Leah Remini and her Troublemakers, Part 4

Going Clear, Part 8

How Gullible Can One Get?

It came to my attention that some fellow gave a youtube lecture about what he called a conflict between Tony Ortega and me. When I went to the video I saw a man calling himself Chris Shelton ‘critical thinker at large.’ It would be difficult to imagine more inflated airs of self-absorbed arrogance than this fellow manages to put on; nor a mind as infected with hive-mentality.

Mr. Shelton claims in the video not to know anything about what went down behind the scenes in the terminations of Monique Rathbun’s lawyers and lawsuit – delivered with a tongue-in-cheek smirk. But, he comes to the authoritative conclusion that I have somehow overreacted to Ortega’s four-month campaign smearing my wife and me over the issue. He concludes it is a function of the damaged former Scientologist mind – a syndrome he claims to be an expert in.

I learned that before these broadcasted profundities Shelton was making the ASC (Anti-Scientology Cult) rounds swearing people to secrecy before giving them the ‘real story’ behind the terminations. He swore the story was obtained straight from Monique’s former lawyer’s mouth. Shelton’s rumor-monger account – if believed – would mean that either Tony Ortega made up and published quotes attributed to Ray Jeffrey about his former client, or that Ray Jeffrey simply lied like a flatfish throughout his ‘exclusive’ Ortega interview. That would be the ‘Quiz Street’ interview where Jeffrey swore he did not have a clue as to which way was up.

Between Ortega’s plethora of claims as to ‘inside knowledge’ and then Shelton’s, it seems they would like the ASC krew to believe that Jeffrey is more like Perez Hilton than Perry Mason.

In either event, it demonstrates that Shelton at best is not playing with a full deck. He delivers psych analyses giving knowingly false premises to support his damning conclusions.

Looking further into Shelton’s gig I learned something remarkable. He has posted dozens of videos pontificating about the damaged minds of Scientologists (current and former). They are delivered with the self-sure authority of an Ivy League shrink.  Paradoxically, Shelton’s principle support for putting out his mass psychiatric diagnoses comes from someone who purports to deliver Scientology services at the highest level of proficiency. Shelton’s benefactor also pays Tony Ortega to, among other things, regularly post Shelton’s ramblings at The Underground Bunker.

More remarkable is that some former Scientologists actually pass around Shelton’s mental-deficiency diagnoses of themselves. Brain dead, and damn proud of it.

Ruthless: Rape and Hypocrisy

My attention was directed to the latest on Karen De La Carriere’s Surviving Scientology youtube channel.  There, kept-man first-class Jeffrey Augustine interviews Ron Miscavige’s ghostwriter Dan Koon, in no small part in response to my review of Miscavige’s book Ruthless. The effort is understandable if one reviews Karen’s eager promotion across several fora of Ron Miscavige’s expose’ of his own flesh and blood. At the same time it highlights the hypocrisy that is the trademark of the Anti-Scientology Cult (ASC).

It is apparent in the book Ruthless that there is only one thing in his life that Ron Miscavige considers more intolerable than the thought of bearing any responsibility for his own son. Beyond piling on his living son while pile-driving his deceased wife Loretta, Ron’s book obsesses most with asserting his innocence to rape charges brought against him in the eighties. A great deal of Ruthless is devoted to complaining about the alleged injustice of being arrested, booked and forced to defend against the charge.

Here’s where the hypocrisy enters. A few years ago Karen offered me thousands of dollars to indict and convict Ron Miscavige of that very rape charge on my blog.  She said that Ron had confessed the crime to her in Clearwater Florida in the eighties and she wanted to publish it.  She said it was fair game for publication because even though Karen was a Scientology counsellor at the Clearwater facility at the time of the confession, Ron had admitted the crime outside the four walls of a counselling session.  She said that Ron told her, “Karen, I don’t know what got into me. I lost my mind. I got rough with that girl. I raped her”, referring to the woman outside Philadelphia who had so accused him.  She referred to Ron Miscavige as a predator who needed to be put away for the protection of society.

