The healing game

Regular commenter Virgil Samms submitted the following wise observations in italics below. My additional observations and opinions follow in regular text:

From: Science of Survival, Pg 338.

“There are, one could say, four distinct sources of aberration. The first is occasioned by phrases in engrams which specifically dictate certain obsessions, compulsions, repressions, delusions, neurosis, and psychoses. Such phrases, however, have command value on the analyzer, which does not know they exist below it in the reactive mind, only to the degree that the case is charged with entheta. …

“Therefore, there is a second type of aberration source which is simply the amount of charge there is on the case. This might be called mechanical aberration. It does not stem from specific commands but stems from mental inefficiency by reason of cumulative entheta….

“The third kind of aberration is environmental and is the result of aberrated persons and situations in the individual’s present time environment. This is normally temporary, but cumulative environmental entheta has a chronic effect in the case. …

“The fourth type of aberration is educational, being the cumulative entheta of the culture in which the preclear was raised, the irrationality and bad data he has received as a result of his education – by parents, in schools and by experience.” – L Ron Hubbard

The first type is, of course, handled by auditing out the engrams.

The second type is handled with destimulation, auditing, assists, word clearing and so forth.

But paying attention to the third and fourth kinds of aberration explains being in the Sea Org from the 80’s forward. The amount of entheta was unbearable but I also found myself dramatizing the aberrations that now seem to all stem from DM. I want to point out to the people who post on your blog that there is a good chance of there being cumulative amounts of this type of entheta on their case. This is handled by looking at the truth in what was and is there in the Sea Org.

We all know that we found what we had been looking for to solve our own questions as to our unique existence on this planet and what was happening on this planet. Ron explained ARC=U to us and we were suddenly Understanding that our heretofore behavior was wrong and needed to change. We found TRs and learned how to communicate properly to another being. Then we practiced ARC with our TRs and life was sweet because we were treating others with respect and dignity and received the same in kind.

Then we got onto staff in order to salvage this planet and we ran into heaping amounts of entheta. The dichotomy was this: The closer we got to the top of the org board the crazier life became until we found ourselves doubting whether we were suppressive or not.

But look at what LRH intended for us to be like and then what you envisioned yourself to be like. Then throw away what you were socially and educationally taught in the Sea Org. Sure we all learned to be tough and how to get products and all of that, but there is a way to be tough and in ARC. Read HCO PL Ethics Presence and look at what he is saying there. He is talking about ARC! DM was NEVER in ARC. He might have acted like it but I know I never got a warm fuzzy feeling around the man.

Understand, there are the 3rd and 4th types of aberrations as per the above and understand that we have gotten a lot of aberration from the Sea Org and from being on staff or just plain being a public at FSO going OT.

Virgil has made some powerful and truthful observations in my estimation. I think you can add to the resolution of all of those types of aberration the three valid therapies. Those are change of environment, exercise-nutrition-health, and education. Don’t ever forget the powers of those. You don’t need a formal auditor, you don’t need a formal org, you don’t need a formal anything to get inestimable gain from the application of the three valid therapies.

Virgil cites from Science of Survival. I highly recommend reading, or re-reading, that text as fullfillment of the education step, or as a therapy in and of itself. If one fully grasps the theta-mest theory set forth in SOS, one can very neatly consolidate one’s gains attained through the 3D engram running we are all engaged upon, the three valid therapies, and whatever other therapy – formal or informal – each of us may engage in. The more enturbulated theta one frees – BY WHATEVER MEANS – the more free theta one enjoys and commands, and thus the more entheta one can disenturbulate. Of course, that process continually increases one’s store of free theta. It begins to work like an ascending spiral – sort of like the dwindling spiral in reverse.

Thanks Virg.

  1. Great comments by the both of you on a very simple, basic tech! Thanks for pointing it out.

  2. And to me this means that as a independent group of loosely connected individuals, regaining our theta — the planet can start to benefit from this free theta that was so frozen for so many years.

It would be fun to calculate the cumulative years we as independents have — just as a for-fun stat – and recognize that we hold that many years of theta getting unleashed to help the world —

And of course our still trapped friends and family … I’m betting, as we all are, that they start feeling more awake and alive and start stepping OUT of their bondage, not really knowing how it came to be.

I know that I helped myself tremendously going for long walks everyday, in a different direction, observing AND spending lots of time educating myself on nutrition. And did I mention — SLEEPING!!!

