  1. You know who else is a huge Alamo fan?

    Phil Collins: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/phil-collins-last-stand-why-the-troubled-pop-star-wants-to-call-it-quits-20110304

Kinda gives a whole nother dimension to this one:

    Rock on guys.

  2. And to think it was a woman spending time in Santa Anna’s tent that contributed to his downfall.
I predict Lou or one of the other Ladies of the Court will contribute to the final demise of DM. They know way, way too much and pressure will be brought down on them.
    They’ll crack.

    NEWS FLASH!!!

    DAVID MISCAVIGE CHASED BY COWBOYS

This just in, Chairman of the Board of the Religious Technology Center, David Miscavige, while coming out of a restaurant in Beverly Hills after dining with his pal Tom Cruise, found himself running for his life for twenty-three miles until he disappeared into a dense patch of woods on the outskirts of Malibu.

According to eye-witnesses, a group of approximately eleven people wearing ten-gallon cowboy hats and toy six-guns approached Miscavige and simply stood in front of him and looked at him for several seconds when he suddenly took off running down the street catching his pants on sidewalk store sign, effectively ripping his pants off in the process. There are unsubstantiated rumors of video having been taken of ‘COB’ as he’s known, running pants-less in black thong underwear in and out of traffic, down alley-ways and in and out of buildings until last seen approximately twenty-three miles away entering the forest outside Malibu, losing his pursuers.

Tom Cruise is said to have jumped onto his motorcycle while Miscavige took off running, and sped away in the opposite direction, leaving his doggie-bag on the sidewalk.

A call into the Church of Scientology headquarters was answered by a woman who said that Mr. Miscavige could not come to the phone right then.

  4. Well, that one brought tears to my eyes. Being a born and raised Texan, growing up in San Antonio, the emotions of the story and the hallowed grounds of the Alamo are very real to me. Glad you found the parallels in the stories. Many brave souls, Marty, Mike, Debbie and Wayne foremost at the moment but a much longer list, have been willing to put their personal integrity above their immediate lives in this battle for freedom. Right is on our side, we are attracting more support every hour of every day – from the media and non-Scientologists as well as those who have been in the church.

San Jacinto Day – the day Texans won their independence over the dictatorship of Santa Anna is April 21. Who knows that may become Scientology Freedom Day as well – if not sooner.

  5. Nice video, obvious analogy, comparing DM to Santa Anna. If the line in the sand is your Alamo, and the battle is the Cof$ lawsuit against Debbie Cook, there is a better way to fight. True, we all look back at the Alamo with certain romantic notions about how they drew the line in the sand and fought to the bigger end … but, the defenders of the Alamo were practical men, and, if they had a better way of fighting that would have achieved their objectives without the sacrifice of their lives, they obviously would have taken it. So what I will attempt to do here is point out exacty how toothless the Cof$ and all their high powered lawyers are.

Let us suppose that Debbie Cook did NOTHING to defend herself and that the Cof$ and their high priced law thugs obtained a default judgement. They would still have to collect. If Debbie had nothing in any account with her taxpayer ID on it, most usually an SSN … they wouldn’t be able to collect. I did this with a judgement against me … they went away after 10 years of me not using a personal taxpayer ID number. Just to let you know … 99% of the time that a taxpayer ID number such as an SSN is asked for there is no law that REQUIRES its use. That includes banks, insurance companies, employers, doctors, etc. To be honest, tho, banks are the absolute worst. Inspite of no law requiring an SSN for a bank account except in the case of “US persons” which is only defined in Title 26 and has a very narrow definiton at that … they have a POLICY of refusing to do business with anyone WITHOUT an SSN. Bottom line … you can circumvent all of their nonsense by using an LLC to hold your property and to give the bank an LLC taxpayer ID number to keep them happy. That foils a collection action, because that LLC is a different “person” than the one they have a judgement against.