I told Karen that rape is a serious charge for a he-said/she-said accusation and I would not be taking the subject up.  Karen pressed me with a plea that it would do all manner of harm to David Miscavige and Scientology.  I informed Karen as I had on numerous occasions that that was not my purpose nor the purpose of my forum and that until she and others evolved from such hateful motivations they would continue to live the miserable existences they did. I also reiterated what I told her several times: that I never allowed editorial influence no matter how generous one was with donations to the blog.

Fast forward five years. Augustine on behalf of De La Carriere is using her forum to attack me for pointing out the hypocrisy of Ron Miscavige’s book.  Kept-man second-class Tony Ortega does accept money for publishing salacious content. That is how he makes his living. Only now Karen doesn’t want to protect the public from a rapist, she wants the guy pointing out the rapist’s hypocrisy to be discredited. As per usual, on-demand Tony dutifully complies.

There is another layer of hypocrisy. Ruthless ghostwriter Dan Koon’s first response to my review of Ruthless justified his efforts by promoting his next ghostwriting assignment, Jesse Prince’s book. Dan wrote of it as if it were the continuation of carrying out a noble endeavor. Meanwhile, Jesse is making the rounds swearing that he has evidence backing De La Carriere’s rape accusations against Ron Miscavige. The problem with a culture of complaint is that the blaming never seems to end. Ultimately, it has no other ends.

This business with trying to get me to publish Ron’s confession occurred while Ron was still with Scientology’s priesthood (the Sea Organization). So, here is the lesson in ASC ethics. A confessed rapist who is a Scientologist deserves life in the penitentiary. A confessed rapist who is an anti-scientologist deserves sainthood and the best defense money can buy. If you are with ASC against Scientology, you can get away with murder (or at least violent rape). If you don’t toe the party line, you are “bought off” or worse and are fair game for attack by those who themselves have long-since sold themselves. Kettle, meet pot.

Investigation Into The Death of Alexander Jentzsch

Der Spiegel magazine in Germany has published a feature article on the mysterious and heartbreaking case of Alexander Jentzsch:  Der Spiegel.  See the German to English translation at the end of this post.*

Karen De La Carriere and I – along with appropriate law enforcement agencies – are actively investigating the death of Alexander.  There are too many unanswered questions to let this matter rest.  Scientology Inc. has gone into full-scale cover-up mode in hiding the circumstances of Alexander’s untimely death.  It has taken the following extraordinary measures to keep the truth hidden:

a)   “OT VIII” Stan Gerson is a numbered OSA agent.  He is listed in the OSA spies list maintained by OSA and published on this blog,  Scientology spy network exposed.   On that list, under ‘production data’ Stan is listed as ‘spokesperson at events .’  He is also listed as “trusted” by OSA.   Gerson was directed by OSA Int to send out a creepy Public Relations email broadly about Alexander’s funeral event at Scientology Inc’s celebrity center.  The event and email were  a thinly veiled ‘proof of life’ photo op for the imprisoned president of church of Scientology International (and father of Alexander) Heber Jentzsch.  The email also attempted to cover-up the plethora of questionable circumstances surrounding Alexander’s untimely death.   The funeral event itself was an attempted P.R. handling after Karen publicized that Scientology Inc promised  her that no such event would occur.

b)   The LA County Coroner has been obstructed in his investigation by Scientology Inc arranging for the representation of the man, Jeffery Thomas Evans,  in whose home Alexander’s dead body was found deceased. The lawyer Scientology assigned to Evans was the same lawyer who was retained to prosecute and silence Scientology Inc escapee Daniel Montalvo.   See this video tape where private eyes, surveilling and attempting to intimidate Daniel, tell the identity of the lawyer that retained them,  Vicki Podberesky:

Podberesky is now serving as a cover-up buffer between the Coroner and Scientology Inc witnesses (and persons of interest in the investigation) to the death of Alexander.

c)  Scientology Inc. has brought their ace of dirty tricks out of mothballs to flank the cover up.  Dave Lubow who coordinated and laundered money for the 199-day overt harassment operation against me and my wife last year has not been seen or heard from for ten months since being run out of Ingleside on the Bay on a rail.   But Lubow has suddenly re-appeared on the scene attempting to intimidate investigators of Alexander’s death with creep-out ops.

