A Talk To OSA Staff

This is a direct appeal to reason addressed to each and every OSA (Office of Special Affairs) staff member:

TRANSCRIPT:

TRANSCRIPT:

Greetings to OSA Staff and Executives,

This is a briefing specifically for you.

I’ve had a little bit of time to start piecing together the magnitude of the operation you’ve had down here on Ingleside on the Bay concerning my wife and myself. It’s beginning to get a price tag that makes the Broeker affair look like a walk in the park by comparison.

I couldn’t help but think about you guys as I was crunching the numbers as I was counting the cameras and counting the numbers of PIs. As you probably know, I don’t really put a lot of attention on it. I don’t really care too much about your prying eyes. I don’t even attempt to evade your people because I know you got so many of them down here, it’s a waste of time anyway. And there’s nothing to hide here, more importantly.
Sometimes you really got to step back and ask yourself: Is all this worth it?

Every once in a while it makes a lot of sense to step back and review the bidding before you just blow all your chips. You guys are doing a magnificent job of carrying out Command Intention and that’s for sure. Because I know Dave, he’s got a prurient interest in Everything Marty.

But you know, step back for a second and ask yourselves: “Why?” and “To what end?”

Is he improving the situation? Am I becoming less influential? Am I becoming less effective? If you answered that “yes”, then you’re either smoking dope, or you are in some kind of parallel universe that really borders on psychosis. Because I am flourishing and prospering. We are flourishing and prospering. And the Scientology independent movement is flourishing and prospering. Take a step back and look at what the net effect of all the millions you’re spending trying to stop me is doing. What is it really doing for Scientology? Think about that.

This is not a personal plea about me personally, this is a bigger thing. This is a third and fourth dynamic argumentation. Think about who is doing more for the third and fourth dynamic. You and your PIs under the orders of David Miscavige, or me? Just think about it. Think about it before you go to bed, think about it when you have any private moments. Or try not to think about it. [smile] Now, when you do that thinking and if you come to your senses and realize what’s going on, let me tell you something.

Do you remember when Daniel Montalvo took off with the harddrives, and you all went down to the sheriff’s department and Rick Moxon went in there and tried to make a case because I had posted an encouragement to people on the inside to take documentary evidence outside with them as they exit? Remember what happened with that? Absolutely nothing.

Do you want to know why? Because what I said is true. And it’s doubly true for you guys. And it’s triply true for you guys with respect to me. And that is this. Let me spell it out to you.

There are ongoing criminal investigations into your boss David Miscavige. There are ongoing civil matters that are in courts concerning David Miscavige and the Church. And there are a number of legal actions in the process of being prepared concerning David Miscavige and the Church.

YOU are in possession of and are creating on a daily basis evidence of an ongoing criminal conspiracy that’s of relevance to all of these matters. And therefore being evidence of ongoing criminal conspiracies, YOU are not only privileged to, you have a DUTY to gather up all the evidence that you can find that has to do with the operations that you’ve been doing to try to silence and trying to crush and trying to stop me and others around me, you are under a DUTY to gather all that evidence and get it off the premises and into my hands, so that I may finish my work unobstructed. Okay?

Now, the reference here for you is “LRH Talk to WW Ethics Officers”. Remember that one? I put it into all OSA Hats, so you pretty much ought to know it. What is the first thing that the Ethics Officer looks for: Who is trying to stop the Ethics Officer?

Guess what? It’s Your BOSS. Okay?

Get the reports. Get the evidence. Get them to me. And I will guarantee you this. I will guarantee you this. You will absolutely have complete immunity and complete protection of any type of liability. I am telling you right now I am guaranteeing you that protection and I am guaranteeing you that ability, which will be an incredibly important thing for you because it will help you to make good on what you’ve been doing to stop Scientology by forwarding Miscavige’s plans.

So take it from an old vet. The best thing you can do for yourself spiritually and for the group Scientology is to get the evidence. Alright? There’s file cabinets full of it. And there’s disks full of it. Get the evidence copied, and get it out, and get it right here Casablanca Tejas. You all know the address. As a matter of fact, you got a camera on me right now.

Bring it here. Absolute immunity. Instant Ethics Protection. And essentially a cleared ethics file and a clean slate.

Now doesn’t that sound a little more appealing than the crazy thought-stopping hell that you live in?

See you soon.

David Miscavige – Paranoia and Cowardice

Please pass along to all Kool Aid drinkers you might still have on your email lists.  Here is hard, current evidence as to how their donations are being spent by Scientology Inc. supreme ruler David Miscavige.

Robillards Declare Independence

Hello,
My name is Pierre Robillard, and I’ve been a scientologist since
1968. I was on staff from 1969-1993, with the exception of three years
in the mid eighties, holding mainly key posts like ED and OES.

Pierre

I joined staff in Toronto in 1969. My first post was CF I/C. I also
held the posts of test evaluator, basic courses supervisor, FBO, Class IV
intern and intern super. In july 1974, I was parachuted to Montreal and
held the ED MTL post until 1978. I went back to Toronto to do AG training.
(predecessor of OSA), acted as AG Toronto, went back to Montreal in 1980 as
AG MTL and ended up from 81 to 83 as OES/Senior C/S. Then there were turbulent times and I ended up as ED kitchener in 1984. I wanted to go back to Montreal. It was refused so I routed off. In 1985, the MTL org was doing very badly and OSA asked me to help as the Investigation officer. In 1988, I re-signed
my contract, did the OT levels up to OT 111 and spent the next 5 years as OES
and cumulating the C/S post off and on.