Great post Marty and Virgil — thanks.

  3. Aaahhh, what a wise post! It includes all those amongst us who were never so close to the top of the SO or intimately bound to staff because of keeping good relations with non-scientologists and/or have (un-)wittingly taken care of and benefits from broad application of the three valid therapies (in my case against sometimes wild invalidations from staff for doing so (à la thats-only-1Dy-orientation!-we-have-a-planet-to-clear!) There were moments where I questionned myself because of that – so I am/was already contaged but felt the healing, uplifting and enriching effects of broad education, of art and entertainment, of knowing about healty food and how to generally grant beingness to a body and participate in a public life outside the church. Being educated in those fields too give a mountain of opportunity to help especially those who never had that in the first place and additionally bought the exclusiveness of there-is-no-valid-tech-outside-scn-worth-knowing.
    Aaaah, what a wise post!

  4. Hey Marty,

Great post! Honest question: Do you feel that the current text of SOS in the new Basics format is still valid? I’m not certain if we need to worry about DM having corrupted/altered the tech or not, regarding the Basics. Any info on this would help. I’d love to think that I can actually USE the books I paid thousands for. Thanks much! Idle Org

  5. This is really Great.
I read S of S so many times and every time I learn from it…
Been in the wrong group or amongst people that, even if they say they are, but they are not in fact truly alligned with truth or your goals is very introverting.
To be able to have true friends and stable sane terminals can itself change a cold winter into a beautiful spring… just like that.
And this has nothing to do with the amount of work or challenge we are facing… When you are in a truly theta group of people… everything takes the light of a game… a game you enjoy.

  6. Virgil, I want to thank you for this wise and correct indication. This has helped me. And Marty, thank you for sharing Virgil’s observations, and for what you’ve added to them.

I just know that I feel better for having read them. Immensely better.

  7. This reminds me of one of my favotot scenes from the TV-series Kung Fu (1972)

  8. Thanks, guys. I especially like the cocept of the ascending spiral.
Since I made the cut about a month ago I’ve been experiencing more and more ARC for myself. But it’s more than arc – more like a genuine friendship- – like being an older brother to myself. I really dig it.

I guess this is for real dePTSing. So thanks again.

(totally off topic: Marty I can’t log onto friendsoflrh today. I get worried when this happens. Any data?)

I’ve been out of the church now for 1 year and 4 months. Through valid therapies I have been able to differentiate between myself and it. I am not trained enough to fully understand the mechanism of snapping terminals, however I believe this mechanism was operable for me early in my involvement. I came to identify my personal experiences of revelation and exhilaration with the organization in toto. This is a dangerous thing to do — assigning cause to something or someone not yourself.

My question: “How did I not see what was happening?” No matter, I am no longer naive.

  10. Whoa! Very nice.
It’s It’s been 2 years since my “change of environment” was applied after 35 years of staff (32 of it in the S.O.) And it’s not an instant recuperation. Being well into OT V,
the first type of aberration is pretty well in check. Ditto the second type – especially since routing out. The third type: well, temporary is a relative term, but the cumulative effect took it’s toll. The false data, the invalidation, the denial of self-worth and on and on did have a cumulative effect. After a full year, I was still spotting aberrative think which manifested itself in aberrative behavior. It’s a healing process (and adventure I might add). The cumulative effects of constant invalidation were and are pretty insidious, but can be overcome. Handling the fourth type of course, is a continuitng process and is extremely rewarding.
Discarding 3rd dynamic, false baggage is a continual relief (LFBDs).
    Than you for this post.

  11. Virgil and Marty
    Thanks for that!

Very interesting post when you look at this whole scene in relation to the Dangerous Environment.

Definition of Environment: The circumstances or conditions that surround one.

Without changing location in any way I have changed my own environment from one where every utterance could be covertly KRed (Things That Shouldn’t Be Reports are the new KRs now with no copy to the recipient), where I was attacked, invalidated and evaluated for, where money was the only language of ‘ARC’, where 3rd party and covert Black PR campaigns were rampant (I’m not talking OSA ops here, I’m talking about Scientology communities), where every friend was a potential enemy and the world was full of bad people.

