Dear Andrew, Taryn & Cathy,
You made a big issue out of my failure to respond to your letters, so I am responding herewith to the letters each of you sent.
I note that Jude sent me a letter when I was living in Denver – but didn’t send another in the second round after I moved near where she lives, and Benjamin didn’t send me a letter at all. I guess the Church is worried that I may respond in person by paying her or Benjamin a visit and it sort of blows the “You have disconnected from your family and refuse to communicate to them” line when I show up and they are unwilling to talk to me (as when I went to the Fort Harrison and requested to see Benjamin).
I also note your letters were coordinated, all coming from the address of the International Justice Chief. You put notes saying you want me to respond to that address because you are “following LRH policy.” How so? If I am an SP, my only terminal is IJC. No policy says IJC is your postal service. And if you are following what the Church now claims is LRH policy – then these letters are disconnection letters. Or are you trying to “handle” me and get yourself to gentle cause? Which is it? Handle or disconnect? Somehow you seem to be demanding that I communicate with you? But only if it is supervised? I really don’t know, what policy it is that you are applying?
I also respond here to the letters you sent to the St Petersburg Times. Those letters attempted to spin the encounter at the doctors into a “family dispute” that occurred because you just “happened” to see me driving into her parking lot (This story doesn’t quite square with “we are routing this from IJC as we are following LRH policy” – is this a family matter or a church matter?). Odd though that none of you mentioned the 4 people from “International Management” or the 2 PIs that accompanied you on this “family dispute resolution”? And you failed to mention that you had been following me for at least a day prior to showing up at the doctor’s office (Andrew, you said “I saw you yesterday and you looked terrible” – the only time I had left home that day was to ride my bike half a mile to the beach with Christie and Shane so I guess you were staked out next to the park in one of the SUVs with blacked out windows?). You also told the SP Times that you were here visiting Jude and Benjamin – yet you said to me twice “You have no idea what I had to go through to be able to talk to you, Mike.” And where were Benjamin and Jude if you were here visiting them and just happened to be out driving around? And why did you have two rental cars for you, Taryn and Cathy when neither Taryn nor Cathy drives?
But, like with everything in the church today, I do understand the position you are in and what you are required to do, and I bear you no ill will. In fact, Andrew and Taryn, as you will recall, I told you from the outset, and repeated a number of times, that I would happily talk to you without the screaming audience present.
And by the by Andrew, I guess you hadn’t experienced the raving madwoman insanity of Jenny Linson before. I challenge you to honestly ask yourself: “Is this really one of the most senior executives in Scientology?” Yes, unfortunately. But in truth she is just a wind-up doll that spouts the words that David Miscavige tells her to scream and is otherwise incapable of original thought. That is why she is one of his most trusted pit bulls he sends out to make a fool of herself and Scientology on CNN and then again when she led the screaming in the “family dispute resolution” (though I thank God she is not family).
Finally on the SP Times letters, it would be a good idea to remember the episode was recorded by the BBC. Don’t fall into the trap of lying on behalf of the church to the media. It never works out in the long run.
Sadly, I don’t believe you will read this letter, as it would be “spreading black PR” for you to see it. Possibly you will be shown some edited version. That’s why I put it on the internet so perhaps there is a chance that at least you Andrew can read the entire letter. You should.
If you had really intended for me to respond to your letters I would have suggested a different approach that didn’t include saying the following: “You are not even a Scientologist, so stop pretending.” “Maybe you should check out of this game and go sit on a rock for a few million years, way out of the way.” “Overwhelmed, implanted, evil-purp beings like you…” “We will continue to flourish and prosper despite your feeble efforts to make yourself, and the bunch of fruitcakes you hang out with, right.” “The American Psychiatric Association is in the phone book. Why don’t you give them a call. You are 95% in their camp by now anyway.” “Go contemplate at a rock for a long time and destimulate.” “You could not actually have a soul. It could only be rock solid blackness…” “You think you can fake out other people, taking advantage of the fact they don’t actually know you weren’t a Scientologist, having never studied or practiced the Religion you are now so viciously attacking.” “You continue to prove that you really don’t care about anyone and have no personal desires for betterment and never did.” And that’s just a few comments from 12 type-written pages of similar stuff. I take it you were following what someone told you was the way to “handle” SPs? Whoever it was gave you some really bad advice because it only served to make me more determined to do whatever is needed to end the insanity that has pervaded Scientology which includes turning family members against one another.
Your letters gave me the distinct impression that the only thing you would want to hear from me was “I am sorry I have been so stupid, I am reporting back to the bilges/Hole/tent on the golf course and I will write up steps A-E 5 times through” But, that isn’t going to happen, so why respond?
The foundation for that impression was the letter I received from Cathy when I reached out to her after I first left. I asked her to call me or come and visit. Her response, and I quote: “Fuck off. That is the last thing I would want to do. PS: I’ll send the divorce papers and brief the kids.” Cathy, what is it with the divorce? OSA lawyers put the papers together for you as the petitioner, I signed them, and they were filed and assigned a case number in Los Angeles Superior Court (BD476191) on Nov 19, 2007. It’s a formality to have an uncontested divorce with no mutual property and no child custody go through the court process. Yet, now, when it is convenient (i.e. in dealing with the media?) you claim you are still my wife, though you use some other name – Bernardini — neither your maiden nor earlier married names? What is this about? Based on your communication at the outset, the letters you have sent and your screaming tirades when you “happened to see me,” including your command to “stay away from Benjamin” I would hazard a guess that you don’t want to be married to me (nor by the way do I want to be married to you). Apparently you don’t even want to sully yourself by using my name. So, why scream “He is my husband” at the doctor? Did you (or OSA) do something to prevent your divorce petition from being finalized? Is this another good tactical move to combat “the SP”?
And while on this subject – Monique Yingling told the St Petersburg Times that I had refused to see you in Denver. She claimed that you were there to inform me about the situation with Benjamin and that I did not want to talk to you. Just so you know, and I have a recording of this meeting, she never told me you were in Denver and never told me there was any information I needed to know about Benjamin. And you didn’t try to call me, even though you reportedly flew to Denver to see me (I take it you weren’t there skiing?). Monique called me on my cell phone. Why didn’t you? You even have my email address – so does Linda Hamel and others in OSA. When Monique called me and said she was in town and wanted to see me, I arranged to see her. I would have done the same with you (though Tommy came all the way to Denver and stated he was there to see me too – but when I tried to call him to arrange a time and place, Monique wouldn’t let him talk to me).