TRAINING

I’m a graduate class 1V auditor, NED auditor; I did at Flag the C/S series
in clay and I’m a fully trained Intern super. I was also fully trained in 1971
in LA as an FBO. There’s an amusing story on this subject. While I was interning
in one of the SO buildings, I was agressed (my shirt ripped) by a man named
Wendall Reynolds. I got so mad that they had to call an HCO bring order on me.
Finally, my FBO org officer, Pat Broeker sent me to apologize to Reynolds.

After I finished my last staff contract july 1993, I eventually ended up C/sing
in the field, my plan was to C/S at night, send money to Saint-Hill for the
briefing course and eventually phase out of my wog job. Well, GAT  came upon us.
I submitted a plan to continue C/Sing and go train on GAT at Saint-Hill a month
a year. This was refused. I was not enthused by this situation. I was losing
my right to C/S, my past production was invalidated for what? added drills.

EXPANSION 1

I’ve been fortunate to work twice in a booming org. The first time was
in Toronto, early seventies. As I wore, at different times, various posts, I was
able to get a concept of a productive org. I worked in div 6 and was part on
occasion of the book unit. The org sold at times more than 500 DMSMH books
a week. I was not the best book seller but it did raise my confront ( plus
as a bonus that’s where I met my wife to be, Heather. I was the FBO toronto in
1972 when Ron sent a telex validating Boston org and Toronto org for financially
supporting the INT Management. As an auditor doing my internship in the HGC, I was part of a team auditing 400 hours or more of WDAHs a week (by the way, the HGC was located on top of an old funeral parlor’s garage and the cabins were made of cheap styrofoam). In 1974, I became the Intern Super and I was part of a huge qual that included 2 word clearers, 2 cram offs , a qual receptionist, staff staff auditors, staff staff C/S etc. There was more than 100 people on staff.
The hatting was very important. Besides my FBO training, I was fully hatted
as a div 6 personnel, fully hatted as an intern super. The org had OEC/FEBCs
trained on the flag ship. Part of the success can be attributed to the great
basic courses, especially the HQS course.

Heather

EXPANSION 2

It was in 1980, when I was privy to a boom. I was still AG MTL when the
ED MTL, Marc Vidril came to see me. There was a DMSMH Radio Ads programs
originating from L.A. and the ED wanted to implant it in Montreal. By this time
I was the OES again. The Org had no money to pay for it. I got my friend
Jacques Emond to organize and gather funds from the org public. They found
french speaking scientologists in L.A. to translate and perform the ads and
voila. The ads started in Montreal. Very soon we were selling more than 200
DMSMH books a week. Book One groups were being established everywhere.
The Survival rundown was being delivered, and like the HQS in 72, was making
hatted scientologists, and consequently a lot of staff. The org had more than
100 staff members, 20 people in the Tech Training Corps WDHs reached 400 a week.  PD comps was in affluence and GI reached $40,000  And most of all, there was a buzz in and around the org.

MANAGEMENT

Of course, being a staff member in a Class V org, especially if you’re
full time, was never easy. Also, there always been a reality gap between
management and class V org, especially if there is a language barrier
or one doesn’t robotically obey to orders. For that reason in 1976, folo east US
wanted me out as the ED. They recruited a heavy druggie to replace me. I
persuaded FOLO to send my wife instead as my replacement.
She did the PRO TRS and The ED Hat at Flag and eventually replaced me.

MORE MANAGEMENT

My observation is that it got much harder to be a causative staff past
1982 (by 1982 Ron was no longer on the lines and New management had taken over) I described above how Montreal Org was booming early eighties. There were many management attacks to undermine it. For instance, a Mr Woodruff, Sea Org member started an off the rail Flag regging unit. They would reg MTL public for any services. One of the Unit members told me that the public should get a taste
of Flag. Eventually, it was dismantled and a few Unit members were declared SP.
But the damage was done.

SECOND ATTACK

The second attack and the most vicious was an attempt to squash all the
veteran staff members. Lots of them ,including my wife, Heather Robillard, did
not re-sign. I re-signed march 1983 and took over the HES MTL post and had in a
month the GI stat in affluence ( around $40,000) but I was sent to Toronto and
FLag as I was deemed a criminal because I had worked in the GO. I was given many SRAs ( severe reality adjustment), many sec-checks and repeatly told
that I did not follow command intention. I ended up in 1984 in Kitchener
as the ED KIT (which was an illegal posting). The Management did not want me
back in Motreal because “I would sabotage the command intention”. I routed off
and tended to my dying mother. What was bound to happen, happened: Montreal Org  crashed in 1985. There were heavy entheta articles in newspapers, with front
pages photos of masked ex-scientologists. My friend Jacques Emond and myself
were recruited to help. I ended up in charge of the OSA Investigative section
as a volunteer (an ironic situation as 2 years before I had been labelled a
criminal because I had been in the GO). For nearly 2 years we ( jacques and I)
worked  really hard, setting up all the various files, helping in the handling
of the many refunds claims (the Sea Org reserves paid them). Eventually,
OSA INT realized we were not staff members and tried to recruit us,to no avail.
And that was the end of that chapter.

