Rise and Shine

I noticed by a number of indicators that apparently the past few days of posts on the subject of Scientology spying have created some fear within the ranks of Independents and others who frequent this blog.  I can tell by the comments, numbers, back channel email and phone comm.

I noticed some people playing the old “ignore” the black panther card.  It goes, “I have nothing to hide, I am a friend with everybody, and I’ll just charm them right on up the tone scale.”  For those who don’t care much about the future of Scientology, and thus don’t make it their business to do much about it, that is perfectly workable. However, for those dedicating some time to salvaging the subject from the jaws of Miscavige defeat,  I am afraid that that philosophy just does not work. The former are not targets for hard ball, the latter are.   Hard core anti-Scientologists are not even targets for hard ball.  Anti-Scientology activity warrants you kid glove treatment by Miscavige.  Corporate Scientology Public Enemies worthy of hard core operations are Independents doing something effective about the continued and future use of the subject Scientology. By comparison, Anti Scientologists are friends of Dave.  That is why it takes a lot more courage to do something about the state of Scientology than to contribute to its demise.  For more on that subject, see https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2009/11/12/the-great-middle-path-redux/

There are two other problems with the “ignore” rationale.

First, whether you have something to hide is utterly irrelevant. Scientology intelligence operatives don’t befriend you primarily to find out stuff about you that you are hiding in order to stay out of trouble.  They befriend you in order to influence you into situations, to find stuff they can take out of context to black PR you and play psychological warfare on you, to covertly drive wedges between you and others, and to lose you your employment, all for the purposes of ruining you utterly.

Second, you are not going to charm a died-in-the-wool 1.1 up the tone scale. If you think you are, then you just plain don’t get the tone scale as covered in Science of Survival, PDC, and a number of other books and lecture series.  Every one of OSA’s agents are certified 1.1s right out of the same mold as their ultimate master David Miscavige.

And, therein lies the good news.  The article Catching Scientology Spies omitted the most important point of all – the most obvious point. It was omitted because it is a given between us primary targets.  And that point is, every one of OSA’s agents are certified 1.1s right out of the same mold as their ultimate master David Miscavige.

Intelligence is a 1.1 business.  The only effective undercover agents are really good 1.1s. They have  got to be real good 1.1s in order to survive in the trade for very long.  Don’t mistake this for the acting trade. This is the living a double life business, convincingly living a synthetic valence over an extended period of time while carrying out the purpose of destroying the life of the target.

So, while we shared fifteen or so common traits of these 1.1s, we omitted to mention the most important overriding point, intelligence agents are 1.1.  Not just in the Scientology field – in all intelligence fields.  And that is why repelling operatives is so easy for someone well above 3.0 who understands the tone scale.  Pretty simple.  I don’t let 1.1s too deep into my life.   If you know the tone scale and the tech of it, there is not much to worry about. The more you know the easier it is. If one only had a superficial knowledge and the ability to rattle off a
number of tones, and a couple of characteristics, it would be a fairly arduous
task.  But if you knew the tone scale so well you can perceive the chronic wavelength a person emits the moment he/she walks into the room it becomes as easy as living a stressless life.  Every tone has its own, unique wavelength.
And with practice they are perceptible. That is Philadelphia Doctorate Course tech, and it takes a pretty straightened out case where theta perceptics are alive and functioning.  But, in the meantime, one can study and work on it. Hell, there are a lot more valuable benefits to such a study than simply spotting and repelling plants.  So, forget the topic of this article; I highly recommend such a course of study for anyone.

The message I wanted to convey here is that despite my attempts to get people’s confront of evil up a few notches, don’t mistake that for the promotion of a dangerous environment. It is not dangerous if you avail yourself of the tech and don’t lead a 1.1 life with a gaggle of 1.1. “friends”, and don’t go reasonable falling for the 1.1 ploys of plastic people in your life. And if you stop buying the theetie-wheetie nonsense that there is no evil in the world and that we all will win solely by holding hands and singing Kumbaya; because, after all, we are all one and the same.  Making people believe that is the biggest and oldest con in this universe.  It sure sounds warm and fuzzy, but it is a covert (1.1) means of getting you to check your ability to “differentiate” at the door, the first step in dispensing with your sanity and causation.