But there is still another way to fight them. The Cof$ and all their high powered legal bullies can only come after a trust entity known as DEBBIE COOK as opposed to a real, live, woman known as Debbie Cook. Debbie Cook is the contributing beneficiary of the trust known as DEBBIE COOK, true enough. That trust was formed as a result of the birth registration process. The high powered lawyers for the Cof$ hope that Debbie Cook will confuse herself with DEBBIE COOK the trust entity, but she doesn’t have to. No law can stop her from abandoning her status as contributing beneficiary and no law can stop her from filing a lien action against DEBBIE COOK. Either technique would stop the Cof$ dead in its tracks. I suggest you google “Bursting Bubbles of Government Deception” and view for free on youtube. And for Marty and/or Mike … should you decide you want to learn more you know how to email me, I will provide you with all manner of resources.

    Pete

  6. We are left to surmise the purpose of M&M’s visit to Debbie Cook’s hometown historical site……the Alamo. I wonder what that is???

Well, there is one over-reaching, sawed off dictator that is NOT trying to guess what this means. Perfect message and perfect symbolism! I do believe this is the beginning of the dwarf’s run in his pantaloons.

  7. Antonio de Padua María Severino López de Santa Anna y Pérez de Lebrón (21 February 1794 – 21 June 1876) an arrogant dictator who lived 82 years as a parasite of the mexican persons. A bad politician but an exelent actor that gathered the back up of the crowds.

  8. haydn (T Paine)

Ah, the old problems of over reaching and arrogance:

The legendary Alamo, as covered, Napoleon and his invasion of Russia (just couldn’t leave it alone), Hitler’s failed invasion attempt of Britain and consequent invasion of Russia (he was the King of Europe until that point).

Miscavige just can’t resist “invading” San Antonio. When will these nut jobs ever learn?

  9. Love. this. Video. Truth spoken here. Thank you Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder.

  10. Yee Haaa! Marty and Mike you guys touch my heart with all of the incredible integrity and commitment in putting yourselves out in front and going to whatever lengths to do what is right…inspirational doesn’t even say it. What a battlefield location….San Antonio may become the place for another forever lasting winning battle cry……I am counting on it!

  11. Now that’s a spot on datum of comparable magnitude.

    Good points all around.

And, as far as I can tell, it’s nice to see you not being tailed by Generalissimo Santa-Mestsavage and his hysterical cohorts.

To this day, Texas remains a bastion of independence. When there is talk of modern day secession, Texas is usually in the discussion.

How ironic that upon Texas seceding from the union at the start of the Civil War, Sam Houston refused to swear loyalty to the Confederacy, and resigned as Governor.

  12. M&M:

While growing up & studying The Battle of the Alamo during Texas history class, I was obviously very excited when my dad announced a family trip to San Antonio. I was finally going to see where it all went down.

Unfortunately, I left San Antonio rather disappointed with the Alamo.

I can’t put my finger on one particular thing I was unhappy about. Perhaps it was the modernization of surroundings. i.e., airplanes, cars & buses zipping about or possibly the cheesily costumed tour guides vs. the “real thing” that I had created in my own mind. Regardless, something was missing.

Nonetheless, watching this video in present time with the two of you standing there like modern day “Bowie and Travis” under the circumstances we find ourselves in, I frickin’ love it because ..my childhood excitement regarding The Alamo has just been totally rehabilitated in a bigger, better and “grown up” kind of way!!

    Awesome & Thank you. 🙂

P.S. Santa Anna’s night time activities & his missing pants was definately omitted our TX history books back then. ..lol

  13. Thanks you for the report Marty. My family and I visited the Alamo in August 2011. We liked Texas so much that we are all moving there this February. We will be going to Austin which is about an hour from San Antonio.

  14. Ken, as an accomplished business man, and a native Texan, and a student of the history of the Alamo, you for sure understand the importance of a solid supply line for the troops on the front line. A battle, a war can not be won without solid supply backup.

  15. “Give me an army of West Point graduates and I’ll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies, and I’ll win the war.”
    – General George S. Patton

  16. Very cool Pete.

I know about some of this stuff being the sort of person who thinks about such things from time-to-time, you make some very good points.