So the record is clear, it was only after the 6 man team came to Denver to try and handle me and I told Monique she should go back to LA and deal with the rot that was destroying Scientology from within that you all decided to write to me. This was two years after I had left the SO. I had sent Xmas cards to everyone and the only person who responded was Barbara – until she too was told she could not communicate to me and sent me an “IJC” letter. Her cards and letters were nice, telling me I will always be her son regardless of anything and good roads, fair weather chat about dogs and kids and mundane matters. Mine were similar in response as I had no intention of creating any further upset for her. I was simply letting her know I was OK and wasn’t living in poverty under a bridge or dying of leukemia because I thought she would worry. I didn’t “suppress” her or give her a bunch of entheta. Andrew, I am sure you have seen those cards and letters by now – she even sent me photos of James and his wife and child, so proud to be a great-grandma. Barbara said she was too old to travel to the Freewinds or Flag again, so she had “nothing to lose” by communicating with me but was very worried that Andrew and Pat would find out. But that was too good to last – after all, her being in contact with me was “preventing her Bridge progress” – NOT – she told me she was on the Academy levels at the org and doing great auditing others, of course, she couldn’t do OT IX and X as they don’t exist. So, the letters that you then sent to me, along with the less than subtle effort to buy my silence by Monique, solidified my conviction that I could not ignore the destruction of Scientology at the hands of David Miscavige.
The problem is that none of you know what is really going on. You have been fed a lot of information that contains enough grains of truth to be believable, and yet is perverted to create a very false picture.
You have no doubt been given all sorts of DA packs and materials about me. Don’t you think it’s a little odd that there are such materials about everyone? Isn’t it starting to set off alarm bells that every person who ever speaks out about what they have seen has “confessions” about how terrible they were and how they were all trying to destroy COB? You’ve written similar things Cathy, I have seen them with my own eyes. They are only not used because you continue to toe the line. But your confessions are just like everyone else’s – you admit you have tried to impede and overworked poor COB because unless you do that you won’t get out of the trouble you are in. I did at least 10 “A through Es” during the time I was either CO CMO Int, WDC OSA, CO OSA Int or in the Hole (that is probably more than you have done, Cathy, but I know for certain you did at least two A-E write ups because you were an SP along with everyone else in the Hole and they admit to terrible crimes and intentions towards Miscavige and Scientology). Now, it is impossible that every single person in International Management is out to destroy David Miscavige and Scientology. But if you look in every person’s files, you will find the same sort of “confessions”. He proclaims loudly and repeatedly that this is the “op” of Int Management and nobody is going to get anywhere until they admit to it. There are ready made “confessions” to “D/A” every person at the Int Base. It’s designed that way. And no prizes for guessing what LRH says about someone who claims everyone else is an SP.
And just as an aside: Didn’t it ever strike you as just the tiniest bit strange that I was the International Church Spokesperson while I had been declared by David Miscavige, not once, but at least 5 times. And that I was doing this after those “confessions” that are published in Freedom Mag or handed out in D/A packs. I would come out of the Hole or the bilges or OGH or the lake at St Hill as a total SP (according to DM), put on a suit or tuxedo and be the church spokesman or a speaker at one of the phony Int events? Is that standard Scientology policy at work?
The majority of the sensational “entheta” about David Miscavige concerns his physical and mental abuse of people. I know that in the circumstances you are in, you will swear under oath that black is white in order to protect him and his acts. But Cathy, you have seen it. Don’t pretend you haven’t. You just believe it is acceptable behavior because of all the “wonderful things” he does. But those two data don’t add up – savior of Scientology and vicious tyrant. And if it really is OK in your mind that he acts the way he does – why is everyone lying about it? Why not come out and say “Yes, he does beat people and he mentally abuses them, but we all think it is OK because he does so much good for Scientology”. Don’t kid yourself that it is just because “wogs” wouldn’t understand how it is the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics. No, 97.5% of Scientologists would be horrified if the church admitted the truth and the flow of funds would dry up. That’s DM’s dirty little secret. Scientology is supposed to be about the truth. Not covering up what goes on behind closed doors. That internal rot is a symptom of the decay of the church because it no longer represents truth.
Taryn, I don’t know for a fact if you have personally witnessed Miscavige wailing on someone, but if not, I am sure you have heard from plenty of people who have seen Gary Wiese being hit by him, and probably also Guillaume, Heber, Yager, Mithoff. Henning Benndorf saw it hundreds of times and Miscavige told Henning to hit people on his behalf. Henning was in SFX a lot. When I asked you whether it was OK for Miscavige to hit people, your response to me was “I never saw him hit you.” Probably true. But it was not a response to the question I asked.
Andrew, I know you haven’t seen this sort of insane behavior. Nor have you witnessed the mental abuse. You know I was in the bilges for more than a month with Guillaume, Heber and Yager at the same time Barb was on the Ship completing OT VIII. I had to be kept out of her sight in case it enturbulated her. When she attested, I was brought out of the bilges for an hour to get cleaned up and sit with her in the Heritage restaurant while someone stood guard at the door to ensure I didn’t do something funny. It’s odd, I was so happy for her, but it was such a strange situation, it was difficult to not let my true feelings (“What the fuck is happening here?”) show through. But that’s the weird shit that goes on. You can ask Barb about it. I am sure she will remember. I had people go ahead of me to ensure she wasn’t in any passageway if I ever went out of the bilges. I know she thought it odd that I had been on the ship for a month after MV and she hadn’t seen me.
But honestly, Miscavige’s insane treatment of SO members isn’t the most major departure from the ideal scene. It is just a manifestation of his aberration and the true crimes that he is engaged in.
I asked you Andrew if you knew what inurement was. Hopefully by now you have had the good sense to look it up. Miscavige is guilty a hundred times over. And that could bring about the demise of the Church. He knows it, but he thinks he is above the law (as well as policy) and can outsmart anyone. He can’t. But more importantly, he is in direct violation of very strict LRH policy. You have probably been convinced that “COB” deserves everything he has and more. Dozens of cars. Private jets. Lavish quarters. Expensive meals. Outrageous gifts. Cooks and maids and servants and typists and secretaries and chiropractors and hairdressers and makeup men. The problem is, LRH didn’t have that. And LRH made his money by writing his own books. DM hasn’t done anything other than illegally assumed control of the Church and is reaping the rewards, not of his work, but by taking what LRH created. The $1500 per day for a scuba boat to sit next to the Freewinds, the lavish meals and expensive cars are paid for by the donations of good Scientologists like you. Just one day of that $1500 per day boat charter would probably pay someone’s monthly mortgage that they took out in order to increase their IAS Honor Status. The money spent on having 4 PIs follow me full time would buy 2000 copies of Dianetics every day that could be handed out to people for free. Did LRH waste money like that? No way. And if you look at the article, What our Fees Buy you will see what he has to say about this.
You have been convinced that the Ideal Orgs strategy is a wonderful, on Source program. It isn’t. It is propaganda by redefinition of words. The LRH game for orgs was to expand beyond the size of Old St Hill and with that done get the staff to OT. You don’t hear about this anymore, and the Universe Corps is a faded memory. THAT was LRH. “Ideal Orgs” is DM. This is what LRH says about the subject:
” We own a tremendous amount of property. We own a tremendous amount of material, and so forth. And it keeps growing. But that’s not important. When buildings get important to us, for God’s sake, some of you born revolutionists, will you please blow up central headquarters. If someone had put some HE (high explosives) under the Vatican long ago, Catholicism might still be going. Don’t get interested in real estate. Don’t get interested in the masses of buildings, because that’s not important.

