ANAT KRIER WANTS TO START INDIE YOUTH GROUP

My 19 year old son has been wanting to go back to CW (Clearwater, Florida) since we moved to Oregon a year and half ago, because it’s the place he knows. That is where his friends that he grew up with and that he shares so much ARC for and with are! As we, parents to teens and young adults, know; the majority of them care mostly about their social life.

I had a huge loss leaving behind what I considered to be my whole universe and my group when I left CW. Imagine how it was for a kid for whom that is all he knew his whole life.
I want to know if you would be interested in the following:
Having young adults from the age of 16-23 who are interested in getting together with other ex-church members in that age bracket to enjoy a weekend camping on one of the islands near CW during fall/winter time this year, where they will create new friends or re-establish communication with old friends. This is also an opportunity for them to just itsa.

I know my son will have a much easier time communicating to someone his age than to me.

We, as adults, all needed a “support group” when we decided to leave the church. Thankfully, there was one made up of Indies, Freezoners, etc. The younger generation is no different. They too will benefit greatly from a weekend with friends their own age and with whom they share a similar reality with. There are several in the CW area interested already, but we’d like to invite young adults from all areas to fly or drive in and participate.

If we can get enough young adults interested, I have a friend in Clearwater who is willing to find a camp site for them and be the coordination point. If you have any suggestions along that line, please chime in.
Those that are interested:

INDIES DAY 2012

Steve Hall posted a nice piece on Indies Day 2012, at Scientology-Cult.com.  We had a great time seeing everybody.  Thanks a million to Natalie and Brad Hagemo and Mike and Christie King Rinder for all you did to make it happen.

FRIENDS OF LRH

I have received a number of alerts that hitting the link to the the great data resource Friends of LRH results in a Malware warning pop up.  I don’t know who the folks are who run that webpage – but if you get hold of Mike Rinder or me we might be able to help you repel whatever attacks you may be under.

See Mike Rinder on NBC Rock Center

A preview of tonight’s Rock Center on NBC features Mike Rinder, see Ex-Scientology Spokesman on Rock Center.

Amazing how much better he looks fourteen years after appearing on NBC Dateline under the suppresvision of David Miscavige (footage included in preview).  Reversal of the aging process, or proof that effectively dealing with suppression gives a new lease on life?

Tune in tonight and learn all about Disconnection from someone who knows a little something about it.

Another OT VIII Has Seen The Truth Revealed

This is the story of how Halina Cirillo fell in and out of love with the Church of Scientology.

A bit of background about myself.  I was in Scientology for 40 years, on staff in Toronto through most of the 70s.   My original post was Director of Processing which I held for 3 years and was then recruited into the Guardian’s Office and held the post of  DG PR CAN.  As D of P I had 18 auditors in the HGC and our well done auditing hours at that time have never been matched since.  I left the GO in disgust in the late 70s after being shown confidential session data about my brother.  Then I became a public Scientologist, very active in the Church.  I am OT VIII, mid St Hill Special Briefing Course and am IAS “Patron with Honours.”  I have been successful enough in my business career to have been able to donate in excess of half a million dollars between the Bridge and other Scientology campaigns.

I resigned from the Church of Scientology on June 1, 2011 while I was still in good standing.

My adventure in Scientology began in the winter of 1971 when I witnessed a startling change in my brother within two months of his becoming a Scientologist.  He literally turned his life around.  This prompted me to visit the Toronto Org.   I threw myself into Scientology wholeheartedly.  I observed and experienced Scientology working fantastically well in the 70s but I started to notice things changing in regards to the application of the technology in the late 80s.  The biggest change I saw then was that the freedom of how to apply the tech, including personal ethics conditions, was no longer my choice – instead, the Church began to more and more dictate what tech to apply and when and how to apply it.

The following major incidents helped open my eyes as to the real state of affairs in today’s Church of Scientology:

1.    In 1989 I was told that three Toronto public Scientology opinion leaders wrote 300 reports about me which, based on what I was told, I considered to be mainly false and misleadingThe then CO WISE CAN (Mary Ann Frith) got involved and, based on these false reports, CSWed the International Justice Chief in an attempt to have me declared without a Committee of Evidence.  A non enturbulation order was issued on me. When I learned of these reports (none of which were shown to me) I immediately flew to AOSHUK in England to get any necessary handling.  I was security checked and plant checked and nothing of significance came up.  I did an ethics program and returned to Toronto hoping and expecting this would remedy the situation. Unfortunately, it did not.

In a last ditch effort to handle this insanity I compiled a comprehensive rebuttal document which I forwarded to ED Int requesting a Committee of Evidence at Flag.  This was granted.  The Committee of Evidence was held in Toronto several years later.

I was ordered to more security checking at Flag and had to do a major, punitive ethics cycle.  My Flag auditor doing the security checking was dumbfounded that I had been ordered to do this again.  Nevertheless, I completed all the recommendations of the Committee of Evidence.  Even after doing all this it took me well over a year to get the non enturbulation order lifted.