Until recently (about 5:30am today!) I had not really considered the possibility of going toe-to-toe with RTC/CST/CMO/ASI by using the same damn type of structures. 🙂

I am doing a lot of think-think-think about about this stuff today; feelers and research mode. I am considering a ping to one of my buddies that is a very high-powered legal mind and very creative and ask him some general questions about such structures and the relative difficulty penetration of US Corps, LLC/ IBC and the like, when federated.

DM is able to get away with murder under the protection of the crazy-quilt of legal structures that LRH engineered. Maybe we can do the same sort of thing that is equally resilient; Maybe for purposes more theta than dominion over the Earth and shaking down Big Thetans for $$$. I am sure that’s not what LRH had in mind when he started building that crazy making theta trap 😉

  17. This was great M&M. Love it.

I am also inspired by Star Wars Episode IV. “A New Hope”
Every one should watch it every once in a while.
If you don’t want to re-watch the whole thing then watch the last 35 Mins or so (from right before the Millennium Falcon escapes the Death Star) Nah, just watch the whole thing. 🙂

It might make you smile when you think about fighting a 5’5″ Darth Vader, or uh, emperor! – LOL

  18. Thanks Tom. As some may not know the lyrics well, this version has them.
I think this message is appropriate for anyone who has met David Miscavige.
Especially the lyrics from 1:30 to 3:32 of this version of the song. Each person will have his own version of how long they’ve been waiting.

  19. LOL Santa An……oups David Micaviges last escape before capture.

  20. My quess he didn’t want this going on anywhere near FSO. Or should I say Tampa Bay Times.

  21. Thank you for taking us on your travels Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder. Awesome stuff.

a moving story about the rescue of Valentine the Whale and the universal truth of goodness, fellowship and Freedom, the fundamental Right for All Life

  22. Be very careful before following Pete’s advice. The tinfoil is very strong with that one.

  23. Cindy Pinsonnault

    Amen! Thanks for this Yvonne.

  24. Very cool Yvonne…I was born this lifetime on the 21st or April. My grandparents came from Texas to settle in Prescott, AZ. I have always been a freedom fighter…came up a lot in auditing…here I am once again with a big smile…waiting for the next battle.

  25. Thanks Ken. You and Yvonne stand tall as Texans who exemplify the word integrity. I thought of you both and some others whom I have met in the last 2 years when I was looking at the statue of those brave men and women with backbones of cold, chrome steel who stood tall at the Alamo.

  26. No, he won’t.

He is as predictable as night following day. Hit at his vanity or threaten his power and his knee-jerk reaction is sure to follow and put him in an even more precarious position. And eventually his position, like those you cite above and many others through history, will become untenable and he will withdraw from the game.

  27. There is a big, big elephant in the room no one is talking about on this blog.
Why is Marty who lives 160 miles NW of San Antonio, TX talking to Mike who lives 1,133 miles due east of San Antonio, TX about visiting this historical site.

Yes, yes I know they are making parallels of SP dictators….They really did not need to travel that distance to make their point.

I’m can’t help my self….WHY San Antonio, TX in the dead of winter.

You think POB might be asking the same question.

  28. Jack — did you ever see Close Encoutners of the Third Kind? Some alien force drew us….

  29. I’m proud to be a native Texan because Texans have two reputations. The word itself comes from “tejas” — the Spanish spelling of the American Indian (Caddo tribe) word taysha, meaning “friend, ally.” The Spanish knew the Caddo people and in the 17th century called them “the great kingdom of Tejas.” The the name lived on to become the Republic of Texas.

Because second upon their reputation of friendship, Texans are known for their sense of honor; the most telling example being those who shed their blood in the Alamo sand and into the soul of history.

(Funny, these two qualities are also what Independent Scientologists are known for. So that makes you an honorary Texan.)

100 years later, in 1936, Texas celebrated it’s first Centennial — 100 year birthday of it’s independence. The original Centennial buildings still stand today. And last October Texas celebrated its 175th birthday at the Texas State Fair — the largest state fair in the USA, held annually in Dallas.

