he did play a large role in breaking the monopoly.  I am saying he lied through his teeth when he said he discovered, developed and wrote NOTs.

Now, let the fur fly from both ends.  I’ll be amused. I am simply relaying facts I witnessed.  I am heading back to to my auditing room to audit some more pre-OTs, LRH style.

Human Rights – Miscavige’s Response

I am posting Miscavige’s immediate knee-jerk response to my post last night, Human Rights Cover Up.  This is being issued on all OSA Indy Ops Unit lines. I could write a five page analysis, but I am confident that  due to the intelligence level of the participants here its signficance requires no explanation.

Think we might have struck a nerve?

Think we might be missing some withholds?

Think we’ll let go of this one?

To steal a phrase from Ronald Reagan, “I wear their indictment like a badge of honor.”

Marty Rathbun’s Desperation

I have commented before how Marty uses the words of famous Martyrs to try and forward his campaign.  He thinks that by quoting the likes of Martin Luther King or Gandhi, people will think he is a great champion for Human Rights and a great Martyr himself.

In reality, all he does is besmirch those great men by using their names in his filthy campaign.

At best, Marty is like a critic working for some sensationalist rag.  Unable to act, sing, dance, write or in any other way legitimately provide a desirable service to society, he seeks credibility by demeaning the work of others.

None of the people he quotes would have ever associated with him.

All great Martyrs, and all great achievers in any zone, have had their own backstabbers around them, requiring them to become well acquainted with the cunning ways of those whose toothy smiles hid the fact that they had black hearts and sinister motives.

Just as Marty does not hesitate to demean the great Martyrs, so it seems he does not hesitate to besmirch the great human rights campaigners in his latest attack on Tom Cruise.

Marty uses Human Trafficking as his angle, and attempts to embarrass the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the many courageous men and women associated with it with his manufactured lies.

Human Trafficking is a serious crime.  Millions of children are abused annually, imprisoned and forced into slave labor.  Countless others are forced into lives of prostitution and domination.   This is a scourge of the 21st century that needs to be firmly dealt with and which will require the combined efforts of thousands of men and women of good will to overcome the vested interests that maintain the status quo.

Human trafficking is no joking matter.  This is no subject to use to try and score some points in an endeavor of enrichment.

What Human Trafficking is Marty Rathbun talking about?  He is talking about people who voluntarily joined a religious fraternity, pledging to do whatever was required of them in line with their duties, go to whatever location was required of them, and to uphold high ethics standards and discipline.  That a tiny handful now lie and claim they were somehow forced to work against their will does not equate with human trafficking or slave labor. And any hardship of having worked in a tough, dedicated group like the Sea Org, most definitely does not in any way compare at all with the horror that is actual human trafficking and the real distress, pain, and death associated with that activity.

Marty has already tried to get his human trafficking angle into play a few times.  The idea of using the concept was dreamed up by a shyster lawyer in a recent case that was summarily rejected by the court and dismissed with prejudice.

Despite Marty’s lengthy declaration in support of this claim, the Judge threw the case out on summary judgment.

Marty and his band of merry gold diggers had already gone to the FBI with all these same allegations and demanded that the FBI accept and act on their claims in an attempt to make the accusations stick and absolutely nothing came of this.  Marty knows this yet continues to mouth off, pretending there is something going on when there is nothing.  There is no FBI investigation. Repeat, there is no FBI investigation and Rathbun is once again lying to his gullible followers.

It is notable that the great champion of this cause of action is one Amy Scobee.  Amy is an apostate, who, having been relieved of her duty within the Church due to ineffectiveness, was then invited to leave permanently after repeatedly violating one of the oldest and most sacrosanct admonitions by LRH not getting drawn into a sexual relationship with a preclear. Not only did she engage in a sexual relationship with her preclear, they had sex when they were supposed to be auditing each other and trying redeem themselves for other malfeasance of duty.

Amy wrote and published a book about her experiences within the Church.   Not once within the text of that book did she complain about human trafficking.  Not once does she describe herself as being a slave.

Fortunately the FBI can differentiate between actual slavery and the histrionics of a gold digger.

Just one look at Amy tells one that she does not know what hunger or hard physical work actually mean.

Despite the fact that there is no investigation, Marty Rathbun has knowingly and repeatedly falsely announced that there is one.  I personally know that he knows that there is no investigation, because he has admitted it to my face.

Usually when exposing Marty Rathbun’s insanities I like to poke fun at him.  In this instance though I find humor to be completely inappropriate.

One cannot in all conscience joke about things like slavery, prostitution, massacre, death camps, religious and ethnic bigotry leading to death and exterminations.  These are not laughing matters and I have never laughed at them.