FRIENDS

I lost 3 good friends in Scientology because I sided with management.
Zoltan Rona was a long time tennis buddy and I had him come to Toronto early
seventies to do a few scientology courses. By early eighty, he was OT V.
His wife Sharon was a CC Toronto staff member. One day, he told me about a
big meeting at Flag with Mission holders and Management. He sided with the
mission holders.Unfortunately, Management had already published ethics orders
on Mayo and squirreling missions( like the ding-a ling process). I sincerely
thought that LRH was in agreement with this handling so I wrote a disconnection
letter to Zoltan. I wish I had known the truth.

I first met Jacques Emond mid 75 as he joined staff. I mentioned before
that he was a key factor in the ads campaign and that he helped me in OSA in 87.
We were good friends and he had been my confident on many occasions. When he
refused to join OSA MTl, Folo Can wrote a Public enemy condition on him. There
were other run-ins which led him up to ask for a repayment from Flag in 1998. He
got the repayment. I was then a public and I did not want to be involved in any
situation. So that was the end of our relationship.

Alfred Calver is a MTL Org public which I befriended mid seventies. As
a friend and a volunteer, he has been thoughout the years a very supportive
individual on many aspects including financial support. In 1989, Impact magazine
published a totally unreal and fallacious article about the Montreal Org.
Alfred took exception to this. He wrote KRS and he was subsequently attacked.
When Jacques got his repayment, Alfred (rightly) took his side and I did not
want to hear about it. So I wrote him an ultimatum letter which ended our
friendship.

SINCE 1993

Since 1993, my presence in the Montreal org has been limited. In 1994,
I went to help my selectee on the Metering course drills. The scene was very
chaotic, many execs would pass by and give their opinions, nobody completed
the course. In fact, students had to go to Quebec Org to complete. My selectee
was routed to the PTS course and never completed the metering course.
At one point, I was putting regularly money on my training A/C at Saint Hill
for the Briefing course but then a Saint Hill tech terminal, in a D of P
started to reg me for my materials , and stupidly, I let him transfer most of
my training A/C money to books and CDs.

IAS

In the last 20 years, I have not done much, disillusioned, thinking I was
too old (I’m 65). I disagreed to the extreme regging of IAS. Never attended
events. In 92-93 as OES I used to fight to stop my future Completions to be regged
till 3 am.. When IAS first started, the stress was saving Scientology from
being taken over by SPs. I believed it was true for a long time. In 1990, the stress
was on promotion and we were promised many campaigns which never came true. Now, its a barrage of programs around the world that will supposedly clear
the planet. Every day, I get magazines like Scientology news, impacts etc that
claim to show we are winning. But in real life, its the opposite. Read the news,
the web, talk to people, 99.9 % of the news about Scientology is bad.  There
used to be purif centers around Montreal.. No more. There used to be a Narconon
in Three Rivers, Quebec. No more. .

IDEAL ORG

There used to be an attempt to get the orgs Saint-Hill sized and get the
staff audited. Now its The Ideal Org program which totally misrepresents the
essence of the policy and violates basic finance policies like the Building
Fund P/l. The future Montreal Org is a gutted building bought 5 years ago by
local scientologists. There was times when The Sea Org Reserves paid for
buildings. In 1979, I was the AG Tor and the Sea Org sent an order to buy a
building. Brian Mcpherson was in charge of finding a building. As the AG Tor, I
dealt with the org lawyer for all the paperwork. I dealt with the Toronto Fire
Chief on the various building codes. I am the one who received the $ 1.9 million
for the Diamond building (actual location of the Toronto org). I also received
money for the renovation. Part of the plan was to continue to sublet more than
half of the building to various companies and to eventually increase the org
space if there was expansion.

CURRENT TECHNOLOGY

Since 1993, I mostly worked in the wog world, did a few basic courses,
attended some events (no IAS events and one Ideal Org building event). I mostly
wrote music, played tennis and spent a lot of time on my second dynamic.
( I am a great-grand father). In January 2012, I came upon a message sent to
Scientologists. It was written by Debbie Cook. I read it. It made sense. From
this point, I embarked on an intensive study of Scientology materials. Then I read the website www.friendsoflrh.org which compares what LRH says to what COB says. I came to the conclusion that the current teachings have deviated from the
original materials written by LRH.

LOW PRODUCTION

It would not be so bad if there was any production: auditors made and
preclears going up the grades. None of that. There has not been an auditor made
in Montreal since 1995 (advent of GAT). The auditors made came mostly from Flag, the others were already auditors and did GAT. One hears more about the different levels achieved as an IAS member than anything else. Public complete some Basics Book courses. But that’s not auditors. If one looks at the results of Quebec Org (recent Ideal Org),their web site shows mostly Basics Book Course completions.

De-PTSing

Researching HCOBs and studying the Church’s history especially since 1982,
has been beneficial to my physical and mental health. It has allowed me to get
a proper perspective on my staff timetrack, actually de-ptsing me. I understood
why , even after I had attained OT 111 in 89, I did not perform as well
on staff in my last contract because of the remaining by-passed charge in the
eighties.  It also got me a better reality of the plight of the SO executives
stuck in the HOLE.