Marking the occasion, was a special exhibit of historical artifacts. I stood before and gazed upon the personal possessions of Texas heroes the likes of Sam Houston, William Barrett Travis, Jim Bowie and Davy Crockett.

But also on exhibit was the story of Santa Anna along with his personal possessions. Captured from the tent Marty spoke of in his video, I saw Santa Anna’s brass candlestick and other belongings suddenly abandoned 175 years ago on April 21, 1836. I touched Jim Bowie’s knife. But Santa Anna’s field desk, his coat, boots, shirt and pantaloons, his writing implements and inkwell and especially… his candlestick was more satisfying because it was one of the last things he touched on the day of his capture and resounding defeat.

Some day the personal artifacts of David Miscavige will be on display. Personal artifacts captured from the psychopath who failed to unmock Scientology and stop man’s quest for Total Freedom.

For any who may not have read it recently, here is LRH’s code of honor:

    1. Never desert a comrade in need, in danger or in trouble.

    2. Never withdraw allegiance once granted.

    3. Never desert a group to which you owe your support.

    4. Never disparage yourself or minimize your strength or power.

    5. Never need praise, approval or sympathy.

    6. Never compromise with your own reality.

    7. Never permit your affinity to be alloyed.

    8. Do not give or receive communication unless you yourself desire it.

    9. Your self-determinism and your honor are more important than your immediate life.

    10. Your integrity to yourself is more important than your body.

    11. Never regret yesterday. Life is in you today, and you make your tomorrow.

    12. Never fear to hurt another in a just cause.

    13. Don’t desire to be liked or admired.

    14. Be your own adviser, keep your own counsel and select your own decisions.

    15. Be true to your own goals.

    — L. Ron Hubbard

  30. Beautifully written Steve. Perfectly summed up.

  31. LOL!!! +100

  32. Tom Gallagher

    Utterly perfect song Tom. Thanks!

Note to the dwarf, asthmatic, sociopath, black pope:

If I were under siege from the likes of a litigious, sociopathic, sawed-off knuckle head, I’d accept the offers of the most competent, knowledgeable and formidable allies available. Hmmm? They’re in San Antonio, right?

Let me put it to you bluntly, you sick sack of shit, David Miscavige. Your hand’s been called.

Your prison cell is going to be some kind of real ‘wake-up call’. Enjoy your evening.

Welcome – you may be surprised at the breadth and ability of the Independent NW here.

Ken, I believe this is where Miscavige will be brought to justice. It won’t be easy, but a line in the sand has been drawn in San Antonio.

    TC: “Yeah, I know.”

DM: “Really, Tom? You’re not just saying that?”

TC: “No way dude, you know I’m straight up. I’m right there with you on that, how many times do I have to tell you?.”

DM: “Yeah I know, Tom, it’s just that I still find it unbelievable that I’ve found someone…SOMEONE…who’s on the same page as I am, who’s a true believer, a patriot…dedicated…THE most dedicated Scientologist I know, someone who’s actually WORTHY of being a Scientologist…not like those other fake-Scientology celebrities who think their fame and fortune is gonna bring ’em into heaven or my staff who just get in the goddamn way and hold everything down. I’m not a fan of down.”

TC: “Yeah…ha ha ha…heh, heh, heh, HA! HA! HA! Yeah, I’ve seen that. I’m right there with you on that, Dave.”

    TC: “I hear ya’ bro’.”

DM: “Back to this Debbie Cook thing…”

TC: “Yeah, the friction’ aliens got her. I got ‘cha. How else could that have happened. I mean, it’s in the Tech for chrissakes.”

    DM: “Totally!”

TC: “Ya think she was PDHed??!”

DM: “That’s the only thing that answers it. That’s pure Data Series, ain’t it?!”

TC: “Whoah!!!!!! Unreal! What a planet! People are mesmerized, drugged or have been PDHed!!!!!! Those bastards from UP THERE have been working this shit behind our back, man!!! THE WHOLE TIME!!!”

    DM: “Duh.”

TC: “Yeah, I hear ya. I’m right there with ya!”