On behalf of all Scientologists everywhere, I unreservedly apologize to the Simon Wiesenthal Center and its supporters for any distress caused by this madman.   I, and all Scientologists I know, have the highest regard for Simon Wiesenthal personally and nothing but deep respect for the organization that continues his work and keeps his ideals alive.

I am utterly disgusted, ashamed and dismayed that one as low as Marty Rathbun was ever amongst our ranks.

The “Insignificance” of the Independent Movement

I hadn’t seen any of the anti-Marty church sites for a while.  Someone sent me a link to an article titled “The Insignficance of Marty Rathbun” at the following site:

http://martyrathbunindependent.com/

Notwithstanding the comedic relief of the over-the-top adjective laced diatribes straight out of Miscavige’s dictaphone, I did find a couple of interesting things during the visit.

First, I noted the liberal  use of every variation of my name in the urls in their links section.   We are apparently so insignificant that Miscavige has ordered twenty-six anti-independent blogs and sites, most using my name and/or Mike Rinder’s name in their urls.

Second, note that the majority of Miscavige’s links use my name, my blog title, my blog design, and even the same jpg image of Oscar, our Great Blue Heron friend – my common law trademark.

Clearly the intent is to divert as many people as possible from looking up my blog and what we offer.

But, contemplate this tactic for a moment, directed from the self-appointed COB of the corporation charged by LRH with the purpose of protecting the trademarks of Scientology.

An element of trademark violation is the knowing attempt to use the name or images that identify a product or producer.   It is done in such a way as to create a “confusion” in the mind of the consumer.  Trademark protection is afforded so as to protect the “goodwill” associated with the name of the product or producer – and not allow some interloper to benefit from the work that created that “goodwill.”

I have taken measures daily to make sure the public knows that I am diametrically opposed to everything Religious Technology Center and Church of Scientology International stands for.  The last thing I want anyone to do is identify me with them.

On the other hand, has the “holder” and “protector” of the trademarks of Scientology become anything more than a vampire personality desperately – with great investment of money and personnel resources – attempting to create confusion in the minds of the public by use of the names and images of more legitimate producers of the real product?

On top of all that, Miscavige missionaires have had the temerity for going on a year and one half to promise high-roller public that they are going to “shut Marty” down for copyright and trademark violations.

I can think of only four  words for David Miscavige on that score.

Make my day, punk.

Richard Reiss – Kha Khan

Richard Reiss, long-time Senior C/S Flag Service Organization has recently left his physical body. He reportedly lost a bout with cancer. Richard died at the age of 66 on March 4, 2011. He died at the Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor Florida. Seventeen days after his death, less than a quarter of Flag staff, and handful of public gathered for a church of Scientology memorial service.

I believe Richard deserves to have the world know about some extraordinary things about his life. Things that David Miscavige will not only not ever let be known, but as you shall see below he will likely spend more pretty pennies trying to silence.

Richard was a giant intellectually.

Richard, though many never had a chance to see it, had quite a theta endowment.

I don’t know how many people got to see Richard relaxed and being himself. I was fortunate to have been one of them.  Richard, you see, as the Snr Technical terminal at the Mecca of Technical Perfection was under a tremendous, continual pressure to abandon his integrity to forward the suppressive whims of David Miscavige. In fact, in one of his last public appearances he was forced to announce the “breakthrough” in Objectives, that every Scientologist needed them (wherever they might be on the Bridge) and up to 125 hours of them to boot.  In my opinion that was the last straw for Richard Reiss.

In early 96, Richard and I were assigned to “qual check” the Golden Age of Tech” drills that were being produced by LRH Technical Comps Unit at the direction of David Miscavige. Richard and I spent weeks together, sitting across a meter and reads simulator in the Qual Division Gold, Scientology Inc’s Headquarters doing just that.

Richard had been pretty much rotting for months at Gold under the auspices of some kind of “Correction Program”. I think he had been sent there mid 95 shortly after Miscavige had pushed him aside to bypass to write Lisa McPherson’s long, rambling Clear r-factor – and then continued to supervise suppressive programs like Expanded Dianetics and Power Processes after that fact, driving her to insanity and ultimately to death.

Richard was happy to be finally assigned to something he thought was meaningful.

Richard was one of the most analytically gifted individuals I have ever met. To most I think he came across so analytical as to lack esprit vital. That combined with the fact he was under the constant strain of lesser minds of RTC children relaying micro managed and generally suppressive tech orders to him from Miscavige.  And yes, I was an integral part of that apparatus, and I wish I could have apologized to Richard and make it up to him before his untimely death.