But even more important than this is the perversion of fundamental Scientology. PTS/SP tech is being squirreled with disconnection used as a means of controlling people rather than a last resort tool to help someone de-PTS and lead a happier life. It’s so bad, the Church spokesman doesn’t even know what to say any more – he says one time that there is no such thing as disconnection and then tries to go back on it and say it “isn’t enforced” and then tries to say it’s like the Catholic religion. I mean, guys, why not come out and say what really happens. There isn’t a Scientologist in the world that doesn’t know how it goes. If what is being done IS standard Scientology – why not just come out and admit it?
And there are many other examples, including 6 month sec checks on OT VII, redefining F/N’s, a training line up that makes robot auditors. You will, of course, reject this out of hand. But look at the long term international stats – they don’t lie. And I know they suck as I have been into many orgs in the last 6 months and every single one of them is empty. From London to NY to Tampa to Dallas to Brighton to Orlando to Miami to Denver to Kansas City. And I have received first hand reports from people who have been into numerous other orgs. And while the propaganda line is “new orgs opening” in truth it is only new buildings opening. There hasn’t been a new org opened in recent history.
Here are some articles I suggest you read. They won’t take you long. And if you can truly think for yourself then you can make up your own mind. But I would hazard a guess that you a) will never be informed that they even exist, b) if you do hear of them you will be told not to read them because they are all lies or c) you will reject them out of hand as you have already been conditioned to believe that the internet only contains entheta intended to destroy you and Scientology. But, just imagine if LRH had lived his life that way. Afraid to look or see because someone told him it was all bad. He would never have discovered the reactive mind. Or anything else for that matter. What happened to the idea that Scientology teaches you to find answers for yourself? Here are the urls for the articles. If you can’t have a comm cycle without being supervised by someone in the church then I don’t know what freedom you feel you have achieved.
And remember, it is so very easy to dismiss everything that is said that doesn’t match the party line because there is a built in justification: they’re an SP, they didn’t really make any case gain (even though they may have attested to every level including OT VIII), they are not really a Scientologist, it is just their own overts etc etc. Some won’t confront reality until it is “acceptable” – i.e. that enough others have decided that this is reality so it is OK to go along. They can’t “think for themselves” and observe what they see. But that is what Scientology teaches you. And if all you can do is think according to the dictates of others, you are not truly free. I hope you can look and not brush off the outpoints you observe. And start to think for yourselves. Don’t wait until it has become “fashionable” – that is not the manner of a real Scientologist.
I wish you all happiness. I know how hard it is to find inside the cocoon. It is inevitable DM’s house of cards built on a quicksand of lies will fall. It’s only a matter of time and how much more destruction occurs before his reign comes to an end.

