De-Ding: Here Comes The Wagon

Ok, so here is how the King of Squirrels has come full circle by becoming what he so forcefully resists and resisting what he so forcefully becomes.

The walking GPM.

KoS holds court with admirers

I am going to start by repeating an excerpt from an essay I posted on November 2, 2010:

Miscavige used such an abuse as part of his own push toward power in the early eighties.  A couple of Mission Holders, most notably one Kingsley Wimbush, used Responsibilities of Leaders as an integral part of a process called “De-dinging.”   Wimbush would gather staff and public at the end of the evening in the course room of his mission. He would have them read The Responsibilities of Leaders.  He would then insist that properly interpretted the policy required all of those who depended upon his “power” (all staff and public) to flow “power” to Wimbush.   He told them that the power flow he desired was money, and he’d pressure the staff and public to fill his hat with bills, the larger the denominations the better.

With this information Miscavige grotesquely violated this provision of The Responsibilities of Leaders: So to live at all in the shadow or employ of a power, you must yourself gather and USE enough power to hold your own – without just nattering to the power to “kill Pete”, in straightforward or more suppressive veiled ways to him, as these wreck the power that supports yours.

Miscavige did so by writing the most exaggerated, alarming and vicious reports about Mission Holders.  In fact, he used the Wimbush abuse of The Responsibilities of Leaders to unjustly paint dozens of Mission Holders with the same color.  His reports were so “Kill Pete” in nature that he led LRH to believe the Mission Holders were in fact government operatives out to kill LRH.

Ironically, or perhaps predictably, once Miscavige rose to power through such shifts, he eschewed virtually all LRH policy, but for one: The Reponsibilities of Leaders.  Apparently, Miscavige recognized how one (Wimbush for example) could get people to do the most irrational and off policy things by fixating their attention on this one policy.

Now, here is what David Miscavige had to say about Wimbush and his de-dinging “tech” during this terrordome “briefing” to Mission Holders on 17 October, 1982 – while full-stride, headlong into his push for power:

“Earlier this evening both Kingsley Wimbush and Dean Stokes were here. They have both now been declared and we are pursuing criminal charges against them. They have been delivering their own squirrel tech while calling it Scientology. Kingsley Wimbush’s ‘dinging process’ is complete squirrel. You won’t find it in any tech, yet he has been calling it Scientology. That’s a violation of trademark laws and he now faces some serious charges for this crime. This sort of activity is NOT going to go on any more.”  – David Miscavige 17 October, 1982

Now, do you remember this bozo from last Monday on this blog, the Village Voice, The London Daily Mail, and Gawker?:

OT “VIII”, OT Ambassador John Allender.   A man so bereft of intelligence he travelled across state lines 1,500 miles in order to continue to stalk and threaten Lori Hodgson at my home in Texas, the same woman he was already under investigation by the San Jose Police Department for stalking and threatening.

What might motivate such a bonehead move?  Perhaps a Simon Bolivar wanna be with a Napoleon complex?

Hold your hats.

In 1982 when Kingsley Wimbush and his brother Bernie and their pal Clay Primrose were literally holding public Scientologists prisoner in the Course Room at Stevens Creek Mission, the public were so terrified very few raised a peep in protest.

But, there were a few exceptions.  One was  a young woman named Lori Hodgson.  Lori wrote up to management that the D of T (Director of Training) at Steven’s Creek was literally imprisoning public and passing around a hat at the end of each course period collecting cash for the executives of the org.

That D of T’s name?

You got it.  John Allender.

You’ve heard of the Ideal Org.

Now, meet the Ideal OTA:

A Resurrection Story – Michael Fairman

(Note: those unfamiliar with Scientology can get a very good translation of this post at the Village Voice, http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/04/michael_fairman.php)

Resurrection refers to the literal coming back to life of the biologically dead. – Wikipedia

First, a little context provided by the irrepressible Cowboy Poet (a comment he made on this blog yesterday):

We’re about to celebrate Easter, the Christian holiday celebrating Jesus’s rise from the dead–is exterior, I suppose. (Theologians might dispute my one sentence explanation but we’ll use it.) So now if one were so bold as to examine Christian history with the Church of Scientology history, he would find history repeating itself a thousand fold. I mean how many people here, people of good intention, were crucified and later went exterior when they figured out the truth of the matter? I rest my case. Happy Easter!!!!  – Cowboy Poet

There should be no mistaking that the intent of the Suppressive Person declare in modern corporate Scientology is the the public killing of the recipient.  Sort of like the crucifixion of old Roman times, don’t just kill them, hang em’ up so others will get the message.

David Miscavige – as is his wont – has evilized the practice so greatly as to have it blow up in his face.  He has enforced a firm policy over the past couple years – no SP declares are to be circulated broadly – intstead to be used privately so as to quietly stab the recipient in the back among his friends, family and associates. A sort of stealth crucifixion.

The rationale is three-fold: a) he is declaring so many opinion leaders, the omnipresent Golden Rod would be the best advertisement for people to get the hell out of his “church”,  b) his black PR manifestos are so full of easily demonstrable falsehoods that they would “be made fun of on the internet”, c) the accused might try to obtain a comm ev (as everyone who is declared is entitled by Policy to) and the presentation of EVIDENCE at a  number of such trials would likely result in comm ev members leaving the burning house too.

So to date, very few high profile Independents have ever seen their own declare orders. Well, leave it to Miscavige’s outfit to get careless with one of the highest profile declare orders ever written.  Michael Fairman’s badge of honor mysteriously wound up in his hands.  And not surprisingly Michael has a few things to say about it.  So, what follows are Michael’s publication of and commentary on his own declare order.  And with it goes perhaps the last, remaining shred of credibility such orders may have once carried.   And so Micheal’s crucifixion is converted by theta into exteriorization – may all future ones follow suit.

What follows is the declare order on me, Michael Fairman, It was sent to me through the not-so-underground railroad by a contributer to this blog. As you see it is dated January 15, 2011, the day before Tommy Davis and Mike Sutter showed up at my door without warning at the behest of my long time “friend” Lee Kessler, who also accompanied them. The very same goldenrod that TD inched out from between the covers of a manila folder,  as he  warned me that unless I returned this very day to the path from which I had strayed, I would be sued for the cost of re-shooting the tech and public films in which I had performed; lose my family and friends, and of course, forfeit my eternity. Accused — prosecuted — found guilty –and sentenced right there on my door step. And here is my certificate of doom.

I have excerpted the following two paragraphs (the specific allegations) from the declare and my comments follow each of them. My comments are in BOLD .