REHABILITATION OF WINS

It also rekindled the various wins I had as a PC, a Tech Terminal and a
staff member. In 1972, the auditing on Exchange by dynamics opened up my
viewpoint and the same year, I got married and became ED Montreal. Also in 72.
I received a confessional that freed me of a whole chunk of shameful thoughts.
The same year, I got audited on a heavy dianetics incident, which blew away
and had me floating  in the clouds (this incident, rehabbed in 1979, validated
me as Clear. The last one was on OT 11. the auditing itself was exciting
because it was totally new to me. And then unexpectedly, a tremendous mass
blowing and a brand new world opening. Despite various difficulties, I overall
had a splendid time on this planet earth.

MY DECISION

And to have an even better life, I hereby make the following decision: I
must leave the C of S and join the Independants. The future is not totally
certain especially on the training side. But,from what I perceived from the
LRH policy I read and the Indie 500 website, the intention to follow Ron’s way
is certainly on the independants side. My wife Heather, plus a few others
are leaving with me.She started in 1963 in London England,She was one of
the best Class V orgs reg’s, was flag trained as an ED. She’s also been
a great wife, mother and a wonderful terminal as a staff member.

Secret Scientology Inc. Surveillance Photos

Newsflash.

Yesterday, right in time to prepare for some high-class visitors to Casablanca,  none other than the fearsome Headley family, David Miscavige had a make over done of the surveillance outpost he operated on my block for the past two years.  Here is the story on the outpost for those who missed it, Casablanca Surveillance Outpost.

Now, the back window facing my house, from which the three high-powered Scientology Inc cameras trained on our home are positioned, was just done over.  By cover of darkness a team of Scientology Inc. plumbers took the tape blocking the camera holes off, resurfaced the window with one way reflective film, and posted a ‘no trespassing’ sign ON THE WINDOW to prevent any more tampering with their view:

Well, it just so happens that one of our high-powered guests is a computer genius.  He was able to intercept the still image feeds that David Miscavige receives from the surveillance outpost 24/7/365.   Please see below the SECRET fruits of the over-the-top surveillance system Miscavige has installed with millions of dollars of hard-earned Scientology parishioner donation dollars.

Martin Padfield

Martin Padfield was one of the first to declare independence from Scientology Inc way back in 2009.   Miscavige has yet to silence him despite plenty effort.   Martin was profiled today in the London Evening Standard.

Tony Ortega’s Review

Many have speculated just how far Tom Cruise has gone into the Scientology Inc. bedlam created by his best man David Miscavige.   The book The Scientology Reformation answers that question rather definitively, now available in Kindle e-book format.

Excerpt from Chapter 8:  The Gates Of Hell

…Miscavige’s reaction to my escape was chilling. He ordered John Brousseau, his resident handyman – and the architect of most of the Tom Cruise vehicle and home upgrades – to install prison bars on all windows in the Hole so that no one else could escape.

With me out of the way, Miscavige’s madness was unbridled. He began to tell Tom Cruise tales of having to physically beat the degraded beings in his environment to keep them in line. Cruise followed suit, doing the same to his own staff. Michael Doven, his long-time personal assistant, started receiving regular physical abuse from Tom. Another of Tom’s staff – a woman – was grabbed and slammed up against a file cabinet by Cruise for failing to show him proper respect. He railed and screamed, like Miscavige, when he discovered a near-microscopic chip in a drinking glass handed to him by one of his staff. He was convinced the degraded beings were steadily sabotaging him, stalking him like the zombies from Night of the Living Dead. Tom even physically abused the one-time international spokesperson for Scientology, one Tommy Davis.

Miscavige was happy to have Tom ape his own psychotic behavior. He once briefed the inhabitants of the Hole that Tom was fully informed of their conspiracies to destroy Miscavige.  He told the assembled that Tom promised to come to the Hole to give Yager, Ray Mithoff (the highest scriptural authority in Scientology) and the former executor of Mr. Hubbard’s will, Norman Starkey, black eyes if their confessions were not to Dave’s liking. In order to prevent the world’s biggest star from having to do Dave’s dirty work, the leadership within the Hole decided they had better do it first. The eighty staff went into a frenzy of punching and kicking the trio, fattening the lips and blackening the eyes of all three.

By mid-to-late 2004 Tom was so locked in to Miscavige’s spell he was incapable of comfortable socialization with the outside world, at least on an intimate basis. He asked his best friend Dave to help him find a good-looking Scientologist wife, so he would not wind up with another degraded being like his previous two wives…

…During this same trip, Nazanin (the Miscavige chosen Scientologist wife-to-be for Cruise, Nazanin Boniadi) apparently “disrespected” Miscavige in front of Cruise, by seeking to clarify his trademark staccato comments a couple of times. This prompted Cruise to begin showing Nazanin his ugly, “big-being” side.

Tom took her into his home office to give her a “reality adjustment” in front of Tommy Davis, who remained quiet the entire time.

Sitting across from Tom at a wide table – like an employee set down for a tongue-lashing from the boss – Nazanin could hardly believe what she was hearing.