On New Years Eve I attended my last social gathering with ‘Scientologists’ before I was outsted from the community for refusing to be a slave. New years resolutions consisted of individuals gazing to the heavens and wistfully stating that their entire goal for the coming year was to ‘finally go clear’ or ‘make it through the next OT level’. Sky high goals with no real tangible end in sight and no life or livingness goals in sight… Robots and Slaves.

Coming out of Doubt and risking the ‘loss’ of this Dangerous Environment enabled me to join this group fully. Here I have experienced and observed help, validation, love, forgiveness, granting of beingness, trust and unconditional friendship. Even the fights are fun!
That’s one change of environment I can live with.

For those who want to hold on to that Dangerous Environment for dear life… phew! let it go! Come walk in the sunshine with us.

The world is so much brighter now and yes Marty, as I begin to see my friends and loved ones come out of the trance, as I follow the stories of fellow beings who like the rest of us were viciously hurt and betrayed in the name of our religion, I can definitely say the healing has begun.

In this new environment it is safe to communicate and communication is the universal solvent.

What is Scientology? This is 😀

  12. One of the aberrations I saw a lot of was faux Tone 40. Tone 40 isn’t about yelling!

Obviously, someone had a crashing M/U on the word serenity.

    • I used to hate the phoney Tone 40 that was pushed upon me. I never wanted to have phoney tone 40. I have demonstrated real tone 40 at times.

I liked the post the Geir Isene wrote awhile back. He got an idea from Jason Beghe, which was something like “Scientology should be about YOU.” It is not worshipping the tool, it is reveling in the life or the product. It is the goal of Scientology that is important not the worshipping of Scientology. Geir used the analogy of the house and the hammer. It is the house that is important and is the real goal. The hammer is very valuable and the creator of the hammer is very valuable. But let’s not worship the hammer or the creator of the hammer if it get’s in the way of building the house.

To me phoney tone 40 is worshipping the ideas of Scientology instead of going for the real product.

      Alex

    • Amen!

  13. As I was reading the references made to the three valid therapies I kept asking myself…”Aren’t there four valid therapies?” Of course, Dn and Scn processing, education and change of environment are first and foremost in my mind when considering valid therapies but the fourth one, regulating the amount of mest which the individual should control, is one I don’t even consider. I mean, even though I recalled that there were four valid therapies, I was totally blank on what #4 was. But now that I have my SOS in my hands and am reading….”The fourth is the amount of mest which the individual should control. He can be given less if he has too much, he can be given more mest if he has not enough for his ratio of theta, or the mest which he is trying to control may be changed for him into another kind of mest (sublimation).” This makes a lot of sense and is one that I have only applied unknowingly. BTW, that excerpt came from the chapter, Dianetic Evaluation in BK One.

Also, at the end of The Tone Scale chapter, I spotted this….”ANYTHING which raises a person’s tone can be considered legitimate processig.” (emphasis on ‘anything’ is mine). Ummm….this opens some forbidden doors.

As a side note: I have been experiencing this intriguing phenomena of late. It seems that once I had pulled myself out of the CoS and even more so, now that I’m pulling myself out of Scientology, the philosophy, the more Scientology I am now able to see. Scientology shows up all over the place! Along this line of thought, last night I was watching a YT video of a talk being given by this guy named Duncan O’Finioan at Project Camelot’s Sept conference. Duncan was a subject in a first generation MK-Ultra super soldier project (received many, many PDH treatments). At the end of Duncan’s talk another person is talking about how this guy, with a similar story, was helped by his wife using Scientology and some other tool. If you’re interested here’s the link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knP2xOX0x_k

What I have become acutely aware of is that soon after I entered the realm of Scientology, I was fitted with a formidable set of blinders specifically designed to keep my attention focused on only one thing. Consequently, from Mar of 78′ to the fall of 95′, I did not look at the world around me, the “wog” world, except through multiple layers of filters composed of Scn indoctrination. Thus, my perception of the world, what was going on around the planet, was way out of wack. And ironically those same filters are were preventing me from being able to really see Scn.

A couple of weeks ago I began watching/listening to the many video interviews that Project Camelot has been producing for the past few years. These people interviewed really get into some wild stuff, even for a Scientologist who’s listened to some pretty wild stuff from LRH. The interesting thing is, though, that the more of these interviews I watch the better understanding I have of LRH, Scn and the CoS (missing pieces are getting filled in). Also, I have been surprised that in these interviews Battlefield Earth and Mission Earth scenarios abound.