Paragragh 1
“Michael Fairman has been pretending to be a Scientologist while covertly attempting to divert unsuspecting Scientologists in good standing off The Bridge to Total Freedom. He is not a Scientologist and has also participated in squirrel activities with a squirrel individual, declared SP by HCO, who “audits” with no valid certs, no pc folders, no examiner, squirrel E-Meter and virtually no element of a standard session per HCOB 4 Dec. 1977RA, CHECKLIST FOR SETTING UP SESSIONS AND AN E-METER and HCO PL 19 Mar. 1972, C/Sing OR AUDITING WITHOUT FOLDER STUDY.”
Michael Fairman IS a Scientologist and continues to overtly attempt to divert unsuspecting members from the Church of Miscavige who are not really on the Bridge to Total Freedom. Being a Scientologist, I have also participated in activities with an individual who audits as I imagined Mr. Hubbard would have audited, because the results this individual helped me achieve were spectacular.
I had a a D of P and a PC folder. He used an E-Meter exactly like the one I used for 10 years ( however, his was not the same color as mine). This meter indicated FN’s to him, which he indicated to me, which I KNEW were F/N’s;  and I did go to the Examiner.
Now comes a paragraph riddled with hypocrisy, gross exaggeration, lies and even worse, information from my sacred, confidential, never to be revealed PC folders that reside at the Flag Land Base. And how base this is!
Paragraph 2
“Investigation into Fairman’s background shows a long unchanging pattern of out-ethics and of squirreling the most basic Scientology principles. He was found to have been committing gross out-tech on his Solo auditing, for example: falsifying his Solo session worksheets; omitting data from his worksheets; failing to communicate to the C//S uncertainties on reads and F/Ns which only came up much later; intentionally engaging in out-ethics activities with the purpose of restimulating his own case; and also repeatedly placing the life of others at risk by driving recklessly. He also has a track of financial irregularities and situations of out-exchange, and out-ethics behavior on the 2D, unfitting the ethical standards of a Scientologist and unchanging, preventing him from being able to get Standard Tech in and from getting case gains.”
Because of my “long unchanging pattern of out-ethics….”, I was brought to the Golden Era Studios  at the Int. base in Hemet (after a complete and rigorous personal history check) to perform in (from 1984 to 2004) the following Tech and Public films:
“What Happened To These Civilizations” (for which I received an award presented to me my the on and only David Miscavige)

“Evolution of a Science”  (for which I received another award)
“The 2D Film” (not absolutely sure of the title)
“How The E-Meter Works:
“Man The Unfathomable”
“The Story Of Book One” (which has played for years at the LRH Exhibition in Hollywood)
The Dianetics Documercial” (which played on commercial and cable late night television for over two years, and I was informed by reliable sources that these airings helped bring thousands of people to Book One) AND I was personally validated by DM at a Flag graduation after it was shown to the congregation.
“Body Motions Tech Film” (in which I played a gorilla-psychiatrist lest no one recognized me)
The Testing Tech Film (I was the nimble-fingered, dollar snagging D of P)
In addition I hosted the IAS’s 8th Anniversary Gala Show on the Freewinds and was presented with one of the first copies of “What Is Scientology?” I was invited to perform in the initial readings of Mr. Hubbard’s pulp fiction stories at Author Services.
I was a voice actor on four recordings of Mr. Hubbard’s pulp fiction stories at the Mad Hatter Studios.
And I performed for several years in Christmas Stories at Celebrity Centre Int in the company of many, if not all, of Scientology’s luminaries. (These events helped raise funds for the LA Police Dept to buy toys for kids.)
Not once, at any of these events, was an MAA attending me or looking over my shoulder.
As to “committing gross out-tech on his solo auditing” these were all immediately or eventually brought to the attention of my C/S or originated in a D of P.
As to intentionally restimulating my own case,  and driving recklessly (my god, I live in Los Angeles!) I guess I still had some case gain to make in those areas. I have not reached the “ethical standards of a Scientologist”  or other Scientologists “in good standing”, who are, of course, perfect in-ethics, Homo Novis, super beings.
As to “out-ethics behavior on the 2D”. A BALD-FACED LIE!  I was married to my first wife for nine years, my second, a year and my present wife eighteen years (we’ve have been in love twenty). Not once, NOT ONCE, did I go out 2D in any of my marriages.
Now to the final straw. “He also has a track of financial irregularities and situations of out exchange…” This is a shaggy dog. Bear with me.
In  early 1993,  I had  already finished my second round of NOTS (The first round was Mayo-tainted). I was debt free and had 8K in the bank. I had just married and my wife and  my FSM, Divona Lewis, were urging me to buy OT VI, VII and VIII. I found myself in the FSO office depleting my bank account and maxing out about a half dozen or more credit cards. With assurances from all that my career would leap into affluence after getting onto VII,  I increased the credit limits  on most of the cards to pay for the services, accommodations and airfare. My wife was to accompany me so we could conceive a child at Flag, and she purchased L-11 with her own money. This left me deep in credit card debt and she was broke.
When we ran out of accommodation funds, my wife helped create the Late Nite Cafe at the Sandcastle in  exchange for a room. She performed there Saturday nights  for fifteen straight weeks. It was always jammed with people from both on and off the base, bringing in quite a bit of change to the Org. She also performed the Flag Song to standing ovations every Friday graduation during that period.
In July she completed L11 and conceived our daughter. One of the miracles of the rundown and by October I was auditing on Solo NOTS.
From January of 1994 to the Fall of 2004 I audited continuously on VII. However, we did not earn enough money together in that decade to support “The Level”. All our funds went for FP. I had to get handled at Flag in March of 1994 because of heavy restimulation from the Northridge Quake. I could not pay for it, and  I was “carried” by Flag because I was an “important person to the Church”.
In April, my daughter was born. Now I had to start reporting for “the six month checks” and pay the 6 month C/S’ing fees. I could make the air fares, but had to stay at my sister-in-law’s adjacent to the Sandcastle; ate there most of the time and on the base sporadically to conserve funds. Money flow from work was not making it. Credit card bills were crushing me and I had to use funds set aside for taxes to pay them. So in 1995 and 1996 I paid no income tax. In 1997, I declared bankruptcy to keep from completely being squashed.
All this time on Solo and in Ethics, I was constantly trying handle the financial PTP, but there was no appreciable increase of income. I could not afford the necessary intensives or six month C/S’ing fees, and was assured by one Flag President and two Flag Vice Presidents throughout this decade, that it would be taken care of because the valuable contributions I had made and was continuing  to make to Scientology.
I originated over and over to the Flag VP’s that I felt out-exchange, and that it was becoming more and more difficult to accept the offers of being “carried”, but was told not to worry. I was assured that I had already exchanged with the Church in abundance. In the ten years I was on VII, aside from the initial service “donations” I personally paid for two intensives — money that was borrowed from friends and fully repaid.
Sometime in 2003, I was presented with a bill for 28K, which included  the intensives I had used and several C/Sing fees.
I stopped auditing in early 2004, but that is a story for another time. I continued with some studies –the VM, Course the PTS/SP Course, DMSMH and SOS Basics. My pensions and Social Security were just keeping us afloat. I did not have the funds to get back to Flag, the 28K debt to them had to be paid first, and by early 2008 I decided not to participate in ANY Church activities.
Well, lo and behold! In the Spring of 2008 I booked a TV series. By the Fall of that year, I was doing the series, AND was a regular on the soap opera “Young and the Restless” Also included in this period was a run on the series, “Sons Of Anarchy”. I  also finally travelled to New York City and handled a long standing estrangement with my son. We are now in great communication.
In the Spring of 2010, my wife and I moved into separate homes, a decision that was made in 1995. In addition I have completely handled my IRS debts. I owe them nothing and have paid all my taxes on time.
In 2009 I read Paul Haggis’letter of resignation,  and began my research into the Church of Miscavige.
I have been debt free since early 2010, and am supporting two households.
I make car and insurance payments on my Mercedes. Thaaaat’s All Folks!
So what “financial irregularities and out-exchange” are they  fucking talking about???
And what does this so called “investigation” have to do with my being a Suppressive Person????  What it is, plain and simple, is an attempt to defame my character in the eyes of the other dedicated, robotic, cool aide drinkers, who know who Michael Fairman really is. Well, my goodness,  Fairman  would NEVER see the“King Pin Squirrel”,  Marty Rathbun unless he was a dyed-in-the-wool perverted, out-2D, technical fuck-up!
Well, here’s some news for all you automatons who turn purple at the mere mention of possible DM corruption and leap up like a jack-in-the box at the sight of the little Napoleon. You are on the wrong side of history. I know it with all the knowingness I know I possess,
And here’s a plea to those of you still left with a modicum of awareness. I urge you to read Plato’s allegory of the cave. No need to venture on to the dangerous internet, You’ll find it in his “Republic”, and ask yourselves: Who are those chained in the darkness and are able to look only at the projected realities on the parapet? Where, really, is the light of truth?
And as to not getting Standard Tech from the “individual squirrel”? May I reiterate. I had more wins and continuing cognitions in the four days with Mr. Rathbun than in years of Solo and eligibility and from plodding through scores of conditions formulas. He has helped me unchain myself completely and bask in the light.
And finally an anecdote:
When my daughter was less than a year old, the three of us traveled to Flag to clean up some  things in our marriage (the decision to live separately was made then) and hold a naming ceremony for her. My wife’s sister, mother and grandmother joined us to make it a holiday.
A day or so later my wife, my daughter and I were finishing lunch in the Hibiscus restaurant. Also there, seated across the room, was David Miscavige and his entourage. As he and his  be-braided minions were leaving, they  passed our table. I stood up, greeted him, and invited him to meet my daughter. (We were passing acquaintances because of my many trips to Gold). He stopped, leaned down toward her stroller and said “Hi, Sky”. There was a moment of silence and then she gave a him a raspberry loud enough to be heard throughout the room. His entourage stiffened and became stone-faced. I paled as well and looked at my wife. Then Miscavige  laughed and that cued his minions to laugh as well, and they all left.
The thetan that is my daughter knew something then that my wife and I didn’t.
Now fifteen years later, Mr. Miscavige, in response to this piece of crap you have published on my behalf — PPPPPTTTTTTHHHHH!!!!!!

