Thank you 5,005 Times

We wish to personally thank all 5000 people who signed the petition to the White House to investigate the corruption and graft between the “church” of Scientology and the US Department of Justice.

I know there are dozens of people who went the extra mile by reaching out and educating other citizens prompting them to also sign the petition.   Double thanks to you all.

There are also five people who I know personally who went even further beyond the call of duty to educate the public in big ways to assure the petition made its targeted total.  If I omitted anyone who was involved on that level, please inform me.  Do not take this as an invalidation if you were at that level of involvement and I failed to mention you by name.  These are the folks I have been made aware of as deserving of special mention.

5.  Theo  Sismanides

4.  Sandy “Data Dir” Richards

3.  Steve “Thoughtful” Hall

2. Karry Campbell.

And the most effective connector and networker in the Independent field:

#1. Karen de la Carriere.

Again, thanks to everybody who signed.  You all are special.

Catch some z’s.   I’ve got some fireworks to share tomorrow.

Good Night.

UPDATE, Friday morning 21/10,by Steve Hall:

Marty — you and Karen de la Carierre especially deserves props, as does Graham Berry (signature #1) and our incredible ally, Ursula Caberta. I want to let everyone know that this entire accomplishment was a direct result of our trip to Germany (thanks to everyone who supported us on that project). After Marty and Mosey arranged to go there, Ursula quietly arranged for Graham to attend — to help heal some old wounds (the CoS went after him murderously and tried to destroy him in the late 1990s). As LRH said, “Problems end when communication begins” so we all got in comm. From communication came real friendships and the next thing you know, Graham came up with this bright idea for a petition. Karen (signature #4) helped phrase the wording of it — she and Graham spent two days working it over. The result was a magnificent petition that really listed out the Church’s crimes. But when Graham clicked “Submit” a dialog box opened saying that it was too long. Petitions were limited to 840 characters!

As everyone knows, the CoS is so loaded with crimes one could go on for tens of thousands of words and still only be scratching the surface. Alas, back to the drawing board went Graham and Karen, shortening and condensing it down to a pithy 840 characters.

Conferring with Karen on people who very much went the extra mile to push this along were the following names in addition to those already stated:

Emma of ESMB created a sticky to promote the petition on her forum for everyone to see.

The moderators of OCMB — Sponge and I’m Glib — also pushed it hard on their forum.

The decent activists in Anonymous who pitched right in and helped to push this along — they deserve acknowledgment.

Special acknowledgment to Greebly who brought enormous energy and attention to the petition.

Mark Bunker tweeted it and pushed the petition hard on all his lines and pushed it on his website Knowledge Report.

Old Auditor helped big time by really pushing it on his Possibly Helpful Advice website.

Terrill Parks promoted the petition on 100 different forums!

As the creator of Scientology-cult.com, I wanted to extend a heart-felt thank you to all. This cause brought together not only people who have been ruthlessly victimized by the “church” but also their friends and families. And more, it brought together thousands of people whom OSA and David Miscavige desperately want to divide and conquer: critics, Independents, ex-Scientologists, Freezoners, free thinkers, human rights activists, Anonymous, and all the hundreds of Scientologists under the radar who signed the petition anonymously.

Whatever It Takes

As we approach a tipping point of sorts inspired in part by recent societal events,  Tony Ortega at the Village Voice provides us with graphic reminders of  the wisdom of what we are doing.

http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/10/grant_cardone_occupy_wall_street.php

The 2 1/2 % who have seized control of the church of Scientology have sold out to the 1 % who are destroying the world’s economy by turning Wall Street into their personal casino.

Meanwhile, corporate Scientology continues to make its bid as the perfect medieval candidate for the religion of the 1%:

Whatever it takes:

The Road We Must Travel

As of this writing the petition to the White House to investigate the Department of Justice’s cover up of the ongoing crimes of David Miscavige contains 3,702 signatures.   I haven’t campaigned actively on the issue even though I have periodically offered more evidence supporting the premises of the petition.

Some have commented, and even used as a motivation for more action, that Miscavige will take a big win if the number does not reach the 5,000 threshold requiring White House response.  I don’t want to dampen any effective arguments people are using to garner more support. At the same time I have something to say about this one in particular. If David Miscavige takes a win on somewhere on the order of 4,000 people taking the bold step of putting their John Hancock’s to a petition to investigate him, the times they are a changing.  Two years ago I would venture that less than a 1,000 people would be willing to make that move.

That 4,000 people of every different stripe – Independent Scientologists, ex-Scientologists, anti-Scientologists, Anonymous activists, Methodists, Mormans, Catholics, Episcopalians, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, you name it – can come together on the issue of Corporate Scientology crime, and act in unison (many even leaving evidence of where they might be found),  the times they are a changing.