Dave Lubow

The reason for this announcement here and now is to alert those fence sitters, under the radar folk, and others who might have information about Alexander’s final months that you can reach either me or Karen and have your identity protected and any chances of Scientology Inc. retaliation obliterated.

A gifted young man has been killed and Scientology Inc. is dead set on covering it up.  If you have any information about Alexander over the past year you may possess a critical link to solving this crime.

You must examine your conscience before deciding to remain silent.

The case of Alexander Jentzsch

Living and dying through Scientology

By Mona Botros

Alexander Jentzsch died at the age of 27 years, his last name is well known to people close to Scientology around the world.: His Father is the international spokesperson for the Scientology Organization, the mother a well know dissident of the church. The cult controlled Alexander’s life, the circumstances of his death are mysterious.

Karen de La Carriere at first did not realize what she was reading when she was casual going through her Facebook messages: “Do you know Alexander Jentzsch is dead?”

De La Carriere told us, at first she thought there was a confusion with the name. But this was not about her 75 year old former husband Heber Jentzsch, it was indeed Alexander, her son.

He became 27 years old and died in the beginning of July 2012. His death has a number: 2012-04365. This is the case number of the authorities in Los Angeles. There were no signs of physical violence, no indications for a suicide, so the coroner. A toxicology report is expected to provide more information about the cause of death.

The name Jentzsch is well known to people close to Scientology around the world. Since 1982 is Alexander’s father the international spokesperson of the Scientology organization. He was the public face of Scientology up to the early 90’s. His mother was personally recruited and trained by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard .

“He begged me to sign”

Scientology believes they already know what caused Alexander’s death. In an email broadcast a long term Church Scientologist and godfather of Alexander announced Alexander died from adverse reactions to prescription medications he was taking because of chronic back pain after a traffic accident. A surprising announcement, given the fact that medications are frowned upon in Scientology.

Alexander Jentzsch was a handsome boy with dark eyes. He was seen at galas events at the side of celebrities like John Travolta and Chick Chorea.

But his life was not glamorous at all. The family unit starts to disintegrate when Alexander was 3 years old. Karen falls into disgrace with Scientology leader David Miscavige, when she speaks her mind.  So David Miscavige orders the separation of Karen and Heber. The divorce follows in 1988. Alexander lives from now on with his mother, the father is ordered to pay $280 monthly alimony for his son.  “In Reality Heber never paid a dime. How could he, with an income of 12 dollar per week?”  says de la Carriere.

She fights to get herself and her son through. Although the parents have shared custody, Alexander almost never sees his father, as Heber represents Scientology around the globe. Alexander suffered his whole life from the separation of his father.

At the age of 8 Alexander is recruited into the Sea Org., the lite organization of Scientology.  The lure must have been irresistible for the young boy. “They told him he would be able to spend plenty of time with his father.”, remembers de la Carriere. “He begged me to sign”.  Alexander goes to a boarding school outside of Los Angeles.

“Any information is controlled”

3 Years later Alexander is transferred to the Fort Harrison Hotel in Clearwater Florida the spiritual mecca of the cult. Scientologists from all over the world come to this place to participate in expensive courses. The boy has to clean toilets and scrub the floors among other things up to 12 hours a day, so says his mother.  An education?  None.

Soon something happens that will burden Alexander for the rest of his life and is only years later to become known.

A 40 year old female Scientologists and coworker rapes Alexander when he is 12 years old. Not once but repeatedly is Alexander raped. When Scientology internally became aware of the situation, there was a quick response. Within 24 hours Alexander is shipped to the West Coast, to prevent authorities in Florida to get access to the boy.

During grueling hour long interrogations the message is driven home to the boy: He is never to speak about this.  Only 14 years later de la Carrier learns about the rape of her son.  Church dropouts who were involved in the  cover-up, tell her what happened to Alexander. “I remember the moment I picked up Alexander from the airport and his inability to look me in the eyes”, says Karen. “I do not dare to imagine what they have done to him.”