DM: “Cool. Gotta go bust some heads now, get some production. If I don’t show, no production gets done.”

TC: “Ok, cool. Go for it! See ya! Good luck with the PR!!”

    DM: “HA!!! PR! Right! Bye!”

    TC: “Bye!!”

  37. Great video M&M! You really showed the similarities and parallels very well of the two sociopath dictators of the original Alamo and current Battle of Alamo 2012! Looking forward to more Travelogues…

  38. I seem to remember there were two types that got dumped here on Earth – the criminals and the rebels. I’m guessing you and I have both revealed ourselves to be in the second category.

  39. OT — Operatin’ Texan

  40. Mike and Marty,

Great video. Inspirational message. You know me and Karry have your backs on this.

By the way, I love these video briefings. How about a monthly (or so) installment?

    Scott

  41. Weird! I’ve just gotten through making a potato replica of the Alamo! Is this some kinda sign err what!?

  42. Correction – apparently it’s a meat pie replica.

  43. Mr. Mike you slay me.

  44. Phil Collins rocks!!!!!! Great going M&M!!!!!!!!!!

  45. Or maybe you were invited. Invited by the draw of battle aborning and the need to draw the line in the sand.

  46. Laudable

  47. Tom Gallagher

Oh hell Jack, let’s share a scene of final and instant justice. Fitting, considering the crimes of POB. Are they inexorably unforgivable?

    NEWS FLASH UPDATE!!!

More leaked text messages between Dave and Tom:

DM: “Shit Tom, what the hell, how many people do I have to destroy before everyone knows I’m just trying to create a Civilization Without Insanity, Without War, Without Criminals, Where the Able Can Prosper and an Honest Person Has Rights???!!!”

TC: “D, check it out man, between the two of us we’ve got enough money to pin the enemies to the wall and make ’em cry UNCLE! We can have battalions of law firms marching across the continent, briefcases in hand, depositions poised, injunctions up the wazoo, restraining orders all over the place. Man, now we’re talking. Full battle!! Make ’em beg for ROCK AND ROLL, Dave!!!!”

DM: “TC, you are one cool cat, bro’.”

TC: “Right back at ya, Dave, right back at cha.”

    (sound of sighing heard)

  49. Thanks Marty and Mike,
Quite a battle back then and the parallel now.
And thanks Thoughtful for your input on your blog about standing up
and be counted at this time. Flanking skirmishes to the major battle
depletes resources and lower morale and power of the troops and can
easily defeat a much larger army. Guerrilla warfare. So make yourself
known on the side of LRH. OSA will have a lot of fires to put out.

By the way, wasn’t some of the fighters at the Alamo from Tennessee?!
Well, there are a lot of good folks here and I am proud to be a gun toting
tobacco chewing good old boy in this part of the country.

    Lasse

  50. Welcome Lars, thanks for adding your voice to the growing chorus.

  51. martyrathbun09

Welcome! Yes, Boone and Crockett I believe, and of course the guy who whupped him at San Jacinto (Houston) were from Tennessee.

  52. Are you the viking dude that were once in the GO?

  53. Hi Raul,

Never was in the GO as I was busy auditing in the field and a mission.
But I did help Social Coordination with Narconon LA at one point. And
yes I am from Sweden so the Viking DNA helps.

    Lasse

  54. “THE CRIMINAL, NO MATTER WHAT HARM HE IS DOING TO OTHERS, IS ALSO SEEKING TO DESTROY HIMSELF. HE IS IN PROTEST AGAINST HIS OWN SURVIVAL.”

If LRH is right in that man is basically good (and I believe he is correct) then somewhere deeeeeeeeeep down inside, miscavige is screaming for someone to please stop him. That pint sized narcissistic misanthrope with pathological delusions of grandeur valence that he presents to the world around him is merely a mocked up valence to cover up the terror he really feels day in and day out, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Time to put him out of his misery?

david miscavige (Santa Ana) meet your Houston. But then, you always knew it, didn’t you dave?

    That is the shit Random!!