Mike, what an outstanding letter. That letter put ethics in like no letter I have ever read. This letter pertains to so many families with declared and undeclared members. People who think they are free but in reality can not be free because they continue to require the approval of others for their own existence. That is not freedom.
People need to think for themselves and base their determinations on the actions of their groups and their members.

Very well-written letter, Mike. The outpoints you list are so stark and so abundant someone would have to be either severely PTS or completely cut off from the fruits of observation to not see them.
To those lurking and reading this, I understand it takes a lot to confront this stuff and to confront the fact that one has spent the better part of one’s life and the better part of one’s income supporting the squirrel of squirrels. Having confronted that fact, myself however, and having come out the other side of it, I can honestly say that the sooner one confronts it, the better.
You don’t want to wait until it’s too late to do anything about it to realize you inadvertently contributed to the motion that destroyed Scientology.

Mike what a heartfelt communication. The operating basis of breaking up families, and tearing apart relationships is running rampant in the C of M.
The C of M labels anyone who is willing to stand up and speak about its crimes, as an “SP”. The hope is that other Scientologist will cut comm with these “SP”s. Though some do, I’ve been seeing so many others NOT cut comm.
There are so many “under the radar” Scientologist that have left the C of M. There are so many Scientologist who see these ridiculous false SP declares for what they are, and who WILL NOT and ARE NOT disconnecting.
The sheer number of SP declares is raising the questions amongst them of “How could there be so many?” To get their questions answered many are turning to these “SPs” and finding out the truth.
It is a beautiful thing to see a Scientologist realize the truth, and know that he no longer has to wear the chains of control that the C of M handed him.
These Scientologist have known something was wrong, they have witnessed the out-tech and out-ethics to one degree or another. Some have been locked in rooms while money was demanded of them, some have been threatened with ethics if they didn’t turn their underaged children over to the Sea Org.
Watching their eyes light up when they realize who the true SP is, is a beautiful thing. The charge blows and they take control of their lives once again.
It is my hope to see this for your family and for you to be reunited with them once again.

There are so many outpoints in the church at this point which are what have led me to be sitting out. And they happened bit by bit. I kind of stare at the scene in wonder. I want to reiterate how this is heartbreaking — Mike, we read about this, the *onslaught* of things said to you by people you love, by your own family that is pitted and controlled in blind, rabid attacks against you — this shouldn’t have to happen to anyone. You make excellent points in this — juxtaposing the outpoints, demonstrating the DM lies.
The amount of pain,the attempts to slander and introvert and *destroy* lives is … unspeakably wrong, and no word can ever describe the reality of what it feels like to be the target and recipient of these betrayals, as so many undergo.