But, I was lucky for a while.  I worked alone with Richard for a good period of time where I didn’t have to walk the suppressive walk.  In our little Gold staff auditing room, for many hours day after day, while we worked in privacy he couldn’t help but let his hair down. Many a time I got him to crack a smile, and sometimes laugh – and sometimes even line charge while we tried to make sense of the plus, minus shunt computer logic being implemented with a tech the founder of which once said, “the only way the technology can be lost is if you become a slave to procedure. There is no substitute for understanding.”

Richard and I would test the draft drills and attempt to correct them. Richard would run through the drill with me and we’d get to a “what do you do?” spot, and I’d answer something like, “well that depends. There are about four or five avenues I could explore depending on a number of factors not covered in the linear scenario just given.” Richard would suppress a smirk. Then I’d launch on a soliloquy on those four or five possible avenues, until Richard couldn’t handle it any more and he’d crack up. Richard would then put his straight face on again and slowly, but surely, cite a punch list of LRH references validating my contentions.

And Richard had a wicked, wry sense of humor of his own, with which he caused an occasional belly laugh for me.

I have told elsewhere on this blog what happened with those drills – a great percentage of our corrections were never made, and a higher percentage of the drills never made it to Richard and I before the RTC bots snatched them up under the orders of Miscavige to “make it for the event” (May 9 event 1996).

I tended to have a more practical understanding of the tech – having been assigned to unsnarl many a case Richard and the rest of the tech hierarchy “screwed up” under the stifling, blanket arbitraries enforced by Miscavige. I sensed Richard got a kick out of seeing me do so. He clearly wished that he could operate the way I was allowed to. Later that decade I would sometimes call Richard for a tech reference because the man could cite me chapter and verse for any principal I threw at him.

By now some of you may be wondering about the title of this post, Richard Reiss Kha Khan.

Well, I was assigned Kha Khan status by Miscavige for having been in his words the “guy who got us tax exemption.” Here is what LRH said about the title of Kha Khan that Miscavige based it upon:

In an ancient army a particularly brave deed was recognized by an award of the title of Kha-Khan. It was not a rank. The person remained what he was, BUT he was entitled to be forgiven the death penalty ten times in case in the future he did anything wrong. That was a Kha-Khan.

Admittedly, Miscavige – as is his wont – dished it to me for manipulative, calculating, and insincere reasons. Namely to entice me to return from New Orleans a month after tax exemption was obtained in 1993. (Incidentally, if anyone is having trouble tracking with this, I suggest you watch the 3 and one half hours of video taped interviews with me at http://www.tampabay.com/specials/2009/reports/project/rathbun.shtml . I just don’t have time to recount all of the context, and it would tend to divert from the man of the moment, Richard).

I tell the following story to explain why I have eschewed the distinction and on my own origination award it, instead, to Richard Reiss.

Miscavige and I first spoke to the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service in the late summer/early Fall of 1991. By the end of the year we were deeply into negotiations with a team headed by the D/Commissioner for Exempt Organizations of the IRS. We pretty much commuted to D.C. – a couple times a month for the next year, preparing and bringing boxes and boxes of documentation to answer all of the questions the IRS had. By the Fall of 1992 Miscavige was becoming extremely impatient with the process. He used every carrot and stick method he knew to overwhelm the D/Commissioner to grant exemption.

We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to gather intelligence to flank all of this. We even received information from credible sources from the White House. And by near the end of the 1992 we were hearing that Papa Bush himself – exercising his trademark indecision – was concerned about the effect granting exemption to the Church of Scientology would have on his re-election hopes.

And so, the stalemate continued for another year. Nine months into the Clinton administration in fact.

There was not a single thing we provided the IRS during the year 1993 that was the make-break point of exemption entitlement.

Yet, lo and behold, in September 1993 – several months into the tenure of a Clinton appointed IRS Commissioner – the IRS Scientology team started swapping settlement drafts. In the first week of October we received tax exemption.

Fast forward a couple years.

Scientologist celebrity Ann Archer took a White House tour. To her surprise she was pulled  aside and lead to the Oval Office. Moments later President Bill Clinton appeared for a very rare one on one meet and greet.

Ann thanked Clinton for his administration having granted tax exemption to her church.

Clinton told Archer a little story as to why he considered it was the right thing to do. Clinton said that in the sixties when he was pursuing his Rhodes scholarship at Oxford, he hung with a fraternity of Yale University graduates. He said that a couple of the members of that franternity were Scientologists. He said he never forgot how kind and spiritual they both were. He knew then and there – by the beingnesses and conduct of those Scientologists – that Scientology was a spriritual activity and that “Scientologists were good people.”

President Bill Clinton did not mention names. But, I’ll tell you straight-up, Richard Reiss was one of those Scientologist Yale graduate, Rhodes scholars who met Bill Clinton during those days in the sixties.

Richard never spoke to Clinton since Oxford.

Richard didn’t know him well enough to do so.

But, Richard didn’t have to.