Tom looked at her like a frustrated, overworked executive, let down by a degraded-being underling.

Then he gave her the intense, laser-focus stare.

“You don’t get it. It goes like this,” Tom explained.

He raised his hand above his head, palm downward. “First, there is LRH.”

Moving his hand down a couple of inches, he continued: “Then there is COB (David Miscavige).”

He brought his hand down to his own hairline, highlighting the intensity and seriousness of his words:  “Then there is me.”

Nazanin looked at him stoically, hiding her shock at Cruise’s performance of his best Jack Torrance – the psychotic killer played by Jack Nicholson in the film The Shining.

“Dave and me, we’re big beings. We are surrounded by DB’s (degraded beings). DBs can’t help but try to destroy big beings. That’s just the way it is in this universe. You have to understand this. This is LRH, man. It’s the plight of the big being getting jumped on by all the degraded beings. You gotta be unreasonable to survive around a big being like me. You can’t be weak. You gotta be strong to protect the big being from all the degraded beings.” Cruise slammed his fist on the table, veins popping out of his neck from the intensity of his tirade…

Chapter Four

Selling of Indulgences

Callous greed grows pious very fast.

                                 – Lillian Hellman

Four hundred and ninety-five years ago Martin Luther sparked the Protestant Reformation with one seemingly innocent act. He posted what would be called his 95 Theses on the door of the Catholic church in Wittenberg, Germany for purposes of discussion. The 95 Theses were an enumerated list of abuses by the Vatican, carried out at the direction of the “infallible” pope. While many abuses were covered, the ones at first most focused upon were those connected with the practice of selling indulgences.  The idea of buying one’s way to salvation, to Luther, was the most hideous single desecration of Christ.

And here is where our reflections on history come into play with respect to Scientology. Over the past couple of decades, we find much the same culture has taken hold in the church of Scientology (hereinafter referred to as Scientology Inc. or corporate Scientology). Organized Scientology’s extensive ethics and justice apparatuses have been corrupted toward precisely the same end. Knowing history, and the potential corrupting influence of money, founder L. Ron Hubbard expressly forbade the payment of money to absolve any wrongdoing by a Scientologist. In his Policy Letter of 1 May, 1965, entitled Staff Member Reports, he stated, “A donation or fine would not be acceptable amends.”

Yet today, Scientology Inc. officers empowered to administer ethics and justice in Scientology organizations across the world routinely do, as a matter of operating policy, accept monetary donations as acceptable amends. In fact they not only accept such donations, they demand them. There is no civil or ecclesiastical crime within Scientology Inc. that cannot be forgiven and forgotten for a price.  Status among Scientologists is now measured by how much money they are able to fork over to the church.  In essence, the worth of a person is gauged by his or her wealth.   You can test this by attempting to sit in the first couple of rows at your next major Scientology Inc. event.   If you have not paid tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars to the International Association of Scientologists (IAS) you will be out of luck.  It does not matter how many books you have sold to the public, how many people you have introduced to Scientology, or how many hours you have audited.  Compare this state of affairs to L. Ron Hubbard’s view about measuring the worth of a person:

A bank account never measured the worth of a man. His ability to help measured his worth and that’s all.

–          The Genus of Dianetics and Scientology, 31 December 1960

In the light of Ron’s views, how could such a culture arise where the value of an individual is measured by the size of his material holdings?

It did not happen overnight. It took decades after Ron’s death to institute a culture of worship to the almighty buck.   It required getting the opinion leaders in the Scientology community on board with the idea that wealth is of paramount importance.  It required the steady, increasing validation and rewarding of the anti-virtue of greed.

It began in the 1980s shortly after the passing away of L. Ron Hubbard.   And it started with the family that has subsequently been promoted into unofficial royalty in the Scientology community, the Feshbach brothers, Joe, Matt and Kurt. The three were infamous stock market short-sell specialists during the era when glorification of greed was hip in America. “Short-selling” is betting, via the stock market, that a company will fail, and then profiting handsomely when it does. As the Feshbachs’ fortunes, amassed during the late ’80s, became almost legendary, the post-LRH pope of Scientology, David Miscavige did two things to wed Scientology with them.

First, Miscavige directed that the Feshbachs’ success in making money for nothing, and even assisting in the downfall of American businesses, become the primary publicized “success” story for Scientology.   For years, Scientology Inc.’s marketing and public-relations units tirelessly churned out advertising, press releases and publications connecting the Feshbachs’ success to their involvement in Scientology.

Second, Miscavige invested his own money with the Feshbachs – money the Feshbachs dutifully and not-so-honestly converted into hundreds of thousands of dollars for Miscavige. Miscavige cleverly influenced several high-level members of the Scientology hierarchy to do the same, so as to avoid any internal flack over his corrupt activities. The people so corrupted included the then-Inspector General of the church (Greg Wilhere, whose first duty was to stamp out any such unethical dealings), the church’s highest scriptural authority (Ray Mithoff, at the time the Inspector General for Technology, and now Senior Case Supervisor International), and international Scientology’s highest-level manager (Watchdog Committee Chairman, Marc Yager).