The then CO OSA CAN (Janet Laveau) told me years later that these three people intentionally planned a campaign to get me declared.  To my knowledge none of these individuals were corrected.

The lesson I learned from this was that my Church, supposedly operating on truth, does not always practice what it preaches

2.  When I first began auditing on OTVII in 1994, the required 6 months checks were very short (3-4 days).  After the Golden Age of Tech for OTs came out (1996) things changed.  I couldn’t understand why security checking became more pronounced the higher I went up the Bridge.  I previously never had any objection or resistance to doing appropriate ethics cycles which resulted in release of charge.  After 1996 the 6 months checks consisted mainly of security checks laced with a presumption that one was really out ethics.  Despite having no real difficulty with my Solo auditing, the continuous security checking brought about a tremendous degree of introversion.  I couldn’t count the number of times I red tagged as a result of the security checking.

Part of the introversion was that for some time I thought this was just me, however, I later gradually found out from others on OT VII that they were encountering similar difficulties.

To complete OT VII is a humongous cycle.  I finally did so in 2005.  Before being allowed on the Freewinds to do OT VIII the Freewinds insisted I had to be security checked at Flag again.  This introduction for the first time to the Freewinds didn’t leave me with a warm, fuzzy feeling.  It didn’t get warmer and fuzzier.  I arrived on the Freewinds expecting that the summit of Scientology service delivery would epitomize the greatest amount of ARC anywhere.  Instead, I couldn’t believe the bad control I experienced.

Everything was micro managed to the hilt.  For example, I had some difficulty sleeping on the ship and needed to exercise in the evening to be fully sessionable the next day.  In the middle of my workout, all sweaty, I was ordered to the HGC and questioned by the Tech Sec why I wasn’t in session at 8 pm.  I never felt less free in my whole life and couldn’t wait to finish the service.  When I did finish OT VIII the examiner missed my FN and didn’t call it.  I was devastated.  Later on, she called me back and told me she missed it.  I was never so glad to leave.

The lesson learned here was that there is a tremendous dichotomy existing in corporate Scientology today.  For example, LRH says communication is the universal solvent but, in my opinion and experience, the Church prohibits free communication in many ways.  Corporate Scientology exerts stifling control over its parishioners – by the time one gets on OT VII one’s power of choice has been almost wiped out by the introversion they have brought about.

3.  In early 2000 while on OT VII I wrote to RTC requesting help with a cycle inToronto.  I was not satisfied with the way RTC handled the matter so I wrote to Executive Director International (Guillaume Lesevre) about it and I was subsequently dead filed by RTC.  I learned of this on my next 6 months check from an irate Flag MAA who assigned me a lower condition for questioning RTC and I had to do a major ethics cycle.

The lesson learned here was RTC won’t allow you to question them – if you do, you get dead filed.

4.      I was involved in an ongoing business dispute with my now ex partner (an OT VIII).   I decided to end the partnership and in late 2006 I proposed a 50/50 split which would have been a win/win arrangement.  He refused outright.  I tried for the next 18 months to resolve this directly between us.  This whole incident should have been a simple and easily resolved business partnership dispute.  It is the practice in Scientology that Scientologists are expected to use the services of WISE to get business disputes resolved rather than using the courts of law.  The involvement of WISE starting in 2008, and subsequently that of the Church, turned it into an incredibly arduous, punitive and costly cycle for me in particular.   In the Summer of 2008 my ex partner was on the Freewinds and, soon after returning, he advised me that the Freewinds MAA Samantha told him “to take control of the company and be at cause”.

Because of a legal gag order I am unable to go into all the details of what took place.  I can say that a WISE mediation was held in Fall 2008.   The WISE mediator ordered me to continue operating in partnership with my ex partner.  Believe it or not I reluctantly accepted this ruling but, within six months, things predictably fell apart.   WISE were unable to get anything resolved.  The Church now stepped up their participation considerably.  The WISE mediator arranged a meeting between himself, myself and the CO OSA CAN in her office and CO OSA interrogated me in a very unfriendly fashion about this whole situation.  She also asked me to lend money to my ex partner for a full WISE Dispute Resolution assuring me that he would pay me back.  The whole cycle had  become insane and it was now perfectly clear to me that justice would not be forthcoming from the WISE mediation, so I informed CO OSA that I would be suing my ex partner.

I then filed suit.  Two days after he was served (March 2009) we again agreed to attempt WISE mediation.  The mediation resulted in us splitting the files on a 50/50 basis (what I originally proposed in 2006) and each of us operated our business separately.  The WISE INT Enforcement Officer agreed that if I withdrew the suit there would be no further action or repercussions against me by WISE or the Church.

That turned out to be false – within two weeks Samantha, Freewinds MAA, ordered me to report immediately to the Freewinds for security checking under threat of a non enturbulation order and a declare.  I had little choice but to do so.  Once the security check took place I was flabbergasted to discover that a good part of it concerned disagreements with management rather than the business dispute.  I was told by the MAA and the D of P how they salvaged my life and how grateful I should be to give donations to the IAS and the Book campaigns for all they had done for me.  This cycle cost me about $90,000.  My ex partner was never forced to undergo such punitive measures to my knowledge.