  56. Tony DePhillips

Sweet. I can see them looking lovingly in each others eyes now…

  57. Yvonne,
Once before the area of San Antonio was a battleground which resulted in freedom. I look forward to another day of freedom just as I know you do. And just as before, the excesses in brutal actions against others by evil ones will bring about a cause of action which shall forever change the tides of man. May we look back upon this time as the era of the big changes. Freedom for all who seek it.

  58. Tony DePhillips

  59. Are you serious or is this a joke?

  60. Oh oh Davey you better dispatch forces up to Twin Cities and start your campaign against the Pioneer Press they are messing up the PR for your Ideal Morgue up there.
    http://www.twincities.com/national/ci_19875252

  61. Maybe the San Antonio Express news would be so kind as to run this same story for you.

  62. Hi Marty and Mike, I like your video here and its message. I also liked the videos you did last year where y’all were fishin’ and talkin’ in Marty’s back yard.

I think Debbie Cook’s email on New Year’s Day has proven to the world that all one has to do to get attacked by the church of Miscavige is to simply ask for the standard and correct application of Scientology as written by L Ron Hubbard.

  63. I must say, some the people on this blog are pretty darn cool.
Are any of the Scn Indies in the greater Portland area? If so, I would love to grab coffee sometime and swap stories.

I was on-lines in Portland and had been determined an Illegal-PC so was traveling the seldom walked “study your way to OT” route of the bridge.
I became rather disillusioned(!) about the whole subject area back in the late 1996 time frame when I was completing an auditing internship at PTLD and got pulled into a cycle to sort me out that was to happen at LA-Day / AOLA. Short story is I was very bummed out after having experienced what life was like if I went “Up Lines” to get sorted out and decided “That’s It!” — Decided to focus on some of my other varied interests and withdrew from CoS lines.

I decided to approach the CoS again a few years ago and for whatever reason decided to say some fairly provocative things to a very nice guy in HCO at Stevens Creek Org (Hi!) . Some was certainly justifiable and some was me being in a very strange place in my life and venting. Long story short, I shortly learned I have been “declared”… My immediate reaction was “cool, but declared what???”

There’s more of this story, some of it rather amusing/shocking that I will save for later 🙂

Still looking to have my RUDS flown by somebody thats not quivering with terror that their certs will be pulled ; Probably have an ARCx on cannot get ARCx assessment done. Very thorny technical case this one. No wonder it through them for loops. LOL.

French Court Upholds Scientology Fraud Conviction

“A French appeals court on Thursday upheld the Church of Scientology’s 2009 fraud conviction on charges it pressured members into paying large sums for questionable remedies.

The case began with a legal complaint by a young woman who said she took out loans and spent the equivalent of €21,000 ($28,000) on books, courses and “purification packages” after being recruited in 1998. When she sought reimbursement and to leave the group, its leadership refused to allow either. She was among three eventual plaintiffs.”

    For the record:
Way back in 1981-82, not long after I blew Flag with my wife, I was in a bit of deep s..t without a job and without friends and it was then that I contacted someone I had met at Flag and was friendly. He was one of the casualties of Miscavige’s slaughter of the Mission Network and he was a Texan. When I asked for help he, without hesitation found me a job in Dallas where I worked for 3 years and got back on my feet. 30 years on I am still extremely grateful for his help. His name was Dean Stokes, previously married to Vicky Aznaran. If anyone is in touch with him and can connect us, I would appreciate it.

  73. Remember the Alamo, Goliad and Jacinto – both the tragedies and the winning.
Marty and Mike so beautifully tease on the details of the unfolding story but this is one on which the plotline is forged in iron. The approaching checkmate will become obvious in 2012 to many, if not to our vain, little pope and the many other thieves in this world. Here we are being kind and allowing them all time to pack their silk underwear but they merely grow madder in more ways than one.
We hope our dear Phil Collins finds a little more of himself. He deserves it after give us so much beauty. ” Go far enough and you will reach, a place where the sea runs underneath. We’ll see our shadow, high in the sky…”

  74. Marty and Mosie, I should have said, “From this old Roman General” to not be ambiguous”.
Thetans love explosions. We’re going to be getting lots of these.