For anyone interpreting this as an invitation for people to witch hunt and willy-nilly call people plants and trolls, please read it again.  It is not. You rarely see me engage in that, and it bothers me when I see trigger happy people attempting to shoot someone for treason on the blog with little provocation.  I chalk that up to an inability to hold one’s position in space, to confront what is before one and to investigate to determine truth.  I do invite people to up their confront and increase their abilities to perceive and reckon truth.  After all, it is truth that will set you free.

With Friends like that…Washington Post pt II

Another “church” of Scientology Office of Special Affairs “intelligence” memo is appended below.  This one is dated 11 April, 2006 and is a follow up to the last post on this blog concerning Corporate Scientology’s war on Washington Post Senior Editor Richard Leiby.

Please note how the word “friend” is used seven different times in this memo.  I think it would behoove folks to beware of “friends” sent in, bought off or otherwise corrupted by Corporate Scientology.   Radical Scientologists are quite capable of and inclined toward the intentional wounding of minds.

          RICHARD LEIBY

A friend asked Leiby how his trip to California was. He said that it was terrible because of the rain.  They know each other through Ida, and she knew he had been in California working on an article. The topic initially was Ida and some concern about her health.

Leiby said that he has been busy working in other priorities. When the friend wished him good luck on his story on Scientology, he went down tone. The friend commented that he did not appear to be enthusiastic about it. Leiby response was, “sometime other things take priority and you get taken off something and don’t get excited any longer.” Leiby said that it would take some months before he does anything with the Scientology story and he said it as if he had no idea himself of when this would be. He then told the friend that he doesn’t have an exact timing or deadline to do it.

The friend wished him well and ended the conversation.

          CHUCK BEATTY:

As he’s usually close to Lerma and plugged in to “media” the subject came up in a routine conversation with a friend. Beatty said that he used to get two or three calls a month from young reporters who asked him questions like “does Scientology brainwash?” Beatty was nattering about these reporters because they asked him stupid questions and it clearly showed that they didn’t do their homework. Beatty said that he is not qualified to answer such a question anyway.  The friend then brought up having seen an article by Leiby from last year (on the web). Beatty said that he knows of Leiby and that he is a very good reporter, but he did not know of anything that Leiby is doing in PT.

Expecting data still from other sources.

Scientology Cult vs. Washington Post – part one

News coverage thus far on this post:

Probably the only man who hates the Washington Post more than Richard Nixon did is David Miscavige, leader of the Corporate Scientology Cult.

In 2006 Washington Post Senior Editor Richard Leiby was working on a story concerning the corporation that according to its founding documents (as directed by L Ron Hubbard) had the power to prevent David Miscavige from  creating a dictatorship of Corporate Scientology, the Church of Spiritual Technology (CST).

Leiby was no stranger to Scientology stories.  He had been targetted by the Scientology’s Guardian’s Office in the 1970’s for his investigative reporting for the Clearwater Sun newspaper.

Accordingly, in 2006 Miscavige called for OSA (Office of Special Affairs, the Guardian’s Office successor) to hit Leiby with all slick ops in order to silence the Washington Post and try to prevent disclosures about CST.

The first op included sending  “a source” in on Leiby to elicit personal information from him, searching the trash of Leiby and of his wife with whom he was separated, and launching investigations to use the Leibys’ ongoing divorce proceeding as a club against Mr. Leiby.  Recent investigations indicate Leiby’s wife – who was blanketed by OSA initially – ultimately caved and accepted Corporate Scientology assistance in using her divorce proceedings as a boot to Mr. Leiby’s throat.  That is the way it goes with Corporate Scientology, it is all about leverage.  And it is all about crushing the “opposition” by any means imaginable.

The following is an Office of Special Affairs Investigation (Intelligence) Division report of March 27, 2006 detailing the initial Leiby offensive.

RICHARD LEIBY

In approximately March of 2005 Leiby was living with Arnie Lerma as he was having marriage trouble and was kicked out of the house by his wife.  He had planned to stay there for a month or two while he got things together.

At the end of January we found the new apartment that Leiby moved to in Rockville, Maryland, about 2 miles away from his wife (Theresa) and their three children.

Although they have been separated for a year no divorce papers have been filed as yet, as he and his wife are fighting over the equity in the home and are working out property settlements with their attorneys before filing anything in court.