For every one of you who signed the petition, and especially to those of you who encouraged others to – regardless of how many more join you – you are heroes in my book.   You have stepped up to the plate and you have looked the beast in the eye and have said, “Down boy!”    Whether the Administration hears you or not, I’ll tell you one person who has heard you loud and clear – David Miscavige.  And whether he claims a “win” or a “lose” is meaningless; believe me, he hears your footsteps and in that wise you have helped tremendously in the process of slowly but surely de-fanging the monster.

This is not my petition.  I did publicize it and encourage people to sign it in a Sept 27 post in which I gave reasons why I thought it warranted support,  https://markrathbun.wordpress.com/2011/09/25/petition-the-president-of-the-united-states/.

I noted in that post that,

Whether the 5000 target is met or not does not relieve the Administration from its duty to investigate and remedy the filth and corruption going on between our Department of Justice and America’s most dangerous cult. But, the more people who sign the more chance there is that justice might be done.

Well, so far you all have provided 3,702 more reasons for the White House to act.  Thank you to all 3,702 of you.

If the petition winds up with 4,321 signatures or 5,500 signatures that will be another 619 or 1,798 reasons why the Administration ought to do its job, and those many more reasons why the oppressor ought to watch its step.

To those continuing to work tirelessly toward the 5,000 threshold, every additional name is golden as are you.

From the irreppressible Steve Hall:

We DEFINITELY CAN MAKE THIS TARGET and I am going to tell exactly HOW to do it. Facts: We have 5 days left including today. We got 250 signatures just last night. We need 1,272 more that is 254 per day. We are no where near tapped out. MAKE A LIST OF 10 PEOPLE (or more — go through your cell phone numbers) and SEND EACH PERSON the following email which I wrote yesterday:

Dear

I have a favor to ask. For about two years the FBI was conducting an investigation into the Church of Scientology. It was a serious investigation into human trafficking and obstruction of justice. Many ex-members of the CoS spoke with Federal Agents. However the CoS paid some huge money and apparently got someone (the Attorney General?) in the Justice Department to spike the whole thing. The two lead agents were transferred. So we are fighting back and one of the solutions we discovered was that the White House said if we could get 5,000 signatures on a petition, the President would look into the matter and make a statement. So we have already more than 3,725 signatures. We have 5 days left and need about 1,275 more — only about 255 a day, which we can definitely do (we did 250 Tuesday night). Can you and your family members please sign the White House Petition immediately to investigate why the FBI investigation was spiked, who spiked it, and also to restart the investigation into Church of Scientology criminality?

1) It takes only about 20 seconds to register — just put in your name and email address.

2) They will send you an email, with a link. Click on the link in the email.

3) Click on “Sign the Petition” and you’re done. Your privacy is protected and no one can actually see your last name.

Here is the link: http://wh.gov/4Os

Obviously we need as many people as possible to sign it immediately, so if you know anyone else that can sign it, please have at it.

Signed,

I send the letter to 20 people myself last night — just going through my phone numbers in my phone.

Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, An American Slave

Haydn James just wrote the following to me after he read  one of the books from the recommended reading section of this blog, A Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass,  an American Slave.  I’m posting Haydn’s communication to suggest other people read that book as well as consider reading some of the other books there too.

Marty,

I am sometimes slow on the uptake but I get there eventually. For  some years now you have recommended reading the account by Fredrick
Douglas of his life as a slave. To be honest, I thought: “Slavery is an abomination and shouldn’t be allowed, but that’s the long and the short of it so what’s to be gained by reading an account on the subject?”

Having just finished reading it I believe there is everything to be
gained.

There is no shift, mechanism, trick or means of domination used by
the slave master of old that isn’t used by David Miscavige. There
is no feeling, thought or emotion experienced by a slave that isn’t
felt by a Sea Org member, staff member or Scientologist under
Miscavige’s savage rule. There was no rationale, mind-set,
compromise or acceptance made by a slave that isn’t made by
Scientologists that are still trapped.

Some may say: “Sure but slaves were born to slavery whereas
Scientologists and Sea Org members volunteered for servitude.”
Well, I would say this: “In addition to the fact that I know of no
one that signed up for servitude, it was thrust upon them by
ambush, check out the accounts of children and youth that were born
into Scientology.”

I would much prefer to find differentiation rather than association
but between Mr. Douglas’ account of slavery and my experiences as a
Scientologist, staff and Sea Org member under Miscavige in the last
thirty years, as hard as I tried, I could only find association.