Richard left his mark by simply being himself around some amiable genius from Arkansas.

And that is why I say Richard Reiss is Kha Khan.

And I hope Richard that you find yourself a healthy, strong body with some parents who recognize a beautiful being and mind when you join their family. Or not if you’d prefer to do something else.

Whatever you choose to do, remember, it is entirely up to you.

Rex Fowler – Anatomy of a Miscavige “Win”

“Religion without humanity is poor human stuff.”

                 – Sojourner Truth, speech, Battle Creek, Michigan, 1877

Rex Fowler was convicted of First Degree Murder in Denver a couple of weeks ago.  Here are some short news summations of the trial:

http://www.denverpost.com/recommended/ci_17486754

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/26998170/detail.html

Here is what the jurors and the media did not find out about Rex.  Rex Fowler was manipulated into sacrificing himself for a First Degree Murder conviction to cover David Miscavige’s sorry ass.

I know the facts that follow from the several witnesses OSA took measures to make sure never saw the light of the court room.   I’ll continue to respect their wishes to remain unknown for their own protection.  However, if I am sued for libel, I know who to subpoena and  like the OJ case we’ll let play out in the civil arena what Miscavige made sure never made it to the criminal court house.

Rex was an on-lines, active “OT VII” in Scientology Inc.   Rex was – like most on “OT VII” lines at Flag in recent years – under constant, intense, even extreme pressure to leverage his personal and business life in order to fill Miscavige’s coffers.   He had leveraged his own business much like “OT VIII” Dr. Juan Villareal of Harlingen Texas had.  See: https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/how-radical-scientology-rips-off-medicaid/

Exacerbating matters for Rex were two more factors.  First, he was also under mind-bending Scientology Inc pressure because of his contribution to creating a Gay Scientologist community on the net.  Second, he had Scientology Inc affiliated handlers directly on his business lines making the Scientology Inc financial demand even more up front and personal.

The victim of the murder,  Fowler’s associate Thomas Ciancio, was a vocal critic of Rex’s siphoning money from the company to keep up with demands from Scientology Inc.  Shortly before the murder Rex was commanded by a Scienology Inc bot to “terminatedly handle” Thomas.  Shortly after Rex put three bullets into Mr. Ciciano at nearly point blank range.

OSA sent a number of missions to Denver since the murder to be sure the above facts never saw the light of day.

OSA set up a “handlers” unit to keep constant surveillance on the acts and even the thoughts of Rex Fowler’s wife.   Knowing that Fowler was considered non compos mentis – particularly after having put a bullet into his own head after offing Mr. Ciancio – OSA figured Fowler’s wife would effectively wind up calling all the shots with Fowler’s lawyers.  Witnesses were influenced to stay quiet, stay under the radar, and make themselves scarce.

Two facts reported on in the stories referenced above demonstrate the success of Miscavige’s OSA Cover Up missions:

a.  Fowler plead not-guilty of First Degree murder, because he couldn’t have planned it since he had only ever expressed intent to kill himself, not another.

b.  Fowler’s lawyers presented NO witnesses.

CONTRARY FACTS.  OMMITTED DATA.

The perfect cover up.  Fowler’s only viable defense was contained in the facts shared here; that he was under mind-numbing pressure by Scientology Inc to not only create the expressed antogonism of Mr. Ciancio but also at the same time to “put it to rest.”  The attorneys’ asses were covered by arguing a lesser  charge (2nd Degree Murder) applied to facts that were uncontestable: Rex Fowler shot Thomas Ciancio dead in cold blood. By keeping any truthful testimony from the lawyers about what really went down with Rex, the lawyers couldn’t present a credible defense as that would have exposed the destructive greed that Scientology Inc has become.  So, by making up an unsupported defense the attorneys could not be accused of not being in their clients’ corner even while they performed the absurdity of arguing a case with no evidence to support it.

Only one party to all this was happy with the outcome: David Miscavige’s Scientology Inc. This is the anatomy of a Miscavige “win.”   Who won?   Fowler?  His widow?  His family?  The deceased victim? The victim’s family?

No, I am afraid that the game directed by Miscavige is the game in which everyone loses.

First Degree Murder requires premeditation and malice aforethought.   The only cold-blooded premeditation and malice aforethought that occured in connection with State of Colorado vs. Rex Fowler occurred between the temples of David Miscavige and his intelligence network (Office of Special Affairs).

Rex, like everyone else on this planet, is responsible for his own actions.  But there is another contrary fact in all this that just makes the Fowler case not add up.  And that is this. I have heard from a number of people who knew Rex in better times.  To a one they described him as a loving, caring person.  To them, to Rex and to Rex’s family, and especially to Thomas Ciancio and his family and friends – our condolences and may peace be with you all.