In order to impress and bond with his then-newly-recruited Scientologist superstar, Tom Cruise, Miscavige encouraged him to also invest with the quick-buck brothers. With the highest officers of the hierarchy and Scientology’s most bankable star all investing with the Feshbachs, many lesser names in Scientology followed suit…

Chapter Eight

The Gates of Hell

Hell has three gates: lust, anger and greed.

                                – The Baghavad Gita

Some still caught in the throes of denial may be saying to themselves, “But still, to compare Miscavige to Pope Leo X? After all, Miscavige isn’t having naked little boys jump out of his birthday cake!”

If you harbored such a thought, you would be correct on one score. We have no reports of naked little boys jumping out of birthday cakes for David Miscavige. But, fact being sometimes far stranger than fiction, we have reports of far more degraded, cruel and outlandish depredations, regularly practiced by Miscavige on Scientology parishioners’ dimes and dollars.

Around 2002, already a narcissistic personality, David Miscavige went beyond the point of no return. After I had spent more than two years recovering Tom Cruise to the Scientology Bridge, auditing him for dozens of hours, indoctrinating his children to choose him over their mother (his former wife), auditing and guiding him through the entirety of OT V, OT VI, and onto OT VII (three of the highest levels of Scientology spiritual advancement), Miscavige became impatient. He wanted Tom’s affections and would stop at nothing to receive them.

Miscavige forbade me from letting Tom get on with his life as a free Scientologist.   Until such time as Tom “connected back up” with David Miscavige as a personal, cloying friend, I would be assigned to Tom Cruise full time. I was prohibited from telling Tom to call Dave; Tom had to come to the realization on his own that Dave deserved his gratitude and close friendship. Many of my after-session encounters with Tom ended up with this type of colloquy, with me attempting to steer him toward Miscavige:

Tom would say, “God Marty, thanks, you saved my life.”

“Don’t thank me. Thank Dave. He was the one that put me onto this full time. For me, auditing is fun. He is the one that has to handle all the rough parts of my post while I’m here with you.”

“Yeah, I’m gonna have to call him one day.”

After many such conversations, Cruise finally asked me for Dave’s number. He called Miscavige and was invited to the 500-acre Scientology headquarters near Hemet, California. The entire several-hundred-person headquarters crew was called into action to prepare. Every square inch of the property, inside and out, was cleaned, spic and span, to military white-glove standards. Exotic foods were flown in from around the country to satisfy the five-star, around-the-clock service Tom would receive, all compliments of Dave.

Cruise became a regular visitor, put up in the special multi-million-dollar L. Ron Hubbard guest house.  Miscavige lavished Cruise with praise, gifts and slave-labor services of every imaginable kind, all clearly compliments of Dave. Miscavige began regularly visiting the Cruise home in Beverly Hills. While there, noticing upgrades that could be made, Miscavige dispatched slave-wage Sea Org craftsmen to execute modifications to Tom’s home, all designed to bedazzle him. Tom’s personal bus was upgraded, as was his personal SUV.

Miscavige plied Cruise with bizarre, but apparently believable (at least to Cruise), world-views, allegedly supported by his hidden, insider, unwritten knowledge of L. Ron Hubbard. Miscavige convinced Cruise that he and Tom were two of only a handful of truly “big beings” on the planet.  He instructed Cruise that LRH was relying upon them to unite with the few others of their ilk on earth to make it on to “Target Two” – some unspecified galactic locale where they would meet up with Hubbard in the afterlife. Miscavige cleverly tailored the myths to parallel Tom’s ego, which already had him half believing he really was the superhero he portrayed in the movies and in his public life. Miscavige informed Cruise that Hubbard considered most of the inhabitants of Earth to be “degraded beings.” He created an inside-secrets-of-the-universe world for Tom, which was sort of an Ayn-Rand-on-steroids, social-Darwinism construct of the few lonely, strong beings, held down by the pathetic weaklings who were crippled by such degraded notions as compassion and sympathy.  Degraded beings gravitated toward, clung to, and parasitized the minority big beings. Most big beings, because they were unaware of Hubbard’s technology, ultimately were dragged down to the level of the riff-raff degraded beings. But Tom and Dave, being intelligent and perceptive enough to recognize Scientology as the only road to total freedom, were in a league of their own. High above the rest of the lonely minority of big beings on the planet. Tom took to Miscavige’s mythology like a hungry dog to a bone.  He became increasingly zealous, and more and more loyal to David Miscavige.

Miscavige was transformed. He had achieved the cherry on the cake of the man who had everything. He now had the undying loyalty of the world’s biggest movie star. He relished living the high life, traveling only in Cruise’s private jet, attending world premieres as the guru to America’s biggest star. Miscavige’s mythology was so effective in controlling Cruise, and Tom’s return of validation back to Dave for being his big-being mentor were so gratifying that Miscavige began believing his own creation.