I have long sought the answer to the question of why do some shake
off Miscavige’s suppressive chains while others accept them,
reluctantly resolve to go along with the status quo and do nothing,
and some even go so far as to slavishly support their master? .

I finally found the answer in Mr. Douglas’ book — a very important
work.

Freedom is the senior datum, always was, always will be. Those left
in the “church” are enslaved because they have relegated freedom to
a junior level. They continue to make freedom less important than
the “Church” of Scientology and so are able to be enslaved by its
self appointed ruler. It’s an alteration of truth and natural law
that will persist until the matter is rectified. Until resolved
they will continue to feel all the sufferings that slaves of old
did.

Though it is 2011, I now consider myself an abolitionist. Slavery
is masquerading as religion and in a perverse twist of fate is
using a movement that had total freedom as its goal.

Total freedom is still the goal.

Haydn James

A couple of observations.  While Douglass writes of being a slave, more importantly the narrative recounts his metamorphosis from that beingness  into that of a free man.  I recommended the book because I believe there is no difference in the evolution he navigated and that which must be negotiated by anyone living with a slave-like mentality, whether that state was enforced from birth physically or mentally or was self imposed. Here is a man who was born into slavery but recognized he remained in that state first and foremost because he agreed to continue to do so on some level.  If Frederick Douglass could escape that prison mentally, then physically, then continue to work on his freedom and get there spiritually in the mid 1800s – all on his lonesome – then not a single one of us has any excuse to continue to walk about with shackled minds.  It is about removing the shackles of other-determinism and walking the walk of self-determinism.

the sociopath next door

Over the past three decades David Miscavige has done his best to reverse the practice of Scientology. That is, the further one moves up the Bridge in the church of Scientology the more zealous, tractable, solid, narrow-minded, and in most cases miserable one becomes.  That is not to say that people cannot attain higher Grades and Levels of spiritual state and understanding. It means that those gains are manipulated by deceit and conditioning and stress toward molding a person into a conscienceless, deployable agent for an ill-intentioned cult leader.  Being the consummate covertly hostile suppressive person, Miscavige has managed to do so while stage managing a false identity to his public that he is L Ron Hubbard’s guy.

Miscavige is very well described in the Science of Survival and in PTS/SP technical bulletins, policy letters and lectures.  In fact, the reason why Miscavige could manage his complete reversal of the subject of Scientology with the willing help of thousands of staff members and thousands of once-well-heeled public Scientologists is all explained rather neatly in these Hubbard materials.

Becoming disaffected with the “church” and Miscavige, leaving one’s life works in the “church” behind,  some people have tended to leave behind some of what they learned too.  Most commonly, first and foremost they leave behind PTS/SP technology.  It makes sense.  After all, it is the technology that protects good people against people who intend harm to others.   And so many good people’s experience within the church proved to them that PTS/SP technology is faulty, does not work, or in many cases is the cause of their own travails.

Most people I have encountered who have left the church went through decompression periods of their own. That is, a length of time to destimulate (settle spiritually) from the collective, suppressive acts that finally prompted them to cut ties with the cult while trying to put those experiences into some kind of perspective against their new experiences in the outside world.  The lengths of those periods have varied from months to years to decades.

During my own decompression period I did not want to read or hear anything about Scientology.  That included reading Hubbard books or listening to his lectures.  While I never doubted any gains I had achieved and used my training in living life, delving back into the subject brought about depressing emotions with the recognition that the entity that “owned” the technology was for all intents and purposes destroying it.  I have found that many people shared that resistance during their decompressions.

But I never lost the love of reading and learning and devoured many books on other subjects that interested me at any given time.  Some of them helped immensely in giving perspective in evaluating my life, including my then twenty seven year experience in and with Scientology.  Some books validated and enhanced understandings I had attained from studying Hubbard. I have shared some of those books in the Recommended Reading section of this blog – see the subject bar on the home page of Moving On Up A Little Higher.

I am adding to that list a remarkable book that I just finished, The Sociopath Next Door by Martha Stout.  I am adding it because I think it might do quite a lot of good for a lot of people who left the church of Scientology.  Not only for those not wanting to review any Scientology material, but for anyone who has encountered David Miscavige or his minions dutifully carrying out his directives.

Stout is a clinical psychologist who specialized for twenty-five years in helping the victims of sociopaths.   The first half of her book shares her real life observations about sociopaths and the effects they have upon social personalities.  Her observations are remarkably parallel to Hubbard’s description of the Suppressive Person.   Note, modern accepted characteristics of the sociopath very closely align with Hubbard’s descriptions of the emotional tone level of Covert Hostility and of the Suppressive Person.  This is so much the case that I have taken to using the terms “suppressive person” and “sociopath” interchangeably.