Problems arose with the mediated settlement in the spring of 2011 and the WISE mediator failed to take steps necessary to remedy it.  I resigned from the Church on June 1, 2011 and again sued my ex partner on June 3, 2011.  The legal matter was finally settled in January 2012.

Lessons learned from this were that the Church, in my opinion and based on experience, lies about not getting involved in business matters of its parishioners, and that neither WISE nor the Church properly follow their own Justice policies.

CONCLUSIONS

I have experienced many great wins and life changing cognitions in Scientology.  But I have also realized that I have been the recipient of numerous and continuing subtle but destructive forms of indoctrination which combined into a highly effective form of mind control.  The net effect of this is a being with reduced self determinism with less control over his/her own life, and who blindly follows any and all direction coming from the Church.

It is well known that the only way to truly control people is to lie to them.  I have observed that the Church of Scientology is engaging in the use of lies on a wholesale basis for the purposes of controlling their parishioners.  I can’t believe now that I bought the Church line that it is unethical to read anything except LRH or to engage in activities other than those directly supporting Scientology (as stated by the Freewinds C/S).  I was truly shocked to recognize the diabolical mixture of good and evil that today’s Church of Scientology consists of.

I now understand why a self determined being such as myself would be so receptive to mind control practices as to blindly follow non survival and unjustifiable Church orders and mistreatment.  It is incredible to me now how long it took me to really wake up from my super-indoctrinated and somnambulistic state.

I can no longer be part of the Church of Scientology.  I now consider myself to be an Independent Scientologist.  My life has never been happier nor more stress free than since I left the Church.

Scientology Inc v Debbie Cook – The End Game

Debbie Cook and Wayne Baumgarten have settled their litigation with Scientology Inc in a manner satisfactory to themselves.

For context I think it is important that people read my 12 February post Battle of San Antonio: A Review, and pay particular attention to its conclusion:

Greg Hughes, Debbie Hughes, Angie Blankenship and others similarly situated cannot take solace in the lack of official precedent invalidating their agreements.  I know they would love to do so as some kind of synthetic balm for their aching consciences.   Fact of the matter is, despite the lack of written judicial decision, the precedent has been set and it is clear as a bell to any literate individual aware of the Battle of San Antonio. David Miscavige has not nor can he use the courts to enforce his unlawful, unconscionable cover-up contracts.  We have proven that when push comes to shove those “agreements” are as worthless as the paper they were written on.   Further, we have established that when Miscavige attempts to isolate and tie anyone to the whipping post, there is a formidable movement out here that will protect them and lead them safely to the promised land; whether they agree with and support our aims or not.

All who contributed please take a huge win.  You got us to exactly where I predicted you could take us with your contributions.  The product was better than any of us could have expected.

Miscavige read and heeded it.  He bought the finest Texas legal muscle money could buy – and brought in attorneys from Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C. to join them.  All to get him out of the mess he had gotten himself into.  But, like I wrote on 12 February, the damage had been done and there would be no unringing of the bell.

There was not much purpose for the case to go forward.  Even if Scientology Inc prevailed at trial all they could win would be a money award, with little to no chance of ever collecting anything.

On Debbie and Wayne’s side the only thing to gain was further opportunities for exposure of what has already been exposed; and the potential of an award for their limited counterclaims. The 9 Feb testimony of Debbie was for the most part all that the world at large would be interested in hearing from her.

That testimony became public record on 9 February and that toothpaste can’t be put back into the tube: Temporary Injunction Hearing 9 February 2012

The cost of creating those few potential future opportunities to air what had already been aired would have been enormous – because Scientology Inc’s patented “punitive defense” technology was already gearing up huge law firms in four states.

‘Punitive defense’ technology includes making the litigation the front and center activity of the defendants’ lives for the rest of their lives, literally.  In this case it would have also taken virtually all Independent network energy available for the next several years to sustain the defendants.  And that would have required using existing communication channels, including this one, for intensive fund raising; something that would violate the very purpose of at least this communication channel.  At best, it would have been a terrible waste of potential energy.

Debbie was not joking about the physical toll her experience took on her.  When she left Scientology Inc in 2008 her first goal was to recoup her physical health so as to live a decent, healthy life.  It didn’t work out that way, primarily for the simple reason that the entire video-taped ‘settlement’ proceeding orchestrated and directed by Miscavige was a sham production.  A Communist show trial to cover Miscavige’s ass and keep Debbie under his thumb even after her physical release.

A woman from Australia whom I refer to as Grace once posted on this blog the following quote by Nelson Mandela:

“Only free men can negotiate, prisoners can’t enter in contracts”

What you all accomplished by your support – quite in addition to those products detailed in the 12 Feb post The Battle of San Antonio – was to put Debbie into a position where she actually could negotiate with the monster to obtain the means to accomplish what she originally wanted to during her 2008 escape.   She was able to negotiate as a human being on equal footing and not as a prisoner.