    The human journey…it’s a trip!

    • Understanding a subject is having control over it.

The next step beyond that is what makes live worth living.

    Virgil and Marty,

Thanks for the loving communication. Applying the three valid therapies is exactly what I have been doing for the past 6 months. I have not been conscious of applying the therapies as such, I just naturally gravitated toward those actions which, in a way, seems to validate them as valid therapies all the more. Thanks for aiding my education.

    • craig h,
I think you’ve stated this brilliantly; you’ve naturally gravitated toward application of these data without ‘conscious’ knowledge you were doing so.

They are life after all, and more than any ‘exam’ or ‘cert’ or ‘pass’, life is where they apply.

You’ve added to my education too, thanks!

  15. Well written article . Lot of truth. There was little if no ARC. When I decided to remove myself from that scene I regained me again. Thanks Virgil and Marty.

  16. Virgil and Marty you speak sooth. Case gain giving sooth in fact. I can use these points and tools to better the lot of myself and others. Hell we can a ll use them.

And of course the fact that two people would take the time and trouble to lay these points out, to help others in the true spirit of ARC, is the very essence of Scientology.

    Thank you my friends

  17. Thanks Vigil and Marty!

This data from SOS definitely applies.

The amount of latent case gain I experienced when leaving the suppressive environment at the Org was like going release for the first time.

Moving out of the mass that has become the “Church of Scientology”!

    Talk about over restimulation!

During the latter part of my time there I used to have to put tons of hand cream on my hands to get it in normal range!

And since leaving my TA has been between 2 & 3 constantly with mostly a clean or floating needle.

Before when I was there it was as the Ol’man says “dirtier than a dish rag” because of the constant full time dramatization of E-meter Drill 20, with out the cleaning the needle part of the drill.

    Sheeeesh!!!!!

    Any way.

Thanks guys for rehabbing that win 🙂

  18. With regards to healing, I also recommend reading ‘Self Reliance’ by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Re: “…by whatever means..” I found that once I was free to discover other things this world had to offer, other than scientology, I finally destimulated. I took classes on literature, history, political sciences. I joined a book club and running/triathalon groups and met people who were interesting and fun and had different viewpoints. I went to museums and discovered amazing art. I’ve been more inspired by people I’ve met outside the church than anyone I met while inside. For me it was important to broaden my thinking beyond Scientology. There’s a lot to gain from being outside of the confines of the church. Much of it can contribute to freeing one’s enturbulated theta, if you will.

  19. Very excellent write up Virgil.

Right indications all the way. Good job.

Marty’s blog continues to blow charge for me whether reading other posts
or venting my own thoughts. It has been a truly therapeutic/cathartic experience for me.
I am now inspired to re-read Science of Survival.

    Marty said ~~
the three valid therapies. Those are change of environment, exercise-nutrition-health, and education.

I would like to give a testimonial (Success Story!) on how that worked for me.
Leaving the SO, (total change of environment) I became athletic in terms of exercise work outs and then went for endless computer training.
I am a VEGAN and super healthy.
These simple things changed my life.
I am no longer in a blanket fog of mental mass.
Revenue wise I now make in 2 days what I earned in one year in the SO.
    !!!!!!!!!!!!
Since joining Marty’s blog (I must be doing SOMETHING right) I took a huge promotion in the company I work for.
I am now in the top 10% of wages earners in the USA.
I am the kind of target FSO and IAS would drool to hit on. LOL.
I work in an environment of total CREATE without any BLOWBACK from Seniors.
I actually have a sane productive 3d in the workplace.
I haven’t heard anyone yell and scream in the work place since I left the Sea Org !
I do not muse or ever think of SO or SO experiences while I live my life. It is almost like a past life or bad dream.
I do get into it when I am on the blogs in an effort to get some as isness or shared reality on
    those times.
Life is good. I work hard but I can stop and smell the roses WHENEVER I want and for HOWEVER long I want.
The big change is from OTHER-DETERMINISM and robotic obedience (within the SO) to SELF-DETERMINISM and calling the shots on my life, and having a full PASS to CREATE CREATE CREATE.
I enjoy running out group engrams on Marty’s blog.
I have developed quite an affection for a lot of the posters here.
    Long may this Blog reign.

WOW seems so inappropriate, this data has just blown so, so, so much charge in my own life. It comes so timely too.