  75. Wow, after reading up on the battle at San Jancinto, I see why nobody wants to screw around with a Texan!

  77. “The only thing you can be upbraided for by students or pcs is “no results.” Trouble spots occur where there are “no results.” Attacks from governments or monopolies occur only where there are “NO RESULTS” or “BAD RESULTS.” (emphasis added)

L RON HUBBARD HCO PL KSW #1 KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING

When the f&%$ is David Miscavige, OSA, Inc and the whole Hee Haw gang of sheeple going to APPLY THE TRUE TECHNOLOGY?!?!?!

I mean, KSW #1 is on every checksheet on every Div 4 course. I have M-9ed it at least a half a dozen times on cramming lines alone! By the time one is on his/her OT levels, one would have to have read it at least 10 times, at least. The illogic is so, so ILLOGICAL!!! Its right there, but “it must not apply because the attacts are from SPs.” Or some other strange illogic that is use in church. The disconnect is just f#@%in amazing.

It remines me of the line from ‘Cold Mountain’:

“They call this war a cloud over the land. But they made the weather and then they stand in the rain and say ‘Shit, it’s raining!”

    Hi Bruce,
There are quite a few Indies living in the Portland area. Post your email address and I will contact some people I know and they can get in touch with you if they want.
As far as auditing in the field goes, there are lots of auditors around. Just keep reading this blog and you will find someone.

  81. JA,

Dead of winter here in San Antonio is mid 70’s. It’s the summer when you don’t want to be here.

I for one sincerely appreciate the focus of Mike and Marty. It costs money to travel around like they do to help others. They don’t complain, they don’t ask. Help if you can.

    David

  82. Except they don’t make the difference between LRH Tech and Radical Church so they condemn the whole together. What they basically say is the WHOLE tech is a scam.
So yes it is good to halt the abuse but it is not so nice to hear disparaging comments regarding LRH.
As always, the application of standard tech (in delivery and in reimbursing the money when asked) would have prevented any lawsuit.
Also the illegal exercise of pharmacy is selling the vitamins for the Purif…At the time it was not allowed to sell vitamins anywhere except in pharmacy…
So this judgement is a step, but by no means a huge victory.

  83. I had the same reaction the first time I visited the Alamo as a child – seemed so small and disappointing compared to my mental vision and all the stories. For those who’ve never been there – the Alamo now sits in downtown San Antonio, surrounded by the blur of modern life. It seems almost swallowed up by all the hustle and bustle.

In time I came to see the Alamo as symbolic of what happens with history in general – that small numbers of dedicated beings with a strong purpose can turn history in ways that one may not see at the time of the event, but in retrospect are monumental. And… such monumental moments and lessons they carry can easily be swallowed up – forgotten in the march of human time, the wants, needs, and desires of everyday life.

The MEST of it – the Alamo itself, a small fort in the great and once forbidding land of Texas – is only a symbol, much as a diamond is a symbol and product of the great forces of nature. Symbols such as the Alamo serve to remind us of the great things that can be accomplished when the cause is just and the intention and purpose is strong. It is a fitting symbol.

  84. Thanks! That made my day!

  85. Question With Boldness

The Debbie Cook letter is still creating fallout for the C of $ here in Colorado. There have been many, many public here that have seen and agreed with Debbie’s letter.

As I predicted, Monday, a mission arrived from the Freewinds. Mark Kamera is leading the mission.. Many of the field here are being called in to get handled. There have also been MAA’s from Flag calling the Public to handle them on Debbie’s letter. The public is handling this in two ways:
    1. Not answering the door or the phone calls
    2. Lying

This is basically persecution. The newbies have to choose between their family or telling the truth. Most of the OT’s are lying as they know what happened to me and my family. I predict that the “Mission” is going to push the Public further from the C of $.

The “Church” is clearly acting out of desperation. An MAA from Flag told a Public last week, that he spends his entire day calling Public to handle them on Debbie’s letter.