Let’s Say…

Let’s say:

You find out your husband has inoperable cancer and must go through months of chemotherapy and radiation.

Let’s say:

Your husband takes full responsibility for his physical condition and directs his own course of medical treatment with the spiritual aspect being assisted by an assigned auditor and CS.

Let’s say:

After months of medical and spiritual treatment, you find out in the public venue that your husband “isn’t expected to live.”

Let’s say:

You again find out in the public venue that your husband did it wrong in his handling of the financial exchange for helping LRH.

Let’s say:

You are told about documents that exist regarding the financial exchange for taking care of LRH – not by your husband – but in the public venue and verified by an executive at ASI.

Let’s say:

You know the data is false because you were present at the meeting when the exchange was set up.

Let’s say:

At no time were you ever consulted regarding the correct data which thus prolonged the false data and resulted in trouble for twenty plus years.

Let’s say:

When your husband eventually departs – in a fully cognizant condition – you are shunned by former friends and are escorted out of the organization where you have worked for the last four years.

Let’s say:

You are then contacted by the IAS Reg who thinks you should take out a home equity loan to raise your status in the IAS because COB has “a really big situation.”

Let’s say:

You “see where this is going” and decide that there’s a great deal of counter- and other-intention in your current environment, some lasting as long as twenty plus years.

Let’s say:

You decide to take matters into your own hands and relocate to a far friendlier environment.

Let’s say:

You put others in charge of the hats your husband no longer wears as well as the hats you have not been allowed to wear and new hats you refuse to wear.

Let’s say:

Even after relocating you are called, dropped in upon, sent books off account and regged by telephone; in other words, caused trouble by those who think you should be doing anything other than what you already are doing.

Let’s say:

You discover a new venue which is far more compassionate and caring than that which you have left behind, and into which you now can communicate.

Let’s say:  Hallelujah!

My name is Rachel Denk. Dr. Denk introduced me to Scientology in the early seventies and we were married in the Seattle Org.

Dr. Denk departed this life on November 5, 2004. In later 2005, I relocated to Spokane WA, the city where I was raised and still have family. Dr. Denk was born and raised in Omak WA and still has family living there.

In closing, I deeply miss my husband of thirty years and the life we shared. But I lost far too much at one time at the hands of organized Scientology and, stated very simply, had to operate independently out of respect for both Dr. Denk and LRH. This is my statement.

The Palmers – Dignified Departure and Arrival

dig·ni·fied/ˈdigniˌfīd/

Adjective: Having or showing a composed or serious manner that is worthy of respect.  (Dictionary.com)
That is the first word that came to mind when I read the following story of Richard and Vicki Palmer.

Richard and Vicki Palmer

My whole history in Scientology will have to wait. While it may be interesting to some, amusing to others, helpful to others still and cathartic for me – it’s too long to post here.

Having started in 1988 I’ve had the unique experience of being in Scientology after LRH departed but with the organization still having the “feel” of the earlier era (or at least what I imagine it felt like). I was fortunate enough to get training and auditing both pre and post Golden Age of Tech. And I’ve also held positions that gave me a unique view of the church.

I trained and interned as a course supervisor & Pro Word Clearer on the TTC (Technical Training Corps) and held a supervisor position for a number of years before going into the TTC again and training as an auditor & C/S. My last post held in an org was that of Snr C/S and I held it for 5 years.

I’ve done training, auditing and staff activities in Los Angeles, Flag & the Freewinds. And due to my staff status I’ve met people and been witness to things I wouldn’t have as a public. This led me to have many un-reconciled dichotomies about the subject – and left me with great conflict over the years. Some examples:

  • Reading about ARC being the universal solvent and then witnessing the LRH Comm of ASHO “rip the face off” the Commanding Officer.
  • Studying at great length the comm formula and the power of it only to then listen to David Miscavige (and RTC/Int Management staff) denigrate my peers with gross disdain at the Snr C/S Conference.
  • As an extra in a tech film seeing mistreatment of many SO staff, while one or two were treated like kings.
  • Training as a minister and coming to understand the benevolence of the subject, but then working with & around RPF members and seeing how they were treated.

While I can cite example upon example of dichotomies like the above (as a public, as an auditor, as a C/S, as an OT) I still continued with the subject. I was of the frame of mind that there was considerably more good happening and had thoroughly bought the PR that upper management was an idyllic heaven of standardness – it was just us idiots down lower on the org board, goofing things up. I was, for many years, the ideal “bot” for the church. I forwarded the PR line of management and was as much an example of what was expected of me as possible. If there was a program – I would forward its objective.

I had unique comm lines that most staff didn’t have. I was the Snr C/S so I had a Network post – this put me on the lines of management directly. I also had a direct line to RTC, complete with weekly reports. And as the Birthday Game I/C I had other unique comm lines. Being close friends to the DSA of the org also put me on unique comm lines.