What Miscavige was forced to do was to roll the clock back to late 2008 at the Hacienda Gardens and deal with Debbie Cook, but this time Debbie Cook was afforded the civil and human rights she was entitled to as a citizen of the world.  In the case of her parting of ways with Scientology Inc that meant being represented by competent legal counsel.  Thanks to you all, she had Sugar Ray Jeffrey – and like I’ve noted before, I would take one Ray Jeffrey over all the lawyers Scientology Inc money can buy, combined.

When it comes right down to brass tacks, I consider one of our first jobs on the Scientology Inc front as seeing to it that the constitutional, civil and human rights of people abused by the machine are restored and respected.

In this case, that very end product was achieved.   It was accomplished  by way of the force – and more importantly the ideas – that only the Independent network could muster on short notice.

And it was achieved with an exclamation point. That is, the abuses that were published that never otherwise would have seen the light of day are forever available on the public record.  Those truths well disseminated are protecting others from receiving the same treatment Debbie did and will continue to into the future.  Those truths will also continue to assist others to see through the matrix which they have plugged themselves into.

Because of the nature of the beast, I am not in a position to know all the details of the confidential settlement.  I had to bow out in order for it to materialize.  I demanded to be satisfied on one score before taking my leave from the process: a guarantee that nothing would be agreed upon that would detract from or nullify the accomplishment of the 9/10 Feb Battle of San Antonio.

Just before I took my leave I informed the defendants and their counsel that in order for settlement to be effectuated Miscavige absolutely would demand a pound of my own flesh in the form of statements from the defendents that he would consider harmful to me.   I told them, and Mike Rinder agreed as it might apply to him, that there would be no hard feelings if they simply told Miscavige everything they know about us – just the facts.  We have nothing to hide, and only look upon our relationship with Debbie and Wayne as an experience of giving help with no expectation of return.  Knowing the history of Miscavige directed Scientology Inc settlements over three decades, I am  confident that some exaggeration and manufacturing of fact may have been required.  I’m mentioning it in the event the truth wasn’t good enough and you wind up reading something about us from that sector that is less than admirable; you will know the circumstances from which it originates.

I have certain obligations of discretion given my role on the legal team. However, I am letting David Miscavige know right here and now that should the slightest twist of truth be published and attributed to the defendants, the gloves will come off – and I will fill the world in on the details of what really went down in technicolor.

Also from my knowledge of the beast, I am fairly confident that part of settlement includes that there will be no future participation of Debbie and Wayne in the Independent movement. If you read my posts on this matter during the first three weeks of January, you’ll understand why I don’t consider that surprising nor alarming.

I thank Wayne and Debbie for having the courage to go through what they did.  At the end of the day it will continue to help many others.

Each of you who contributed either monetarily or otherwise are highly commended.  I have no regrets for giving up three and one half months of my life to this cause, and I don’t think any one of you should either.

The positive changes this chapter will cause on the inside and outside are predictable.   Miscavige simply cannot afford a replay – let alone many times over – of the Battle of San Antonio.  And that fact will create vast, salutary ripple effects.

Update: Some perspective from Steve “Thoughtful” Hall:

The battle in which we are engaged, is not a battle of an individual vs. the monied cult. Actually, it’s not even the group of Independent Scientologists vs. the cult. It is truth vs. the cult.

In any battle where truth is advanced, that is a battle we have won. Regardless of outcome for the individuals involved. The battle is not about individuals.

We are guerrillas fighting a standing army. Guerrillas win when they avoid capture and live to fight again.

Our sole weapons consist of confront, communication and the truth that emerges as a result of that confront and communication. Time is on our side. The universe (there’s nothing inherently wrong with it) is on our side. The whole 4th dynamic (man is basically good and only 20% are PTS) are on our side. As LRH says, we work in eternity and the lions of eternity are closing ranks together on this very battlefield.

We have ALL the tech and the ability to move up the Bridge freely and inexpensively. That was the hardest battle and it is a battle already won.

We are fighting a broad front of encysted lies. Every blow releases more truth and moves us further. The only measure of advance is truth.

Our armored divisions consist of tanks of truth. As individuals living on eight dynamics, we drive those tanks forward by turns, staying in the cockpit as long as we can. The going is sometimes tough. Save yourself before it gets too hot and live to fight another day. Others are ready to take your place and give you time to catch your breath.

In any battle the acid test is did we advance the front of truth? One either believes in auditing or one doesn’t. This is auditing, no different from a pc confronting his personal bank. Truth blows the lies away.

Our group is Fabian and resilient, battle-tested and street-wise, seasoned and determined. We have been there, done that. We know the rules Miscavige plays by. We know his crimes and where to find more crimes because we know who and what we are dealing with. We know his weaknesses. We have prediction, he does not. All he has is filthy cash, gained dishonestly.

As LRH says, there is no such thing, really, as failure. There is only a failure to persist. And as long as we refuse to give up, our ultimate victory is assured.

A line in the sand has been drawn.

Pity those on the wrong side of history. Long will they live before they live it down.