As much as Miscavige’s head swelled in the Tom Cruise inner circle, he became more and more detached and individuated from the Sea Org members of international management who had built the empire he was profiting from. They slaved on in squalid communal quarters, working long hours with no time off and next to no pay. That was not good enough for Miscavige, though. Apparently, he needed to prove his own degraded-being mythology to himself. Miscavige needed to prove to himself that the world view he had painted to lure in Tom Cruise was truth. He set out to prove just how pervasive the degraded-being phenomena was. And he set out to make those surrounding him as degraded and dangerous to a big being as were those he’d described while explaining “the facts of life” to Tom…

Scientology Inc – Operation Censorship

If you really want to understand what it is like defying Scientology Inc. oppression, you need to reach back in history for data of comparable magnitude.   That is because there is no other organization in the age of information that acts quite like Scientology Inc.   The institution is an anachronism.   You would need to look for examples from Cold War CIA, KGB, and STASI (East German state security  intelligence agency) to really get the picture. In the past I have recommended an award-winning movie to people who really want to understand and get a  feel for the experience.  It is called The Lives of Others.  You can order the movie through netflix.   Given current events, it is more relevant than ever.  Here is a trailer:

Compare the trailer, and the movie when you get the chance, to recent events posted on this blog.   To make the parallel even more fitting, one should consider what I am consistently doing between sessions, blogging, dealing with incoming harassment and running an underground railroad.  That is, that which David Miscavige is attempting to derail more than any of that. I am writing books about Scientology.  During the entire spy catching incident playing out in my sleepy town over the past two weeks,  I was reviewing proofs of a new book I am publishing in the next week.  The book may be the definitive piece on ‘What Your Donations to Scientology Inc Buy’.  What those fees buy couldn’t be more at odds with what Scientologists are led to believe that they buy.  Recent events speak to the credibility of what you will read when the book is available.   The magnitude of efforts to silence me speak to the importance of the information I am working on conveying in a meaningful and long lasting context.

Here is what one of the few people who have had a chance to read an advance copy of the book has to say about it:

Marty Rathbun is uniquely qualified to write this book.  He is a rascal, a rogue and a mensch. He is an insider with an exterior point of view.  He is a fine writer and a student of history with a perspective that lends value to his accounting of things that should be of interest to anyone who was ever trapped in a mindset. I found this book absorbing and unsettling and revealing and a little astonishing, and the time reading it well spent.

Clearly, Miscavige does not like absorbing, unsettling and especially does not like revealing.  But, his continuing STASI-like conduct only exacerbates and accentuates the truth of it.

The Rest of the Story – Scientology Inc. Spies

reference:  Busted!  Scientology Spies in South Texas

In the third week of September a documentary film crew arrived at our home for a ten day stint.   The crew wanted to know all about Operations of David Miscavige’s Scientology Inc. carried out against Monique and me.   I told them there had been no overt harassment to speak of  going on around here since Nov 2, 2011 when the Miscavige Squirrels left town.  There was only a deep-cover, constant surveillance operation.

They pressed for particulars on the surveillance apparatus.  I told them I assumed there were at least three safe houses in our town that were devoted to surveillance.  I described how they would situate them so that they could alert tails in such a fashion that we could never spot a tail.   They asked whether I had any suspicions about any of the houses involved. I casually pointed to a green house situated catty-corner to ours, 201 Bayshore Drive, apparently abandoned for the two years we’ve lived in our current locale.  I noted small slits cut in the upstairs bedroom window blinds facing our home.  I told them that if I had the time I could likely blow the whole thing wide open, but with all the other forms of resistance that gets thrown our way, and the importance of our activity, I don’t have the time to investigate it.  So, we live with it.  I told them I wasn’t too interested in fooling with it because it was David Miscavige’s intent to distract me from the more important work we do day in and day out; that the intent of Miscavige’s productions was to get into the target’s head; and that the way to get into Miscavige’s head is not let him get into yours, or as Jason Beghe says “the way to handle bullying is to not be bullied.”

The crew was fascinated and began filming the green house with particular attention to the window.  That was 22 September.

The week before last the following scene was posted on my blog.  Pictured are Paul Marrick, Greg Arnold, Tony Ortega, and three members of the documentary film production crew preparing for a tour of Ingleside on the Bay (IOB).

The film crew recorded my drive through IOB with Paul and Greg narrating the two missions they conducted in the neighborhood in March 2009.  Their mission was to ‘case’ IOB in order to set up what Miscavige ordered to be a surveillance set up ‘ten times what we did for Broeker’, except this time on yours truly.   Greg and Paul were brought in because the PI tailing me up to that time was, in the words of Greg and Paul, an amateur.   He was not keeping David Miscavige sufficiently informed of every last action of my wife and me  and so Miscavige wanted the heavyweights to come set the scene straight.  The ‘amateur’, Monty Drake,  had been Scientology Inc.’s Texas PI since 1988.   In that year he worked on Rick and Vicki Aznaran (former Inspector General who was suing RTC) of Dallas.  During the nineties Drake was assigned to scour every last detail of Lisa McPherson’s life, the woman whose life David Miscavige cut short in 1995.   According the former Director of Special Affairs Scientology Dallas, Drake was also assigned to put the late-heretic Alan Walter to rest.

Arnold and Marrick described their recommendations, which included the purchase or lease of at least three (3) safe houses for surveillance of me and my wife – just as I had long-ago predicted to my wife and several days previous had estimated to the film crew.   Since that time we have moved to the other side of the town of 615 people.    But, Drake was assigned to take Paul and Greg’s recommendations and implement them for our new location.

I pointed out to Greg and Paul the suspicious circumstance in the home catty-corner to ours.  Here is a shot of the home from my living room.