As the only OT in both Day & Foundation orgs I’d had more hours of confessional auditing than the entire staff of both orgs combined. Yet I continually found myself in ethics trouble. Despite having been the only staff member I knew of in over a decade to complete a program (and gain signification of it from management) I still was a failure. And despite recruiting over 30 people for staff, C/Sing for both orgs and doing HGC & Review auditing I was still a downstat.

I watched year by year things change. The things that I noticed first were “statistics” at events that didn’t add up. They were things that didn’t really have any bearing on anything – or didn’t directly correlate to the business of orgs. Hearing about “column inches” of press didn’t mean much to me after I’d been involved with the DSA to get something posted in the newspaper for her stat. And things like “Number of books sold” became meaningless when I saw thousands upon thousands of dollars being spent on them by fellow Scientologists – and when the “25 books equals a Scientologist” quote would get tossed into the mix, it really stung.

Being trained pre-GAT and having true ARC in a session was very remarkable. Even if I goofed or didn’t know what to do next it hardly mattered. I was there with the PC and we were both doing our best. The C/S was caring and gentle with both of us – and why wouldn’t he be? And while internships were difficult, at the end of the day I was a PC’s friend. The GAT changed all of that. Personality, ARC, charisma, care – all of it went out the window. I had a realization shortly after finishing my GAT training (which at the time I thought was a good one – in hindsight it wasn’t), that with the advent of the GAT we no longer had “good” or “bad” auditors, we simply had auditors.

As Snr C/S I watched as the subject was systematically ruined – doing our best to churn out rote, robotic “auditors” as fast as possible. And I was running dozens of programs to ensure this happened. The irony is the GAT is such a pile of crap, there’s no way those programs will ever be completed. It’d be like having a series of programs that “extinguish the sun” by using acetone – just not going to happen, no matter how much effort you put into it.

But as a Scientologist, I was still trying to do it all. I was moving through OT levels, was trained and on post in a Class V org, had my wife moving up the Bridge, my son was in an Applied Scholastics school and we were even donating thousands to the IAS. But therein lied the rub – this was just too expensive for a “regular” family to do. I could see the writing on the wall, albeit too late. I was already in the hole for well over $100,000 and hadn’t even started OT VII yet. I’d been working days, nights & weekends for over a decade and was tired. There were very little days off, no vacations and no normalcy for my wife and son.

In 2002, I finished my staff contract, but as many of you know, there’s no “Congratulations/Thank You” for completing a contract and leaving. Oh no. And while there’s no golden watch, there can be goldenrod. 🙂

A Comm Ev was begun a couple months prior to me completing my contract and was issued a month after I left (but was still C/Sing for both orgs out of my home). The Findings & Recommendations were pretty gross. After all the years of work/exchange I’d given, all of my auditing & C/S certificates were suspended pending re-train (among a long list of other things). I was left with a sickening feeling of being “lucky” I hadn’t been declared. Still I soldiered on.

Interesting to note, my wife pointed out to me that most people after leaving staff (or being Comm Ev’d) simply disappear. At some point in the future there will be an attempt to get them “recovered” and at that time it will be disclosed how valuable they’ve always been and what a great contributor they were. But I decided to buck the trend. I was no enemy of Scientology. I wanted everyone to win!

So I got involved with the OT Committee and eventually took the position of D/Chairman. The Chairman & I sat down with some others and came up with a great idea – we’d get a public-level project going to buy the org a building! We started working on it and after a while had a building located, inspected and the initial checklist of actions done for management approval. It was affordable and was constructed & zoned for more stories on top of it for future expansion!

But as you can guess, that building was disapproved (without anyone looking at it) and the OTC was “in trouble” for acting without authorization. It was about this time I got a knowledge report written on me for “being too uptone” in the face of my unfinished F&Rs. Clearly I should have been more hangdog and stayed quietly off-lines. Well, as there was a Sea Org ethics mission in the org, this single KR got me hauled in – and I was told in no uncertain terms that if I didn’t pay for and route onto the Ethics Specialist course immediately, I’d be declared…

I got on course and worked on it diligently. I did my best to be a model student and help the supervisor out (whom I recruited and is still on staff to this day as far as I know) , gave wins, etc.. And yes, I completed it in checksheet time.

I then stopped working with the OTC and went flat out for months to get through my F&Rs. Why did I go through all of this? Well, because I wanted my wife and I to go to the Freewinds and do the OT Debug service, of course! The idea was simple. They promoted 98% of people doing this service are onto their next major service within 2 weeks of returning from the ship. I was thinking I liked those odds – because there was no way I’d be seeing a major service (simply from a financial aspect) for decades at the rate things were going. I was all-in, in the dark (poker parlance).

It was an expensive action but also a defining moment. Doing that service cost well over $25,000 (that we didn’t have) but helped open our eyes like no other. Doing the debug resulted in us having one of the most miserable times of our lives, being invalidated as to our intentions & abilities and left with no route of help.

After the debug we spent the next few years recovering financially. There was no option of doing more Bridge activity. I went to events and helped out however I could, but as far as services/donations go, I was no longer in the game. I was a broken piece…

And that’s why the OT Debug was also the most valuable thing I’d done in a long time. My wife and I both agreed that the church could no longer “help” us and we would have to rely on ourselves. It allowed me to take a step back and do what I knew to be the right things – work, pay off existing debt, never go into this kind of debt again, etc. It had the unexpected effect of allowing me to see how far astray the church had gone from my earliest days with it.

Over the next few years of just going to events (but not doing services or giving money) I was seeing a gross pattern – and recalling earlier instances of the same, substantiated things in my mind. My only thought was that sometime in the future things would be different. I had nothing left in the tank to give, so wasn’t really able to “pitch in to fix things”.

In July of 2009, Vicki and I found out about the St. Petersburg Times article & videos. I of course, was pretty knowledgeable about Marty, his post and relationship within RTC. Similarly with the others giving video testimony. Clearly I didn’t know them as well as those working/living with them all, but as far as “non-SO” went, I had much more knowledge than most.

To say I was in shock would be an understatement. The “problem” I was having was how everything was all of a sudden making sense to me. The church would like people to believe that the testimony given in those videos is what causes a negative effect in the wayward Scientologist. But that is a slap in the face in and of itself. I’d been observing things for YEARS with only partial data, unable to ascertain the truth of them because of incomplete data. No explanation given by the church EVER reconciled them for me. But these videos absolutely did.

I started thinking about how well little Dianetics book clubs & impromptu groups did. And how well Missions seemed to work, compared to Class V orgs. And how increasingly more difficult it got to get the job done as you moved up the org board. I was getting memories flashing of things I observed in Class V orgs, ASHO/AO, how much more poorly people were treated at Flag, the Freewinds, what it was like at the CLO/FOLO and what it was like at FB. The higher you went on the org board THE WORSE IT WAS! But I only ever saw up to FB so never personally witnessed the abuses at Int. But it now made sense – the idea of things “coming down the org board” was really true.