The wife, Theresa Defino, is the Executive Editor of the Physician’s Practice magazine – a magazine for doctors that covers the business side of the medical field such as insurance contracts, billing etc. She has been a medical writer her entire career. She works from home and the children are with her – a 16 year old girl and 12-year-old twins, a boy and a girl.

Special collections [Ed note: euphemism for stealing the garbage] could not be done at Leiby’s apartment but this was checked regularly at the wife’s home [her garbage WAS collected]. Thus far nothing of interest has turned up.

Leiby has been very stressed out about the divorce and per a source, he gave up his gossip column “Reliable Source” with the Post, as he could not handle it.  He also has a situation with his personal finances as he has to pay for the divorce and the attorney fees, plus the house and his apartment.

Leiby made two calls to CST on March 24th each time leaving just his name and his Washington phone number. DSA DC made a call on the 27th Leiby’s senior at the Washington Post, Deborah Heard. She was informed that as Leiby was so completely biased, we were not going to be calling him back but we would talk to anyone else at the Post.  Deborah responded that she hoped that someone would call him back as she had 65 juniors and she did not know what they were all working on. It was reiterated that Leiby was extremely biased and had recently been a roommate with someone who is a major attacker of the Church, who has threatened the Church and has been involved with extremist right wing groups. Deborah was taken aback but was still repeating that we should call Leiby back. She was told that this was not going to happen, as while we have had other reporters that were biased, at least they gave us an opportunity to respond and quoted what was said. However with Leiby it was felt that he would not fairly represent what was said.

Deborah responded that she was sorry we felt that way, but in her 15 years of working with Leiby at the Post, she has found him to be a “serious, dedicated, meticulous reporter.” She said that with any complaint, there are three avenues – Legal and go to the Legal Dept (she was informed that it was not a Legal issue), that the ombudsman, Deborah Howell is the readers advocate and we could write to her. Lastly, the Department Head can hear complaints and she wants to hear complaints about her staff.  She was informed this was a complaint and she then suggested that a letter be sent to her with the complaint.

A letter will be sent to Deborah Heard that details the past relationship with Leiby and what the upsets are that make us feel he is not qualified to report on the Church.

We are currently workout out a new meeting with Leiby with the resource to get more information to find out what the current scene is with his wife, any specific data as to why she kicked him out, what he is planning on doing, etc.

STAY TUNED FOR PART TWO

Brian Mandigo Acquitted

Brian Mandigo, also known as Anon Sparrow, was acquitted of charges of Stalking and Wearing a Mask to Intimidate.  Brian is the fellow who does the frequent, many times solo, protests in front of the Founding Church of Scientology Washington D.C.  I have commented before that I have found his tactics offensive, sometimes tasteless and counter-productive.

However, I have also found the Corporate Church’s tactics in dealing with him far more offensive than Brian’s.  Those tactics included having members of the Nation of Islam come out to overtly and covertly physically threaten Brian.  Worse, they wheeled in lawyer Rick Moxon to work with the District Attorney to trump up the charges that were recently dismissed.

The church of Scientology has unclean hands when it comes to stalking and using costumes to intimidate as they proved very recently at my home.  Their form of stalking and intimidation goes on day after day, using sophisticated equipment and myriad highly paid cut outs so as to lurk undetected and effectively without liability to Corporate Scientology.  And it occurs nationwide and worldwide.

Further, their tactics of lying to law enforcement and spending thousands upon thousands to influence prosecutors in order to abuse the processes of law so as to  “dead agent” a single person execercising his or her constitutional rights is unconscionable.

In this particular case an Independent Scientologist, Tom Felts,  testified on behalf of the defense.  In thanks for performing his civic duty, he was subjected to a particularly hurtful form of  Radical Scientology harassment.

Kudos to Tom for doing the right thing.

And congratulations to Brian for standing up to the beast and prevailing.

Latest Corporate Scientology Felonies

UPDATE: Village Voice coverage,

http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/04/scientology_cri.php

David Miscavige and his plumbers unit have been busy this week.

Miscavige had his boys obtain Mosey’s social security number.

Yesterday while I was in session repairing Miscavige’s Black Dianetics on a woman whom Miscavige is actively attempting to shudder into silence Miscavige’s agents used Mosey’s social security number to access our phone account.   The agent obtained access and downloaded our phone records.

Don’t mistake this announcement for any cause for worry.