But, Stout’s first and foremost marker for the sociopath is more complementary of Hubbard’s work than it is duplicative.  Per Stout, the sociopath first and foremost lacks conscience.  It is a very useful and workable observation she shares.

Stout’s second chapter, ice people: the sociopaths, provides an actual case history that, but for career choice and resulting milieu of operation, could serve as the biography of David Miscavige.

Later in the book Stout gives another common denominator of sociopaths that again insightfully adds to one’s arsenal against being ruined by one, the pity play:

The most reliable sign, the most universal behavior of unscrupulous people is not directed, as one might imagine, at our fearfulness. It is, perversely, an appeal to our sympathy.

If you have followed this blog for long, you will know that I have several times wrote of Miscavige’s unnatural ability to paint himself as a victim.  As Stout notes, when a true sociopath is about to get caught out, he or she can very convincingly garner sympathy to divert attention from self.   Miscavige’s ability on that score has become institutionalized.  Virtually all International Association of Scientologist promo and briefings over the past two decades are outright fraudulent, falsely painting pictures of persecution against the cult.  Another example, the folks who have used 24/7/365 surveillance on my wife and me, who have overtly harassed us for 180 odd days running, with straight faces convince a clueless magistrate they must arrest me to protect them.

Stout recognizes the potential for suppressive/sociopathic groups, particularly “religious” ones.  Her description of one “church” sounds hauntingly like what has become of the conscienceless radical corporate church of Scientology:

As an illustration, one can cite the Creativity Movement, a militantly anti-Semitic and anti-Christian group formerly known as the World Church of the Creator, which is a religion founded on the love of the “White Race” and the prescribed hatred of everyone else. Within this doctrine, everyone who is not “White” is by definition a member of one of the “mud races.”  The central moral precept of the Creativity Movement is expressed as follows: “What is good for the White Race is the highest virtue; what is bad for the White Race is the ultimate sin.”   Unsurprisingly, the long-term goal of the Creativity Movement is to organize the “White Race” to achieve world domination.

The conscienceless organization, justifying any means by its alleged assistance toward an end, committing any crime against another person without remorse as long as it can be rationalized as forwarding the group’s power.

Perhaps most importantly, Stout describes how good, intelligent people wind up doing the bidding of a sociopath.

Excerpt:

Why are conscience-bound human beings so blind? And why are they so hesitant to defend themselves, and the ideals and people they care about, from the minority of human beings who possess no conscience at all?  A large part of the answer has to do with the emotion and thought processes that occur in us when we are confronted with sociopathy.  We are afraid, and our sense of reality suffers.  We think we are imagining things, or exaggerating, or that we ourselves are somehow responsible for the sociopath’s behavior.

It goes deeper when it comes to an organization emphasizing the importance of hierarchy and authority. Along the way she gives probably the best sum up and analysis I have read of the Stanley Milgram experiments on how authority can trump conscience.

While the last 1/3 or so of Stout’s book meanders down a sometimes painful path of speculations about possible genetic sources for sociopathy, it still manages to impart useful observations.   It was useful for me in this respect, I was able to recognize that despite Stout’s wonderful contributions (and clearly unintended validation of Hubbard’s work) modern mental health practitioners, regardless of their evolutionary progress over the past four decades, are still shackled by their inability to perceive or unwillingness to credit the spirit or soul.

Just because one is out from under the influence of the cult run by the sociopath/suppressive person of all sociopaths/suppressive persons is no reason not to read this book and hopefully recount, and maybe even re-study your Science of Survival and PTS/SP pack.  Stout, as Hubbard did forty-five years ago, recognizes that our inability to properly identify sociopaths and prevent the havoc they wreak is one of the greatest threats to humankind.

Is David Miscavige a Threat to the Public At Large?

If you think the Petition to President Obama has nothing to do with you, your friends, your family, and even your neighbors, think again.  What follows is but one of many stories about how the taxpayer subsidized, mafia-like tactics of David Miscavige pose a danger to society at large.  Ratchet up your confront of evil a couple notches.  David Miscavige with a billion tax free dollars is capable of – and is trying his hardest to achieve – a tremendous amount of chaos and hurt  even to those who have never heard of Scientology. If you don’t want advances in the sciences and particularly health sciences to be squashed like the Dark Ages by a well-heeled sociopath then go to  http://wh.gov/4Os and sign the petition now – then get five other people to do the same.

Robert Almblad with one of his grandchildren

by Mike Rinder

Why doesn’t David Miscavige, the self-appointed leader of the Church of Scientology, want the world to have clean, safe ice?