It now made sense why the RTC Reps in SO orgs were the rudest, most unfriendly, out-of-ARC people I’d ever met. It made sense why the MAAs in upper orgs were so concerned with petty overts. It explained why every Class V org EO eventually acted like a douche bag, pretending to be a big shot with a “badge”. It explained why the OSA network had the seediest, most no-gain-case personnel all over their lines. Why so much money went to “defense” of orgs. Why the church needed so many attorneys. Why the church’s PR was so horrible world-wide. And why the subject was being used the way it was on parishioners.

From the moment I had these realizations, I was out…

There is no way I can advocate, condone or support an organization betraying the very foundation of its existence. The Church of Scientology has become a fraudulent, human rights violating, cult of greed.

Step three of the Doubt formula states, “Decide on the basis of ‘the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics’ whether or not it should be attacked, harmed or suppressed or helped.

I firmly believe the church is no longer deserving of ‘help’…

Imagine

Imagine.

I want you to imagine a scenario for a moment if you will.

Imagine that with every step you ever took in Scientology the following ACT ONE was in.

Please read ACT ONE again. Here it is:

“The auditor and pre-clear are a group. To function well a group must be cleared. The clearing of a group is not difficult. It requires but little time. The relationship of the auditor and pre-clear is not parity. The auditor lends himself to the group as the control center of the group until the pre-clear’s subcontrol center is established under his own control center’s command. The role of the auditor ceases at that moment.

The auditor necessarily owns the pre-clear. He owns the pre-clear on a lessening basis until the pre-clear owns himself. If the auditor wishes to successfully own, to the end of NOT owning the pre-clear, he must not use the pre-clear to the service of the auditor for this establishes and confirms the ownership and inhibits the pre-clear from owning himself.

THE FIRST ACT of the auditor concerns himself. He assesses the task rather than the pre-clear and assesses the matter within himself. He establishes whether or not he desires the pre-clear to become established under the pre-clear’s own center of control. To do this the auditor may find it necessary to straight-wire himself for the removal of any reason why he does not want this pre-clear to be owned by the pre-clear. He then postulates to himself what he wants to happen with this pre-clear and postulates as well that he can do this task with this pre-clear. He must feel these postulates solidly. If he cannot he must discover why he cannot. Thus the first session’s first minutes with the pre-clear are concerned with the auditor himself. He should take time out from the pre-clear until he himself is established in his task and then readdress the pre-clear. “

– L Ron Hubbard, Advanced Procedures and Axioms

Now, when I say imagine that it was in, I do not mean “sorta in”, “a lot in”, “a little in”, or “most of the time in”. I mean, in unconditionally.

To get what I mean by completely in, please take a few minutes to review a segment of an interview I did with the St Petersburg Times in 2009. You can find it at this link, http://www.tampabay.com/specials/2009/reports/project/rathbun.shtml

On the right hand side of the image, there is a list of topics. Click on the one entitled “Abuse of Trust.”

The conditions I describe in that video interview are Church of Scientology conditions making the definition of in-session unattainable – that is “interested in own case and willing to talk to the auditor.” I mean, unconditionally “willing to talk to the auditor” with no consideration present that there are any adverse ramifications possible for what one might say to the auditor.

There is no such thing as “kinda in session”, just as certainly as there is no such thing as “kinda pregnant.” One is either willing (completely without the slightest allowance for concern of repercussion) to talk to the auditor, or one is not. One is either unequivocally interested and willing to look at whatever he is directed to inspect and arises and then discharge it by exposing it to the light of the auditor or he is not. If the pc has that 100% confidence it causes exact time, place, form and event to as-is. If he/she does not then that time, place, form and event is altered to that degree and tends to solidify and thus mass and energy and uknowingness accumulates in the universe of the pc.

There is one condition precedent for creating the condition of “in session.” That is, ACT ONE is IN.

Imagine ACT ONE being in with TONE 40. I don’t mean the corrupted, sacrilegious, low-scale force that Scientology Inc has foisted off on people as TONE 40. I mean TONE 40 defined: “Intention without reservation.”

Imagine now that every session you ever received was received with absolute confidence that ACT ONE at Tone 40 was in with your auditor.

Now imagine every session, every training action, every cycle ever “administered” under the name of Scientology was done so with the unequivocal intent to return free theta to you so as to return more of you to you so as to enhance your control over your own destiny.

Imagine further that ACT ONE was in with every person within the organization administering that auditing and training. That means the Case Supervisor, the Examiner, the D of P, the folder pages, the Ethics Officer, the Chaplain, all Qualifications Division Terminals, all Tech Division Terminals, all Div Six terminals. That also means all OSA terminals, Int Management, including its alter ego who micromanages it to suit his intentions and image.

Imagine further that ACT ONE was in with all Division Two terminals.

And, yes I know it is difficult, but also please imagine that all Registrars had their ACT ONE in with respect to you.

Absurd? Why? How could ACT ONE – the creation of a third dynamic for the spiritual betterment of the pc – mean anything when that auditor’s participation in it is dictated utterly by a larger third dynamic for other purposes, some detrimental to the pc? When that auditor reports in detail everything that goes on within the created auditor/pc third dynamic and subjects the pc to the effects that larger third dynamic wishes to create on that pc? When that auditor does not utterly control the auditor side of the e-meter, but instead subjects the preclear to the whims of another much larger third dynamic?

I don’t care if God wrote the policies that dictate the actions of that larger third dynamic, there is no ACT ONE if the auditor’s contract with the pc does not bind every single member of the larger third dynamic under whose auspices and control he is carrying out his auditing duties. And no matter how closely the members of the larger organization follow God’s policy, the moment any single one of the members of that larger third dynamic violates the pc’s contract with the auditor under ACT ONE, that contract is broken. And that pc is for it.

An unattainable absolute? Ok, imagine every org terminal who exerts any influence upon you went through the process of ACT ONE on you before he or she ever gave a command or suggestion? And imagine that each did his or her darned best at keeping that ACT ONE postulate clean and in with respect to you.

Now, if you haven’t already done so, lightly scan your history in and around Scientology organizations and imagine all departures from ACT ONE by all terminals connected with those organizations had not been present. Instead, each terminal did his level best to operate with ACT ONE in with respect to you.

Imagine where you’d be right NOW.

Imagine.

Richard Reiss – Kha Khan

Richard Reiss, long-time Senior C/S Flag Service Organization has recently left his physical body. He reportedly lost a bout with cancer. Richard died at the age of 66 on March 4, 2011. He died at the Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor Florida. Seventeen days after his death, less than a quarter of Flag staff, and handful of public gathered for a church of Scientology memorial service.

I believe Richard deserves to have the world know about some extraordinary things about his life. Things that David Miscavige will not only not ever let be known, but as you shall see below he will likely spend more pretty pennies trying to silence.

Richard was a giant intellectually.

Richard, though many never had a chance to see it, had quite a theta endowment.

I don’t know how many people got to see Richard relaxed and being himself. I was fortunate to have been one of them.  Richard, you see, as the Snr Technical terminal at the Mecca of Technical Perfection was under a tremendous, continual pressure to abandon his integrity to forward the suppressive whims of David Miscavige. In fact, in one of his last public appearances he was forced to announce the “breakthrough” in Objectives, that every Scientologist needed them (wherever they might be on the Bridge) and up to 125 hours of them to boot.  In my opinion that was the last straw for Richard Reiss.