I am simply making a record, loud and clear and in real time.

Whether authorities act or not doesn’t make much difference to me.   I never held up hope that any money motivated spectators would have the balls to go up against the “war chest.”

If anyone thinks any of this is having an adverse effect on me, stay tuned. May is going to make April look like a seashells and balloons picnic.

And, yes we’ll be expanding on the delivery of repair of his Black Dianetics all the while.  You’ll hear more about that in the next couple days. Our philosophy is simple.   It is quite well summed up in these words:

When I’m on stage, I’m trying to do one thing: bring people joy. Just like church does. People don’t go to church to find trouble, they go there to lose it.

Running with the Rats

An interesting article appeared today in the New York Observer. http://www.observer.com/2011/media/was-vanity-fair-writer-reporting-church-scientology-or-its-payroll

It addresses a posting I made on this blog a couple weeks ago concerning a Scientology Inc informant by the name of John Connolly, https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2011/02/15/journalists-beware-of-scientology-inc-spy/

The author John Cook did quite a bit of nifty string pulling. He provides an unique view of the murky underworld of spy work where much of Scientology Inc public’s money winds up.

Scientology Inc Threatens Revenge on Paul Haggis

The following threat was posted on a blog created and operated by the Office of Special Affairs, the dirty tricks intelligence operation of Church of Scientology “leader” David Miscavige.   Last year I revealed on this blog that Scientology Inc was busy buying up every version of my name and Mike Rinder’s name they could figure:  https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2010/06/25/david-miscavige-wants-to-be-like-mike/

Since this blog began, Scientology Inc has created more than twenty web sites and blogs devoted to attacking me.   After we exposed one after another and the unlawful and tasteless content on each, and Scientology Inc shut one after another down, they settled on one central “anti Marty” site. Again they pirated my name in a vampirish attempt to garner an audience, “martyrathbunblog.com”

The following quotation is taken from the latest posting on that David Miscavige ordered and micro managed site:

Anyone with any sense would know that the claims made by Paul Haggis in the recent media attack are what has been fed by Marty Rathbun, Mike Rinder and his extremist friends who have been making such scurrilous and false accusations for years. The journalist should have at least cross-checked some of the facts with someone who wasn’t a vicious religious bigot, scared of what the Church should know about them.

As a sure indication that there are skeletons he’d rather hide, Haggis tried to head off possible revelations of what he’s really been doing, saying that he expected a “scandal” about him to be the result of his attack on the Church. Methinks he knows he deserves to be exposed…hmmmmm….

Hell, he admitted to early criminal acts he withheld, and you can be sure that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

We’ll stay tuned…

While Scientology Inc has to date been very careful to cover Miscavige’s ass by candy coating his injunctions to “take out” myself and others, apparently the impact of the New Yorker article has caused them to yet again over-reach.  This latest passage I can intrepret no other way than as a threat.   It is a threat to unlawfully use confessional data among other things.

For Miscavige to direct such thuggery (and ask Mike Rinder if there is a chance Miscavige doesn’t micro manage that blog down to the placement of commas) publicly is testament to his complete loss of sanity, in my opinion.

Cisco Kid Is A Friend of Mine

I call Daniel Montalvo the Cisco Kid.  He got that title after I found myself listening to War’s classic by that title shortly after Daniel had stood up to a considerable wall of suppression late last year.  You know, the dashing Latino-American cowboy hero with one hell of an integrity quotient – he fits the bill.

Here’s how Daniel earned the moniker.  First, he was coerced into a trap by Scientology Inc in-house counsel Kendrick Moxon.  Moxon promised Daniel that he would be greeted at the airport by his wife and be provided with a hotel room so that he could route out if he returned  to Los Angeles from the safety of Tom Devocht’s home near Clearwater.  Instead, Daniel was picked up by an OSA agent and couriered to a room where he was interrogated by the best LA lawyers Scientology Inc could buy.  Daniel was coerced to throw me and Mike Rinder under the bus by confessing to a conspiracy of Miscavige’s imagination.  When Daniel held firm to the truth, he was escorted to a dank cell at the East LA branch of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office.   Without Miranda Rights being read he was treated to more interrogations by an LA County Sheriff Deputy Detective, bought and directed by Scientology Inc.  Again, the demand to thow me and Mike Rinder under the bus became, well, extreme.  Luckily, Cisco had strength and the good sense to utilize his one phone call to get hold of the Tiziano and Jamie.