The department of Scientology handling such situations is called “Office of Special Affairs” or OSA.  Their primary goal is to prevent any possible damage for Scientology.  The official task of OSA is public relations and legal affairs, but in reality it is kind of a private secret service.

Deported to Prison Camp

Mike Rinder knows the family Jentzsch. He worked closely with Heber Jentzsch, since Alexander was a toddler. He experienced how the President of the Church of Scientology increasingly fell out of favor with David Miscavige. “David Miscavige beat and humiliated Heber”, says Rinder. “DM could not stand the fact Heber was widely well liked and respected.” Miscavige gave less and less tasks to heber and at one point Heber was gone completely.  He was transferred to the international headquarter 2 hours drive east of Los Angeles. “There he got locked up in the hole”, reports the former OSA boss.

“The hole”. 2 small office buildings retrofitted to function as a prison camp specifically for Scientology executives. This is where Heber Jentzsch lives since 2006 based on the description of Rinder under pitiful conditions.  Heber Jentzsch had no free access to his son Alexander. Mike Rinder knows what he is talking about. He saw the aging President of the Church, when he himself was locked up in the hole.

Scientology objected to Rinders descriptions: Jentzsch lives and works in the church facilities. “Due to his age he rarely is seen in public compared to the past”, a church lawyer wrote in a note to SPIEGEL ONLINE. Heber was “proud at 50 years continuous service and so are we.” Incidentally  Scientology does not want to make any further statements about the Jentzsch family or Alexander’s death.

Alexander was isolated in his last two years of life, not only from his father but also from his mother. She left the church in 2010 and is since then a member of the “Independent Scientologists” movement. This community still believes in Hubbard’s teachings and practiced his methods.

When de la Carriere became too critical of the organization, they declared her an enemy of Scientology. Henceforth, no Scientologist may be in contact with her, not even her own son. “Alexander called me and said that I should not call him anymore and do not send e-mails.”

Disconnection til death

In 2010 Alexander Jentzsch and his wife Andrea leave the Sea Org, but remain members of the church. Andrea is expecting a child and those are not wanted in the elite organization. The couple tries to build a new life in Texas but experience several setbacks. Andrea loses the child and Alexander gets fired from his job.  They are drifting apart; “Just before his death, he changed his status on Facebook.” His mother remembers.

Alexander returns to the west coast, alone and penniless. He can’t ask his mother, by now a successful art dealer, for help. He stays with his in-laws, which live in the northern part of Los Angeles. They tell the police later, that he went to bed in the morning of July 2nd. He wasn’t feeling well and was complaining about a fever. In the evening he is still lying there the same way.  Nobody calls a doctor. The next morning there is an emergency call to 911. Alexander is dead.

A couple of days later, somebody slips some pictures to the grieving mother, taken two weeks before his death. Alexander is laughing into the camera. “It looked like he was doing fine,” Karen says in despair. Why did the young man die?

Ed Winter, speaker of the Coroner’s office in Los Angeles, says that they found prescription drugs close to the body. And: “We have evidence that he was already dead for a while before the emergency call was made in the morning of July 3rd.” Die investigation continues, Alexander’s death remains a mystery.

On July 10th, there is a yacht going out to sea in Los Angeles. The sky is bright blue, the ocean quiet. There is a heat wave, the first of the summer. The thermometer is climbing up to 100 degrees. On board of the ship is the urn with Alexander’s ashes. When his remains are set free, there is no memorial.

Karen de la Carriere is organizing one three days later. She wasn’t allowed to bury her own son. “Scientology has intervened in the matter and enforced our separation even after Alexander’s death,” Karen tells. Even one last look at his body was denied by her daughter in law.

Scientology Inc. Meltdown

It is ironic that David Miscavige’s best friend and ‘the most dedicated Scientologist’ he knows, Tom Cruise, has provided the tipping point event in the final meltdown of Scientology Inc.  What I find most disturbing about it is that Miscavige is doing all he can to bring everyone and everything down with him – from Tom Cruise to the subject of Scientology itself.