And a little something for those who walk away with some of their blood, sweat and tears on the field:

Idle Orgs — The Proof

By Mike Rinder

Remember the FIRST “Ideal Org.”  It was NOT Buffalo. Buffalo was bought with money obtained from a suit the church filed against an eminent domain action to demolish the old org building to make way for a freeway off ramp. But Buffalo did set the wheels in motion that unleashed Miscavige’s Masonry Frankenstein,  now terrorizing cities everywhere.

In fact, the first “Ideal Org” was Tampa.

I commented recently that Flag was made “responsible” for Tampa Org by Miscavige.  After the Buffalo building fiasco, he heard that Tampa was located in a strip mall, and that they were having trouble paying their rent and were being threatened with eviction.  To make a long story short, he then wound up Jenny Linson and Angie Blankenship and sent them off like rabid pit bulls to start gnawing on the legs of Flag executives and public to make them responsible for Tampa org.

Many “OTs” were persuaded to join staff, including the ED’s of both Tampa Day and Fdn and most of the tech staff and regges.  A lot of money was sucked out of Flag’s public to pay for buildings for Tampa:   the org and its “Community Center” as well as “Test Centers” in Ybor City, St Petersburg and Plant City.  THIS was the widely promoted “model Ideal Org” and was the pattern everywhere else was to follow.  The ribbon was cut with great fanfare in 2003 and in doing so Miscavige threw the switch on his first bricks and mortar Frankenstein monster (Joburg and Buffalo would soon rise from the dead to follow).

The good Dr. Frankenstein heralded this as the future of Scientology and how the planet would be cleared.

With the artificial influx of staff, money and public from the FSO, Tampa SHOULD have become the biggest org on earth. Let’s not forget, the church has told the media there are 12,000 Scientologists in the Tampa Bay area (Karin Pinnochio Pouw recently told The Independent in the UK that one in five people in Clearwater is a Scientologist… that’s about 21,000 JUST in Clearwater which is about 2 1/2% of the Tampa Bay total).  The FSO is NOT supposed to be the service org for Tampa Bay public. Even if 12,000 were only FSMing one person every 6 months, it would be 500 public onto service every week without Tampa doing ANYTHING to get new public through any other means.

Tampa Day was declared “SH Size” and told that the FSO was their “Universe Corps” – a cheap gesture by Dr. Frankenstein that had little significance as most of the staff were already Flag OTs and those that weren’t didn’t make it up the Bridge to Clear in Tampa Org anyway.

But, then last year, with much fanfare, the good doctor moved the Tampa “Ideal Org” from their model Ideal Org premises to “More Model More Ideal Org” premises “to facilitate their massive expansion.”  Everyone knew that was a lie. Tampa Org, along with his other palaces of excess, is like an autumn leaf: aesthetically pleasing to the eye but unquestionably dying if not dead.

So, what follows is hardly a big surprise.  But it is another of the stunning revelations that keep leaking out of the RCS that document what is REALLY going on, rather than the shermanspeak PR puffery that spews forth from the Emperor with no clothes.

One would be forgiven for thinking that 9 years after they were blazed across the headlines of the Scientology world as “the first model ideal org,” and then last year were moved into an 85,000 square foot building in order to “facilitate their expansion”, that Tampa would be a big, booming org, easily surpassing the size of Old St Hill.  After all, it’s run by OT’s.  It’s right here in the second largest concentration of Scientologists on earth.  It’s supported by Flag. CMO CW are their hands-on “management.”  THE model Ideal Org not making it in Tampa would be like a Mormon Temple failing in Salt Lake City.

Here is the message just sent out by the ED Tampa Fdn:

On Monday, April 09, 2012 11:36 11:36 “Lynn Irons” wrote:

Dear Kim,

Even with your busy schedule, I could really use your help on something:

I am looking for several exec-type personnel as I have some holes in my EC/AC and need to get some competent people on and helping put this Ideal Model Org there.

It is quite an adventure (as you well know) and with a few critical postings, I feel we can reach St Hill Size very soon. We have our ‘Non-E’ campaign launching in a week or so which is a carefully laid out media blitz using our $250K fund. A new Dianetics Campaign might also launch by May 9th, as well. I have most everything in place and this could drive us over the top.

I would really appreciate it if you could take a little time and scour you contacts and give me some names and contact info of people that you would like to be on your team if you were in my place.

I really want to give COB a jewel of an Org in exchange for all that he has done for us.

ML, Lynn

Did you actually gag over his last line? I did.  Anyone who thinks the RCS is not a cult of personality, is in a KoolAid induced daze. And the old accusation that this is L.Ron Hubbard’s cult has long since been put to rest by Dear Leader, Dr. Miscavige. We’re not “Clearing the Planet”, we’re not even “doing it for Ron” any more.  In today’s corporate Scientology world, we are “doing it for Dave.”

To those who know him, Lynn Irons has a reputation as a sleazeball.  But this is brown-nosing that would qualify him for the butt-kisser Olympics.