I would just add one additional thing.

It behooves the right to disconnect from sources of enturbulation. This is the Disconnection policy correctly used.

If someone in your life is creating enturbulation, you have the right to refuse their communication and their influence in your life. Even if said some is dressed as your Church, MAA, Supervisor, Business Partner.

  21. Virgil & Marty,

Beautifully stated! I can attest from my personal experience that the application of the LRH tech you reference is spot on.

    Thank you.

  22. Great observation Virgil! You and Marty are both right. Thank you for sharing this with the group.

  23. Virgil’s post is very timely.

We are moving into uncharted territory as we move further and further from the influence of the C of S.

Our initial impulse may be to concentrate on exposing the truth about Scientology and stopping the abuses, but some people have been doing this for years and not getting the healing they deserve.

For all of the good that they are doing, they are paying a heavy penalty because many are leaving themselves stuck in the incidents of their Scn experiences. There has to be a way to reach these people and help them recover fully from their scientology engram.

Righteous anger is a powerful force, but when left in perpetual restim, it affects one’s ability to communicate effectively and to achieve results.

Those who have been in the SO or on Staff might make a great contribution to the speed of recovery of future departees by posting suggested programs for destimulation, auditing, assists, word clearing and so forth.

I would certainly add these as suggested reading for new arrivals to my web site and would include links to field practitioners who make a point of rehabilitating ex-staff and ex-public.

    • This is an excellent suggestion.
I got out almost 11 years ago now and mostly what I found was more entheta of a different form on the internet, from which I had to disconnect myself basically just to move forward and live life, raise my children, etc.
Something has changed in the ex-Scn universe that drew me back in. I can imagine it is the OT collective as it should be. And the articles, suggestions and comments you post to bring us back to a tech that works and how it should be applied in real life for real living.
      Thank you again!

  24. Great post.

As a public person I have experienced a lot of case gain and peace since deciding to stay away from the madness.

I always felt that Scientology could be a fine tuned organization that was run with logic and intelligence and ARC. Instead it has turned into a group that runs on irrationality, circuitry and false ARC.

When I re-read Science of Survival recently I coggged how the sec checking I was getting every 6 months was not bringing me up the tone scale. This was before I read about C/S series 73 being violated with mixing major actions, ie major sec checks combined with doing an OT level.

I think LRH would remove DM from post right now if he was still alive here on Earth. I do not believe that LRH would think that all of us in this independent movement were SP’s or insane. And even if he did it would not change my mind as to what I am doing. Because I see what I see and I am acting on what I observe for myself.

    Thanks again Marty!

    • “There is only one way, really, to get into a state of living, and that’s live! There is no substitute for an all-out, over-the-ramparts, howling charge against life. That’s living. Living does not consist of sitting in a temple in the shadows and getting rheumatism from the cold stones. Living is hot, it’s fast, it’s often brutal! It has a terrific gamut of emotional reactions.

  25. Having been on staff and in the SO for almost 2 decades, the cumulative dosage of entheta, sleep deprivation, malnutrition and radiation (starring into computer screen 24/7) has left quite some damage. Not to mention that after I had mustered up enough courage to leave I am now labeled a “dissaffected, freeloader, out-ethics scum, DB”

Well, thank you very much DM. You’re really messing with people’s minds. A true reversal of what Dianetics and Scientology are supposed to be all about.

At least I live now in a nice lovely environment, get enough sleep, eat good food and even excersise now and then and this has made a big difference in my health so far. I am less the wreck I used to be when still in the SO. Also, thanks to fine people like Marty, Steve, Dan, Mike, etc. I am getting my real education on what happened in SO hell. There is more damage to repair, but at least now I know to stay clear of the CofM.