It is somewhat poetic justice that so many horror stories that Miscavige spent so many million suppressing over the past several years have suddenly been given wide currency.  It is unfortunate that there has not been time, nor the inclination on the part of media, to differentiate Miscavige’s cult and its conduct from the philosophy of Scientology.  But, Miscavige’s scorched earth, take no responsibility policy makes that differentiation process nearly impossible.

To understand the process, let’s take for example Miscavige’s response to the original Truth Rundown series by the Tampa Times.  Some former International Headquarters staff  attempted to check Miscavige from taking Scientology Inc. down in a Jonestown-like inferno by exposing dangerous, habitual conduct by Miscavige. Miscavige’s response was to accuse the accusers of perpetuating wholesale violence.  The result, two nights of ABC Nightline specials and a five part CNN AC 360 special on “Scientology: A History of Violence”, and an hour long BBC documentary all about a widespread ‘culture of violence’ at the highest ranks of ‘Scientology.’  It is the lying that perpetuates and exacerbates the situation and results in no effective differentiation being possible.  I remember predicting to Mike Rinder a month before Truth Rundown was published that until Miscavige takes a modicum of responsibility for the truth, the media exposes will become more frequent and more widespread.  Just look at how the Truth Rundown series has expanded since its 2009 inception.

Take the Cruise/Holmes debacle.  The absurd, pathetic blanket denial of the truth positions taken by Cruise and Miscavige are giving Scientology haters a seemingly unending  field day.

Look at the lengths Miscavige has gone in attempting to kill the story of the death of the son of Karen De La Carriere and Heber Jentzsch.   “OT VIII”, celebrity wanna be Stan Gerson has been used to send out a propaganda piece designed to divert Scientologists’ attention from the cover up of the ongoing Coroner’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding Alexander Jentzsch’s death, see Village Voice coverage.

My analysis of the ongoing meltdown of Scientology Inc is that the consistent, common denominator that is prolonging and exacerbating it, making rational discussion and differentiation near impossible, is the activity of corporate Scientology lying.  I place the responsibility for this dark chapter for Scientology squarely in the office of Chairman of the Board of Scientology Inc.   David Miscavige is the one who has created the current wholesale condemnation of the subject.  He has convinced Tom Cruise to eschew the advice I have been giving for three years here.  That advice is probably best summed up in an anonymous axiom I once quoted here:

If you tell the truth, it becomes a part of your past. If you lie, it becomes a part of your future.

The cummulative lies that Miscavige has directed Scientology Inc. and its corporate and celebrity spokespeople to vehemently pour forth for years are creating a dark future for Scientology.   Their lies give legs to stories seeking to shed light on corporate Scientology abuses, and their obfuscation of specific facts opens the door to lay the blame on ‘Scientology’ generally.  Their attack and lie reaction makes closure on any story about ‘Scientology’ impossible.  Ultimately, by their continuing dishonesty they are denying many people potential benefits from the subject in the future.

The only way this sick trend will ever begin to reverse is by the revelation of truth.   We ought not be discouraged in continuing to do what we can to purvey it.   But, those efforts will continue to be suppressed as long as the likes of Miscavige, Cruise and others blatantly continue to traffic in lies.

Make no mistake, Miscavige has proven over and over that he is incapable of honesty.   As I have spelled out before on this blog, Miscavige’s game is to make enemies for Scientology.  He will do all he can to keep the likes of Travolta and Cruise lying in public until they are so bloodied figuratively and confused that they lose the ability to differentiate the cause of their woes and become enemies of the subject of Scientology.  After all, Miscavige has accomplished that with dozens of former members – you can watch them all over the airwaves of late.  He has attempted to do the same with all of us.

Cruise, Travolta, and the less stellar soldiers of Scientology Inc can avoid falling into that dark, victim bunker.  All they need to do is heed the advice:

If you tell the truth, it becomes a part of your past. If you lie, it becomes a part of your future.