In early 96, Richard and I were assigned to “qual check” the Golden Age of Tech” drills that were being produced by LRH Technical Comps Unit at the direction of David Miscavige. Richard and I spent weeks together, sitting across a meter and reads simulator in the Qual Division Gold, Scientology Inc’s Headquarters doing just that.

Richard had been pretty much rotting for months at Gold under the auspices of some kind of “Correction Program”. I think he had been sent there mid 95 shortly after Miscavige had pushed him aside to bypass to write Lisa McPherson’s long, rambling Clear r-factor – and then continued to supervise suppressive programs like Expanded Dianetics and Power Processes after that fact, driving her to insanity and ultimately to death.

Richard was happy to be finally assigned to something he thought was meaningful.

Richard was one of the most analytically gifted individuals I have ever met. To most I think he came across so analytical as to lack esprit vital. That combined with the fact he was under the constant strain of lesser minds of RTC children relaying micro managed and generally suppressive tech orders to him from Miscavige.  And yes, I was an integral part of that apparatus, and I wish I could have apologized to Richard and make it up to him before his untimely death.

But, I was lucky for a while.  I worked alone with Richard for a good period of time where I didn’t have to walk the suppressive walk.  In our little Gold staff auditing room, for many hours day after day, while we worked in privacy he couldn’t help but let his hair down. Many a time I got him to crack a smile, and sometimes laugh – and sometimes even line charge while we tried to make sense of the plus, minus shunt computer logic being implemented with a tech the founder of which once said, “the only way the technology can be lost is if you become a slave to procedure. There is no substitute for understanding.”

Richard and I would test the draft drills and attempt to correct them. Richard would run through the drill with me and we’d get to a “what do you do?” spot, and I’d answer something like, “well that depends. There are about four or five avenues I could explore depending on a number of factors not covered in the linear scenario just given.” Richard would suppress a smirk. Then I’d launch on a soliloquy on those four or five possible avenues, until Richard couldn’t handle it any more and he’d crack up. Richard would then put his straight face on again and slowly, but surely, cite a punch list of LRH references validating my contentions.

And Richard had a wicked, wry sense of humor of his own, with which he caused an occasional belly laugh for me.

I have told elsewhere on this blog what happened with those drills – a great percentage of our corrections were never made, and a higher percentage of the drills never made it to Richard and I before the RTC bots snatched them up under the orders of Miscavige to “make it for the event” (May 9 event 1996).

I tended to have a more practical understanding of the tech – having been assigned to unsnarl many a case Richard and the rest of the tech hierarchy “screwed up” under the stifling, blanket arbitraries enforced by Miscavige. I sensed Richard got a kick out of seeing me do so. He clearly wished that he could operate the way I was allowed to. Later that decade I would sometimes call Richard for a tech reference because the man could cite me chapter and verse for any principal I threw at him.

By now some of you may be wondering about the title of this post, Richard Reiss Kha Khan.

Well, I was assigned Kha Khan status by Miscavige for having been in his words the “guy who got us tax exemption.” Here is what LRH said about the title of Kha Khan that Miscavige based it upon:

In an ancient army a particularly brave deed was recognized by an award of the title of Kha-Khan. It was not a rank. The person remained what he was, BUT he was entitled to be forgiven the death penalty ten times in case in the future he did anything wrong. That was a Kha-Khan.

Admittedly, Miscavige – as is his wont – dished it to me for manipulative, calculating, and insincere reasons. Namely to entice me to return from New Orleans a month after tax exemption was obtained in 1993. (Incidentally, if anyone is having trouble tracking with this, I suggest you watch the 3 and one half hours of video taped interviews with me at http://www.tampabay.com/specials/2009/reports/project/rathbun.shtml . I just don’t have time to recount all of the context, and it would tend to divert from the man of the moment, Richard).

I tell the following story to explain why I have eschewed the distinction and on my own origination award it, instead, to Richard Reiss.

Miscavige and I first spoke to the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service in the late summer/early Fall of 1991. By the end of the year we were deeply into negotiations with a team headed by the D/Commissioner for Exempt Organizations of the IRS. We pretty much commuted to D.C. – a couple times a month for the next year, preparing and bringing boxes and boxes of documentation to answer all of the questions the IRS had. By the Fall of 1992 Miscavige was becoming extremely impatient with the process. He used every carrot and stick method he knew to overwhelm the D/Commissioner to grant exemption.

We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to gather intelligence to flank all of this. We even received information from credible sources from the White House. And by near the end of the 1992 we were hearing that Papa Bush himself – exercising his trademark indecision – was concerned about the effect granting exemption to the Church of Scientology would have on his re-election hopes.

And so, the stalemate continued for another year. Nine months into the Clinton administration in fact.

There was not a single thing we provided the IRS during the year 1993 that was the make-break point of exemption entitlement.

Yet, lo and behold, in September 1993 – several months into the tenure of a Clinton appointed IRS Commissioner – the IRS Scientology team started swapping settlement drafts. In the first week of October we received tax exemption.

Fast forward a couple years.

Scientologist celebrity Ann Archer took a White House tour. To her surprise she was pulled  aside and lead to the Oval Office. Moments later President Bill Clinton appeared for a very rare one on one meet and greet.

Ann thanked Clinton for his administration having granted tax exemption to her church.

Clinton told Archer a little story as to why he considered it was the right thing to do. Clinton said that in the sixties when he was pursuing his Rhodes scholarship at Oxford, he hung with a fraternity of Yale University graduates. He said that a couple of the members of that franternity were Scientologists. He said he never forgot how kind and spiritual they both were. He knew then and there – by the beingnesses and conduct of those Scientologists – that Scientology was a spriritual activity and that “Scientologists were good people.”

President Bill Clinton did not mention names. But, I’ll tell you straight-up, Richard Reiss was one of those Scientologist Yale graduate, Rhodes scholars who met Bill Clinton during those days in the sixties.

Richard never spoke to Clinton since Oxford.

Richard didn’t know him well enough to do so.

But, Richard didn’t have to.

Richard left his mark by simply being himself around some amiable genius from Arkansas.

And that is why I say Richard Reiss is Kha Khan.

And I hope Richard that you find yourself a healthy, strong body with some parents who recognize a beautiful being and mind when you join their family. Or not if you’d prefer to do something else.

Whatever you choose to do, remember, it is entirely up to you.

Rex Fowler – Anatomy of a Miscavige “Win”

“Religion without humanity is poor human stuff.”

                 – Sojourner Truth, speech, Battle Creek, Michigan, 1877

Rex Fowler was convicted of First Degree Murder in Denver a couple of weeks ago.  Here are some short news summations of the trial:

http://www.denverpost.com/recommended/ci_17486754

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/26998170/detail.html

Here is what the jurors and the media did not find out about Rex.  Rex Fowler was manipulated into sacrificing himself for a First Degree Murder conviction to cover David Miscavige’s sorry ass.

I know the facts that follow from the several witnesses OSA took measures to make sure never saw the light of the court room.   I’ll continue to respect their wishes to remain unknown for their own protection.  However, if I am sued for libel, I know who to subpoena and  like the OJ case we’ll let play out in the civil arena what Miscavige made sure never made it to the criminal court house.