My daughter just went through graduation at her high school. After the parties had finished and we were sitting around catching our breath, a profound sadness came over me. In the coming days she would be gone. Not gone for a couple of weeks like when she went to Europe, but for months.
And then she would move out entirely.
The emptiness left an aching that was nearly unbearable. All mixed with pride and joy and gratitude that such a wonderful being chose to come into my life.

“Ah, surely that isn’t happening.” When the church pretends it supports families, that is what the public want to believe. A person sitting in front of the TV with his or her family just does not want to believe that a church could be so callously evil.
No one wants to be ARC broken. What the church does is such an ARC break that members clutch at the idea that “this isn’t happening.” And the public wants to believe the PR and excuses and reasoning. “Just like the Catholics and other religions you all love so much. Yuk, yuk.”
To hold desperately to the lie is to maintain a “reality” that prevents one from being ARC broken. It’s kind of hard to break an unreality that’s accepted as reality. You have to come up to having a real reality to get an ARC break.

In addition, I have been through many ethic cycles where letters to friends & family, even conditions write ups were totally micro manage by the MAA. There is no way any of my MAAs would have ever let me write these words to anyone. They would have sent me for a session to handle my BPC. Hasn’t anyone else experience that kind of micro management? I’m not saying that it’s OK they do. It always annoyed the crap out of me that they did but they just did.
So I don’t believe that they didn’t micro manage your brother in this situation. “Micro managing” is probably too kind of a term, in this case. “Brain washing” is probably more accurate.

Mike, I really enjoy reading any communication from you on this blog. You’re just so sane! Anyone reading this can see this isn’t a letter from an SP. This is a very rational,intelligent, clear thinking and caring person. Your integrity and genuine concern for these people is completely obvious, not because you are tying to sound that way, but because you honestly want to help them, and help others, and that just comes through naturally.
This is the kind of person I’d want as my auditor, my friend or in my group.

By the way, I think this is a HUGE WHY with the Church. People were supposed to go out an trailblaze. It was that way in the beginning. People were encouraged to open missions and field groups and field audit and reach out and stand out and spread out and make it your own in your own neighborhood. A person wanting to open a mission now is penalized 40,000.00. Then taxed and policed. It is a crime if you are on your own and not part of the Sea Org. What crime have any of us committed beyond stepping away from the womb? Every once in a blue moon one pops out! Yeah! It did not used to be that way and when it was in a boom it was the opposite. It is so sad to hear about the destruction of families and so horribly unnecessary that you should have to endure this type of suppression from your family.
Obviously your family members are not applying LRH. He advises against creating antagonism and engaging in this type of behavior toward anyone in these situations, even an actual SP who truly is a “dirty dog”.
I want to encourage you to continue to apply the LRH available to handle the suppression you are encountering. Send your good roads cards and theta letters, and keep communicating on any lines you have. Send them to whichever address you have that is closest to the person you are trying to reach.
Miracles do happen and there’s a chance something will get through in the physical universe, or have some positive effect on anyone who might see them. But even if only in the theta universe, outflow = inflow, right?

Inurement is a HUGE issue with possible consequences far beyond the Church having to pay taxes & loss of non-profit designation. DM’s blatant corruption – financial, employment abuses, batteries, kidnapping – could bring down crushing government regulation/licensing/inspection & restriction on use of LRH’s materials and the re-characterization of auditing as harmful, unregulated mental technology. You can bet that raid won’t be just over a few documents copied from government files a la Pentagon Papers!
Scientology is NOT loved broadly. I know, I’ve lived professional life for a couple of decades where people don’t know I am a Scientologist. I’ve heard so much ridicule, disdain, disgust. It is far worse now than when I re-started my life post staff. Acceptances = near zilch, no matter the politicians who show up because they want staff block vote, no matter the glam TV ads, no matter the artifice of VM campaigns. Those things are transparent, and ordinary people see right through.

The good/bad thing about the internet is that it’s all recorded, anyone can go back and see what you actually said and when you said it – and it can be used against you – to people that cannot think for themselves. But in the end the effect that is created in the people you do want to reach is that they DO start to think and put it all in perspective. Your brother, Andrew, seems like the first one who’ll put himself in your shoes and try to understand where you’re coming from, and if I understand family dynamics, he’s the one that’s respected by everyone and thus he is able to put some kind of common sense to the scene in spite of the C of M insanities being bullied on everyone.