Whether the truth is in them remains to be seen.

Alexander Jentzsch – In Memoriam

Alexander with his father Heber Jentzsch

In spite of Alexander being coerced economically and emotionally to turn on his mother and act as an Office of Special Affairs (OSA) spy against her and the independent movement (see Karen De La Carriere), it appears that at the end of his life Alexander’s only friends were Karen De La Carriere and her friends.   Karen organized and conducted a funeral ceremony aboard a boat sailing out of Los Angeles on 13 July.   Photos below are from that event. The following is a spontaneous, real remembrance of Alexander written by Karen one night after receiving news of his death.   I asked Karen for permission to publish this to serve as the In Memoriam for Alexander on this forum because it says so much in so few words, and with such great impact.  She gracefully agreed.

Alexander Jentzsch by Karen De La Carriere

Alexander Jentzsch

I was informed of my son’s death on the rumor line; his corporate Scientologist family and friends who knew were prohibited from talking to me by Miscavige’s oppressive disconnect policy.
I rushed to the Coroner’s office to see Alexander’s body and discern the cause of death.  I was informed that an autopsy was performed and nothing was found. The in-depth tests come back in 60-90 days for “cause of death.”

Karen at service with Tori Christman

Alexander was extremely healthy, even athletic. I bought him this darned Mountain Bike and he would bike down steep Mountain trails in Griffith Park. (dangerously and recklessly). He lived in Dallas/Fort Worth for about a year. He said he wanted to be out of the “Insanity” of Los Angeles and Sea Org recruiters who wanted him back in the Sea Org. He was routed out of the Sea Org 2 years ago because his wife was pregnant (No babies allowed in the Sea Org).   Alexander’s child didn’t make it, his wife suffering a spontaneous abortion. The marriage fell apart a while back, and they were separated. Then I heard he was fired from the Scientology company in Dallas. He called Kerstin Caetano, Security Chief at OSA INT, to let them know he was unemployed. He flew back to Los Angeles, developed a high fever Monday and was dead on Tuesday.   He was living with the corporate Scientologist parents of his wife Andrea, even though he had been separated from her for some time.

Trey Lotz ministers

The LA County Coroner informed me that California law prevented me from viewing his body – only the wife, in this case Andrea, had that right and could grant permission.  Andrea and her parents informed me that they would not talk to me in keeping with Miscavige disconnection policy and that there would be no funeral service for Alexander and proceeded to have the body cremated after allowing Alexander’s body to sit in the morgue, unvisited for several days.  The Coroner  also reported  to me that when Andrea’s father found Alexander’s body unresponsive the day he died,  the man did not phone 911.  Instead, he drove his daughter to school, then returned home, and only then did he dial 911 to report.
Alexander referred to himself as “The Boy without a Dad” Due to Heber’s lock down for the last 14 years (see Free Heber). You could count on your fingers how many times he saw his father. Almost never. Two times for a few short hours in 8 years. Heber was not permitted to call him to even wish Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas. This wounded Alexander emotionally and we spoke of it often. Heber is still in the dreaded “SP HOLE” that Debbie Cook talked about so eloquently (8 years in the hole), see Debbie Cook tells the Hole Truth.

Alexander, the boy without a dad

Alexander yearned to have a dad and had a tendency to “adopt” older men as surrogate dads. Fathers of his friends and buddies.  I was there for him as a mom as a safety net through his UPS and DOWNS. He served 16 years in the Sea Org from the tender age of 8 years old. I had left but he insisted on returning to the Sea Org on the belief he would see his father more often (but it never happened). But once I got declared a Suppressive Person, he had virtually no dad and no mom. He was out of the Sea Org the last 2 years of his life, so he had tasted freedom. Alexander HATED being orphaned. That I know from multiple Facebook sources.

In lieu of withheld ashes, flowers were spread at sea

Despite this deprivation,  Alexander sacrificed his childhood and nearly the rest of his shortened life to perform at a stellar level in the Sea Org.  He held up his end of the bargain.
Is there such a thing as one dying of a broken heart ?
love to you ,
Karen