We got to spend some time with Daniel in November at the Beghe ranch and at the Luglis’ place.  Thanks to you all,  he’s done a hell of a job in getting this strength up.   “Coincidentally”, the church sent a couple of gumshoes to Tiziano and Jamie’s house while we were visiting.  Scn Inc paid one Frank Salerno (one of many retired LA County Sheriffs who has claimed to be THE solver of the Hillside Strangler and other high profile cases) and his partner to put the screws to Cisco, as you can see here:

With each round of attempted intimidation and Miscavige over-the-top-overreaching the Cisco Kid  just keeps getting stronger.

Here is a very brief (necessarily so) update on Daniel for all those who helped keep him out of the Scientology Inc stir:

Ask not what Scientology Inc might do to the Cisco Kid, ask what the Cisco Kid is gonna do to Scientology Inc.

Casablanca Update

Casablanca turns out to be an apt name for our modest abode.  There is never a dull moment.  People scheduled months in advance are likely to meet the most fascinating folks who come through on an emergency basis.   While what people face on the other side of the Wall contain similar elements, each being and the story he or she lives and the challenges they face are unique.

In the the past three weeks alone we have hosted four people who have informed me about being approached by OSA agents to infiltrate and disrupt our lives.  Four people in three weeks.  Four people who refused,  and made their way half way across the country to tell me about it. Now, if the subjects of four failed attempts have made it to my place in a three week span, how many attempted infiltrations and disruptions do you think OSA operatives have attempted in the past two years?

What does all this mean?

It means David Miscavige is afraid.  Very afraid.

One of the would-be operatives was told “all you gotta do is throw Rathbun under the bus.”

I’ve got news for Miscavige, direct, not via his jive ass Western Union Messenger boys:

We don’t do bus tires.

I’ve commented before about what it is Miscavige fears so intensely.  A lot of people have commented recently that it must be the FBI or some other government Ogre.  Again, I’ll lodge my respectful disagreement.  If you really understand this cat, I think you will find that what he fears is what it is we are about – freeing beings.

While all this cloak and dagger dramatization plays out – making what we do more interesting and entertaining – the following is what we do.  Here are just the latest two:

Problems Release:
I realized there is no such thing as a problem.  Solving a problem comes from lack
of abundance and usually results in more problems. In fact, most people are
defined by their problems or lack of….”trivial” or “unstoppable.”
I realized that I have always been the source of my problems.
My biggest cognition was being able to fully look at how I am constantly
trying to change people instead of ‘as-ising’ them and accepting them
as they are.  One can have a communication in order to have agreement
with someone, but one can not keep an agreement for someone else.
I choose to be unstoppable in the face of ‘no-agreement.’
I also realized that procrastination has been the biggest source
of what I once considered problems.  I was not taking action by either
not fully looking at the problem or choosing to simply not address the problem.
Resistance and procrastination seem to be the source that holds something as
a ‘problem.’ I am free from problems!
Now I get to look at what I am committed to……Period.  I am free!
– Unstoppable

Dear Marty and Mosey,

I don’t know where to begin to start thanking you for this past week. I knew I was gaining valuable insights in a short time thanks to your direction, Marty, and the auditing process, but it wasn’t until I arrived home that I’m starting to realize how profound they really are. The closest I can come to describing it is that I’m seeing everything with new eyes – my position in life, my relationships, my home – everything has been effected in a positive way.  I look forward to the days and weeks to come as I see even more revelations unfold. I can say without hesitation that those were the most significant days I have yet experienced in my life.

To be able to experience auditing in a safe and welcoming and compassionate environment enhanced the process to such a degree that I can’t imagine doing it any other way. Mosey, thank you for all the little touches that made me feel so welcome – and for the wonderful meals (although I may regret them tomorrow when I finally get back to the gym   🙂 ).You are both wonderful examples of the promise that LRH conceived all those years ago. I feel fortunate to have met you both and I consider you among the best of my friends. Please know that if you should ever need a place to stay or if there is anything at all that we can do for you, please know we will welcome the opportunity.

I wish you the best in your own journeys. We’ll stay in touch.