What a beautiful letter! Sadly, it will probably never be seen. Each paragraph is so packed with truth that it would be hard to edit it to be viewed at all. It was probably lost in the mail, damn postal service. I hope somehow they will find a way to hear the truth despite the barriers.
BTW, it is easy to find out if your divorce is truly final if your interested. Just go to the website for the Superior Court of the county it was filed in. I was able to watch the progress of mine completely on line. Yours should have gone through very easily, unless they failed to send in correct documents. This would result in immediate rejection.
My ex husband file and I waited the appropriate six months, thought I was divorced, only to find out they rejected it because one of the forms used was not the correct year. I had to refile all over again.

Soccer field = 1 time on one of the good sea org days
there were times in the early 90s when we got exercise time at about 11pm and we went out to play beach volleyball or run the par course – but that was it, a half an hour in the middle of the night… and that was the really good times!

And all hands (all GOLD crew) spent months and months renovating all of those wonderful studios without setting a foot at home – sleeping on floors of the studios or in attics without pay and under constant threat of “going in the lake” I was thrown in the lake several times on renovations evolutions if TMs (deadlines) weren’t met. Shortened meal breaks i.e. complete SLAVE LABOR
And by the way – all of the furniture and much of the renovations to the idle orgs are under this same labor.
CC Int renos was done exclusively by the RPF for years as was the HGB and many many more, all of which were very engramic for all of us who endured night after night of no sleep.
Those videos truly point that out – lavish quarters – every inch of which were under duress in the middle of the night. Why are there no people in the videos? Could it be because the people still at the int base are starting to share the look of concentration camp survivors??
By the way, the tennis court was strictly off-limits for Sea Org members as it is right next to the G-Units (I’m not making this up – for some reason, maybe Jackson knows) that is what the celebrity housing is called at GOLD.

To stun someone would make them immobile or stopped to a certain degree. The church is trying desparately to stop Mike.
Stun is also a good word because it is a temporary condition. Mike is unstoppable and determined as hell to make sure this truth gets know. There is no turning back now, the decison to expose the truth is now in full throttle. Much admiration and respect to all of the big contributors (and little ones, too).
Stun also is indicative of too much motion hitting at one time. This is where confusion and the stable datum come in and going back to basics on the anatomy of an SP really starts to make sense.

Seriously? This is the type of communication that the management of a religion puts out? Nice repeated deflection of attention with the flashing graphics depicting where DM was from October – December. Didn’t work on me. What about the period from January – September? Another footbullet with a .50 cal (caliber), IMO.
The problem of only a few people doing something about it is a case phenomenon. We have to break through that.

I understand it at an all time high because hearing Tommy, our
church spokesman (and a young man I thought the world of
previously),
lie created instability for me within the group I cherished so

Times are changing. We are becoming more and more aware of what is
really going on, and factually, what has been
going on all along. We’ve been die-hard Flag public and as a family
have availed ourselves of everything we could possibly
do in terms of processing and training. Yet, I find it hard to
fathom that while I was enjoying my extended stays at Flag
with family, having life changing wins, that others were being
deprived and denied in a complete polar opposite all that
I was being given. I won’t buy a product not made by “Fair Trade”
because I can’t live with that–even if it saves me a few
bucks. How do we create Scientology in a humane “fair trade” manner
on a regular basis?
I think this is the breaking point for me. I can no longer pretend
and not see, what in truth, I’ve suspected for a very
long time. I don’t know who to trust any longer. I’ve decided to
trust in myself and what I know, what I’ve seen for
myself and what I’ve experienced. And now the courage to say…
Well that’s currently my focus.
It’s time to bring the love and humanity and all that is spiritual

Flag Public
Actually, prior to the sports fields being built and the new courts, fields and exercise building for DM and TC, we had at one time a full court basketball court that was outside the perimeter fence in the mid 80s to be used on Sea Org Day.
Steve Willett used some left over cement to build the court.
This court was fantastic. In those days, DM was at ASI almost all of the time. After the Sea Org Day, the court was used for Exercise time daily. We actually got I think from 11:15 or 11:30 in the morning for exercise time until after lunch muster at 1 PM. We played as long as we could, no matter how hot it was outside.
We used to have some GREAT full court basketball games. I used to play almost every day and got in the best shape of my life. It was fun.
People who played on a routine basis included Greg Johnston, Ron Summerville, Tom Heil, Jason Bennick, Bob Azevedo, Gary Weise sometimes and Janis Grady played with us too. She was a tough player. We would play 2 of 2 or 3 on 3 full court.
Of course, once the RTC reorg happened in 1987, exercise time went out the window, but I do recall one time having DM, Marty and Greg Wilhere join us for a game on the court.
Marty may remember this. He dislocated a finger when a ball was knocked off the end 0f his finger.
Tough guy that he is, he turned to Wilhere and had him pull the finger out and put it back in place and then continued with the game.
Those basketball games were one of the true moments of fun and joy in those days. All while DM was away. Once he arrived full time, the games went away and the court torn up and replaced by a grassy field that Tom Cruise eventually used to land his helicopter.
During that same time period, I went on a diet to lose some weight and was doing the “Fit for Life” diet which was big at the time. A very healthy diet where you eat lots of fruits and vegtables and properly combine your foods for best digestion.
I lost 15 or 20 pounds and when I went out to ASI one day to handle something in LA, Hugh Wilhere (Greg’s brother) and several others noticed how good I looked. I told them about the diet.
They proceeded to go on the diet and also lost weight. When DM found out what they were doing, he got pissed off.
“Fit for Life” was “Off Source” and they were to stop it immediately.
Next time he came to the Gold/Int Base, he called me up to Yager’s office and told me that I was “Off Source” for following this diet and I was to stop immediately.
I proceeded to gain back the 2o pounds I had lost.
I had to laugh years later after I left, when I found out DM was doing his own “fad diet” drinking wheat grass on a daily basis.