And for any who still object to me or others saying the church is dead – here is Exhibit 1001.

Massive, Straight Up and Vertical International Expansion – Really Dave?

By Mike Rinder

There have been many posts and numerous comments on this blog mocking the overhyped “expansion news” that Miscavige feeds his captive audience of clubbed seals at events.  They are well trained to applaud every time there is a loud explosion and a line bursts through the top right corner of a graphic on screen. No other stimulus is required:  disbelief is suspended and all critical thinking is cast aside. He tosses out stinking fish and the seals don’t even stop to chew – they swallow it whole and with relish.

Of late, in response to exposing the truth about the sham campaigns (“give us money so we can air ads all over the world” and none are ever seen by anyone except maybe on the Home Shopping Network at 4am), Miscavige bit the bullet and started shelling out for ads to appear on mainstream, high profile TV shows in the US.  Of course, he can’t say something different in these ads to what he says at his events, hence they tout:  “growing faster today than anytime in history”,   “more than 10,000 churches, missions and groups”, “welcoming over 4.4 million new people each year” and “grassroots groups starting every 24 hours.” Unfortunately, no matter how untrue or misleading these statements are, Miscavige knows no regulatory entity is going to bother taking the church to task for false advertising.

But , as anyone who has been to an org in the last 20 years knows, in the real world you cannot see any of this massive international expansion other than empty bricks and mortar, purchased with the blood extracted from the clubbed seals .

Even worse is the Mission network.  If this massive international expansion were to be evident anywhere, it would surely be at the entrance to the Bridge. Maybe it takes a while for everyone to flow up the Bridge to the orgs… (especially if the Bridge itself is blocked with Basics, 3 swing FNs, arbitrary blanket objectives etc etc), but it is not an unreasonable assumption to expect to see straight up vertical soaring to the heavens expansion with Missions springing up all over, flourishing and prospering.  Wow, you might even expect to see things approaching the days of missions with hundreds of staff and huge course rooms and HGCs (think Riverside in its heyday).  They don’t even have the “Ideal Mission” program rolling – JT paid for ONE in Ocala FL (it’s completely empty, Christie and I were the ONLY people in there on a Saturday afternoon other than the Hungarian receptionist who had been brought into the country at the invitation of Scientology friends).

There is another datum that Miscavige has driven home – “you are known by your nearest delivery org.” He hammered this in on the FSO – forcing them to “be responsible for” Tampa org.  This is how he got the money to buy the original Tampa buildings and now defunct test centers.  From FSO public.  He turned  CMO CW into the “management” of Tampa.  SO staff were sent to Tampa to fill posts.  FSO public were press ganged into joining staff there or sending their children to join (“It’s command intention”).   Local FSO public were put on course and into the HGC.  And it became the dumping ground for FSO reject public.  The FSO was NEVER intended to be a management org for Tampa. That is CLO EUS’s job.  But it didn’t matter to Master Manager Miscavige.  He has done the same with organizations around the world – somehow AOSHUK is responsible for London (though Brighton is closer…) etc etc.  Wherever its convenient to make others wrong, he jumps at it.

Ok Master Manager Miscavige – how do you explain this? The “Redlands Mission.” Redlands Mission RIP

Come on Dave, don’t be shy — this is (was) the closest Mission to RTC Headquarters. This is the closest Scientology delivery to your $70 million palace.

This is your massive straight up and vertical booming international expansion?

Maybe it just hasn’t osmosed from your home in neighboring Riverside County into San Bernardino County yet? Or from neighboring LA County for that matter? Maybe they don’t get TV there in San Bernardino?  Maybe they are just out of step with the rest of the world?  Maybe none of the 10 million Scientologists are in San Bernardino County?  Certainly none of the 10,000 Orgs and Missions are…. Perhaps the 2 million residents of San Bernardino are just not part of the 12,054 new people flooding into Scientology every day because there is something in their drinking water?

Dave, this building is less than 30 minutes from RTC HQ straight down Highway 10. You pass within a mile of it every time you roll by in your bulletproof armored van, or your BMW, Saleen Mustang, Mazda RX 7, Miata, Landrover Discovery, Ford Expedition, Acura RL or whatever else you have on the West Coast these days.

Dave, how about an explanation for this photo taken just 3 days ago by Sinar Parman?

And if you think they just  moved to “Ideal Mission” (or any) premises, you would be mistaken – they are no longer part of the straight up and vertical world of David Miscavige. They no longer exist.  In fact, the only Dianetics and Scientology in the entirety of San Bernardino County is the CST property at Rim of the World.

Dave, I am sure there is a good explanation and we are just missing it. A small group of apostates has taken over San Bernardino?  We are leaving the clearing of San Bernardino to last because they have been hard to work with on the permits for the fences at CST? Marty Rathbun infiltrated the Mission and they became squirrel?

But wait, maybe that is really unfair. Maybe we should only be talking about Dave’s closest org? Unfortunately for you Dave, its Orange County.

Check the state of Orange County Org out here.