And just what is “safe ice” and why is it important?

It’s a dirty not-so-little secret in the world of food service, hotels and hospitals that commercial ice machines make “dirty” ice. Numerous studies have confirmed this.  Seven  years ago a high school student in Tampa, FL made national headlines by taking samples from fast food outlet ice machines and toilet bowls.  Testing showed the toilet bowl water was cleaner 70% of the time. Hospital administrators are aware that ice machines are a source of hospital acquired illnesses (HAI’s) – more than 100,000 people die in US hospitals each year due to HAI’s, many more contract non-fatal illnesses they did not have when they were admitted.  But until now there was no technology to solve the problem.

Enter Robert Almblad, an internationally known engineer and inventor, who lives and works in Tarpon Springs, FL.

Robert solved the problem of “dirty ice,” with an innovative solution that could potentially save lives or prevent the spread of illness.

This was big news and welcome news to those aware of the problem.

http://www.tampabay.com/news/business/finally-a-clean-ice-machine-says-tarpon-springs-inventor/1151052

Not so to David Miscavige.  He perceives safe ice as a threat to his “empire” and Robert Almblad among the top 3 on his “enemies list.”

Why? Because Robert Almblad dared to associate with Scientology whistleblowers Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun.  And even worse, Almblad retained Mike Rinder to work for him.

In the twisted mind of Miscavige, he is determined to force Almblad to disassociate himself from Rinder so Rinder is put into a “more amenable frame of mind” without a job and will therefore cry “uncle” and stop exposing the abuses of Miscavige.

But when Almblad refused to bend to the pressure, Miscavige implemented a plan to destroy him utterly – and along with it, his safe ice invention.

Miscavige’s pattern is a familiar one. Numerous media reports document his ruthless and unethical acts in furtherance of his desire to maintain leadership of his cult.

And so, Almblad became the subject of a widespread, expensive and incredible campaign of harassment.

His friends, family and neighbors were contacted, asking them “questions” like “What do  you know about your neighbor being a criminal?” Of course, there was no evidence of anything of the sort, but merely asking the question throws doubt in the minds of people that don’t know someone.

Robert was followed everywhere for months on end.  Walking the dogs. To restaurants. Stores. Doctor’s offices. Literally everywhere.  It’s a familiar pattern – see the Corpus Christi Caller Times articles documenting the harassment campaign against Marty Rathbun in Texas: http://www.caller.com/news/2011/aug/06/former-scientology-film-crew-member-describes-in/,  http://www.caller.com/news/2011/sep/19/former-scientology-official-arrested-in-on-the/ and http://www.caller.com/news/2011/sep/20/san-patricio-county-rejects-charge-against/

He was followed when he went out of state,  Miscavige and his gang gaining access to airline reservations and dispatching their henchmen as far away as Seattle, Washington.

The staff of his company have been harassed and followed. One staff member, never involved in Scientology, in a now also familiar pattern, is being prosecuted based on false reports filed with the State Attorneys Office after he was approached by Miscavige agents at his home.

Miscavige’s minions set up an office across street to surveil Almblad’s office 24/7.  And because three grown oak trees obstructed the view, someone took a chain saw to them in the middle of the night and left the trees blocking the road.  ONLY the three trees in front of Almblad’s office – no others.

One of the chainsawed trees

From this vantage point, they noted everyone who visited Almblad’s office, and they too would shortly thereafter receive visits from “reporters” or “private investigators” now “investigating” Robert Almblad on behalf of the Church of Scientology.  It got so bad that a Church operative, “Freedom Magazine” hack Jim Lynch burst into a private hotel meeting room in Miami Beach to attempt to intimidate businessmen Almblad was meeting with.  Lynch of course left the scene of the incident before the hotel security could get police there.

These incidents had only one purpose in mind – scare away anyone from doing business with Robert Almblad. And in the process destroy the safe ice business and drive him into bankruptcy. With that, Almblad would be taught a lesson and Rinder would be unemployed.

The campaign to break Robert Almblad failed.  He refused to cave in to their intimidation tactics.

He sucked it up and continued to do his job.

Then, another familiar tactic – numerous websites purporting to be “Robert Almblad”  sites  appeared with outrageous lies and innuendo, intended to sour anyone from doing business with Mr. Almblad.  And then a “special edition” Freedom Magazines further libeling him.  Of course, Miscavige knows that as Robert Almblad finances his inventions himself, he will run out of money before he could recover anything from a protracted legal battle to disprove the lies and sue for contract interference.

It’s a game Miscavige is familiar with – bully with an unlimited budget squashing anyone he sees as a threat.