Rex was an on-lines, active “OT VII” in Scientology Inc.   Rex was – like most on “OT VII” lines at Flag in recent years – under constant, intense, even extreme pressure to leverage his personal and business life in order to fill Miscavige’s coffers.   He had leveraged his own business much like “OT VIII” Dr. Juan Villareal of Harlingen Texas had.  See: https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/how-radical-scientology-rips-off-medicaid/

Exacerbating matters for Rex were two more factors.  First, he was also under mind-bending Scientology Inc pressure because of his contribution to creating a Gay Scientologist community on the net.  Second, he had Scientology Inc affiliated handlers directly on his business lines making the Scientology Inc financial demand even more up front and personal.

The victim of the murder,  Fowler’s associate Thomas Ciancio, was a vocal critic of Rex’s siphoning money from the company to keep up with demands from Scientology Inc.  Shortly before the murder Rex was commanded by a Scienology Inc bot to “terminatedly handle” Thomas.  Shortly after Rex put three bullets into Mr. Ciciano at nearly point blank range.

OSA sent a number of missions to Denver since the murder to be sure the above facts never saw the light of day.

OSA set up a “handlers” unit to keep constant surveillance on the acts and even the thoughts of Rex Fowler’s wife.   Knowing that Fowler was considered non compos mentis – particularly after having put a bullet into his own head after offing Mr. Ciancio – OSA figured Fowler’s wife would effectively wind up calling all the shots with Fowler’s lawyers.  Witnesses were influenced to stay quiet, stay under the radar, and make themselves scarce.

Two facts reported on in the stories referenced above demonstrate the success of Miscavige’s OSA Cover Up missions:

a.  Fowler plead not-guilty of First Degree murder, because he couldn’t have planned it since he had only ever expressed intent to kill himself, not another.

b.  Fowler’s lawyers presented NO witnesses.

CONTRARY FACTS.  OMMITTED DATA.

The perfect cover up.  Fowler’s only viable defense was contained in the facts shared here; that he was under mind-numbing pressure by Scientology Inc to not only create the expressed antogonism of Mr. Ciancio but also at the same time to “put it to rest.”  The attorneys’ asses were covered by arguing a lesser  charge (2nd Degree Murder) applied to facts that were uncontestable: Rex Fowler shot Thomas Ciancio dead in cold blood. By keeping any truthful testimony from the lawyers about what really went down with Rex, the lawyers couldn’t present a credible defense as that would have exposed the destructive greed that Scientology Inc has become.  So, by making up an unsupported defense the attorneys could not be accused of not being in their clients’ corner even while they performed the absurdity of arguing a case with no evidence to support it.

Only one party to all this was happy with the outcome: David Miscavige’s Scientology Inc. This is the anatomy of a Miscavige “win.”   Who won?   Fowler?  His widow?  His family?  The deceased victim? The victim’s family?

No, I am afraid that the game directed by Miscavige is the game in which everyone loses.

First Degree Murder requires premeditation and malice aforethought.   The only cold-blooded premeditation and malice aforethought that occured in connection with State of Colorado vs. Rex Fowler occurred between the temples of David Miscavige and his intelligence network (Office of Special Affairs).

Rex, like everyone else on this planet, is responsible for his own actions.  But there is another contrary fact in all this that just makes the Fowler case not add up.  And that is this. I have heard from a number of people who knew Rex in better times.  To a one they described him as a loving, caring person.  To them, to Rex and to Rex’s family, and especially to Thomas Ciancio and his family and friends – our condolences and may peace be with you all.

Bryan Ubaghs – Another Seattle Superstar

I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan Ubaghs (pronounced You Bozz) during the November Seattle Independents gathering.  A friendlier fellow you may never get to know.  A great artist.  A very productive long-term Scientologist.  And a valuable contributor to the blog under the handle Idle Org.  And on top of all that I  love the way he’s got Tony and Marie-Jo’s backs.

My story is a simple one. I entered Scientology in 1989, at the age of 21. It didn’t take much indoctrination to quickly decide that LRH’s tech was indeed what I had been looking for.

By age 41 I had been a Scientologist for twenty years. I had defended LRH and the tech many times by then. I had helped on numerous artistic projects, painting murals, playing drums with Bill Bertinot and The Fabulous Spontanes during ASHO events, creating artwork for Mark Arnold’s fiction writings, and too many other actions, along with commendations, to mention here.

I even tried my hand being on staff several times, although briefly.

If I had a dollar for every person I’ve body-routed, every piece of promo I’ve stuffed or every project I’ve helped on over the years, I’d be rich.

My point is that I fully support LRH’s goals toward a better, safer, saner earth.

And that is exactly why I have officially left the Church of Scientology as it exists under its current leadership.

Today the emphasis is on money. It is also on force. Force to join staff. Force to think like the group. Force to figure out how to pay what will easily amount to half a million dollars to attain the highest OT levels, keep the IAS coffers filled, and purchase brick and mortar Ideal Orgs (which absolutely have not been earned if we are honest about confronting the actual production stat trends over the long term).

On the subject of Ideal Orgs, I personally feel that they are simply a camouflauged hole. A very unusual, utterly off-policy “solution” to hide the fact that the course rooms are empty. That zero Scientology celebrities promote being in the church any longer in the public eye. That dozens of OT7’s and 8’s have not only left the church recently, but have gone online to publish their names, photos, contact information and personal horror stories regarding the above items I’ve mentioned.

The IAS has collected hundreds of millions of dollars over the past couple of decades, yet there are more big pharma ads for drugs today than ever before, by a long shot.

But the thing I simply cannot ignore is that far too many long-time, highly-trained Scientologists are not only abandoning their church world wide, they are unanimously calling for the removal of one David Miscavige.

The glaring outpoint here is that you are not allowed to look at anything critical of Scientology or COB. You are not allowed to search the internet on these matters. You are not allowed to take full Knowledge, Responsibility and thus Control of the situation. You are not allowed to evaluate all of the data for your own, personal self.

Instead, others are deciding what is and isn’t “acceptable” information and then forcing this massive blind spot upon you, with threat of heavy “ethics” and even expulsion if you merely begin querrying the outpoints you may have noticed.

Well, this is NOT the work or intention of LRH. It is a trap.

Right now, differentiate between L. Ron Hubbard and current management. They are NOT the same thing, at all.

The glaring outpoint is: You would be totally free to look at and decide upon whatever you please as a free citizen of America and other nations if current Scientology management had nothing to hide.

I’ve done the research. I’ve dared to look. And current Scientology management has a LOT to hide. It is a fact that the FBI is now investigating COB specifically. I’ll let you do your own research on that one. It’s too incredible to believe. Literally.

If you are currently afraid of being your full self, speaking freely and obtaining any data you like, anywhere……then you are utterly and completely in a trap. And you know it. You absolutely do.

That said, there is a massive, world-wide movement right now to free the tech and make it affordable and available to the masses on this planet.

For most people of earth don’t even know where their dinner is coming from tonight, let alone how to come up with impossible funds to go up the Bridge.