Now, that promo piece is sort of like the Tel Aviv org video. Makes you think that the building is really done.  All nicely lit up and looking slick.

But the OC Weekly followed up with this, including some very relevant information from Luis Garcia.

And here is an even more recent shot (this week) of that very same building your promo piece showed lit up and open:

Real state of OC org

Dave, do we have another anomaly in the big picture of massive, straight up and vertical international expansion? Perhaps its really rocking and rolling everywhere except Orange County (and San Bernardino County, and Santa Barbara county and San Diego County… )?  Funny, OC used to be a large org and things were rocking and rolling. Back when they delivered Dianetics and Scientology rather than just being a roosting house for IAS and Idle Org vultures.  There has got to be some explanation for this very public failure in the center of “the largest concentration of Scientologists on the planet.”  Surely you can explain this Dave?

Your closest org AND closest Mission are falling behind, or have dropped out altogether, in the straight up and vertical stampede to planetary clearing?

Or maybe, just maybe, you are a bald-faced liar.

Scientology’s Heretic

This weekend’s UK Independent magazine cover story hits kinda close to home.  Warning: contains juvenile descriptions of OT III data.

UPDATE 4/7: GAWKER coverage.

I am informed that Scientology Inc is already spamming the Independent’s site with hate messages, including a full Freedom magazine article, in response.

Never a dull moment.

David Miscavige Killed Lisa McPherson

Mike Rinder wrote the following to clarify some comments he made about Lisa McPherson in his Village Voice interview.  I then wrote my own post below that which expands upon Mike’s and connects some dots and which lead to the carefully chosen words that constitute the title of this article.

Mike’s Post:

I left some in mystery concerning Lisa McPherson.  I told Tony Ortega that I had not known Miscavige had C/Sed her to attest to Clear (just a couple of months before she became psychotic) until after I had left the Sea Org, in spite of working on the criminal and civil case for 4 years. This has led to a number of questions and speculation about the significance of this.

I did not explain my view that it was not that his squirrel C/Sing killed her (and it WAS squirrel – Lisa McPherson was certainly nowhere approaching the state of Clear), it was the fact that Miscavige himself had been personally involved in supervising her case. That set in motion a chain of catastrophic decisions based on the concern that “to not handle her would be regarded as an effort to make COB wrong.”

So, when Lisa was brought to the Fort Harrison and in violation of VERY specific directives never to have a Type III at Flag, and in violation of the C/S Series, the Snr CS FSO, Alain Kartuzinski went and personally visited Lisa to try to calm her down and reassure her that he would ensure everything was OK.  I could never understand his blatant violation of the CS Series and the Introspection Rundown references, nor the Base Flag Orders from LRH.  From there, the unusual solutions and handlings snowballed as the unusual solutions kept adding to the craziness – she should not have been there, but then they tried to deliver a non-standard “Introspection Rundown” (squirreled in MANY ways) and as it was not producing any result, they kept on hoping.  Lisa should have been in some location where she could have gotten non-invasive help with medical practitioners available (she DID die of a pulmonary embolism – it happens all the time in hospitals with doctors on call – so it is not certain that medical attention would have saved her life, but there is a better chance of it than in a hotel room at the Fort Harrison with people terrified of calling in a doctor for fear of consequences).

But the craziness started with Alain – who had been being berated by Miscavige for being “incompetent” for not having “correctly CSed Lisa” and so Miscavige had “stepped in to put things right” and ordered that she attest to Clear. A month or so later she underwent her FIRST Introspection Rundown at Flag with some apparent success.  That too was a factor in Alain’s decisionmaking.

I do not believe any of the people who were involved with Lisa McPherson were doing anything other than trying to help her. I do think the stupid decisions that were made stemmed primarily from Miscavige’s involvement in her case earlier, setting the stage for unusual, out tech “solutions” that were implemented. Things I never understood, until I realized afterwards what had happened.

Marty’s post:

The following did not become clear to me until I had spent another twelve years handling “Clear” case sort outs both in and outside the church.  In the early 2000’s I handled a number of cases who had some level of uncertainty as to their own achievement of the state of Clear.   If one understands the St Hill Special Briefing Course (SHSBC) and one understands further L Ron Hubbard clarifications and developments with respect to the state of Clear after the SHSBC (Dianetic Clear Special Intensive – DCSI – and Clear Certainty Rundown – CCRD), there is no more simple cycle of action in the universe than sorting out whether an individual is Clear or not.  Because I was working on little else than the recovery and Bridge progress of Tom Cruise and the Lisa McPherson civil cases between 2001 and 2004 when I left the church of Scientology, I had zero exposure to what Miscavige was busily implanting across the Scientology world: the utter complication of Clear certainty procedure for the purposes of caving people in and controlling the resulting wreckage to extract money.  That became, for a lack of a better word, crystal clear only after I left and dealt with a number of people who had been subjected to Miscavige’s Black Dianetics Clear Invalidation rundown – BDCI.