But Almblad still refused to buckle.  He bought a throw away phone. Rather than flying, he drove from Florida to business meetings in New England so he could not be followed. He used a different name so Miscavige’s agents couldn’t spread lies about him before he could get his foot in the door.

He was not going to give in to the bully.

And while Miscavige spread all sorts of untruths about Robert Almblad being a dishonest, money-motivated scam artist, his actions have proved the precise opposite. By refusing to buckle under, by standing by Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun in spite of every reason not to, he has demonstrated a level of personal integrity and courage that is rarely seen.

Will he be able to get his safe ice invention to market? That is not clear. If he does, it will be in the face of tremendous odds. And if he doesn’t, Miscavige still won’t win as Almblad, Rinder and Rathbun will not be deterred from exposing his crimes. But the world will not see the benefits of safe ice machines thanks to the machinations of a megalomaniac cult leader bent on the destruction of anything that does not forward his agenda. And every person who gets the flu from eating unclean ice in a restaurant or contracts a disease in a hospital will know who to thank – and perhaps who to sue.

18 Wheels of Affinity, Reality, and Communication

With all the chatter about L Ron Hubbard’s alleged shortcomings, it got me to thinking about what the effect of the unprecedented ad hominen attacks against the man were.  Hubbard was demonized by the Cold War establishment perhaps more than any other civilian figure.  One cummulative effect of it all was to to one degree or another de-humanize him in the public eye.  We see remnants of those effects to this day. Tony Ortega has even come to the conclusion that my mission – and that of many other Independents – is made hopeless by this historical landscape.  That landscape is not easy to contextualize given its long-lived nature and Miscavige’s daily efforts to make the myths into reality.  Providing context to the entire picture  is a longer term project that I never lose site of, but unfortunately I have not found the time to devote to it that it deserves.

So, in the interim I play the game of trying to provide morsels of food for thought from time to time that might ever so slightly shift a viewpoint or two.

Today, I address a propaganda line that developed some legs during the take-down-Hubbard Cold War.  That is, “Hubbard’s writings rarely mention the word ‘love.'”

For those who have studied and applied much Scientology, certainly for me personally, that one cut to the quick.  It was not readily put to rest by counting up the use of the word “love” in Hubbard’s works.  Because, fact of the matter is, you won’t find the word “love” aplenty in Hubbard’s books and lectures.  Does that fact mean the subject of Scientology has nothing to do with the concept of “love”?

Again to those who understand the subject through study and work with it,  the answer is “of course it does, in fact it is the heart and soul of the subject.”

The purpose of the subject is to free the spirit through achievement of ever-increasing Understanding.  Understanding is composed of Affinity, Reality and Communication (ARC).  ARC are the component parts of Theta (the spirit, the soul; a term coined by Hubbard so as not to confuse it with 3000 years of misconceptions accumulated in the subject of spirituality).   Theta is the highest concept of love.   Theta is life force, elan vital, the all-healing good that the opposite of love (hate, lies, evil) disappears in the presence of.

Nearly every book written (there were dozens) and every lecture spoken (there were thousands) by Hubbard were done in furtherance of forwarding the laws of Affinity, Reality and Communication (increasing them) so as to free Theta.

I once tried to explain to Lawrence Wright (Pulitzer prize winning author of the February New Yorker article) that for every fault he could dig up about Hubbard, I could trace it back to a virtue.  Yes, Hubbard could be a harsh task master. Yes, he could roll up his sleaves and fight fire with a firestorm.  Yes, his propensity to do so left indelible faults in the organizations he created ( e.g. the Guardian’s Office, and yes even Office of Special Affairs,  etc).  But, having studied the subject thoroughly and practiced it inside and outside the organization, studied the man thoroughly (warts and all), and even myself having  acted viciously over many years in the name of defending Scientology, I came to an understanding while being outside of the beast for three years. That is, notwithstanding the fact that a died in the wool sociopath subsequently used Hubbard’s propensity to fight back hard as a justification for systematically ruining lives, the Old Man cared (many say to a fault) about assuring people’s ability to benefit from his discoveries. His discoveries about the laws of Affinity, Reality and Communication, the component parts of Theta (the highest possible concept of love). That Hubbard’s solutions to antagonism during the height of the Cold War are reprehensibly dramatized by a madman and an anachronistic organization in the age of Communication does not cancel that truth.