  26. Thanks to both of you for this post.
Well I have to admit that for me, the change of environment was an excellent gain, but by far the Full Monty.
That didn’t occur until, after 4.5 yrs of being out (after 21 being in), until I discovered and connected with past friends who were essentially in the same boat as I, and saw the same things as I, but who were still willing to be my friend, to give me support/back-up, ARC and who said it was okay to apply Scientology to your life and live life without fear or the idea that “you are bad” all the time …. etc. That was and continues to be the Full Monty for me. And THAT is what I always imagined Scientology would be and how LRH had always intended it. Full of life, full of ARC, reaching out, supporting others, being there, observing, expanding, creating, prospering, having fun….
    Thanks to all of you,

  27. Just a quick reminder to some who may not know of some of the alterations of LRH’s tech. The following quote was REMOVED from PDC tape #20 Formative State of Scientology, Definition of Logic: “and if you ever do use any Black Dianetics, use it on the guy who pulled Scientology out of sight and made it so it wasn’t available. Because he’s the boy who could be electing himself ” the new order.” And we don’t need any more new orders. All those orders as far as I’m concerned have been filled.” LRH

That quote you will no longer see in the new PDC #20. I confirmed this by comparing my tape transcript to the CD transcript. This is altering the tech and is a High Crime as far as I am concerned.

Gee…I wonder why he removed that quote??

I actually worked in a for-real Scientology environment in 1972- 75 where we actually cared for other people and worked to make others better; where I got an 8 hour touch assist to get me out of excucuating pain; where we would go to someones house because they were spinning and give them an assist; when we controlled accident scenes at an intersection.

It was pure love. It was a time where I couldn’t wait to get up in the morning to go to post. Not like my final year in the Sea Org where I didn’t want to wake up for fear the nightmare continue.

God I miss those early days, but we can get them back. We just need to do what LRH tells us to do and we will be fine. This is just the start.

    • Thank you so much Virgil for this comment.

We ARE getting these days back…. I just had a taste of the world that you speak of, the world LRH talks about being possible. IT’S HAPPENING!!!!! I spent several days with Marty and Mike, Christie, Mareka — you know of what I speak, and you know the love, care and brilliant, true Scientology that made it all possible. We are in the right place, doing the right thing.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

  30. Virgil, excellent post.

It seems most here have much more tolerence then I. I was never able to deal with the off policy and and counter logic and constant battle with staff as a staff member which progressivly became worst as I moved from Org staff to S.O.

Example: Supervising CMO Executives at Flag which had the most Souless Robot TR’s I had ever witnessed. I pulled one aside and 2 w/c asked WTF was going on. And spent an hour handling PTSness, False Data, Hopelessness, post Dev_T and on and on and on. Being called to handle a PC who blew (threw the cans down and walked out) a “welcome to the SO Sec-Check” because of no r-factor, handling of recriuts pulled into FSO off the streets of Clearwater. These actions just went on and on and on and on. This was the beginning of my awakening and short stay in the SO, circa 1984.

It seemed there was many times more things to handle within Scn then outside. It was so much more easier to work with public (“the aberrated wog world”) then Org staff.

I many time thought maybe it’s just me I didn’t fit in.

How many here survived 20 and 30 years is a incredible.

  31. Thanks to both of you for what’s a timely reminder.

I got this email today with a quote from Steve Jobs. Thought it pertains to the ultimate problem Miscavige has had corralling free-thinking Scientologists. Ultimately, it’s a nice validation.

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do. “

  32. Virgil — if you are willing to share — where were you in the SO in 1972-75 for real scientology environment? — sounds a great deal like the early days of CCLA. With Yvonne.

  33. BTW,

There were also miracles happening amits all else that was going on.

There was as Vigils state, pure love and caring in many areas.

I wonder with all the theta beings here can we establish a group postulate of the return of that caring and love we all desire to see. The postulate of a new awkening of the spirit of Scn Ideals and scene as outlined by LRH.

Would a well stated and intened postulate put out by us as a group have an effect? I think so.

  34. What I always do as a manager is kick things off with a good, succinct, clearly stated PURPOSE. Anyone got one for us Indies?

  35. BRAVO, “Accent on Ability”

  36. Great post and thanks!!

Your description is very true. When I was a public things we alright. Yeah I was bombarded for more money for “this or that” campaign. I entered onto staff and was in HCO.

A world of difference. Suddenly you are on the side of trying to sell the hype and get people to join you. Your purpose is true.

My ultimate cognition when all was said and done was simple:

If you get yourself onto staff or in the Sea Org, you open yourself up to the injustice of stiff ethics gradients, comm evs, etc.

My staff story is one of horror in that regard. It all started with wanting to help, but yes, as I got higher on the org board so did the amount of justice threats if I didn’t conform to “such and such (off policy) order”.

That lead me to my cognition: The higher you go in Scientology (under current management) the more likely it is you will end up under some justice procedure that isn’t even carried out right … just my two pennies.