Please do not buy into the gross lie that Tony DePhillips is the kingpin of evil in the NW. Please have some dignity and integrity regarding this matter. Tony and his wife, Marie-Jo, have done more to help LRH in terms of cash donations, effort and energy than most in this city. It is ridiculous, shameful and massively unethical to declare these good people as “Suppressive Persons”. In fact, it’s downright embarrassing! Another camouflauged hole. And since the DePhillips’ departure, have student points shot upward? Have Clears and trained auditors been coming off the assembly line in sudden abundance? Have bodies in the shop advanced one bit? No. They certainly have not. And reports from across the world are that most Ideal Orgs are graveyards of inactivity, despite the flashy presentation and PR at events.

Fancy buildings will never hide the fact of massive unpopularity.

There are lots of friends on the outside. There is life on the outside. Many are going up LRH’s Bridge on the outside, minus the group-think, the heavy ethics, the forced introversion, the unbearable expense.

Best of luck. Your own integrity is very definitely far more important than anything your seniors in the church try to force you into agreeing with.

Truth be told, they are NOT your actual seniors, in any way, shape or form.

That is, unless you decide that they are.

The David Miscavige Vyrus (Virus)

How does a guy who gives a whole new meaning to the term “religious leader” (per his own PR flak) keep up with the Cruises in his driven assault to hang in the ranks of the rich and famous?  Easy, when he has a cash cow like the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization.   About four years ago Dave decided that his custom Harley and other custom top-of-the-line street bikes didn’t quite put him at par with his buddy Tom Cruise.  Shortly after,  his personal staff  informed then-Captain Flag Service Organization Debbie Cook that the FSO crew were expected to foot the bill approaching $100,000 for a custom-hand-made, over-the-top motorcycle, called the Vyrus. Debbie protested the order recognizing that the forced collections of substantial portions of Flag staff’s meager $50 per week pay over several weeks leading up to Miscavige’s birthday and Chistmas each year to buy outlandish gifts from FSO to Miscavige was a morale breaker among the staff.  Debbie was informed in no uncertain terms that Debbie did not have a say in the matter.  And so for several weeks all FSO staff were required to cough up money from their $50 until the Vyrus ultimate motorcycle was paid for.

The David Miscavige Vyrus is simply one, relatively small symptom of the David Miscavige Virus.  The David Miscavige Virus is the reverse Scientology justified think that the acquisition of  ever lovelier forms of Matter, Energy, Space and Time is an honorable goal.  Of course, those who are not infected understand that the Miscavige Virus leads toward death and states far below and far more ugly than death.

The David Miscavige Virus is pernicious and thus difficult to detect in oneself.  It is exacerbated by continuing to support the source of turning the road to freedom into the road to entrapment.  The remedy though is simplicity itself.  Find Out Who You Really Are, at which point an individual will come into valence.  A creepy synthetic identity will immediately blow, along with the impulses toward solidity that accompany it.

Good Health!

Journalists Beware of Scientology Inc Spy

Jason Beghe phoned me to catch up with hurricane aftermath news. He told me that shortly after the New Yorker story ran a John Connolly, who represents himself as a Vanity Fair regular contributor, phoned Jason.  Connolly tried to pump Jason for anything he knew about the New Yorker’s investigation.  A covert investigation of the author Lawrence Wright.  While doing so Connolly attempted to drive a wedge between Jason on the one side and Mike Rinder and I on the other.  Since Jason didn’t just fall off the turnip truck Connolly did, hard.

John Connolly has been a Church of Scientology Office of Special Affairs informant for nearly two decades.  He has infiltrated several journalists doing stories on Scientology during that time, posing as a like-minded investigative journalist working on a Scientology story.  Journalists have apparently either not compared notes, or simply not noticed that Connolly hasn’t delivered on a Scientology story in the twenty years he says he’s been working on one.  Connolly was originally recruited by Eugene Martin Ingram.

Here is an excerpt from a document authored by then-DCO External OSA INT (currently CO OSA INT – and at all times since the early eighties to the present Intelligence Chief OSA Int effectively) Linda Hamel.  The document is dated, coincidentally, 14 February 2006 – five years ago, today.   It reports on Connolly’s spy work against the author of the unauthorized biography of Tom Cruise, UK journalist Andrew Morton.

Welcome to the sunlight John Connolly.

14 Feb 2006

Connolly was here in LA working on the Pellicano story and contacted Morton and met with him on the basis of gaining his cooperation to be interviewed for an article for Vanity Fair about the books Morton has done on celebrities including the one he is writing on Tom Cruise. Connolly wanted to see what Morton was like and get any information about where Morton is currently at with regard to writing the book and to see if Morton would agree to be interviewed for an article. Based on the meeting, Connolly said that Morton seems to have finished his research already and is busy writing the book.

Connolly told Morton that it would not be a puff piece and would show both sides including what would be said about Morton. (Connolly will use the article to  investigate Morton’s past treatment of other celebrities, use of sleazy sources, etc. that would undermine Morton’s credibility). Morton said he would check with St. Martin’s Press to get their take on cooperating for the story. Morton seems to be interested in generating publicity for the book.

Connolly’s impression of Morton is that he is a serious writer and is a focused person but enjoyable to talk to. He knows how to use his charm to get people to talk. Morton also told him that it only took him five weeks to write the Monica Lewinsky book – so he is capable of churning out a lot in a short period of time.

Morton said that he thought that Tom Cruise was a good story and that is why he wanted to write the book. The reporter got the impression from talking with Morton that Morton has collected a lot of information about the Church and that this will be well covered in the book. Morton also mentioned that he has an assistant who is working for him.

Morton also said that he had met Paul Barresi a couple of times but did not go into the details of what Barresi said.

Connolly’s impression is that Morton is a formidable adversary who is not going to back down. He thinks that Morton has made up his mind already as to the angle of the book but did not specifically say what it was.

Morton mentioned that he had received a nasty letter from Bert Fields – he didn’t have any further comment about this.

Morton asked if Anthony Pelicano ever worked for the client (the Church). Connolly, who is an expert on Pelicano said “no” and he doesn’t think that Tom Cruise has ever met Pelicano. Connolly will be getting back to Morton to see what St. Martin’s Press says. He has been given background documents that we have on Morton and on Barresi who we know that Morton has been using.

This UK reporter that we have a line to has helped get information out about Morton hiring Paul Barresi. He is willing to continue to feed information and documents to the UK tabloids to discredit Morton. He made a proposal that he could rapidly write a pre-emptive positive book about Mr. Cruise, which he thought would undermine the one from St. Martin’s Press. However, when this idea of a pre-emptive book was checked with Tommy Davis, it was not something that he felt Mr. Cruise would want.

This UK reporter will continue to be used for feeding information and stories to the UK tabloids about Morton. There is a rumor about Morton no longer being with his UK publisher Michael O’Mara which will be checked into to see if there was a conflict or a falling out. This could possibly be another attack point on Morton if it is found that there was a falling out.

In the US Connolly, wants to do an investigative story and put a piece together on Morton and his use of sleazy sources in the books he has done about celebrities such as Madonna, the Beckhams and Tom Cruise. This would attack Morton on his reputation questioning the credibility of his sources.