I’ll leave you with that thought and a song that I posted several weeks ago.   I know it is lengthy and only a few people (Laura, Rachel and Christie, I think) acknowledged having made it all the way through it.  But, this song captures for me the spirit of Scientology.   When all hope is lost for Chester, something happens.  The lyrics don’t explicitly say what it is.  But the music and context of the lyrics communicates what happens.  Chester is saved by love (theta), and somehow Chester realizes his (theta’s) seniority over the mechanics of matter, energy, space and time…and I’ll be damned.

When push comes to shove, when bullshit’s had its say, when the critics and zealots are done beating the hell out of one another, whether you wind up believing Hubbard was a sinner, a saint, a vengeful dirty fighter, or whatever,  I’ll continue to think he would have been right in there pitching with Chester, doing his damnedest to coax him  on up to cause over the elements that were trying to take him out of the game.

Petition the President of the United States

The highest levels of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. put an arbitrary, authoritative stop on a massive, widespread probe that its Los Angeles office had been carrying out from 2009 well into 2010.  The church of Scientology was given assurances by high level US Department of Justice officials that the investigation was dead via the church’s expensive, connected white shoe lawfirms.  With at least the imprimatur of the FBI Director himself FBI agents were instructed to falsely inform many witnesses and informants that the investigation was continuing long after the church had been assured by senior Department of Justice officials that the investigation was over.   These false assurances were provided in order to prevent the media from making the Department of Justice look weak or bought-off in the light of the many revelations of consistent criminal behavior being directed by the undisputed head of the church of Scientology David Miscavige.  As a result, the Department of Justice knowingly, and callously, put a number of informants at risk.  In effect, the Department of Justice made cooperating witnesses fair game for predictable church of Scientology retaliation tactics.

On a personal level, the 164 day siege of my own home began date coincident with one  Scientology Inc lawyer (former high level Justice official) going on record with a media outlet that not only was there not an ongoing investigation into Miscavige and his cult, but the lawyer had been assured by Justice Department officials that no investigation had ever even occurred.  And with that, Miscavige apparently felt immune to conduct the activity against me and my wife that is so over the top that only a madman or one knowing he had immunity would assay.  I have a well documented file, well placed, with similar stories from a number of other FBI witnesses and informants who were similarly left to hang and dangle in the wind.

Many local law enforcement officials have heard my complaints against Miscavige and the church of Scientology (tangible, current assaults upon me and my wife), in four different states, who have shrugged their shoulders and asked me, “where’s the FBI?  This stuff is clearly a pattern and crosses state lines daily.”   And each time, I have covered the FBI’s back by putting it back on the locals to stick to the narrow picture – granting the FBI’s stupid request that I keep the fact of their investigation quiet.  (I call the request stupid, because they continued to assert the church couldn’t know of their investigation more than a year after I demonstrated for them it was impossible that the church did not know by then – based upon people whom the FBI had visited and briefed and based upon whom I know those visited had subsequently spoken to).

I know precisely how the FBI was bought into submission by the church of Scientology.  I even warned the honest line agents involved  in November 2009 exactly how it would be done so as to proof them up from having their work sabotaged.

Unless and until President Obama appoints someone from outside of, and senior to, the Department of Justice – or until it is clear that this last appeal has fallen upon deaf ears – I will not be sharing all the particulars I know publicly.  But, those details one day will see the light of day even if I am not around to share them – I’ve made provision for that.

My attention was recently directed to a petition that appears on the White House’s web page. I ask that you sign that petition titled,  EXAMINE THE GOVERNMENT’S FAILURE TO INVESTIGATE AND PROSECUTE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY CRIME, FRAUD AND ABUSE.

at, http://wh.gov/4Os

I also encourage you to make the link known to every person you have the ability to reach in person or electronically and that you urge them to also sign.

Whether the 5000 target is met or not does not relieve the Administration from its duty to investigate and remedy the filth and corruption going on between our Department of Justice and America’s most dangerous cult.

But, the more people who sign the more chance there is that justice might be done.

The Strange Case of Biggi Reichert

I am investigating the circumstances and cover up of the 2006  untimely and unfortunate death of a senior  German Scientologist.

Biggi Reichert

Biggie was an OT VIII.  She was also an IAS Patron.

Biggi married an apparently wealthy Scientologist real estate speculator Juergen Reichert.   Biggi learned after the wedding that Juergen  was in fact deep in debt.

In 2000 Biggi was Mission Holder of the Augsburg Mission.

In 2006 Biggi Reichert was the Public Exec Sec at the Hamburg Scientology organization.

In 2006 Biggi wrote a note to the Flag Solo NOTs Director of Processing that she had allegedly attained the pinnacle of the Bridge, yet the two ruins she got into Scientology to handle were still her ruins: the Second Dynamic (sex, marriage and the rearing of children) and money.  At the time she and her husband were in debt to the tune of approximately ten million Euros (or 16 million US dollars). Biggi had begun a liaison of some sort with a Scientologist banker named Axel Rudel.