Journalists Beware of Scientology Inc Spy

Jason Beghe phoned me to catch up with hurricane aftermath news. He told me that shortly after the New Yorker story ran a John Connolly, who represents himself as a Vanity Fair regular contributor, phoned Jason.  Connolly tried to pump Jason for anything he knew about the New Yorker’s investigation.  A covert investigation of the author Lawrence Wright.  While doing so Connolly attempted to drive a wedge between Jason on the one side and Mike Rinder and I on the other.  Since Jason didn’t just fall off the turnip truck Connolly did, hard.

John Connolly has been a Church of Scientology Office of Special Affairs informant for nearly two decades.  He has infiltrated several journalists doing stories on Scientology during that time, posing as a like-minded investigative journalist working on a Scientology story.  Journalists have apparently either not compared notes, or simply not noticed that Connolly hasn’t delivered on a Scientology story in the twenty years he says he’s been working on one.  Connolly was originally recruited by Eugene Martin Ingram.

Here is an excerpt from a document authored by then-DCO External OSA INT (currently CO OSA INT – and at all times since the early eighties to the present Intelligence Chief OSA Int effectively) Linda Hamel.  The document is dated, coincidentally, 14 February 2006 – five years ago, today.   It reports on Connolly’s spy work against the author of the unauthorized biography of Tom Cruise, UK journalist Andrew Morton.

Welcome to the sunlight John Connolly.

14 Feb 2006

Connolly was here in LA working on the Pellicano story and contacted Morton and met with him on the basis of gaining his cooperation to be interviewed for an article for Vanity Fair about the books Morton has done on celebrities including the one he is writing on Tom Cruise. Connolly wanted to see what Morton was like and get any information about where Morton is currently at with regard to writing the book and to see if Morton would agree to be interviewed for an article. Based on the meeting, Connolly said that Morton seems to have finished his research already and is busy writing the book.

Connolly told Morton that it would not be a puff piece and would show both sides including what would be said about Morton. (Connolly will use the article to  investigate Morton’s past treatment of other celebrities, use of sleazy sources, etc. that would undermine Morton’s credibility). Morton said he would check with St. Martin’s Press to get their take on cooperating for the story. Morton seems to be interested in generating publicity for the book.

Connolly’s impression of Morton is that he is a serious writer and is a focused person but enjoyable to talk to. He knows how to use his charm to get people to talk. Morton also told him that it only took him five weeks to write the Monica Lewinsky book – so he is capable of churning out a lot in a short period of time.

Morton said that he thought that Tom Cruise was a good story and that is why he wanted to write the book. The reporter got the impression from talking with Morton that Morton has collected a lot of information about the Church and that this will be well covered in the book. Morton also mentioned that he has an assistant who is working for him.

Morton also said that he had met Paul Barresi a couple of times but did not go into the details of what Barresi said.

Connolly’s impression is that Morton is a formidable adversary who is not going to back down. He thinks that Morton has made up his mind already as to the angle of the book but did not specifically say what it was.

Morton mentioned that he had received a nasty letter from Bert Fields – he didn’t have any further comment about this.

Morton asked if Anthony Pelicano ever worked for the client (the Church). Connolly, who is an expert on Pelicano said “no” and he doesn’t think that Tom Cruise has ever met Pelicano. Connolly will be getting back to Morton to see what St. Martin’s Press says. He has been given background documents that we have on Morton and on Barresi who we know that Morton has been using.

This UK reporter that we have a line to has helped get information out about Morton hiring Paul Barresi. He is willing to continue to feed information and documents to the UK tabloids to discredit Morton. He made a proposal that he could rapidly write a pre-emptive positive book about Mr. Cruise, which he thought would undermine the one from St. Martin’s Press. However, when this idea of a pre-emptive book was checked with Tommy Davis, it was not something that he felt Mr. Cruise would want.

This UK reporter will continue to be used for feeding information and stories to the UK tabloids about Morton. There is a rumor about Morton no longer being with his UK publisher Michael O’Mara which will be checked into to see if there was a conflict or a falling out. This could possibly be another attack point on Morton if it is found that there was a falling out.

In the US Connolly, wants to do an investigative story and put a piece together on Morton and his use of sleazy sources in the books he has done about celebrities such as Madonna, the Beckhams and Tom Cruise. This would attack Morton on his reputation questioning the credibility of his sources.