Scientology is predicated upon infinity logic, which holds that absolutes are unobtainable.  The closest thing to an absolute in Scientology in my view is the state of Clear.  L Ron Hubbard notes in the CCRD material that the meter phenomena that accompanies the statement of the state by a Clear is UNMISTAKABLE.  And anyone who has audited it honestly can attest that is about the most absolutely accurate thing L Ron Hubbard ever wrote.

About the second most absolute datum that Hubbard ever laid down was that ONE DOES NOT AUDIT A CLEAR ON DIANETICS OF ANY KIND.   If one truly understands the technology, the mind, and theta (spiritual elan vital) one knows that to violate that injunction could have devastatingly destructive implications for the spiritual and mental well-being of the recipient.

All of this is all the more acute for a public who is being handled by the very top, cream of the crop “A” team at the Mecca of Technical Perfection (Flag).  Put that statement on steroids when the Pope himself is directly controlling every aspect of it.  The point being, in the mind of the public there is no question that this is the very last resort.  That mindset is, “if I am fucked up after this, then I am fucked up for good, forever.”

Lisa Mcpherson was fed the Clear cognition (that realization that – given it is accompanied by the UNMISTAKABLE meter phenomena mentioned above – signifies a person has honestly made it to Clear) many years before David Miscavige bypassed the entire international tech hierarchy to personally write a lengthy C/S directly to Lisa.  Anybody knows that when a clear cog feeding occurs (and the pc is extremely obsessed with obtaining the culturual status that comes with being declared Clear), C/Ses and and auditors have got to be extremely competent and wise in navigating the individual to the actual accomplishment of the state of Clear. The Miscavige C/S informed Lisa McPherson in essence that every other C/S and every other auditor she’d dealt with for the past ten years was criminal and out tech and only he, David Miscavige the Pope himself, understood that she in fact was Clear.

Not surprisingly, within weeks Lisa had a psychotic break and was at the Fort Harrison receiving an Introspection Rundown in the summer of 1995.  I say not surprisingly, since Lisa had to know something was very not right – the apex of the spiritual freedom she sought for years turned out to be the same old same whatever had been going with her mind all along. With an Introspection Rundown administered by Flag technical staff – without Miscavige micro-managed intervention – Lisa came out of it and began to live life and produce fairly well for a while.

Until, David Miscavige imposed a months long onslaught of desperate, out-tech auditing programs.  Those programs were enforced by his unquestioning, and all-powerful, RTC representative at the Flag Land base.  Lisa’s auditor was the Snr C/S Flag (Alain Kartusinski), and so again, there was no question in her mind that her mind was in the hands of those who were her last resort.  Lisa received months of aggressive Miscavige C/S’s most dealing with evil purposes and heavy listing – violating the C/S Series injunction against swinging for the fences (going for home runs rather than working on a gradient, the latter being most important particularly with an over-restimulated case).  Miscavige enforced False Purpose Rundown and even Expanded Dianetics, and to top it off listing on top of listing.   And all the while Lisa was left to struggle through it thinking, “this is what I spent my entire adult life pursuing, Clear.”

That Lisa McPherson went insane during this ordeal should be no surprise to tech trained people.  Her auditor, Alain, with zero control over this programming and C/Sing, had been reduced to propitiating to Lisa to keep her in affinity with him as auditor. He spent more time out of session commiserating with her than in session auditing her.

And there is the context in which to evaluate Mike’s mention above that there was no introspection rundown ever delivered to Lisa McPherson during her second, and final, tragic psychotic break.  It was the desperate leading the desperate.  To complicate matters, the RTC Representative ordered that Lisa be held on the Flag Land Base, based on precedent set by Miscavige having ordered earlier Flag publics who had had psychotic breaks to be similarly held, and to be directly supervised by the RTC Represenative.  To complicate matters further, the RTC Representative was in a complete prison cell of Miscavige’s own construction.  To report to Miscavige that his C/Sing and programming had resulted in a psychotic break would have been suicide for her and worse. So, now everyone involved in the handling of Lisa’s psychotic break were simply hoping she’d come out of it with doting care and love – and all the while trying to keep the episode quiet.  To complicate matters even further, when it was apparent that Lisa was deteriorating physically the RTC representative and Alain in their horrific fear of Miscavige vengeance, began rationalizing and justifying that Lisa was “calming down.”   And Lisa wound up calming down all right, she calmed down to death.

L Ron Hubbard was not joking around in the fifties when he warned about the specter of the potential use of Black Dianetics.

With 20/20 hindsight it is becoming more clear to me now.

Lisa McPherson was killed at the Flag Land Base.

David Miscavige killed Lisa McPherson.

David Miscavige has been doing little else since than attempting to prove himself right by imposing on all Scientologists that which he already imposed on Lisa McPherson.

Scientology Disconnect & Facebook Nazis

Scientology Inc has denied that they are behind any disconnections that its parishioners may wish to participate in.  They say the latter are only engaging in the protected, voluntarily activity of exercising their religious right to “shun.”   They contend in court and in the media that Corporate Scientology has nothing to do with the process and does not advise nor participate in advising, let alone ordering, anyone to disconnect from anyone.