Biggi went to Flag for a handling. Her return ticket indicated she intended to stay for two weeks.  After four days at Flag, she was escorted to the airport by two Scientologists.   One of those escorts was reportedly OT VIII Rainer Bierman. Biggi flew back to Hamburg.  She took off in her car.

She spent three days at the horse ranch of her Scientologist friend Gloria Schluter.                     .

On the final day of her visit Biggi was found dead in the garage in her car.  Sleeping pills were spread about the front seat.  The car was fitted with a hose directing the exhaust into the seating compartment.  Autopsy determined she died of carbon monoxide poisoning; and that though she had consumed sleeping pills the dosage was not enough to have caused her death.  A will of sorts was left behind in Biggi’s hand distributing what few possessions she still owned.

Biggi’s scalp contained more than a dozen small third degree burns.  While each burn was about the size of a cigarette ember, they were determined forensically to not be cigarette burns.  Her hair did not appear to be burned; leading to the conclusion the burns were carefully administered.  The burns were determined to most likely have occurred while Biggi was in Florida.

Juergen Reichert disappeared and is not cooperating with police.  Gloria Schluter did not provide any substantive information.  The “church” has been mum, as per usual, as if it was a matter that its staff knew nothing about. And of course they provided none of the tomes of documents such matters by policy would require they write and file.  The United States government is reluctant to provide assistance to the German government in getting to the bottom of this, having been effectively bought off by David Miscavige’s agents.

Scientologists in good standing who inquired of the church about the disappearance of Biggi were lied to.  They were told that Biggi suddenly suffered a heart attack and died, period.

If anyone has any information leading to the resolution of the mystery surrounding the death of Biggi Reichert, please share them.  If you require anonymity, contact me at my secure address, howdoesitfeel@hushmail.com.

Please, if  you have any possibly relevant facts, pass them along for the benefit of Biggi.

Minimally, Biggi was abandoned by her “church” and her “friends”.

We apparently are the only friends she’s got left.

David Miscavige Kills Survival (Insurance)

For those who don’t know, Survival Insurance made millions by catering to Scientologists. When they started they pretty much ripped off the short-lived, but then (eighties) popular Survival Rundown trademark.

Survival CEO Richie Acunto became one of the elite of the Miscavige elite public.  In 2007 he completed his rarified IAS status by paying TEN MILLION dollars to the IAS.

Is it any surprise that four years later Survival Insurance has filed for bankruptcy?

Here is the filing:

Survival Insurance Inc.

Folks this is not an exception you are witnessing; this has become the rule.  So much so that several people from around the country have reported to me that “church” representatives are actually encouraging hard up, once-high-rollers that they have fleeced to declare bankruptcy.

“Secret” IAS briefings have actually provided the public with far-out, lunatic fringe justifications for filing bankruptcy, telling the public it is “ethical” for them to do so.  I’ll tell you what  they are being told by the “church.” Are you sitting down?   “The bankers deserve it.  International Bankers created the international recession for the sole purpose of harming the IAS and the church of Scientology.”   I guess they are the same international bankers they are falsely alleging are paying me (’cause how on earth else could a guy create such big effects with just communication?).  The same international bankers that dance in the reactive mind of David Miscavige.  Are you getting the picture yet?  Mike and I are not joking when we say David Miscavige is the biggest self-made victim on planet earth.  He is a died in the wool suppressive person (sociopath) fighting martians at every turn.

If anyone knows creditors of Survival Insurance and Richie Acunto, I think it would be quite the ethical thing to do to provide them with the information about where their money went – David Miscavige’s IAS.  Note that the creditors listed could be paid off with just the damn commission on the TEN MILLION DOLLARS fraudulently obtained by IAS.    If these people make enough noise, Miscavige will be forced to order a check be delivered to Richie to make those creditors whole.

I suggest that this is the ethical resolution to this Ponzi scheme.   In my opinion, there is likely more than meets the eye here.  They’ve got Miscavige bot Michael Stoeller representing Survival.  My guess is the company, and Richie, are in a lot more trouble than they disclose here, and if Miscavige doesn’t bail them out with his ill gotten booty a lot of other people are going to get hurt too.

And to think, twenty months ago Richie Acunto wouldn’t give the time of day to his erstwhile friend Tiziano Lugli when Il Maestro attempted to warn him where this ship was headed.  Instead, he disconnected from his friend and remained connected to the SP (suppressive person, sociopath) he was warned about.

Wake Up Call, indeed.