201 Bayshore Drive

The back bedroom window facing our home – with the two blue splotches on it (from tape I have since applied to the window) had three cut outs in the closed blinds that looked as if they could be allowing cameras to surveil our home.

As we completed our IOB tour and were heading down Bayshore Drive to our home, I noticed a grey Crown Victoria backing out of the driveway of 201 Bayshore Drive.  As I pointed it out to the film crew and Arnold and Marrick, the car quickly reversed into forward and sped back into the home’s carport.   In the thirty seconds it took us to arrive at the home, the driver of the car had secreted himself within the house.

I dropped the crew and others off at my home.  The crew wired me up and provided me with a camera as I walked to 201 to confront the mystery visitor.  The car was gone.  I banged on the door for some time.   The home looked unlived in, and the door to the suspicious bedroom was closed shut.   On the way out, I noticed the grey crown victoria had been put into the garage.    So, the mystery visitor was inside, apparently hiding.

Law enforcement officials traced the plates on the car to one Fidel Garcia Jr., of  FNG Security, Corpus Christi and San Antonio. When I returned to my house, the grey crown victoria sped out of the garage and left IOB at at least 80 mph.  Since no human forms had been seen at that house for two years, we all concluded that the Film Crew’s interest and the appearance of Marrick and Arnold (accompanied by three lawyers, including Sugar Ray Jeffrey) must have caused David Miscavige to choke –  sending his PI in in the middle of the day to either attempt to clean out the house of equipment or adjust focuses on the cameras so that DM could make out the corps of media, lawyers and investigators who were congregating at my home.

The next day I caused Garcia to meet me in a coffee shop in downtown Corpus Christi.  When we met I told him that I knew what he was doing in the house on the corner across from mine. I told him about the people that he works for.  I let him know that I could handle what he had been doing but I that I thought that he ought to search his conscience about what he was putting my wife through.  Garcia, the 6′ 5″ sniveling coward denied knowledge of Scientology.  Instead he claimed to be working on a confidential project for Kiewit Offshore Services (largest San Pat county employer, constructs and repairs oil rigs).   He said it was a Security Department program that require a number of random investigators to come to the house in question periodically to take readings from a computer stationed there.  He denied that there were any cameras in the house.  I told Garcia that I would check on his story and if he was telling the truth, I would take him out to dinner and apologize for wasting his time; but that if I found he was lying he would take me out to dinner and sort out how he would make good with our family.  Garcia agreed.  The entire conversation was recorded by the documentary  film crew; I bet you’ll see substantial portions of it sometime around Spring or Summer next year.

I visited the head of security at Kiewit who told me that Mr. Garcia was lying through his teeth.  He was not employed by Kiewit and Kiewit had no operations whatsoever off their own plant premises.

In the meantime, I found out that the lessee of the home in question (201 Bayshore Drive) was one Monty Drake.

Mark Collette of the Corpus Christi Caller Times then phoned Fidel Garcia to confront him with his lies to me.  Garcia held to his Kiewit story.   Collette then called Monty Drake.  Drake denied any connection to Scientology, but did admit to ‘doing business’ at 201 Bayshore.

I then phoned Mr. Garcia to call in the promise he had made to me at the coffee shop several days before.

You can hear that conversation here:

Fidel Garcia Jr. 4 Oct 2012 conversation

I then phoned Monty Drake to give him an opportunity to make good for the crimes he had committed against my family.   Drake confirmed he had been at 201 for ‘longer’ than I had lived in my current home.

You can hear my discussion with Drake here:

Monty Drake conversation 4 Oct 2012

Drake hung up the phone while I was clarifying his admission that he had been at 201 Bayshore for longer than I had been in my current home.  I knew Drake was lying even about that.

In fact, Drake leased 201 Bayshore drive, the very same day that Monique and I moved into our current home.   November 1, 2010.   Drake knew that I was moving into my home a couple weeks before that date, because Scientology Inc. was surveilling me visiting our new home two weeks in advance when I was making improvements in preparation for our Nov 1 move in.

I also learned that shortly after the film documentary crew began taking overt interest in 201 Bayshore, 22 Sept, Drake re-signed a THREE YEAR lease on 201 Bayshore, more than a month before his current leased expired.  David Miscavige has committed to pay 1,500/month for the next three years to be next to me when he was alarmed that I might force him to leave me and my wife alone.   All told, in lease payments alone, Miscavige has committed to spending $90,000 in church of Scientology parishioner donations for 201 Bayshore Drive in IOB, 40% of which has already been spent.

Now, for the photos the Caller Times did not publish.   First, there was more than one video camera.   There are TWO, in addition to the still camera.

Third camera

Incidentally, the still camera’s telephoto lens appears to be about a foot and one half long.  As Monique put it, “strong enough to read the ingredients from the containers of the food we eat”, particularly since it is trained on our living room, dining room, and kitchen.

In addition to the three cameras, the Miscavige bedroom was outfitted with a desktop computer and a laptop computer on a desk with a chair.   All three cameras were connected by wiring to the computer set up.  Clearly, David Miscavige had it all set up so that he personally could watch my wife and me 24/7/365 from the comfort of his bunker near Hemet, California.