Well, fan-F’ing-tastic! This was so well said and so good to hear.
I, too, “vote with my pocket book” when I spend, and I work at living more sustainably all the time.
The first action of non-support I took, in CoS, was not going to the events, not buying (figuratively and literally) the next “flavor of the month” new release or Wooptie-F’ing-Do campaign, and not putting one more dollar there.
Then, once I realized where that stink was coming from, and how bad it really was, I just had to “vote with my feet”, no longer wanting any affiliation with the facade. I had been so “faithfully” focused on the prize, the aims and goals, I’d missed and refused the reality – for too long, but better late than never.
Now I’ll stand, every chance I get, with those who are speaking out for healthy change and authenticity, and against the lies and abuses.
How can we not, now that we know?

You bring up an excellent comparison when you talk about “fair trade” products in stores and what is happening at the “Church of Scientology”.
I think the majority of the Scientologists would agree if they truly confronted the data. That is the first obstactle, getting them to look. Getting them to disagree with the church long enough to step outside the PR machine and look for themselves. Once that is accomplished the truth will tell itself.
Although I was crushed to discover the corruption inside and disappointment in my of own non recognition of it, I have been very happy, with my integrity returned, since disconnecting from the church. The truthliterally has set me free in more ways than I imagined.

So sorry to see your beautiful family torn apart like this. Of all the things that are wrong within the “church” I think this is probably the most insidious aspect of it. I cannot tell you how many ex-SO and ex-Scientologists I have spoken to personally who have told me similar stories of family break-ups and disconnection. It’s a form of violence IMO to reject your own children, parents, husband etc in such a way. I hope that one day your kids will wake up and realize that their father means well, and loves them. This violent game that DM is having them play on you really tugs at my heart as it does for the many other people that have experienced disconnection. Good luck Mike. I hope they get a chance to read your letter.

No Lucy, we didn’t have any of that. We came pretty close though:
We did have a lumpy bunk bed mattress to sleep on, beans and rice to warm our bellies and worn out shoes with holes in the bottom which provided adequate air-conditioning when our toes got too hot. Once in a while we got paid – sometimes as much as £20 a week. I’m sure that comes pretty close.

For years people have gotten these crafted communications full of almost insistent hypnotic derogatory statements.
It’s much like the trolls on the internet, and the Religious Freedom Watch website.
I had hoped your being over OSA for so many years, that you could name names, who are the OSA staffers who craft or who use the active Scientologists in the LA area who write this stuff.
We heard that Bill Yaude, Case Supervisor, Class 8, Sherman Oaks Mission, has been the troll “Roadrunner” on the internet for years.
These words in the derogatory letters, are crafted, and crafted by someone, and it is so obvious there are some wordsmiths who’ve been doing this for years.
Who are they? Who in OSA writes or approves this type of stuff?
This whole Religious Freedom Watch, and all the internet smearing you and Marty and others are getting is all of the same style.

I am also a Flag Public but keeping Fabian as I cherish the rare communications I have with my SO children monitored by an Ethics terminal, be that as it may. Although I try not to regret yesterday my one regret is that I influenced my children in joining the SO before I had my personal experience with it and was disabused. The living conditions at Flag for staff particularly when routing out were grim. The Hacienda is surrounded by tall fences and the security gate is guarded 24/7. I was a prisoner on two levels both physically and emotionally. If I left before I was OKed I would be declared automatically which would cut my communication with my family and friends. And then there were the fences. I worked daily for no pay during the rout out which took around 4 months.