Debbie, your letter is still producing results. Thank you very much for entering the arena with POB. I know this is a rough fight. Let us know if we can help you. Our group in Colorado is getting larger every week. This fight is for all of us.

    Cindy

  86. Good point Sandra.

There is a years-long initiative in Europe to bring the use vitamins completely under the dictate of the medical doctors. In many countries one must get a prescription for some vitamins, niacin in particular is one, I believe.

It is the doctor who determines how much of any vitamins you are allowed to buy, and the dosage.

    Not a good scene.

However, it seems likely that had there been medical doctors involved in the Purification programs being delivered there, these charges could have been avoided. Possibly the vitamins and Purifs were not being honestly sold and delivered.

  87. Speaking of Declares, “I do declare!” was one of Foghorn Leghorn’s famous lines, but I couldn’t find it on Youtube. Here’s a substitute:

  88. Thanks Leonore.

    Very well written.

You duplicated & wrote exactly what I was thinking much better than I did. You’re hired!

As a native Texan–could not agree more!

A symbol, it is–The Alamo. A symbol of freedom fought for & eventually won! .

Remember the Alamo and San Jacinto too!

By the way, If I could live anywhere in Texas, it would be San Antonio. I’ve been many times (even celebrated an Anniversary weekend there on the River Walk). I’m officially in love with the city of San Antonio. Just love the overall tone level, The River Walk, the festivals, food, music..all of it. Lots of pics from there.

I’m happy that Debbie is there. It’s the perfect place to relax, re-group, destimulate and write daily battle plans. 🙂

  89. The court order for Celebrity Center and Bookstore to publish details of judgment is most interesting! I would like to know more about the planned or ordered implementation. I feel sorry for the course supervisors and auditors ensnared in this mess, Yes, “upbraided for no or bad results” is correct.

When did the policy to refund promptly on request change? This was once a firm policy and actually done, but that was when Org management was more local and an Exec Council and Exec staff actually had some control and responsibility for policy and tech delivered at the org (not just obeying “command intention”).

I once encountered a fairly new public demanding auditing immediately (ostensibly as a “cure”) who said he had just been diagnosed with a rapidly growing cancer. It had all the earmarks of a set up for practicing medicine without a license, so I had ALL his service fees paid to date refunded immediately. We offered caring communication and chaplain services free, but referred the individual back to his medical doctors for treatment. I don’t know today if the individual really had a rapidly growing cancer, and I am sorry if he did. However, we were quite aware that there were efforts to “get” (stop, shut down, bring under censure of medical/psychiatric/psychological licensing boards) the Church for offering cures and practicing medicine or psychology without a license, so attention was paid to this sort of thing.

The refund policy side-stepped many problems. Moreover, it was the right thing to do and gave those reaching for services some confidence in the fairness of exchange they would get! Refund requests were infrequent.

  90. You’re describing a scenario that seems to be the most powerful result of Debbie Cook’s e-mail. The Church of Scientology is so paranoid that they’ll probably try to “handle” every single one of the 12,000+ people who received Debbie’s e-mail. If as Marty says, they’ve hacked her e-mail account and gotten a hold of the distribution list, they’ll know who it went to. And one can just imagine how many of those 12,000 people called in for sec checking are going to say, “why should I pay to be interrogated for hours to prove myself innocent for one lousy e-mail that I didn’t ask to receive?” And the remaining people in the Church of Scientology who didn’t get the e-mail directly are going to be sec checked endlessly to prove that they didn’t get it forwarded from a friend. It’ll be as bad as Stalin-era Russia, where everybody informed on everybody else, and everybody was assumed to be conspiring against the top guy. Nobody was safe.

If they were willing to waste $10 million to $15 million on ad buys (see my comment on an earlier post of Marty’s for details of the math) in a couple highly visible shows to “disprove” just one of Debbie’s assertions (that the Church of Scientology is no longer disseminating to get new public in), then one can imagine how much money they’re willing to waste on the real bread and butter issue — keeping the existing members from flying the coop. So what you’re describing is entirely what one would expect from the maximally paranoid midget hunkered in the bunker.