The image of Scn and LRH today is the direct result of perversion of LRH’s writings, NOT because those writings are deficient. In the hands of a raving lunatic SP such as the mental midget, the philosophy of LRH has been dragged through the mud. It does not make the subject dirty, just to be perfectly clear here. And, there are many individuals who can see the difference. That you chose to remain silent is your right. It does not make it a ‘fait accompli” (an irreversible accomplishment) that LRH and Scn would not and could not be seen truthfully and clearly for what they are when the source of suppression (and all his connections) are removed. Had we known what we know now, things would have been much different. I agree with you completely on the fair trade aspect. Our Church has lost it’s way I’m afraid. And we have all contributed in some way. Just by pretending not to see what I was actually perceiving, I contributed to the motion. For every dollar we gave in an effort to end entheta reg cycles rather than walking out and writing it up, I contributed to this motion. But, life is in us today… So no time like the present to start contributing to the solution. Good to have more theta on the team.

I had no clue that my IAS “Hill 10” donations were buying swimming pools, basketball and tennis courts, even a golf course.
Maybe a “Call to Arms” refers to what ball, racket or club to use.
To the uninitiated who don’t know any better, unfortunately all the professional glitz in the video can make their position appear believable, and in the same token, CO$ can just about get away with anything by over-slicking truth with irrelevant PR.
Better than 50% of the videos’ content massages church expansion that has absolutely no bearing on the mousy little twerp’s abuse or the slavery it took to build all that glitz, and does little else but find another avenue to promote RTCs Scientology.
At least 2 of his flights went back to L.A. and he was there long enough to take a drive out to Hemet, proving absolutely nothing, except to again lace the video with ‘Shine & Glitz” to show new churches and aggrandize Miscavige’s accomplishments. Again, purely glitter promotion used to defer the real issues.
The fabric of this PR cloud will break one day …

Just recently revisited your reply to this older post… not sure if you will see it…
My comment was a leapfrog on Michael Rinder’s comment regarding inurement – David Miscavige’s blatant self-enrichment at the expense of the Church (and its staff and parishioners). Inurement can lose the Church its status as a non-profit, endanger the legal and social recognition of Scientology as a religious and spiritual/philosophical activity, and possibly risk the existence of the Church in any form.
DM is not the only actual or potential source of suppression. If the leader of the Church commits apparently criminal acts as have been described here and on other pro-LRH websites, it opens the door to other entities attacking the whole subject of Scientology. LRH fought various efforts of this nature since the 1950s. Without the recognition of religious and spiritual nature Scientology, governments – i.e. suppressives using government – can make it illegal to practice Scientology. There have been such efforts historically and internationally. For example, there could be licensing requirements that prohibit auditing unless you are a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and regulations that prohibit training of auditors outside of an accredited educational institution. If that happened, you or I or Marty or anyone could be accused of a criminal act for taking another into an auditing session! This is but one example, but I hope it will make my point more clear.
My comment is just to reinforce how harmful DM’s actions have been. His off-policy, out-tech, self-aggrandizing, and apparently criminal acts, potentially endanger the entire subject – our access to it and utilization of it – inside or outside the Church.
I completey agree with you that correct tech – correct applications of real LRH tech – results in great word of mouth, great PR, and broad public acceptance of the subject of Scientology. My point is further that the horrible PR for Scientology today, and the long term downtrending (and hidden) major stats of the Church today are a result of long-term gross misapplications and evidently hidden criminal behavior. The responsibility lies squarely on DM’s shoulders.
Personally, I think people are afraid to speak against him because they think it was LRH’s intention that DM take the reigns of Scientology. Scientologists don’t want to go against LRH intention. Once they become aware that his rise to “leadership” was a Machiavellian power grab, their fear of thinking and speaking out will fade.
That’s how I see it.
I’m so stunned. I’ve been tracking for awhile now. But this letter sealed the deal in stone for me. I was confused by the DA material and the “confessions” previously. OMG.
I have a young daughter on staff at a class V org. I’d like to give more details, but I’m worried it would give my identity away. I am having mixed emotions on whether to shake her world or leave her be. I beleive she is learning some valuable tools for life. She is NOT likely to go SO because of some previous experiences.
I’d like some advice, or better stated, some opinions. What if I leave well enough alone and she ends up full of cool aide? If I disrupt her now, what does she have left to believe in? This is what she has learned from me, to “guide” her life. If I don’t interupt soon, it might be too late. Perhaps it is already too late??? She has personally experienced some wildly “weird” things.
Man, I need to make a decision!

The best advice and best thing you can do for her is make sure you are a safe terminal for her to communicate *anything* to. So what’s going on in *HER* universe?
I also have observed that things are not all bad everywhere all the time. My god, if some scn is getting applied, that there had better be some good.
If you are really expert at gradients, you can scope out what her perceptions and knowingnesses are. Just for an example say while both looking at the latest promo like LA MODEAL, say “Geeze, why are there not more people in the these photos?” Gradients are marvelous. Archimedes was a genius. Sometimes we forget that gradients sometimes need to take into account the universe at each end. LRH was another genius.
The gradient could be the difference between meddling, caring and being prepared.
